- 0:05Speaker 1: Apoday production.
- 0:10Speaker 2: We begin today by acknowledging the traditional custodians of the
- 0:13Speaker 2: land on which we gather today and pay our respects
- 0:16Speaker 2: to their elders past and present. We extend that respect
- 0:19Speaker 2: to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people's here today.
- 0:25Speaker 3: Welcome to the Grow and Glow Podcast. I'm Ashy, I'm Kiara.
- 0:28Speaker 3: This is a podcast where we learn.
- 0:30Speaker 4: Laugh, and level up together.
- 0:32Speaker 3: Let's go deep, let the emotions flow, and find the
- 0:34Speaker 3: lessons to Grow and Glow.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Nothing is off the table with Grow and Glow, and
- 0:38Speaker 1: we're here to be your expander. Hi, guys, welcome back.
- 0:45Speaker 4: To Hello and Glow.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Oh. Today I'm going to be sharing a breath work
- 0:52Speaker 1: experience that I had. Hi, I'm really excited to And
- 0:55Speaker 1: then I've asked here if she can reshare some of
- 0:58Speaker 1: yours that you had, because we did do a whole
- 0:59Speaker 1: episode on it. But in case you're new to Grow
- 1:01Speaker 1: and Glow, maybe you've missed that episode. We've done quite
- 1:03Speaker 1: a few episodes now, I wonder how many.
- 1:05Speaker 4: We've done over a hundred.
- 1:07Speaker 3: I think it's like around probably one hundred and ten,
- 1:09Speaker 3: maybe more by the time.
- 1:11Speaker 1: Yes, it was a long time ago. You did that episode. Yes,
- 1:14Speaker 1: So yeah, I want to talk about my experience because
- 1:17Speaker 1: breath work, as we spoke about with Levi, it's very
- 1:19Speaker 1: trendy and people talk about it a lot, and you
- 1:22Speaker 1: see on social media a lot. It is honestly incredible
- 1:25Speaker 1: to experience. So I run the Ultimate Girl's day out,
- 1:28Speaker 1: so I'm always holding space for women because breath work
- 1:31Speaker 1: is one of the activities that we do at our
- 1:32Speaker 1: day retreats, but I don't go and do it a
- 1:34Speaker 1: lot myself, and I always get quite envious of the
- 1:37Speaker 1: girls that come to our days because it's just such
- 1:39Speaker 1: a cool day and to watch them have those releases
- 1:42Speaker 1: and have the visions and have the experience, I'm like,
- 1:45Speaker 1: I want to do that. And I've done probably six
- 1:48Speaker 1: or seven breath works and only one of them I've
- 1:50Speaker 1: had another good experience, But like I had an experience
- 1:52Speaker 1: the rest, I fell asleep. I got distracted by the noise.
- 1:56Speaker 1: I just couldn't drop in for whatever reason. So anyways,
- 1:59Speaker 1: I booked myself in to do this breath work session.
- 2:01Speaker 1: It's really good. We did ice bath and they did
- 2:04Speaker 1: like a little meditation beforehand. But I told myself, I
- 2:08Speaker 1: was like, this is your time. To be held. This
- 2:10Speaker 1: is your time, like go hard, Like make sure I
- 2:13Speaker 1: really put everything into it, because the breath is actually work.
- 2:18Speaker 1: You actually have to be so conscious to be breathing
- 2:21Speaker 1: at a certain rate and taking full breath in because
- 2:24Speaker 1: you're trying to release the DMT. You're trying to get
- 2:26Speaker 1: yourself in an altered state. So it's actually quite hard.
- 2:29Speaker 4: And even like my mouth was getting really.
- 2:32Speaker 1: I've got the biggest slayer of lip. But long before
- 2:35Speaker 1: he started, what idea, Yeah, so I'll set the scene.
- 2:39Speaker 1: We all got stage and we walked in and it's
- 2:41Speaker 1: all dark and there's lights and music going, and then
- 2:44Speaker 1: we all lay down in a circle and we're getting
- 2:47Speaker 1: into it, and I start to feel tingly, which is
- 2:50Speaker 1: quite normal, and I was like, yes, we're going there.
- 2:53Speaker 1: And I've done Ayahuascar once and you feel a lot
- 2:55Speaker 1: of tingly and like sensations in your body and that's
- 2:58Speaker 1: when you know what You're starting to get there. As
- 3:00Speaker 1: I'm feeling this and I'm like, yes, about to drop in.
- 3:03Speaker 1: This woman across me screaming. I'm not talking a cry
- 3:09Speaker 1: or a little release like I'm talking screaming like she
- 3:12Speaker 1: is getting chased by a murderer. Wow, and I freak
- 3:15Speaker 1: the fuck out. I pull my eyemask off. I'm literally
- 3:19Speaker 1: ready to get up and run out the door. Oh
- 3:21Speaker 1: my god. And one of the guys that was facilitating it,
- 3:24Speaker 1: he comes and pushes my shoulders back down, is like,
- 3:26Speaker 1: you're safe, You're okay, and I was like, I start
- 3:29Speaker 1: then crying. I don't like this sound. I don't like
- 3:31Speaker 1: the sound like, get me out. I can't handle the screaming.
- 3:34Speaker 1: And as I'm saying this, I'm trying to stay in it.
- 3:38Speaker 1: But I could also hear like the logical part of
- 3:41Speaker 1: me being like you hold space. I've been doing this
- 3:43Speaker 1: all the time, and I'm fine with that. I love
- 3:46Speaker 1: when they scream and have their releases because I'm not
- 3:49Speaker 1: in a vulnerable state when I'm laying there having my
- 3:51Speaker 1: own experience. I was freaking out. I could not handle it.
- 3:54Speaker 1: And she went on for a little while, and he
- 3:57Speaker 1: need to hold me the whole time and just get
- 3:59Speaker 1: me back to my breath, so i'd like calm down
- 4:01Speaker 1: on my feet's tapping on the ground. I'm like tapping
- 4:03Speaker 1: my arms. I'm crawling out of the ball. I'm like
- 4:06Speaker 1: playing with my eyemask. I'm just so like agitated and
- 4:09Speaker 1: I just want to go. It is too much anyway,
- 4:13Speaker 1: So you got me back breathing. She starts to quiet
- 4:15Speaker 1: and down. I'm back in my breath. I'm like, okay,
- 4:17Speaker 1: I've got this. She's had her release. Now it's my turn. Breathing, breathing, breathing,
- 4:21Speaker 1: start to get the tingles again, she goes again. I'm like,
- 4:25Speaker 1: it's worse this time. I'm like, no, I can't handle
- 4:27Speaker 1: the screaming, like crying, crying, crying. And then the dean
- 4:31Speaker 1: came up to me, the woman that was running, and
- 4:32Speaker 1: she's like, this is your edge. This is what he
- 4:34Speaker 1: used to do, right. He used to yell at you.
- 4:36Speaker 1: You weren't safe. You're safe now. And then I was like, boom,
- 4:40Speaker 1: that's my little girl. She's so scared. So now my
- 4:44Speaker 1: work is to actually tell my body and show my
- 4:47Speaker 1: body that I'm safe because as a little girl, I
- 4:49Speaker 1: didn't feel safe. I used to run away. I would
- 4:51Speaker 1: literally run bait in the middle of the night, like
- 4:53Speaker 1: if we get into an argument, I would run away
- 4:54Speaker 1: and sit on the side of a street in the dark,
- 4:57Speaker 1: like I would always run away from him because I
- 4:59Speaker 1: was so scared. And she's like, this is your edge.
- 5:01Speaker 1: This is your edge, And in that moment, I was like, Okay,
- 5:05Speaker 1: I have to learn to be okay with the noise
- 5:07Speaker 1: and with the screaming, and no matter what is going
- 5:09Speaker 1: on in the world, whether it's COVID, whether it was
- 5:13Speaker 1: my stepdad, whether it was trolls, whatever noise is going
- 5:16Speaker 1: out there, I am safe in my own body. And
- 5:20Speaker 1: in that moment, I just got back to my breath,
- 5:21Speaker 1: back to my breath. And it happened throughout the whole session,
- 5:26Speaker 1: other women having releases and screaming. My friend next to
- 5:29Speaker 1: me screamed really, really loud, and each time it happened,
- 5:32Speaker 1: I was like, this is my age, this is my age.
- 5:34Speaker 1: You're okay, You're safe, and I'd just get back to
- 5:36Speaker 1: my breath. I'd still had physical reactions, like my feet
- 5:41Speaker 1: would start tapping and I would like grab my thighs
- 5:44Speaker 1: and like it's almost like anxious because it felt really
- 5:47Speaker 1: uncomfortable listening to the screams. And then say they would
- 5:51Speaker 1: settle down. Lots of tears came out, massive, massive tears.
- 5:54Speaker 1: I cried so much, and then there was a really
- 5:57Speaker 1: peaceful moment where I went back into the same timeline
- 6:02Speaker 1: as to when I did my inner child healing with Megan,
- 6:05Speaker 1: which Megsy never call a Megan, that's weird, Mesy. So
- 6:08Speaker 1: she with my inner child healing. She took me through
- 6:11Speaker 1: from as young as I can remember up to as
- 6:13Speaker 1: old as I am now, all of my basically really
- 6:16Speaker 1: traumatic moments, and one of them was in I can
- 6:19Speaker 1: literally remember the details of my bedroom. I had different
- 6:22Speaker 1: colored walls, different colored drawers. It was a whole rainbow
- 6:24Speaker 1: room at a single bed. And I remember one night
- 6:27Speaker 1: Andrew was going crazy yelling at me, Mum wasn't home.
- 6:30Speaker 1: It was awful, smacked me. He went down to my
- 6:32Speaker 1: room and I remember sitting at the top of my
- 6:33Speaker 1: bed like in a ball, like rocking, and there I was.
- 6:36Speaker 1: There's this vision of me there rocking, and then Taj
- 6:39Speaker 1: walks in and sits next to me as a little girl,
- 6:42Speaker 1: and he puts his arm around her and comforts her.
- 6:46Speaker 1: And then I walk in as a grown adult and
- 6:49Speaker 1: put my arm around them both, and it was so beautiful,
- 6:53Speaker 1: so made me cry, so beautiful that like had these
- 6:56Speaker 1: two little kids that then, aren't you gonna cry? Don't
- 6:58Speaker 1: you cry? That didn't mean to say don't cry, just.
- 7:01Speaker 4: Because it's good.
- 7:03Speaker 1: We love crying, but it was so beautiful to be
- 7:06Speaker 1: able to hold space for these two little humans and
- 7:09Speaker 1: tell them that they're safe. And I got to give
- 7:11Speaker 1: them in that moment what I would have needed. And
- 7:14Speaker 1: Taj is just like anyone that's metage. He is just
- 7:17Speaker 1: the most beautiful, selfless, caring, loving, so gentle, always thinking
- 7:24Speaker 1: the other person. He's so considerate. He's just such a
- 7:26Speaker 1: beautiful person. And it was so nice to see him
- 7:29Speaker 1: cuddle her because that's what he would like, he would do. Yeah,
- 7:33Speaker 1: he's even got this little friend at school at the moment.
- 7:34Speaker 1: I met her mum a couple of weeks ago and
- 7:37Speaker 1: she said, oh, your son is so beautiful. My little
- 7:39Speaker 1: girls getting bullied at school, and if Taj was not here,
- 7:42Speaker 1: I wouldn't be able to get her here. He's the
- 7:44Speaker 1: only reason that she can show up each day. Now.
- 7:47Speaker 1: I was like, oh, my gosh, So he's just a
- 7:49Speaker 1: beautiful soul. So to watch him put his arm around
- 7:52Speaker 1: my little girl and then me come in and be
- 7:54Speaker 1: able to hold space for them both, it was so beautiful.
- 7:57Speaker 1: It was the best vision, and I just had so
- 8:00Speaker 1: many more tears, but like happiness tears, So the first
- 8:03Speaker 1: tears were like so frightened, scared, wanting to run away
- 8:06Speaker 1: as I always have as little girl growing up, and
- 8:09Speaker 1: then regulating and then being able to have the happiness
- 8:11Speaker 1: of like tears flowing for that. So yeah, it was
- 8:14Speaker 1: really really powerful. At the end when we came out
- 8:18Speaker 1: of it, I think we got about ten minutes to
- 8:20Speaker 1: lay down there more. I really think we should have
- 8:23Speaker 1: had longer. I felt like I was not ready to
- 8:26Speaker 1: come out of that state yet and I needed a
- 8:28Speaker 1: little bit more time just to process and like regulate
- 8:32Speaker 1: in a different way.
- 8:32Speaker 4: Yeah, back to feeling like you're ready to open up.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, exactly. So that was quite hard that I
- 8:38Speaker 1: felt a bit rush to come out of it. But
- 8:40Speaker 1: then we all came in a circle and me and
- 8:42Speaker 1: my girlfriend were big talkers and like, does anyone want
- 8:45Speaker 1: to share in me?
- 8:45Speaker 3: Her?
- 8:45Speaker 1: Like yes, And I also wanted to retell it, so
- 8:48Speaker 1: that's fresh in my memory because sometimes you can walk
- 8:50Speaker 1: away from experience like that and it's just like what
- 8:52Speaker 1: the fuck happened? So I wanted to retell it, so
- 8:55Speaker 1: I just like remembered every detail. But yeah, it was
- 8:57Speaker 1: really interesting just how I know I'm noise sensitive, but
- 9:01Speaker 1: when I'm vulnerable and scared, like I just could not
- 9:04Speaker 1: handle when she picked up on that, and it's cool
- 9:07Speaker 1: she must have known a little bit about my history
- 9:09Speaker 1: with my stepdad. When she's like, this is your age
- 9:12Speaker 1: and sort of used to do and you didn't feel safe.
- 9:14Speaker 1: I was like, oh my goodness, yep, this is my
- 9:17Speaker 1: responsibility now. I need to make sure I feel safe
- 9:19Speaker 1: within my own body. So it was amazing, and I
- 9:22Speaker 1: was like, I want to do more of this because
- 9:24Speaker 1: all of that is like leave. I taught us. Trauma
- 9:27Speaker 1: is stress in the body from something that's happened in
- 9:30Speaker 1: our past that we haven't healed through and released out
- 9:33Speaker 1: of our body. We've stored it, we've parked it to
- 9:35Speaker 1: the side because it's too painful, we don't know what
- 9:37Speaker 1: to do with it, and then we've got unhealthy coping
- 9:40Speaker 1: mechanisms along the way. I just think, no matter what
- 9:42Speaker 1: we go on through life, and trauma doesn't have to
- 9:44Speaker 1: be a huge, massive moment. It can just be a
- 9:47Speaker 1: moment where our needs were not met. That is a
- 9:49Speaker 1: form of trauma. So as we grow up and as
- 9:52Speaker 1: we go in our lives, there's so many little microtraumatic
- 9:54Speaker 1: moments that stored in our body. And even though I've
- 9:58Speaker 1: had that release, like I would love to do this,
- 10:00Speaker 1: I don't know, maybe once a quarter or something and
- 10:03Speaker 1: just see what comes up. Definitely, I felt so good
- 10:06Speaker 1: to get rid of that energy and to learn those
- 10:09Speaker 1: lessons and to see those beautiful visuals. I must say,
- 10:12Speaker 1: though I was absolutely exhausted that week.
- 10:16Speaker 4: I was gonna ask how you felt.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Oh man, I mean, it was a big week of
- 10:21Speaker 1: a lot of things going on. I think that the
- 10:23Speaker 1: week after I was announcing the closure, baseline had my
- 10:26Speaker 1: surgery date booked in, like there was a lot happening,
- 10:28Speaker 1: but I couldn't even function. Got to to day and
- 10:31Speaker 1: I was like, I'm not even the end of the day.
- 10:32Speaker 1: I remember being in my office. Now I've got to
- 10:34Speaker 1: couch my office and I was sitting at my desk
- 10:37Speaker 1: and I honestly felt like my head could have fallen
- 10:39Speaker 1: on the laptop. I was that tired. I laid down
- 10:41Speaker 1: and put in meditation and had to sleep for twenty minutes.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Was anyone that knows me? That's not me. No, I'm
- 10:47Speaker 1: not even a napper like, but I was so tired
- 10:50Speaker 1: for a good solid week.
- 10:51Speaker 4: What about after that week? Did you feel lighter?
- 10:53Speaker 1: I still feel exhausted, I think just the last couple
- 10:55Speaker 1: of years and months of catching up on me. But
- 10:58Speaker 1: I felt lighter and energetically. I feel so much lighter
- 11:02Speaker 1: and calmer and more compassion for my and also just
- 11:06Speaker 1: once again I said it in that big episode announcing
- 11:09Speaker 1: the closure and all the downloads I've had, I think
- 11:11Speaker 1: it's helped me soften more. I just feel like everything
- 11:15Speaker 1: that's happened is happening at the perfect time to push
- 11:18Speaker 1: me in the direction that is meant for me, and
- 11:20Speaker 1: that is to learn how to soften, learn how to
- 11:23Speaker 1: trust my body more, learn to just do life differently
- 11:27Speaker 1: in a way that feels more aligned to me right now,
- 11:29Speaker 1: and meet my self rome at right now. So it
- 11:33Speaker 1: was huge release, but so incredible beautiful. I wanted to
- 11:37Speaker 1: be there to support your little girl. I actually got to.
- 11:39Speaker 3: Contact off Megsie, contact off Megsic because I was like,
- 11:43Speaker 3: I feel like I want to have another release. Yeah, yeah,
- 11:45Speaker 3: because yeah, I want to find someone as well, the
- 11:48Speaker 3: same as you, where I can go, even if it's
- 11:50Speaker 3: like four times a year, just to have a release
- 11:52Speaker 3: and just move this stored energy.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Definitely. So that's the one you're telling me about, No.
- 11:56Speaker 3: That's a different healer, but then Megsi also sent me one,
- 11:59Speaker 3: but I was going to try the one near me
- 12:00Speaker 3: first because this one's up near your way.
- 12:02Speaker 4: But then also I think.
- 12:03Speaker 3: She did come.
- 12:03Speaker 1: I think she did a couple of weeks ago. Is
- 12:05Speaker 1: it not her car practice, but I think it is. Yes, Yes,
- 12:09Speaker 1: an amazing experience. Yes, so cool.
- 12:12Speaker 3: Yeah, and there's so many different ways we can get
- 12:14Speaker 3: releases breath work.
- 12:16Speaker 4: I mean yeah for me as well, it was such
- 12:17Speaker 4: a beautiful.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Way to try to share a little bit of what you.
- 12:21Speaker 3: Yeah, it's so funny, I said to Actually, I'm like,
- 12:23Speaker 3: it feels like so long ago now, so hopefully my
- 12:25Speaker 3: memories up to scratch.
- 12:27Speaker 4: But I remember the.
- 12:28Speaker 3: Same thing as you. I had the sensations of the
- 12:30Speaker 3: tingles in my fingers and my feet, but instead of
- 12:34Speaker 3: like my body moving, I was curling in. Do you
- 12:37Speaker 3: remember that she was there, so she was actually like
- 12:39Speaker 3: watching me and supporting like all of the girls and
- 12:42Speaker 3: me at the time. But I felt similar as in
- 12:45Speaker 3: the way to fully release and let go, and I
- 12:47Speaker 3: started to feel those feelings and I was just.
- 12:48Speaker 4: Like holding on, like you can feel that holding on feeling.
- 12:51Speaker 3: Hey, We're like no, keep it in, give it in,
- 12:52Speaker 3: give it in. And then you came up to me
- 12:54Speaker 3: and you were like, I think you said, just let
- 12:56Speaker 3: it out, put your.
- 12:57Speaker 1: Hands on my shoulders.
- 12:58Speaker 3: And as soon as you said it, like I just
- 13:00Speaker 3: let loose. I just had the biggest sob ever. And
- 13:04Speaker 3: it's like, the crying isn't what you think? The crying,
- 13:07Speaker 3: well what I thought in my head. I thought it
- 13:09Speaker 3: would just be like, oh, like geers flowing down crying.
- 13:11Speaker 3: It's like proper so wailing. That's only the best way
- 13:14Speaker 3: to say it, because it's noisy, it's messy, it's vulnerable,
- 13:18Speaker 3: and yeah, it's so releasing though, like such a beautiful
- 13:22Speaker 3: feeling to have a cry like that.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Isn't it? Because we just don't allow it. We don't
- 13:26Speaker 1: allow ourselves and give ourselves permission to do that anymore.
- 13:28Speaker 1: Watched Tyler, She lets it all out. Oh yeah, to
- 13:32Speaker 1: your girlfriend, you feel comfortable and safe. You don't have
- 13:35Speaker 1: any shame around that stubs your toes. Like, but we
- 13:40Speaker 1: somewhere along the line just push it all down. I know. Yeah.
- 13:44Speaker 3: In my experience, I was in the cupboard. I was
- 13:45Speaker 3: a little girl in my cupboard. I remember I had
- 13:47Speaker 3: my knees tucked up into my chest. I'm trying to
- 13:49Speaker 3: visualize it, so I'm moving myself into the position, and
- 13:52Speaker 3: I was rocking back and forth, and I remember opening
- 13:55Speaker 3: my eyes and I was peeking out the hole like
- 13:57Speaker 3: the crack through the sliding door of the cupboard. And
- 14:01Speaker 3: I can't remember exactly what happened, but I do remember
- 14:03Speaker 3: at one point I came in and I got down
- 14:07Speaker 3: onto their level, like my own level as me as
- 14:09Speaker 3: a little girl, and I put my arms out and
- 14:11Speaker 3: I said like, come here, I've got you. There was
- 14:14Speaker 3: something to a light, and she went to walk towards
- 14:17Speaker 3: the light first, I think, and then I was like, no, no.
- 14:19Speaker 1: I've got you. I've got you, and she ran back
- 14:20Speaker 1: and cuddled me.
- 14:22Speaker 3: But yeah, it's just one of those experiences in life
- 14:24Speaker 3: that is so transformational, and until you actually experience it,
- 14:28Speaker 3: it sounds.
- 14:28Speaker 1: Quite woo woo. It does.
- 14:30Speaker 4: It sounds quite.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Out of time, comfortable and scary.
- 14:32Speaker 3: Yeah, And you don't know what's gonna come. You don't
- 14:35Speaker 3: know what you're going to feel in those moments. But
- 14:37Speaker 3: I remember afterwards I did feel quite exhausted, quite drained
- 14:40Speaker 3: and tired. But it was like only two days or
- 14:42Speaker 3: so late for me, and I was like, oh my gosh,
- 14:43Speaker 3: I just feel like there was like a weight lifted
- 14:46Speaker 3: off my shoulders and mine was at the Ultimate Girl's
- 14:48Speaker 3: day Out, And I feel like the timing of the
- 14:51Speaker 3: way that you guys do it there is amazing. I
- 14:53Speaker 3: feel like, you know, you get to know everyone, you
- 14:56Speaker 3: get really comfortable with everyone. You do a yoga session,
- 14:58Speaker 3: you you know, vulnerable with your art therapy, so you
- 15:02Speaker 3: feel really safe in this environment.
- 15:04Speaker 1: In when you're body because of the dance class. Yeah,
- 15:07Speaker 1: I don't think people realize, but like the way Leaver
- 15:09Speaker 1: and I structured that day is actually very intentional like that, yes,
- 15:13Speaker 1: because each activity that we do is designed to help
- 15:15Speaker 1: you drop in and create safety within the environment and
- 15:18Speaker 1: the group that when it comes to the breath work,
- 15:20Speaker 1: there's no ego, there's no wall, there's complete safety, not
- 15:24Speaker 1: only with us as the facilitators, but with the girls
- 15:26Speaker 1: that you've bonded with all day. And that's why we
- 15:29Speaker 1: have such incredible transformational releases because of that level of safety.
- 15:33Speaker 1: And that's why I haven't had that in the other
- 15:36Speaker 1: times I've done it. I think because I've just like
- 15:37Speaker 1: rocked up to do this breathwork session. I don't even
- 15:39Speaker 1: know the facilitator, and I don't think I can drop in, yeah,
- 15:42Speaker 1: because I think you have to go to a day
- 15:44Speaker 1: like this where you get that connection and level of safety.
- 15:46Speaker 1: It's really important.
- 15:47Speaker 4: It's beautiful and even at the end too.
- 15:50Speaker 1: I like that for ages.
- 15:51Speaker 3: Yeah, after my breathwork session, I remember when I first
- 15:54Speaker 3: opened my eyes up, I was like all I realized
- 15:56Speaker 3: was like, holy Doly. We had these imaarks on, which
- 15:58Speaker 3: are amazing too. They block out everything, but I was like,
- 16:01Speaker 3: they are drenched. I remember I sat up and I
- 16:03Speaker 3: could like ring them out.
- 16:05Speaker 4: You had so many tears.
- 16:07Speaker 3: But then it was beautiful and even when we did
- 16:10Speaker 3: decide to finally sit.
- 16:11Speaker 4: Up, you could just sit there.
- 16:12Speaker 3: Yeah, take your te and like you're right, you do
- 16:14Speaker 3: need that after a breath Yeah.
- 16:16Speaker 1: So much. So hey, uh huh, it's so amazing. I
- 16:20Speaker 1: just think it's so cool if everyone wants to experience that.
- 16:22Speaker 1: And you might be listening thinking I don't have any trauma.
- 16:25Speaker 1: You do? You do? Everyone has stress. Like I said,
- 16:29Speaker 1: it doesn't have to be one big significant event like
- 16:31Speaker 1: you might have had a great childhood, but there is
- 16:33Speaker 1: micro moments of storage stress in your body. Definitely, you
- 16:37Speaker 1: feel so much lighter and the lighter you feel, the
- 16:39Speaker 1: more that you get to clear it just helps you
- 16:42Speaker 1: gain clarity on who you are, what you want on life,
- 16:45Speaker 1: how you're showing up, what's working, what's not, and then
- 16:48Speaker 1: you can make more aligned decisions. Yeah, which in the
- 16:50Speaker 1: end that's so important. Definitely. So as you keep just
- 16:53Speaker 1: showing up, out of pattern, out of habit, out of
- 16:56Speaker 1: what you know you think you should be doing, you're
- 16:58Speaker 1: not as conscious. Yeah, you kind of sleep walking through life.
- 17:01Speaker 4: Definitely.
- 17:02Speaker 3: Once you become conscious, it's very hard to become unconscious
- 17:04Speaker 3: of you.
- 17:04Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, you can't once you're away, you can't go
- 17:07Speaker 1: back to sleep walking through life. No, no, no. Yeah.
- 17:10Speaker 4: And would you want to know exactly so much a purpose?
- 17:13Speaker 1: Definitely not so. Yeah, I'm really excited to do more
- 17:16Speaker 1: shes just finding the right places to do it.
- 17:18Speaker 4: Ultimate Girls Day Out was amazing.
- 17:20Speaker 1: Honestly, Yeah, it is really good. I don't want to
- 17:23Speaker 1: toot our own horn, but like, honestly, I've been to
- 17:25Speaker 1: so many days and just no one does it like us. Yeah,
- 17:28Speaker 1: it's incredible, really, Like I've been to a couple and
- 17:31Speaker 1: they've been okay, and some of the activities of love
- 17:34Speaker 1: someone like mah, but what we do there. It is
- 17:37Speaker 1: next level and the whole day's jampack like that. Like
- 17:40Speaker 1: I felt like this when I went to It was
- 17:42Speaker 1: really good, but there was a lot of like sit
- 17:43Speaker 1: down talking and stuff where I don't know, Yeah, I
- 17:46Speaker 1: feel like there could have been.
- 17:47Speaker 4: There's so much value in one way.
- 17:49Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, being someone who's like gone and attended and
- 17:52Speaker 3: had the whole experience, like you literally wake up at
- 17:55Speaker 3: sunrise and from sunrise till literally nighttime, like the amount
- 17:59Speaker 3: of knowledge that you learn. Like I remember going home
- 18:02Speaker 3: and just being like I need to just like write
- 18:03Speaker 3: everything down here because it's just so much even art
- 18:06Speaker 3: therapy and I still do that to this day, like
- 18:08Speaker 3: my painting, and like I love art therapy.
- 18:11Speaker 1: I feel like art therapy is one of the moments
- 18:13Speaker 1: where the women get most vulnerable, and that's where we
- 18:15Speaker 1: learn so much about them. That the stories they share
- 18:18Speaker 1: and how much they learn about themselves through art, it
- 18:20Speaker 1: blows my mind every time. When Levi first suggested to
- 18:23Speaker 1: me about art therapy putting it in there, I was like,
- 18:26Speaker 1: what the hell is that? Like I'd never done it,
- 18:28Speaker 1: and I just trusted his leader. I was like, okay,
- 18:30Speaker 1: because his mum runs it and every single time it
- 18:33Speaker 1: blows my mind. I loved it. It's so cool. Yeah,
- 18:36Speaker 1: very special.
- 18:37Speaker 4: So when is your next ultimate girls day out?
- 18:39Speaker 1: Yes, it's happening August eleventh, and this is our first
- 18:42Speaker 1: one in Brisbane. Oh yes. So we've done like I
- 18:44Speaker 1: think five or six on the Gold Coast. We've done
- 18:47Speaker 1: one in Melbourne, one in Adelaide, and Brisbane's next. We'd
- 18:50Speaker 1: like to do a Sydney one. I'm just going to
- 18:52Speaker 1: see how the rest of the year pans out. But yeah,
- 18:54Speaker 1: Brisbane August eleventh is so exciting, life changing day, life changing.
- 18:59Speaker 1: If you can get yourself there, it's one of the
- 19:01Speaker 1: best days of your life that it'll just be a
- 19:02Speaker 1: core memory.
- 19:04Speaker 3: And it's also like really great place to start your journey,
- 19:06Speaker 3: I feel like, because you go there and you learn
- 19:08Speaker 3: so much for any area of your journey, Like whenever
- 19:10Speaker 3: you want to go have a releaser. I think it's amazing.
- 19:12Speaker 3: But especially if you're like, oh, I don't know, it's
- 19:14Speaker 3: like no, if you're not sure, like yeah, go do it.
- 19:16Speaker 1: And if you wanted to surround yourself with like minded people,
- 19:19Speaker 1: because everyone's there wanting the same things, they're on that
- 19:21Speaker 1: similar vibration of wanting to grow and expand and unpack
- 19:25Speaker 1: and be around women that can hold them. You know.
- 19:28Speaker 1: I think that's really special, and that's really hard to
- 19:30Speaker 1: find adult friendships and people that on that same page.
- 19:32Speaker 3: Definitely well aligned friendships.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Yeah, so looking for a sign to do it. This
- 19:38Speaker 1: is it.
- 19:39Speaker 3: Thanks for sharing your experience to ability.
- 19:41Speaker 4: It's awesome here. I've been waiting to hear, waiting for
- 19:44Speaker 4: the podcast.
- 19:45Speaker 1: I want to tell you to go on there. I
- 19:47Speaker 1: was like, oh wait, oh, so freaking cool. All right, well,
- 19:50Speaker 1: we'll see you guys. Don't forget. We have a little
- 19:52Speaker 1: short episode on Friday. Otherwise, we'll see you next week
- 19:55Speaker 1: on Monday.
- 19:55Speaker 4: See you then, Fine,
