- 1:44[SPEAKER_04]: Way more fun.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_04]: Way more fun.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_04]: Because you and I have shared so just when you're here, you're like, oh, did you know if you spray this ant like antibacterial stuff on your armpits and then your deodorant, it lasts longer and I was like, life has changed.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_04]: I don't even know how to start that process, but I'm going to.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_04]: Anyway, we are going to jump right into things today is March 12th, 2026.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_04]: It's Girl Scouts Day, everyone.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_04]: I love Girl Scouts Day.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_04]: I tell the players like, do you know it's Girl Scouts Day?
- 2:09[SPEAKER_04]: She's like, are you serious?
- 2:10[SPEAKER_04]: I'm like, yeah, it is.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_04]: So steal your solve.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_04]: Dieters be aware.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_04]: This is obviously like pre, you know, body neutrality.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_04]: They're a girl scouts everywhere and they're all trying to sell you kryptonite aka they're most delicious cookies Whether your favorite flavor flavor is minty thin mint or guggy, guggy, guggy, guggy, Tagalogs those are my two favorites both the guggy and the guggy
- 2:33[SPEAKER_04]: I love that I love a sentiment if I could have gluten and dairy I would be all over these I will go scouts of America I'm just saying in the year for love make a gluten free cookie, but it's not well, and the year of our lower twenty six I think you could find a way to make a gluten free cookie in Vegas There's a brewery who does girl scout cookies with beers and they like do a whole thing It's like I don't know Google it Vegas.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know where it's at because I can't drink beer or have these cookies But I do know that I sent all the men in my life to do it and they had the best time
- 3:01[SPEAKER_04]: They're so good.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_04]: They deserve a holiday.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_04]: And they have one of sorts.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_04]: Get ready to celebrate this March 12th because it's National Girl Scout Day, part of Girl Scout Week.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_04]: National Girl Scout Day commemorates the anniversary of the first Girl Scout meeting in 1912, Julia Daisy, Gordon Low, organized the meeting.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_04]: That's a name.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_04]: That's a name.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_04]: That's definitely a sign of the times.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_04]: You're going toize the meeting in Savannah, Georgia, and girls get to have only grown from there.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_04]: So grab a cookie for 12 and get ready to celebrate.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_04]: Honestly, buy them, maybe you can't eat them and give them to people.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_02]: You can, yeah, you can actually donate them to soldiers and folks like on their website too.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's easy.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_02]: And actually, you can just donate money to help girls scout troops.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_04]: Because that would allow girls scout troops of all areas to be able to join in and do what they want to.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_02]: And I was a daisy through senior girl scout.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_02]: It really changed my life.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm a girl scout supporter.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_04]: I love that.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_04]: I, you know, Girl Scouts weren't a thing for me because I think I don't know.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_04]: I, I think I, because my, I was already over-scuttled to the child.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_04]: So many sports sports dance, sewing classes, but, and I was in like a church version of the whole thing, which still had patches, and you know what I'm just going to say, I missed out.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_04]: I missed out.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_04]: I think that's why I probably don't have as many girlfriends.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_02]: We could be a girl and we could be a don't gross counts man.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_04]: How does that is there a way to do that?
- 4:14[SPEAKER_04]: Because I want patches.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_04]: Do you remember, okay, hold on.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_04]: Side note, do you remember a troop Beverly Hills?
- 4:19[SPEAKER_04]: I love troop Beverly Hills.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_04]: Shout out to a good movie.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_04]: The best movie, like the opposite of like, oh my god, her outfit.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_04]: Beverly Hills, what a thrill.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_04]: Beverly Hills and like, they do that.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_04]: And like, I love how they made up their own patches.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_04]: Like, I just like, that was a, that's a B.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_04]: It tell you see it movie.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, so that's your word for no one's trying for the rich girls, but also like, I liked what they did.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_04]: They got outside.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_04]: They tried new things.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_04]: And I hope it age as well.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_04]: Sorry if it doesn't.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 4:43[UNKNOWN]: So.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know, okay.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_04]: So real quick, I leave next week for Poland.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_04]: So if there's space, it's not too late.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_04]: XXLL.co slash Poland.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_04]: It's me and Karen freshman and all the Contrology stuff and it's a really epic workshop step.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_04]: And even if you're not Polish, you can come because Karen and I will seek an English and it'll be translated to Polish and so you have double the time to write your notes and then we'll be in Bruges and I thought we're in Brussels.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_04]: So this is why Brad travels with me because I've been telling everyone we're going to be in Brussels and we are going to be in Bruges.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_03]: It's good to have everyone needs a brand everyone needs a brand and when I told me he's like I just the reason I didn't think I'd ADHD's because I was an inquarious.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_03]: This is a this is evidence
- 5:23[SPEAKER_03]: I love this for you then.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_04]: I know.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_04]: Axexll.co slash brosols to get your tickets to bruise.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_04]: It's still in Belgium, so I didn't fuck it up that much and so it's going to be a really fun time.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_04]: That's Karen, Frischman, and myself, and Ignacio, and Ells of Pila Tels, and it's just going to be a wonderful time with some friends who love to teach to a long sunny each other, and you're going to want to come because the spots are almost sold out.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_04]: And then after Brad and I finally get to France, that's the goal.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_04]: It's been a set time with a second honeymoon.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_04]: We'll be in London, and I'll probably be the last moment in London for a couple of years.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_04]: So xxll.co-p-o-t. Actually, you can see all the POTs from Mount's body on that schedule.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_04]: The only one I'm excited to teach at right now that I can share is
- 6:00[SPEAKER_04]: London.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_04]: So you want to come.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_04]: My first workshop is sold out, but the second one has a couple spots left.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_04]: And that's in a Sunday.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_04]: So why not?
- 6:07[SPEAKER_04]: And then when I come home, we'll be doing spring training.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_04]: That is a virtual week-long event where no matter your polyse level, we are going to help you understand the foundations to getting polyse deeper in your body.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_04]: It's at opc.me slash events.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, Larry's taking over the, I am the questions and so it's like, what is Claire going to ask me that they're always kind of fun and kind of scary.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_02]: So today you're going to get a multiple choice.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_02]: Are you ready for that?
- 6:37[SPEAKER_02]: I'm ready.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_02]: Would you rather be able to teleport so you can go anywhere at any time in an instant?
- 6:44[SPEAKER_02]: Would you rather have six more hours in the day and it won't feel like your days any longer?
- 6:47[SPEAKER_02]: It's just like you'll have six more hours to get.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_02]: all the stuff done and everybody else will be on 24.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_02]: Or would you rather have like an uncalled body technician to like massages, do your hair, do your makeup, you know, anything you want that like is self-care body stretch you out anything?
- 7:04[SPEAKER_02]: What of those three would you rather have?
- 7:06[SPEAKER_04]: Well, instant, my first gap before I heard the second two would have, I would have hit the buzzer and like teleport because it's like the problem.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_04]: I wanted to teleport.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_04]: I hate the time and like in between things.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_04]: But when you got me to the third one, it was the on like the body technician like I do.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_04]: I am jealous at like,
- 7:22[SPEAKER_04]: These amazing famous people have like someone who like does their hair does their nails like I have to do my makeup And I hate the lighting in my bathroom.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_04]: I make up is I realized I could just switch bathrooms, but like no the annex is the bathroom So I but so I just want someone to do that for me because I look so good when someone else does it like Cynthia Revelle
- 7:41[SPEAKER_04]: her team is amazing right obviously she has good like aesthetic and like lens and and style but like that's what happens when you have an on call team so i think i have to do number three yeah yeah that's a good one i don't know if i could be doing like if someone's doing my hair i could be actually getting other things done so i think i would like solidly fixed number we let know how you like to multi
- 8:06[SPEAKER_02]: Even though I think I would like the on-body technician, I think I would take teleport because if I could save the time in traveling, I think I would just like, I mean, I can kind of sat here in, I got on traveling for two weeks.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm like a travel, it makes me, if I don't hydrate enough, I don't do so well.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_02]: So I think I would take teleport.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_02]: What do you think Brad would do?
- 8:26[SPEAKER_04]: Brad, it's about a teleport in a second.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_02]: One D?
- 8:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, a second.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, well, we'll have to see maybe he can put in the show notes and confirm that for it.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but it was.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_04]: So I did the show now.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_04]: We'll go read the show notes to see if I got it right.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_04]: We'll put it there if you don't have to find the show notes.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_04]: I can't help you don't know what your device you're on.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_04]: But like, usually if you go to the episode, then you can click there's a link for the show notes.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_04]: Or if you go to our website, you actually can see every single podcast has the blog and a transcriptions.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_04]: If you want to read what we're saying, because I talked to fast.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_02]: And then you can binge everything, too, all the podcast you've done.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_04]: There's everything is there.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_02]: Do there, you know.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_04]: So how we like it.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, should we talk about Rachel Vargan before we do that?
- 9:02[SPEAKER_04]: You need to also send your questions in because Claire can't be here every week to be the question.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_04]: Let's go.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_04]: So go to be at pod.com slash questions.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_04]: You can also send your wins in.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_04]: I, I, I, I, I share those on Fridays.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, fantastic.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_02]: I love this.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_02]: I love it.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_02]: You can also text them, right?
- 9:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_02]: 1, 3, 1, 0, 9, 0, 5, 5, 5, 3, 4.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, someday I'll but remember that number and then I'll become like, who should we call an emergency?
- 9:23[SPEAKER_04]: And I'll be like, that's the one I know.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_02]: Why is it your own voice?
- 9:29[SPEAKER_02]: I will, you know what?
- 9:33[SPEAKER_04]: Here's the, I'm gonna die when I actually put that number down for Brad and they're like, I got your customer service team is like, look, I'm calling your customer service, you can call mine.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, now let's talk about Rachel Varga is a double board certified aesthetic nurse specialist who has been practicing since 2011 created skincare products and hosts the school of Radiance podcast as a traditionally trained aesthetic nurse she's performed thousands of rejuvenation procedures on patients including peels, lasers, injectables and assisting with surgery.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_02]: After years in traditional medical aesthetics, she incorporated biohacking, longevity practices, and home care routines that make a significant long-term difference.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_02]: You can see it in lessly already, and it's been short-term.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_02]: Her overall mission is to help people both look and feel their best.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_04]: Oh my gosh, okay, so here's the out.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_04]: She's been on this podcast her second time.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I have to have her back because there's like so many tools coming on too, but I really was like peppering her with like, do I need to like, derma plane?
- 10:35[SPEAKER_04]: Do I need to do this kind of thing?
- 10:37[SPEAKER_04]: Like, anything?
- 10:37[SPEAKER_04]: I was like, what about the Gosha?
- 10:39[SPEAKER_04]: Should I do this?
- 10:39[SPEAKER_04]: X Y Z.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_04]: So I'm going to tell you right now.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_04]: We can't get into all the things because she said it best and she's the expert.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, just listen to the podcast, but I will say so what I love that she said is like self care, particularly your morning and evening rituals aren't act of self love.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_04]: And if you don't know itself, love is go listen to my self love series.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_04]: It came out in February, but like I think that that is a lot of people are like trying to find the new the right mascara are right foundation color, but truly like
- 11:07[SPEAKER_04]: When I got rid of my fake lashes and I was like a mole rat with like no lashes like like I'll piece on my eyes No friends people that I'll piece it, but like it was like a shocking difference from having such a savings hero And the girl was helping I said you have to teach me how I make that because I've had fake lashes for five years So I've just never done it and she said look
- 11:27[SPEAKER_04]: the best makeup doesn't work on bad skin.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_04]: So your best thing you could be doing for looking beautiful is to have a really good skincare routine.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_04]: Now luckily I did do that because I have a Californian, it's afraid of wrinkles, all that stuff, but like so I was like okay, so I'm halfway there and so I couldn't agree with her more about like,
- 11:46[SPEAKER_04]: your evening night routines are part of the self-love that you can give yourself and also like she gave you in that episode so many ways of doing things for free or for low cost money and then she stress the importance of of engaging the pair of sympathetic nervous system so your body's rest in regenerate mode ladies like if you are not sleeping you're not digesting if you're not digesting you're not absorbing stuff you're hitting high cortisol that is not fun in the pyramid of pods so it is not um it's not fun
- 12:12[SPEAKER_04]: Start those practices now.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_04]: So you should and if you're already in it and you're like us, like if you owe it to yourself to try out something and one thing in a time, try on two all the things at a time.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_04]: It really help you intentionally drop into your pair of some of the nervous system.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_02]: Well, and to piggyback on that, like do one thing at a time, even though you're like, I mean, I took notes and not like and I know you did do and like all the things, try one thing at a time and give it like a week or two to see if it's actually working for you.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_02]: Because if you do five things at once, I mean, yes,
- 12:42[SPEAKER_02]: care you can.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_02]: You won't know what's working.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_02]: You don't know what's working.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_04]: And then you can't drop it off and then you're in a freak out like, oh my god, I can't take this on the plan.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_04]: I can't do this.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_04]: So I was on a podcast with Jessica Valant, her her podcast and she was asking about like when I travel how I take care of myself and I'm like, because when I'm at home, I'm so good about knowing all the different things that work for me.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_04]: I know what I can do when I travel and what I can't get away with.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_04]: I'm not experimenting on a trip.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_04]: So, but you have to do one thing at a time.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_04]: the more beautiful you are going to be perceived as.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_04]: And that is so true.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_04]: I don't ever see someone walking around stressed out going, look how pretty she is.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_04]: You're kind of like, oh my god, that woman scares the hell out of me.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_04]: Like, but we like see these people who look so calm and confident.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_04]: It's like, oh, because they're a pair of some of that in nervous system.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_04]: It's like totally taking like getting it, it wouldn't mean.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_02]: well, and two of the easiest way to help.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_02]: It's the Wonder Woman pose that was big a couple years ago, you know, the little girl next to the ball, put your arms on here and your shoulders back and down, and like already, like if you're watching on YouTube, you can see like Leslie and I just became 10 times more beautiful.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, um, just that ourselves and our chairs, you totally do.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_02]: It posture does so much for you.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_02]: And like, and it does actually do something to your heart and makes you like, radiate and opens up your chest in your body.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_02]: And then humming, like honestly, if you're nervous about anything, it will also help you regulate.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_02]: This is, I'm, I'm a train singer.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_02]: So like, that and Brad can probably like recount the stupid just humming to yourself, even if it's quietly, even in the car, if you're traveling to something that you're nervous about,
- 14:12[SPEAKER_02]: just hum.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_04]: Also, just inhale for five counts and exhale for five counts.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_04]: So the perfect breath is between 10 and 11 seconds long.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_04]: And if you just go inhale and count an exhale and count, you can, I can feel myself even just talking about it.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_04]: Like drop in.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_04]: There's also a way that you can breathe.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_04]: You do two in-house.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_04]: One exhale.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, and that's an instant reset as well.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, all the growth work on the growth work.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_04]: I know so I mean like you might even have tools that you used to do and we haven't brought them up and you haven't done them in a while and I would say it's worth it to do because like my my Sephora girl said I can teach you all the makeup tips in the world, but if you are tired and stressed out and your skin is not.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_04]: you know, shiny and glowy, like it won't be as wonderful.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_04]: And we're talking about beauty, like beauty skin deep.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_04]: I think it's really truly like how you take care of the skin that you're in, then whatever you apply to that is gonna be better.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_04]: Just how you make up it can actually just be maybe don't wear any makeup.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_04]: But like just taking care of yourself is gonna be a really nice, wonderful thing.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_02]: And also just like again, got a check when you're like, when something feels like it's too much for you or like too long of a,
- 15:21[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, take care of yourself in any way you can, but if it's too long of a commitment or too difficult for you to resource the things like, don't like it's not it's not going to help you know and and real quick, I'll just say one of the things that I have been doing from this talk is every time the apps and salt baths.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_04]: And like, has like, you know, I'm paraming a puzzle on like inflammation, all these things and like my joints were bothering.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_04]: And everyone's like, Epsen saw about, are you kidding me?
- 15:44[SPEAKER_04]: My bath is set up as a coal plunge.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_04]: I can't have a coal plunge and saw bath.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_04]: So I was just like, and I'm not a bath person.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_04]: Like the coal plunge is easy because I can drop in.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_04]: I wake up right up, right?
- 15:53[SPEAKER_04]: But like a bath that's kind of like that, like you just said, it takes more time than I want to give it.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_04]: And so like the like, it just doesn't feel like doable, right?
- 16:02[SPEAKER_04]: Who's gonna take a five minute hot bath?
- 16:03[SPEAKER_04]: The first one takes 15 minutes to load the tub up, right?
- 16:06[SPEAKER_04]: And I'm in Vegas, and they check our water.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_04]: So anyway, she said, you don't even need to do an absence all bath.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, she said, get some oil off of Cotto or like, I think you've been assessing me, but like single sourced oil, put it on your body in the shower.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_04]: So I got hot shower on me.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_04]: I put the oil on and then I just take a bag of absence all about I put my wet hand in it.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_04]: It's covered an absence all and I just scrub and she was very clear on the episode where not to scratch about that.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_02]: So she said you were doing it.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_04]: I do it.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_04]: I don't do it every single night just because it is a drier climate here, but I do it at least every other night.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_04]: But if I'm having, if I had a more stressful day, I'll just do it anyways, even if I did the night before.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_04]: So, arms, legs, and I first thought, I don't even even put lotion on afterwards.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_04]: It's like your skin is so soft.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_04]: It's like when went to the Korean spot.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_04]: And like,
- 16:52[SPEAKER_04]: They took off the skin.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_04]: So so soft and I sleep like a baby.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_04]: You get all the benefits of the Epson salt bath without having to take the bath and then it all just washed down the drain.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_04]: So real quick, we have a bag of Epson salt on subscription.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_04]: So it comes.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_04]: It's a wonderfully sour of Epson salt.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_04]: And then we took those like restaurant like mustard, sweet, and we just poured a bunch of oil in it.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_04]: It's in the shower and it's just like easy, easy, and you walk out so clean and I have a
- 17:19[SPEAKER_02]: And what I really loved was her skeptical on a lot of these, like I loved that you were like asking about all these tools.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_02]: And she was like, well, and she like, she had opinions on all of them.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_02]: You're like, you could hear it.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_02]: But she was also like, yeah, and I love that she like gave you different things to do.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_02]: Like you asked her about face yoga and should you do it.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_02]: And she was like, no, do the lymph node things.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_02]: And like automatically I was starting to do that and like, and you know, press things.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_02]: And it felt so much better.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_02]: gave you things like, you know, was the, was the lady who did the thing on the one side of her face, like, didn't do it or actually work.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_02]: She's like, well, it could be that because because he sleeps on that side, and because she, like, she drives and gets on on that side.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_02]: I think things you don't think about.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_04]: I know.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_04]: She's like, she had a healthy skepticism that made me go, oh, okay.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_04]: Like, I'm watching it, and I know that there's, like, fake stuff out there, but also like,
- 18:10[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know, like my girlfriend does this like brushing to her face and it her face looks so good.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_04]: So, you know, like, but it's that lymphatic drainage stuff.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_02]: Like so, oh, and lymphatic drainage is something like I'm convinced that's actually why I have this little bit of a head cold right now, because I had like a massage with like massive lymphatic
- 18:27[SPEAKER_04]: She's gonna send a link of like what you should be doing.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I'm pleased.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_02]: Please reach on please And it please please like I would listen to you and like I'm following you and I'm doing all the things But I I'd love to that like that just working out like things that you do and adding to your normal routine I think you you mentioned like can I do the the massage while I'm putting on my facial Ocean and she was like yes, absolutely
- 18:49[SPEAKER_04]: Is that great because you're already doing it?
- 18:51[SPEAKER_04]: You're already doing your skincare and you can just like make sure your hands are nice and moisturized and you can do the things.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_04]: I'm like, if you're watching this, I'm like, doing the things and like, it really does make a massive difference.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_04]: So it does.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_02]: It does.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_02]: And make sure your hands are clean and moisturized, not just like you've had french fries and you're like, ooh, there's some weird.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_04]: Like that's not, let's not make it.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_04]: Let's not.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_04]: That's not, it's like they know good deed goes on punishment.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_04]: Like don't fuck up, we are so totally clean your hands.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_04]: I think people to wash their hands more.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_04]: But anyways, I couldn't agree more, and I just keep going back to like self-care as such, and a self-active love and life.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, we always think, oh, I should go get a facial.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, I should go get a massage, and I think you could be doing like little massages to yourself.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, again, not after French fries, but like at the stoplight, like you're driving in your car, you could just sound like quick, like knuckle, gouache on yourself, press those lymph nodes in your, in your clavicle and release things.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_04]: Oh yeah, I love this one girl, my, she like shows you like, okay, clear your things and I'm like, whenever I see her, I'm like, let's just clear up.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_04]: Like, what are we doing here?
- 19:50[SPEAKER_04]: And I feel like mine are so tight.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_04]: No wonder like my eyes are always so puffy.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, so I'm in a good tips that she had it and I love that you were like, I felt like you were asking the hard questions and then one thing that I'm fascinated with is that energy and your finger tips like I want to read more about that.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like my fingers are magic.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_02]: I know.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_04]: The visualization of me is like, oh does that mean like I have like little like I want that.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_04]: It's super power like you know but then you can just like someone who annoys you
- 20:26[SPEAKER_04]: So yeah, but you know, I really so one of the things like she's so educated and obviously the way you can do Botox and things like that Like she's not any anti then you have that stuff But I really appreciate her honesty like you could also try these things first If you're like not interested in the injectables And but then also don't just go by anything that says it's like better than Botox Like yeah, you know, it's just I just appreciate like she's like you can spend good money and good places and you could waste it or you could use your own hands
- 20:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, well, and like, I mean, you and I talked about gouache, I think like a year ago and you were like, you have to do this and I started doing it and it was good for like two months and then I'm like, oh, and I travel and I forget to take my gouache out or I, oh, I'm, you know, doing whatever and forget to gouache, but my fingers are always attached and I can't use that as an excuse.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_04]: I agree.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_04]: And like I still like my Gwasha, but also it's not always where I am.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_04]: You know, like it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, or it's, I found like, I almost want to Gwasha in the shower because I'm in the shower office.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_04]: Like I'm already there.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_04]: But then like I have dropped a Gwasha.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_04]: Don't do that, then it cracks.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_04]: And you don't want to scratch me.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_04]: I just don't like to.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_04]: it's so I kind of like that if I forgot my wish off I can't travel with it if I'm asleep I could still do it you know like because I think a lot of us look burning excuse of why we can't do something yeah you have you know you have your hands yeah if you have hands and if you don't have hands then teach someone to wash all you
- 21:47[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, and you said the thing, sorry, I'm circling back to the thing that you said about the, like, the cold, well, she said something about the cold plunge.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_02]: Like you should rinse off at the end of you can stand it, and I am a person that likes the water.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_02]: So hot that it burns my skin when I'm in the shower.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, I agree with you because I think it's effective.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_02]: I, I, I.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_02]: I love a hot hot shower and love a hot shower and I know she was saying she, you know, prefers a shower in the morning.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_02]: I'm a night person because I like to like calm down and cool down and like it makes me sleep better.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_02]: But here's a tip for somebody like me that is like afraid of the cold water.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_02]: I turn down my hot just a little bit.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_02]: So I have like room temperature water and I'll do that for a couple of showers and then slowly like turn down the heat a little bit
- 22:26[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I, so there's a lot of studies on like women's temperature for coal plunge.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_04]: And so I, you know, like, our coal plan just set 50, I mean, like, I'm sure, man, we'll say the Brad should have a colder, like he doesn't like cold, like it's not good for his constitution.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_04]: So 50 is fucking cold.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_04]: I'll just say that man.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_04]: It's cold.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_04]: And I, we use it in the morning as a such a great way to like wake up.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_04]: Like it is like better than coffee.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_04]: Like it's you, you can like be hung over and get in that fucking thing and you are not hung over anymore.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_04]: You're like, okay, it's not going off my head.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_04]: It's not going my face, but like I get up to my neck and shoulders.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_04]: And do it for a few minutes.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_04]: It's enough.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_04]: I like the routine of it.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_04]: I like the way I'm starting the day, like hello.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_04]: Like let's go.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_04]: But we should call showers and I will just say those suck.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_04]: Those are so, obviously, like, everyone can have a coal plunge.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_04]: So, I think that you have to figure out what works for you.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_04]: And I will say, like, the active doing something that's uncomfortable does allow me to be in more discomfort on most days.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_04]: Not on my worst days, but like, on my best days, discomfort happens.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_04]: Things that I, because, like, kind of train my mind, like, I can handle this one.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_04]: A few minutes, like, not a big deal.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_04]: It does translate.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_04]: So, I think even if you're not doing it for, like, the,
- 23:33[SPEAKER_04]: aesthetics of it or the bio hacking of it like there's reasons to do it but I also like to me the shower needs to burn my skin I want to be a red one be a lobster.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_04]: I tell Brad I'm like it's killing the germs.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_04]: He's like that's not it.
- 23:47[UNKNOWN]: I'm like
- 23:48[SPEAKER_04]: It's got to be doing something.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_04]: There's never too hot of a hot shower for me.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_04]: I am like just so I'm sorry.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_02]: I just want the hot.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, what he used to do was like get in the shower at like the middle and then
- 24:04[SPEAKER_04]: you know, get himself wet at that like more like room temperature water and then like dip it down to a cold that he could tolerate and then he would do it.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_04]: That is too long of a commitment but hey, you know, but that word, this how we're different.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_02]: Let's how we're different.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and it's good to talk about these things and things that like work for you and don't work for you and you.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_04]: I'm trying to think.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_04]: That's so funny because the internet's like, you must do this.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_04]: It's the best thing for the belly fat of the cortisol or the bit of positive.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_04]: Whatever.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_04]: If you don't like it, don't do it.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_04]: Like, oh my god, you know, like there's so many tools out there and they might have worked for someone that don't have to work for you and then also like whatever happened to like if it doesn't work for you.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_04]: It's okay for it to work for someone else.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I just feel like, you know, we don't have to be the same.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, well, and your body changes too.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_02]: Like Rachel was saying, like some of the things that you'll do and that she suggests, your body will actually change while you're doing it.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_02]: And so maybe the thing that you start doing today isn't going to work for you in the year.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_02]: And so, you know, just, you know, I know you think I know.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_04]: I had to change my skincare line after 40.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_04]: I found a really great one that I love.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_04]: But like the stuff I was going to be before, it's like stopped being great.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_02]: That's okay.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_04]: It's not, it's nothing wrong with the line.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_04]: It just wasn't right for me.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_04]: And like, oh my God, you know.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_04]: So if you love your, your gouache, I'll keep doing it.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_04]: But if you, if you hate your call plans, don't find something else that like challenges your body in different way.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, absolutely.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_02]: Let's talk about the being action items.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_02]: What bold, executable intrinsic or targeted action items
- 25:35[SPEAKER_02]: I know I took away two crucial foundational elements for overall health and skin, drink 1.2 to 2.5 liters of water daily.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_02]: One of my hacks for this, I actually, when I'm setting up my coffee a night, I put a cup of water by the coffee machine, so I don't even have to fill it up.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it's ready when you wake up.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_02]: It's ready when I wake up, and I, like, I'm just like, I'm dummy proof it, like, I drink my cup of water while I'm waiting for the coffee to brew.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_02]: And then I'm going to start doing this.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to put a pinch of salt in it.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_02]: I actually put magnesium drops in mine because I I better at night.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_02]: I drink them all day long because like your bottled waters like periay and those mineral waters that are you're thinking have magnesium in them.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, so I get my magnesium that way too.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_02]: Although they say magnesium is best absorbed through the skin.
- 26:20[SPEAKER_02]: So I could just be doing it for fun.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_04]: That's how the Epson salt thing is so good.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm going to try that.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_04]: I'm telling you tonight since you have one more night here.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, put it in your bathroom.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to do all the magnesium and then make sure that water is filtered, whether you're putting it on your body or in your body.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, guys, fine, a shower filter.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_04]: Oh my god, like it would even if you're renting like you've got a
- 26:43[SPEAKER_04]: do it.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, because like there's so much crap in that water or they've taken everything out of it.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_04]: So there's nothing good in it.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_04]: Like you've got, I mean, if you can't change the filtered water in your house, like we could, but because we don't, but like that's, it's an investment we're not making right now.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_04]: So we have a shower head filter and we've had it for a year to hold my hair as different.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_04]: My skin is different.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_04]: Everything's different.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I just caught one.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_02]: I rent my apartment and I just bought one pro tip though make sure you can actually find filters for your shower head and for if you I have one of my sink to make sure you find filters that like they're out there and they're not hard to find and they're not expensive or they're what you can afford ours is like ours was a gift because we asked for it at Christmas.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_04]: I actually do wonder if like it even is a filtered change or if we just buy it a whole new thing.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_04]: If we can find a filter for it, I'm going to move it to the guest bathroom because I got you guys.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_04]: to listen to the higher dose, I took us like, oh, we're doing for a new filter.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_04]: And then higher doses, like, hey, we've a red light filtered waterhead.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, okay.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe I need to try that one too.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_04]: I'm recording it.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_04]: And it's supposed to ship tomorrow.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_04]: So I don't have it.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_04]: I can tell you right now.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_04]: Like the number of red lights that I live under.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_04]: Like I can't even wait to shower light off red in the the bathroom
- 28:01[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_02]: I fell for all of it.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_02]: You know what?
- 28:04[SPEAKER_02]: Sometimes sometimes things that we think make us beautiful Actually do make us beautiful because we like them.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, be it hot dot com slash higher dose Okay, use that link.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_04]: It's our affiliate so that helps you support this podcast and then balanced dose Balanced with so like like two d's in the middle.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_04]: We'll get you 20% off anything you want there, but I'm like big on the show I'm so excited about it amazing
- 28:26[SPEAKER_02]: so Leslie, what were your biggest takeaways?
- 28:28[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, so she said we just have to like hear this.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_04]: Look at your beautification routine as self-love because you're worth it.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_04]: You are worth it, right?
- 28:37[SPEAKER_04]: And so we've said it already, but I think I think some of the best feedbacks are the ones we repeat because like I just think so many people see it as like something they have to buy into and it's like it is part of it.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_04]: We did this with the
- 28:48[SPEAKER_04]: the fashion blaster lady.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_04]: She's like massaging your body is like time spent with your body.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_04]: It's an act of self love and like So that you guys we don't realize when things change in our body because we're just so used to kind of like living with it We're kind of like a frog like although I've heard that the frog and boiling water is a myth and a myth
- 29:05[SPEAKER_04]: But everyone says it's what makes sense, so we'll use it.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_04]: But it is a totally apparently a myth.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_04]: So we don't realize like that egg we had yesterday and we're like, oh, it's still there.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_04]: And then we kind of like, we kind of start to live with it.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_04]: So I just really believe the more time you spend with yourself, like you will recognize when things are changing and some of those things are changing or your moles.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_04]: Like I have pretty skin cancer and I just didn't know you could be, I thought we were all pre weren't your,
- 29:29[SPEAKER_04]: Apparently there's another level.
- 29:31[SPEAKER_04]: It's an image between, but it's because I was like, hey, this mole is acting differently.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_04]: Can you check it out?
- 29:36[SPEAKER_04]: You know, and so like if you're not spending time with yourself and your body, you don't notice these changes that are happening.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and it's really worth it.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you taught me years ago to put on my calendar the things that were worth it for me to do for myself.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_02]: So like even if you have to block off your like mentally block off your calendar for 15 more minutes to like go take that
- 29:54[SPEAKER_04]: extra time in the shower to do your question out of do your absom saltling do it like you are worth the extra five minutes 15 minutes hour you really are I mean I think I think a lot of the source spending way to each time on things that actually don't care for us and make us feel good and so I but I just think that like notice if you actually made the time for your skincare notice what you don't have time for and but I promise you you're letting go of the things you didn't need to be
- 30:19[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sure we could all stop scrolling for 15 minutes.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_04]: We will hear something like, if I was to say, hey, you know, like, Claire, you're like, oh, I'm flying down.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, you're flying tomorrow, right?
- 30:27[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_04]: And I say, oh my god, Claire, I just want a shopping spree, you know, at our favorite store.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_03]: I move it.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_04]: But you're, you know, it's at two o'clock.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_04]: You move your fucking fly.
