mental illness and had struggled in the weeks before his arrest

with a change in his medication to other people familiar with

his health told The New York Times on the condition of

anonymity to discuss sensitive medical information.

If they're healthcare providers, then they would be breaking the

You have to be pretty severe to be placed on a mental health

conservatorship in California, said Lee Bloom and a lawyer with

expertise on such cases. All of the people who come into

the system, a very small group of people, actually get placed

on conservatorship. OK, so I I I looked up what

conservatorship this actually is from.

The Santa Clara Superior Court's website talks about what an LP's

is. A mental health conservatorship

makes one adult, called the conservator, responsible for a

mentally ill adult called the conservatee.

These conservatorships are only for adults with mental illnesses

listed in the Diagnostic and Statistic Manual of Mental

The most common illnesses are serious biological brain

some sort of psychotic episode, attacked an elderly couple.

man the the male victim. The female victim handed the

male victim a gun to protect themselves, and the perpetrator

wrestled that gun away from him. A former Marine don't come after
