- 0:35SPEAKER_00: Guys, I just got done doing my one year anniversary, and I'm gonna do a bonus uncut video, which I like to do from time to time, but this one I surely need to do.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: So after that, I was emotional, of course, but that was to be expected.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: And then just now I played my theme song and I'm like singing it.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: I recorded myself singing it.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: I can't put it on the air because I don't want to violate copyright, you know, copyrights.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: So but I'm like, mm-hmm.
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: And I'm like just jamming out, and that's the part of me that I was talking about.
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: Do not lose your sparkle.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: And I know everybody says that, but I said it before people were saying it.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: I just that's the number one lesson that I uh I definitely have learned in the whole year, is that, and obviously, you know, I shared experiences and I shared my vision thing, and I hate going back to that because I don't want my whole year to be about that, but that was a huge, huge thing that actually blindsided me, pun intended, because I did not see that coming.
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: Wow, I think that was another one, but anyways, basically it was like the beginning of the year.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: I'm like, you know, new year, new me, let's go.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: And I had all these plans.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: I was living with my mom for about a year at that point after I broke up with my ex a year prior to that.
- 2:03SPEAKER_00: And so I was living with my mom, I'm getting all better, I'm getting all up, I'm getting encouraged, I'm looking to do my life coaching instead of doing the soul-sucking career of surveillance.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: And so I'm ready, I'm pumped, I'm ready to go.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: Christmas Day.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: I start to lose my vision in my left eye, and I'm like, what?
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: I just thought maybe I don't know, it was temporary.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: I was just seeing something.
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: And then by I think it was two days later while I was still driving, but I shouldn't have been probably, I could barely see out of the top of my eye.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, oh boy.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: And I did call to get help during this time when it first started, but I couldn't get in fast enough.
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: And long story short, basically I ended up getting in, I think it was oh, January 2nd.
- 2:52SPEAKER_00: So I had to wait until January 2nd because the holidays, doctors weren't available.
- 2:57SPEAKER_00: It was just people on vacation.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: There aren't many retina specialists in Las Vegas.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: So I went in and I got it repaired, but unfortunately, the macula part of the eye that detached was off for too long and it lost oxygen, which means when it reattaches, even though they got it reattached, which, oh my God, thank God, because it could have been worse, I got back some vision.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: The sad part is I lost 60% of my vision.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: And that on top of having a lazy eye that, you know, wasn't even very good to begin with, and the right eye, the combination of them both.
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: Let's just say it's been a hard year.
- 3:39SPEAKER_00: And I like to pretend that I'm fine with that.
- 3:42SPEAKER_00: But you know, deep down, I it's it's tough.
- 3:44SPEAKER_00: And I don't want to pretend like it's not tough because it is tough.
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: And there's two parts to that.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't want that to ruin my future, but it has definitely made me think more, you know, things from like, who's gonna want to date me like that?
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, okay, no, we're not gonna worry about that.
- 4:01SPEAKER_00: The right person will come along if it's meant to be, not even meant to be, but if they see or whatever.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: I don't know what kind of BS I'm trying to tell myself in my head.
- 4:13SPEAKER_00: I've been almost free for two years from an unhealthy relationship, which that was breaking a whole pattern of like 36 years of going out with the same type of person.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: You know, you might as well just well, basically I did.
- 4:29SPEAKER_00: I just dated the same type of person and they had a different name.
- 4:33SPEAKER_00: I know we hear that a lot.
- 4:35SPEAKER_00: So that was a pattern that I had to break.
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: And so I haven't gone out with anybody for two years.
- 4:41SPEAKER_00: One, I was working on myself.
- 4:42SPEAKER_00: I've always been working on myself, and I think I blame myself for some things, but let me tell you, I tried and I tried and I tried.
- 4:51SPEAKER_00: You can't, you can't fix somebody, you can't you can't make somebody get the help that they need.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: And I know it takes two, and I was trying, trying.
- 5:05SPEAKER_00: Yes, there are some things that I could have done better.
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: Yes, I use some techniques that I learned throughout, I don't even know where I picked them up, but I don't even they're terrible, like the silent treatment.
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: Oh, I know where it picked it up.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna out that person, but yes, I picked that up from somebody.
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: So basically, I do know where I did things wrong.
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: I knew knew things that I could have done better.
- 5:30SPEAKER_00: Did I do what I was accused of doing?
- 5:33SPEAKER_00: Absolutely not.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: But at first it was hard because I'm like, oh, he's telling all these people all these stories, and it's not true.
- 5:40SPEAKER_00: And then I was kind of at his level telling stories, but they were true.
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: But you know, that's not here nor there anymore.
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: But I'm just trying to go over the last year.
- 5:49SPEAKER_00: So basically, I couldn't get my own place yet, and I ended up moving in, still staying with my mom, but then living with both my adult sons, and I'm very grateful for that.
- 6:02SPEAKER_00: It's sometimes difficult, but it's a it's the best situation for now.
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: And I love my children, absolutely adore them, and the house is nice.
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: I mean, there are so many things to be grateful, and you know, the doggies, those are very helpful.
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: I love dogs.
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: Sometimes I say more than people, maybe that's just right now.
- 6:26SPEAKER_00: What else have I done in that year?
- 6:28SPEAKER_00: Well, a year ago, September, October, November.
- 6:32SPEAKER_00: I guess closer to November.
- 6:34SPEAKER_00: I left my friend circle.
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: I made a choice that it wasn't fitting me what I was wanting anymore in my life.
- 6:43SPEAKER_00: And so I had to do that.
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: So I, you know, I've kind of been kind of just you know, riding the waves by myself, but I needed some of that.
- 6:51SPEAKER_00: And you know, I know I'm starting to get ready.
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: I am starting to get ready to see somebody, and I don't want to be afraid to ever fall in love again because I'm like, oh, I'm never gonna be with anybody else.
- 7:02SPEAKER_00: That's not true.
- 7:03SPEAKER_00: I like to be with somebody, I want to be a partner with somebody.
- 7:08SPEAKER_00: I want us both to bring 100%.
- 7:11SPEAKER_00: One thing that we did that worked is something I really do like.
- 7:15SPEAKER_00: There are things that I've learned along the 36 years.
- 7:18SPEAKER_00: Some things that really work that I like are let's say we do a little temperature check with each other.
- 7:23SPEAKER_00: We're having a hard day.
- 7:24SPEAKER_00: Maybe one of us is at like, I don't know, 50%.
- 7:29SPEAKER_00: The other person's like, well, I'm feeling pretty good today.
- 7:31SPEAKER_00: I'm at like 90.
- 7:33SPEAKER_00: And so that 90% person helps the 50% to kind of level the temperature, get their temperature up, and we meet in the middle.
- 7:41SPEAKER_00: I really love that analogy, and I really love that way to do it.
- 7:47SPEAKER_00: Oh, now I lost my train with that thought because I have ADHD.
- 7:53SPEAKER_00: Which anybody who's been listening already knows that, and it'll only take you a few minutes to figure that out.
- 7:58SPEAKER_00: But I'm not gonna use that as a weakness because sometimes having that has been a blessing in disguise.
- 8:07SPEAKER_00: What else has been going on in the year?
- 8:09SPEAKER_00: Oh, well, I went back to my own clothing style.
- 8:12SPEAKER_00: I started actually one thing that I started doing was getting rid of things that no longer work for me.
- 8:18SPEAKER_00: Not even just, you know, like the soul-sucking career, but relationships that don't work for me.
- 8:28SPEAKER_00: I started getting rid of stuff that doesn't work for me.
- 8:31SPEAKER_00: I had stuff from my past that I just I got rid of it.
- 8:35SPEAKER_00: And now I'm still doing that in my bedroom.
- 8:37SPEAKER_00: I now live in a 10x10 bedroom.
- 8:40SPEAKER_00: I love my bedroom.
- 8:43SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 8:45SPEAKER_00: I guess I keep stuff for comfort.
- 8:47SPEAKER_00: It's not a hoarding situation, it's just more of a comfort thing.
- 8:51SPEAKER_00: I would not say my room's like hoarding, but when you see a 10 by 10 room, I could do better.
- 8:56SPEAKER_00: There are clothes that I haven't worn forever.
- 8:59SPEAKER_00: Now I did lose a lot of weight just going through.
- 9:01SPEAKER_00: I found some medicine that worked good for my diabetes, so that helped.
- 9:07SPEAKER_00: And so I'd lost weight.
- 9:08SPEAKER_00: So I have pants for like all different sizes before I lost weight, and now, you know, the right size right now.
- 9:15SPEAKER_00: Today I think I put on a pair that's a little too tight, but that doesn't matter.
- 9:21SPEAKER_00: What I'm trying to say is I have too much stuff.
- 9:24SPEAKER_00: So maybe a few months ago I went and got some clothes from this one online business, and they were cheap.
- 9:31SPEAKER_00: So I got a bunch of clothes for$40.
- 9:35SPEAKER_00: And I have to look back and laugh.
- 9:37SPEAKER_00: Those clothes, I don't know who I was trying to be.
- 9:40SPEAKER_00: I was trying to look more like a professional speaker because I do want to be a speaker.
- 9:47SPEAKER_00: I am a speaker.
- 9:48SPEAKER_00: I'm speaking right now on my podcast.
- 9:50SPEAKER_00: As long as you know, I wanted to be a podcaster, I wanted to help women, I am those things.
- 9:55SPEAKER_00: And I thought I had to dress a certain way.
- 9:58SPEAKER_00: So I bought some clothes that weren't my style.
- 10:02SPEAKER_00: I don't want, well, I guess I could say floral shirts.
- 10:05SPEAKER_00: No offense, ladies.
- 10:07SPEAKER_00: But these were no offense.
- 10:09SPEAKER_00: See, I don't want to offend anybody, but they were not for me.
- 10:12SPEAKER_00: I put them on.
- 10:13SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh, they did not work for me.
- 10:17SPEAKER_00: I did not feel like myself.
- 10:18SPEAKER_00: Like I felt more put together, but it just wasn't for me.
- 10:23SPEAKER_00: So I actually got rid of all those clothes that didn't fit.
- 10:27SPEAKER_00: Then I went through some of my old clothes.
- 10:29SPEAKER_00: Some old clothes had attached memories.
- 10:35SPEAKER_00: And so I got rid of those clothes.
- 10:37SPEAKER_00: Some of them were hard to get rid of, some of them were my favorite shirts, but the energy on them, they had to go.
- 10:44SPEAKER_00: So then I just found some new clothes.
- 10:46SPEAKER_00: I still hung on to some clothes that I know I need to let go of.
- 10:50SPEAKER_00: It's like, okay, so I look at it like this way.
- 10:53SPEAKER_00: Every day I'm improving.
- 10:55SPEAKER_00: I'm getting rid of things like my closet looking better, my books collection.
- 11:01SPEAKER_00: I lost a lot of my book collection.
- 11:03SPEAKER_00: Well, actually chose to give it up.
- 11:06SPEAKER_00: And now I'm just kind of curating.
- 11:09SPEAKER_00: I think that's what they call it when you just pick specific things.
- 11:12SPEAKER_00: So I'm picking out the books that actually mean something to me, and I'm redoing that.
- 11:16SPEAKER_00: Now that reminds me I need to do a little more decluttering because there are so many books that I just kept them because I paid a certain amount, and I'm like, it doesn't matter what I pay.
- 11:27SPEAKER_00: Maybe somebody else could use them.
- 11:29SPEAKER_00: So just pass them by.
- 11:31SPEAKER_00: That's a good idea.
- 11:32SPEAKER_00: So later today I will purge those out and I will give them away for free.
- 11:38SPEAKER_00: There we go.
- 11:39SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 11:40SPEAKER_00: Now I I'm looking as I'm talking, I'm like, oh my god, I have to purge my dresser.
- 11:45SPEAKER_00: So I'll have to do that too.
- 11:47SPEAKER_00: But things to work on.
- 11:49SPEAKER_00: Now, sometimes one thing I notice is once you become aware of if you're doing like self-work or shadow work or anything like that, there is a point.
- 12:00SPEAKER_00: And let me know if this happens to you because I definitely feel like I'm not alone.
- 12:04SPEAKER_00: And if this happens to you, you are not alone.
- 12:08SPEAKER_00: Where sometimes you just want to not realize what you know, you don't want to analyze everything, you just want to enjoy things, and I do want to bring more fun in my life.
- 12:18SPEAKER_00: I know part of it's been set back due to my condition, but that can't be the excuse that I use forever.
- 12:25SPEAKER_00: The other part is, you know, financial because I'm waiting for some help based on my conditions, but so far I got denied.
- 12:34SPEAKER_00: And that's a whole that's a whole podcast, but I'm still working on that.
- 12:41SPEAKER_00: And that's the thing.
- 12:42SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm a work in progress.
- 12:44SPEAKER_00: I am definitely not perfect, and I always like that progress, progress, not perfection.
- 12:52SPEAKER_00: I've been saying that before I saw it out.
- 12:54SPEAKER_00: Have you ever done that too?
- 12:56SPEAKER_00: Like, you'll say a certain thing, and then all of a sudden everybody's saying that thing.
- 13:04SPEAKER_00: But you were like the OG.
- 13:06SPEAKER_00: Just like I were I wore a lot of sparkly clothes for probably years and years, and how everybody was wearing sparkly clothes.
- 13:14SPEAKER_00: I like to be original.
- 13:15SPEAKER_00: I don't want to be a cookie cutter, and that's where I guess my podcast, some of it is cookie cutter.
- 13:24SPEAKER_00: Hmm.
- 13:25SPEAKER_00: Something to look at.
- 13:27SPEAKER_00: But yes, these are just some of the things that have happened during the year.
- 13:30SPEAKER_00: This is more like uncut, like you can tell that I'm just off the cusp.
- 13:34SPEAKER_00: Sometimes I'm like, well, what else do I want to say?
- 13:37SPEAKER_00: And then I'm like, hmm, I don't know if I have that much else to say.
- 13:41SPEAKER_00: I just know the biggest thing that my podcast did was it it healed me.
- 13:52SPEAKER_00: It not completely, because there is no way we are completely healed.
- 13:56SPEAKER_00: That's always going to be something that you continue to work on.
- 13:59SPEAKER_00: It always evolves, it always it's not a finished project.
- 14:03SPEAKER_00: You're not finished healing, you're not finished, you're just working out what you need to work on.
- 14:08SPEAKER_00: And sometimes the next thing you need to work on is fun.
- 14:12SPEAKER_00: And that's gonna be something I need to incorporate back into my life.
- 14:16SPEAKER_00: A little more fun.
- 14:20SPEAKER_00: And I want to be that silly goofy person, which I am that silly, goofy person.
- 14:25SPEAKER_00: I want to show people that side, yeah.
- 14:27SPEAKER_00: But you know, I guess you gotta be special to see that side of me.
- 14:33SPEAKER_00: So maybe you have that side too, where you don't everybody doesn't see the good, not the good, but the fun side of you.
- 14:39SPEAKER_00: Bring her out more, you know, for you guys, bring them out more.
- 14:42SPEAKER_00: Bring bring out that fun person.
- 14:44SPEAKER_00: Stop worrying about what other people think.
- 14:48SPEAKER_00: I laugh because I am guilty as charged.
- 14:53SPEAKER_00: Oh boy.
- 14:55SPEAKER_00: Yep, and now my train of thought ran away again.
- 14:59SPEAKER_00: This is typical, typical Tina, typical, this is what happens.
- 15:03SPEAKER_00: But I just wanted to share this little bonus episode with everybody.
- 15:07SPEAKER_00: And my next podcast, I'm gonna start.
- 15:10SPEAKER_00: I want to flip it around more of my audience.
- 15:13SPEAKER_00: I want to find out what you guys are doing.
- 15:15SPEAKER_00: I want to hear from you.
- 15:16SPEAKER_00: I want to hear what your struggles are, your wins, your losses, your hard days, your real truth.
- 15:27SPEAKER_00: Okay, guys, so I appreciate all of my listeners, every single one of you.
- 15:33SPEAKER_00: Thank you, thank you so much.
- 15:34SPEAKER_00: And I do hope that I give you some kind of value or something that helps you, something that's like, okay, I can relate to this.
- 15:42SPEAKER_00: This is me, and I just don't want anybody to feel alone.
- 15:46SPEAKER_00: Okay, get it, got it, girl.
- 15:48SPEAKER_00: Let's go, girls.
- 15:49SPEAKER_00: Oh, can I say that?
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: That might be a copyright.
- 15:53SPEAKER_00: Go, girl.
- 15:55SPEAKER_00: Have a great week.
