- 0:51Speaker 1: Hello friend, captain Terry Warner here.
- 1:10Speaker 1: This title of this podcast is Riding the Social Rollercoaster.
- 1:14Speaker 1: It will be podcast season 2025, episode number 36.
- 1:25Speaker 1: And I will publish it on September, the 15th 2025, at about one o'clock in the morning.
- 1:29Speaker 1: That ought to be a Monday.
- 1:30Speaker 1: You can get up early and be first.
- 1:34Speaker 1: I was driving my pickup through a small town when a speeding car passenger passed me and almost taking my left front fender off by pulling in in front of me when Sharpton cut him back in.
- 1:46Speaker 1: While not cursing, I did, however, blow my horn and shouted at the idiot who was raising and shaking my fist at him also.
- 1:56Speaker 1: I continued on down the highway and was pleased, and passed by another car.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Correctly, however, my youngest granddaughter had been riding me and was sitting in the passenger seat and as the car drove by, she clenched her fist, stuck it in the air and confessed in a loud voice why don't you watch where you're going, you stupid idiot?
- 2:21Speaker 1: Well, not stupid, watch out.
- 2:25Speaker 1: She yelled.
- 2:25Speaker 1: I was embarrassed and greatly convicted that my one-time action was picked up so quickly by this young girl.
- 2:33Speaker 1: I apologized to her and told her that her beloved grandfather was in the wrong.
- 2:39Speaker 1: However, she was too young to understand our driving laws and my apology lacked convincing force to change her behavior at the time.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Now, years later, I see on social media that a lot of people are committing the same sin of anger and outbursts towards others, because you could call it social rage.
- 2:59Speaker 1: I decided to dig a little deeper into this occurrence and was somewhat surprised that it could be predicted with great accuracy and easily done.
- 3:08Speaker 1: It is the first of the month and a lot of people are working every day and acting responsible.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Then, after a particularly hard day at work, the person is somewhat down and stops off for some kind of relaxation before going home and opens his door to a little more frustration.
- 3:26Speaker 1: The waitress comes out, trying to be nice and polite but cute and get everybody relaxed, spills a drink on their lap.
- 3:37Speaker 1: They discover they have a flat tire.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Or someone accidentally backs into their car and drives off On the rest of the way home.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Someone cuts them off and starts a heated conversation of road rage.
- 3:50Speaker 1: They finally settle down and relax, but the internet won't connect.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Or they try to watch some TV, but they discover the football game has now gone to pay-per-view.
- 4:03Speaker 1: So back to scrolling on social media, only to be censored for something somebody said about you.
- 4:08Speaker 1: You have no recourse or any way to find out what you supposedly did.
- 4:13Speaker 1: You decide to check your email and find it full of spam and fake billing statements.
- 4:19Speaker 1: You finally wind up back on social media and you've had enough.
- 4:23Speaker 1: Nevertheless, you get into an argument with someone you don't know, never met and probably is a bot and not even a real person.
- 4:31Speaker 1: This goes on for several days and you continue on your downward spiral.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Finally you can't take it anymore and lash out at the idiots, who are probably not real people anyway and once again fall into the trap of social rage.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Friend, it is okay and understandable to be outraged and voice your opinion, but you must do it so in a way that will inspire others to be constructive and encouraging to others.
- 5:02Speaker 1: You need to realize that you will never rise higher than your confession, and when you allow yourself to be aggravated by social media junk posts, you are starting the destruction behavior all over again.
- 5:17Speaker 1: What I do now I didn't start out doing this, but what I do now is say somebody pulls in front of me at a stop sign or a red light and I have to slam on my brakes or slow down quite a bit.
- 5:28Speaker 1: I used to yell on my ship, yell and shake my fist and say something I shouldn't have said and shake my fist and say something I shouldn't have said, but all that did was cause big, more outbursts and road rage.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Now, when that happens, I pray for them that they get where they're going safely, that they do not have an accident and that their safe driving will become a habit and they'll eventually come to know the Lord Jesus Christ and will experience that too.
- 5:59Speaker 1: And so I pray for them and I feel pretty good after I do that, I don't get down in my rut, I don't get down in my dumps, I don't get down in my grave and I stay on top of things.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Did anything change, no Other than my attitude, other than my giving my heart to the Lord?
- 6:20Speaker 1: The evil world will pick this up and start making you conduct yourself by circumstances.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Get this.
- 6:27Speaker 1: The evil in the world will pick this up and start making you conduct yourself by circumstances.
- 6:34Speaker 1: And then, every month, like clockwork, you repeat and fall for the same old behavior Road rage, social rage, discontent, cursing, hollering loud, yelling you name it.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Consequently, you stay in your infinity rut in life we call that a grave and become a loser.
- 6:57Speaker 1: You have literally dug your own grave, and getting out of your grave is simple to agree to but difficult to do in the real life, because it's going to take you changing that inner image of you.
- 7:11Speaker 1: And the only way you can change that inner image that you have when you look in the mirror.
- 7:16Speaker 1: You need to see yourself for who you really are.
- 7:20Speaker 1: If you're a Christian and born again, then your spirit man has been recreated anew, 100% anew.
- 7:28Speaker 1: That God was in Christ, reconciling himself to the world.
- 7:32Speaker 1: If you give your heart to Jesus Christ, you've been reconciled to the world.
- 7:36Speaker 1: If you give your heart to Jesus Christ, you've been reconciled to the world.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Now, instead of yelling and fighting and cursing at people and being disgruntled and mad and in a bad mood, show them love, kindness, compassion.
- 7:49Speaker 1: I'm reminded of John the Baptist being beheaded.
- 7:53Speaker 1: We all know the story and Jesus went out to a remote place where he could be alone because he was grieved.
- 8:01Speaker 1: John was a cousin and he wanted to be what the Lord wanted him to do, and he wound up healing thousands of people.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Because of ranting and raving at the king or whoever, beheaded John doesn't get you anywhere except deeper in the grave.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Okay, chaplain, terry, how do I do this?
- 8:29Speaker 1: I thought you would never ask.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Let me back up and say one more thing.
- 8:34Speaker 1: You have literally dug your own grave, and getting out of your grave is simple to agree to, but difficult to do in real life, especially if your body has not been trained and disciplined.
- 8:46Speaker 1: That's what the Word will do.
- 8:49Speaker 1: The Word of God is alive and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword dividing the thunder and the joints and the marrow, and is a revealer and intense and lays everything open before it.
- 9:04Speaker 1: You don't hide from the word.
- 9:07Speaker 1: So this year I started my little daily journal that I keep as a title how to Come Alive in 2025.
- 9:17Speaker 1: That was my main statement this year.
- 9:22Speaker 1: And I say how?
- 9:24Speaker 1: Or I say come alive in 2025, and then I say how?
- 9:29Speaker 1: By planting seeds.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Well, that's partially true.
- 9:33Speaker 1: You plant seeds and you should plant seeds, but a lot of us plant seeds only to have them die from lack of water and lack of nutrients and lack of fertilizer.
- 9:43Speaker 1: How does the Word of God live?
- 9:46Speaker 1: Man shall not live by bread alone that's your paycheck but by every word which proceeds from the mouth of God.
- 9:55Speaker 1: That's the word.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You want to change your situation.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Change the words coming out of your mouth.
- 10:00Speaker 1: You want to get out of debt.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Change the words coming out of your mouth.
- 10:05Speaker 1: You want to lose weight.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Change the words coming out of your mouth.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Get in the Bible.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Find out what it says about overeating.
- 10:12Speaker 1: Find out what it says about gluttony.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Find out what it says about cursing profanity.
- 10:19Speaker 1: Forward speech F-R-O-W-A-R-D.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Forward speech complaining accusation.
- 10:33Speaker 1: All right, listen to this, for no person will be justified, made righteous, acquitted and judged acceptable in his sight God, the Father's sight, by observing the works prescribed in the law.
- 10:46Speaker 1: No person's going to be made justified by doing the Ten Commandments.
- 10:50Speaker 1: You can't get there.
- 10:52Speaker 1: That was the problem with the Jews they would not accept God's gift of righteousness, of being born again, because they did not accept the faith, they did not take the responsibility to believe in faith, to believe in faith.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Consequently, if you don't believe in the faith that we'll get into in a minute, you can't be saved, for no person will be justified, made righteous, acquitted and judged acceptable in his sight, god the Father, by observing the works prescribed by the law.
- 11:32Speaker 1: For the real function of the law is to make men recognize and be conscious of sin.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Not mere perception, but an acquaintance with sin, which works toward repentance, faith and holy character.
- 11:47Speaker 1: But now the righteousness of God listen to this the righteousness of God, the right standing of God, the doing right with God, has been revealed independently and altogether from the law, although actuality, it is attested by the law and the prophets.
- 12:04Speaker 1: The law and the prophets showed us by their acts and deeds that this righteousness is of God and it works in us.
- 12:12Speaker 1: Isaiah 54, 17.
- 12:14Speaker 1: But no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise up against you in judgment, you shall show to be in the wrong.
- 12:23Speaker 1: This peace, righteousness, security and triumph over opposition is the heritage of the servant of the Lord, those in whom the ideal servant of the Lord is reproduced.
- 12:35Speaker 1: This is the righteousness or the vindication which they obtain from me.
- 12:43Speaker 1: This is that which I impart to them as their justification, or make them righteous, as their justification, says the Lord.
- 12:51Speaker 1: So step one is to admit you are a sinner.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Romans 3.23.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Believe that Jesus paid for your sins at the cross.
- 12:59Speaker 1: But God clearly shows and clearly proves his own love for us by the fact that, while we were still sinners, christ, the Messiah, the Anointed one, died for us, died for our sins, from 5, 8, amplified and a little bit extra by me.
- 13:17Speaker 1: So, putting it together, we ask ourselves what does the Bible say?
- 13:22Speaker 1: Well, here's what the Bible says the word, in other words Jesus, god's message in Christ is near you.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Where is it?
- 13:32Speaker 1: It's on your lips and in your heart.
- 13:35Speaker 1: The kingdom of God is within you.
- 13:37Speaker 1: That is the word Jesus, the message, the basis and object of faith which we preach.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Deuteronomy 30, verse 14.
- 13:46Speaker 1: Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is, and in your heart, your mind, your will, your emotion and in your heart, believe, adhere to, trust in and rely on the truth that God, the Father, raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
- 14:04Speaker 1: For with the heart the person believes, adheres to and trusts in and relies on Christ, and so is justified, declared righteous the person believes, adheres to and trusts in and relies on Christ and so is justified, declared righteous, acceptable to God, and with the mouth that he confesses, declares openly and speaks out freely for his faith and confirms his salvation.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Friend, ask yourself how much longer are you continuing or going to stay in that grave, in that rut, with your shovel digging and digging, and digging and digging?
- 14:38Speaker 1: The first thing you need to do is quit digging.
- 14:42Speaker 1: You do that by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and getting into His Word.
- 14:48Speaker 1: His Word will show you what you need to do, what you need to say, how you need to act, and God will mow due in his image and likeness.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Ephesians 2.10 says we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good work.
- 15:06Speaker 1: God has a plan for you.
- 15:09Speaker 1: You may be feeling down, you may be feeling too old, you may be feeling too young, you may be just not feeling that this is right for you at all.
- 15:18Speaker 1: That's not God, that's the devil.
- 15:22Speaker 1: The devil comes to kill, to steal and destroy.
- 15:26Speaker 1: But Jesus said I have come to give you life, and that abundantly.
- 15:29Speaker 1: But Jesus said I have come to give you life, and that abundantly.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Jesus also said man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
- 15:39Speaker 1: How are you living Down in the graveyard, digging Up on top, walking above the circumstances, if you don't get your heart right with God and give yourself to God?
- 15:51Speaker 1: The circumstances are going to control you.
- 15:54Speaker 1: And when somebody says, how are you doing, you won't answer by saying, well, okay, under the circumstances, you'll answer by saying my God meets all my needs.
- 16:06Speaker 1: According to his riches and glory.
- 16:08Speaker 1: I live and walk in divine health and prosperity.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Everything I set in my hand to do prospers.
- 16:13Speaker 1: I am a welcoming sight to someone who is in trouble and I will pray for the people that I meet that they be lifted up, because I know in planting seeds and planting seeds of kindness, compassion and helping people out financially, giving of my heart and giving to others to help them, I will be repaid back.
- 16:36Speaker 1: Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.
- 16:42Speaker 1: God gives me the power to obtain wealth.
- 16:46Speaker 1: The Holy Spirit gives me the wisdom and the insight of how to handle it in this world.
- 16:53Speaker 1: You have a blessed day, a very good day.
- 16:58Speaker 1: God loves you.
