- 0:16celebrities, CEOs and even royalty, Adam Cox.
- 0:20These recordings took place live from Evans Clinic in London's
- 0:24world famous Harley Street, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:31enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:39Hi, it's Adam here. And you're about to listen to a
- 0:41hypnosis session all about post COVID fatigue.
- 0:45And I was working with a client that had about two years ago,
- 0:48experienced very severe fatigue. And the symptoms were getting
- 0:53worse. And it was leading to things
- 0:54like extreme tiredness, high levels of sensitivity,
- 0:58electrosensitivity, and just feeling that they couldn't
- 1:02really do what they used to do. They used to be very active,
- 1:05very successful in their career. And all of those things became
- 1:08very difficult to manage as a result of these very intense
- 1:12feelings of fatigue. This hypnosis session is
- 1:15designed to do 2 things. One is to give hope.
- 1:20There are many people that have had high levels of chronic
- 1:23fatigue and they get better and their symptoms alleviate and
- 1:27they feel better. So one is to have that because
- 1:30when there is hope there, it tends to create more resourceful
- 1:34feelings and then you're more likely to look for signs of
- 1:37progress and it can create a self fulfilling prophecy.
- 1:40When things seem hopeless then there is and also a self
- 1:44fulfilling prophecy of that where more of the symptoms tend
- 1:47to get worse. So hope is a very important
- 1:50thing. The second thing is to have
- 1:52certain metaphors that look at the crashes and the fatigue as
- 1:57recalibration rather than something negative happening to
- 2:01them. Recalibration is important
- 2:04because a lot of fatigue and autoimmune issues are based on
- 2:08an overreaction of the body. Small things like spending time
- 2:13with friends or exercise can lead to really long periods of
- 2:18recovery and the body is overreacting.
- 2:21It's disproportionate. So this has the key new meaning
- 2:25that these periods of fatigue are actually a body trying to
- 2:29recalibrate because it's got faulty signals.
- 2:34So this metaphor I think is going to be useful for anyone
- 2:37with autoimmune issues or fatigue or chronic fatigue or
- 2:41other conditions that are like that because it has a key
- 2:46suggestion of updating certain key things.
- 2:49Now, this client was also considering other stuff like
- 2:52ketamine infusion therapy. And that's why there's a
- 2:55metaphor in the early part of this, that if their future is on
- 2:59the other end of a stream, on the other side of a stream,
- 3:02there are multiple ways to get to that future that they want.
- 3:06The bridge, the stepping stones, other ways become ways of
- 3:10saying, right, not all of the eggs are in one basket.
- 3:13Sometimes people feel like they've only got 1 hope and then
- 3:17it becomes devastating if that one thing doesn't work.
- 3:20So it's really important to believe that there are multiple
- 3:22solutions, multiple ways of improving and healing, and
- 3:26you're not relying on just one things.
- 3:29There's a lot going on in this session, but if you can relate
- 3:32to the idea of feeling like intense fatigue, and personally,
- 3:36I had a close call. I was bitten by a tick many
- 3:38years ago and luckily I saw the signs of early Lyme disease and
- 3:45luckily I managed to resolve that.
- 3:47So we didn't turn into Lyme disease.
- 3:48But when people have things like Lyme disease and and chronic
- 3:51fatigue, it's so debilitating and they don't get a lot of
- 3:54understanding from other people because other people just assume
- 3:58that it's people are making it up and it's just tiredness and
- 4:02there's a lot of frustration that can come from that.
- 4:04So if you can write to these things, this hypnosis session
- 4:06might be useful. Please be aware though, that it
- 4:09was created for an individual with individual circumstances
- 4:12and individual symptoms. Some of the suggestions might
- 4:15not be quite right for you. So if you do like the idea of a
- 4:18bespoke session, there will be a link in the description where
- 4:21you can schedule a free consultation call to explore
- 4:24working with me. For now though, find a quiet,
- 4:26comfortable place where you won't be disturbed.
- 4:29Relax and enjoy the session. Take a deep breath in and as you
- 4:56breathe in, imagine breathing in a feeling of quietness and calm.
- 5:06The kind of calm that can take a wave of excitement and turn it
- 5:13to Stillwater kind of relaxation that can dial everything down.
- 5:25Breathing in and relaxation and exhaling tension.
- 5:35And I wonder if you can think that if resourcefulness had a
- 5:40colour, what color it would be. Just allow any thought to enter
- 5:47your mind. And as you breathe in, just
- 5:51imagine breathing in a fusion of resourcefulness and relaxation
- 5:59going in through your nose, allowing it to go down your
- 6:04windpipe into your lungs. Just feel your mouth relaxing,
- 6:12your neck relaxing, your chest relaxing.
- 6:17Imagine your heart harnessing all of that resourceful
- 6:22relaxation and distributing it to every cell in your body, just
- 6:28as it does with oxygen. And I want you to scan your body
- 6:36not just for tension, but any aches, any feelings of blocks,
- 6:46any tiredness. And just imagine an army of
- 6:54trillions of molecules, particles of this resourceful
- 6:59relaxation finding its way to the parts of your body that
- 7:05would benefit from those resources.
- 7:10And I wonder if you could imagine everything calming down.
- 7:20Just imagine hyper vigilance gets recalibrated to just
- 7:29vigilance, that energy levels get recalibrated just to
- 7:41normality. And I want you to think of a
- 7:46place that when you were last in that place, you felt
- 7:53resourceful, relaxed, with just the right amount of energy and
- 7:59clarity. Maybe you could imagine a beach
- 8:06there by the Mediterranean Sea, but imagine you've got the whole
- 8:12beach to yourself. Golden soft sand, rock
- 8:19formations and cliffs and natural pools with the right
- 8:28balance to teem with life. Shellfish, crabs, tiny fish.
- 8:38And I want you to imagine what it would feel like to be back on
- 8:42that beach, feeling calibrated to what feels useful and
- 8:54healthy. If you wanted to go for a swim,
- 9:00you can. If you wanted to run down the
- 9:03beach, you can. I want you to connect without
- 9:09memory, not to reminisce, but treat it like feeding
- 9:19information to the part of your brain to establish a baseline.
- 9:31Because if something happened maybe two years ago, it started
- 9:39giving you false readings and your body would act in a way
- 9:47according with that faulty data. So as you reconnect with that
- 9:54memory, I want you to imagine this is giving your body a new
- 10:03baseline. This is 1.
- 10:09It can feel like to have the right amount of vigilance, that
- 10:17if you injured yourself, you might need to rest.
- 10:22If you ran a marathon, you might need a few days to recover.
- 10:27But on a beach, relaxing by the water, this is not over
- 10:34stimulating or under stimulating, It's just
- 10:40stimulation. And I want you to imagine
- 10:45somewhere on that beach, it's the comfiest chair you can
- 10:51imagine with cushions and pillows and blankets.
- 10:58And I want you to imagine it's there on that beach, maybe under
- 11:02sunshine, maybe in the shade of a tree, and just imagine placing
- 11:07your body there. As I count downwards from 5:00
- 11:12to 1:00, I want you to imagine how it would feel to just drift
- 11:20off into a dreamlike sleep there on that beach, in that memory,
- 11:29at that time by time when your body was calibrated just right.
- 11:40That's it. Notice your breathing gets
- 11:45deeper, and the deeper you breathe, the more relaxed you
- 11:48become, still breathing in that colour of resourceful
- 11:53relaxation. That's it.
- 12:04And as you settle, really settle, with your eyes closed,
- 12:11just focus on the rise and fall of your breath, a quiet rhythmic
- 12:22proof that you are not sick, but healing.
- 12:32Each breath a wave of calm washing through your body in
- 12:38renewal and out release. Some people believe that the
- 12:49body has a frequency, a sound, a rhythm.
- 12:57Your heartbeat has a rhythm, breathing has a rhythm, the flow
- 13:04of blood through your veins has a rhythm.
- 13:08And you can consider that rhythm like subtle music within your
- 13:13body. And as you connect with that
- 13:18sound, rhythm and feeling, I want you to get a sound that's
- 13:24simply connecting with these sounds, these sensations you're
- 13:30already healing. And if there's a part of you
- 13:38that has been fighting this fatigue, this unfairness, I want
- 13:44you to imagine what it would feel like to be fighting an
- 13:48unfair opponent that plays dirty, breaks the rules, cheats,
- 13:58and just imagine. But even with a good team on
- 14:02your side, I can feel unfair. But what if this whole thing
- 14:10isn't a fight? What if it's a negotiation, a
- 14:17dance of communication? But rather than fighting this,
- 14:25the goal is to listen, communicate, and find.
- 14:34Find a way forward that's good for you and good for this part
- 14:39that probably has a wonderful intention.
- 14:42A wonderful intention that felt like an unfair fight.
- 14:50But what if you could both agree that the intention is good, even
- 14:57if the implementation of that intention is unfair and cruel?
- 15:06But if that part doesn't know that it will continue trying to
- 15:11help you even though it feels like harm.
- 15:20We need to imagine drifting into a dreamlike sleep there on that
- 15:25comfy chair on that beach. And in that dream, imagine
- 15:31standing at the entrance of a beautiful garden, a gentle
- 15:37breeze and maybe the light of sunshine going through, bouncing
- 15:45off flower petals and leaves. And I wonder if you could
- 15:52imagine that this garden represents your body.
- 16:02I want you to imagine a time when this garden was in such a
- 16:08way that everything seemed in harmony and balance.
- 16:14But now as you look at the garden, the garden is still
- 16:18beautiful, but certain things are out of control.
- 16:26Maybe that's certain. Plants that have got too big or
- 16:31grass that hasn't been tended. I want you to imagine walking
- 16:37barefoot in this garden, getting a sense of the ground beneath
- 16:44your feet. Solid, dependable.
- 16:52It's almost like you can feel the roots of yourself reaching
- 16:56downward into the calm earth and imagine it drawing in safety and
- 17:05strength. And your mind, like sunlight,
- 17:10warms every cell, every muscle, every nerve, reminding them how
- 17:22to grow and how to remember the balance of the past.
- 17:32And as you walk deeper into this garden, feel like it's a healing
- 17:37garden, the sounds, the smells, the sensations, all of it
- 17:49helping you to heal, recalibrate and rebalance.
- 17:56And I want you to imagine there is a stream somewhere in that
- 18:00garden with stepping stones. Very soon I will count downwards
- 18:09from 12:50 and you will imagine taking a step on each of the
- 18:13stepping stones to help cross that stream and allow the other
- 18:23side of the stream to represent a new relationship with your
- 18:29body. Not based on conflict, not
- 18:34needing hyper vigilance, but a harmonious relationship, a
- 18:42negotiation, a dance, an ally. Taking that first step, 10
- 18:53Feeling the outside world fading away 9 Muscle softening 8
- 19:01Another step across mind quiet like Stillwater.
- 19:08Seven, thoughts slowing into clarity and six, each step a
- 19:16reminder of your resilience. Five, halfway across, now
- 19:23feeling lighter and freer. And four, I want you to feel
- 19:30that resourceful feeling, maybe in your chest, starting to glow,
- 19:35spreading from within. 3A sense of safety and growing stronger.
- 19:44Two calm, balanced, centred and one just Imagine being deeply
- 19:52connected to your inner wisdom. Now and then.
- 20:00Zero. You're on the other side.
- 20:04And I want you to see that you didn't need to cross the
- 20:09stepping stones, because all along there was a wooden bridge
- 20:13arching over the stream, the water flowing gently.
- 20:21And you realise the stream represents a healing journey,
- 20:29but also that there are many solutions to the same problem.
- 20:35Stepping stones or a bridge still get you to the other side.
- 20:43And I want you to think that your future is the other side,
- 20:50and there's many things that may help, and it doesn't matter so
- 20:56long as you get to the other side.
- 21:03And as you look at that stream, I want you to see that even when
- 21:08the surface looks still, the current beneath continues to
- 21:14flow you or on a journey of recovery and recalibration.
- 21:26And you are continuing to flow in that direction.
- 21:35And now, deep within this tranquil space, your
- 21:40subconscious mind begins to remember what your conscious
- 21:45mind sometimes forgets. But your body knows how to heal.
- 21:55You might recall the time when you bruised a knee, cut a
- 22:00finger, and your body knew how to heal.
- 22:07Because every cell in your body carries ancient intelligence.
- 22:13Coded wisdom once helped you grow, repair, and adapt.
- 22:20And I want you to feel that when that fight becomes a
- 22:24negotiation, a recalibration, that all of that intelligence
- 22:35within you is now helping, helping that recalibration take
- 22:43place. And you might imagine your
- 22:47nervous system as a network of thin golden threads carrying
- 22:55signals of safety through your body like fibre optic cable.
- 23:03And imagine that each deep breath strengthens the signal,
- 23:10each exhale clears old static. And what if your body is
- 23:16learning a new language, the language of alignment, ease and
- 23:24recalibration? I want you to get a sense then
- 23:34your past is evidence of your ability to learn and adapt.
- 23:44I want you to feel that you are learning at a subconscious level
- 23:51to balance your energy. Again, not through force, but
- 23:56through flow. You don't need to push the river
- 24:02or the stream, you only need to stop resisting it.
- 24:09Your mind and body are learning to trust one another again.
- 24:20Sometimes when it feels like there's a challenge, your mind
- 24:27will say I'm handling this and your body feels reassured and
- 24:37that hyper vigilance goes down. That is harmony.
- 24:46That's when it's a negotiation, A partnership, a dance.
- 24:52And I want you to imagine returning to that garden, that
- 25:04space for certain areas where already flourishing and others
- 25:10were overgrown. And the beauty of nature is that
- 25:17growth never happens all at once.
- 25:23Different plants grow at different times of the year when
- 25:28they're meant to. Seeds grow in darkness before
- 25:35they break the surface. And what if you're healing is
- 25:40sometimes invisible? It feels like nothing's
- 25:45happening. And then one day, without
- 25:48effort, you notice a small clue of progress.
- 25:56Perhaps you recover faster from anything that required exertion,
- 26:04perhaps period of fatigue, and sooner.
- 26:10And perhaps your mind feels clearer on a day you didn't
- 26:13expect. And each time that happens,
- 26:20imagine smiling to yourself and thinking progress, healing,
- 26:27recalibration. Because these small, unexpected
- 26:32moments are your body's way of saying I'm still with you.
- 26:41I'm your ally, not your enemy. And your subconscious will begin
- 26:47to notice these incremental clues.
- 26:53Each one becomes proof that your body is indeed recalibrating,
- 27:00that your nervous system is learning a new kind of safety.
- 27:10And I want you to think that your willingness to be
- 27:14tenacious, to try new things, is also evidence of your spirit.
- 27:23And I want you to think about some upcoming therapy, something
- 27:28new, something you've seen results in other people.
- 27:34You need to get a feeling that your subconscious mind is
- 27:36already preparing the ground, almost like it knows how to
- 27:42receive this experience. Maybe this is the catalyst for
- 27:48that recalibration, a bridge between mind and body, a chance
- 27:56to reset old circuits, to refresh connections, to open
- 28:04windows of possibility. And I want you to imagine what
- 28:10it would feel like then. That is your hope, intention, or
- 28:18even an outcome You're just open to that something will happen to
- 28:29facilitate recalibration. I want you to get a sand.
- 28:37Then if it's been foggy for several days, it can feel like
- 28:42it will be foggy forever. And then one day the sun comes
- 28:47out and it was like the fog was never there.
- 28:54I want you to get a feeling. Then what if, maybe even sooner
- 29:00than you think, there are clues about fear, fatigue, brain fog,
- 29:11or anything else just fading away, giving you clarity and
- 29:20energy once more. I want you to think of an
- 29:25infusion. What if your mind travels safely
- 29:30through inner landscapes, guided by that intention of
- 29:34recalibration, and your body will remain protected, anchored
- 29:40and calm, allowing your subconscious to gather
- 29:46everything it needs from the experience.
- 29:50And maybe that's wisdom, healing, or even a release
- 29:57integrated easily afterwards. This could be the catalyst, your
- 30:05healing bridge, your stepping stones.
- 30:10Each session, each breath, each rest, helping you cross towards
- 30:17that future of greater vitality and peace.
- 30:28I want you to recall how frequently in the past you've
- 30:32been able to adapt, learning new things in a martial art,
- 30:40handling problems, and all those resources are still within you,
- 30:49waiting for the right time to resurface.
- 30:54Your resourcefulness is returning like a sleeping muscle
- 30:59waking up, stretching and remembering its strength.
- 31:06And every now and then you will discover signs that you're
- 31:12handling this much better. Moments when your mind is
- 31:17clearer, your emotions steadier, and your energy more
- 31:23sustainable. And sometimes you'll notice it
- 31:29consciously and other times it will appear subtly.
- 31:38But each time you notice progress, however small, it
- 31:45reinforces your belief that you are healing and recalibrating.
- 31:52Your system is unlocking more internal resources, enabling you
- 31:58to meet each new challenge with more confidence, certainty and
- 32:05self trust. Your body is adapting, your
- 32:11brain is learning, and even your heart, Your soul is connected to
- 32:20that future where hope becomes reality.
- 32:24And I want you to think about those crashes differently now.
- 32:34Not as unfair fighting, not as failures, and not even as
- 32:39setbacks. What if this is your body's
- 32:43ability and desire to recalibrate, but it's
- 32:48recalibrating with faulty data? You could almost admire the
- 32:57positive intention, even if there's frustration from an
- 33:03overreaction. When a sensor is too sensitive,
- 33:10it can follow its programming, but it creates A
- 33:16disproportionate response. I want you to get a feeling,
- 33:22then your body, your body needs to tap into a way of calibrating
- 33:33accurately. I want you to get a feeling then
- 33:42your subconscious mind can start connecting the neural pathways
- 33:48of your past to the needs of your present.
- 33:56I want you to find yourself in those moments of fatigue during
- 34:01those crashes, to look at them as recalibrations.
- 34:07And the more you think of yourself in the past times when
- 34:14you're in harmony and balance, you are firing off the very
- 34:19neural pathways that your body needs to recalibrate.
- 34:27Just like artificial intelligence needs data to
- 34:29learn, your body is firing on inaccurate data and therefore
- 34:38memories can retrain it. Coach it, help it to find
- 34:46harmony and balance once more. And maybe start to notice that
- 34:54when these recalibrations happen, your recovery will be
- 34:59faster and smoother because your system is learning efficiency.
- 35:08And by thinking of it as a recalibration rather than a
- 35:12crash, you will feel less fear, less frustration, and more
- 35:18understanding and more peace. You can acknowledge the
- 35:23intention even if the outcome isn't desirable.
- 35:32And with that peace, your energy stabilizes even more.
- 35:41You're no longer at war with your body, you're in alliance
- 35:46with it. Every part of you wants the same
- 35:50thing. The future of health, happiness,
- 35:59of harmony and balance. Again, I want you to imagine
- 36:06finding a full length mirror in that garden, and as you look in,
- 36:14I want you to see yourself perhaps a year from now.
- 36:23And as you see the reflection of you in the future, you can see
- 36:27clues of immense progress. Maybe you could imagine that
- 36:35future version of you understood that something happening in your
- 36:43present is a turning point for your future.
- 36:50And maybe in that future you see yourself waking with more
- 36:52clarity and steadiness. Your days have more rhythm
- 36:57again, more energy, a calm confidence guiding your choices.
- 37:04You move with more flexibility, options and optionality.
- 37:10You get to do more of what you want to and those social
- 37:14moments, your current Oasis in the desert don't need to be
- 37:21restricted. They can last longer and they
- 37:26don't have that energy hangover afterwards.
- 37:32Your mind feels sharper, your heart feels lighter, and there
- 37:37is more trust. You trust your body, and your
- 37:41body trusts you. And even if you have those
- 37:48quieter days or tired days, you have a sense that they won't
- 37:56last long. It's just part of the process, a
- 38:01rhythm, not a relapse. You have become your own healer,
- 38:08your own ally, your own steady ground.
- 38:15And as you look ahead, I want you to imagine seeing all the
- 38:22wonderful things you get to do in your future.
- 38:27Lots of possibilities. A life not defined by a
- 38:31condition or illness, but illuminated by resilience,
- 38:37purpose and peace. I want you to get a feeling that
- 38:44this is your future. A future where the recalibration
- 38:51has recalibrated. I want you to get a sense that
- 38:57you are already on the journey. Everything you've done up to now
- 39:02has taken you here and everything you do going forward
- 39:08will enable you to get closer to that future.
- 39:14I want you to get a feeling that you are returning from that
- 39:19dreamlike sleep there on that comfy chair on that beach.
- 39:23And I want you to get a feeling that as you leave the chair,
- 39:28walk down the beach, feel that energy, lightness, that clarity,
- 39:34and get a sense that your body is already recalibrating just by
- 39:42awakening the neural pathways of your past.
- 39:46And it's time to take this feeling back to the present.
- 39:52So take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your
- 39:57nose. Just wiggle your fingers and
- 40:00wiggle your toes. Connect and calibrate into the
- 40:03here and the now as I now count from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken
- 40:09you. Starting to count 123 waking up
- 40:15456 more alert 7-8. Open your eyes.
- 40:19Open your eyes 910. Wide awake.
- 40:24Wide awake. Wide awake.
