- 0:30SPEAKER_00: You'll hear mixed full episodes for me and interviews with school-driven leaders, the best in their field, who live what they teach and rise by example.
- 0:39SPEAKER_00: Each conversation is a callus for your next breakthrough.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: You're not broken, you're breaking through.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: Let's go ahead and rise together.
- 0:49SPEAKER_01: Welcome back to the Rise of the Need Up podcast.
- 0:52SPEAKER_01: If you've been here for a while, I want to go ahead and thank you for walking this journey and the path with me.
- 1:01SPEAKER_01: But if you're new here and this is your first time listening, I just want you to know you didn't land here by accident.
- 1:14SPEAKER_01: Before we speak about time and years or intention, I want to take a moment for us to arrive.
- 1:22SPEAKER_01: So wherever you are right now, take a deep breath in through the nose, and a long slow exhale through the mouth.
- 1:35SPEAKER_01: And let the breath drop into your belly.
- 1:38SPEAKER_01: Let your shoulders soften, let your jaw clench.
- 1:43SPEAKER_01: Yes, I'm calling that out.
- 1:46SPEAKER_01: You don't need to do anything here.
- 1:48SPEAKER_01: You don't need to improve yourself in this moment.
- 1:52SPEAKER_01: We are closing the final days of 2025 and stepping into the very first breaths of 2026.
- 1:58SPEAKER_01: And transitions like this, whether we name them or not, are actually felt in the body, sometimes as excitement, sometimes as fatigue, sometimes as quiet ache we can't name.
- 2:11SPEAKER_01: So instead of asking you what you want to accomplish in this next year, I want to ask you something a little slower.
- 2:19SPEAKER_02: Where have you been leaving yourself behind?
- 2:26SPEAKER_01: Self-abandonment always isn't dramatic.
- 2:31SPEAKER_01: It doesn't always look like burnout or breakdown.
- 2:35SPEAKER_01: Often it's subtle.
- 2:36SPEAKER_01: It's staying in conversations that drain you.
- 2:40SPEAKER_01: Because you don't want to disappoint them.
- 2:43SPEAKER_01: It's pushing your body past its limits and calling it discipline.
- 2:47SPEAKER_01: It's silencing your truth because it feels easier than being misunderstood, or from my personal experience, you think it's a way of keeping your peace.
- 3:01SPEAKER_01: Especially if you're conflict-avoidant, that might be a big one for you.
- 3:06SPEAKER_01: But many of us have learned early that our needs were inconvenient, our emotions were too much, or our sensitivity made life a little harder.
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: So we've adapted.
- 3:37SPEAKER_01: But resilience without self-connection eventually becomes disconnection.
- 3:42SPEAKER_01: And disconnection always shows up in your body, in your relationships, and the way life starts to feel heavy.
- 3:49SPEAKER_01: Nothing is wrong with you.
- 3:51SPEAKER_01: You've learned how to survive.
- 3:53SPEAKER_01: And now your body is asking for something a little different.
- 3:59SPEAKER_01: So I want to share this gently.
- 4:02SPEAKER_01: There was honestly a moment, many moments in my own life, where I realized I was listening to everyone else before I listened to myself.
- 4:12SPEAKER_01: And I don't know if you've ever been in that place where I could feel something wasn't aligned, but I would override it with logic.
- 4:20SPEAKER_01: I could sense it when my body needed rest, but I would keep going.
- 4:24SPEAKER_01: And I told myself it was growth.
- 4:27SPEAKER_01: I told myself it was strength.
- 4:28SPEAKER_01: But underneath it, there was this quiet exhaustion building up that no matter how much sleep you get will not fix.
- 4:37SPEAKER_01: Because I was so disconnected from my own truth and from living what I wanted to live.
- 4:47SPEAKER_01: And if we're being honest, a lot of people pleasing patterns that I was living other people's stories.
- 4:59SPEAKER_02: So it became this game of betraying my own signals.
- 5:11SPEAKER_01: And the turning point for me wasn't exactly dramatic.
- 5:16SPEAKER_01: It became a simple question that kept coming over and over.
- 5:22SPEAKER_01: What happens if I stop leaving myself here?
- 5:26SPEAKER_01: What happens if I pause when my body asks?
- 5:30SPEAKER_01: Earlier in this year, many of you know I took a fallen Sedona.
- 5:36SPEAKER_01: And it was this beautiful spiritual trip that I hadn't planned.
- 5:41SPEAKER_01: And I had operated it much like how I was operating a lot of life, which was a checklist.
- 5:50SPEAKER_01: I had so many things I wanted to do, and I thought I would manifest this beautiful trip.
- 5:59SPEAKER_01: That was gonna be the next quantum leap in my little journey of my spirituality.
- 6:07SPEAKER_01: But I was not taking a moment to pause, and I took a fall, and that fall created a false forced pause.
- 6:20SPEAKER_01: So here I am months later, barely recovered and going to the gym again, because I was not taking the time to slow down.
- 6:32SPEAKER_01: So the question became, what happens if I stop leaving myself here?
- 6:39SPEAKER_01: What happens if I actually take the time to pause when my body asks?
- 6:45SPEAKER_01: Because I realized also in that moment, had I listened to the amount of times I wanted to pause, I probably wouldn't have ended up injured.
- 6:58SPEAKER_01: What happens if I speak when my voice trembles?
- 7:02SPEAKER_01: And I say what I need to say even when I'm scared.
- 7:10SPEAKER_01: What happens if I choose honesty over keeping peace?
- 7:16SPEAKER_01: These questions started to change the way I live.
- 7:19SPEAKER_01: Not overnight, but consistently.
- 7:23SPEAKER_01: And the more I stayed present, the less I needed to force anything.
- 7:31SPEAKER_01: So as we step into 2026, I don't really feel the energy of reinvention.
- 7:39SPEAKER_01: I feel more of the energy of what I call a return.
- 7:45SPEAKER_01: It's a continuous return to the body, a return to truth, a return to self-trust, a return to my own essence.
- 7:57SPEAKER_01: So the zero doesn't have to ask you to try harder.
- 8:02SPEAKER_01: It's actually asking you to notice sooner.
- 8:06SPEAKER_01: To pay attention when something feels off.
- 8:09SPEAKER_01: To notice when your body tightens, whether that's your throat, a feeling in your gut, to notice when you're saying yes out of habit and not desire.
- 8:23SPEAKER_01: Because the life you're building cannot be sustained if it requires you to disappear from it.
- 8:49SPEAKER_01: Which brings me to why the next conversation after this matters.
- 8:55SPEAKER_01: On January 1st, I'm releasing a special edition episode where I sat down with my dear friend Craig Seole for a conversation around manifestation and Kabbalah, and we talk all about embodiment.
- 9:11SPEAKER_01: And what I appreciate about that conversation is that it doesn't skip the human experience.
- 9:18SPEAKER_01: We talk about ego and just the way around the human journey, the soul's experience as a human, to manifesting and embodying that next level as a way of something to live from.
- 9:41SPEAKER_01: Because if you've ever felt like growth required you to override your self, this episode is going to offer you a new lens.
- 9:52SPEAKER_01: Before we close out, I want you to take one more breath with me.
- 9:59SPEAKER_01: Inhale through the nose and exhale slowly through the mouth.
- 10:09SPEAKER_01: And just ask yourself without judgment, where do I need leave?
- 10:15SPEAKER_01: Where do I leave myself most often?
- 10:19SPEAKER_01: And what would it look like to stay just a little longer?
- 10:24SPEAKER_01: Because you don't need a new version of you.
- 10:27SPEAKER_01: You need your own presence, you need to remind yourself of your own essence, and you need to come home to yourself.
- 10:36SPEAKER_01: 2026 does not require your self-sacrifice.
- 10:48SPEAKER_01: So welcome to the year, you, me, and all the fellow ladies listening to the stop abandoning ourselves.

- 11:44SPEAKER_02: You're already stepping into alignment.
