- 0:07Hello, I'm Matt and I am a psychic medium, but
- 0:10it has taken me quite a while to feel comfortable
- 0:13saying that. In my podcast, I explore the up
- 0:17and down journey of getting comfortable with
- 0:19my psychic and mediumship abilities. I will be
- 0:23talking with guests about their experiences whilst
- 0:26turning the spotlight onto myself and figuring
- 0:28out how I can embrace my gifts while living a
- 0:31normal life. So welcome to The Psychic Explorer.
- 0:50Hello everyone and welcome to this episode of
- 0:53The Psychic Explorer. I thought I'd take you
- 0:56on a little walk today. It's my day off and this
- 1:00morning it was raining. So I thought, right,
- 1:05now it's stopped, go out and enjoy the birds,
- 1:08enjoy the lush greenery that is growing up all
- 1:11around us. And yeah, talk about the topic that
- 1:16I want to talk about today, which is meditation.
- 1:19I put out a post on Instagram the other week
- 1:23asking what you guys would like to hear more
- 1:27about, and the resounding result was meditation.
- 1:33I thought I would talk about this on the walk
- 1:37today because actually what I want to talk about
- 1:39and tackle today, big old blackbird somewhere,
- 1:44is that meditation doesn't have to be traditional.
- 1:52As I'm stood here, there is a deer looking at
- 1:54me. Oh wow, that's brilliant. See, this is it.
- 1:58You go out for a walk and you see some beautiful
- 2:01stuff. I'm so blessed to live where I live. It
- 2:05may not be the prettiest of villages in Norfolk
- 2:07but it has got some incredible countryside and
- 2:12nature on my doorstep. Literally within like
- 2:15a five minute walk of my door I am in open countryside
- 2:20surrounded by trees and nature and this huge
- 2:24deer just pricked its ears up and stared at me
- 2:30and is now moving along. Sorry, slight distraction.
- 2:36This is the danger of recording an episode in
- 2:40the countryside. I might get distracted. In fact,
- 2:44I will get distracted a lot. There's a sluice
- 2:47there. So yeah, some meditation. I'll get there
- 2:51eventually. It doesn't have to be traditional.
- 2:55So I want to take this episode in a few sections.
- 2:59So I want to start off with What is meditation?
- 3:05In my mind, meditation is a relaxing state which
- 3:10allows you to connect with your deeper self and
- 3:15through that sometimes you may be able to connect
- 3:19further and what I mean by that is potentially
- 3:22to spirits, to ancestors, to whatever it is that
- 3:27your belief system engage us with. Normally,
- 3:33meditation involves breath work. It can involve
- 3:37visualization. The easiest way I think personally
- 3:42to get into meditation is through guided meditations.
- 3:46But of course, meditation is really personal.
- 3:52It can be a quick 10 minute thing where you can
- 3:55sit down, close your eyes, And because you might
- 4:01have a chatterbox brain, it only lasts 10 minutes
- 4:04and sometimes you may not even be able to manage
- 4:07that and that's fine. Other times, it can be
- 4:12sitting for hours on end, cross -legged, in the
- 4:16lotus position, chanting om. You know, it really
- 4:20is different to everyone. And I really want to
- 4:23also stress that it is a practice. It's something
- 4:26that doesn't always come naturally. And especially
- 4:31in our really busy world, it's something that
- 4:38needs to be worked on. I do find that there tends
- 4:45to be a romanticization on meditation. Quite
- 4:50often when I'm scrolling on Instagram, I... And
- 4:55I don't like doing that, by the way, but I do
- 4:57catch myself doing it. And they're really from
- 4:59time to time. I often see people videoing themselves
- 5:05meditating. They have a specific place. They
- 5:10have an altar maybe with things that mean something
- 5:14to them. Maybe they are totems, incense, candles,
- 5:19crystals, whatever it might be. That. In my mind,
- 5:23it's sort of like the traditional meditation
- 5:26together with the Buddhist monk sat cross -legged
- 5:29in a temple or under a tree in quiet contemplation,
- 5:35maybe so at one with nature that the birds and
- 5:38the squirrels and all the creatures come up to
- 5:42them because that monk or that individual is
- 5:48so at one with the world. that even the creatures
- 5:51are no longer afraid of them. But this is an
- 5:56honest podcast. This is about my experience so
- 6:01far. So what I'm about to say in this episode
- 6:05is just my experience. It's just my thoughts.
- 6:09I'm not an oracle. So, you know, I am not the
- 6:13be all and end all. Simply my opinion as it stands.
- 6:19at the moment. For me the reality is very different.
- 6:26Those traditional ideas of meditation can actually
- 6:30be quite overwhelming and can also trigger my
- 6:35imposter syndrome as it were. When I was in Asia
- 6:42I was really excited to see and experience a
- 6:46quiet place. to sit down, to meditate, whether
- 6:55it be in a temple, or in the grounds of Angkor
- 6:59Wat, or on a beach, somewhere where I could feel,
- 7:05you know, it is romanticized. You know, stereotypically,
- 7:08you think you can go there to connect straight
- 7:11away, and I found it really difficult. Because
- 7:15when I went to these places, And let's use the
- 7:18example of the temple. These places were almost
- 7:21used for anything but meditating. There were
- 7:26children running around playing in the shade
- 7:30of the temple. And that's lovely to see, you
- 7:33know, it was really nice, but it was not conducive
- 7:35to a traditional quiet meditation. Old women
- 7:39met up there for a gossip. I even went to one
- 7:43place. And there was this mum sat there with
- 7:47her toddlers and the toddlers were just trying
- 7:50to cool off in the shade. But the mum was sat
- 7:53there on her mobile phone playing Britney Spears
- 7:57toxic at full volume from her mobile phone. Anyone
- 8:02that knows me, anyone that knows me knows that
- 8:05the number one thing you can do to wind me up
- 8:07is to play a sound from your mobile phone. Is
- 8:11there something about that tone? that just grates
- 8:15me i don't know what it is but oh my god if you
- 8:17want to piss me off that's what you do so i wasn't
- 8:22able to relax and meditate as i had wanted and
- 8:28that was okay because i'll go back to what i
- 8:32said a minute ago meditation is a practice it's
- 8:38not a perfection if you're never going to perfect
- 8:40it because we all live human lives. Oh, I've
- 8:47just come to a gate, so excuse the noise. There's
- 8:57the chain, there's the chain. Also, there has
- 9:03been cows ahead. Last time I did this walk, I
- 9:06had my mum's dog Reggie and... They almost tried
- 9:09to stampede me, so I'm always very cautious of
- 9:11them, but there is a big old gully separating
- 9:16me and them, so hopefully they'll keep in their
- 9:20place. Hello! Moo! You're not sure who I am?
- 9:25You're not sure what I'm doing? No, I'm not sure
- 9:27what I'm doing either. Well, they're very curious.
- 9:33They're just staring at me. Hello. I can't tell
- 9:39if they're male or female. There are also nesting
- 9:43swans ahead. So does that mean I can't go near
- 9:46them? Does that mean that I... I'm very aware
- 9:54this is making very bad podcasting. Right, let's
- 10:00walk past this swan and see if they start hissing
- 10:04or attacking me. Hopefully, they should be okay.
- 10:07Hello. Yep, hello. There you go. I don't know
- 10:16if you heard that, but there was two big old
- 10:20swans and one of them sat on a nest right on
- 10:23the side of the pathway. Beautiful big nest made
- 10:25out of straw and they both started hissing as
- 10:28I walked past. So what was my introduction to
- 10:37meditation? Well, I've already told you in episode
- 10:41one that when mum used to come home from her
- 10:44circles or whatever she used to come home from,
- 10:46she never actually said, I don't remember what
- 10:49she said she was doing, but she used to come
- 10:52home and say, well, do you want to try a meditation
- 10:54I just done? And we would both say, yeah, okay,
- 10:56let's go for it. So she put on some music and
- 11:00me and my sister would lie on the front. lay
- 11:03out on the front room, heads on pillows, and
- 11:07my mom would guide us in her meditation that
- 11:10she had just learned. And I would go off into
- 11:13some world that I would be exploring in my mind's
- 11:17eye. My sister would always find it difficult
- 11:19to come back because she'd find it so relaxing.
- 11:22And again, as I said already, she still finds
- 11:24that. She doesn't meditate very often because
- 11:26she does find it difficult to come out of there.
- 11:31But from that point on, I hadn't really done
- 11:34anything until after mum died and my idea of
- 11:37meditation was very traditional. Now, when I
- 11:40say that, I'm gonna use that phrase quite a bit,
- 11:42traditional meditation. What I mean by that,
- 11:45well, it may mean different to you, but my idea
- 11:48of a traditional meditation is sitting down,
- 11:55closing your eyes, visualization, and trying
- 11:58to block the rest of the world out. There's another
- 12:03gate here so I may make some clattering noise
- 12:05so I can work out how it works. How does it work?
- 12:11Okay it's just a simple chain that I can't undo.
- 12:16There we are. Okay I'm in the field I almost
- 12:35got trampled on last time so if you hear a sudden
- 12:39stampede and then nothing you know what's happened
- 12:42to me. Oh god they do scare me these cows. They're
- 12:47far enough away so that's fine but I'm wondering
- 12:50where they're going to be when I come back. So
- 12:53yeah so I started to go to development circle
- 12:56and at the beginning of each session of that
- 13:00they'd always do a meditation and I found those
- 13:04meditations so relaxing, so good. I'd almost
- 13:08find myself going to the awareness circle, the
- 13:13development circle just to get the meditations
- 13:17because I found them so relaxing. Meditation
- 13:22gave me a connection to something more. When
- 13:26I went into my meditations in development circle
- 13:28I could feel those around me, I could feel so
- 13:33much. And I suppose at the beginning, I did it
- 13:37because, I mean, not only did it feel nice, but
- 13:39also it did give me that connection to mum. It
- 13:44allowed me to have the conversation with her
- 13:47in my own mind's eye. To feel the hug that I
- 13:52was missing so much from her physically, because
- 13:56in my meditations, it would almost be tangible.
- 14:03I started that regular practice for four months.
- 14:11I started going to the development circle in
- 14:15August and I started doing it really regularly.
- 14:22I set up my back bedroom with a really nice space.
- 14:26My God, I'm so unfit. Getting out of breath as
- 14:29I'm talking and walking is crazy. So I set up
- 14:37my back bedroom as a meditation space. I wouldn't
- 14:42go as far as to say I made an altar, but I had
- 14:45some candles and I used to burn oils as I meditated
- 14:49and I used to play a certain track on YouTube
- 14:54music, which I'll actually link in the show notes
- 14:57because I do find it really beautiful and really
- 15:06meditative, for lack of a better word. I would
- 15:10do that regularly. I would say to my other half,
- 15:12I'm just gonna go upstairs for half an hour.
- 15:14And that would be like two, three times a week.
- 15:16I'd go up there and just sit. And I find it really
- 15:22emotional. I found it. I found I was really connected.
- 15:28I would often find that when I felt the presence
- 15:30of mum, I would come back to the room with a
- 15:35tear rolling down my eye. It was profound. It
- 15:40really was. And it was in those moments that
- 15:43I realized I was able to, I may hasten to use
- 15:48the phrase remote view or astral projects, you
- 15:54know, move through time and space, which is my
- 15:57mind. But it certainly felt that way. And those
- 16:02are the moments where I would say to my sister,
- 16:04were you doing X, Y and Z today? And she would
- 16:06say, yes, how did you know? And I'd say, I saw
- 16:09it as I was meditating. I started, oh, there's
- 16:17a plane. I should tell you that we live right
- 16:20under the flight path of Norwich airport. although
- 16:23it's hardly a busy international airport. We
- 16:26do get a few flights from Amsterdam each day,
- 16:29so there they go. But yeah, I started that regular
- 16:36practice and it only lasted four months. Is that
- 16:40right? Oh, sorry. Yeah, I think it is. I think
- 16:44it is right. It's only about four months because
- 16:47when we had guests come over, for Christmas,
- 16:53we also had to put the foldable bed out in the
- 16:56back bedroom. And that sort of interrupted my
- 17:00flow. And I never really went back to it. But
- 17:03what I will say is that my friend Kelly came
- 17:05down from Scotland and she said, she came down
- 17:08in the morning of her first night and she said,
- 17:12do you meditate in that room? And I said, yeah,
- 17:15why? And she said, oh my God, the energy is so
- 17:17good. I can just feel that the energy is such.
- 17:20such a good energy in that background. I found
- 17:25that not only could I, you know, remote view,
- 17:29again I don't, I feel uncomfortable, naturally
- 17:32I feel uncomfortable using that phrase remote
- 17:33view, but not only can I see things in my mind's
- 17:37eye, but I could also feel things for a sitter.
- 17:40So for example, when I spoke about doing the
- 17:46remembrance Sunday, Zoom, gallery call for a
- 17:52spiritualist church. I did a little meditation
- 17:54beforehand and I found that I was getting a message
- 18:01come through from this mother and I could feel
- 18:07her really strongly and I said to her in my mind,
- 18:11okay I know you're there, step back for the moment,
- 18:16I know what character you are, And when I am
- 18:21live, then you can come through if you are for
- 18:25someone in this room. And she did, she stepped
- 18:28back. And when it was her time, she came through
- 18:34and her daughter could take it. She was a mum
- 18:38who prioritised good times and men. But I felt
- 18:42that message before I even knew who I was connecting
- 18:46to. And that's what I mean, you can connect to
- 18:50people through meditation. It does allow that.
- 18:56But like I say, then Christmas hit and my flow
- 19:01stopped. Life took over. We had travel coming
- 19:06up. We had my mum's cottage to deal with. We
- 19:11had a lot of stuff, I had a lot of stuff going
- 19:13on. So my practice, my meditation practice really
- 19:18took a nosedive and it has done ever since. Like
- 19:22I say, I want to be honest with you guys. I know
- 19:24you love light and rainbows and all that, but
- 19:27at the same time, I've got to be honest and tell
- 19:29you when things aren't, the reality is different
- 19:34from what the romanticized version is. When I
- 19:39do get to meditate now, I noticed that my meditations
- 19:44are nowhere near as profound as they used to
- 19:51be. Whereas my meditation before were the beta,
- 19:56these meditations I have now are light. They're
- 19:59really not as profound as they used to be. I'm
- 20:06actually finding that recently when i meditate
- 20:09i'm finding myself falling asleep and i have
- 20:15to trust that actually at the moment that is
- 20:17just what i need that's what i need for my life
- 20:21right now i don't necessarily need profound messages
- 20:25or um proof of a connection because i know that
- 20:28is there and maybe that's why it has subsided
- 20:32because i'm maybe used to that connection more
- 20:35and you know as you're body and mind get used
- 20:39to something, it normalizes it. But I definitely
- 20:43don't feel it as strongly as I used to. I'm just
- 20:55pausing because there's a farmer with his big
- 20:58old tractor and I don't want to scare him off
- 21:02by talking to myself thinking I'm even more nuts
- 21:06than I already look. Walking across a field with
- 21:13a microphone attached to my lapel of my coat,
- 21:17holding a mobile phone in one hand. Just gave
- 21:28me a gentle wave, wave back to him. Always nice
- 21:33countryside, etiquette dictates that. you always
- 21:37say hello to complete strangers. My other half,
- 21:40or whenever we do these walks, always says, why
- 21:44the hell do you say hello to these people? You
- 21:46wouldn't say hello to them if you're passing
- 21:48them in the street. And it's quite right, I wouldn't,
- 21:50but countryside etiquette does demand that you
- 21:54nod, wave, or say hello to complete and utter
- 21:58strangers who pass and cross your way. Right,
- 22:05so. What was I saying? As I'm talking to you,
- 22:09the question's coming to my mind. Why did I put
- 22:12so much pressure onto myself? Because meditation
- 22:16does not have to be, in a verse, commas, traditional.
- 22:21Many people feel that they are bad at meditating.
- 22:26They have a wandering mind that they can't keep
- 22:28still. They chatter to themselves. They can't
- 22:34quiet their inner voice. But actually meditating
- 22:37does not have to be that sat in a dark room,
- 22:40closing your eyes. It can be something much more
- 22:46every day. It can be painting. It can be reading.
- 22:52It can be dance or movement. It can be gardening.
- 22:56It can be driving. You know, when you're in that
- 22:58moment of, oh, how did I get here? Do not actively
- 23:04meditate while you are driving. There is my disclaimer
- 23:06for you. But you know when you're driving along
- 23:09and you think, oh, don't remember getting here,
- 23:12that is a form of meditation. You're zoning out.
- 23:15It can be a walk, which is why I'm taking you
- 23:18on a walk today. I am not meditating because
- 23:22I'm talking to you, but when you're just walking
- 23:24along and you're admiring the countryside or
- 23:27admiring the landscape, that can be a form of
- 23:32meditation. If you are zoning out, I would argue
- 23:36you are meditating. It's easier said than done
- 23:43and I try not to beat myself up too much about
- 23:46not doing traditional meditating or not practicing
- 23:50traditional meditation because I find that I
- 23:53do zone out quite a lot. In my day job, I'm a
- 23:58gardener. You will not find me without my earbuds
- 24:01in my ear. listening to a podcast, invariably
- 24:06it's about politics or spirituality or history.
- 24:12And although you might argue that listening to
- 24:15a podcast about politics is not particularly
- 24:18meditative, I would happen to agree with you,
- 24:20especially at the moment. However, it is just
- 24:24background noise sometimes. And I had to remind
- 24:26myself that I have been doing an eight hour,
- 24:29nine hour day gardening. getting my hands in
- 24:32nature, making a difference, creating something,
- 24:37whilst zoning out. That is meditation. So actually
- 24:42when I look back and feel guilty that I don't
- 24:46regularly sit in my back bedroom with my incense
- 24:49or my oils burning, listening to my meditation
- 24:54music, doesn't matter. I'm still meditating on
- 24:58a day -to -day basis. For me, meditation is a
- 25:02moment where you're able to reflect and reach
- 25:07the inner you. And it is so easy to put pressure
- 25:11on oneself as it is in everyday life. Oh my goodness,
- 25:19we are supposed to be spiritual beings, we are
- 25:21supposed to be enlightened beings. Why the hell
- 25:24do we put pressure on ourselves on something
- 25:27that should be joyful? and natural and about
- 25:33us. I've had a question come in and they've asked,
- 25:41does meditation need a set purpose? Well, I'm
- 25:47going to answer yes and no. That's a chicken's
- 25:52answer, isn't it? Yes, I know. But what I mean
- 25:54by that is that it doesn't need a purpose. I
- 25:58don't feel that it needs a purpose, but it can
- 25:59help. And again, this is just my own opinion,
- 26:02but I don't feel meditation needs that purpose.
- 26:06I think intention is more important than purpose.
- 26:09For me, the word purpose implies that there is
- 26:12a specific result which is required. And this
- 26:16is not always possible, especially in spirituality.
- 26:18You can't guarantee you're going to get the thing
- 26:22that you want. Whereas intention to me implies
- 26:27a desire, but not an expectation. I hope that
- 26:30makes sense. Before reading, I will set that
- 26:35intention of being on. I will visualize a light
- 26:40above my head turning on to notify those who
- 26:45want to impart a message through me that I am
- 26:47ready and that they can do that, they can start
- 26:49lining up. However to not have that purpose,
- 26:55to not have that intention, to just sit and see
- 26:58what comes through is also meaningful. Oh this
- 27:03is nice, sorry I just want to stop here. I'm
- 27:06walking across the fields and I suddenly come
- 27:08to a village so this is why you probably hear
- 27:10traffic noise in the background or something.
- 27:12There's an old church. It's Flint Church, and
- 27:19it's a ruin of a church, but it's the skeleton
- 27:23of this building in the woods. It's quite something.
- 27:26I'll take a picture and a video. So what was
- 27:33I saying? Sorry, I got distracted by a church.
- 27:37What was I saying about my love of history and
- 27:39old things? I... You can just sit and see what
- 27:44comes through because actually that is when subtle
- 27:47messages from yourself or your subconscious can
- 27:50come through to provide some form of enlightenment,
- 27:54some form of... Yeah, I don't know the words,
- 28:00but it can do that. Now, this is very apt. I
- 28:24was talking earlier on about being in a temple,
- 28:29a religious place, and being able to meditate,
- 28:31but it being too noisy in Asia. I have walked,
- 28:35I don't know, a kilometer, two kilometers from
- 28:37my house, and there is this church which I knew
- 28:41was here, but I had no idea how lovely it was.
- 28:44This old, old church, and there's no one here.
- 28:49It's set amongst... trees and a small graveyard.
- 28:54This is just a shell of a building and there's
- 28:57a small waist -high gate. I'm going to open it
- 29:03and step in. I'm just going to sit in here quietly
- 29:16with you, if it's safe for you to do so. Just
- 29:22quiet yourself. Close your eyes. Take a deep
- 29:29breath in. Hold that breath and let it go. Take
- 29:39another deep breath in. Hold it and let it go.
- 29:50And repeat that a few more times. And just listen
- 29:58to the atmosphere of this very old church that
- 30:05has a plaque with the year 1704. I'm going to
- 31:21call you back. I want you to focus on my voice.
- 31:31Take another deep breath in and let it go. Take
- 31:39another deep breath in. Feel your surroundings.
- 31:49Be aware of the surface that your feet are touching.
- 31:55And when you're ready, just open your eyes. Well,
- 32:34I hope you found that relaxing. I was in that
- 32:36churchyard and I thought it would be remiss of
- 32:39me to not take you through a very short meditation.
- 32:42So I hope that you were able to stop whatever
- 32:44you were doing, close your eyes and just take
- 32:48a moment for you. Guys, if you have any questions,
- 32:53I'd love to hear from you. You can find me on
- 32:57Instagram, Facebook and threads at the .psychic
- 33:00.explorer. Alternatively, if you like what I'm
- 33:03doing on this podcast, it would be really helpful
- 33:06if you could like, subscribe, maybe make a comment
- 33:08or even rate my podcast on whatever platform
- 33:11it is that you are listening to this on. But
- 33:14for now, let's get back to the walk in the glorious
- 33:16Norfolk countryside where I contemplate meditation.
- 33:32I'm going to try, there's actually a black door
- 33:34here, a small black door at the back of this
- 33:38ruin of a church. I've got a feeling there is
- 33:41a proper church behind it. Let's have a look.
- 33:47Oh wow. I've opened this door and there is a
- 33:57small church, the beautiful wooden roof. or rather
- 34:02a wooden ceiling. Yeah, I'm just going to sit
- 34:07for a moment, just absorb the energy, absorb
- 34:14the atmosphere. So how does meditation help with
- 34:21psychic work? Well, I think, and again, this
- 34:28is all my opinion, but It helps you to tune in
- 34:31before a reading, it helps to quiet the mind.
- 34:35Same as prayer, that's all prayer in my opinion.
- 34:39I think prayer is a meditation, it's a form of
- 34:41meditation. I'm sat here in this church and there's
- 34:44a small wooden altar and I'm aware that people
- 34:47use this space to pray, to essentially meditate
- 34:53on an intention. So much of psychic work. is
- 35:00shadow work. And what I mean by that is that
- 35:03shadow work is working through one's own issues.
- 35:08Quietening the mind can help us meditate and
- 35:13allows us to feel our inner self. It is easier
- 35:18to connect after a meditation as the mind and
- 35:23body is calmed. Many mediums will promote sitting
- 35:29in the power, which is basically taking time
- 35:33for you to charge your psychic battery as it
- 35:39were. Although I don't think it is strictly necessary
- 35:43to do this in order to connect before reading.
- 35:47Building your regular meditation practice into
- 35:50your routine can help your mind and body connect
- 35:54more easily. If you are already in a routine
- 35:56where You are regularly meditating, regularly
- 35:59praying. I don't necessarily think you have to
- 36:03set aside a time each time you want to connect
- 36:07because you will begin to connect much easier.
- 36:17Now I'm sat here in this church, I've closed
- 36:19my eyes and I'm just listening. listening to
- 36:24the distant chatter of the birds on the other
- 36:27side of these thick thick walls as well as listening
- 36:30to myself the enemy and I'm questioning what
- 36:39I want you to take away from this episode rather
- 36:44than me just mattering into the ether as I feel
- 36:48like I tend to do I want this to have a purpose.
- 36:52And as I sit here, I am made aware of how busy
- 36:57our lives are. These modern lives that we have
- 37:02are so full of things, so full of tasks, so full
- 37:09of conflicting priorities. If meditation to you
- 37:17is sitting in a church quietly. If meditation
- 37:24to you is reading your favorite novel, if meditation
- 37:30to you is getting your hands dirty in the garden,
- 37:35if meditation to you is standing at the door
- 37:40of your child's bedroom and watching them sleep,
- 37:45then that is absolutely good enough. There is
- 37:50so much pressure to conform in this world that
- 37:53we live in, to conform to an ideal standard of
- 37:57being and I think meditation has this high bar.
- 38:04As I said earlier on, people can film themselves
- 38:07meditating in their space and that is really
- 38:11good for them but I feel that that doesn't necessarily
- 38:14help relieve the pressure. that meditation has
- 38:18to be practiced in a certain way or done in a
- 38:22certain manner. If you are able to quiet your
- 38:27mind, if you are able to allow your thoughts
- 38:30in, then that, my friend, is meditating. I think
- 38:38that is all I want to say on the matter. I think
- 38:42you can probably hear the difference in my voice
- 38:44when I'm walking out in the fields, talking to
- 38:48you, reading from my very brief notes about what
- 38:52I wanted to say compared to my voice and how
- 38:55I'm talking to you now from this very cocooned
- 38:57atmosphere where it's just me in this building.
- 39:47Just walking back across the fields now back
- 39:50home, back towards home. And I wanted to say
- 39:55a farewell for this episode. I am going to release
- 40:01a bonus episode after this one. And that bonus
- 40:06episode is a guided meditation which I have put
- 40:10together. It's always difficult because, you
- 40:17know, meditations are so personal. And there
- 40:23are so many out there, you know, if you just
- 40:25go onto YouTube or Spotify, whatever, you can
- 40:29always find a meditation that someone has put
- 40:32together. So I do sometimes feel like I am just
- 40:37adding a drop of water into a rather large ocean.
- 40:41But this meditation that I have recorded is a
- 40:44version of a meditation that I was taking through.
- 40:48It was a guided meditation that I was taking
- 40:50through once. I've adapted it slightly and the
- 40:54aim of it is to help you develop your clairs.
- 40:59So your clairvoyance, your mind's eye, your clairsentience,
- 41:07your feeling. your client audience, the way that
- 41:11you feel and hear spirit. And I don't want to
- 41:16put anyone off. If you do not consider yourself
- 41:19a psychic or a medium, you can still do this.
- 41:22You can still do this meditation. It's basically
- 41:27just guiding you through a place and allowing
- 41:33you to tune in and allowing you to experience.
- 41:39feelings that I feel when I am channeling a message
- 41:46for someone. If you've ever wanted to know what
- 41:49it feels like when a psychic or a medium says
- 41:51I can feel or I can see or I can hear, then this
- 41:55meditation I feel is quite a good one to do because
- 41:59it will allow you that experience without necessarily
- 42:02connecting to anyone in particular, without opening
- 42:06up any doors that you may feel are scary at the
- 42:12moment. I promise you it is not scary, it is
- 42:16very relaxing. It is a long one, it's like half
- 42:19an hour long. So certainly do not play this bonus
- 42:22meditation if you're driving. If you do choose
- 42:28to listen to it, I'd love to hear some feedback
- 42:30because I feel like it's something I'd like to
- 42:33do more of, but yeah, don't know if... if you
- 42:38want it or not, so let me know. So I think I'm
- 42:42going to leave it there. The next episode is
- 42:46a guest episode. I've got Nicola with me. She
- 42:50is my circle leader and she is on to talk about
- 42:52Circle. What is Circle? Who's it for? And what
- 42:57to expect from it. And she's also going to talk
- 43:00to me about her journey on this path. She's been
- 43:03on it longer than I have. So yeah if you enjoyed
- 43:08the episode with Dana Willey then you will definitely
- 43:11enjoy this episode and all that leaves me to
- 43:18say is have a wonderful rest of your day maybe
- 43:26find a quiet time just close your eyes or do
- 43:30something that you enjoy which quiets your mind
- 43:35sending you all my love Take care guys. Bye.
