- 0:19Speaker 2: authentic version of yourself.
- 0:21Speaker 1: We help you shed the shame, grow to a new level.
- 0:23Speaker 3: We're gonna laugh, cry, and talk about the topics everyone
- 0:26Speaker 3: else is too afraid to talk about.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Get ready for your next level of self.
- 0:32Speaker 3: Welcome back to she Rises. Happy Wednesday, everybody, Welcome back
- 0:36Speaker 3: to the podcast.
- 0:37Speaker 1: We're happy to be here.
- 0:38Speaker 2: It's a good day to be alive, guys.
- 0:40Speaker 1: A very good day to be alive.
- 0:41Speaker 3: We are going to be recapping our top ten episodes
- 0:45Speaker 3: from twenty and twenty five and kind of why we
- 0:49Speaker 3: think they did so well, why we think you guys
- 0:51Speaker 3: enjoyed them, and just kind of briefly go over them
- 0:54Speaker 3: in case you are new to the podcast. Firstly, welcome
- 0:56Speaker 3: to she Rises. Welcome to the fam. But if you
- 0:59Speaker 3: haven't listened to these episodes, you can go back and
- 1:01Speaker 3: listen to them if you want to.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Yes, so highly recommend.
- 1:05Speaker 3: Yeah, this isn't no particular order, like, we don't have
- 1:09Speaker 3: the exact number downloads, but our producer just gave us
- 1:11Speaker 3: the top ten, so not in any particular order, but
- 1:15Speaker 3: one of.
- 1:15Speaker 1: The favorites was your sex Tape.
- 1:17Speaker 3: Yes, I think I love this because it was like,
- 1:20Speaker 3: holy shit, this doesn't happen to many people, and if
- 1:23Speaker 3: it doesn't, doesn't get spoken about. So it's juicy, it's interesting.
- 1:26Speaker 3: It's like just not the norm.
- 1:28Speaker 2: No, it's definitely not the norm. And I think as well,
- 1:30Speaker 2: like even if you go back and you want to
- 1:31Speaker 2: listen to it. It's called my sex tape, My Worst Nightmare,
- 1:34Speaker 2: Tiana tells all.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Yeah, and it'll be.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Released probably January twenty twenty five, Yes, January. It was
- 1:40Speaker 2: one of the first episodes we did. Yeah, it is
- 1:42Speaker 2: just a far fetched story. It's not something you hear
- 1:44Speaker 2: very often. It's also not something that women are willing
- 1:46Speaker 2: to be vulnerable about, I think, because of for whatever reason,
- 1:50Speaker 2: shame comes with it, judgment, all that sort of stuff.
- 1:52Speaker 2: But I really wanted to just shed some light and
- 1:56Speaker 2: awareness on those things happening because the reality is like
- 1:59Speaker 2: a lot of that stuff does happen to young women,
- 2:01Speaker 2: and I don't think that there's enough light shed on
- 2:04Speaker 2: that top. And I think it would help a lot
- 2:06Speaker 2: of women who have either been through it before, gone
- 2:09Speaker 2: through something similar, or been exploited in any kind of way,
- 2:12Speaker 2: shape or form, to kind of help them navigate their
- 2:14Speaker 2: own journey of it, you know, to know that they're
- 2:16Speaker 2: not alone, to know that they're not dirty, wrong, bad,
- 2:19Speaker 2: nothing's wrong with them, you know, to just really remove
- 2:21Speaker 2: all of those shame layers.
- 2:22Speaker 3: So actually beautiful, and I think the way you spoke
- 2:24Speaker 3: about it was really beautiful too, because.
- 2:26Speaker 1: I can hear of that stuff happening.
- 2:27Speaker 3: But I think curiosity gets a better of everyone, Like
- 2:30Speaker 3: how did that happen?
- 2:31Speaker 1: It was in charge?
- 2:32Speaker 3: Like what did your parents think? How did you feel?
- 2:34Speaker 3: Like was it were you fully naked? Or was it
- 2:36Speaker 3: was your face in it?
- 2:36Speaker 2: Like?
- 2:37Speaker 3: There was so many questions that I think people were
- 2:39Speaker 3: just interested in knowing, and you really went there, you really.
- 2:41Speaker 2: I did story, Yeah, absolutely, And then when you're done
- 2:43Speaker 2: with that one, I also just did a part two
- 2:46Speaker 2: in this as well. So this was only recently released
- 2:49Speaker 2: this year, in twenty twenty six. And the reason being
- 2:51Speaker 2: is because I kept getting a lot of questions on
- 2:54Speaker 2: just the next steps of that, you know, deeper questions,
- 2:57Speaker 2: you know, the things that I didn't touch on and
- 2:59Speaker 2: really wanting to, like unpack and dive deep into that
- 3:02Speaker 2: experience as well. And I guess I was willing to
- 3:04Speaker 2: go there and you were willing to so we wanted
- 3:06Speaker 2: to do a part two on it.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Yeah, really cool, so go and check that out.
- 3:10Speaker 3: One of the next favorite ones I think this was
- 3:12Speaker 3: like second or third most downloaded episode was The Man
- 3:16Speaker 3: Who Believed In Me Before I did episode one oh six.
- 3:18Speaker 3: This was an episode with my husband. I think everyone
- 3:21Speaker 3: really loved this one because you don't really see Steve
- 3:23Speaker 3: on camera much. He's a much more private person. He's
- 3:26Speaker 3: not really a put his life out on the internet
- 3:28Speaker 3: car guy. He's a behind the scenes kind of guy. Also,
- 3:31Speaker 3: just different to hear a man's perspective on so many
- 3:33Speaker 3: topics that we always touch on that we spoke about relationships,
- 3:37Speaker 3: we spoke about parenting, and he also opened up about
- 3:39Speaker 3: his struggles with drinking and it's a part of our
- 3:42Speaker 3: relationship we just have never really spoken about.
- 3:44Speaker 1: He was super open and vulnerable, and I.
- 3:46Speaker 3: Think it was really nice for women to hear that
- 3:49Speaker 3: if they're struggling with that in their relationship, but also
- 3:51Speaker 3: for men to hear that to go, oh, I can
- 3:52Speaker 3: actually get out of this too, And how damaging and
- 3:55Speaker 3: me to a relationship and just get to know us
- 3:58Speaker 3: a little bit more. So it was a very like
- 3:59Speaker 3: I feel like we really let people into our relationship
- 4:02Speaker 3: in that episode.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Really beautiful to see even and just the way that
- 4:05Speaker 2: you guys navigate everyday life on your owner's individuals and
- 4:09Speaker 2: then also together as a team, because that was one
- 4:12Speaker 2: of like a three episodes we did with Steve overall,
- 4:14Speaker 2: and there was just so much in this episode, especially
- 4:18Speaker 2: just in terms of vulnerability and openness and togetherness that
- 4:21Speaker 2: you got to see. I'm sure a lot of people
- 4:23Speaker 2: would be so interested in that you're dynamic together, right
- 4:26Speaker 2: because people see the little surface level, like you know,
- 4:28Speaker 2: things that they don't really get the depth to, whereas
- 4:30Speaker 2: this you guys go into full depth of everything behind
- 4:34Speaker 2: the scenes. And Yeah, it's just a really really powerful episode, even.
- 4:37Speaker 3: Little stories when we first got together, and yeah, how
- 4:39Speaker 3: he believed in me so much before I ever believed
- 4:41Speaker 3: in myself and I probably wouldn't be doing what I'm
- 4:43Speaker 3: doing and have the confidence I have without him believing
- 4:45Speaker 3: in me like he did, Like he really saw my
- 4:47Speaker 3: full potential before I even though.
- 4:49Speaker 1: I had it.
- 4:49Speaker 3: Yeah, so it's a really cool episode I can see
- 4:51Speaker 3: why everyone loved hearing his perspective. Yeah, it's cool before Yeah,
- 4:56Speaker 3: welcome to to your Rises. That was a big one. Yes,
- 4:58Speaker 3: we've got to welcome Tiana to the podcast.
- 5:02Speaker 2: That that was really cool.
- 5:03Speaker 1: It was really cool.
- 5:04Speaker 3: It's such a big change, I suppose, and we're exciting
- 5:07Speaker 3: for someone to get to know someone new on air.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Absolutely.
- 5:09Speaker 2: I think in that episode we really kind of dived
- 5:12Speaker 2: into how we met, how we made the decision to actually,
- 5:16Speaker 2: you know, go forward together in this and you inviting
- 5:18Speaker 2: me onto the podcast and us doing this together, and
- 5:21Speaker 2: it was really really beautiful, fun, exciting and very open
- 5:24Speaker 2: and honest about my intentions on that episode as well
- 5:27Speaker 2: around never in the past, never wanting to replace anybody,
- 5:30Speaker 2: and forging our own way together in se rises. So
- 5:33Speaker 2: that was really beautiful.
- 5:34Speaker 3: Yeah, even like the reasoning behind the rebrand and changing
- 5:36Speaker 3: the name and everything.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Name, Yeah, building a brand new business, everything like that.
- 5:40Speaker 1: So cool.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:41Speaker 3: And the one after that was introducing the two new
- 5:43Speaker 3: co hosts. Yes, this was more I think it was
- 5:46Speaker 3: more around Freaky Friday, but they just kind of get
- 5:48Speaker 3: embodied everywhere we go.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Yes, absolutely, it was introducing our two new co host
- 5:53Speaker 2: which was actually our alter egos.
- 5:55Speaker 1: It's definitely intesting that.
- 5:57Speaker 2: It's really fun. If you ever feel a little spicy, snappy, bitchy, edgy,
- 6:03Speaker 2: but you're a little bit scared to show people, please
- 6:05Speaker 2: go and listen to this episode. It will free you.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Like no tomorrow.
- 6:09Speaker 2: The response that we had on this episode was next level.
- 6:13Speaker 2: So all the women coming in and sharing with us
- 6:15Speaker 2: their alter egos, freeing themselves from behaviors that they've done
- 6:19Speaker 2: in the past, to really normalize that. Yeah, to just
- 6:21Speaker 2: grow with us, be open in this space together.
- 6:24Speaker 3: Even our friends, like all our friends come to us like,
- 6:26Speaker 3: oh my gosh, my alter egos is I didn't realize
- 6:28Speaker 3: that bitch it can be. And it's so nice, like
- 6:30Speaker 3: let her be unleashed for the moment, like respectfully behind
- 6:32Speaker 3: closed doors. Of course, you get to allay yourself to
- 6:35Speaker 3: be all the things because we are all the things.
- 6:37Speaker 2: We are all the things. Yeah whatever, episode one four six,
- 6:43Speaker 2: we're both getting plastic surgery.
- 6:45Speaker 1: I can see why this one did well.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Look to be fair, we thought this may happen.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a bit baby, Yeah, but it's truth as well.
- 6:52Speaker 1: It is truth.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Yeah, you're gonna have to go.
- 6:54Speaker 1: Listen to it.
- 6:55Speaker 3: I wonder if by the time you guys listen to this,
- 6:56Speaker 3: I've had my upper left on. Oh I think so yeah, wow,
- 7:00Speaker 3: and defense coming up ego, So yeah, we are both
- 7:03Speaker 3: getting plastic surgery. And I think I think you guys
- 7:06Speaker 3: enjoyed this too, because once again, not everyone's very open
- 7:08Speaker 3: about what they get done. And I have no judgment
- 7:10Speaker 3: around people not sharing because the fucking online world.
- 7:13Speaker 1: It's very opinionated and.
- 7:15Speaker 3: There's a lot of projections and judgments and people don't
- 7:17Speaker 3: understand your reasoning. Maybe they don't agree that you need it,
- 7:20Speaker 3: and they'll tell you what you do and don't need.
- 7:23Speaker 3: But it can be noisy. So I see and understand
- 7:25Speaker 3: why people don't share it. So I think that's why
- 7:27Speaker 3: they liked that we share it. That's why I've got
- 7:29Speaker 3: a lot of downloads. I think so too. And it
- 7:31Speaker 3: also it's like, oh, what are they getting?
- 7:32Speaker 1: What are you're doing? Oh my god, getting that she'd
- 7:35Speaker 1: be getting this done? Yes, absolutely so yeah.
- 7:38Speaker 2: By the time, you'll have probably like an update, you know,
- 7:40Speaker 2: an update episode of how that went.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Yeah, I will, I'll do an update episode.
- 7:44Speaker 3: Sure, my gosh, I'm so nervous, so exciting. Okay, another
- 7:49Speaker 3: really loved episode was daddy issues. I'm kind of turned on.
- 7:53Speaker 3: Was this Silver Fox and I was talking about older men?
- 7:55Speaker 3: Or was this the best in submission? I can't remember. No,
- 7:58Speaker 3: this was one of our episodes. Okay, so it was
- 8:00Speaker 3: like probably Silver Fox came into your life at the
- 8:03Speaker 3: beginning when it was kind of.
- 8:05Speaker 2: When he was kind of fine, turned not fun, when
- 8:07Speaker 2: he was giving Prince Charming, when he was love bombing, Yes,
- 8:11Speaker 2: and then he turned evil monster. It was not cooler
- 8:15Speaker 2: the en No, not any one. So that was an exaggeration,
- 8:18Speaker 2: but slightly controlling.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Yes, slightly control, A little.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Hint of controlling. This is a little hint of I'll
- 8:26Speaker 2: do everything for you, But how dare you not pay
- 8:27Speaker 2: for anything?
- 8:28Speaker 1: Yes?
- 8:29Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, okay, well got there another time? Yes,
- 8:32Speaker 3: either one of those episodes, so I don't have too
- 8:34Speaker 3: much context.
- 8:34Speaker 1: I'm not quite sure.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Oh I'm strapping my brain. I can't remember.
- 8:38Speaker 1: That's okay.
- 8:38Speaker 3: You guys gonna have to go search it up and
- 8:40Speaker 3: tell us what you think. It was very popular by everyone.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Who's listened to it. There, you got it.
- 8:44Speaker 3: I'm sure it's a juicy one, which brings us on
- 8:46Speaker 3: to the next one. You bring it in the Worst
- 8:48Speaker 3: Blowjob of My Life. The titles obvious, sais juicy once again.
- 8:54Speaker 3: Anything sex related, you guys love, Oh my God over it.
- 8:58Speaker 3: So this is a story of me giving the worst
- 9:00Speaker 3: blowjob of my life. It's pretty horrific.
- 9:02Speaker 1: It was not fun.
- 9:03Speaker 3: It was actually a little traumatic, not with Steve, with
- 9:07Speaker 3: a man that I dated for a little while and
- 9:10Speaker 3: never saw him again after that. So I'm going to
- 9:12Speaker 3: give all the details away, but yeah, it was awful.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Next one is my unexpected breakup, exposing ourselves in our relationships.
- 9:19Speaker 2: So this was actually about Silverfox. Yes, So this was
- 9:22Speaker 2: a man that I very very briefly dated in the
- 9:25Speaker 2: beginning of last year and it just kind of like
- 9:28Speaker 2: I spoke about him a little bit on the podcast
- 9:30Speaker 2: and spoke very highly of him, and then all of
- 9:32Speaker 2: a sudden, it kind of turned and he just completely
- 9:35Speaker 2: was a very different person than what I had originally
- 9:37Speaker 2: sought in the very beginning. And that's totally fine. Everyone
- 9:40Speaker 2: shows their true colors eventually, but it was just something
- 9:43Speaker 2: that wasn't for me when I kind of dive into
- 9:45Speaker 2: that of like what happened and how it happened, how
- 9:47Speaker 2: it unfolded, and then also exposing ourselves in our relationships.
- 9:51Speaker 2: So just behaviors that really showed up for me in
- 9:54Speaker 2: the relationship because he was very much in a little
- 9:56Speaker 2: bit of an antagonist and it really brought out some
- 9:59Speaker 2: sides to me that I wasn't proud of but also
- 10:01Speaker 2: didn't like either.
- 10:02Speaker 3: So yeah, we kind of like owned like we always
- 10:05Speaker 3: want to do. It's never just one person. We owned
- 10:07Speaker 3: our parts. Yes, the things that we do in relationships
- 10:10Speaker 3: that were kind of like, oh that could need that.
- 10:12Speaker 2: Absolutely, it takes two to tango. We're not here to
- 10:14Speaker 2: point the finger or blame. But also I did share
- 10:16Speaker 2: the story of the unexpected breakup and what happened with
- 10:19Speaker 2: Silver Fox.
- 10:20Speaker 3: So do you see this one was very very popular
- 10:24Speaker 3: sex lies and NDAs the inside scoop how dub dull.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:28Speaker 1: I think this was just around the time where there
- 10:30Speaker 1: was a few.
- 10:31Speaker 3: Rumors circulating online that were absolutely not true and there
- 10:36Speaker 3: was no context given on my side of things. So
- 10:40Speaker 3: I think people kind of got fed some breadcrumbs and
- 10:43Speaker 3: made up their own narrative to what was actually going on.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Yeah, and I'm just not going.
- 10:47Speaker 3: To be the person online that like throws people under
- 10:49Speaker 3: the bus and shows receipts and talks about people like that.
- 10:52Speaker 3: So I kind of just stayed silent and all of that,
- 10:55Speaker 3: but also wanted to clear my name on a few things, yes,
- 10:57Speaker 3: that were being said without throwing people under the bus.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Yes, So that was that episode.
- 11:02Speaker 2: So with that episode, I believe it was us answering
- 11:06Speaker 2: questions from an anonymous box, right, is what you were
- 11:09Speaker 2: responding to, Yes, his questions that all of you had
- 11:12Speaker 2: written in about what was kind of happening in life
- 11:14Speaker 2: at the moment. That's why we labeled it that because
- 11:17Speaker 2: there was talk about like NDA's, there was also talk
- 11:19Speaker 2: about lies. There were things that were said that weren't
- 11:21Speaker 2: true that we wanted to really bring forward and clear up.
- 11:24Speaker 2: So it was a mix of things, deep things, funny things. Yeah,
- 11:27Speaker 2: there were serious things, but there were also a couple
- 11:29Speaker 2: of funny things in there too. Yeah.
- 11:30Speaker 1: It was a big mix.
- 11:31Speaker 3: Just so a big catch up on different things you
- 11:33Speaker 3: guys wanted to know, definitely, and then a beautiful guest
- 11:36Speaker 3: that we had on so losing a child, Luna, just
- 11:39Speaker 3: a story of heartbreak and healing. I think this episode
- 11:42Speaker 3: was just it was just his first time on a
- 11:44Speaker 3: podcast fully sharing everything that happened, when it happened, how
- 11:48Speaker 3: she's feeling, what she's been dealing with over like the
- 11:50Speaker 3: whole four year span since she lost a little girl, Luna.
- 11:53Speaker 3: And I think she's got a really beautiful, engaged audience
- 11:55Speaker 3: that really wanted to understand and see where she's at
- 11:57Speaker 3: with everything.
- 11:58Speaker 2: You know.
- 11:58Speaker 3: I think she does share a lot online beautifully, but
- 12:00Speaker 3: a podcast is a place that you really can go
- 12:02Speaker 3: a lot deeper. And she really was open and super vulnerable.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Yeah, she was really beautiful, and I think like her
- 12:09Speaker 2: being able to share her story so vulnerably while she's
- 12:12Speaker 2: also still going through her own experience and you know,
- 12:15Speaker 2: as she would say, having been handed a few black
- 12:18Speaker 2: cards in her life, she's still so beautiful, so full
- 12:22Speaker 2: of energy, full of beans, has so much love and
- 12:24Speaker 2: life to give. And I think that was such a
- 12:26Speaker 2: beautiful episode to be able to host, Yeah, to give
- 12:30Speaker 2: her a platform to share her story and to talk
- 12:32Speaker 2: about Luna and to talk about, you know, the light
- 12:34Speaker 2: that she brings and the light that she still brings
- 12:36Speaker 2: now on.
- 12:37Speaker 3: Luna's legacy, even being a mum to her little boy
- 12:39Speaker 3: and like a beautiful wife to her partner and her
- 12:41Speaker 3: business and the charity. She runs like incredible woman in
- 12:44Speaker 3: a lot of pain, but man, she really is showing
- 12:47Speaker 3: up and was really proud of her. So I'm really
- 12:48Speaker 3: glad that she got to share her story. And yeah,
- 12:51Speaker 3: everyone wanted to hear her story and hear about Luna
- 12:54Speaker 3: too and also how they can help the charity too,
- 12:55Speaker 3: which was really nice.
- 12:56Speaker 2: Ye, powerful episode and will bring tissues please if you
- 13:01Speaker 2: look to that one, because it is that was late
- 13:03Speaker 2: last year.
- 13:04Speaker 3: I don't know what I know that episode number, but
- 13:06Speaker 3: late November I think good December. That one came out
- 13:09Speaker 3: into the year, so they were our top ten episodes.
- 13:12Speaker 3: We're always open to feedback guys too, like if you
- 13:14Speaker 3: guys ever want to come into our Shoe Rises Instagram
- 13:16Speaker 3: or the Facebook forum, or if you're in our Rise
- 13:19Speaker 3: in Side community, like any topics you'd love us to
- 13:21Speaker 3: cover or guess you'd.
- 13:22Speaker 1: Like us to get on, please let us know. And
- 13:24Speaker 1: that's a message.
- 13:25Speaker 2: We're open books, yes we are, and there's not a
- 13:27Speaker 2: lot of things that we won't explore, so true, yeah,
- 13:30Speaker 2: but pretty open like that we are.
- 13:31Speaker 3: We go there even if we're scared sometimes yes, we
- 13:34Speaker 3: still want to be as open as we can. And
- 13:36Speaker 3: we said this year, like, we've made a promise to
- 13:37Speaker 3: ourselves that we're going to open up even more than
- 13:40Speaker 3: last year.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Yes, so it's going to be some good stories coming here.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Thanks for joining us, guys. We'll see you next week
- 13:46Speaker 1: on Monday. Bye bye
