As someone who has employed hundreds of people, trained thousands, coached a bunch, lectured at University and answered more questions than I can remember, I can say with some confidence that people love to receive feedback - as long as it's feedback they love. Let's just say that the claim "I love getting feedback" is often not supported in the real world, with real feedback.
