- 0:02SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 0:03SPEAKER_00: It's another episode.
- 0:05SPEAKER_00: Hey, I made simple.
- 0:11SPEAKER_01: Check the mic and make sure it's down right, boy.
- 0:16SPEAKER_00: So today we're learning some things.
- 0:20SPEAKER_00: You know, we're used most of the conversations that uh of the clients that I've worked with always starts at the doorstep of, hey, I think I need a new website or I need a website.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: Our minds are set to where we're expecting the folks that we serve, our prospects, our customers, and even our team, that they're going to go to our website, they're going to learn about what we do, and it's going to give them confidence to uh come closer, to connect, to reach out, do business with you.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: And that's the intent.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: That's the intent when someone says, Hey, I think I need a new website.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: They're like, I got this business.
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: I know I got to be relevant somewhere.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: And that's uh where it starts.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: And so today, what if, what if you don't need a website?
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: What if you actually want to just let's just capture all your subject matter expertise in your head?
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: What's a website representing?
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: It's representing how does the your solution fit in the future of your prospects uh life.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: And so what you need is like some way to convey that.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: You think about the the folks that we really appreciate that, the books that we enjoy or the podcasts that we listen to, what are they doing?
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: They have taken the time to collect all that subject matter expertise in their head, and they've organized it in a way that it makes it easy for you to get and pick up and appreciate what they're um promoting.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: They're promoting a way to think about the world differently, right?
- 2:03SPEAKER_00: And so that's like that's like uh valuable.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: And so what if what if we could do that instead of a website, you think about it different?
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: Well, one of the ways that um I like to see what's going on is that I look at what's happening, what are some examples of what the future might look like for us?
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: So uh the other day I was looking around on Google Labs, and they have this experiments area, and one thing is that they have are called portraits.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: So I'm gonna share my screen.
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: Let's go look at this together and talk about it.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: All right, here we go.
- 2:49SPEAKER_00: So this is called labs.google forward slash portraits gallery.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: And what are we looking at here?
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: We're looking at um a version of the future.
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: Now, what is this?
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah, when when we are uh in a bunch of these conversations, we talk about um chat GPT and custom GPTs, right?
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: And so if I go over here, here's a custom GPT, one of my most popular free custom GPTs that um I share with folks.
- 3:22SPEAKER_00: Hang on, so I'm not sharing, let me share it right.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: Share the screen, share the window.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: Here we go.
- 3:33SPEAKER_00: All right, so here we are.
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: We're looking at what a custom GPT is.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: Now, if we're comparing it to this, this is basically a future version of what a custom GPT is.
- 3:47SPEAKER_00: A custom GPT is basically um instead of off-the-shelf chat GPT, you've taken it and you've baked in uh a knowledge base, you've baked in a job description, and you've baked in a way for it to interact and present.
- 4:05SPEAKER_00: And so it's not just uh general one size fits all, it becomes very specialized.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: And when we look at these uh portraits here, what is this?
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: This is a specialized representation of someone's expertise.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: They have two folks here.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: One is Kim Scott and one is Matt Dix.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: And so what does this mean?
- 4:28SPEAKER_00: You know, when you think about in our world, we have these limitations of time, um, resources, money, and um, then expertise, right?
- 4:40SPEAKER_00: What's what's the real value of what we're doing?
- 4:42SPEAKER_00: And this is how uh this is a representation or an example of what the future looks like.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: Instead of a website, here's here's my website, my my agency website.
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: You think about the designing, the thinking that went in this website.
- 4:58SPEAKER_00: All right, the folks are gonna come here are generally from this perspective, they're expecting to find what, and we're trying to communicate in a in a way to a wide audience, and then we're hoping that they start to filter down.
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: They want to go to the the service page, or they um they want to see more about you know, they're gonna want to learn.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: Um, you're hopefully they're hanging around.
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: Hey, I found what I'm looking for, and then I'm gonna go deeper, and then if yep, this confirms it, and then they're gonna click and start to reveal who they are and interact with you.
- 5:37SPEAKER_00: Well, this is the future version of that.
- 5:39SPEAKER_00: When we we click on this, who are we meeting?
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: We're meeting the subject matter expertise.
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: This is an interactive website that is going to actually we're expanding her expertise in radical candor or radical respect.
- 6:02SPEAKER_00: She's the author of those two books.
- 6:05SPEAKER_00: I've um I'm very familiar with them.
- 6:08SPEAKER_00: She's also done extensive coaching.
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: Now look at this.
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: She's coaching at these big name companies.
- 6:16SPEAKER_00: Well, she gets paid a pretty penny to do that.
- 6:19SPEAKER_00: And then imagine you read her book and you go, golly, I wish I could afford.
- 6:24SPEAKER_00: One of my limitations is uh money, but if I could afford to get expertise coaching from Kim, then that would elevate me and get me where I want to go.
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: And well, guess what?
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: Why don't why don't you have a version of this on your website that can do exactly that?
- 6:47SPEAKER_00: What people want to come and they want to spend a little time, they want to get a clear understanding of what value you can add to their life, they're gonna test it, they're gonna spend the time, they're gonna they're going to go through their buyer's journey and the way that they they go through.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: Everybody's different.
- 7:05SPEAKER_00: But here's the thing: this is a unique, it's not a one size fits all.
- 7:12SPEAKER_00: This is only relevant to me.
- 7:15SPEAKER_00: I get to go the path I want and I get to interact in how I want to.
- 7:21SPEAKER_00: So let's say I want to become a better communicator.
- 7:25SPEAKER_00: Well, so look at that.
- 7:37SPEAKER_00: If I'm I don't know if you can hear this today, but you're actually able to have a conversation.
- 7:45SPEAKER_00: You can click on this menu, I mean on this microphone, and talk one-to-one with this knowledge base that's been uh baked into and following a specific prompt, just like in a custom GPT.
- 8:03SPEAKER_00: So that's what's going on here.
- 8:05SPEAKER_00: They have a nice representation.
- 8:07SPEAKER_00: This is AI generated, by the way.
- 8:09SPEAKER_00: They took a nice image and they put it to a process, and it gives us a nice look and feel.
- 8:14SPEAKER_00: Then you have you have her knowledge base, obviously, yeah, she has books, and then they put the role description.
- 8:22SPEAKER_00: You're gonna be a coach, and so this is an interactive process that exists now, but imagine going from a one-size-fits-all website like this to hey, I'm here, I want to get some value at my speed, the value that I'm interested in.
- 8:42SPEAKER_00: And then imagine when this tool discerns intent, it starts to offer hey, would you like to set up a time to talk to Kim?
- 8:54SPEAKER_00: You can do this either on a website, you can do this even over the phone, and all this technology exists now, but it's the way that you think about it.
- 9:05SPEAKER_00: And it's basically if we deconstruct this, this is just a custom GPT, much in the way that we have here.
- 9:13SPEAKER_00: And this custom GPT is an experience that you can create in Google Gemini, you can create it in Chat GPT, you can create it in uh X and other platforms.
- 9:25SPEAKER_00: But the thinking, the thinking is brilliant, but this is where your future model of interacting with your prospects is going to land.
- 9:38SPEAKER_00: And you can get there now.
- 9:40SPEAKER_00: You know, uh the subtitle on this is like your customer experience is what wins and connects with folks.
- 9:48SPEAKER_00: This is a big competitive advantage, and it's something that uh you can start to embrace.
- 9:54SPEAKER_00: So I encourage you to go over to labs.google forward slash portraits and play around with this and understand that that you don't need to type.
- 10:06SPEAKER_00: You can you see this as an option to type, or you can pick pre pre-suggested um um prompts, but you can just discuss and have a so this is this is excellent, and this is where this is where the taking the time and downloading the subject matter expertise.
- 10:43SPEAKER_00: Every business owner, every leader, every coach has a subject matter expertise that's unique.
- 10:52SPEAKER_00: We don't need to be Kim, we can just be us, but we have to download our our subject matter expertise.
- 10:59SPEAKER_00: We need to put it into a format that that's what's beautiful thing about artificial intelligence, these large language models, it can quickly digest all of that material, and then it can start to represent your answers based on the prompting and the training of this model.
- 11:22SPEAKER_00: So you can go from having just a typical website to actually having a version of this immediately, whether it's via a phone version.
- 11:36SPEAKER_00: So imagine, let's imagine that you're a family law attorney.
- 11:41SPEAKER_00: And a family law attorney, um, you know, obviously they they got in to help folks work through the many uh storms that families go through.
- 11:52SPEAKER_00: They have an expertise, they probably have a desire to help um people they care about work through tough problems.
- 12:01SPEAKER_00: But imagine you're that attorney and you're always getting these phone calls or people asking you all the questions that are typical questions that you get asked.
- 12:10SPEAKER_00: How much does it cost?
- 12:11SPEAKER_00: Do you do you do this?
- 12:13SPEAKER_00: What does it look like here?
- 12:14SPEAKER_00: They're wanting, they're wanting to get clarity whether to trust you or not.
- 12:18SPEAKER_00: And imagine having a representative, a virtual representative that expands your capabilities significantly and can handle those hundreds of preliminary questions, yet can start to filter and and uh qualify the ones that are just right for your practice.
- 12:40SPEAKER_00: Imagine that.
- 12:41SPEAKER_00: Well, you can do this via a phone call.
- 12:45SPEAKER_00: Imagine a version of this that is a voice agent handling these preliminary and qualifying aspects in a phone conversation.
- 12:55SPEAKER_00: And as soon as it discerns that, hey, this is actually you would be a good fit for Kim, then it would begin to work through setting up an appointment andor collecting a down payment.
- 13:12SPEAKER_00: This is all completely doable now, immediately, but this is the future.
- 13:19SPEAKER_00: This is where things are going.
- 13:21SPEAKER_00: Before uh getting on this call today, I thought, you know, I'm I'm wanting to get my uh thoughts together and get organized, but here I've built a website just for today's presentation.
- 13:34SPEAKER_00: Man, I am impressive today.
- 13:36SPEAKER_00: This is the first legitimate, well-thought-out website I've ever built.
- 13:41SPEAKER_00: And I did it in just a few seconds using Google Gemini.
- 13:48SPEAKER_00: And so start building a web.
- 13:50SPEAKER_00: Nope, not a website, start building a mind because your competitors are.
- 13:55SPEAKER_00: And this is how we what we've been showing is how to clone your expertise with AI and move move beyond a brochure website and create a customer experience that wins the future.
- 14:07SPEAKER_00: So the old way was having a static one-size-fits-all website, but the new way is a dynamic one-on-one conversation with an expert and it talks with people.
- 14:20SPEAKER_00: You know, one thing I think about is I imagine after a hundred phone calls, being able to take all of that data and realize, you know, I thought people asked this question more, but over a hundred phone calls, you would figure out that people actually ask a bunch more questions, maybe different questions than you expected.
- 14:45SPEAKER_00: So you are an expert, but we need to get your expertise.
- 14:50SPEAKER_00: We need to download it and build out a beautiful knowledge base.
- 14:55SPEAKER_00: Then we can start to build your digital twin.
- 14:58SPEAKER_00: And that's when we design the prompt.
- 15:01SPEAKER_00: We upload your knowledge base, and then we define the role, expectation of that assistant.
- 15:07SPEAKER_00: And so you're moving people from a prospect to a partner, and you're expanding your potential.
- 15:16SPEAKER_00: Here's an ex uh example.
- 15:19SPEAKER_00: Man, this is an impressive website, Steve.
- 15:21SPEAKER_00: Well, thank you.
- 15:22SPEAKER_00: The first website ever built.
- 15:24SPEAKER_00: Imagine what my hundredth website would look like.
- 15:29SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: So if you're ready to build your expert, your digital expert, then guess what?
- 15:35SPEAKER_00: That's what I do.
- 15:37SPEAKER_00: That's I work with leaders day in and out, and we create their knowledge base.
- 15:43SPEAKER_00: We set this up, we turn them loose.
- 15:46SPEAKER_00: Imagine being able to get your team to uh clearly communicate exactly what's in your head.
- 15:54SPEAKER_00: That's the big lever.
- 15:55SPEAKER_00: That's why these people get paid the big bucks, these people that you go see at uh industry events, podcasts, interviews.
- 16:04SPEAKER_00: They did this work in a form or fashion.
- 16:08SPEAKER_00: They got their expertise, they got it organized, and they got it in a way where many people can understand what they see in here.
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: It's a big leadership leverage.
- 16:20SPEAKER_00: So, what did we learn today?
- 16:23SPEAKER_00: The future is bright, it's gonna not be a one size fits all, it's gonna be a unique version of what you need, will be in every aspect of your life.
- 16:35SPEAKER_00: We're moving from a centralized form of information, this one size fits all website, to an interactive custom-made experience that's perfect just for you.
- 16:54SPEAKER_00: We know that this is doable immediately because of custom GPTs.
- 17:00SPEAKER_00: Uh we know that you can uh even guys like me can build a website in just a few seconds, but we can start to communicate clearly and better.
- 17:11SPEAKER_00: That's another great episode here on AI Made Simple.
- 17:17SPEAKER_00: We got this beautiful link tree.
