- 2:00Speaker 5: I do? What is it?

- 2:09Speaker 4: Every single week we save a very special spot on
- 2:12Speaker 4: this very podcast to highlight a review from.
- 2:15Speaker 3: Our lovely community members just like Cheyenne.
- 2:18Speaker 4: So this was a letter sent to us an email,
- 2:22Speaker 4: but it felt like a letter anyway, to the dear
- 2:25Speaker 4: She's on the money team. I just wanted to say
- 2:28Speaker 4: thank you, truly, deeply, thank you. I've been listening to
- 2:31Speaker 4: your podcast for the past two and a half years,
- 2:33Speaker 4: and I don't think I could ever fully put into
- 2:35Speaker 4: words just how much it has changed my life.
- 2:38Speaker 3: When I first found you, I was at one of
- 2:40Speaker 3: my lowest points.
- 2:41Speaker 4: I had just become a single mum after going through
- 2:43Speaker 4: a divorce, and my daughter and I had moved back
- 2:46Speaker 4: in with my dad, sharing a single room. I was
- 2:49Speaker 4: living week to week, juggling childcare costs, bills, and doing
- 2:52Speaker 4: it without any financial support. It was overwhelming and honestly
- 2:56Speaker 4: pretty scary. But your podcast gave me something I didn't
- 3:00Speaker 4: have at the time. It gave me direction, belief, and
- 3:02Speaker 4: a sense of control over my future. I made a
- 3:05Speaker 4: decision that things were going to be different for us.
- 3:08Speaker 4: Fast forward to today, and my life looks completely different.
- 3:12Speaker 4: I was able to save for a business loan and
- 3:15Speaker 4: purchase a small business in my hometown. I now employ
- 3:19Speaker 4: for staff full time and have doubled the business size.
- 3:25Speaker 4: I've built a ten thousand dollars emergency fund, I've invested
- 3:28Speaker 4: thirty thousand dollars into shares, and for the first time,
- 3:31Speaker 4: I feel financially secure. More importantly, I've been creating a
- 3:36Speaker 4: beautiful life for my daughter. She gets to go to
- 3:39Speaker 4: a private school, she does gymnastics, swimming, and netball. And
- 3:43Speaker 4: I've managed to build all of this while maintaining what
- 3:47Speaker 4: I would say is a very healthy work life balance.
- 3:50Speaker 4: None of this happened overnight, but with your guidance, your honesty,
- 3:54Speaker 4: and your constant encouragement, it played such a huge role
- 3:57Speaker 4: in me actually getting there. You didn't just teach me
- 4:00Speaker 4: about money. You helped me change the trajectory of our lives.
- 4:04Speaker 4: From the bottom of my heart, thank you, I'm going
- 4:07Speaker 4: to cry.
- 4:09Speaker 5: From the bottom of my heart. Thank you for everything
- 4:11Speaker 5: you do. You've made a difference. You've made a difference.
- 4:17Speaker 3: I can't read it.
- 4:18Speaker 4: It's all blurry. Did she write it in blurry text?
- 4:24Speaker 4: You've made a difference in more lives than you probably realized.
- 4:27Speaker 4: Mine included with so much gratitude, Chyenne.
- 4:31Speaker 5: Oh.
- 4:33Speaker 3: That's so amazing. Isn't that crazy? Oh my goodness, it's crazy. Amazing.
- 4:42Speaker 3: It's crazy.
- 4:43Speaker 5: It sounds obviously incredible for you, but like to be
- 4:46Speaker 5: for real, I know we're rocking with the coffee and
- 4:49Speaker 5: we have a good time.
- 4:51Speaker 3: That's crazy, that's what we're doing.
- 4:53Speaker 5: Yes, seriously, that's like to change the trajectory of someone's
- 4:58Speaker 5: life in a positive way.
- 4:59Speaker 3: And it's insane for you to like listen to a
- 5:02Speaker 3: podcast and like do all this stuff on your own.
- 5:04Speaker 5: Like don't get me wrong, Like I know that you're
- 5:06Speaker 5: giving us credit and that's so great, but like we
- 5:10Speaker 5: didn't do the work.
- 5:10Speaker 3: You did. Yeah, like you did the work.
- 5:12Speaker 4: Like and I can yell at a brick wall all
- 5:15Speaker 4: day about budgeting and cash flow and girl, I would,
- 5:17Speaker 4: I love it, But people actually have to listen and
- 5:20Speaker 4: do the work. Like I think it's it's one of
- 5:22Speaker 4: those things where it's like somebody copying your homework. You're like,
- 5:26Speaker 4: you can copy my homework, but like to what end,
- 5:29Speaker 4: Like you'll get the mark, it'll say that you're good
- 5:31Speaker 4: at the homework, and then you've got to go out
- 5:33Speaker 4: in the real world. Like it's not going to work
- 5:35Speaker 4: for sure, Like you're not actually going to learn anything.
- 5:38Speaker 4: And I think that for you to do the work
- 5:40Speaker 4: that's the biggest thing. Like, that's the coolest thing ever.
- 5:42Speaker 4: And I just it's so cool that what we do
- 5:46Speaker 4: actually has an impact. That is, that's crazy work for me,
- 5:49Speaker 4: really incredible. That is I'm obsessed. And the fact that
- 5:53Speaker 4: you took the time to write us a whole last letter.
- 5:56Speaker 3: Yeah, that's why I said.
- 5:58Speaker 5: It sounded like a letter and I I only ever
- 6:00Speaker 5: read that in my head and then when I read
- 6:01Speaker 5: it out loud, I was like, I didn't realize I
- 6:03Speaker 5: was going to cry. I was like, oh my god,
- 6:05Speaker 5: this is so beautiful. I put it on the show.
- 6:07Speaker 3: And then thanks for that.
- 6:09Speaker 5: Thank you, how cud, that's amazing, proud of our community. Well,
- 6:14Speaker 5: I'll tell you what, You've brightened up our morning. That's
- 6:16Speaker 5: for shure, You've frightened up my entire week. Entire week,
- 6:19Speaker 5: oh but my life.
- 6:20Speaker 4: Literally let's segue into a different section of the podcast.
- 6:24Speaker 3: Beck, can I ask you a question please? Perhaps a
- 6:28Speaker 3: question of the week. Oh my god.
- 6:30Speaker 4: Yes, Well really, Mikayla is actually asking us a question,
- 6:34Speaker 4: and I would say this one's like a little bit intimate, okay,
- 6:37Speaker 4: late on me, I thought this was hilarious. Mikayla asks,
- 6:42Speaker 4: in what order do you dry yourself first when you
- 6:44Speaker 4: get out of the shower.
- 6:45Speaker 5: Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, great question. I thought when
- 6:48Speaker 5: you said intimate, I was like, we're going to cry again. No, no,
- 6:52Speaker 5: I'm not going to cry again. And also, this isn't
- 6:54Speaker 5: the B and J show.
- 6:55Speaker 3: This is the B and B show. Yes, this is
- 6:57Speaker 3: like g rated, g rated.
- 7:00Speaker 5: Okay, so I bring tel I think I do arms
- 7:06Speaker 5: the chest or a grated breast. I want to say,
- 7:10Speaker 5: you're aloud to talk about your boobs, titties, my titties.
- 7:13Speaker 3: Yes, and then belly yeah.
- 7:15Speaker 5: And then I do like I don't know about you,
- 7:16Speaker 5: and I feel like anyone who grew up maybe like
- 7:19Speaker 5: without heaps of money. Why do you want to generalize?
- 7:22Speaker 5: But people like me, I think, find a lot of
- 7:24Speaker 5: comfort in the scratchy, the chrispy town, the crispy towel,
- 7:28Speaker 5: crispy town.
- 7:29Speaker 1: You get it.
- 7:29Speaker 3: I get it. I don't like a soft towel. No,
- 7:31Speaker 3: don't dry them in the dryer. No, I don't like it.
- 7:34Speaker 5: No, it has to be dried on the line, Like
- 7:36Speaker 5: if I'm pulling my towel off the line and like
- 7:39Speaker 5: there's a crease when I fold it.
- 7:40Speaker 3: That's perfect. Like if you take it off the line,
- 7:42Speaker 3: it's still got the.
- 7:43Speaker 5: Yeah, it's like you pull it exactly and then you
- 7:46Speaker 5: pull it up. It's like rock hard. It's like you
- 7:49Speaker 5: need to shake it back to it. Yeah, but like
- 7:50Speaker 5: you want the exfoliation. I think it's really experience.
- 7:54Speaker 3: I agree always.
- 7:54Speaker 5: It just doesn't like it just moves the water around
- 7:57Speaker 5: your body if it's too soft, so you're gonna have
- 7:59Speaker 5: a crispy town.
- 8:00Speaker 3: And then I'm exfoliating my back with it, you know
- 8:02Speaker 3: those like yeah, yeah, yeah, the scrub it up. But
- 8:04Speaker 3: I do that too. I like, oh my god, maybe
- 8:06Speaker 3: and then one leg the other leg, and then you know,
- 8:10Speaker 3: do you wash your hair every time you shower? I
- 8:12Speaker 3: think I do.
- 8:14Speaker 5: I have never really understood like hair care very well,
- 8:17Speaker 5: so see I don't.
- 8:19Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, and I wash my hair, and like some
- 8:22Speaker 4: people are going to think this is like crazy work,
- 8:24Speaker 4: but like I only wash my hair once a week,
- 8:26Speaker 4: which I also think for a lot of people is
- 8:28Speaker 4: going to be really normal. But then for other people
- 8:29Speaker 4: they're like absolutely not. I wash my hair every day, yeah,
- 8:33Speaker 4: because like some people get really oily hair really quickly.
- 8:36Speaker 5: I just don't.
- 8:36Speaker 4: Yeah, like go, I'm not styling my hair every single day.
- 8:39Speaker 4: I have a lot of it, and I style it
- 8:41Speaker 4: like no, yeah, so it depends if it's a hair
- 8:44Speaker 4: day or a not hair day.
- 8:46Speaker 5: I ha, got you, Okay, got you. If it's a
- 8:47Speaker 5: hair day, yeah, I like get out of the shower
- 8:51Speaker 5: and I have wet hair, and I put the towel
- 8:53Speaker 5: all around me and then like quickly drive my legs
- 8:56Speaker 5: and like kind of forget about my mid section if
- 8:59Speaker 5: I'm being honest, and then flip my hair upside down
- 9:01Speaker 5: and put the towel on my hair.
- 9:03Speaker 3: Don't worry about the mids.
- 9:04Speaker 5: No.
- 9:06Speaker 4: Do you have a special thing with your hair, Yeah,
- 9:07Speaker 4: like turbin it up. And then I'll do like my
- 9:11Speaker 4: skin care, like put some moisturizer and stuff on before
- 9:13Speaker 4: I even get to work on my hair, because I
- 9:16Speaker 4: feel like the hair needs like a little minute.
- 9:18Speaker 3: Just like in the turbine. Do you get int of water? Yes, absolutely,
- 9:22Speaker 3: and I've heard microfiber is good for it.
- 9:24Speaker 4: And then I'll like do that, got my moisturizer on,
- 9:27Speaker 4: I'm still a little bit damn Yes. Then I flip
- 9:30Speaker 4: my hair back and like scrub it up like the
- 9:33Speaker 4: way that people say that you're not meant to when
- 9:35Speaker 4: you're like, quote, looking after your hair.
- 9:37Speaker 3: I like, scrub the hell out of my hair with
- 9:38Speaker 3: my towel upside down.
- 9:40Speaker 4: Yeah, and then I take the towel, flip my hair
- 9:43Speaker 4: back and wrap the towel around my mid section and
- 9:45Speaker 4: that's when my mid section gets dryed.
- 9:47Speaker 3: Yes, okay, got you clever? Efficient as well. I don't
- 9:51Speaker 3: know if that's efficient. Did you know?
- 9:53Speaker 4: I saw a TikTok the other day, which seems to
- 9:55Speaker 4: be like the common phrase in my life. I'm chronically
- 9:58Speaker 4: and it. She was an American girl, so I'm not
- 10:01Speaker 4: sure if this is like an American thing or not.
- 10:03Speaker 4: But she was like, guys, I just learned that not
- 10:06Speaker 4: everybody puts lotion on after they shower.
- 10:09Speaker 3: And I was like, what, like yeah, do you know?
- 10:14Speaker 5: No?
- 10:14Speaker 3: Same? No, Like I get out of the shower, I
- 10:16Speaker 3: dry my body. That's it. Deodorant, yes, yeah, lotion like lotion. No,
- 10:22Speaker 3: that's special.
- 10:23Speaker 4: Occasions, totally, Like that's maybe when I've done and everything shower.
- 10:28Speaker 3: Yeah, I've shaved my legs. I then do some lotion.
- 10:31Speaker 3: It's a pampa knife, it's a pampa NI like that
- 10:33Speaker 3: is special. She's like no, no, no, Like I lotion
- 10:36Speaker 3: my body and then I oil my body. Does not
- 10:39Speaker 3: everybody do this?
- 10:40Speaker 5: Wow?
- 10:41Speaker 3: She would be soft as hell?
- 10:43Speaker 4: Yeah, but can people in the comments section on Spotify
- 10:45Speaker 4: please let me know?
- 10:47Speaker 3: Are we just not doing it right?
- 10:49Speaker 5: Like? Yeah? Like because I was at the supermarket the
- 10:52Speaker 5: day after I saw that TikTok and I was like,
- 10:55Speaker 5: oh wow, there are a lot of body lotion options
- 10:58Speaker 5: for sale at the supermar Yeah.
- 11:01Speaker 3: Are we meant to be doing this?
- 11:03Speaker 5: Like?
- 11:03Speaker 3: Are we meant to like body lotion our whole bodies
- 11:06Speaker 3: body lotion? Of course? It literally just hit me body lotion, Like,
- 11:09Speaker 3: are people doing this every day? Tell us with what
- 11:12Speaker 3: time you surely would shower in the night time if
- 11:15Speaker 3: you're body lotioning. See, like, I can't imagine anything worse
- 11:19Speaker 3: same because you're all s.
- 11:21Speaker 4: Can you imagine putting on nice soft pajamas after lotioning
- 11:24Speaker 4: and trying to like pull them up your leg.
- 11:28Speaker 5: No, get into your sheets and you're like sliming, like
- 11:31Speaker 5: sticking to the I don't know, I wouldn't be not
- 11:33Speaker 5: an option.
- 11:34Speaker 3: Yeah, what time do you do it?
- 11:35Speaker 4: I don't know unless I'm going out and I'm putting
- 11:38Speaker 4: like some lotion on my legs or like your arms
- 11:40Speaker 4: or something. Because I want my skin to look nice after.
- 11:43Speaker 5: You know, then you do it after you get dressed already,
- 11:45Speaker 5: you don't get slime everywhere.
- 11:47Speaker 4: Nah, See this is not okay? Yeah, tell us what
- 11:50Speaker 4: the process is if you do do it, and what's
- 11:51Speaker 4: like the right process? Yes, and how do we find
- 11:54Speaker 4: out the right process exactly? Who's going to teach us?
- 11:58Speaker 3: It's crazy? Maybe body each person thing? Maybe?
- 12:02Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 12:03Speaker 4: All right, Well, if you guys have a very specific
- 12:06Speaker 4: question that you would like us to answer on the show,
- 12:08Speaker 4: quite clearly, we are open to anything, please, so send
- 12:12Speaker 4: them through. We cannot wait to read them. And the
- 12:14Speaker 4: more diabolic, all the better, I fear, absolutely please. Now
- 12:19Speaker 4: I feel a bit spoilt that I get to read
- 12:21Speaker 4: this week's money wins. It's been a real privilege to
- 12:24Speaker 4: hear what our community has been spending their money on
- 12:26Speaker 4: and celebrating and winning.
- 12:28Speaker 3: So let me dive straight in, sure, okay. First one
- 12:33Speaker 3: is from Milana.
- 12:34Speaker 5: So Alana has said that she's been eyeing off this
- 12:37Speaker 5: Kathman do long puffer coat for the longest time, right,
- 12:41Speaker 5: And I feel like this is something that we're all
- 12:43Speaker 5: doing heading into like the cooler season, Like we're all like, oh,
- 12:47Speaker 5: it's like, July, what the heck, like, we need a
- 12:49Speaker 5: new puffer anyway, She said that she couldn't justify it
- 12:53Speaker 5: because it was four hundred and ninety nine dollars and
- 12:55Speaker 5: ninety five cents okay.
- 12:58Speaker 4: Then it went on sale and she was like, oh,
- 13:00Speaker 4: I'm interested. Came down to two hundred and sixty nine
- 13:02Speaker 4: dollars yes, and then on the website she found a
- 13:05Speaker 4: ten percent off welcome coach. Yes, so that brings it
- 13:08Speaker 4: down to two hundred and forty two dollars and ten
- 13:11Speaker 4: cents okay. And then she had one hundred dollar birthday
- 13:14Speaker 4: voucher that she'd asked for because she really really wanted
- 13:16Speaker 4: this coach. Incredible, that brings it down to one hundred
- 13:19Speaker 4: and forty two dollars and ten cents. And so like,
- 13:22Speaker 4: we're getting there, rat, there's not more, Yes, there's one more.
- 13:25Speaker 4: And then she did shop back. So she did her
- 13:29Speaker 4: shop back app and received twenty six dollars and ninety
- 13:33Speaker 4: cents back, So that means that she paid a total
- 13:36Speaker 4: of one hundred and fifteen dollars and twenty cents. She said,
- 13:39Speaker 4: I'm very happy. I've already worn it four times and
- 13:41Speaker 4: I'm gonna wear it basically every day. Oh my god,
- 13:44Speaker 4: from five hundred bucks one hundred and fifteen yees, and.
- 13:47Speaker 3: She like sent us her photo. It's really cute and
- 13:49Speaker 3: it looks so warm. It does a very warm Yeah,
- 13:52Speaker 3: it's like a movie pink. Yeah, so chic.
- 13:55Speaker 4: Anyway, I thought that was really really cool, and the
- 13:57Speaker 4: fact that she like gave me the map just tickled
- 14:01Speaker 4: something in my brain. I agree, I agree, I loved it.
- 14:05Speaker 4: Not how you got there exactly. Our next one is
- 14:07Speaker 4: from a friend called Tara. She says, my mortgage will
- 14:10Speaker 4: have a one in front of the number that we
- 14:13Speaker 4: owe on it this payday. It's still obviously a large number,
- 14:17Speaker 4: but I cannot wait.
- 14:18Speaker 3: To see it drop. Oh my god, that's so exciting.
- 14:21Speaker 4: Also, is it bad that my immediate thought was like
- 14:24Speaker 4: a million or one hundred thousand? I know, same, That's
- 14:27Speaker 4: what I'm thinking, is that, Actually I'm going to assume
- 14:29Speaker 4: that she's only got one hundred thousand dollars left, because like,
- 14:32Speaker 4: in this economy, a million dollar mortgage makes me feel sick.
- 14:35Speaker 4: So about anyone's like.
- 14:36Speaker 5: Oh yay, unless she's gone from having a two million
- 14:39Speaker 5: dollar mortgage, true, at which point must be nice.
- 14:43Speaker 3: It must be nice. Must be nice. That is a
- 14:45Speaker 3: big drop though.
- 14:45Speaker 4: Okay, I've got another one from Bianca, and Bianca said,
- 14:49Speaker 4: I actually enter a lot of competitions online, which as
- 14:53Speaker 4: we know, Jest did recently and she won that face
- 14:56Speaker 4: mask that was like eight hundred bucks. And she says
- 14:58Speaker 4: that she finds them on Instagram and then surveys and
- 15:00Speaker 4: stuff from local shopping centers.
- 15:02Speaker 3: And she said, I recently thought I should check.
- 15:05Speaker 4: My emails and search the term one oh, just in
- 15:09Speaker 4: case I missed an email telling me that it won something. Well,
- 15:12Speaker 4: there was an email telling me that i'd want a
- 15:14Speaker 4: prize for filling out a survey from the local shopping center.
- 15:18Speaker 3: The prize was a one hundred dollars calls voucher.
- 15:21Speaker 4: I also did a focus group last year and I
- 15:23Speaker 4: still have the gift card voucher from that too, And
- 15:25Speaker 4: I have quite a lot of rewards points in my
- 15:28Speaker 4: tailstra account. So I'm going to buy another Woolworths gift card.
- 15:31Speaker 4: Oh my god, Okay, I can't something about it out.
- 15:33Speaker 3: I think we need to do this. That's crazy straight
- 15:35Speaker 3: after we and so good.
- 15:37Speaker 4: But also I think that if I saw one of
- 15:39Speaker 4: those emails come through, I'd just assume it was spam,
- 15:42Speaker 4: and like I never opened my email like stuff unless
- 15:44Speaker 4: it's like a work thing, I.
- 15:45Speaker 3: Know, like get in touch another way.
- 15:47Speaker 5: But also so that's not on them if you don't
- 15:50Speaker 5: want to look for the money you won, that's true.
- 15:52Speaker 5: I suppose that's true. And also you think it's spams
- 15:55Speaker 5: they called or texted, you.
- 15:56Speaker 4: Know, exactly? Yeah, okay, fair, all right, this one's from Jennifer.
- 16:00Speaker 4: I didn't even think of this as an option, so
- 16:02Speaker 4: I think it's a really good one. Jennifer said, I
- 16:05Speaker 4: was spending thirty bucks a week on takeaway coffee before work.
- 16:10Speaker 5: Okay, relatable, fair, I switched to the Hungry Jacks app.
- 16:15Speaker 5: Yes for the two dollars and seventy five cent coffee daily,
- 16:19Speaker 5: which means my coffee is now total thirteen dollars seventy
- 16:22Speaker 5: five and every five coffees is free.
- 16:26Speaker 4: Hell yeah, We'll still support my local cafe when I can,
- 16:30Speaker 4: but now I even get to have a drive through coffee.
- 16:33Speaker 4: Oh so she's saving money and not even have to
- 16:35Speaker 4: get out of the car.
- 16:36Speaker 3: Yeah, I know, that's amazing. Actually, that's actually incredible.
- 16:40Speaker 5: Like I didn't even think about Hungry Jacks when it
- 16:43Speaker 5: came though, Like in my head, I'm like takeaway coffee,
- 16:47Speaker 5: Like I said, you know fast food, right, Yes, I
- 16:49Speaker 5: go make cafe.
- 16:50Speaker 3: That's the only place that does coffee. Yeah, I wouldn't
- 16:54Speaker 3: even think about dollars seventy five for a coffee in
- 16:56Speaker 3: this economy. If it's good, though, you know what, it's
- 16:59Speaker 3: worth trying.
- 16:59Speaker 5: It's worth trying, and you know what, I think they
- 17:02Speaker 5: would have to be good because they have competition, like mcafe,
- 17:05Speaker 5: and I'm gonna lie I would say that I'm a
- 17:08Speaker 5: coffee snot because I just don't like a bad cup
- 17:10Speaker 5: of coffee, but I'm also not snobby about where it
- 17:13Speaker 5: comes from.
- 17:13Speaker 4: I love a seven to eleven coffee. I think McCafe
- 17:16Speaker 4: does a pretty good job. Agreed, Like, you can't complain. No,
- 17:20Speaker 4: that's so true, I can't complain.
- 17:22Speaker 3: And then this one.
- 17:22Speaker 4: I don't usually share the anonymous ones because like, I
- 17:26Speaker 4: love being able to chat to our community with their names,
- 17:30Speaker 4: but I thought this was really good. Our friend genuine
- 17:34Speaker 4: Grapefruit said name, I've been out of work for the
- 17:39Speaker 4: longest time. I just got a full time job. I'm
- 17:42Speaker 4: now going to be able to go back to saving
- 17:45Speaker 4: and investing and get out of debt.
- 17:47Speaker 3: Oh my god, amazing, isn't that so good? Amazing, so good?
- 17:50Speaker 5: And I feel like that's where we're going to leave
- 17:52Speaker 5: it this week because that's just good vibes and I
- 17:54Speaker 5: love that for everybody. Agreed, Miss Beck sayed, Yes, that
- 18:00Speaker 5: was a treat and I feel like the treats are
- 18:02Speaker 5: going to continue because you've got some broke tips for me.
- 18:04Speaker 3: I do, I certainly do.
- 18:06Speaker 5: OK, what are your sweet sweet broke tips this week?
- 18:08Speaker 5: So this first one comes from Medisine, who says I
- 18:10Speaker 5: save my clothes and socks that have holes to then
- 18:12Speaker 5: cut them up and uses rags for things like working
- 18:15Speaker 5: on the car and misk dirty jobs around the home.
- 18:18Speaker 5: Buying a bag of rags to do the same thing,
- 18:20Speaker 5: it's twenty five bucks. So I think that's such a
- 18:23Speaker 5: good idea. There are times when you're like I need
- 18:25Speaker 5: something gross, yeah, but not too gross to clean this
- 18:29Speaker 5: one random thing, like the oil stick in your car
- 18:31Speaker 5: when you're checking your oil. It's like, what do you
- 18:34Speaker 5: use here? You don't want to use something like a tissue.
- 18:36Speaker 5: I always use a tissue, but something like this where
- 18:39Speaker 5: it's just like a dirty old rag. Yeah, fantastic idea.
- 18:43Speaker 5: And then this one comes from Sus who says, I
- 18:45Speaker 5: use today Ticks, and I have mentioned Promatics before, but
- 18:47Speaker 5: never Today Ticks. Use Today Ticks to get theater tickets
- 18:51Speaker 5: fifty five dollars each for one hundred and sixty nine
- 18:53Speaker 5: dollars tickets.
- 18:54Speaker 3: Someone else got two.
- 18:55Speaker 5: Tickets to Mulin Rouge for thirty dollars each and they're
- 18:58Speaker 5: usually two hundred and ninety dollars. And so today Ticks
- 19:01Speaker 5: is basically where you can access limited time offers on
- 19:04Speaker 5: premiere or premiere or Premier.
- 19:08Speaker 3: I couldn't help you.
- 19:10Speaker 5: I can't understand what I'm but I think people know
- 19:13Speaker 5: that you guys know performance with today Ticks, so it's
- 19:15Speaker 5: like limited time. It could be like same day tickets
- 19:18Speaker 5: or like very short notice tickets where you can just
- 19:20Speaker 5: get like cheap things. And don't get that confused with Promotics,
- 19:24Speaker 5: which is a different website where you can get cheap
- 19:28Speaker 5: tickets for reasons unknown.
- 19:30Speaker 3: I love that. What's your broke tip?
- 19:32Speaker 5: And my one, well, it's probably a little bit silly,
- 19:35Speaker 5: but I was without job for a little while the
- 19:37Speaker 5: start of Y and I was just thinking how did
- 19:39Speaker 5: I get through that? And I remember I asked all
- 19:41Speaker 5: of my friends, like if I could do all their
- 19:43Speaker 5: little annoying jobs, and you'd be surprised if you just
- 19:46Speaker 5: like reached out to people in your neighborhood. I was
- 19:48Speaker 5: paid nine dollars to change my friend's bed sheets, and
- 19:51Speaker 5: it's paid thirty dollars an hour to clean my friend's room.
- 19:55Speaker 4: And so just like have a look around and seek
- 19:58Speaker 4: an hour to clean someone else's room.
- 19:59Speaker 3: Good, that would be a fun time.
- 20:01Speaker 5: I took my goddamn time with it, that's for sure,
- 20:03Speaker 5: because I really wanted to stretch this money. I think
- 20:06Speaker 5: like when I do have a job, I'm like, hell yeah,
- 20:08Speaker 5: I pay for someone like twenty bucks to go do
- 20:10Speaker 5: my laundry for me. And if you don't have a job,
- 20:12Speaker 5: then hell yeah, you'd go do someone's laundry for them
- 20:15Speaker 5: for twenty.
- 20:16Speaker 3: Did you ever get on air Tasker?
- 20:17Speaker 5: I tried to go on air Taskar, but it is
- 20:19Speaker 5: scarier when you don't know that person you know, true,
- 20:23Speaker 5: And I think that when there's this level of professionalism
- 20:25Speaker 5: that you have to uphold when you're like, hey, I'm
- 20:26Speaker 5: just like a regular person trying to make a buck.
- 20:29Speaker 5: That's what I found on air Tasker, and I've been
- 20:31Speaker 5: using air Tasker a fair bit recently, just for like
- 20:34Speaker 5: jobs around my house that I need doing.
- 20:36Speaker 3: True, true, trying to Like I kind of like it
- 20:38Speaker 3: that a regular person turns up and it's not like
- 20:41Speaker 3: a yeah no, like I have now made friends with
- 20:44Speaker 3: one of them. It's so cute.
- 20:46Speaker 5: True. Well, that's a great addition to this is that like, yeah,
- 20:49Speaker 5: jump on air task beause if anyone needs some little
- 20:51Speaker 5: bits and bobs.
- 20:52Speaker 4: Yeah, like and you can just like get a profile.
- 20:54Speaker 4: And this is not promo, by the way. I just
- 20:56Speaker 4: thought it was really cool because I was thinking fire out.
- 20:59Speaker 4: Did Beck try that? Because you don't have to like
- 21:02Speaker 4: accept any of the jobs. You can just look at
- 21:04Speaker 4: what's available. And like, obviously I'm not going to go
- 21:06Speaker 4: into some random person's house and change their sheets like
- 21:08Speaker 4: that would not you know, that would not make me
- 21:10Speaker 4: feel comfortable if I didn't know them. But like if
- 21:13Speaker 4: they need an errand done or like, can you pick
- 21:15Speaker 4: this up for me from KMA or something, Yeah, yeah,
- 21:18Speaker 4: I'll do that and drop it at your front door.
- 21:20Speaker 3: I don't worry. What a good deal? What a good deal?
- 21:23Speaker 5: All right?
- 21:23Speaker 4: Well, I hope that Beck's Little Broke Tips section reminded
- 21:26Speaker 4: you that it does pay to be a little bit
- 21:28Speaker 4: more curious and a little bit out there now, maybe
- 21:31Speaker 4: a little bit more proactive in the ways that you
- 21:33Speaker 4: spend and make money, because you never know what savings
- 21:36Speaker 4: you could literally make along the way. Let's take a
- 21:39Speaker 4: really quick break, because when we return, it is time
- 21:41Speaker 4: for our money dilemma. All right, my friends, it is
- 21:48Speaker 4: time to tune into this week's money dilemma. And you're
- 21:50Speaker 4: not going to be surprised. It goes exactly like this.
- 21:56Speaker 5: Hi. There, have you got a money dilemma you just
- 21:58Speaker 5: can't solve the She He's on the Money team is
- 22:01Speaker 5: here to help. Every week we tackle your dilemmas, both
- 22:04Speaker 5: big and small, to answer your most burning money, career

- 22:10Speaker 5: website and leave us a short voice recording and you
- 22:12Speaker 5: might just find yourself on the show.
- 22:14Speaker 3: Now, let's take a listen to this week's money dilemma.
- 22:19Speaker 2: Hi, She's on the Money Team. I have a dilemma.
- 22:21Speaker 2: I'm twenty six and I'm working part time as a
- 22:24Speaker 2: contractor as a sole trader, and I'm also studying. I
- 22:29Speaker 2: took some time out of the workforce to care for
- 22:31Speaker 2: my dad, who was really unwell and he's since passed away.
- 22:34Speaker 2: He left me a small inheritance and I'm not sure
- 22:37Speaker 2: what to do with it. I have sixty thousand dollars
- 22:39Speaker 2: in savings. I would like to buy a house in
- 22:42Speaker 2: the next few years, and my super is a little
- 22:45Speaker 2: below average, basically because I took some time out of
- 22:49Speaker 2: the workforce. He's left me thirty five thousand dollars in
- 22:52Speaker 2: Telstra shares and about seventeen thousand dollars in cash. Where
- 22:57Speaker 2: should I put my money from the inheritance to make
- 23:00Speaker 2: my dad proud? Thank you?
- 23:02Speaker 5: Stop.
- 23:04Speaker 3: I was already crying at the start of this episode.
- 23:06Speaker 5: And then at the end of that I was like, okay, inheritance,
- 23:08Speaker 5: I can deal with that, and she's like, where can
- 23:10Speaker 5: I put this money to make my dad proud?
- 23:12Speaker 2: Oh?
- 23:13Speaker 3: I'm so so sorry for You're lost by the way.
- 23:15Speaker 5: That's but also what a human So you took time
- 23:18Speaker 5: out to look after your dad because he wasn't well.
- 23:22Speaker 5: Oh my goodness, Like, I hope if I'm not well,
- 23:24Speaker 5: I'm surrounded by people who.
- 23:26Speaker 3: Want to do that for me. Is that a bad
- 23:28Speaker 3: thing to wish? Like He's I don't know. It just
- 23:30Speaker 3: feels like really wholesome and you just sound like a
- 23:33Speaker 3: good human. Beck, What would you do.
- 23:35Speaker 5: When she's mentioned super My immediate thought was like, oh,
- 23:39Speaker 5: that's probably a good thing to like saw some money
- 23:42Speaker 5: into just burst up a little bit, and so you
- 23:44Speaker 5: like make sure you're on the right track.
- 23:45Speaker 3: What if that looks like for your specific goals.
- 23:49Speaker 5: But I also am thinking, because she wants to buy
- 23:52Speaker 5: a house maybe or property soon, then putting money into
- 23:57Speaker 5: shares maybe not the best Lady. If it's like within
- 24:00Speaker 5: the next couple of years you're wanting to buy a property,
- 24:03Speaker 5: you'd want to put that money somewhere where you can
- 24:05Speaker 5: still access it and it's not too like volatile. Maybe
- 24:10Speaker 5: is there still that super saver first host Home Super
- 24:13Speaker 5: Saviors scheme First Home super super Saviors Queen, I'd probably
- 24:17Speaker 5: put the seventeen in that. I'd maybe leave the shares
- 24:20Speaker 5: if I smart idea, you know, put the seventeen. I
- 24:24Speaker 5: feel so happy, ibew, Is this what you think is
- 24:26Speaker 5: a good idea? No, I hadn't even thought of it.
- 24:28Speaker 4: But that's a pretty good idea. That's a good suggestion. Incredible,
- 24:31Speaker 4: especially if you said, like I want to, you know,
- 24:34Speaker 4: buy property. Putting seventeen grand through the first Home super
- 24:38Speaker 4: Savior scheme, you'd only be able to do fifteen thousand
- 24:41Speaker 4: dollars this financial year, and then you'd be able to
- 24:43Speaker 4: do the rest next financial year. But by that time
- 24:45Speaker 4: you might have some more savings that you could put in.
- 24:47Speaker 4: But essentially you'll get like some tax back on that
- 24:50Speaker 4: money because it was a contribution that you made post tax.
- 24:54Speaker 4: That means that that money's going to go further. And like,
- 24:57Speaker 4: I don't know the most important thing to you, I
- 25:00Speaker 4: was making your dad proud, and like you probably told
- 25:03Speaker 4: him that you were saving for a home and he
- 25:05Speaker 4: was just like super stoked to help you get there.
- 25:07Speaker 4: Like that's gonna like turbo charge that.
- 25:09Speaker 5: But even just like you sound like a person who
- 25:11Speaker 5: who would be proud of anyway, Like you took time
- 25:13Speaker 5: off work, take care of him, Like you whatever you
- 25:16Speaker 5: do with this, even if you treated yourself to a
- 25:19Speaker 5: wild adventure.
- 25:20Speaker 4: Yeah, he's going to be proud of you. Yeah, regardless
- 25:23Speaker 4: of what you did with the money. To be honest,
- 25:24Speaker 4: absolutely that's dad vibe. And I feel like the way
- 25:27Speaker 4: you're speaking about him in that voice, note I was like,
- 25:29Speaker 4: oh you had a really good You wasn't just like oh,
- 25:31Speaker 4: I had to look after my dad, Like, yeah, you
- 25:33Speaker 4: clearly had a really good close relationship with him, So
- 25:36Speaker 4: my queen like, you could probably frivolously spend all of
- 25:39Speaker 4: it and he's probably still there being like.
- 25:40Speaker 3: Yeah, queen, go, I love that for you.
- 25:42Speaker 5: Really.
- 25:43Speaker 4: I have done episodes on inheritance before and showing it
- 25:46Speaker 4: the respect that I think it deserves, so I would
- 25:48Speaker 4: go and listen to those. But it sounds like you're
- 25:51Speaker 4: well on the way. I would have a look at
- 25:53Speaker 4: your super especially because it is behind because of those
- 25:56Speaker 4: caring duties. Like I don't know, this is just personal opinion,
- 25:59Speaker 4: but I don't think your dad would want to see
- 26:02Speaker 4: you behind because of that time that you took out.
- 26:05Speaker 4: So maybe doing a little bit of a top up
- 26:07Speaker 4: there is not the worst thing. Maybe getting a little
- 26:09Speaker 4: bit of advice and chatting to some people on those
- 26:11Speaker 4: shares is a good idea, because I don't know when
- 26:14Speaker 4: they were purchased. You would have some capital gains issues
- 26:17Speaker 4: if you did sell them, and that is maybe something
- 26:21Speaker 4: you don't want. So maybe that thirty five thousand dollars
- 26:23Speaker 4: Intelstra shares is like the start of your investment portfolio,
- 26:26Speaker 4: and we leave that there and then we keep contributing
- 26:28Speaker 4: and then you know, you reach financial freedom. Like that's
- 26:31Speaker 4: a pretty cool thing to achieve. So yeah, I think
- 26:34Speaker 4: it's just about sitting down and like maybe mapping out
- 26:37Speaker 4: all the options you have.
- 26:39Speaker 3: Not hey, Beck, what do you want to do with this?
- 26:41Speaker 3: But more hey what could you do?
- 26:43Speaker 4: Oh? I could take around the world scrip or I
- 26:45Speaker 4: could put it on my super I could do this,
- 26:47Speaker 4: like write them all down. It's like when you see
- 26:49Speaker 4: it in front of you, it's so much easier to
- 26:51Speaker 4: be like, oh, actually i'm crossing that off the list.
- 26:53Speaker 3: That's not as important. Oh I'm crossing that off. Do
- 26:55Speaker 3: you know what I mean?
- 26:56Speaker 4: Like to a little list moment, and that could help
- 26:58Speaker 4: you see it. Sometimes we need the visual exactly. But
- 27:02Speaker 4: that's what I would be saying.
- 27:03Speaker 3: But yeah, I think what if you do? I think
- 27:06Speaker 3: your dad'll be very proud. Yeah, and I'm just a
- 27:08Speaker 3: bit sad, like I'm sorry, Yeah, that sounds really trash.
- 27:12Speaker 5: I know you'd give it all back to have your
- 27:14Speaker 5: dad back. So anyway, so let's move on. I feel like, well,
- 27:18Speaker 5: that dilemma was about you building your future. We got
- 27:21Speaker 5: a DM and it concerns the past. It I think
- 27:25Speaker 5: is quite concerning. So he community member wrote into us
- 27:29Speaker 5: and said, Hi, she's on the money. I have a
- 27:31Speaker 5: finance issue that I'd love to be unpacked or to
- 27:34Speaker 5: be pointed to an episode where you maybe.
- 27:36Speaker 3: Have discussed this before.
- 27:38Speaker 4: I've been with the same employer for nineteen years and
- 27:42Speaker 4: have had the same super with income protection since then. Recently,
- 27:47Speaker 4: I was made aware that my income wasn't being updated
- 27:49Speaker 4: in line with my twice yearly pay rises and promotions
- 27:53Speaker 4: over the years, and was listed as sixty three thousand
- 27:57Speaker 4: dollars when I now earn one hundred and forty five
- 28:00Speaker 4: thousand dollars. So when she's saying that she's talking about
- 28:02Speaker 4: how much income she earns for her insurance, gotcha. I
- 28:06Speaker 4: have tried to update it, but I have been subjected
- 28:08Speaker 4: to a mountain of forms, signing a medical release and
- 28:12Speaker 4: even an in home medical exam. This morning, I was
- 28:15Speaker 4: told they won't increase my listed income because your quote, height, weight,
- 28:19Speaker 4: and your medical history deems you too much of a risk.
- 28:22Speaker 4: I feel sick about this, not being able to protect
- 28:25Speaker 4: myself financially. What avenues can a person take in a
- 28:29Speaker 4: situation to actually have protection? Any advice is so much appreciated.
- 28:35Speaker 5: It's a really tricky one. My first law is like
- 28:37Speaker 5: you're probably paying less premium. So when you update, you
- 28:42Speaker 5: just like don't worry about the past, just like update
- 28:44Speaker 5: your income.
- 28:45Speaker 3: And then now I realize it. It's like it's quite
- 28:47Speaker 3: a process.
- 28:47Speaker 5: But I don't really know with like I'm like income
- 28:51Speaker 5: protection or is what I'm assuming for this particular insurance.
- 28:55Speaker 5: So they need to like, you know, match or at
- 28:57Speaker 5: least you like eighty percent of your current income. Know
- 29:00Speaker 5: if the worst was to happen in touch, would I
- 29:02Speaker 5: don't know enough about it to be like, do they
- 29:04Speaker 5: have to like is that just like a default that
- 29:06Speaker 5: they keep up to date with your current salary or you.
- 29:11Speaker 3: Have to update them? Is it your job, your responsibility?
- 29:14Speaker 4: Okay, Well they don't have a financial advisor on this,
- 29:18Speaker 4: so it's nobody's responsibility. But this okay, And so if
- 29:21Speaker 4: they did it earlier, then maybe it would have been Yeah,
- 29:23Speaker 4: maybe you could have stepped it up without because it's
- 29:27Speaker 4: such a big step the insurer really wants to go. Okay, well,
- 29:30Speaker 4: let's assess the situation. What I would say in this
- 29:33Speaker 4: particular circumstance is that's just with one company, Like please
- 29:38Speaker 4: go get financial advice. Like I'm not being paid to
- 29:40Speaker 4: say this right now, but go and speak to sky Wealth,
- 29:44Speaker 4: like they are phenomenal at what they do, and sky
- 29:48Speaker 4: Wealth are not just going to look at that one company,
- 29:50Speaker 4: but every company on the market and go, Okay, well,
- 29:54Speaker 4: clearly you've got a like a height and wait, like
- 29:57Speaker 4: I don't want to say issue, but like when it
- 29:59Speaker 4: comes to ensue, that is an issue I don't like.
- 30:02Speaker 4: From me personally, I think it's an absolute junk thing
- 30:05Speaker 4: to consider because somebody's BMI. From my perspective, they could
- 30:09Speaker 4: be the fittest person in the world and have a
- 30:12Speaker 4: really high BMI and then somebody who's anyway. I think
- 30:15Speaker 4: it's the dumbest thing ever. Yeah, but it is something
- 30:19Speaker 4: that insurers care about. Different insurers have different BMI margins,
- 30:25Speaker 4: They look at different things, They take things into consideration.
- 30:28Speaker 4: Go and talk to sky Wealth, tell them what you've
- 30:31Speaker 4: been through, and they can reassess all of it and
- 30:33Speaker 4: make sure that you get the right cover because just
- 30:36Speaker 4: because one company has declined you does not mean you
- 30:39Speaker 4: can't get another company to cover you and another situation
- 30:42Speaker 4: to arise. And I just I feel like that was
- 30:45Speaker 4: very arduous for a company that you don't even know
- 30:49Speaker 4: if you want to stick with, if that makes sense,
- 30:51Speaker 4: Like I would have just go back to the drawing
- 30:53Speaker 4: board be like, okay, cool, I'll talk to an advisor
- 30:56Speaker 4: and have all of this sorted out. But thankfully it's
- 30:59Speaker 4: not end of the world, because there are lots of
- 31:02Speaker 4: insurers out there. But also it's phenomenal that you already
- 31:06Speaker 4: have that cover because if there are some like and
- 31:09Speaker 4: obviously I don't know your situation, but you said your
- 31:11Speaker 4: medical history deems you too much of a risk, Like
- 31:15Speaker 4: maybe you genuinely and I don't want to scare you,
- 31:17Speaker 4: maybe you aren't insurable, but you already have a sixty
- 31:20Speaker 4: three thousand dollars policy true, which.
- 31:22Speaker 3: Is now gold.
- 31:23Speaker 4: We're not going to get rid of that, like we're
- 31:26Speaker 4: going to look at what else we could supplement with.
- 31:28Speaker 4: And I think that that's actually a really good situation, stressful,
- 31:31Speaker 4: but good situation.
- 31:32Speaker 5: To be in. Absolutely, that's a great way to look
- 31:34Speaker 5: at it.
- 31:35Speaker 4: Anyway, that's where I would go with it and just
- 31:37Speaker 4: go get a professional to look at it. Unlike every
- 31:39Speaker 4: other situation, no doesn't mean no, yeah yeah exactly, So
- 31:44Speaker 4: I just I think it's really important to just get
- 31:46Speaker 4: somebody who knows their stuff and can go, oh well, actually,
- 31:50Speaker 4: in this situation over here would be your best option.
- 31:53Speaker 3: Yeah, no, that's great, And what did the rest of
- 31:55Speaker 3: the community have to say?
- 31:56Speaker 5: So?
- 31:56Speaker 4: The first question I asked the community was have you
- 32:00Speaker 4: ever reviewed your income protection insurance?
- 32:02Speaker 3: This the one makes me mad? Okay.
- 32:05Speaker 5: Only fourteen percent of you said yes regularly, guys, come on,
- 32:09Speaker 5: come on, but I will.
- 32:11Speaker 4: Twenty two percent of you said yeah, I did it once. Okay,
- 32:14Speaker 4: that's good, We're getting you better. But then sixty four
- 32:17Speaker 4: percent of you said no, never. Australia is literally the
- 32:22Speaker 4: most underinsured country in the world.
- 32:24Speaker 3: That's wild.
- 32:26Speaker 4: Don't let us be also underinsured? Like, get it together anyway.
- 32:31Speaker 4: The next question I asked was how confident are you
- 32:34Speaker 4: that your insurance cover matches your current circumstances. Sixteen percent
- 32:38Speaker 4: of you said very confident. Okay, that's not many.
- 32:42Speaker 5: Twenty nine percent of you said I think I'm somewhere
- 32:45Speaker 5: in the middle, and then fifty five percent of you
- 32:46Speaker 5: said I'm not confident at all.
- 32:48Speaker 3: Okay, that's okay. Never too late.
- 32:49Speaker 4: This is becoming an entire ad for Sky Wealth. I'm
- 32:52Speaker 4: gonna call them up later. And be like, you need
- 32:54Speaker 4: to pay me because all I did was talk really good.
- 32:57Speaker 3: Things about you. But you guys need a call Sky anyway.
- 33:01Speaker 4: Then I asked, before today, did you know your income
- 33:03Speaker 4: protection cover might not actually automatically increase with your salary?
- 33:07Speaker 3: Right? Yes?
- 33:08Speaker 4: And seventy two percent of you said no. Oh god,
- 33:12Speaker 4: So most of us apparently don't know that that's a thing.
- 33:14Speaker 4: And that's okay. But that's why I've been on my
- 33:18Speaker 4: high horse and my friend box and I've been yelling,
- 33:21Speaker 4: please review your insurances regularly.
- 33:24Speaker 3: Anyway.
- 33:24Speaker 4: Then I went and said, what's your two cents? Most
- 33:27Speaker 4: of the comments said go through a financial advisor. Another
- 33:30Speaker 4: person said I'm just a girl and I have the
- 33:32Speaker 4: same questions. Another person said send help. This is also me.
- 33:36Speaker 3: I love this.
- 33:37Speaker 4: We're all in this together like we're in a sinking ship,
- 33:40Speaker 4: but we're singing, you know exactly. Someone commented, Sky Wealth,
- 33:44Speaker 4: have you not been listening.
- 33:45Speaker 3: To Victoria, I've created a cult, gordo it.
- 33:49Speaker 4: Someone else said I wouldn't let this go and then
- 33:51Speaker 4: I would look at other super companies and seek some advice.
- 33:55Speaker 4: I'd be like a dog with a bone. But they
- 33:57Speaker 4: did that in emojis which I really appreciate. Someone else said,
- 34:01Speaker 4: I became uninsurable at twenty two, and then she did
- 34:04Speaker 4: the nail painting emoji. Oh the hell, well, it happens. Unfortunately,
- 34:09Speaker 4: she's clearly being facetious. She said, I'm just doing my
- 34:12Speaker 4: best to set everything else up financially. So maybe it's
- 34:15Speaker 4: not just about insurance but having a solid income stream.
- 34:19Speaker 3: Yes, very true.
- 34:20Speaker 4: Someone else said, same situation, and I really can't afford
- 34:23Speaker 4: to change it. It's an absolute joke. Another person said,
- 34:27Speaker 4: due to my health issues, I'm unable to increase mine
- 34:29Speaker 4: and the stress it's causing me is insane. And someone
- 34:33Speaker 4: else said, I've definitely learned something today. I didn't even
- 34:36Speaker 4: know that was a thing. I'm running to my insurances now.
- 34:38Speaker 3: Oh my god.
- 34:39Speaker 5: I wonder how much like panic that set off in
- 34:41Speaker 5: people when like reading that.
- 34:43Speaker 3: But no, I don't want to panic you.
- 34:45Speaker 4: But then the last comment that I want to share
- 34:48Speaker 4: was like, thank god to she's on the money. I've
- 34:50Speaker 4: reviewed all of my insurances and I increased my income protection.
- 34:54Speaker 3: Oh incredible.
- 34:55Speaker 5: I love this for you, But don't feel bad if
- 34:57Speaker 5: you're like, oh, I'm uninsurable now or I can't get
- 34:59Speaker 5: it now. Just know that they're maybe from the moment
- 35:02Speaker 5: your salary increased you couldn't have. Yeah, don't think about
- 35:06Speaker 5: like what if just be where you are yep.
- 35:09Speaker 4: And if you've been through that situation and you've been
- 35:12Speaker 4: told we'll actually no, you can't increase your insurance or
- 35:15Speaker 4: you are uninsurable, the first thing I would be doing
- 35:18Speaker 4: is going and getting financial advice and talking to an
- 35:21Speaker 4: insurance specific financial advisor to be like, what are my options?
- 35:26Speaker 4: Because they're going to be like a dog with a
- 35:28Speaker 4: bone and be like this is a game to them.
- 35:30Speaker 4: They're going to go great, no worries, shitty situation, How
- 35:33Speaker 4: can I help you?
- 35:34Speaker 5: For sure?
- 35:34Speaker 4: They're going to get you out of that situation ideally,
- 35:37Speaker 4: and if they can't, they're going to help you create
- 35:39Speaker 4: a plan to be like all right, well Beck, we
- 35:41Speaker 4: can't insure you for this, and this here's the outcome
- 35:44Speaker 4: that we should be working towards to make sure you're
- 35:46Speaker 4: in the best possible position for sure which money and
- 35:49Speaker 4: life win that's going to alleviate your stress. All Right,
- 35:52Speaker 4: my friends, I think that is all we have time
- 35:54Speaker 4: for today, but we'll be back with a fresh new
- 35:56Speaker 4: week tomorrow with a money diary for you to sink
- 35:59Speaker 4: your teeth into.
