- 0:05Speaker 1: Apodjay Production. Welcome to the She Rises Podcast. I'm Ashley
- 0:13Speaker 1: and I'm Tiana.
- 0:14Speaker 2: This podcast is about female empowerment and encouraging you to
- 0:17Speaker 2: be your biggest, boldest, and most authentic version of yourself.
- 0:20Speaker 1: We help you shed the shame growth a new level.
- 0:23Speaker 1: We're gonna laugh, cry, and talk about the topics everyone
- 0:26Speaker 1: else is too afraid to talk about.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Get ready for your next level of self. Hello, and
- 0:31Speaker 2: welcome back to another episode of She Rises.
- 0:33Speaker 1: I'm Tiana and I'm Ashley. Thank you for joining us.
- 0:36Speaker 2: It's an absolute pleasure to have you here and wherever
- 0:39Speaker 2: it is that you are in the world, plugging in
- 0:40Speaker 2: from morning, evening or afternoon. We have an episode all
- 0:44Speaker 2: about growth. Now. At the moment, we've been having really
- 0:47Speaker 2: big conversations around what we're doing, how we're moving, what
- 0:50Speaker 2: the next part of this year is going to require
- 0:52Speaker 2: of us in our growth journey, and we want to
- 0:54Speaker 2: talk about the discomfort and the uncomfortable conversations that also
- 0:58Speaker 2: come with growth and how you can navigate that when
- 1:01Speaker 2: people say things like you've changed and kind of guilt
- 1:04Speaker 2: trip you for evolving.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Yes, I love that. But before we do, we've got
- 1:08Speaker 1: a share of the week. I'll go first, super random,
- 1:10Speaker 1: and I'm sure most of you have heard of marketplace,
- 1:12Speaker 1: but I haven't really used it that much. And lately
- 1:16Speaker 1: I have been like, I sold a bunch of things
- 1:18Speaker 1: when we moved out about old office. We sold a
- 1:20Speaker 1: bunch of computers and stuff on there, which was super handy.
- 1:22Speaker 1: And then for Tyler's birthday, I wanted to get her
- 1:24Speaker 1: a right on car and they were like between five
- 1:27Speaker 1: and eight hundred dollars brand new, and I thought, oh,
- 1:29Speaker 1: just check if there's any local on the Gold Coast.
- 1:31Speaker 1: And I found this pink little range Rover for a
- 1:34Speaker 1: hundred bucks and the lady's daughter had just had grown it.
- 1:38Speaker 1: It's perfect. She loves it. I'm just like, fuck, yeah,
- 1:41Speaker 1: I saved like six hundred dollars and she's just like
- 1:43Speaker 1: you see me roll.
- 1:44Speaker 2: And every day got her Sonny's on everything. Oh, actually
- 1:47Speaker 2: sends me photos. It's so funny, just a little diva.
- 1:50Speaker 2: She absolutely loves it.
- 1:51Speaker 1: But yeah, just if you're looking for certain things, especially
- 1:54Speaker 1: things that are more expensive, I just don't see the
- 1:56Speaker 1: harm in getting secondhand. Yeah, it's really cool. Absolutely, Yeah,
- 2:00Speaker 1: I love that. I love marketplace. I do love marketplaces.
- 2:04Speaker 2: My share of the week is a little bit different,
- 2:06Speaker 2: but it's just my journey with learning piano. So my
- 2:10Speaker 2: share of the week is more about me highly recommending
- 2:13Speaker 2: you getting a non money making hobby.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Oh not money making. Yeah.
- 2:18Speaker 2: The reason why I say that is because I think
- 2:20Speaker 2: we can so get caught up in this generation and
- 2:22Speaker 2: also wanting to progress forward and it's all a bad growth,
- 2:25Speaker 2: which is ironically what.
- 2:26Speaker 1: This episode is about.
- 2:28Speaker 2: And what's also really important is like you're off time
- 2:31Speaker 2: like training your brain to learn new things and like
- 2:34Speaker 2: you know, obviously learning how to expand like you know,
- 2:38Speaker 2: make new neural pathways in your brain of learning new things,
- 2:40Speaker 2: and to be honest, like I feel really challenged by
- 2:43Speaker 2: piano right now.
- 2:44Speaker 1: It's a different part of your brain.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Oh baby, it is so hard. Like in the beginning
- 2:48Speaker 2: it was like really fun. I was like, oh my gosh, yes,
- 2:50Speaker 2: I'm going to be like Beethoven by the end of this,
- 2:53Speaker 2: you know, and learn how to play really cool songs.
- 2:57Speaker 2: And also right now I'm like at the point where
- 2:58Speaker 2: I'm learning a lot of theory and it's my brain.
- 3:01Speaker 2: I can feel how much effort it takes in the
- 3:04Speaker 2: moment to really think about what it requires from me.
- 3:06Speaker 2: To learn something new, but I know with time I'll
- 3:09Speaker 2: get better at it. But it's just one thing that
- 3:11Speaker 2: I get to do for myself that is no one else,
- 3:15Speaker 2: just me. I get to learn something new, I get
- 3:17Speaker 2: to grow as a person, and I get to do
- 3:19Speaker 2: something that I've been wanting to learn since I was sixteen.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Wow, that's cool.
- 3:22Speaker 2: And I just think like, in and amongst everything that
- 3:24Speaker 2: we do being so busy, I think we owe it
- 3:26Speaker 2: to ourselves to do things that are fun.
- 3:27Speaker 1: And like, yeah, you look forward to each week.
- 3:30Speaker 2: Like when I watch my piano teacher play the piano,
- 3:32Speaker 2: it's like my inner child lights up and she's like,
- 3:34Speaker 2: oh my god, that was so beautiful to evoke so
- 3:36Speaker 2: much emotion for me. And it's like one of those
- 3:38Speaker 2: things that I get to have that like it doesn't
- 3:39Speaker 2: require me to be on for work.
- 3:41Speaker 1: It's just for you. And I feel like that was dancing.
- 3:43Speaker 1: I do like contemporary dance classes. Now we'll just a
- 3:45Speaker 1: solo once a week, and it is it's just that
- 3:47Speaker 1: one thing where I'm not a wife, I'm not a mum.
- 3:50Speaker 1: I don't have to be on. It's not for anyone
- 3:52Speaker 1: else except for me. I still utilize the content because
- 3:54Speaker 1: I want to inspire other people to start a hobby
- 3:56Speaker 1: and to go back to what brought them joy when
- 3:58Speaker 1: they were younger. That's why I post about it, and
- 4:00Speaker 1: it keeps me accountable as well. But it genuinely is
- 4:02Speaker 1: one of my favorite times of the week. That's just ashy. Yeah,
- 4:05Speaker 1: you're so present when you're doing a hobby. You're not
- 4:07Speaker 1: thinking about work or stress or money or the hard
- 4:10Speaker 1: conversations you're going to have. You literally just in it,
- 4:12Speaker 1: feeling it, moving in it, expressing it. So beautiful, it
- 4:15Speaker 1: is so beautiful.
- 4:16Speaker 2: So honestly, if you right now in your life don't
- 4:18Speaker 2: have a hobby, highly recommend going and finding one. It
- 4:21Speaker 2: doesn't have to cost you any money, doesn't have to
- 4:23Speaker 2: be anything super hard, but just something that you can
- 4:26Speaker 2: have for yourself, especially if you're a Karen or a troll.
- 4:29Speaker 1: I recommend it because obsessing up with someone else's life
- 4:31Speaker 1: it is not a hobby. Can you tell I've had
- 4:34Speaker 1: some comments lately. Yes. Anyways, moving up Stephanie's in the House. Hello,
- 4:41Speaker 1: I'm welcome, Bored in the House, Books, bored in the house,
- 4:45Speaker 1: board in the house.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Thought.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Okay, let's get into today's episode. What you were saying
- 4:50Speaker 1: before about that common people say you've changed. I used
- 4:53Speaker 1: to get so offended. Yeah, I used to really get
- 4:55Speaker 1: triggered by because I thought it was said in such
- 4:57Speaker 1: a bad way of like, oh, well they used to
- 4:59Speaker 1: love this old version of me, and now this new
- 5:01Speaker 1: version of me do they not like anymore? And it's like, oh,
- 5:04Speaker 1: you've changed you to do this with us, whereas now
- 5:06Speaker 1: it's the complete opposite. To me. If someone says you change,
- 5:09Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, thank god, Yeah, cringe if I'm not changing. Yeah,
- 5:13Speaker 1: I don't want been the same person I was two
- 5:14Speaker 1: years ago. Look back at how I was behaving back then,
- 5:16Speaker 1: Not that it's bad, but I've grown and changed so much,
- 5:18Speaker 1: and I'm more proud of how I'm showing up now
- 5:20Speaker 1: because the things I've learned and the environments have put
- 5:22Speaker 1: myself in a little back I'm like, oh, gosh, wish
- 5:25Speaker 1: I knew then what I knew now in hindsight, right,
- 5:27Speaker 1: But as you do, Yeah, you always want to be changing, evolving,
- 5:30Speaker 1: And even in business, we've been having big conversations lately
- 5:34Speaker 1: about we're a Sagittarian in Gemini, so we're always throwing
- 5:37Speaker 1: ideas around and we get excited about the new shiny thing,
- 5:39Speaker 1: and we more and more we're like excited and passionate
- 5:42Speaker 1: and like this will be fun. But we're also having
- 5:45Speaker 1: hard conversations of like, Okay, what does growth look like
- 5:48Speaker 1: to us? It doesn't always have to be more. Maybe
- 5:50Speaker 1: it's actually doubling down on something that we are really
- 5:52Speaker 1: really good at. Yeah, And we've been having a lot
- 5:54Speaker 1: of internal conversations around that, in work, in ourselves, in
- 5:57Speaker 1: changing our mind in our relationship dynamics, in our friendships,
- 6:01Speaker 1: like everywhere, what's changing, what's growing, what's evolving, what's feeling stagnant?
- 6:06Speaker 1: What's lighting us up? And I do feel good? Ye,
- 6:09Speaker 1: what doesn't. You've got to always check in every couple
- 6:12Speaker 1: of months and ask yourself those questions. Otherwise you can
- 6:16Speaker 1: feel stale or something cannot feel good for a while
- 6:19Speaker 1: and then all of a sudden it explodes. You're like,
- 6:20Speaker 1: what the fuck happened?
- 6:21Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, absolutely, And I and more recently, as we're
- 6:25Speaker 2: having these big conversations, I remember saying to Ashy there
- 6:28Speaker 2: was something that I was experiencing right now, and I'm like, oh,
- 6:30Speaker 2: this season of growth. Sometimes seasons of growth feel really good,
- 6:34Speaker 2: and you're like, oh, this feels so good, it's so
- 6:37Speaker 2: fun and I'm so lit up. And then other times
- 6:39Speaker 2: you're like I want to crawl under a like in
- 6:41Speaker 2: not feel fun.
- 6:42Speaker 1: It doesn't feel fun.
- 6:44Speaker 2: And I think that's like the duality of growth is
- 6:46Speaker 2: like sometimes you are on a roll and you're you know,
- 6:49Speaker 2: moving the needle forward and you're feeling really good, and
- 6:51Speaker 2: then other times it might look like having a lot
- 6:53Speaker 2: of hard conversations, losing people, Losing people change, you know,
- 6:58Speaker 2: having to make big decisions in business or you know,
- 7:01Speaker 2: having to to change looks different. And I think with that,
- 7:06Speaker 2: I think they can come like a little bit of
- 7:08Speaker 2: a fear of like avoiding having to do hard things,
- 7:11Speaker 2: scary things, hard conversations. But also we know, like as humans,
- 7:15Speaker 2: like we want the evolution, you know, and you can
- 7:18Speaker 2: do hard things and feel hard things and know that
- 7:20Speaker 2: you can still move the needle forward and want for
- 7:22Speaker 2: more for yourself. And that's the conversation we've been having
- 7:25Speaker 2: of doubling down but getting clear and like working smarter
- 7:29Speaker 2: not harder, and going, Okay, what is aligned for us,
- 7:32Speaker 2: what is working, what's not, and just making sure that
- 7:34Speaker 2: that pathway like there's no barriers in the way. Yeah,
- 7:38Speaker 2: I think that's our focus at the moment. We recently
- 7:40Speaker 2: had a conversation with our business coach and we were
- 7:43Speaker 2: both having this thing come up for us around feeling
- 7:45Speaker 2: scared of like external judgment and you know, being perceived
- 7:48Speaker 2: a certain way and not owning what we truly want
- 7:53Speaker 2: to say when we think it and feel it online
- 7:56Speaker 2: And this was a really cool moment for the both
- 7:59Speaker 2: of us. They know, for me, it was like a
- 8:01Speaker 2: wake up call of like, wow, like I am being
- 8:04Speaker 2: a lot softer, a lot more fluffy online than how
- 8:06Speaker 2: I truly feel and what I actually want to say.
- 8:09Speaker 2: And this was the conversation we got to have around
- 8:11Speaker 2: being like, no, like that doesn't get to come with
- 8:13Speaker 2: us in twenty twenty seven anymore, because of what we
- 8:15Speaker 2: want to do, because of who we want to be
- 8:17Speaker 2: for ourselves and for the people we love, and also
- 8:20Speaker 2: for what we want to create moving forward.
- 8:21Speaker 1: And who we want to attract into our space and
- 8:23Speaker 1: into our energy. That's right, it's going to reflect how
- 8:26Speaker 1: we're showing up, that's right, what we're talking about, and
- 8:28Speaker 1: how we're behaving.
- 8:29Speaker 2: And so just like us bringing this conversation into you
- 8:32Speaker 2: to acknowledge how growth can be hard but also where
- 8:35Speaker 2: you are holding yourself back, you know, because we're also
- 8:38Speaker 2: having the same conversation. Yeah. We were so grateful that
- 8:41Speaker 2: our business coach even reflected this back to us, and
- 8:43Speaker 2: we were like, wow, you are so right. We're holding
- 8:46Speaker 2: ourselves back and we were playing small.
- 8:48Speaker 1: This is uncomfortable to here. We were like, yeah, humbled, yeah,
- 8:51Speaker 1: you was here girls moving away from the camera. This
- 8:53Speaker 1: is on like face, I'm like, we're hearing you. We're
- 8:55Speaker 1: just yeah, you're right. And I went home to Steve
- 8:57Speaker 1: and I told him about I'm like, I had this
- 8:59Speaker 1: amazing conversation with my business coach and she said this
- 9:01Speaker 1: and this and that. He's like, yeah, that's always been
- 9:03Speaker 1: a problem for you. I was like, oh, wow, other
- 9:05Speaker 1: people see this as well, and I've really felt called out,
- 9:08Speaker 1: but in the best way, because I'm like, I already
- 9:10Speaker 1: know this. That's why I'm getting triggered. Yes, I already
- 9:13Speaker 1: know that I'm doing this. Now I'm being seen and
- 9:15Speaker 1: I'm like, oh yeah, it's cool though. And we're having
- 9:18Speaker 1: conversations lately around two just to where we were at
- 9:21Speaker 1: the start of the year and where we're at now
- 9:23Speaker 1: has changed so much, and just you've been saying a
- 9:26Speaker 1: lot too, like I want to be able to change
- 9:27Speaker 1: my mind because what I thought then or who I
- 9:30Speaker 1: was then has changed in six times time. And I'm like, yeah,
- 9:32Speaker 1: abs fucking lutely. And even that can be uncomfortable because
- 9:35Speaker 1: it's like, sure, we said we're going to do this.
- 9:37Speaker 1: We're like, okay, well we're also allowed to change our mind,
- 9:39Speaker 1: Like how does that look moving forward? Yes, to feel
- 9:41Speaker 1: good for both of us.
- 9:42Speaker 2: Yeah, and then knowing that like change good or bad
- 9:45Speaker 2: still feel scary, can feel scary. Yes, even if it's productive, yes,
- 9:49Speaker 2: or even if it's nothing is bad or nothing is
- 9:51Speaker 2: wrong and nothing is.
- 9:52Speaker 1: You know, yes, I don't know how to explain that, but.
- 9:54Speaker 2: I think just in general, anything that doesn't feel in
- 9:57Speaker 2: the norm can disrupt someone's system, I know.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Especially in relationships. Yeah, yeah, what did I say to
- 10:03Speaker 1: you one day? And you're like, I just feel like
- 10:04Speaker 1: I'm growing so much and change in my mind so much,
- 10:07Speaker 1: like changing your mind about your friend.
- 10:10Speaker 2: Like inquiry, like poking me, like about what what's changing?
- 10:13Speaker 1: Is it you wanted your best friend? I'm just checking.
- 10:17Speaker 1: I'm feeling anxious.
- 10:21Speaker 2: No, and yeah, like everything about that, literally everything about that.
- 10:26Speaker 1: No, And it's cool.
- 10:27Speaker 2: And this is again conversations that we're having and we
- 10:30Speaker 2: want to be having of like yeah, fuck yeah, we
- 10:32Speaker 2: can change our mind. It doesn't mean that it's going apart.
- 10:35Speaker 2: It's never that, Like it's never the goal of the intention.
- 10:37Speaker 2: It's always like, how can we get together and grow together?
- 10:41Speaker 2: You know, we're like both on our individual journey but
- 10:44Speaker 2: also walking alongside each other in tandem with each other,
- 10:47Speaker 2: and then it's like, okay, I imagine it's like an
- 10:49Speaker 2: intimate relationship where you meet different versions of each other
- 10:53Speaker 2: and then you go, okay, cool, how do we fit
- 10:54Speaker 2: in and like navigate this and like continue to evolve
- 10:57Speaker 2: together literally and it's like scary sometimes.
- 11:00Speaker 1: That's what I was about to say, is it feels
- 11:02Speaker 1: the same with Steve. Yeah, there's just time. So we
- 11:04Speaker 1: have conversations where things have changed what we want or desire,
- 11:08Speaker 1: whether that's in workplace, whether that's at home, it's the
- 11:11Speaker 1: roles we like during whether that's how we're intimate with
- 11:14Speaker 1: each other, things we want to explore. Like things change,
- 11:17Speaker 1: And Steve said before like I thought you didn't like that.
- 11:19Speaker 1: I'm like I didn't and now I do. Yeah, now
- 11:23Speaker 1: I do. Hello, new version, I'm here and vice versa,
- 11:28Speaker 1: and that's why you've got to consistently be curious. But yeah,
- 11:31Speaker 1: it is really uncomfortable sometimes because in your relationship dynamics
- 11:33Speaker 1: you can get comfortable. Yeah, you're really comfortable, you feel
- 11:36Speaker 1: really safe, you feel really secure, and all of a sudden,
- 11:38Speaker 1: they're like, oh, actually no, I don't like that. It's like, fuck, okay,
- 11:41Speaker 1: let's talk about it. Yeah, but it's scary sometimes. Yeah,
- 11:44Speaker 1: for sure, I can feel.
- 11:46Speaker 2: But if you're willing, if you're willing to grow together,
- 11:49Speaker 2: like that's it.
- 11:49Speaker 1: You're going to be fine. Willing this thing is everything.
- 11:53Speaker 1: And I can stand by that just even being with
- 11:54Speaker 1: Steve for eighteen years, we wouldn't be together if we
- 11:56Speaker 1: both weren't willing. I take my hat off to you guys.
- 11:58Speaker 1: So that's fucking awesome.
- 11:59Speaker 2: It's an awesome achievement to be able to do together
- 12:02Speaker 2: and to witness you guys, and I've said this to
- 12:04Speaker 2: you before, to witness you guys do what you do
- 12:06Speaker 2: in your dynamic and love on each other more and
- 12:08Speaker 2: more as the years go on. It's you know what
- 12:10Speaker 2: I mean, Yeah, it's really beautiful.
- 12:12Speaker 1: Like and it doesn't mean we haven't had really high
- 12:14Speaker 1: highs and really low lows. We've had plenty of them,
- 12:17Speaker 1: more than I can count. But the willingness of both
- 12:20Speaker 1: of us really wanting to show up for each other
- 12:23Speaker 1: and for the relationship. Yeah, it's pretty cool. Yeah, I
- 12:26Speaker 1: admire us for that. We was talking about this the
- 12:28Speaker 1: other day. It's off topic, but there's not many relationships
- 12:30Speaker 1: around me that I look at it and I'm like, wow,
- 12:32Speaker 1: so inspired by. It's really sad, isn't it. It's not
- 12:34Speaker 1: many didn't have that growing up. There's not a lot
- 12:36Speaker 1: of people around me. Like we both talk about the
- 12:38Speaker 1: relationships we want and we're creating them. But yeah, I'm
- 12:41Speaker 1: really proud of Steve and Ie for that. And I
- 12:42Speaker 1: think any relationship has a chance to continue on forever
- 12:46Speaker 1: if both are willing. Yeah. Absolutely. Yeah.
- 12:48Speaker 2: I remember thinking like, I don't have anybody in my
- 12:50Speaker 2: life i'm inspired by. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I remember
- 12:53Speaker 2: thinking this was like a couple of years ago. There
- 12:56Speaker 2: was one online couple that I saw and I was like,
- 12:58Speaker 2: you know what if there's only one couple. Yeah, I
- 13:00Speaker 2: don't even know them, but I just need one person
- 13:02Speaker 2: to be evidence that, like what I want for myself
- 13:04Speaker 2: and my future gets to be possible and like, sure
- 13:06Speaker 2: I can create it.
- 13:06Speaker 1: Yeah, you know.
- 13:08Speaker 2: Yeah it's hard when there's not Yeah, it is. But
- 13:11Speaker 2: anyway back to the growth of tangent. Yeah, I think
- 13:15Speaker 2: a lot of conversations we're having is yeah about what
- 13:17Speaker 2: this next six months, next twelve months is going.
- 13:19Speaker 1: To require of us.
- 13:21Speaker 2: And I think what people don't realize Whilst growth can
- 13:25Speaker 2: be glamorized, sometimes people don't really talk about the loneliness
- 13:30Speaker 2: that comes with it. They don't talk about the hard conversations.
- 13:33Speaker 2: They don't talk about losing people. They don't talk about
- 13:35Speaker 2: how it change can make somebody feel while you're in
- 13:37Speaker 2: the midst of change, and I think it can feel
- 13:40Speaker 2: like emotionally overwhelming thing.
- 13:42Speaker 1: To go through. Definitely not even people, but losing your job, yeah,
- 13:45Speaker 1: losing your business, losing a loved one, losing the house
- 13:49Speaker 1: you've just lived in, like whether you're renting or you
- 13:51Speaker 1: know whatever, losing something requires growth and change and that's uncomfortable.
- 13:55Speaker 1: Does it stretches you and it does grow you And
- 13:58Speaker 1: in hindsight you look back and like, wow, they actually
- 14:00Speaker 1: needed to happen. Yeah, everyone can say that going through
- 14:02Speaker 1: a breakup or going through something really hard. You look
- 14:04Speaker 1: back and you're like, wow, oh, I would not be
- 14:06Speaker 1: who I am today if I didn't go through that.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Hardship absolutely builds resilience, builds strength, builds capacity. It also
- 14:12Speaker 1: builds deeper connection.
- 14:14Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, like especially if you're doing it with
- 14:15Speaker 2: people around you, Like if you grow together, So you're
- 14:18Speaker 2: in a relationship, you want to grow together. If you
- 14:20Speaker 2: have a hard moment and then you repair well.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Yes, so true. That was cool. Yeah, we have that.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Yeah, hard conversations in business or our friendship, we're like, fuck, yeah,
- 14:33Speaker 2: we did well, we did really well, repaired well, or
- 14:35Speaker 2: we came back from that really quickly.
- 14:36Speaker 1: That was also we had went in bed a couple
- 14:38Speaker 1: of weeks ago. We were working in bed and we
- 14:39Speaker 1: were just having a tricky conversation navigating different feelings. Than
- 14:42Speaker 1: five minutes later, got our around and like jumped on
- 14:44Speaker 1: top of I'm like, I love you.
- 14:46Speaker 2: We both got so triggered that we had so well,
- 14:48Speaker 2: were like shreking a snack yep.
- 14:51Speaker 1: But we like held the triggers for each other. We
- 14:53Speaker 1: didn't project, we held the space. It was uncomfortable, and
- 14:55Speaker 1: then we were repaired to be not even repair but
- 14:57Speaker 1: just like connected even deeper. Yeah, yeah, that's how relationship
- 15:00Speaker 1: should be. Yeah.
- 15:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I was just understanding that, like it's going to
- 15:03Speaker 2: be uncomfortable. Yes, it's going to be avoid that with
- 15:06Speaker 2: the whole conversation around alth you've changed things. Yes, oftentimes
- 15:11Speaker 2: this can trigger in other people if you're receiving this,
- 15:13Speaker 2: that they're being left behind.
- 15:15Speaker 1: People don't like that feeling.
- 15:16Speaker 2: I don't like it's right because it triggers whatever a
- 15:19Speaker 2: wound we have existing in us. But also, it doesn't
- 15:21Speaker 2: mean that what you're doing is wrong about No, And
- 15:24Speaker 2: I think you're allowed to disagree with people, You're allowed
- 15:28Speaker 2: to have somebody be upset with you, You're allowed to
- 15:31Speaker 2: change your mind, all of these things. And I think
- 15:32Speaker 2: giving yourself permission to be able to do all those
- 15:35Speaker 2: things regardless of how people respond, I think you'll learn
- 15:38Speaker 2: how to trust yourself more. Definitely, this doesn't mean that
- 15:41Speaker 2: you're not considerate of other people's feelings and emotions. I'm
- 15:43Speaker 2: not saying go out and disregard everybody around you and
- 15:47Speaker 2: just go do whatever you want. I'm not saying that, Like,
- 15:49Speaker 2: you don't have to cut all of your relationships in
- 15:51Speaker 2: your life in order to grow.
- 15:52Speaker 1: I'm not saying that.
- 15:53Speaker 2: But like be willing that like you might ruffle some
- 15:57Speaker 2: feathers when you grow, you might trigger some people, you
- 16:01Speaker 2: might leave some people behind. Things might look differently, your
- 16:04Speaker 2: path might change as you go, and that's also okay.
- 16:07Speaker 2: And again it is not a comfortable journey to go through,
- 16:11Speaker 2: but it will be the best journey that you go on.
- 16:13Speaker 2: And then I think as you grow, you kind of
- 16:16Speaker 2: you learn and understand that like what you said in hindsight,
- 16:19Speaker 2: it's a really beautiful thing and it's something that's necessary
- 16:21Speaker 2: for your growth. And then you also know that the
- 16:24Speaker 2: best times in your life will always come with a
- 16:26Speaker 2: low moment before you have that slingshot moment.
- 16:29Speaker 1: So true, and.
- 16:30Speaker 2: If you can just keep that in your mind that
- 16:32Speaker 2: if you're going through a hard season right now, change
- 16:34Speaker 2: and growth, like your up level is, you're on the verge.
- 16:38Speaker 2: You're on the cusp of experiencing all new version of
- 16:40Speaker 2: your life and yourself and your experiences.
- 16:42Speaker 1: Which is actually really exciting. Yeah yeah, And.
- 16:45Speaker 2: It comes with being okay with the pushback does and.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Like a response, how would you respond to someone says
- 16:50Speaker 1: to you you've changed, like in that tone, what would
- 16:53Speaker 1: you say back?
- 16:54Speaker 2: Good? Yeah, good, Yeah, I would hope so yes, I
- 16:59Speaker 2: would hope, so, yeah, that's my intention.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Yes, Like my everything that I am doing is like,
- 17:03Speaker 1: I'm glad you've noticed. Yes, thank you, thank you so much.
- 17:06Speaker 1: How have you noticed it? Yeah? Were It sounds sarcastic,
- 17:10Speaker 1: but it's true. I would hope.
- 17:12Speaker 2: So, yeah, how I would respond, And I would hope
- 17:15Speaker 2: that there's nobody in my life who says that to me, yes,
- 17:18Speaker 2: in a way of making me try to feel guilty
- 17:20Speaker 2: for how I grow. And I'm luckily enough to say
- 17:22Speaker 2: that I don't. But I've also been there too.
- 17:25Speaker 1: Yeah. That's just for the sake of anyone else listening
- 17:26Speaker 1: in case they're getting that and I don't know how
- 17:28Speaker 1: to respond because I didn't used to know how to respond.
- 17:30Speaker 1: I would take it to like, oh my god, they
- 17:32Speaker 1: don't like this new version of me because I'm the
- 17:34Speaker 1: same as you now, I'm like, oh, that's awesome. I
- 17:36Speaker 1: can show up better now. I'm glad I've learned how
- 17:38Speaker 1: to deal with things better now. Yeah, and I like
- 17:41Speaker 1: who I am even more now.
- 17:42Speaker 2: I think that's the biggest thing, is acknowledging what you're
- 17:44Speaker 2: proud of. Yes, if somebody says that you've changed, yeah,
- 17:47Speaker 2: I'm really proud. Yeah, proud of how hard I've worked
- 17:50Speaker 2: to get here, to set stronger boundaries and to be
- 17:53Speaker 2: more vocal in what I think and feel in my opinions.
- 17:56Speaker 1: On what I want. I used to be a big
- 17:58Speaker 1: people like you.
- 17:58Speaker 2: Do you know what I mean? Like, if you're expressing
- 18:01Speaker 2: how important it is to you, I think it will
- 18:02Speaker 2: give that other person insight to what you're doing, why
- 18:06Speaker 2: you're doing it, and maybe even permission.
- 18:08Speaker 1: For them to do it too. Yeah.
- 18:09Speaker 2: At the end of the day, we all want to
- 18:11Speaker 2: change and grow, and people get triggered because they either
- 18:13Speaker 2: want what you have or they recognize that they're not
- 18:16Speaker 2: doing what Yes, you're highlighting to them what they want
- 18:18Speaker 2: for themselves and they're not actioning it.
- 18:21Speaker 1: Did they said?
- 18:21Speaker 2: It's a lesson either way?
- 18:23Speaker 1: Is I hope this learner for you all. Hope you
- 18:25Speaker 1: really enjoyed it, and we'll see you on the next episode.
- 18:28Speaker 1: Bye bye,
