- 0:05Speaker 1: Apodjay Production. Welcome to the Sheep Rises Podcast. I'm Ashley
- 0:13Speaker 1: and I'm Tiana.
- 0:14Speaker 2: This podcast is about female empowerment and encouraging you to
- 0:17Speaker 2: be your biggest, boldest, and most authentic version of yourself.
- 0:20Speaker 1: We help you shed the shame, grow to a new level.
- 0:23Speaker 1: We're gonna laugh, cry, and talk about the topics everyone
- 0:26Speaker 1: else is too afraid to talk about.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Get ready for your next level of self.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Good morning, everybody, or afternoon evening wherever you're listening to it.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Welcome back to another she Riser. This episode, we've got
- 0:36Speaker 1: a massive life catch up. Lots has been happening in
- 0:38Speaker 1: our world and we're gonna tell all, reveal or share
- 0:42Speaker 1: all open, vulnerable, and some exciting things in there as well.
- 0:45Speaker 1: But before you get into it, what is your share
- 0:46Speaker 1: of the week?
- 0:47Speaker 2: Absolutely, my share of the week is it's gonna be
- 0:50Speaker 2: a little bit of a shameless plug. But we recently
- 0:52Speaker 2: created something called our ten step system to goal setting
- 0:56Speaker 2: and it honestly has been such a game changer for us,
- 0:58Speaker 2: especially in like the last like two years of really
- 1:00Speaker 2: getting clear on what it is that we're working towards.
- 1:03Speaker 2: And this is something that you can get for free. Well,
- 1:05Speaker 2: So if you're in a season where you're like, I
- 1:06Speaker 2: want to get clear or where I want to go,
- 1:08Speaker 2: what I want to do, what the rest of the
- 1:10Speaker 2: year is going to look like, send us a DM
- 1:11Speaker 2: on Instagram with the word goal setup. Yeah, and we
- 1:14Speaker 2: can send it to you for free.
- 1:15Speaker 1: A question I get asked often too, is how do
- 1:17Speaker 1: you even set goals? It's not something we're taught in school.
- 1:20Speaker 1: There isn't a lot of systems out there. It's like, oh,
- 1:21Speaker 1: do you just write down I want to achieve xyz?
- 1:24Speaker 1: But I think there's more layers to it to get
- 1:26Speaker 1: really clear, really specific, and we've got a ten step
- 1:29Speaker 1: system that will just help you do all of that.
- 1:31Speaker 2: That's right, because if that were the case, like people
- 1:33Speaker 2: write down their goals all the time, do nothing with
- 1:34Speaker 2: it two weeks later, what we want to do with
- 1:36Speaker 2: it is write down goals and actually implement them, not
- 1:38Speaker 2: just let them sit in our diaries or even in
- 1:41Speaker 2: our phone notes.
- 1:41Speaker 1: So send us a DM. We can send you a
- 1:43Speaker 1: link straight away, and like you said, it's free. So
- 1:44Speaker 1: why not? Mine is two TV show recommendations. They're both
- 1:49Speaker 1: romance drama series. Everyone's heard about it, but off campus
- 1:53Speaker 1: absolutely loved it. The two main characters are beautiful, so
- 1:56Speaker 1: cute together, and I just love the whole thing. And
- 1:58Speaker 1: then Make recommended another one called Every Year After, and
- 2:02Speaker 1: it's based upon a book series, and I loved it
- 2:05Speaker 1: so much. They've kind of left on a cliffhanger. I
- 2:08Speaker 1: wonder if they're going to do another season. They could,
- 2:11Speaker 1: or they could just leave it there, but I really
- 2:13Speaker 1: enjoyed it. And they're short seasons, like, yeah, there are
- 2:15Speaker 1: only eight episodes, so they are over pretty quickly. Yeah,
- 2:18Speaker 1: but if you're a hopeless romantic and you just love
- 2:20Speaker 1: those kind of series, I think they're just easy to
- 2:22Speaker 1: watch when I'm in a more hectic season or I'm stressed.
- 2:25Speaker 1: I like something to unplug too that doesn't disrupt my
- 2:27Speaker 1: nervous system too much. I love crime and I love documentaries,
- 2:30Speaker 1: but when I'm like in a thicker season, I don't
- 2:32Speaker 1: want to be consuming that kind of content. But I
- 2:34Speaker 1: like a lighthearted, lovey romance. Yeah.
- 2:38Speaker 2: Yeah, you've actually recommended Off Campus to me a couple
- 2:41Speaker 2: of times now, Like I need to get on the vandwagon.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Yeah, it's awesome, very cool.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Today's episode is actually going to be a bit of
- 2:47Speaker 2: a life update. For both Ashley and myself. I feel
- 2:50Speaker 2: like we have some things to share and some duality
- 2:52Speaker 2: in what we're sharing as well. There are ups, downs, highs, lows,
- 2:55Speaker 2: hard seasons, fun seasons, exciting things, and we're going to
- 2:59Speaker 2: share it all today.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Yeah, we're both in very different seasons, which we were
- 3:03Speaker 1: talking about and now. Actually our last business coaching call
- 3:05Speaker 1: yesterday with that coach, which is sad, so sad. We've
- 3:08Speaker 1: done six months with her and I'm sure we'll be
- 3:10Speaker 1: back with her soon. But it's been an incredible six months.
- 3:12Speaker 1: We've grown and learned so much and implement so much
- 3:14Speaker 1: in our business and been able to really understand ourselves
- 3:17Speaker 1: on a deeper level and work not even better as
- 3:20Speaker 1: a team because we worked great as a team, but
- 3:21Speaker 1: just learned our roles more clearly and we have a
- 3:23Speaker 1: lot more clarity around the direction that we're moving towards
- 3:27Speaker 1: and how we want to finish out the rest of
- 3:28Speaker 1: this year and also planning out next year, which is
- 3:31Speaker 1: really cool. So she Rises is absolutely thriving. We're loving it.
- 3:34Speaker 1: We've got so much planned. We love every single process
- 3:36Speaker 1: of it. We've been working behind the scenes also with
- 3:39Speaker 1: our pa, which her name's ash as well. If you've
- 3:41Speaker 1: been an OG follower for me for a while, she
- 3:43Speaker 1: was my old pa, and she's so hard working. She's
- 3:46Speaker 1: a systems girl through and through. We are not.
- 3:50Speaker 2: No, that's definitely her strength. Yeah, sat down for a
- 3:53Speaker 2: in person like immersion media like three hours the other day,
- 3:56Speaker 2: and she was just like, I'm going to do this
- 3:57Speaker 2: and this and we need this, and she's like, oh
- 3:59Speaker 2: my god, thank goodness you're here.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Honestly, she could not talk fast enough because her brain
- 4:03Speaker 1: was just all these ideas on how to make things
- 4:05Speaker 1: more flow and more easy, just to not pull us
- 4:08Speaker 1: out of the business, but for us to be able
- 4:09Speaker 1: to focus on our strengths, the things that we're really
- 4:12Speaker 1: passionate about and really like our community. But we find
- 4:14Speaker 1: when we get bogged down with the systems and the
- 4:17Speaker 1: paperwork and that kind of behind the scenes stuff, it
- 4:20Speaker 1: really kind of kills our creative vibe and our energy.
- 4:23Speaker 1: And it's really important fast to stay where we want
- 4:25Speaker 1: to stay. So it's like, really nice to have that.
- 4:27Speaker 2: Support because sometimes I have to do list just get
- 4:29Speaker 2: so big projects and things that we're working on outside.
- 4:32Speaker 2: She rises that it feels never ending, and I know
- 4:34Speaker 2: that's a very common thing like when you're working on
- 4:36Speaker 2: or in a business. But it's just we don't want
- 4:38Speaker 2: to get bogged down in those day to day tasks
- 4:40Speaker 2: as much as we want to actually be able to,
- 4:42Speaker 2: like what you said, focus on the community and focus
- 4:44Speaker 2: on actually growing. She rises.
- 4:45Speaker 1: And there's some things that no one else can do
- 4:47Speaker 1: except for you and I because we are the face
- 4:49Speaker 1: of we are the person of connect. We're doing so
- 4:51Speaker 1: much and there's some things that other people can't do.
- 4:53Speaker 1: So if there's things we can delegate, we're trying to
- 4:55Speaker 1: learn how to do that better and put her in
- 4:57Speaker 1: her strength. And she just takes a lot of initiative.
- 4:59Speaker 1: It does. She loves to be hands on and just
- 5:01Speaker 1: make things flow. And we really did go in pretty
- 5:04Speaker 1: blind running retreats, and now that we've ran a couple
- 5:07Speaker 1: were realizing we do need better systems to help it
- 5:09Speaker 1: flow better for us behind the scenes, so that we
- 5:11Speaker 1: can show up with more ease and more flow when
- 5:14Speaker 1: we're actually running it. Because it's a lot to organize
- 5:16Speaker 1: so much, book a location and off you go to
- 5:19Speaker 1: do list to run a retreat and the things not
- 5:21Speaker 1: to forget about. We really like to make our retreats
- 5:24Speaker 1: extra special, like we really think of every single minor detail,
- 5:28Speaker 1: and it was such great feedback even from our buyer
- 5:31Speaker 1: and girls the first retreat we ran, they were like,
- 5:33Speaker 1: you guys have literally thought of everything. There was not
- 5:35Speaker 1: a moment that's gone by that you haven't thought out
- 5:38Speaker 1: really deeply to make every single moment really memorable for us.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Yeah, that was really special to hear that from those girls.
- 5:44Speaker 2: And then also as well as we learn and grow
- 5:46Speaker 2: it as we do each retreat, it's like we're refining
- 5:48Speaker 2: our systems, finding what we do, how we run them.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Even running like Australian retreats versus like international words apart,
- 5:55Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, even trying to organize an international reviewat
- 5:57Speaker 2: is so much more challenging in itself. But it's like
- 6:00Speaker 2: learning all of these little systems that we have to
- 6:02Speaker 2: create so that by the time you know, we've run
- 6:05Speaker 2: ten twenty thirty, like it's a seamless process and we
- 6:08Speaker 2: can refine and just make the experience of like our
- 6:11Speaker 2: retreat girls better. Yeah.
- 6:13Speaker 1: It's really cool, and not that anything's wrong with any
- 6:16Speaker 1: of the retreats, but I think in any type of
- 6:17Speaker 1: business or life, or in your relationship or your habits,
- 6:20Speaker 1: you can always improve. It's like, Okay, that worked, but
- 6:23Speaker 1: could I make that better? And that's sound mindset around
- 6:25Speaker 1: everything we do. It's like that's working really good, but
- 6:27Speaker 1: how can we make it really great?
- 6:28Speaker 2: Yes? Yeah, it's like the first iPhone?
- 6:31Speaker 1: Yeah, do you know what I mean?
- 6:32Speaker 2: I think comparison to where it is now, like they've
- 6:34Speaker 2: improved their product and continuously been like, how can I
- 6:37Speaker 2: make this better? How can I make the user experience better?
- 6:39Speaker 2: How can I go above and beyond for the people
- 6:41Speaker 2: who are actually going to be purchasing. And that's really
- 6:44Speaker 2: our headspace around the retreats because of how impactful they've
- 6:47Speaker 2: been for us and also what we know that they
- 6:49Speaker 2: will be for you as well when you come up
- 6:51Speaker 2: in us.
- 6:51Speaker 1: It's like parenting too. I always say this, I've done
- 6:53Speaker 1: such a better job at parenting with Tyler than what
- 6:55Speaker 1: I did Taj and I hate I wish he got
- 6:57Speaker 1: the version of me that I am now. But it's
- 7:00Speaker 1: like your first time parent. I hadn't even changed a
- 7:02Speaker 1: nappy when I had him. I had no idea what
- 7:04Speaker 1: I was doing. Neither did. We were completely blind. And
- 7:07Speaker 1: then second time round. That's why I say, going from
- 7:09Speaker 1: one to two for us was so much easier. It
- 7:12Speaker 1: was such a breeze compared to zero to one. Zero
- 7:14Speaker 1: to one was like, holy fucking ship balls, what am
- 7:17Speaker 1: I doing? Our whole world has completely flipped outside down
- 7:19Speaker 1: and you love this little humans so much, but it's
- 7:21Speaker 1: really overwhelming and really exhausting and a lot in your
- 7:24Speaker 1: nervous system while you're also both working and holding everything
- 7:28Speaker 1: that you're holding. But yeah, talking about seasons, we're definitely
- 7:31Speaker 1: in very different seasons. And I don't want to sound
- 7:33Speaker 1: like a winger or a complainer, but I also don't
- 7:35Speaker 1: want to pretend that I'm okay when I'm not. I
- 7:37Speaker 1: thought last year had some did have some really hard moments,
- 7:41Speaker 1: and grief was a heavy part of last year, and
- 7:44Speaker 1: obviously grief never ends, but it's been a very heavy
- 7:47Speaker 1: season for me. I've never felt so stretched and pulled
- 7:52Speaker 1: in every direction, and my capacity just feels I've got
- 7:55Speaker 1: quite a large capacity to hold a lot, but I
- 7:58Speaker 1: feel like it's very stretched thin at the moment. You
- 8:01Speaker 1: know when you pull something that stretches and it rips.
- 8:03Speaker 1: I feel like I'm at that tight where I'm about
- 8:05Speaker 1: to rip and have a mental break to like a
- 8:07Speaker 1: rubber band it's like, yes, it's just been a really
- 8:11Speaker 1: stressful year. There's been a lot going on, and it's
- 8:14Speaker 1: not even just me. Everyone in my life is going
- 8:17Speaker 1: through something really hectic. And I actually bumped into Moira,
- 8:21Speaker 1: which if you're an OG follow you remember she was
- 8:24Speaker 1: my very first person I went to for support and helped.
- 8:26Speaker 1: She's a very spiritual counselor and at the first time
- 8:30Speaker 1: I really did meditation and in a child work And
- 8:33Speaker 1: bumped into her at Flannery's the other day and I
- 8:35Speaker 1: wasn't have the best day, and I remember she said,
- 8:37Speaker 1: how are you? And I said, yeah, good, so hi
- 8:41Speaker 1: pictures Like if I'm being honest, like there's really great
- 8:44Speaker 1: things in my life that I'm super grateful for and
- 8:46Speaker 1: life feels really hard. And she's big in astrology. I
- 8:49Speaker 1: can't relate what she said, but something to do with the
- 8:51Speaker 1: planets and this year, she said, there's three things that
- 8:54Speaker 1: are building up and exploding so then you can decide
- 8:57Speaker 1: what you do next. But health, relationships, and finances. Wow,
- 9:01Speaker 1: And I said, they're the three main things that everyone
- 9:04Speaker 1: in my life life is struggling with at least one
- 9:07Speaker 1: of them, but if not two or three of them.
- 9:09Speaker 1: I've got one girlfriend that's all three. I've got another
- 9:11Speaker 1: girlfriend that's just relationship. I've got another girlfriend that's just finances.
- 9:14Speaker 1: But it's not just like little problems. It's big life
- 9:18Speaker 1: changing like what the fuck am I going to do?
- 9:21Speaker 1: Or what the how the fuck am I going to
- 9:22Speaker 1: get through this type moment?
- 9:23Speaker 2: It's going to change my whole trajectory of my life.
- 9:25Speaker 2: That's the decision I have to make in this area.
- 9:28Speaker 1: Yeah, it's really really heavy, and I've had moments like
- 9:31Speaker 1: that as well, and through that, you know, there's growth,
- 9:34Speaker 1: you know, there's lessons. In hindsight, I know everything will
- 9:37Speaker 1: work out, and I trust life happens for me. But
- 9:39Speaker 1: when you're in the thick of it, you feel stuck
- 9:42Speaker 1: and it feels scary, and it feels lonely and it
- 9:44Speaker 1: feels hard. And there's some days where I just cannot
- 9:47Speaker 1: wait to put my head on the pillar and go
- 9:48Speaker 1: to sleep. Sounds awful, And then some days I wake up,
- 9:50Speaker 1: I'm like, I'm not ready for today, Like I don't
- 9:54Speaker 1: want to do today, you know, And it sounds really depressing,
- 9:56Speaker 1: but it's just being truthful. And I think social media
- 9:59Speaker 1: is full of highlight reels and I know, I really
- 10:01Speaker 1: appreciate people that I admire just talk about the hard
- 10:04Speaker 1: times as well, because we're human and we all go
- 10:06Speaker 1: through them. Maybe one day I'll talk about the ins
- 10:08Speaker 1: and outs. I don't feel the need to talk about
- 10:10Speaker 1: that right now. And when I share hard times to
- 10:12Speaker 1: like to share the lessons, and I feel like I'm
- 10:14Speaker 1: just in the think of it right now. But yeah,
- 10:17Speaker 1: it's been hard, and I've really had to lean on
- 10:19Speaker 1: my nervous system tools. I really had to lean on
- 10:21Speaker 1: my girlfriends, I really had to lean up my husband,
- 10:23Speaker 1: my mom, my kid's happiness, my kid's joy. Like, it's
- 10:26Speaker 1: been tough and definitely cried a lot and felt stressed
- 10:30Speaker 1: and stretched, and yeah, that's just where I'm at right now.
- 10:34Speaker 1: It's getting through each day and doing what I can
- 10:36Speaker 1: and trying not to add any extra load on. Yeah,
- 10:39Speaker 1: I'm like, I'm very aware that when I'm good, I
- 10:40Speaker 1: can take on so much more and still thrive and
- 10:43Speaker 1: show up and be proud of how I'm showing up.
- 10:45Speaker 1: And now I think the thought of taking on something
- 10:47Speaker 1: else would impact my parenting, would impact my health, would
- 10:50Speaker 1: impact you know, my day to day not in a
- 10:53Speaker 1: good way.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like adding another one of those plates and
- 10:56Speaker 2: then they start to spin and then it's like, oh yeah,
- 10:57Speaker 2: I add one more and one more crash.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 11:03Speaker 2: It's so easy. Like I feel like life is interesting
- 11:05Speaker 2: with the highs and lows, like it can come around
- 11:07Speaker 2: so quickly.
- 11:08Speaker 1: I know it can flip so quickly too.
- 11:10Speaker 2: You can be having a great day one moment and
- 11:12Speaker 2: then like the next thing, you know, like you're in
- 11:13Speaker 2: a lull and you're in a bit of a season
- 11:15Speaker 2: where I just feel heavier than normal.
- 11:17Speaker 1: Or it can go on. It'd be like three months
- 11:19Speaker 1: and be like, holy fuck, this has been a really
- 11:21Speaker 1: tough three months. I went to Bondai for a check
- 11:24Speaker 1: up of my upper left I went down by myself.
- 11:26Speaker 1: You're in America and we were sitting on Bondo Beach
- 11:28Speaker 1: and I just felt so emotional that day. I was
- 11:31Speaker 1: also two days away from my period, but I think
- 11:33Speaker 1: I'd felt like I was trying to be strong for
- 11:35Speaker 1: so long and I was at that point where I
- 11:38Speaker 1: just needed to break down. And I remember message one
- 11:41Speaker 1: of my old girlfriend's Beth, being friends with this since
- 11:43Speaker 1: I was like twelve, and I was like, do you
- 11:45Speaker 1: have space to me today? And She's like absolutely. I'm
- 11:47Speaker 1: sitting at home all day every day with this little
- 11:48Speaker 1: human beside me. We're doing nothing, and I called her
- 11:51Speaker 1: and had a vantage. She held space, and I just
- 11:53Speaker 1: sat on Bondoye Beach for like an hour, just bawling
- 11:55Speaker 1: my eyes out. People walking past me like it's okay.
- 11:58Speaker 1: But I felt really good to just have a release
- 12:00Speaker 1: and let all that emotion out. It reminded me that
- 12:02Speaker 1: it's really important to cry, and otherwise it just builds
- 12:04Speaker 1: up and you end up exploding, or for me, I
- 12:06Speaker 1: start to feel anxious because I'm holding all of that energy.
- 12:10Speaker 1: So ver really got. I just sat in the sun
- 12:12Speaker 1: and just let the tears flow and I just cried
- 12:13Speaker 1: and had a day of it, and I felt somewhat
- 12:16Speaker 1: better after that. Yeah, of course didn't take anything away, Yeah,
- 12:19Speaker 1: but I felt lighter in my energy to come home
- 12:21Speaker 1: and get on with it.
- 12:22Speaker 2: That anxious feeling that you're talking about, I think like
- 12:25Speaker 2: you're almost anticipating the breakdown. Yes, that's my experience. Happened
- 12:30Speaker 2: is like, oh my gosh, Okay, Okay, I know I'm struggling.
- 12:32Speaker 2: And then it's like anything that anyone could say, it
- 12:34Speaker 2: could be the pivotal thing that literally just makes you
- 12:35Speaker 2: cry in the moment. How easy is it for you
- 12:38Speaker 2: in that moment to just like break down and you're
- 12:39Speaker 2: like almost anticipating that.
- 12:41Speaker 1: Yes, And there's certain people that you feel safe to
- 12:43Speaker 1: be wrong to create with. It's weird. Hey, like if
- 12:46Speaker 1: this is our business, coach would like look on the
- 12:47Speaker 1: camera be like, how are you actually? How's everything with
- 12:50Speaker 1: X Y Z. I'm like and like Beth the same,
- 12:55Speaker 1: I'm just like, oh, I just cry because I feel
- 12:57Speaker 1: safe to crumble. Yeah, it's really interesting. And because it's
- 13:00Speaker 1: been a harder season for Steve as well, I've wanted
- 13:02Speaker 1: to be strong with him. It's normally he's my person.
- 13:05Speaker 1: I've gone CRITI I've been trying to support him through
- 13:07Speaker 1: his harder season as well. So that's just been interesting
- 13:10Speaker 1: to navigate. But that's life. Sometimes we all go through
- 13:14Speaker 1: different seasons and it's never gonna last for ever. And
- 13:17Speaker 1: I know in hindsight, like in six months time, I'll
- 13:18Speaker 1: look back and be like, holy fuck, that was hard,
- 13:20Speaker 1: but wow, I learned a lot and that needed to happen,
- 13:23Speaker 1: and you know, I put us on this different path.
- 13:26Speaker 1: And equally, it's that duality thing has just been so
- 13:29Speaker 1: in the forefront for me, because as much as I
- 13:31Speaker 1: talk about that, then I jump into she rises on
- 13:34Speaker 1: my kids, and I'm just so lit up and so
- 13:36Speaker 1: happy and feel so on purpose. And I've never felt
- 13:39Speaker 1: more aligned in that sense. It's just like learning how
- 13:42Speaker 1: to hold all of it.
- 13:42Speaker 2: Yeah, it's wild interesting balance, isn't it.
- 13:45Speaker 1: That really is.
- 13:46Speaker 2: I think sometimes in the past, when I've been through
- 13:49Speaker 2: like a lower season, I've thought to myself, I'm not
- 13:52Speaker 2: allowed to have this this other thing.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not.
- 13:55Speaker 2: Allowed to kind of be happy and to be ecstatic
- 13:58Speaker 2: and excited and all these things. But as life goes on,
- 14:00Speaker 2: you realize that that's a huge part of life.
- 14:02Speaker 1: It is that.
- 14:03Speaker 2: There are going to be things maybe say you personal
- 14:05Speaker 2: life that are not working with any business is thriving, literally, yeah,
- 14:10Speaker 2: that's right. And then it's like holding the duality of
- 14:12Speaker 2: that of like, oh, my relationship is breaking down, not
- 14:14Speaker 2: that it is, but my relationship is breaking down, and
- 14:16Speaker 2: then work is thriving, or work is breaking down and
- 14:18Speaker 2: my relationship is thriving. Yeah, Like, oh, this is so conflicting.
- 14:22Speaker 2: I'm getting like emotional whiplash of like, yeah, trying to
- 14:24Speaker 2: hold all of these things, and sometimes.
- 14:26Speaker 1: You feel like you have to stay in one. The
- 14:28Speaker 1: person who's really showed me how possible this is is
- 14:31Speaker 1: Megsie going through grief. It has just been obviously awful, awful,
- 14:36Speaker 1: awful experience, and like to watch it's so sad, but
- 14:39Speaker 1: the way she moves through that we be crying together
- 14:42Speaker 1: on the couch and deepen the grief and then like
- 14:45Speaker 1: Sunny and Targe running and Talent, they were playing and
- 14:48Speaker 1: we're giling and happy, and she says, you know, she
- 14:51Speaker 1: can be deep in her grief and then have a
- 14:52Speaker 1: beautiful moment with Thor and they're just laughing and in
- 14:55Speaker 1: this beautiful, pleasurable like playful energy, and she can bounce
- 14:59Speaker 1: in the matter of seconds. And I was like, that's
- 15:01Speaker 1: really beautiful evidence for me that if I'm going through
- 15:04Speaker 1: something really hard, it's not conscious, but it's almost like, oh,
- 15:08Speaker 1: I have to stay in this hard because life's really hard,
- 15:10Speaker 1: but I also can be really happy and excited and
- 15:13Speaker 1: I can bounce and just allowing whatever I'm feeling in
- 15:16Speaker 1: that moment to be there, to not make it my identity,
- 15:19Speaker 1: to not feel like I have to stay there, not
- 15:22Speaker 1: shame any of it, all of it just gets to
- 15:23Speaker 1: be there all it gets to be there because all
- 15:25Speaker 1: of it is real for me right now. Yeah, And
- 15:27Speaker 1: I think that's a really beautiful lesson, So you can't
- 15:29Speaker 1: hold it all.
- 15:30Speaker 2: Yeah, beautiful permission to to know that you don't have
- 15:32Speaker 2: to stay stuck in whatever it is you're feeling. Yeah,
- 15:35Speaker 2: Like it is just such a beautiful depiction of like
- 15:37Speaker 2: actually allowing your emotions to ebb and flow. Yes, like
- 15:40Speaker 2: what children do now, they don't have a tantrument. Then
- 15:42Speaker 2: they're happy and they're you honestly, and then they're like
- 15:45Speaker 2: where and then like I love you so much.
- 15:46Speaker 1: I saw this real the other day and I tested
- 15:48Speaker 1: on Tala. If you're a mum, listen up. This was
- 15:51Speaker 1: the best tantrum distraction. When I watched the video, I
- 15:54Speaker 1: was like, I don't think that would work with Tala.
- 15:56Speaker 1: She's cracking it, losing it, screaming. And then I said,
- 15:59Speaker 1: do you know how to count ten? And I just
- 16:01Speaker 1: interrupted her straight away and she's like no, And I
- 16:04Speaker 1: was like, okay, I'm to count backwards from ten. I
- 16:06Speaker 1: was like ten nine, She's curious. Now she's still like eh,
- 16:10Speaker 1: but she's curious, and I was like chicken and she
- 16:13Speaker 1: cracks up laughing I completely change her state. I said, oh,
- 16:15Speaker 1: my gosh, I'm going to start again. I'm gonna start
- 16:17Speaker 1: again in Targe in the car. I'm taking him to school.
- 16:19Speaker 1: He's ten, ten eleven, he's cracking up. Wow. And I
- 16:22Speaker 1: was like, ten nine monkey, she's in absolute fits. She
- 16:28Speaker 1: goes more. I was like, okay, ten nine snail pissing
- 16:33Speaker 1: herself laughing. It was wild to experience. I wish I
- 16:37Speaker 1: was driving, but I wish I could. I want to
- 16:39Speaker 1: try and film it so I can create a real
- 16:40Speaker 1: and post it. But if your parent interrupt their pattern
- 16:43Speaker 1: with can you do this? And then just start counting
- 16:46Speaker 1: and say like a funny animal, use your facials to
- 16:48Speaker 1: express it. If you're not in a car, like move
- 16:50Speaker 1: like a monkey. Whatever. It was so so good to
- 16:53Speaker 1: break her state and interrupt that that Tantrum'm.
- 16:55Speaker 2: My gosh, I want to try this on my niece's
- 16:56Speaker 2: and nephew.
- 16:57Speaker 1: Honestly, I couldn't believe it. Even Taj is just so
- 16:59Speaker 1: engaged in what animal I was going to say next
- 17:01Speaker 1: that he was cracking out laughing. I was like, that's
- 17:03Speaker 1: really cool, It's so cool. And then my mum has
- 17:06Speaker 1: been really unwell, which has been really scary as well.
- 17:09Speaker 1: So she's turning sixty two. She's actually coming to Barley
- 17:11Speaker 1: with us next month, which is really cool girl's trip.
- 17:14Speaker 1: She's turning sixty two and her dad passed away at
- 17:17Speaker 1: sixty two from baw cancer, and my mom started to
- 17:21Speaker 1: get really really unwell. She didn't tell me how unwell
- 17:24Speaker 1: she was because she didn't want to scare me. But
- 17:26Speaker 1: she got to the point where she literally couldn't even
- 17:28Speaker 1: stand up, and they had to call an ambulance and
- 17:30Speaker 1: they took it to hospital. She was there for two days.
- 17:32Speaker 1: They thought she might have had a parasite from the
- 17:34Speaker 1: fresh rainwater tanks. Didn't end up being that, ended up
- 17:38Speaker 1: being three other things. But they sent her back home
- 17:40Speaker 1: and she went downhill again, so they had did another
- 17:42Speaker 1: ambulance when she to the hospital. They had to transport
- 17:45Speaker 1: her from one hospital to the other because she lives
- 17:47Speaker 1: in far north Queensland. She's okay now, she's back home
- 17:50Speaker 1: on the mend, still taking it very very easy. She's
- 17:54Speaker 1: really exhausted and hadn't eaten a proper meal in nearly
- 17:57Speaker 1: two weeks. And she's a diabetic as well, so she's
- 17:59Speaker 1: just be really careful what she eats. But she knows
- 18:02Speaker 1: what's partning with her body. Now she has to take
- 18:04Speaker 1: it easy. Funny story which I got for her permission
- 18:06Speaker 1: to share. She's has to be transported from one hospital
- 18:11Speaker 1: to the next rat and these two ambulances going to
- 18:13Speaker 1: meet halfway because one's coming from this hospital the other's
- 18:14Speaker 1: coming from the other. They had to meet halfway and
- 18:17Speaker 1: swap patients, and they had to meet opposite sides of
- 18:20Speaker 1: a paddock. So they get Mom out of the ambulance
- 18:22Speaker 1: so she's laying on the bed and push her across
- 18:25Speaker 1: a paddock to swap her into the other ambulance. She's
- 18:28Speaker 1: like bumping and like the wild is ride literally like
- 18:31Speaker 1: a paddock, right, yeah, anyway, she hops in that ambulance
- 18:34Speaker 1: and then ten minutes later, the two ambulance drivers like, oh,
- 18:37Speaker 1: really hungry. They stopped off and just had dinner at
- 18:40Speaker 1: this roadside diner and left Mom in the back of
- 18:43Speaker 1: the ambulance. No, they did, They fucking did. And I said, Mom,
- 18:46Speaker 1: did you say anything. She's a real people pleaser and
- 18:48Speaker 1: doesn't like confrontation. She said to them, Gosh, that would
- 18:51Speaker 1: never happen in the Gold Coast, And they were just like,
- 18:53Speaker 1: welcome to countryside, dah, it was just normal for them
- 18:56Speaker 1: to stop and get dinner and leave the patient in
- 18:57Speaker 1: the back. Oh my god, I'm so shocked. So she's
- 18:59Speaker 1: literally just laying there and like, ah.
- 19:01Speaker 2: Anybody here, hello, I'm in pain and away.
- 19:06Speaker 1: That's crazy wild, Haye, it's so wild. So anyways, the
- 19:10Speaker 1: funny stories, but that's been really stressful because she was
- 19:14Speaker 1: obviously like, oh my gosh, I'm the same age as
- 19:16Speaker 1: my dad, like I've got bour cancer straight away went
- 19:19Speaker 1: to that she doesn't, thank goodness, but she has been
- 19:21Speaker 1: really unwell, and that was just scary the timing of it.
- 19:25Speaker 1: She said she was so sick on the ride to
- 19:26Speaker 1: the ambulance the second time, she was crying and she
- 19:29Speaker 1: was like, I think this might be my time. Like
- 19:30Speaker 1: her body just felt so unwell, and her whole sixty
- 19:34Speaker 1: one years of living. She's like, I've never felt so
- 19:35Speaker 1: sick in my life. So it was really scary. But
- 19:38Speaker 1: she's home now and she's okay. So so glad she's okay,
- 19:41Speaker 1: Thank goodness. Yeah, that's so scary.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Health stuff. I holy love.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Yeah, and like Mum's everything to me, Like I don't
- 19:47Speaker 1: have uncles, Annie's dad's grandparents, like She is my family,
- 19:51Speaker 1: you know, apart from my kids and husband, but like
- 19:53Speaker 1: I know, outside of that, she's all I've got. Yeah, yeah,
- 19:56Speaker 1: we have such a beautiful relationship and the thought of
- 19:58Speaker 1: her not being here, I just I can't even.
- 20:00Speaker 2: Fathom, you know, add on to the heavy season, it's
- 20:03Speaker 2: a stack, oh my gosh when it rains at pause.
- 20:06Speaker 1: Really that saying is very very true. So yeah, don't
- 20:09Speaker 1: need sympathy nothing like that. Just want it to be
- 20:12Speaker 1: real and give a life update. And a lot of
- 20:13Speaker 1: people have noticed on socials I have been quieter, lost,
- 20:16Speaker 1: my spark, not as vibrant, and I think it's just
- 20:19Speaker 1: just a season where I'm at. And also on the
- 20:21Speaker 1: flip side, I'm hustling and we're achieving things and we're
- 20:23Speaker 1: super excited about what we're doing. So it's a duality
- 20:26Speaker 1: of boat. So one day you might get me feeling
- 20:28Speaker 1: a little bit more sad on Socials and the next
- 20:30Speaker 1: day it might be fucking firing and being my silly
- 20:32Speaker 1: old self, and both get to be there and both
- 20:34Speaker 1: are okay. And it's your permission as well if you're
- 20:36Speaker 1: in a season like this that you get to experience
- 20:38Speaker 1: both and just be really kind to yourself. That's been
- 20:40Speaker 1: my biggest lesson is just being kind to myself.
- 20:43Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, and just allowing yourself to be whoever it
- 20:46Speaker 2: is that you are in the moment of pretend that
- 20:47Speaker 2: you're okay. Yeah, I have to need to do that,
- 20:49Speaker 2: especially around the.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Right people, around the right people, Hey, for sure. But
- 20:53Speaker 1: enough about me and let's hear about you.
- 20:55Speaker 2: Oh, thank you for sharing.
- 20:56Speaker 1: You went to America. I did, I did. I know
- 20:59Speaker 1: it all, but got everyone else tell me again, tell
- 21:02Speaker 1: me again. I want to hear it again. Yes, details.
- 21:05Speaker 2: It's been really interesting because going to America has been
- 21:10Speaker 2: so eye opening for me in this season, and it
- 21:12Speaker 2: was almost like the trip that I didn't know that
- 21:14Speaker 2: I needed. Oh, I love that. I was already feeling
- 21:16Speaker 2: good before I left. But you know when you get
- 21:18Speaker 2: to that point right before a holiday where you're kind
- 21:20Speaker 2: of like, I kind of need something ready, I need
- 21:23Speaker 2: something I need to change. I'm ready for a new level.
- 21:25Speaker 2: I'm ready for just an internal shift, a different perspective.
- 21:27Speaker 2: And I was really looking forward to that leaving for
- 21:30Speaker 2: America and I only went for about ten days, but
- 21:33Speaker 2: my goodness, the travel also twenty four hours in the plane. Oh,
- 21:36Speaker 2: I had all my little hydration drinks and I had
- 21:38Speaker 2: hot chocolates and I had like imus before you speak coffee,
- 21:42Speaker 2: I had my eyemask.
- 21:43Speaker 1: I was prepped and ready to go.
- 21:45Speaker 2: It's so interesting because when I first saw this conference
- 21:49Speaker 2: before I went there before, when I first saw it,
- 21:51Speaker 2: I said to Ashley, I was like, I have to
- 21:53Speaker 2: be here, We need to go. Yes. It was an
- 21:56Speaker 2: immediate yes, and everything in my body just said to me, like,
- 21:59Speaker 2: you need to be in this conference. If you can
- 22:01Speaker 2: make it happen, make it happen. And as she was
- 22:03Speaker 2: the one who was like, babe, you have a lot
- 22:05Speaker 2: of commitments here. You don't have a lot of responsibilities
- 22:08Speaker 2: here outside of work, Like go if you can make
- 22:10Speaker 2: it happen. And then yeah. Within twenty four hours, I
- 22:12Speaker 2: had messaged my girlfriend Brie and we looked at accommodation
- 22:15Speaker 2: flights actually going and I was like, hey, you want
- 22:17Speaker 2: to come join me in this conference. She's like where
- 22:19Speaker 2: is it? And she wrote Miami in capital letters. She's like,
- 22:22Speaker 2: you're fucking.
- 22:23Speaker 1: Joking me, Like I'm there.
- 22:25Speaker 2: Yes, She's like all right, done, Yeah, let's do some
- 22:27Speaker 2: girl maths and make sure we can make it. Yeah,
- 22:29Speaker 2: bastward back onto the plane getting ready to go to America,
- 22:32Speaker 2: and we arrive in America, it's like five am in
- 22:34Speaker 2: the morning. We're both exhausted from twenty four hours worth
- 22:36Speaker 2: of travel, and we just obviously pot her about our day.
- 22:40Speaker 2: We're working, we're prepping, we're getting ready to go register
- 22:43Speaker 2: for the actual conference. And the afternoon comes, we pass
- 22:47Speaker 2: out for like a three hour and app because we're
- 22:48Speaker 2: just so exhausted from the travel. Could not keep my
- 22:51Speaker 2: eyes open for the life of me. But once we
- 22:54Speaker 2: did this, we actually went and we registered for the conference.
- 22:57Speaker 2: And I remember walking through the doors of this convention
- 22:59Speaker 2: center in Fort Lauderdale and Miami, and it was crazy
- 23:04Speaker 2: the line to register for this event. There would have
- 23:07Speaker 2: been hundreds of women just in the line to register,
- 23:10Speaker 2: and it's like when it kind of hit me, like, oh,
- 23:12Speaker 2: like I'm in a different environment. And that was the
- 23:16Speaker 2: moment where I started to have those internal shifts and
- 23:19Speaker 2: have those like internal conversations with myself around how women
- 23:24Speaker 2: are moving, what women who are creating big wealth, big lives,
- 23:28Speaker 2: big success for themselves are actually doing, and the fact
- 23:32Speaker 2: that this one woman had put on a conference like this.
- 23:35Speaker 2: Obviously she collaborated with a lot of really incredible women
- 23:38Speaker 2: as well. But she put on this one event for
- 23:40Speaker 2: thousands of women to join. There were three thousand for
- 23:43Speaker 2: how founders, either founders or aspiring business owners who were
- 23:48Speaker 2: ready to be in the energy of Ruth and like
- 23:50Speaker 2: actually being able to provide for themselves. Yeah, it was
- 23:53Speaker 2: just that moment where I was like, oh my goodness.
- 23:55Speaker 2: I remember going home and I messaged Grant and I
- 23:57Speaker 2: was just like, I'm playing small caveral letters. Am I
- 24:00Speaker 2: playing small? It was just this thing that I just
- 24:02Speaker 2: came over me. I think it's so easy when you're
- 24:05Speaker 2: your home environment to get caught up in the little
- 24:07Speaker 2: bubble that you're in.
- 24:08Speaker 1: Comfortable.
- 24:09Speaker 2: You know, you do similar things. You know, you have
- 24:11Speaker 2: your routine, so you have structure, and you're on that
- 24:14Speaker 2: repeat train of like building and growing or whatever. But
- 24:17Speaker 2: doing something like literally flying across the world for a
- 24:20Speaker 2: damn conference, we'll shift you in ways that like you
- 24:23Speaker 2: don't even realize. And it's not even necessarily the conference,
- 24:26Speaker 2: but it's just picking yourself out, plucking yourself out of
- 24:29Speaker 2: your life and putting yourself in a new environment that
- 24:33Speaker 2: will help you see yourself, your life, what you want,
- 24:36Speaker 2: what's important to you in a way that like, sometimes
- 24:39Speaker 2: I don't think that we give ourselves enough time to
- 24:41Speaker 2: slow down and see yeah when we're home.
- 24:43Speaker 1: Yeah yeah.
- 24:44Speaker 2: I just was starting to think all these things, and
- 24:46Speaker 2: I was like had all these ideas for she Rises,
- 24:48Speaker 2: and I was just like writing all these notes. And
- 24:50Speaker 2: it was also really good because I went with my
- 24:52Speaker 2: girlfriend Brie, and she's very much in like a hustle
- 24:54Speaker 2: season of her life and her work as well. She's
- 24:56Speaker 2: an interior designer and a very good one at that.
- 24:59Speaker 2: She's been working on projects between like two to thirty
- 25:01Speaker 2: million dollars. Of the houses are Oh my gosh, something
- 25:05Speaker 2: out of like your Pinterest dream house ins. Bo wow,
- 25:08Speaker 2: it's incredible. And just being able to like spend time
- 25:11Speaker 2: with her and just talk about things and talk about
- 25:13Speaker 2: life and have some girl time like what we normally
- 25:15Speaker 2: get to do. It's so beautiful and it's just those
- 25:18Speaker 2: little micro moments. It always reminds me in moments like that,
- 25:21Speaker 2: how important like friendships are. Oh gosh, Yeah, there's such
- 25:25Speaker 2: a lifeline no matter what you're going through, hard times,
- 25:28Speaker 2: good times, celebrations like grief, whatever it is, there's such
- 25:33Speaker 2: a lifeline in our lives and to be able to
- 25:36Speaker 2: do that and do all to sit in a room
- 25:37Speaker 2: and both be working on our businesses and not feel
- 25:39Speaker 2: guilty that I'm not at adventuring and stuff. Because we
- 25:42Speaker 2: had the conference and then after the conference there was
- 25:46Speaker 2: like a gala night as well, but between that we
- 25:48Speaker 2: would go and sit and we would like plan, like
- 25:50Speaker 2: for all the things that we.
- 25:51Speaker 1: Learned, How am I going to integrate all of this?
- 25:54Speaker 2: Yes, that's right, because it's like knowledge is not power applied.
- 25:57Speaker 2: Knowledge is power. And so for the first full day
- 26:00Speaker 2: of the conference, it was speaker after speaker after speaker.
- 26:03Speaker 2: I could not tell you like how emotional I was
- 26:06Speaker 2: sitting in that room. And I don't know if it
- 26:09Speaker 2: was because the first time that Shelby stepped on stage
- 26:11Speaker 2: she said, this has never been done in history before.
- 26:15Speaker 2: There has never been a time in history where there
- 26:17Speaker 2: have been three thousand females who were founders and business
- 26:20Speaker 2: owners coming together to learn more about freedom, time, money, marketing, sales, property.
- 26:28Speaker 2: It was just so phenomenal. And maybe it's the way
- 26:30Speaker 2: that all of the speakers were like activating all of
- 26:32Speaker 2: us through their personal stories and how they came.
- 26:35Speaker 1: Up from nothing showing what's possible.
- 26:37Speaker 2: I was holding back tears across the two days, just
- 26:40Speaker 2: from listening to everyone's stories and just being so activated
- 26:44Speaker 2: and also inspired by how hard these women have worked
- 26:47Speaker 2: to be able to get where they are and create
- 26:49Speaker 2: a level of freedom that not everyone.
- 26:51Speaker 1: Gets to experience just stream of well think is impossible,
- 26:53Speaker 1: that's right.
- 26:54Speaker 2: Yeah, I've been watching Elena Cardo and I don't know
- 26:56Speaker 2: if any of you know who she is, watching it
- 26:57Speaker 2: for years. Oh my gosh, since I was eighteen years old.
- 27:01Speaker 2: I remember being in my traffic control job.
- 27:03Speaker 1: I did that.
- 27:03Speaker 2: It was a temp job that I did for about
- 27:05Speaker 2: a year when I was like in my early twenties,
- 27:08Speaker 2: and I remember I would drive three hours too and
- 27:12Speaker 2: from my job because I lived in Sydney. I lived
- 27:15Speaker 2: in South the Sydney and drove to Sydney and I
- 27:17Speaker 2: would listen to her and her husband, Grantcutter, and in
- 27:19Speaker 2: the car all the way up and all the way back,
- 27:22Speaker 2: I would listen to all of their YouTube videos. I
- 27:24Speaker 2: would just consume their content. I loved who she represents
- 27:28Speaker 2: like she's a business owner. She is obviously building an
- 27:31Speaker 2: empire with her partner. She's also a very good mother
- 27:34Speaker 2: and she's a mother of two daughters. And she kind
- 27:36Speaker 2: of was like this depiction for me at that time
- 27:38Speaker 2: of my life of like being able to do and
- 27:40Speaker 2: have it all. I really admired that in a woman.
- 27:43Speaker 2: Doesn't mean it's not hard, doesn't mean it's a struggle.
- 27:45Speaker 2: But I looked at that and was like, Wow, she
- 27:47Speaker 2: doesn't limit herself or what she thinks she can have.
- 27:50Speaker 2: And so watching her on stage also had like so
- 27:52Speaker 2: much emotion come over me because it was one of
- 27:55Speaker 2: those moments as well that was super activating to me
- 27:58Speaker 2: of listening to the way that her mindset is, how
- 28:01Speaker 2: she acts and what they do as a team in
- 28:03Speaker 2: her relationship, how she takes care of the children, how
- 28:06Speaker 2: he builds the business, how she also invests her own
- 28:08Speaker 2: money and has her own kidey as well as their
- 28:10Speaker 2: togetherness and all of it was just like, oh, I
- 28:13Speaker 2: kind of even tell you it was so activating, and
- 28:16Speaker 2: it just like the moment that I got there, I
- 28:18Speaker 2: was like deep in a hole in my mind. I
- 28:19Speaker 2: was like, oh, my god, my life and this and
- 28:22Speaker 2: that and what's happening and where do I want to
- 28:23Speaker 2: go and like helping me kind of pull together the
- 28:26Speaker 2: clarity of like what I want for myself and my
- 28:30Speaker 2: life moving forward. But also what hit me like a
- 28:33Speaker 2: ton of bricks was how I realized that in this
- 28:36Speaker 2: new season of my life, old parts of myself have
- 28:40Speaker 2: to die.
- 28:40Speaker 1: Yeah, in order for me to move forward.
- 28:43Speaker 2: And it was a huge thing that a lot of
- 28:45Speaker 2: the women who spoke, they kind of touched on in
- 28:48Speaker 2: all of their speeches. They were talking about how they
- 28:50Speaker 2: used to feel really sorry for themselves, and then they
- 28:52Speaker 2: realized that they couldn't speak to themselves like that anymore.
- 28:55Speaker 2: And then they realized that they were inconsistent, and then
- 28:57Speaker 2: they realized they weren't going all in, and they had
- 28:59Speaker 2: to make that decision to commit to their goals and
- 29:01Speaker 2: go all in. And it's not just about business. Of
- 29:05Speaker 2: what they spoke about was their relationship with themselves. And
- 29:08Speaker 2: I thought it was so before. And there was this
- 29:10Speaker 2: one speaker, her name was Sonya. She had me in tears.
- 29:13Speaker 2: I was laughing, I was crying. I was like feeling
- 29:16Speaker 2: activated in all the things. She was previously in the army.
- 29:19Speaker 2: She had a very tough upbringing. She joined the army
- 29:22Speaker 2: good trigger warning. She'd been sexually assaulted previously, and then
- 29:26Speaker 2: she joined the army because it was the one way
- 29:28Speaker 2: that she could gain control over her life, and now
- 29:30Speaker 2: she is like a very successful public speaker, business coach.
- 29:33Speaker 2: She leads all these women into financial freedom. And something
- 29:37Speaker 2: that she was talking about was how there are different
- 29:40Speaker 2: versions of you that get you to each level of
- 29:42Speaker 2: your life. True. And so for her it was like
- 29:45Speaker 2: she was the woman who was abused, and then it
- 29:47Speaker 2: was the version of her who felt like a victim
- 29:50Speaker 2: for a while and lent on substances, and then it
- 29:52Speaker 2: was the version of her who went into the army,
- 29:54Speaker 2: and then she went to the army, and then she
- 29:55Speaker 2: became a business owner and all of these different hats
- 29:59Speaker 2: and different versions of herself. She loved who she became
- 30:03Speaker 2: in that moment, but in order to reach her next level,
- 30:05Speaker 2: she had to allow the last version of how to
- 30:07Speaker 2: die like outgrew yes, who she was, Yeah, And she
- 30:10Speaker 2: had this big emphasis on loving the last version of
- 30:13Speaker 2: yourself that you used to be and not going I
- 30:16Speaker 2: don't need you anymore, but saying thank you so much
- 30:19Speaker 2: for getting me to the level that I'm at right now,
- 30:21Speaker 2: but I'm going to set you down aside, because the
- 30:23Speaker 2: version of myself who gets me to my next level
- 30:25Speaker 2: is the one who is committed and dedicated and doesn't
- 30:28Speaker 2: drink and doesn't lean on substances or doesn't feel sorry
- 30:32Speaker 2: for herself because something hard happened to her, But she
- 30:35Speaker 2: was the one who was empowering herself so cool, And
- 30:38Speaker 2: I just thought it was a really beautiful way to
- 30:40Speaker 2: look at the season that I feel like I'm in
- 30:41Speaker 2: right now, and I feel like it's highlighted so much
- 30:45Speaker 2: that I have now already begun to implement since the
- 30:47Speaker 2: moment I left the conference, implementing things in my business systems, structured,
- 30:52Speaker 2: bringing people on board, getting support, delegating, like actually stepping
- 30:56Speaker 2: into that next level of leadership for myself and my life.
- 30:59Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 30:59Speaker 2: But also there's a lot of discomfort in that too, definitely,
- 31:03Speaker 2: because whilst I've sat in this energy of how beautiful
- 31:06Speaker 2: it is felt to be inspired by all these women
- 31:08Speaker 2: who are doing so much more than me, and realizing
- 31:11Speaker 2: that like, literally, this guy is the limit and the
- 31:13Speaker 2: little bubble that I've been sitting in is just a
- 31:15Speaker 2: little bubble that I've put myself in, like it doesn't
- 31:18Speaker 2: actually exist, and just like letting that bubble pop yes,
- 31:21Speaker 2: and going, oh my gosh, like what is actually possible
- 31:24Speaker 2: is so much bigger than what you've thought has been possible.
- 31:26Speaker 2: That's cool, And equally the discomfort of knowing that parts
- 31:30Speaker 2: of myself have to die in order for me to progress.
- 31:33Speaker 1: I always say growth uncomfortable. Oh my gosh, isn't it.
- 31:36Speaker 2: I have felt equally so amazing and so great and
- 31:39Speaker 2: so inspired and never been more clear on like what
- 31:42Speaker 2: we're creating moving forward for she Rises and also for
- 31:44Speaker 2: myself as well, but just so displaced, like uncomfortable. Have
- 31:50Speaker 2: you ever felt the feeling of like going back into
- 31:52Speaker 2: an old environment and you feel like you're different in that? Yeah,
- 31:55Speaker 2: definitely I feel like that now, and not in a
- 31:58Speaker 2: bad way, not in a way where I want to
- 32:00Speaker 2: blow up my life or anything like that, or like
- 32:01Speaker 2: run away to balley like although we are going next
- 32:05Speaker 2: that I'm very excited. I love a holiday, but just
- 32:09Speaker 2: to the point where I'm noticing and witnessing myself as
- 32:12Speaker 2: a woman grow in the areas that I used to
- 32:14Speaker 2: be in it existing. Yeah, you know, it's like I
- 32:17Speaker 2: oally notice the part of the people pleaser in me
- 32:19Speaker 2: who doesn't get to come back anymore where I have
- 32:21Speaker 2: to tighten up my boundaries in my business where I
- 32:24Speaker 2: get to ask for more alone time or spend more
- 32:27Speaker 2: time on like a weekend or a Saturday afternoon, sitting
- 32:30Speaker 2: by myself, in my own energy, and like giving that
- 32:32Speaker 2: to myself and just noticing all the areas of my
- 32:35Speaker 2: life that I need more of, Yes, to.
- 32:39Speaker 1: Be able to become the woman that you want to
- 32:40Speaker 1: become and do the things you want to do.
- 32:42Speaker 2: That's right, yeah, or even start subtracting. And I've created
- 32:45Speaker 2: a piece of content the other day and it was
- 32:47Speaker 2: about how not everyone in your life right now will
- 32:50Speaker 2: be in your life in twelve months from now. And
- 32:52Speaker 2: it's interesting because what I realized while I was away
- 32:55Speaker 2: was like, there are like these people in the outskirts
- 32:58Speaker 2: of my life I'm not super close with that feel
- 33:01Speaker 2: like at arm's length, that feel like are there, and
- 33:03Speaker 2: I feel like I'm kind of holding on to for safety, Yeah,
- 33:07Speaker 2: to have people around, to have more people in my life.
- 33:09Speaker 2: But if I'm really honest with myself and I'm radically honest, yeah,
- 33:13Speaker 2: I don't align with those people and their values. It's
- 33:16Speaker 2: like there's a conflict in their values my values, how
- 33:20Speaker 2: I want relationships to be moving forward and things like that.
- 33:23Speaker 2: And it's those little micro moments in my life that
- 33:26Speaker 2: make me feel uncomfortable. I have to go wow, like
- 33:29Speaker 2: I have to now make a decision on this or
- 33:32Speaker 2: you know, decide what it is I want my life
- 33:34Speaker 2: to look like moving forward, you know. So it's like
- 33:37Speaker 2: moments like that, wanting to like move out of where
- 33:39Speaker 2: I am right now and like move into a new place.
- 33:42Speaker 1: Give me the space to actually see clearly that yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 33:45Speaker 1: it's like I was too close to it.
- 33:47Speaker 2: Yes, And while it's good and I have clarity, it's beautiful,
- 33:50Speaker 2: doesn't mean that it's not scary to act on. Yeah,
- 33:52Speaker 2: And I think that's the thing. But it's like, what
- 33:54Speaker 2: do I choose to do with that fear? And that's
- 33:57Speaker 2: what we talk about all the time.
- 33:59Speaker 1: You do it scared? Yeah, you do it scared because
- 34:01Speaker 1: we want.
- 34:01Speaker 2: The growth and we know who we're becoming. And I
- 34:04Speaker 2: think there's something that people don't really talk about when
- 34:06Speaker 2: it comes to growth is that sometimes shedding old parts
- 34:09Speaker 2: of who you used to be doesn't always feel that good.
- 34:12Speaker 1: Ol awful times scary.
- 34:14Speaker 2: It's uncomfortable, You have to make big.
- 34:16Speaker 1: Decisions, sometimes lose people that you love.
- 34:18Speaker 2: That's right, and even me feeling less like a people pleaser,
- 34:22Speaker 2: are just shedding like another layer of the people pleasing
- 34:24Speaker 2: aspect to myself, or not shrinking in certain rooms, or
- 34:27Speaker 2: like not downplaying who I am to make other people
- 34:30Speaker 2: comfortable and to feel more palatable for other people. So
- 34:34Speaker 2: much of that of me has died, and like literally
- 34:36Speaker 2: feels like I left it in the US.
- 34:38Speaker 1: That's so fucking cool.
- 34:39Speaker 2: It's so fucking cool. It feels good, But it's also scary, right,
- 34:42Speaker 2: It's the duality of holding both of those things.
- 34:46Speaker 1: As time goes on, it probably won't feel as scary,
- 34:48Speaker 1: feel braver, and you're certain in your decisions. Yes, it
- 34:51Speaker 1: just will feel more ease, and that would become your
- 34:53Speaker 1: new version baseline.
- 34:55Speaker 2: And also as well, it might feel a bit rocky
- 34:57Speaker 2: because I'm like nine days out for my period, so
- 34:59Speaker 2: it could be.
- 35:00Speaker 1: That yeah thing on the descent A beautiful, a cool update.
- 35:08Speaker 1: Watch this space, Yes, watch this space, Tiana Version thirty three,
- 35:13Speaker 1: one hundred and seventy nine. Thank you for sharing so cool. Well,
- 35:17Speaker 1: thank you for joining us for our big life update.
- 35:20Speaker 1: And we'll see you guys on Wednesday, and we'll see
- 35:23Speaker 1: you then. Bye bye,
