- 0:05Speaker 1: Apodjay Production. Welcome to the She Rises Podcast. I'm Ashy
- 0:13Speaker 1: and I'm Tiana.
- 0:14Speaker 2: This podcast is about female empowerment and encouraging you to
- 0:17Speaker 2: be your biggest, boldest, and most authentic version of yourself.
- 0:20Speaker 1: We help you shed the shame, grow to new level.
- 0:23Speaker 1: We're gonna laugh, cry, and talk about the topics everyone
- 0:26Speaker 1: else is too afraid to talk about.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Get ready for your next level of self. Welcome back
- 0:31Speaker 2: to another episode off She Rises Ashly and Tiana. Today's
- 0:34Speaker 2: episode is all about surgeries that we're going to get.
- 0:38Speaker 1: We're both getting surgery.
- 0:39Speaker 3: We are Bob bub Bu in twenty twenty six.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Yes, this is something we kind of haven't really spoken
- 0:45Speaker 2: about on the podcast or have not really debated talking about,
- 0:48Speaker 2: but just.
- 0:49Speaker 1: You know a little bit.
- 0:49Speaker 2: There's obviously a lot of pushback when it comes to
- 0:51Speaker 2: these sorts of things, but we're both super transparent and
- 0:53Speaker 2: want to be transparent about the journeys that we're going
- 0:55Speaker 2: to be going on and we'll probably take you along
- 0:57Speaker 2: for the ride too.
- 0:58Speaker 1: So yeah, and having no shame around the surgeries that
- 1:01Speaker 1: we're getting. But before we get started, we've got to
- 1:03Speaker 1: share the week we stay. What is your share of
- 1:06Speaker 1: the week.
- 1:06Speaker 2: My share of the week is actually just it's almost
- 1:09Speaker 2: like a horoscope thing when they read it to you,
- 1:10Speaker 2: but it's based on the day. So it's from an
- 1:13Speaker 2: account called moon Omens. You show me this account, it's
- 1:15Speaker 2: both favorite account.
- 1:16Speaker 3: I really really like them.
- 1:17Speaker 2: And it says there will come a day where everything
- 1:20Speaker 2: starts to make sense, where all of the details, all
- 1:23Speaker 2: of the delays and the disappointments will no longer feel
- 1:25Speaker 2: like punishment. They'll feel like protection, like the universe was
- 1:29Speaker 2: holding something back until you were truly ready to receive it,
- 1:32Speaker 2: until you were steady enough to hold it with both hands.
- 1:34Speaker 2: And that day will come. But in the meantime, be
- 1:37Speaker 2: proud of the version of yourself who keeps going, who
- 1:39Speaker 2: keeps believing, and who chooses hope even before the evidence arrives.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Wow, I love that so beautiful that it's not really beautiful.
- 1:46Speaker 2: I feel like sometimes we just need a reminder that
- 1:48Speaker 2: we're moving in the right direction. Yes, And I think
- 1:50Speaker 2: we can be so hard on ourselves, so sometimes we
- 1:52Speaker 2: do need little reminders like that.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Social media has the light and dark side. But the
- 1:56Speaker 1: light side of it is sometimes you just see something
- 1:58Speaker 1: or you read something like, for example, last night is
- 2:02Speaker 1: TAJA's bedtime, and of course he's trying to stretch it
- 2:04Speaker 1: out and he wanted to read million books and I
- 2:05Speaker 1: just just wasn't in the mood. To be completely honest,
- 2:07Speaker 1: it sounds awful. And then I was on my phone,
- 2:10Speaker 1: which distraction. But the thing that popped up was like,
- 2:14Speaker 1: don't miss the ten minutes before they go to sleep.
- 2:17Speaker 1: It's not dragging it out, it's connection time. And it
- 2:20Speaker 1: went into this whole thing about that's when like all
- 2:22Speaker 1: their downloads from the day comes up, anything that they're
- 2:25Speaker 1: worried about their slowing down, so that it's their time
- 2:28Speaker 1: to like bring it all forward to you. I was
- 2:30Speaker 1: like wow, to put my phone down, went in the
- 2:32Speaker 1: bed with him. We read books, and then he told
- 2:33Speaker 1: me about his day, and yes, it dragged on his bedtime,
- 2:36Speaker 1: but it was like a full time of connection. So
- 2:38Speaker 1: I just needed to see that in that time. I
- 2:40Speaker 1: love social media for that, because I read my horoscope
- 2:42Speaker 1: or something pops up and I'm like, wow, that was
- 2:44Speaker 1: meant for me.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Yeah, thank you.
- 2:45Speaker 3: Oh I love that. That's a and that just a
- 2:47Speaker 3: quick little perception.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Yeah, perspective shift, so good. What's your show that we mine?
- 2:51Speaker 1: Are nine sentences that will flip a switch in your brain.
- 2:54Speaker 3: We'll bring it on.
- 2:55Speaker 1: What a blessing to be tied in the pursuit of
- 2:57Speaker 1: a challenge of your own choosing. When someone is drowning,
- 3:01Speaker 1: that is not the time to teach them how to swim.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Isn't that so true? Don't give them advice, Just hold
- 3:06Speaker 1: them up and save them. Help them breathe, try to
- 3:08Speaker 1: fix them. No, there, just beat them, hold them up
- 3:10Speaker 1: and help them breathe. There are two pains in life,
- 3:13Speaker 1: the pain of discipline and the pain of regret. Discipline
- 3:16Speaker 1: weighs ounces, Regret weighs tons. So true, you can never
- 3:22Speaker 1: gain cold. Cold is the absence of heat. Maybe hatred
- 3:26Speaker 1: doesn't exist. Maybe it's the absence of love. Well, don't
- 3:31Speaker 1: be scared to start over. You might like your new
- 3:33Speaker 1: story a lot better.
- 3:34Speaker 2: I love that.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Life is funny because one day you're wishing for something
- 3:38Speaker 1: and the next you have it, but you forget you
- 3:40Speaker 1: were once wishing for it, so you just take it
- 3:41Speaker 1: for granted.
- 3:42Speaker 3: Yeah, so easy to do that.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Some things have to be felt to be understood. People
- 3:49Speaker 1: may laugh at me because I'm different. I laugh at
- 3:51Speaker 1: them because they're all the same. You'll never be lonely
- 3:54Speaker 1: if you like the person you're alone with. Oh yeah,
- 3:57Speaker 1: it's not beautiful. Yeah it's on this page. We think
- 4:00Speaker 1: deeply on Instagram and they post the most epic things.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Every time I read it, I'm like, oh, once again,
- 4:05Speaker 1: I just needed to hear that.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Such potent, potent little sentences.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Yeah, that alter your brain.
- 4:10Speaker 3: They've really hit differently, don't they.
- 4:11Speaker 1: They do. So I am getting an upper bluff plasterreeze.
- 4:16Speaker 1: He say it upper bleff's good upper bleff. It's basically
- 4:20Speaker 1: where they take skin from your upper eyelids. When you've
- 4:23Speaker 1: got hooded eyes or as you age, the skin drops
- 4:25Speaker 1: down a lot more. And I've noticed it the last
- 4:28Speaker 1: couple of years progressively getting heavier, especially if I'm really tired.
- 4:32Speaker 1: I've been crying a lot, and just I don't know.
- 4:34Speaker 1: I'm on camera every single day, so I can see
- 4:36Speaker 1: that it's dropping down. And when I'm I've been crying
- 4:39Speaker 1: or from really tired or stress, almost I can see
- 4:41Speaker 1: out of my eyes. So to say I can't see's dramatic,
- 4:44Speaker 1: but it's harder to see. So I'm getting that done.
- 4:47Speaker 1: I'm really excited because ever when I know that's how
- 4:49Speaker 1: it done. Has absolutely loved it. It's made them look
- 4:51Speaker 1: ten years younger, fresher, they can see better, their makeup
- 4:54Speaker 1: goes on better. Like even my eye shadow and concealer
- 4:57Speaker 1: or a foundation of my eyes creases in the line
- 5:01Speaker 1: because there's so much skin there, and in photos you
- 5:04Speaker 1: can see, but Steve can see it before, and when
- 5:06Speaker 1: I zoomed in on a photo, it's like, oh, I
- 5:07Speaker 1: can see it, like I wouldn't notice it before. But
- 5:10Speaker 1: one of my eyes like nearly fully closes when I
- 5:12Speaker 1: smile and the other ones more open. They're very uneven
- 5:14Speaker 1: because the hood is so heavy. So I'm really excited.
- 5:18Speaker 1: I'm not going to be put to sleep for it,
- 5:20Speaker 1: which is a little bit nerve wracking, but I'm literally
- 5:22Speaker 1: in a chair. It's like an hour process. Wow, and
- 5:25Speaker 1: you're up and out. You go.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Yeah, So tell us about just your decision to go
- 5:31Speaker 2: through this surgery, like I'm sure everyone want to know,
- 5:33Speaker 2: like where this decision kind of came from and do
- 5:35Speaker 2: you think this is genuinely something that you've wanted for
- 5:37Speaker 2: yourself for a long time or do you think that
- 5:39Speaker 2: maybe you know, social media or being on camera has
- 5:42Speaker 2: definitely influenced that decision.
- 5:44Speaker 1: It's a good question. I can handle my heart say
- 5:46Speaker 1: this is something I'm doing for me. People make comments
- 5:49Speaker 1: about my face all the time, for sure, and it's
- 5:52Speaker 1: not nice to read it. But I've made the decision
- 5:54Speaker 1: for me. I've been wanting this for quite a few years.
- 5:56Speaker 1: When I first started to notice that, I didn't think
- 5:57Speaker 1: it was that bad and I was just like, oh,
- 5:58Speaker 1: that's interesting, like just noticing your face change. But definitely
- 6:02Speaker 1: the last year I've really noticed it. So it's something
- 6:05Speaker 1: I want to do for me. I think being on
- 6:09Speaker 1: camera doesn't help all the time I'm on camera every
- 6:12Speaker 1: single day, and even in the podcast studio, like it
- 6:14Speaker 1: does highlight your flaws I suppose, and then people making
- 6:17Speaker 1: comments isn't fun. But if I'm being fully truthful that
- 6:20Speaker 1: this is definitely something I want to do and it's
- 6:22Speaker 1: not influenced by anyone else. So I feel really good
- 6:24Speaker 1: about the decision. I'm really excited.
- 6:26Speaker 2: That's so beautiful. It's good to know that it comes
- 6:28Speaker 2: from a good place. Yeah, because it comes from a
- 6:30Speaker 2: place of like, I know that this will give me
- 6:32Speaker 2: a sense of confidence, yeah, you know, and not that
- 6:34Speaker 2: you're not confidence not coming from a I don't have
- 6:36Speaker 2: any confidence, No, why I want to do it. It's
- 6:38Speaker 2: coming from a genuine, like a grounded place.
- 6:40Speaker 1: I can feel fresher and younger and feel more confident
- 6:43Speaker 1: on camera. I'm planning on being on camera for the
- 6:45Speaker 1: next ten, fifteen, twenty years, who knows. So if I
- 6:47Speaker 1: can feel younger and fresher, why would I not want to?
- 6:50Speaker 1: And I know it's different, but it's like, if you
- 6:51Speaker 1: don't like your hair, you change the color. If you
- 6:54Speaker 1: want to makeup on to enhance your eyes, or to
- 6:56Speaker 1: put the bliner on to make your lips will bit bigger,
- 6:58Speaker 1: good for you. If you want to get your nails done,
- 7:00Speaker 1: put a fake ten on, get your boobs someone, whatever
- 7:02Speaker 1: you want to do, like, good for you. I just
- 7:04Speaker 1: think I'm support of everyone doing whatever feels good for them.
- 7:08Speaker 2: You know, I'm genuinely curious. Like obviously these kinds of
- 7:10Speaker 2: conversations do tend to get a bit of pushback. Yeah,
- 7:13Speaker 2: just because people have.
- 7:14Speaker 3: An assumption on what what is wrong or right?
- 7:17Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 7:17Speaker 3: What is wrong?
- 7:17Speaker 2: Right?
- 7:18Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 7:18Speaker 2: Like what you're initiating, what you're promoting? Yes, promoting is
- 7:22Speaker 2: the word that I was looking for. Yes, So I'd
- 7:24Speaker 2: love to know, Like, what's the thought process behind you?
- 7:27Speaker 2: Wanting to like, why have you shared this online? And
- 7:29Speaker 2: what do you think is going to be the pushback
- 7:31Speaker 2: of you promoting plastic surgery? Do you think people are
- 7:33Speaker 2: going to assume that.
- 7:34Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't want to say I'm promoting plastic surgery
- 7:36Speaker 1: because I'm not like, oh my gosh, everyone, here's where
- 7:39Speaker 1: I've gone, hashag exponsored ad. You know you should get
- 7:42Speaker 1: this done. This is my body, my experience. I think
- 7:46Speaker 1: if I didn't speak about it, I would get slammed
- 7:48Speaker 1: for being fake and dishonest. If I talk about it,
- 7:51Speaker 1: I'm going to be slammed for being fake and promoting
- 7:54Speaker 1: plastic surgery. No matter what I decide to do, there's
- 7:57Speaker 1: going to be people that disagree with that, think it's
- 7:59Speaker 1: the wrong thing, goes against what I teach or what
- 8:02Speaker 1: you're going to make up their own assumptions, and I
- 8:04Speaker 1: just have to accept that's just a part of it.
- 8:06Speaker 1: But I think people will notice that my eyes look
- 8:08Speaker 1: a lot presher, so I'm like a mass will just talk.
- 8:10Speaker 2: About it, and it's something you've done for so long,
- 8:13Speaker 2: transparent and authentic to what's going on in your life
- 8:16Speaker 2: over the years as well, So I kind of stop
- 8:18Speaker 2: after fifteen years.
- 8:19Speaker 1: I just don't think it's going to affect me if
- 8:21Speaker 1: people make judgments or comments. I've watched numerous tiktoks YouTube
- 8:25Speaker 1: videos of women getting the surgery. There's not one part
- 8:27Speaker 1: of me. The judges are for getting me done. I'm
- 8:29Speaker 1: just curious and I'm like, oh, cool. And if they
- 8:30Speaker 1: got other things, then I'm like, wow, I did even
- 8:31Speaker 1: know that was a surgery or cool? Like, I don't
- 8:34Speaker 1: really care what people think about me making a decision
- 8:37Speaker 1: that feels right for me. It's got nothing to do
- 8:39Speaker 1: with you. Even the conversation around you know, I've had
- 8:41Speaker 1: women's oh you've had your boobs done and other things done.
- 8:44Speaker 1: What if Tyler grows up saying, oh, momma, I want
- 8:46Speaker 1: that done too, Like you're setting a bad example and
- 8:48Speaker 1: showing her that she needs to change what she looks like.
- 8:51Speaker 1: I kind of disagree. If she came to me and
- 8:53Speaker 1: wanted to get something done, I would talk about it
- 8:56Speaker 1: with her and obviously remind her that she doesn't need
- 8:58Speaker 1: to get anything done, and she's beautiful the way she is,
- 8:59Speaker 1: and I hope I bring her up with that inner confidence.
- 9:02Speaker 1: But if there's something that she really doesn't like and
- 9:05Speaker 1: there's an option to change it. Who am I to
- 9:07Speaker 1: tell her that she doesn't need that or she doesn't
- 9:09Speaker 1: want that. I would be there right by her side
- 9:12Speaker 1: and have the open conversations with her, and hopefully she
- 9:15Speaker 1: sits on it before she makes a decision. But I
- 9:18Speaker 1: don't think anyone has the right to tell anyone that
- 9:20Speaker 1: it's not right to get something changed or done in
- 9:23Speaker 1: their life, because only they know how they feel, you know,
- 9:26Speaker 1: And I haven't spoken about it much, but I have
- 9:28Speaker 1: had my nose done. I got it done when I
- 9:29Speaker 1: was eighteen, and it was scary to talk about online
- 9:32Speaker 1: because once again, people have opinions. But growing up, I
- 9:35Speaker 1: got so teased for having a big nose. All through
- 9:38Speaker 1: primary school, all through high school. It was just constant
- 9:42Speaker 1: rocks thrown at me, tomatoes thrown at me. I'd turn
- 9:44Speaker 1: around in class and everyone would point and laugh at me.
- 9:47Speaker 1: It was so bad. I had no confidence. And my
- 9:50Speaker 1: mum had also grown up being teased. So when I
- 9:52Speaker 1: went to her at sixteen and said, like, I want
- 9:54Speaker 1: to get a nose job because I hate my nose
- 9:56Speaker 1: and I get teased for every single day of my life,
- 9:58Speaker 1: I felt like I couldn't really shine my true personality
- 10:01Speaker 1: because I just wanted to hide, and I knew I
- 10:03Speaker 1: had bigness in me. I knew I wanted to make
- 10:05Speaker 1: impact on knew I wanted to be seen. I knew
- 10:07Speaker 1: I loved attention, I knew all the things, and I
- 10:10Speaker 1: just felt like I couldn't be me. So when I
- 10:13Speaker 1: was eighteen, I worked really hard and saved up and
- 10:16Speaker 1: I got that surgery, and it was hands down the
- 10:18Speaker 1: best thing I ever did for myself. I felt like
- 10:20Speaker 1: I could truly be who I was and people weren't
- 10:23Speaker 1: just looking at me thinking, oh God, she's got a
- 10:25Speaker 1: big nose, because that's what That was my experience, and
- 10:29Speaker 1: I felt so confident. So if Tyler came to me
- 10:32Speaker 1: and had a similar story and a similar experience, I
- 10:34Speaker 1: would do what my mom did and be right by
- 10:35Speaker 1: her side. I would never judge her, I want to
- 10:38Speaker 1: put her down. I wouldn't tell her what is wrong
- 10:40Speaker 1: or right. I would just want to be a safe,
- 10:42Speaker 1: open space where she can express how she feels and
- 10:43Speaker 1: we can figure it out together. So I don't think
- 10:46Speaker 1: that's a bad example, and I don't think my mom's
- 10:48Speaker 1: a bad example for encouraging me to get it done.
- 10:50Speaker 1: She's like, I know how you feel, and it's fucking hard.
- 10:54Speaker 1: You do whatever makes you happy, and if that's going
- 10:56Speaker 1: to make you more confident, be able to open your
- 10:58Speaker 1: wings up and be yourself cool, I'm all for it.
- 11:01Speaker 3: So I don't know.
- 11:02Speaker 1: I just have a different perspective on cosmetic surgery. I
- 11:05Speaker 1: definitely think some women probably get it for the wrong reasons,
- 11:08Speaker 1: and I feel sad for them, and I judge them,
- 11:10Speaker 1: feel sad for them, and I just wish they could
- 11:12Speaker 1: see themselves how others see them, and I hope they
- 11:15Speaker 1: know that. You know, they're beautiful regardless, and people still
- 11:18Speaker 1: want to know their heart. You know, it's not all
- 11:20Speaker 1: about what you look like. But yeah, I think there's
- 11:22Speaker 1: a time and place for it, and just don't think
- 11:24Speaker 1: anyone can tell anyone what to do with their body.
- 11:27Speaker 1: So that's my long winded response.
- 11:29Speaker 3: I love the long winded it's beautiful.
- 11:32Speaker 1: Yeah, I do have a daughter. I've thought about all
- 11:34Speaker 1: of this. I've had conversations with my mum, with you,
- 11:36Speaker 1: with Steve like and yeah, I've been sitting on pondering
- 11:39Speaker 1: with it to get the surgery for the last since
- 11:41Speaker 1: I was thirty two. Fuck, that's a long time actually,
- 11:44Speaker 1: so at least four or five years I've been thinking
- 11:47Speaker 1: about getting the surgery. It's a long time, and now
- 11:49Speaker 1: I really feel ready. I actually wanted to get it
- 11:51Speaker 1: in September, guys, but I'm on blood finners and they
- 11:53Speaker 1: won't let me, so I can't actually get it done
- 11:56Speaker 1: until next year. But yeah, I'm really excited for it,
- 11:59Speaker 1: and it's just, yeah, I pumped.
- 12:00Speaker 2: That's exciting. Yeah, I love to hear it. It's good
- 12:03Speaker 2: to hear your perspective around, Tyler, because it makes sense.
- 12:06Speaker 1: You know.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Obviously, everybody has their opinion, and people can have their
- 12:09Speaker 2: opinion whether they're four or against surgery.
- 12:11Speaker 3: But the reality is like.
- 12:12Speaker 2: Most people for the most part, who are getting it
- 12:15Speaker 2: done are doing it because they want to feel better
- 12:16Speaker 2: about themselves. They want to feel good in themselves, and
- 12:18Speaker 2: everyone's story is different for whatever reason that looks like.
- 12:21Speaker 2: But also, if you're going to do something that's going
- 12:23Speaker 2: to improve the way that you feel about yourself, why
- 12:25Speaker 2: would you not, you know, And I think everything in
- 12:26Speaker 2: moderation as well, like as long as you're not abusing it,
- 12:29Speaker 2: you're not doing it from a place of lack. I
- 12:31Speaker 2: think that's a really important thing. And Yeah, it's a
- 12:33Speaker 2: really important part. And don't get me wrong, like we
- 12:36Speaker 2: all do it, yeah, or do it to some degree.
- 12:38Speaker 2: But if you can make a conscious decision and feel
- 12:40Speaker 2: really really good about it and get behind it, it's
- 12:42Speaker 2: amazing too.
- 12:43Speaker 1: You know what The hard thing about it face is too,
- 12:46Speaker 1: is say, if you're overweight and you want to lose weight,
- 12:49Speaker 1: you can go to the gym and eat healthy. There's
- 12:50Speaker 1: even supplements and injections. There's so many things you can
- 12:54Speaker 1: do to lose weight. If you have a bigger nose
- 12:57Speaker 1: or ears that stick out or hooded eyes, there isn't
- 13:00Speaker 1: much you can do apart from surgery. Like if I
- 13:02Speaker 1: could go to the gym to lose my nose, I
- 13:04Speaker 1: probably would have, you know what I mean? If I
- 13:06Speaker 1: could eat something that helped my eyes lift up and
- 13:09Speaker 1: not have the excess skin, I would. I would love
- 13:12Speaker 1: a more natural approach, but there isn't a lot of
- 13:14Speaker 1: options in that sense. So in different perspective anyway.
- 13:18Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely, what are you getting done?
- 13:20Speaker 3: I am getting my booby's redone.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Yes, I got my breast done when I was fresh eighteen,
- 13:26Speaker 2: so I've had them going on nine years now. And yeah,
- 13:30Speaker 2: there's just been like a couple of things that have
- 13:32Speaker 2: happened over the years, Like I don't know, if you know,
- 13:33Speaker 2: I'm probably gonna butcher this. I don't even know if
- 13:35Speaker 2: this is the right terminology for it, but they've captulated.
- 13:38Speaker 2: So my breast implants are a lot firmer than what
- 13:41Speaker 2: they should be because they've built probably about I like
- 13:44Speaker 2: when got a skin about like a meal of scar
- 13:47Speaker 2: tissue around the implants. And what that does, if you
- 13:49Speaker 2: don't know, it puts pressure on the implant and it
- 13:52Speaker 2: changes the way that they sit on your chest wall,
- 13:55Speaker 2: so it will contract the implant and it will make
- 13:57Speaker 2: them really tight, and it almost gives that I don't
- 14:00Speaker 2: know if you've ever heard this terminology before, but like
- 14:01Speaker 2: Bolton looking boots.
- 14:03Speaker 3: Where they look almost like oranges on it chest.
- 14:05Speaker 2: So I find mine have done that, and it's only
- 14:08Speaker 2: been the.
- 14:08Speaker 3: Last couple of years where I've really noticed that.
- 14:11Speaker 2: But yeah, it's something that I want to change, and
- 14:13Speaker 2: it's kind of something I've parked for a really long time.
- 14:16Speaker 2: I've known that I've wanted to change it for a while,
- 14:19Speaker 2: but it was just never something that I prioritized at
- 14:22Speaker 2: the time. And then also obviously surgery is like quite
- 14:24Speaker 2: pricing now as opposed to what it was when I
- 14:26Speaker 2: first got them done. I think it was I think
- 14:28Speaker 2: if I had double now, I had seven grand for
- 14:30Speaker 2: my implants when I got them done, and I got
- 14:32Speaker 2: them done fresh eighteen, so same thing. I saved up
- 14:35Speaker 2: and I got them. And it was this big thing
- 14:38Speaker 2: that I really really wanted to do because obviously at
- 14:40Speaker 2: the time I felt quite insecure because I had a
- 14:42Speaker 2: small chest, and it was quite normalized in my family
- 14:45Speaker 2: as well, like all of my sisters, my mom, everyone,
- 14:47Speaker 2: everyone had implants. So all of these women around me
- 14:50Speaker 2: were really beautiful, like vlumptuous women, and I had like
- 14:53Speaker 2: beautiful feminine bodies and that was I guess, my image
- 14:56Speaker 2: and my depiction of women, you know. And I was
- 14:58Speaker 2: like the only one he didn't have it, and I
- 15:00Speaker 2: was like, oh, I would love to feel that way.
- 15:02Speaker 2: And I remember getting them and it was the best
- 15:04Speaker 2: thing that I did beca I just remember thinking like, oh,
- 15:06Speaker 2: I feel like a woman. Like it was like, it's crazy,
- 15:09Speaker 2: the feeling. It was like an initiation from a little
- 15:11Speaker 2: girl to woman. And I just really came into like
- 15:14Speaker 2: my sexuality, my womanhood, and like it felt so empowered
- 15:17Speaker 2: in myself at that time when I got them, so
- 15:19Speaker 2: that was really beautiful. But yeah, I want to get
- 15:22Speaker 2: them done because obviously they're quite firm. And also I
- 15:25Speaker 2: think over the years since having done personal development, I
- 15:28Speaker 2: have had some things come up for me around the
- 15:30Speaker 2: size that I got because I did go quite big
- 15:32Speaker 2: quite young. But that was kind of the advice that
- 15:35Speaker 2: I had gotten, and that's also what I wanted at
- 15:37Speaker 2: the time, like I was in a different place, wanted
- 15:40Speaker 2: them for a different reason me too, life.
- 15:42Speaker 3: To the attention.
- 15:43Speaker 2: To be honest, I was like, oh, you know this
- 15:44Speaker 2: is that that was where I was at in my time,
- 15:47Speaker 2: whereas now I feel a little bit different and I
- 15:50Speaker 2: have for the last couple of years wanted to go smaller.
- 15:53Speaker 2: And it is a conversation that I had with my
- 15:55Speaker 2: surgeon about being like, hey, like I want to go smaller,
- 15:57Speaker 2: implants like what do you recommend, and in order to
- 16:00Speaker 2: not have to get a lift, he said that I
- 16:02Speaker 2: can only go so much smaller, you know, So he said,
- 16:05Speaker 2: anywhere up to like one hundred meals less than what
- 16:07Speaker 2: I've got now I can do without having a lift.
- 16:10Speaker 2: Otherwise it's a much bigger surgery. The recovery is like
- 16:13Speaker 2: to double, it's more expensive all the things. So he's like,
- 16:15Speaker 2: if we can prevent you having to get a lift,
- 16:17Speaker 2: I would prefer that because I don't think that you
- 16:19Speaker 2: need that, and you haven't had kids yet either, and
- 16:21Speaker 2: I haven't had kids yet. Yeah, that's right. And so
- 16:24Speaker 2: the conversation that I had with him around it was,
- 16:26Speaker 2: you know, I want to grow smaller. I want to
- 16:28Speaker 2: remove the implants, replace them obviously, cut out the capsulation,
- 16:31Speaker 2: which is a scar tissue, and then replace the implants
- 16:33Speaker 2: so they look a bit more softer, more feminine, and
- 16:36Speaker 2: you know, just small full is what I'm wanting. Yeah,
- 16:39Speaker 2: and yeah, so I will be going a little bit smaller,
- 16:42Speaker 2: not too much though, but with going a little bit smaller,
- 16:46Speaker 2: removing the capsulation, having fresh implants, they going to look smaller.
- 16:50Speaker 2: So he tells me, he honestly said to me, it's
- 16:52Speaker 2: like I won't be able to do anything smaller than
- 16:53Speaker 2: one hundred meals less. And probably if you do that,
- 16:56Speaker 2: he said, you probably won't like it.
- 16:58Speaker 3: So I found that really interesting.
- 16:59Speaker 1: Because he said, the last like twenty years, he's never
- 17:02Speaker 1: done smaller than the sea cup.
- 17:03Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, typical golg Yeah, totally.
- 17:06Speaker 1: The same, I got big when I was younger.
- 17:08Speaker 2: And also something that he was explaining to me which
- 17:10Speaker 2: I didn't know about implants was that there are different
- 17:13Speaker 2: projection heights that implants can go. So he explained it
- 17:16Speaker 2: like a story on a building. So there's like one story,
- 17:19Speaker 2: two stories, three stories low, moderate, and high. Yes, all
- 17:21Speaker 2: different implants can either be like one story high, two
- 17:24Speaker 2: stories high, or three stories high. And he's like, your
- 17:26Speaker 2: implants are like three stories high. He's like, yours project
- 17:29Speaker 2: the furthest out, whereas a lot of implants that he has,
- 17:33Speaker 2: they are wider and then maybe only two stories.
- 17:36Speaker 1: That's me because we were carrying sizes. Hey, And I
- 17:38Speaker 1: was like, why dim I not look as because yours
- 17:39Speaker 1: but might a more wider but softer and yes not droopy,
- 17:43Speaker 1: but good wie.
- 17:43Speaker 2: No yours are Yours are wider and they don't protrude it,
- 17:46Speaker 2: don't project out, whereas mine are smaller in width, but
- 17:49Speaker 2: they protrude further and they're like they.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Look good to explain it bigger.
- 17:52Speaker 2: And I found that really fascinating because I always wondered,
- 17:55Speaker 2: like why my boobs, in comparison to a couple of
- 17:57Speaker 2: friends of mine, looked so much bigger, and I was like,
- 18:00Speaker 2: what on earth has happened here?
- 18:01Speaker 1: And also when they're captulated, he said, they look a
- 18:04Speaker 1: lot larger because they're under stress and it makes them rise.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Because you showed me a photo when you've got them done,
- 18:09Speaker 1: just when you were younger. Yes, they are completely completely different.
- 18:13Speaker 1: You don't look like you've got implants, and they look
- 18:16Speaker 1: like I have a natural double D literally, and that's
- 18:18Speaker 1: how when I loved.
- 18:19Speaker 3: My implants, I was like, oh my god, I love them.
- 18:20Speaker 2: It looks so beautiful and so feminine. Now I don't
- 18:23Speaker 2: feel and they were soft.
- 18:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 18:26Speaker 2: So yeah, and if I've had like a friend of
- 18:28Speaker 2: mine who's a urse to be like, you need to
- 18:30Speaker 2: go get that sorted because obviously captulation isn't good long term. Yeah,
- 18:33Speaker 2: you need to sort that out because obviously the body
- 18:35Speaker 2: is fighting it.
- 18:36Speaker 3: So that's kind of what I'm doing.
- 18:38Speaker 1: So yeah, we're both booked in next year. Can give
- 18:40Speaker 1: dates or anything, just how we go.
- 18:43Speaker 2: But I'm excited because where I'm at now, with how
- 18:46Speaker 2: they feel and how firm they are and how much
- 18:48Speaker 2: they've changed in terms of how they look, it makes
- 18:51Speaker 2: me feel insecure, Like it does make me feel less
- 18:54Speaker 2: feminine because it makes me feel a bit bigger. It
- 18:56Speaker 2: makes me feel a bit like they don't look as
- 18:58Speaker 2: feminine when they sit on my chest wall anymore. So
- 19:00Speaker 2: I am looking forward to seeing the change of the
- 19:03Speaker 2: new surgery, how they will sit, how they will be positioned,
- 19:07Speaker 2: feeling a little bit more feminine. Even going that little
- 19:09Speaker 2: bit smaller, I'm really excited for. And I feel like
- 19:13Speaker 2: maybe even in the future, I'll probably even go a
- 19:14Speaker 2: little bit smaller. Yeah, you know, so we'll see.
- 19:18Speaker 3: We'll see how we goes.
- 19:18Speaker 1: It's exciting, excited. Yeah, and I feel just good at
- 19:21Speaker 1: even having that capsulation out.
- 19:22Speaker 3: Oh, I'm so excited for that.
- 19:23Speaker 2: I can't tell you how frustrating that has been.
- 19:26Speaker 1: Yeah, even a lot of dresses you put on, you're like,
- 19:28Speaker 1: I just don't like my chest in this. Yeah, I
- 19:30Speaker 1: just don't like the way they sit. I don't like
- 19:31Speaker 1: that they're protruding out. It's gonna be so nice for
- 19:33Speaker 1: you to have implants that you feel really good in.
- 19:36Speaker 2: I can't even lay on my chest like it puts, yeah,
- 19:38Speaker 2: because they already have so much pressure. I feel nervous
- 19:41Speaker 2: to lay on my chest because it's already so tight
- 19:44Speaker 2: and constricted because of the capsulation.
- 19:46Speaker 3: So I'm excited to just like not have to worry
- 19:49Speaker 3: about this.
- 19:49Speaker 1: It's so good and be her little nurse. And she's
- 19:51Speaker 1: gonna be my little nurse.
- 19:52Speaker 3: Yes.
- 19:54Speaker 1: Oh so yeah, that's our surgery update.
- 19:56Speaker 2: We just wanted to share about what's going on and
- 19:58Speaker 2: what's real for us in our life because I know
- 20:00Speaker 2: you guys love that.
- 20:00Speaker 3: But yeah, just being open and honest about what's happening
- 20:04Speaker 3: in our lives.
- 20:04Speaker 2: Yeah, if you have any questions or if you're going
- 20:06Speaker 2: through anything like this, you can drop it in the
- 20:07Speaker 2: best of your advice as well, and we'd love to
- 20:09Speaker 2: hear about it.
- 20:10Speaker 1: Anyone's been through either of these surgeries, like is it
- 20:12Speaker 1: a reconstruction? Is that what you're getting? Yes, reconstruction surgery
- 20:15Speaker 1: and the upper bluff. I'd love to hear from you vision.
- 20:17Speaker 1: I think revision maybe, sure, there's a special word for you. Yeah,
- 20:21Speaker 1: you got any questions for us, or you've gone through
- 20:23Speaker 1: these surgeries, we would love to hear from you, because
- 20:25Speaker 1: a little bit nervous but excited as well.
- 20:27Speaker 2: Yeah, or if you have any stories around you wanted
- 20:29Speaker 2: to get anything done or anything like that, just.
- 20:31Speaker 3: Bringing in I'd love to hear from it.
- 20:32Speaker 1: Thanks guys. We'll see the next episode.
- 20:34Speaker 3: Bye bye.
