- 0:00Speaker 1: She's on the Money, She's on the Money.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Hello, and welcome to Friday Drinks, the podcast where we
- 0:20Speaker 2: come together over a Veno Seleshi Vodka cruiser or two
- 0:24Speaker 2: to celebrate the She's on the Money community's achievements and
- 0:27Speaker 2: reflect on that week that was. Ryan John is here.
- 0:31Speaker 2: You've got Jessica Ricci, and we've also got our favorite friend,
- 0:35Speaker 2: Georgia King. Hello, I'm welcome, and I'd like to know
- 0:39Speaker 2: Ryan what happened in our money Diaries this week on Monday.
- 0:42Speaker 3: So this one's about not conforming and am I actually
- 0:46Speaker 3: really liked am I right in saying that ninety seven
- 0:49Speaker 3: percent of the group their big money goal is buying
- 0:52Speaker 3: a house.
- 0:52Speaker 4: Is that I mean?
- 0:54Speaker 3: Yeah, so we obviously want to get these money dives
- 0:56Speaker 3: to be a little bit different. And even though she's like,
- 0:59Speaker 3: I don't want to have a forever job, I don't
- 1:00Speaker 3: want to forever home, I don't necessarily want to forever partner,
- 1:03Speaker 3: it doesn't mean that she's like just throwing money away.
- 1:05Speaker 3: She's still really keen to invest, but just has very
- 1:07Speaker 3: different goals and value. So pretty interesting to check out.
- 1:10Speaker 2: I really liked it, and I felt like it was
- 1:12Speaker 2: a little bit more relatable to some people in our
- 1:15Speaker 2: community who'd been listening to Money Diaries for a while
- 1:18Speaker 2: and maybe not resonating. I know this because my personal
- 1:21Speaker 2: DMS blew up. We're like, oh my gosh, that was
- 1:23Speaker 2: so cool, Like, you know, what else does she do?
- 1:25Speaker 2: So I've had some fun conversations this week. We also
- 1:29Speaker 2: did a deep dive on the very highly requested topic
- 1:33Speaker 2: ethical investing with Georgia King. G M, what do we cover?
- 1:38Speaker 5: So yeah, as you said, we had a big old
- 1:41Speaker 5: chat about ethical investing and green washing and greenwashing, and
- 1:45Speaker 5: that was kind of the main takeaway from that episode.
- 1:48Speaker 5: It was that ethical investing is not really created equal
- 1:51Speaker 5: across the board, and that we really need to be
- 1:53Speaker 5: careful about green washing and we need to check the
- 1:55Speaker 5: marketing because a lot of people Ryan John's got his.
- 1:58Speaker 4: Hand up what is green washing?
- 2:00Speaker 5: Greenwashing is basically companies brands. We see it in the
- 2:04Speaker 5: supermarket all the time, So brand's basically pretending to be
- 2:08Speaker 5: more ethical than they are by clever marketing, and we
- 2:11Speaker 5: buy into that because we think we're doing the right
- 2:13Speaker 5: thing when really we are not.
- 2:15Speaker 3: So sometimes we think we're doing the right thing, maybe
- 2:17Speaker 3: even paying a little bit extra to do.
- 2:18Speaker 6: That huge in the fashion industry.
- 2:22Speaker 7: Actually, it would be souper interesting to potentially do another
- 2:25Speaker 7: deep dive kind of on marketing as a whole with
- 2:28Speaker 7: green washing.
- 2:29Speaker 6: I know it's a little bit.
- 2:29Speaker 2: Different from what you guys spoke about this week.
- 2:32Speaker 5: I like, yeah, but all yeah, it was really so sneaky.
- 2:35Speaker 5: So sneaky marketing is sneaky. I think I said multiple
- 2:38Speaker 5: times on the episode, like why is the world evil?
- 2:41Speaker 5: So that was kind of takeaway.
- 2:43Speaker 2: I feel like so many people when you see an
- 2:46Speaker 2: investment company you say, oh, it's our green portfolio, it's
- 2:48Speaker 2: our emerald portfolio, or it's our socially responsible portfolio. You
- 2:53Speaker 2: just automatically think, oh, that's their ethical version, right. No, friends,
- 2:57Speaker 2: it is not like the organic sticker on the food
- 2:59Speaker 2: in the supermarket.
- 3:01Speaker 5: There's no regulation.
- 3:02Speaker 2: There's no regulation.
- 3:03Speaker 6: Yeah, just do whatever they want.
- 3:04Speaker 3: Yeah, he's a fact I've been whipping out for ten years.
- 3:07Speaker 3: The word fresh doesn't mean anything. So for supermarket says
- 3:10Speaker 3: it's fresh like legally, it's like yeah, Like it doesn't
- 3:12Speaker 3: actually like.
- 3:13Speaker 7: Free range as well on food, Jocko, so like something
- 3:17Speaker 7: can be free range, but still really like when I
- 3:20Speaker 7: think free range, I'm envisioning like, yeah, running through the
- 3:25Speaker 7: you know, the trees with the wind in there.
- 3:28Speaker 2: But I believe they have feathers. But okay, well it
- 3:32Speaker 2: could be a cow or free range cows, but you
- 3:35Speaker 2: get your cows the class fed meat.
- 3:37Speaker 7: I hear you, girl, g but no, like apparently like
- 3:41Speaker 7: they can be really limited in their square footage and
- 3:44Speaker 7: still techniquely fighters free range, which I thought it was
- 3:46Speaker 7: quite interesting.
- 3:47Speaker 5: We're all being played left, right and center.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Is it weird to give the company Josh's Rainbow Eggs
- 3:53Speaker 2: a shout out here because rainbow eggs, Yes, because I've
- 3:56Speaker 2: done a fair bit of research into eggs in my
- 3:58Speaker 2: time being the crazy person that I am, and Joshua's
- 4:02Speaker 2: Rainbow Eggs are very impressive. But also they're like truly
- 4:07Speaker 2: free range ethical eggs. And I just know this. But
- 4:10Speaker 2: all of their hens have like fresh pasture because they
- 4:13Speaker 2: move their little sheds around so they always have fresh
- 4:16Speaker 2: green grass and like they all have I can't remember
- 4:18Speaker 2: what the space is, but like far more space than
- 4:21Speaker 2: any other chickens. So his chickens are very happy, so cute,
- 4:24Speaker 2: and he's also young and has his own egg company.
- 4:26Speaker 2: What a random anyway, that's my shout out for the week. Oh,
- 4:30Speaker 2: I've got another one later, So maybe we should actually
- 4:32Speaker 2: move on from my segment of random shout outs about eggs. Ryan,
- 4:37Speaker 2: have you got? He was ready?
- 4:42Speaker 4: All right, money winds are the week my favorite ones.
- 4:45Speaker 3: Now. I don't know if it's you that first said this,
- 4:47Speaker 3: stat Victoria, or maybe it was just a meme that
- 4:49Speaker 3: was going the round.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Probably stat scowled Georgia King seen this.
- 4:53Speaker 3: Meme that's been going around that says men who were
- 4:56Speaker 3: confident in their ability at sixty percent?
- 4:59Speaker 4: Yes, that's job? Was that you, guys?
- 5:01Speaker 2: It wasn't It's not like coined by me. It's something
- 5:05Speaker 2: that's actual. I think that's like commedy knowledge.
- 5:06Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Yeah, but women won't go for a job unless they
- 5:09Speaker 2: meet ninety nine percent of the criteria.
- 5:11Speaker 4: Is that and guys will go for sixty percent?
- 5:13Speaker 6: The Holly imposts.
- 5:15Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 5:15Speaker 3: Sarah Party said she read the quote and was like,
- 5:20Speaker 3: all right, if I think I'm sixty percent, I'm going in.
- 5:22Speaker 3: We can now confirm she ticked off sixty percent and
- 5:25Speaker 3: applied got the job. She's ready to learn the other
- 5:27Speaker 3: forty percent and wait for it, an extra twenty thousand
- 5:31Speaker 3: dollars in.
- 5:32Speaker 4: That job I love.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Yeah, can we all take inspiration from that as well?
- 5:36Speaker 2: And you go, you know what, sixty percent.
- 5:38Speaker 6: I'm applying you missed one hundred percent of the shots.
- 5:41Speaker 2: You don't shoot.
- 5:44Speaker 6: Get your head in the game.
- 5:48Speaker 4: Okay, Matilda says Win.
- 5:51Speaker 3: I found the exact Freedom bedroom set I was eyeing
- 5:53Speaker 3: off on their website. It was five hundred dollars cheaper
- 5:56Speaker 3: on Facebook Marketplace. Basically brand new money.
- 6:00Speaker 4: Win.
- 6:00Speaker 6: We love Marketplace.
- 6:01Speaker 4: Yeah, and did we decide on next week?
- 6:03Speaker 2: Yeah, we've decided it's not sponsored. We don't even need
- 6:06Speaker 2: it to be sponsored. We're going to have these sponsor sponsor,
- 6:09Speaker 2: get in touch. You've got heaps of money, give it
- 6:11Speaker 2: to us. No, we've decided Friday Drinks the Facebook Marketplace edition.
- 6:16Speaker 2: We're not sure where we're going with it, so slide
- 6:18Speaker 2: into our DMS with your inspiration. But it's going to happen.
- 6:21Speaker 6: I'm so excited. It's my time.
- 6:23Speaker 4: Shine is Sheridan the linen is that expensive?
- 6:26Speaker 2: Yes, Bougie?
- 6:27Speaker 4: Yeah, so Vicky, now this one is pretty grey.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Name actually Vicky, because I also got a Sheridan order
- 6:33Speaker 2: this week.
- 6:34Speaker 3: Well, Vicky said, money when I purchased some pillowcases with
- 6:38Speaker 3: our girls' names on them, and her girls in brackets
- 6:41Speaker 3: our fur babies.
- 6:42Speaker 4: So basically she bought.
- 6:43Speaker 3: Some some really nice linen for her puppies and got
- 6:46Speaker 3: the puppies names embroidered into the sheets.
- 6:48Speaker 7: That big her dog is because I've got a spare
- 6:50Speaker 7: dog rain jacket to give away.
- 6:54Speaker 6: MS actually asked for that.
- 6:55Speaker 3: Okay, they can have them, so Vicky said. One of
- 6:58Speaker 3: the dog's names is Hassy with the wy. But they
- 7:01Speaker 3: forgot to embroider the wy. So she emailed them and
- 7:04Speaker 3: they got a full refund and got to keep the
- 7:06Speaker 3: linen instead.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Ye still spelled wrong.
- 7:11Speaker 4: Alright, whoa do you think that dogs will?
- 7:17Speaker 6: Dogs can't quality for dogs?
- 7:20Speaker 4: Excuse me, my name's not spelt right. Take it back,
- 7:25Speaker 4: Jazz says, I.
- 7:26Speaker 3: Learned how to peel off my lash extensions without damaging them,
- 7:29Speaker 3: so now I've saved myself twenty five dollars.
- 7:34Speaker 4: That is that terrifying.
- 7:39Speaker 7: Because you're changing your real ones with it, I think
- 7:43Speaker 7: is why you would normally go, do I need to.
- 7:45Speaker 4: Read this again?
- 7:46Speaker 3: I learned how to peel off my lash extensions without
- 7:49Speaker 3: damaging my natural lashes, so I saved twenty five dollars.
- 7:52Speaker 2: No, so I can understand what she's trying to say there,
- 7:55Speaker 2: and that's.
- 7:56Speaker 6: She's not to get them.
- 7:57Speaker 2: Yeah, so you can pay to get them removed, but because.
- 8:00Speaker 7: They get really janky towards the end, you'll be you'll
- 8:02Speaker 7: have like three individual lashes on one eye.
- 8:05Speaker 2: You get them refilled. But like, I don't know how
- 8:08Speaker 2: anyone doesn't look like a bald bandicoot, asked Jess. Jess,
- 8:11Speaker 2: what did I look like when I got my lash
- 8:13Speaker 2: extensions for the first time.
- 8:15Speaker 6: A bold bandic.
- 8:17Speaker 2: It was actually quite funny. I had next to no lashes.
- 8:20Speaker 2: But that's actually my money in later, so Ryan carry on.
- 8:24Speaker 3: So Christina, sorry, I just thought I thought when she
- 8:27Speaker 3: took them off, she was implying that because she did
- 8:29Speaker 3: wrecked them, she put them back on again.
- 8:32Speaker 4: That's what I thought that meant. So I'm glad.
- 8:34Speaker 2: Anybody has ever taken their lash extensions off, saved them,
- 8:37Speaker 2: and put them back on.
- 8:39Speaker 4: We want to hear from you, Christina says.
- 8:41Speaker 3: My hobby found ten dollars lying in the bushes on
- 8:44Speaker 3: the way to work.
- 8:45Speaker 6: On the side of their own money.
- 8:46Speaker 3: We stopped the car ran and grabbed it and then
- 8:49Speaker 3: gave it to me, his beloved wife.
- 8:53Speaker 5: I love you would you guys stop your car and
- 8:55Speaker 5: get out of it to pick up ten dollars off
- 8:57Speaker 5: the side of the road.
- 8:57Speaker 4: Well, we're about to find out, how Richard would you?
- 9:00Speaker 6: I'm too blind. I wouldn't see it drag past Georgia King.
- 9:03Speaker 5: I would if it was like slow and no one
- 9:05Speaker 5: was around, but I think I'd be too embarrassed.
- 9:07Speaker 6: Like in Melbourne, Sey traffic, stop getting out of your car?
- 9:14Speaker 4: Your how much?
- 9:15Speaker 2: Would stop you? If you saw fifty bucks? You would
- 9:20Speaker 2: stop in the middle of the road.
- 9:21Speaker 4: I would definitely. Victoria, I don't know she's rich.
- 9:27Speaker 3: Sylvia says money When I ordered through I pantry and
- 9:31Speaker 3: I ordered one leader of oat milk, but they accidentally
- 9:33Speaker 3: delivered one six pack yes money with one liter bottles
- 9:39Speaker 3: for four dollars.
- 9:41Speaker 2: That is super cheap. That's actually if we compare this
- 9:44Speaker 2: to the person who made homemade oat milk in our
- 9:47Speaker 2: community a couple of weeks ago, it's better deal than
- 9:50Speaker 2: the homemade oat milk.
- 9:51Speaker 5: She's winning.
- 9:52Speaker 2: She's winning, all right.
- 9:53Speaker 3: So they're my favorite money wins from the group this week.
- 9:55Speaker 3: Did anyone else see anything in there that took their fancy?
- 9:58Speaker 5: Oh?
- 9:58Speaker 6: I did?
- 9:58Speaker 2: Actually, I when to ask you a question.
- 10:01Speaker 7: There was a really interesting post about how many bank
- 10:04Speaker 7: accounts do you have?
- 10:05Speaker 2: And I hadn't really.
- 10:07Speaker 7: Thought about it, but as you guys know, I'm a
- 10:08Speaker 7: bit of an upstand and I realized I have fifteen.
- 10:13Speaker 2: What fifteen bank accounts?
- 10:14Speaker 7: Jessica says, so not like separate accounts with different Oh
- 10:18Speaker 7: that's okay, up. You can have the savers and you
- 10:21Speaker 7: can if you don't know, you can allocate money to
- 10:23Speaker 7: different goals, like I have my house deposit and I
- 10:26Speaker 7: break down like my bills and my rents. I kind
- 10:28Speaker 7: of do my budget within my bank.
- 10:30Speaker 6: Account, if that makes sense. But I have fifteen, and
- 10:33Speaker 6: I was like, is that a lot?
- 10:35Speaker 4: That a lot?
- 10:36Speaker 2: It feels like a lot, but it's not actual accounts,
- 10:38Speaker 2: So I feel like that's just a good way of
- 10:39Speaker 2: savings A little bit different.
- 10:41Speaker 6: How many accounts everyone else have? Am I like really overshooting?
- 10:44Speaker 5: You have five times what I have three? But I
- 10:48Speaker 5: don't really get money.
- 10:50Speaker 2: How many do you have?
- 10:53Speaker 6: Would you hate?
- 10:54Speaker 4: One? Two?
- 10:55Speaker 3: Three? I probably six or seven, including some shared ones
- 10:57Speaker 3: with Bridge. Yeah, yes, that's probably less than how many
- 11:01Speaker 3: of you got.
- 11:01Speaker 4: Victorias if we include.
- 11:03Speaker 2: Account business accounts are a lot their business doesn't count
- 11:06Speaker 2: in my banking because that's fair. Yea, I have six.
- 11:10Speaker 4: Six.
- 11:10Speaker 7: I still feel like that's all. Like I was thinking
- 11:12Speaker 7: about that, and I don't know. When I was young,
- 11:14Speaker 7: it was like you have your one account and like
- 11:15Speaker 7: that was it. And I think now with like interest
- 11:17Speaker 7: rates and like things like savers and all those things,
- 11:20Speaker 7: people are using them in a different way now, which
- 11:22Speaker 7: I thought was kind of interesting. There were people i'm
- 11:23Speaker 7: the thread, who had like just as many as me.
- 11:26Speaker 6: Some you had more, but you don't.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Have that bank account. I think that's so different because
- 11:31Speaker 2: if you've got multiple bank accounts with multiple banks and
- 11:34Speaker 2: like you're here, there and everywhere, that's different to Jess
- 11:37Speaker 2: having fifteen savers on up so that she can track
- 11:40Speaker 2: her goals.
- 11:40Speaker 4: Right, yeah, but I.
- 11:41Speaker 7: Feel like that there's no fees on the savers. I
- 11:43Speaker 7: think it's probably like the big.
- 11:44Speaker 2: Yeah, that's our money win. But I also just think
- 11:47Speaker 2: I've got six because that's how I run my budget
- 11:49Speaker 2: and cash flow. And you know, if you've done my course,
- 11:51Speaker 2: you'd be like, I know the six that she has
- 11:53Speaker 2: because I've showed you, guys, Jess, you've done the budget
- 11:56Speaker 2: and Cashulow masterclass.
- 11:57Speaker 7: How have you still got fifteen the other night. What
- 12:00Speaker 7: happens would be like a breakdown. That's probably what.
- 12:03Speaker 2: Are you saving for? People don't want to hear this.
- 12:06Speaker 7: So the top one, the chunky boy, chunky boy, the
- 12:08Speaker 7: house deposit.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Oh did you hear that little flex she called her
- 12:12Speaker 2: house deposit savings.
- 12:16Speaker 7: Then I feel like I kind of have these actually
- 12:17Speaker 7: ordered in like priorities.
- 12:19Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 12:19Speaker 7: So then it's rent, groceries, take out because I consider
- 12:23Speaker 7: that different to groceries, and I allocate ye oh that's good,
- 12:26Speaker 7: that petrol, my cop a bit of flax for this one.
- 12:30Speaker 2: But then I have beauty and clothes. Yeah, sorry, values,
- 12:35Speaker 2: we don't care respect.
- 12:36Speaker 4: If that's what you're spending your money on, you've got
- 12:38Speaker 4: to allocate it.
- 12:39Speaker 7: Yeah, like I budgeted in, like I put the same
- 12:41Speaker 7: amount in every month. Then I've got miscellaneous for just
- 12:43Speaker 7: like random stuff that pops up my emergency fund. Actually
- 12:47Speaker 7: you know what, this isn't in order now that I'm looking,
- 12:50Speaker 7: But it was nice to think emergency fund bills, parking
- 12:55Speaker 7: gifts in parking radio, yeah, because parking is it is expensive.
- 12:59Speaker 7: But every day, no, she drives on pod days today
- 13:03Speaker 7: and then the last couple you really don't care about.
- 13:05Speaker 7: But I mean, I feel like that kind of makes
- 13:07Speaker 7: sense to me because I like, I have it in
- 13:09Speaker 7: my budget, like I have the course, I use the
- 13:12Speaker 7: actual budget template and it's very helpful. Might I say,
- 13:15Speaker 7: but like day to day, I'm not looking at that.
- 13:17Speaker 7: I'm not necessarily accessing it on my computer. So like
- 13:20Speaker 7: having those accounts, it makes it easy for me to
- 13:22Speaker 7: be able to look at it and go okay, like
- 13:24Speaker 7: I have thirty bucks left for the month in my
- 13:26Speaker 7: you know, takeout account, Like am I going to drive
- 13:29Speaker 7: twenty bucks on pizza tonight?
- 13:30Speaker 6: Maybe?
- 13:31Speaker 7: Like, but then I have ten dollars to stretch. It
- 13:32Speaker 7: just makes it easier for me. But then I was like, oh,
- 13:35Speaker 7: am I crazy?
- 13:36Speaker 6: Maybe?
- 13:36Speaker 3: So here's a sentence or question I never thought I'd
- 13:39Speaker 3: ask how big is the chunky boy?
- 13:43Speaker 2: That is for her to know and for you not
- 13:45Speaker 2: to find out.
- 13:45Speaker 6: Yeah, I agree.
- 13:49Speaker 2: We're going to have our own personal money wins and
- 13:50Speaker 2: confessions in just a moment. All right, and we are back.
- 14:02Speaker 2: And obviously you guys have been yearning to hear about
- 14:05Speaker 2: what we are drinking this week.
- 14:07Speaker 7: Jessica arguably the most aesthetic can I've ever picked up.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Not gonna lie. It is very pretty.
- 14:14Speaker 6: It's pink.
- 14:15Speaker 7: It has a cute little characterture on it. Or put
- 14:18Speaker 7: a photo on our Instagram stories. It's called pals hows.
- 14:21Speaker 7: It's really fun. It feels very millennial. But it's vodka, watermelon,
- 14:25Speaker 7: mint and soda.
- 14:26Speaker 2: And this is sponsored. This is actually something that Jess
- 14:29Speaker 2: and I went and picked up earlier at our very
- 14:31Speaker 2: close bottle. Oow, and Jess, what happened at the bottle?
- 14:36Speaker 3: Oow.
- 14:36Speaker 7: If you're a longtime listener, you remember our pale will
- 14:39Speaker 7: from Dan Murphy's Richmond correct Dreamboat.
- 14:42Speaker 4: I hear.
- 14:44Speaker 6: I don't want to tell this story because it's mean.
- 14:46Speaker 6: It is not mean. What's saying he's cut than we
- 14:49Speaker 6: thought he was.
- 14:53Speaker 2: What's changed though?
- 14:54Speaker 6: It has his head. I was like stupid about it,
- 14:56Speaker 6: like I don't remember.
- 14:58Speaker 7: I didn't remember his face when he was said, she
- 15:00Speaker 7: sure remembered him tonight.
- 15:03Speaker 6: But he served us and he was like, hey, like
- 15:04Speaker 6: I remember you guys.
- 15:05Speaker 7: And we left and we both looked at each other
- 15:07Speaker 7: and Victoria goes, was he that good looking last time?
- 15:12Speaker 4: I don't think he was?
- 15:14Speaker 2: He so well we will from Dan Murphy. You have
- 15:19Speaker 2: two fan girls. Kind of creepy can you get rid
- 15:22Speaker 2: of the music? No solid bloke. If he needs a date,
- 15:26Speaker 2: I'm sure we could organize it for him. This is
- 15:28Speaker 2: probably overstepping a massive line.
- 15:30Speaker 3: All right, Well let's leave him alone for a bit, Victoria.
- 15:32Speaker 3: What is your money win or confession for the week?
- 15:35Speaker 1: All right?
- 15:36Speaker 2: That segwayed really nicely. I thought, Ryan, you'd mentioned the
- 15:39Speaker 2: guy in the wine buck. To be honest, we'll get
- 15:43Speaker 2: to that story another time.
- 15:45Speaker 4: Jess.
- 15:46Speaker 2: He was, I mean, you can't not be a big
- 15:48Speaker 2: fan of Jess, can you?
- 15:49Speaker 6: What's not to love?
- 15:50Speaker 2: Exactly?
- 15:51Speaker 4: Saw the picture on this She's on the Money.
- 15:53Speaker 6: Group exactly, the show.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Exactly. All right, So Ryan, you're not going to reson
- 16:00Speaker 2: with this at all, So maybe just like do something
- 16:02Speaker 2: else for the next red lashes.
- 16:08Speaker 6: Also lash related related.
- 16:12Speaker 2: Recently, I had my eyelash extensions removed because I genuinely
- 16:16Speaker 2: just didn't have time to get them done. As often
- 16:18Speaker 2: as I was looked like a bald bandicoot. Ask Jess
- 16:21Speaker 2: and probably everybody else who saw me. My partner actually
- 16:24Speaker 2: mentioned the other day. I was saying, aha, I remember
- 16:26Speaker 2: that time I literally looked like a bald bandicoot and
- 16:29Speaker 2: he was like, oh yeah, I wasn't ever going to
- 16:30Speaker 2: make funny of you then though what.
- 16:35Speaker 4: He was still in the trying to impress you stage.
- 16:36Speaker 2: Yeah, like, I mean we've been together long enough that
- 16:39Speaker 2: he wasn't trying to This was like in.
- 16:40Speaker 7: February while you're going through it, but later.
- 16:45Speaker 2: On we're going to remember this. Anyway, I've been trying
- 16:49Speaker 2: out different mescaras. It has been a very significant period
- 16:52Speaker 2: of time that I haven't used them. So I've come
- 16:54Speaker 2: into some duds ass Jessica like a panda a number
- 16:58Speaker 2: of days at work because we've tried smud ones that flake.
- 17:01Speaker 2: It's been awful. Anyway, this is not sponsored. I have
- 17:05Speaker 2: seen a lot of influencer posts about this brand recently,
- 17:08Speaker 2: though this isn't one of them. I was just influenced
- 17:11Speaker 2: by Instagram and that is the MCO or MC Beauty
- 17:15Speaker 2: extend lash and you just got to woolly. So I
- 17:18Speaker 2: got it fifty percent off, making it ten dollars ten
- 17:20Speaker 2: dollar mascara that is Chef's Kiss.
- 17:23Speaker 4: Is that really because you can pay like infinite money?
- 17:26Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, so some of them, and I bought
- 17:28Speaker 2: a more popular branded one recently. It was like seventy
- 17:31Speaker 2: dollars and I didn't like it. I didn't like it,
- 17:36Speaker 2: and then I tried one that just recommended, But turns
- 17:39Speaker 2: out I bought the wrong one. I bought like a
- 17:41Speaker 2: different like what was it? It's not the same brand
- 17:43Speaker 2: magnetic version, Yeah, like a magnet whatever. Anyway, that one
- 17:47Speaker 2: didn't work for me. But the MC beauty extend Lash
- 17:50Speaker 2: ten dollar rules. It was the other week at Woolworth.
- 17:53Speaker 2: So now I've tried it out, can I recommend even
- 17:56Speaker 2: if you pay full price at twenty bucks? That is
- 17:57Speaker 2: the money win.
- 17:58Speaker 4: My friends, King, what do you got?
- 18:01Speaker 6: Okay?
- 18:02Speaker 3: Wow?
- 18:03Speaker 6: I don't know why I breathed in so heavily there.
- 18:05Speaker 2: So everyone just needed to experience that they did. That's
- 18:09Speaker 2: very in at the moment.
- 18:10Speaker 5: You welcome everyone. Everyone around this table knows that I've
- 18:12Speaker 5: moved house recently, which you know that is a taxing experience,
- 18:18Speaker 5: but money when we've done it all ourselves with the
- 18:20Speaker 5: help of our parents, so it couldn't be happier. Here's
- 18:24Speaker 5: the confession though, guys, no first night in the house
- 18:27Speaker 5: last night?
- 18:29Speaker 2: You do you love it?
- 18:31Speaker 5: Key in the door?
- 18:35Speaker 2: You're going to get it out?
- 18:37Speaker 5: So well, it was stuck in that harp's got it
- 18:39Speaker 5: out somehow, but we had to go around around the
- 18:41Speaker 5: back halves, had to jump. Fortunately the door was unlocked.
- 18:46Speaker 5: It is now always locked though, please don't rob me.
- 18:50Speaker 5: So we like snuck in that way and then I
- 18:52Speaker 5: had to get a cut again and it was an
- 18:53Speaker 5: eight dollar money loss, like inconvenience. I don't know how
- 18:59Speaker 5: it eat it out somehow, but I'm ideal.
- 19:03Speaker 4: Serious snap is that literally the first time?
- 19:06Speaker 2: It was the second.
- 19:07Speaker 6: So we'd like we've been moving. We've been moving over.
- 19:09Speaker 5: The series of a couple of days, a series of
- 19:13Speaker 5: and last night, like it was the big move. We
- 19:15Speaker 5: did all the big stuff, the bed, the fridge, washing machine,
- 19:17Speaker 5: and we'd been it came out, you know, buying storage stuff,
- 19:21Speaker 5: long day, ready to go. I've got my hands full,
- 19:24Speaker 5: so I'm like really tweaking it and then it just snaps.
- 19:30Speaker 2: That's not life loss, honestly, And at that point, I
- 19:33Speaker 2: guarantee you probably a little bit hungry, probably a little
- 19:36Speaker 2: bit frustrated, hungry. That was probably the last thing you needed.
- 19:39Speaker 6: It was, But hey, we're here. We got into the
- 19:41Speaker 6: house in the end and everything's okay.
- 19:44Speaker 2: I'm sorry to hear that, but congrats.
- 19:46Speaker 4: On the move.
- 19:46Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 19:47Speaker 6: I'll have you all over, Jess.
- 19:52Speaker 4: I haven't been we establishment establishments.
- 19:58Speaker 6: I have a really good win.
- 19:59Speaker 7: I've recently buried a pair of shoes from Victoria Drills.
- 20:03Speaker 6: Do you know what those are?
- 20:04Speaker 7: Right?
- 20:05Speaker 2: This throws me under the bus.
- 20:06Speaker 7: At the same time, I don't know what they so
- 20:08Speaker 7: Espa drills are like the little boat shoes with the
- 20:11Speaker 7: Yeah they're on her feet right now.
- 20:12Speaker 3: Actually, those little gooty slippers Chelle whatever they whatever's too
- 20:18Speaker 3: fancy for me.
- 20:18Speaker 6: Just Espa drills, if you know, you know? And I
- 20:22Speaker 6: loved them. They're so cute, they go with everything. They
- 20:23Speaker 6: were so.
- 20:24Speaker 7: Prosper wear for me, by the way, very Yeah, you
- 20:27Speaker 7: wear them a lot, which I think is white and
- 20:28Speaker 7: have done for years because I see you wear them
- 20:30Speaker 7: with different things.
- 20:31Speaker 6: They look really cute, and I borrowed yours. I was like,
- 20:34Speaker 6: I need a pair, and.
- 20:36Speaker 2: I told you you're not getting a pair because they
- 20:38Speaker 2: were a dumb decision from me, weren't they They are Spino.
- 20:42Speaker 7: So I'm sitting here contemplating away how do I fit
- 20:45Speaker 7: this into my budget? And then two days later, who
- 20:48Speaker 7: slides into my DMS with Victoria Divine with a link
- 20:50Speaker 7: to very similar shoes on the outnet By. I think
- 20:54Speaker 7: it was Sam Edelman. And not only were they like
- 20:58Speaker 7: a tenth of the price.
- 20:59Speaker 4: To be in it, so less than a thousand.
- 21:01Speaker 2: Then I feel attacked by your money win.
- 21:05Speaker 7: I think full price they were like one hundred and
- 21:08Speaker 7: forty maybe, but they were sixty percent off on sale,
- 21:12Speaker 7: under one hundred bucks for a nice new pair of
- 21:14Speaker 7: shoes that I really want to chel shoes money We well.
- 21:18Speaker 2: Fine, that is the money, but that shows you how
- 21:23Speaker 2: guilty I felt for influencing her. I was like, oh
- 21:26Speaker 2: my god, she cannot buy the like this was the
- 21:29Speaker 2: worst decision for me as well. Like, so I did
- 21:32Speaker 2: the research, you get your good post.
- 21:34Speaker 6: Probably not a good decision for me right now while
- 21:36Speaker 6: I am saving for a house.
- 21:37Speaker 2: Yeah, true, but I did my research. I looked up
- 21:39Speaker 2: all of the things that I probably should have done
- 21:41Speaker 2: when I was looking for these shoes and made the
- 21:43Speaker 2: bad decision and sent her I think I sent you
- 21:47Speaker 2: three options and said here's three options, but these ones
- 21:50Speaker 2: are my favorite new yors. I agree. Anyway, Would you
- 21:54Speaker 2: like me to find you some shoes online as well? Ryan?
- 21:57Speaker 4: Yeah? Sure, not the Gucci boat into.
- 22:00Speaker 6: Something or something, the Gucci, the furry Gucci side.
- 22:05Speaker 2: Really, yeah, Like, do you like the Gucci?
- 22:08Speaker 6: I thought you were saying, really, I love them.
- 22:10Speaker 4: Could you imagine me wearing.
- 22:14Speaker 2: I think I think genuinely they'd suit you. But you
- 22:17Speaker 2: could get them so they're like they've got fur on.
- 22:23Speaker 4: The laptop when you.
- 22:24Speaker 2: Wear them the first at the back that I don't know,
- 22:29Speaker 2: but you can get one hundred percent fur ones so
- 22:32Speaker 2: you look like.
- 22:33Speaker 6: You're standing on a dead animal.
- 22:36Speaker 2: Around or your mentally on Star Wars.
- 22:38Speaker 6: Either or I hate it.
- 22:39Speaker 4: They just look at the old Crosbies. What slimmers that
- 22:45Speaker 4: look like a dog Grosby.
- 22:52Speaker 3: I had a money in so I bought a couch
- 22:55Speaker 3: off Facebook Marketplace in November.
- 22:57Speaker 2: You should have been saving that for next week's episode.
- 23:00Speaker 2: What are you doing?
- 23:01Speaker 3: Well?
- 23:01Speaker 4: That's why I got the idea from because I was like, oh,
- 23:03Speaker 4: there's a lot of face.
- 23:05Speaker 3: So well, I'm also moving house, so there'll be lots
- 23:07Speaker 3: of winds and losses from Facebook Marketplace.
- 23:09Speaker 4: But this one.
- 23:10Speaker 3: I bought a couch in November. Now I'm selling the
- 23:13Speaker 3: same couch now in April for the exact same price.
- 23:17Speaker 2: That epic money.
- 23:19Speaker 6: She retained her value.
- 23:20Speaker 3: She did quite well, slept on it. Oh no, do
- 23:26Speaker 3: you try it least, Why would I say that they've
- 23:29Speaker 3: already bought it.
- 23:31Speaker 2: By the way, Bridges sitting in the corner of the
- 23:33Speaker 2: studio eating some dinner, having a good time the gym.
- 23:37Speaker 2: Bridge came over to hang out with us to do
- 23:40Speaker 2: the pod while we drinking.
- 23:41Speaker 4: Drive me home.
- 23:42Speaker 2: Yeah, I like that, So I reckon with that. It's
- 23:45Speaker 2: time for Bridge to drive Ryan home. And before that happens,
