- 0:27Speaker 3: you look fifty.
- 0:31Speaker 4: Es? You?
- 0:33Speaker 3: Do you need a touch up? Botox? Touch up?
- 0:36Speaker 5: I got a quote. I've sound like a Mazda three
- 0:38Speaker 5: that's been hit by a car. But I got a
- 0:39Speaker 5: quote for Botox.
- 0:40Speaker 3: How much was it?
- 0:42Speaker 5: It was baby botos. It's fifty nine dollars for perk
- 0:44Speaker 5: crow's foot and then one hundred and fifty nine I
- 0:46Speaker 5: think for the forehead.
- 0:47Speaker 3: Oh that's pretty good. That's not bad.
- 0:49Speaker 6: Let's actually talk about money stuff though, because this isn't
- 0:51Speaker 6: like she's on the skincare.
- 0:53Speaker 1: That would be a very good podcast.
- 0:55Speaker 6: I would shout that I'm going to heat up Dolly
- 0:56Speaker 6: Foster Blake and ask her if she's interested.
- 0:58Speaker 3: It could be the go to podcast.
- 1:00Speaker 2: Not Wow, oh my god, a second, you're on fire today, mate.
- 1:04Speaker 3: Wow, I'm going to see myself out. What's happened to you?
- 1:08Speaker 1: Mate? Are you know. I was going to say, you're
- 1:10Speaker 1: in a fighting move. Yeah, feisty.
- 1:13Speaker 7: I want to go.
- 1:14Speaker 2: I want to go serious question though, Mitch, what you're
- 1:16Speaker 2: like twenty one twenty two?
- 1:18Speaker 1: What is happening?
- 1:18Speaker 8: Mate?
- 1:19Speaker 1: Talks?
- 1:20Speaker 5: I'm twenty six and it's my birthday in a couple
- 1:23Speaker 5: of weeks your birthday?
- 1:25Speaker 3: Or do I have to call your mum and.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Ask you have to go through mum? The bicycle?
- 1:30Speaker 7: No?
- 1:30Speaker 4: I want something from your little.
- 1:31Speaker 3: Trip you What would you like? What would you like?
- 1:34Speaker 4: I do love skincare, so I love something skincare.
- 1:37Speaker 3: You want some skincare?
- 1:38Speaker 9: All right?
- 1:38Speaker 1: The moisturizer? Or why are you talking like that? Mate?
- 1:41Speaker 1: Stop being so creepy. That sounds heavy.
- 1:43Speaker 3: I really love something, Do you not me?
- 1:47Speaker 4: I'm talking of some sort of creep on myself?
- 1:49Speaker 1: Okay, all right, boyster man.
- 1:51Speaker 4: Maybe an ointment, maybe some sort of I just.
- 1:53Speaker 3: Want to ask Sarah.
- 1:54Speaker 2: You should ask his ma, which is a little throwback
- 1:57Speaker 2: to the ships on the Money radio show.
- 1:59Speaker 3: Yeah, I'll ask you, mate.
- 2:00Speaker 5: Should I just say something though? I've had a couple
- 2:02Speaker 5: of dms and guys. I want you to DM Victoria
- 2:04Speaker 5: traveling on all socials. I want you to send us
- 2:07Speaker 5: people as finding their marketplace and gum Tree.
- 2:10Speaker 3: Forest, send me your marketplace.
- 2:14Speaker 5: Send them to me at Mitch Turi, at Roebuck, and
- 2:18Speaker 5: at Victoria Devine. We all want them in the dms,
- 2:20Speaker 5: don't we, Guys.
- 2:20Speaker 3: No, we actually do. I feel like you've given it away.
- 2:23Speaker 6: You mentioned before that I'm going on a trip, and
- 2:24Speaker 6: I've been really strategic on the She's on the Money
- 2:27Speaker 6: podcast to pre record things so that it doesn't look
- 2:31Speaker 6: like I'm on holiday. But I've got it's not really
- 2:34Speaker 6: a holiday. We're going over to America to go to FINCN,
- 2:37Speaker 6: which is a finance Content Creators conference, which to me
- 2:39Speaker 6: sounds really exciting to everybody.
- 2:41Speaker 3: Else not so much.
- 2:42Speaker 1: That's so cool.
- 2:43Speaker 3: Thank you for your enthusiasm.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Speaking of finances and all things finance. Yeah, let's do
- 2:48Speaker 1: the show. Let's do the show. We are going to
- 2:50Speaker 1: tell you somebody spent forty million.
- 2:52Speaker 3: Dollars on a Father's Day press, a.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Father's Day present. What is happening with that? That's the
- 2:57Speaker 2: kind of thing.
- 2:59Speaker 6: Please go, let's go to the show because he's already
- 3:02Speaker 6: tapped out.
- 3:05Speaker 3: Definitely noted.
- 3:06Speaker 2: You sound like a bloody t rex over there, mate,
- 3:08Speaker 2: which is another throwback to the show. Let's start the
- 3:11Speaker 2: She's on the Money radio show right now.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Tomorrow. Guys, Father's Victoria.
- 3:21Speaker 2: You were telling us before you bought your dad what
- 3:23Speaker 2: three four pairs of socks, and it's actually lying.
- 3:26Speaker 6: You haven't no, no, no, I didn't get him socks.
- 3:29Speaker 6: But I also know he listens to this show high
- 3:32Speaker 6: down the few. My name is Eric, Yeah, yeah, Eric divine.
- 3:38Speaker 6: It's Father's Day tomorrow. I'm not going to ruin his present,
- 3:40Speaker 6: are you joking? But socks is definitely something he would
- 3:43Speaker 6: ask for. He's also good at asking for new Polo
- 3:45Speaker 6: T shirts and like nice white T shirts. And I
- 3:47Speaker 6: feel like that's a solid present because white T shirts,
- 3:50Speaker 6: over a period of time they go a bit yellow,
- 3:52Speaker 6: they like stretch out a bit. They don't look as
- 3:54Speaker 6: Chris get you down a white T shirt always.
- 3:56Speaker 3: Always, Victoria, I'm boring.
- 4:01Speaker 1: It's so boring.
- 4:02Speaker 3: I don't know how to tell you this. I am
- 4:04Speaker 3: a white woman in my thirties. What were you expecting
- 4:07Speaker 3: in good Point?
- 4:08Speaker 5: And you know what, Yeah, every since adding you on
- 4:10Speaker 5: be real, it's become more and more evident.
- 4:12Speaker 4: And it's just his white life, all right.
- 4:14Speaker 2: But from boring Victoria to vine A celebrity has gone
- 4:18Speaker 2: the actual opposite end of the scummage.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Get this right.
- 4:20Speaker 4: Beyonce has gifted her husband jay Z.
- 4:23Speaker 5: They've been married ages now, the ultimate Father's Day gift,
- 4:26Speaker 5: that's what they're calling him.
- 4:27Speaker 3: But I don't know if it's the ultimate.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Get this.
- 4:29Speaker 5: She got him a Bombardier Challenger eight point fifty private.
- 4:33Speaker 5: That's a point for the short price of forty million dollars.
- 4:37Speaker 1: That's actually not too bad for it.
- 4:40Speaker 3: What do you mean, Okay, I'm not rich like you, Trav.
- 4:44Speaker 3: I don't know how much jets usually costs.
- 4:46Speaker 4: What's the medium price, Trav?
- 4:47Speaker 9: No?
- 4:48Speaker 3: What did you pay for yours?
- 4:49Speaker 1: Traut through fifty?
- 4:50Speaker 4: No, I'm thinking of gym membership.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Because I'm thinking about, like, if you're going to say
- 4:55Speaker 2: a jet in context of things, I'm thinking a couple
- 4:57Speaker 2: of hundred MILLI at least. But I mean, when we
- 4:59Speaker 2: look back and think it's a Father's Day gift, that
- 5:01Speaker 2: is a little bit extravagant.
- 5:03Speaker 5: Yeah, here's the thing. A jet for a birthday? Yeah,
- 5:05Speaker 5: checks out big one twenty first, fifty sixtieth. I get
- 5:07Speaker 5: it maybe for an anniversary, but for Father's Day. No,
- 5:11Speaker 5: this jet holds fifteen passengers. It comes with only fifteen
- 5:15Speaker 5: fifteen cream leather interior, kitchen, two bathrooms. Apparently Beyonce said
- 5:19Speaker 5: this she thought it would be the perfect way to
- 5:21Speaker 5: show jay Z how much of a great daddy is.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Yeah, here's a plane. You're a great father.
- 5:25Speaker 2: I don't get it, Beyonce, why do you hate the
- 5:27Speaker 2: rest of us? Like, why do you want to make
- 5:29Speaker 2: us look like trash?
- 5:30Speaker 1: That's all Each.
- 5:30Speaker 3: Seat on that plane's worth two point six meal?
- 5:33Speaker 1: Victoria?
- 5:33Speaker 4: Yeah, what's what do you reckon?
- 5:35Speaker 1: Victoria? I love that you do the quick math. What's
- 5:37Speaker 1: a good budget to work with.
- 5:39Speaker 3: For buying a plane?
- 5:40Speaker 1: No, no, we'll talk off the air about that.
- 5:42Speaker 3: I just reckon fifty bucks. End of story.
- 5:43Speaker 6: But also you could say things like my presence is
- 5:46Speaker 6: your present if you forgot, or you're a tighter.
- 5:49Speaker 3: Yeah, but we don't use that word around here.
- 5:51Speaker 6: I actually do you know? Going back to the Beyonce thing,
- 5:54Speaker 6: why do they have to tell everyone they did that?
- 5:56Speaker 1: Yeah, that's it now.
- 5:57Speaker 5: It was his first Father's Day. This was a couple
- 5:59Speaker 5: of years ago. So this is when they.
- 6:01Speaker 3: First and this is all you've got.
- 6:04Speaker 1: This smells them classic.
- 6:06Speaker 3: This smells a classic. Mistery not putting.
- 6:08Speaker 1: After lit lines thirteen one, six five.
- 6:11Speaker 5: I want to know what did you spend a fortune
- 6:13Speaker 5: on for Father's Day that flopped?
- 6:15Speaker 1: I want backfired stories. I want he hated it.
- 6:17Speaker 5: I want Dad hasn't spoken to you since I want
- 6:19Speaker 5: it's no longer my dad. I emancipated myself. I want
- 6:22Speaker 5: the drama.
- 6:23Speaker 6: We should do this on Mother's Day too, when it happens,
- 6:25Speaker 6: because I reckon, there are a lot of mums out
- 6:27Speaker 6: there that are like, yeah, I got a nining board.
- 6:29Speaker 3: No, no, now I'm in jail for murder.
- 6:31Speaker 2: You can literally make a macaroni card as I did
- 6:34Speaker 2: three years ago, and I am a fully grown adult male,
- 6:36Speaker 2: and she will love the hell out of it. Exactly.
- 6:39Speaker 2: It's theft, all right, fern six five. We want to
- 6:41Speaker 2: know what did you buy for your dad? Doesn't have
- 6:44Speaker 2: to be this year. Why was such a train wreck
- 6:46Speaker 2: and how much did you spend on it?
- 6:48Speaker 1: Father's Day tomorrow, let's do this.
- 6:52Speaker 10: It's bad.
- 6:55Speaker 2: Yeah, Annoyingly, Beyonce bought jay Z a forty million dollar
- 6:59Speaker 2: jet for Father's Day. Now that's a pretty good gift, Victoria.
- 7:03Speaker 2: You're not going to tell us what you bought your dad?
- 7:05Speaker 2: Eric Devine for Father's Day. I'm just going to say
- 7:07Speaker 2: I bought my dad pistol, Pete, Roebucks something he is
- 7:09Speaker 2: absolutely going to love, Loki Flex.
- 7:11Speaker 1: What about you, Mitt Jury? What did you buy your dad?
- 7:13Speaker 4: Mark Jury?
- 7:14Speaker 5: Happy Father's Day? Mark, love you mate. I go through
- 7:17Speaker 5: a third party, So I go through it's mum.
- 7:20Speaker 3: Yeah, that's the third party.
- 7:22Speaker 5: They're so good, and I just give them a call
- 7:25Speaker 5: and they go, this is what they want.
- 7:26Speaker 1: They already know for some reason.
- 7:27Speaker 5: They go out and then I transferred my mom fifty bucks.
- 7:31Speaker 4: It's all set.
- 7:33Speaker 3: Then, thank you man. That's so good. You don't even
- 7:36Speaker 3: need an EA because you've got one.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Yeah, your mom may.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Because you know, when you don't go through your mom,
- 7:44Speaker 2: there is a huge chance it is going to absolutely flop,
- 7:47Speaker 2: that they're going to hate it. It's going to be
- 7:49Speaker 2: something that they don't want. It's probably going to be
- 7:51Speaker 2: a disaster. So that's what we want to hear from
- 7:53Speaker 2: you right now. On thirty one oh six five, what
- 7:55Speaker 2: did you buy your dad? You thought he was going
- 7:57Speaker 2: to love but absolutely flop?
- 8:00Speaker 1: Mick? What happened to you?
- 8:01Speaker 9: I well, it shouldn't have fipped. I was pretty confident.
- 8:03Speaker 9: I'm gonna be honest going into this. So I spoke
- 8:05Speaker 9: to my.
- 8:06Speaker 10: Mum, do you know what your old man has always
- 8:09Speaker 10: wanted to go skydiving?
- 8:10Speaker 3: And I said, well, I'm a good present.
- 8:12Speaker 9: I'm not doing that. I was convinced to it, so
- 8:14Speaker 9: I said, that's it. We're going to do it.
- 8:15Speaker 10: We're going to do it properly. So I found the place.
- 8:18Speaker 10: I went and got the full package. So you've got
- 8:20Speaker 10: go pros and photos, spent over a k. So I
- 8:24Speaker 10: rolled up with him.
- 8:25Speaker 9: Were so excited. He couldn't believe it. It was a surprise.
- 8:28Speaker 9: So we went up. I said, look, I'll go out first.
- 8:30Speaker 3: I don't know how this is going to go badly.
- 8:32Speaker 3: This feels really hot.
- 8:34Speaker 4: Can I just say it opens?
- 8:35Speaker 1: Is he still alive? That's just what I want to preface.
- 8:37Speaker 9: This opens, all right? So I go at first. Did
- 8:44Speaker 9: it come down? Parachute opens? I hit the ground, I
- 8:47Speaker 9: don't know ten.
- 8:48Speaker 10: Fifteen seconds before turn around to look at him, and
- 8:51Speaker 10: I'm so excited, so I'm just like, get it off
- 8:52Speaker 10: so I can run up and get him my heart
- 8:54Speaker 10: and as he's coming down and you can hit the
- 8:56Speaker 10: boy yelling who manages to get his league.
- 8:59Speaker 9: Tangled up, hits the ground. My oh, that looks a bed.
- 9:04Speaker 9: Can't get up. We've got to get im tagging the hospital.
- 9:08Speaker 9: He's broken his fa.
- 9:11Speaker 3: Happy Father's Day, Dada broke your.
- 9:13Speaker 10: Leg exactly so I've managed to shout out over at
- 9:18Speaker 10: kay and break a major bones. Since then, it's been
- 9:22Speaker 10: socks and jocks and nothing else.
- 9:24Speaker 3: Go back to the white T shirt.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Unfortunately, though, those socks are a lot bigger because of
- 9:28Speaker 2: his broken leg.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Anyway, traps the body still.
- 9:35Speaker 4: Thanks.
- 9:35Speaker 1: Mick mixed the storyteller.
- 9:37Speaker 4: I reckon.
- 9:37Speaker 1: He doesn't written down to picture to foxtail.
- 9:39Speaker 4: He wants to get a mini series the first.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Time he's told that story, I'll give you the heart.
- 9:43Speaker 2: And he's given us a call on thirty twenty six
- 9:45Speaker 2: five about her Father's Day present that was a flop.
- 9:48Speaker 4: Talk to us, Annie, Hey, Annie, ye Hi?
- 9:51Speaker 1: Anny?
- 9:51Speaker 3: Are you okay?
- 9:52Speaker 10: Are you hi?
- 9:54Speaker 3: How are you good?
- 9:55Speaker 1: Great? Tell us your story any what happened?
- 9:58Speaker 7: Well, my father in law and my husband are very
- 10:02Speaker 7: competitive golfers and we thought they deserved to treat, so
- 10:05Speaker 7: we decided to send them on this very exclusive little
- 10:08Speaker 7: golf weekend. Away. Flights included accommodation of beautiful golf club.
- 10:13Speaker 7: But when they bought it the plane, the stewardess asked,
- 10:17Speaker 7: who's a bit of golfer, and it was all on.
- 10:20Speaker 7: They ended up having a big fight and ended up
- 10:24Speaker 7: having quite a few too many drinks by the end
- 10:27Speaker 7: of the golf day. My husband had one, but my
- 10:30Speaker 7: father in law, being a little bit slightful and very
- 10:33Speaker 7: very jealous, decided that he would not wake up my
- 10:36Speaker 7: husband the next morning. He was in charge of getting
- 10:38Speaker 7: them up for breakfast and everything. He caught the flight
- 10:41Speaker 7: back on his own on the exclusive little light aircraft
- 10:45Speaker 7: and my husband had to make his lay to the
- 10:47Speaker 7: airport and just jump on a regular plane back.
- 10:52Speaker 6: Imagine being that salty that you literally wake up the
- 10:55Speaker 6: next day and you're like, you're not coming.
- 10:57Speaker 3: You know, it would have been.
- 10:58Speaker 6: Way worse if it was your dad and your husband
- 11:00Speaker 6: like that could have ended in tears.
- 11:02Speaker 3: I don't know they knew what they're up to.
- 11:04Speaker 2: Hey, if you've got yourself a little bit of a
- 11:06Speaker 2: money dilemma, you need some advice, you can hit us
- 11:08Speaker 2: up anytime you want.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Just search.
- 11:10Speaker 2: She's on the money on socials, just like Eloise has
- 11:12Speaker 2: done this week.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Nitch Yeah.
- 11:13Speaker 5: Property buyers agents I don't know what they are. Apparently
- 11:16Speaker 5: like you go through a company to buy a property, right, that's.
- 11:21Speaker 2: That's actually how it works, complicated.
- 11:24Speaker 5: And what they'll do is they'll buy it, and they
- 11:26Speaker 5: buy property and their agents and that's all I know
- 11:28Speaker 5: so far.
- 11:29Speaker 1: But I can't.
- 11:30Speaker 3: Believe how intelligent you are, honestly, turn out on your own.
- 11:35Speaker 1: This is She's on the Money radio show right now.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Let's do this.
- 11:40Speaker 5: Yeah, each week we'll bring someone's financial story on air.
- 11:43Speaker 5: We do it literally every seven days, and we get
- 11:45Speaker 5: Victoria's take on what they should do. So ELOUI sent
- 11:48Speaker 5: us this message on that she's on the Money Facebook group.
- 11:50Speaker 5: And if you're not part of that community.
- 11:52Speaker 3: On Facebook group, oh, it's you know.
- 11:54Speaker 5: What its like out there when I'm a bit lonely,
- 11:56Speaker 5: I've got no finance questions.
- 11:58Speaker 4: Anyone's seen the full moon.
- 12:00Speaker 6: Will literally comment and then be like, we're so proud
- 12:03Speaker 6: of you for seeing the full moon.
- 12:04Speaker 5: Meet I'm well done, Thank you, Eloise, She says, Hi, guys,
- 12:09Speaker 5: v I've saved hardcore for two years for a home
- 12:13Speaker 5: loan deposit uximately twenty five to thirty K by the
- 12:16Speaker 5: end of the year. If I have this sizeable deposit,
- 12:19Speaker 5: and I want to use a buyer's advocate because I'm
- 12:22Speaker 5: not confident in the buying process and have nobody to
- 12:24Speaker 5: lean on close to me for guidance. Would I need
- 12:27Speaker 5: to have more money put aside for this server? So
- 12:30Speaker 5: I mean she wants to know what to buya's advocates
- 12:32Speaker 5: normally cost and are they worth looking into and why?
- 12:35Speaker 5: And also what are they I.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Want to know?
- 12:36Speaker 6: So yes, you would need to put some extra cash aside.
- 12:39Speaker 6: So summary of all of.
- 12:41Speaker 3: That, let's step back.
- 12:42Speaker 6: A buyas advocate is somebody who helps you purchase your home.
- 12:45Speaker 6: So it could be somebody who is a property strategist
- 12:49Speaker 6: and they're helping you buy the right investment property because
- 12:51Speaker 6: maybe you're not investment property expert and you're like, I
- 12:54Speaker 6: just have the deposit, I just know what I want
- 12:56Speaker 6: the outcome to look like, and they make sure that
- 12:58Speaker 6: it aligns to your goals and value use. I personally
- 13:01Speaker 6: used Amylenardi, who is the co host of the Property
- 13:04Speaker 6: Playbook podcast if you guys are keen on learning more
- 13:07Speaker 6: about bias advocacy. But I used her to purchase our
- 13:10Speaker 6: first home when we bought and she ended up finding
- 13:14Speaker 6: us an off market property that put us in a
- 13:16Speaker 6: pretty good position and was something that, you know, really
- 13:18Speaker 6: aligned to what we're looking for at a price that
- 13:21Speaker 6: we really loved.
- 13:22Speaker 4: So what she'll go on hunt for? So you say,
- 13:24Speaker 4: I kind of want these couple.
- 13:25Speaker 5: Of bedrooms, this would be nice in the backyard, you know,
- 13:27Speaker 5: the skin tanning booth, and they go and find.
- 13:30Speaker 6: Yeah, the turning booth was really important, to be honest,
- 13:33Speaker 6: It's a different process for every single person, right. It's
- 13:36Speaker 6: a bit like financial advice in that it's personal. It
- 13:39Speaker 6: was a really good process for Steve and I because
- 13:41Speaker 6: when we sat down and looked at it, we actually
- 13:44Speaker 6: hadn't talked enough about the semantics and the non negotiable
- 13:47Speaker 6: things in the house and then the things that would be.
- 13:49Speaker 3: Nice to have. So it was good to have a
- 13:50Speaker 3: bit more clarity. It was good to have direction.
- 13:53Speaker 6: But the things she opened up for us was off
- 13:56Speaker 6: market properties basically, so properties that weren't listed on domain
- 13:59Speaker 6: dot com or real estate dot com that she could
- 14:02Speaker 6: bring us because she had so many relationships with different
- 14:05Speaker 6: real estates around the areas that we wanted to purchase.
- 14:08Speaker 2: Yeah, I've actually had a few friends who have been
- 14:09Speaker 2: buying in the past twelve months, and the amounts of
- 14:12Speaker 2: those people who have got off property stuff is crazy.
- 14:15Speaker 1: That's where it's at.
- 14:16Speaker 6: Yeah, that's where it's at because they usually move quicker.
- 14:19Speaker 6: You don't have to go through the full auction process
- 14:21Speaker 6: with an off market and essentially an off market property
- 14:24Speaker 6: just means it's not listed anywhere online, like the property
- 14:26Speaker 6: is technically for sale, but there could be a plethora
- 14:29Speaker 6: of different reasons it's not on domain dot com.
- 14:31Speaker 4: Wait, so do they door knock Victoria?
- 14:33Speaker 9: Like?
- 14:33Speaker 7: Hi?
- 14:34Speaker 6: Sometimes Like sometimes I've seen clients of mine literally go,
- 14:38Speaker 6: I really want to live on this particular street in
- 14:41Speaker 6: this area. They either door knock or they might put
- 14:43Speaker 6: a letter under the door being like, hey, you know,
- 14:45Speaker 6: my name's Trav and I really want to live in
- 14:47Speaker 6: this area. Maybe a little happy story that you grew
- 14:50Speaker 6: up in a local area and if you're considering like selling,
- 14:53Speaker 6: this is my budget.
- 14:54Speaker 3: Would love to talk.
- 14:55Speaker 6: It's not uncommon, and I think a lot of people
- 14:58Speaker 6: don't realize it's an option. I mean, you could do
- 15:00Speaker 6: those things yourself, but a buya's advocate kind of takes
- 15:02Speaker 6: it to the next level.
- 15:03Speaker 1: How much does she have to put a side for
- 15:05Speaker 1: the service, so.
- 15:06Speaker 3: It really depends on who you're going with and that
- 15:08Speaker 3: level of service.
- 15:09Speaker 6: Right, So if you're going the whole hog and you
- 15:11Speaker 6: want them to do absolutely everything, including the negotiation and
- 15:14Speaker 6: all the legals and you know, making sure that you
- 15:16Speaker 6: get the loan that you need, that's obviously going to
- 15:19Speaker 6: be far more expensive than a leaner service. So in Australia,
- 15:23Speaker 6: a buyers advocacy probably sits anywhere between five and fifteen
- 15:26Speaker 6: thousand dollars as a flat fee. I do get a
- 15:30Speaker 6: little bit wary, and this is probably a spicy opinion,
- 15:32Speaker 6: and some people listening are probably not going to be
- 15:34Speaker 6: happy with me, but I am very wary of buyers
- 15:37Speaker 6: advocates that are based on a purchase price, so they
- 15:40Speaker 6: get a percentage of what or a commission of what
- 15:42Speaker 6: you buy for, because I don't feel like they're working
- 15:46Speaker 6: in the best interest of you, because obviously the more
- 15:49Speaker 6: money you spend, the more commission they get, so obviously
- 15:52Speaker 6: the more expensive, the better for them.
- 15:54Speaker 3: So I don't particularly like that. I love a flat fee.
- 15:58Speaker 3: Most of them will have an upfront pain that you make.
- 16:00Speaker 6: It might be like fifty percent now, like pay two
- 16:02Speaker 6: and a half grand now, and then once you buy
- 16:05Speaker 6: the property and sign the contract you owe the other half.
- 16:07Speaker 3: That's great, but lots of semantics.
- 16:09Speaker 6: But tld are anywhere between five and fifteen thousand dollars,
- 16:13Speaker 6: and I would steer clear of people who are commission based.
- 16:16Speaker 2: Great advice as always, Victoria Devine. All right, if you've
- 16:19Speaker 2: got a question, just hit us up anytime search. She's
- 16:21Speaker 2: on the money on our socials. It's time to do
- 16:23Speaker 2: this save Saturday. Yeah, every week, Victoria, you give us
- 16:28Speaker 2: some sneaky little tips, you little sneak about how to
- 16:31Speaker 2: keep more bucks in our bank account.
- 16:33Speaker 6: You know how much pressure this is every single week.
- 16:35Speaker 6: I'm like hunting for super saver a Saturday tips. So
- 16:38Speaker 6: if you've got some, dm them to me so I
- 16:40Speaker 6: can use them on the show. Because less work is
- 16:42Speaker 6: better wor.
- 16:42Speaker 1: It's smarter, not harder. That's our mantre here.
- 16:45Speaker 3: But this week I had to do it myself, which
- 16:47Speaker 3: is a joke, but I mean good. They're good. I
- 16:49Speaker 3: promise like you.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Get paid for it, mate, and that's what you get
- 16:52Speaker 1: paid to do.
- 16:53Speaker 3: So okay, sorry, sorry, sorry, Well what do you got
- 16:55Speaker 3: for us?
- 16:56Speaker 1: All right?
- 16:56Speaker 6: So my first tip guys on the twenty eighth of septeen,
- 17:00Speaker 6: the national petrol price tax cut is going to end.
- 17:04Speaker 6: Yeah I know, I mean petrol is still expensive, but
- 17:07Speaker 6: it's going to get more expensive. So my hot tip
- 17:11Speaker 6: this week is to fill up your tanks before then,
- 17:13Speaker 6: and do it a day or two prior, because I
- 17:16Speaker 6: reckon the queues are going to be massive.
- 17:17Speaker 2: My dad used to fill up little drums of petrol
- 17:21Speaker 2: and have them in our back room, so we literally
- 17:23Speaker 2: have stats of a genius.
- 17:26Speaker 3: That's really safe? Is that way your house?
- 17:29Speaker 1: That chet?
- 17:31Speaker 2: It's starting to actually make a lot of sense in
- 17:33Speaker 2: a number of areas.
- 17:34Speaker 6: Does anybody actually even need to buy petrol for anything
- 17:36Speaker 6: other than their car these days? I remember my dad
- 17:38Speaker 6: used to get it for the lawnmower, But now my
- 17:40Speaker 6: lawnmower charges up with that Ryobi battery pack that just
- 17:44Speaker 6: keeps going and going.
- 17:44Speaker 1: Here in boats all right, mate, Oh.
- 17:47Speaker 6: Yeah, we're not really. He's trav knowing the cost of
- 17:50Speaker 6: private jets and me each and his boat in here.
- 17:54Speaker 6: I am being like, you know, what would be really
- 17:56Speaker 6: handy one of those lime scooters.
- 18:00Speaker 2: So we're filling up before September twenty eight? What else
- 18:03Speaker 2: we got?
- 18:03Speaker 6: Mister Anthony Albanizi, who happens to be our prime minister.
- 18:06Speaker 6: At this point in time, he has just announced that
- 18:09Speaker 6: there is free Tafe in twenty twenty three. What a
- 18:13Speaker 6: money win dress good galore. The fact that it's now
- 18:16Speaker 6: free is going to open so many doors for so
- 18:18Speaker 6: many people who maybe we're questioning it before and not sure.
- 18:22Speaker 3: So I love this.
- 18:23Speaker 1: Hey, Mitch, what do you got for us? Mates?
- 18:25Speaker 5: Yeah, this is a little one that I use all
- 18:26Speaker 5: the time, retail me Not. Have you guys heard of
- 18:29Speaker 5: retail me Not? I have.
- 18:30Speaker 3: My mom told me about this.
- 18:32Speaker 1: I love it.
- 18:32Speaker 4: It's a coupon website. It's when you got to check
- 18:34Speaker 4: out and I always see.
- 18:35Speaker 3: This, you being sponsored.
- 18:38Speaker 4: I seriously like them, not being paid by them.
- 18:40Speaker 5: You use retail me Not and they give you coupon
- 18:42Speaker 5: codes and you save five ten percent, maybe a free
- 18:44Speaker 5: little gift with purchase. It's my favorite thing to do
- 18:47Speaker 5: when I'm shopping online.
- 18:48Speaker 4: Retail you Like.
- 18:49Speaker 3: That's really good, because do you know what you can
- 18:51Speaker 3: do with retail me Not. We've spoken on this show
- 18:53Speaker 3: before about shot.
- 18:54Speaker 6: Back, which is essentially an app that gives you cash
- 18:56Speaker 6: back on your purchasers, and there's like a chrome extension
- 18:59Speaker 6: that you can just in so it's super easy. But
- 19:01Speaker 6: you can double up because if there's a coupon code,
- 19:03Speaker 6: you can use the coupon code and you can use
- 19:05Speaker 6: the shop back code and get a double money win.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Coupon coming bacception.
- 19:09Speaker 3: Yeah, I like it.
- 19:10Speaker 4: Quickly you have one. Jo always brings one. It's always terrible,
- 19:12Speaker 4: but quickly to end the show.
- 19:14Speaker 3: Yeah, thank you, but we let him be included me exactly.
- 19:17Speaker 1: It's a sliding scale.
- 19:18Speaker 2: Well, us speaking about career changes before Victoria is where
- 19:21Speaker 2: it's at because the government is going to be footing
- 19:24Speaker 2: our help debt for twenty twenty three and twenty twenty
- 19:28Speaker 2: four to study in nursing and midwiffery.
- 19:31Speaker 1: So that is where it's at.
- 19:32Speaker 4: Get a whiff of that heart. That is very exciting.
- 19:35Speaker 3: See, I've seen this in the news all this week.
- 19:38Speaker 1: Here we go.
- 19:39Speaker 3: I'm sorry, I'm sorry. It's a good like it sounds sick.
- 19:41Speaker 1: Right, here's your slapebox, divine yea, all right.
- 19:44Speaker 6: So thank you. Let me step up and then we'll start.
- 19:47Speaker 6: There's a few things with this, right, what about the
- 19:49Speaker 6: students that are already studying, So it's for the next
- 19:51Speaker 6: ten thousand people who kind of sign up from my perspective,
- 19:55Speaker 6: I genuinely think it should be the next ten thousand
- 19:57Speaker 6: people to graduate, not the next ten thousand people to
- 20:00Speaker 6: go into it. But then, also, if you've got all
- 20:02Speaker 6: this cash that you're able to subsidize people's help debts with.
- 20:06Speaker 6: Please don't get me wrong, frontline workers absolutely deserve this.
- 20:10Speaker 6: But could we just pay nurses more to do their
- 20:12Speaker 6: jobs instead of forgiving their help debt? Because I guarantee
- 20:16Speaker 6: if I sat down and said, two nurses, you can
- 20:19Speaker 6: get paid more per hour for what you do and
- 20:21Speaker 6: be remunerated even better or have no help debt, they're
- 20:24Speaker 6: gonna say that they want to be paid more per
- 20:26Speaker 6: hour because a.
- 20:27Speaker 3: Help debt doesn't incur any interest.
- 20:30Speaker 6: So it's alone that if they're not working, they don't
- 20:32Speaker 6: have to pay back. I've got a lot to say
- 20:34Speaker 6: about frontline workers and first responders and people who you know,
- 20:38Speaker 6: especially over the last three years, have had it pretty tough.
- 20:41Speaker 3: If we've learned.
- 20:42Speaker 6: Anything over the last three years, it's that we need them.
- 20:45Speaker 6: Why don't we paying them properly?
- 20:46Speaker 4: Yeah, now, I'm with you.
- 20:48Speaker 3: It's a good idea in theory.
- 20:49Speaker 2: Okay, Well, you've done way too much work for this
- 20:52Speaker 2: super Savis Saturday, so our She's on the Money community.
- 20:55Speaker 2: If you have a sneaky tip you want to submit,
- 20:57Speaker 2: just search She's on the Money on Socials. We got
- 21:00Speaker 2: to get out of here, though, we being you and I, Victoria.
