Latest / This Is My Journey | The GLP-1 Podcast / S1 E11: Wellness Beyond Weight Loss - Finding Balance with BRYSK (with Nathan Hindle)
Transcript
- 0:00So today we're diving into the part of health transformation that often gets overlooked, recovery. So for many people on a GLP-1 medication, the focus is all about losing the weight. But what actually happens when your body is adapting faster than your recovery?
- 0:15Recent research from 2025 found that whole body cryotherapy, which is exposure to extreme cold, significantly reduced inflammation markers and improved metabolic health, especially in people managing obesity. Another study has showed that cryotherapy, when combined with lifestyle change, lowered LDL cholesterol
- 0:35and fasting glucose. So it is clear recovery isn't a luxury, it is part of the process and that is where today's guest comes in. So let's roll the intro and I'll tell you why I'm so excited about today's episode.
- 0:51Welcome to This Is My Journey, a podcast where real people share real stories of transformation, resilience, and growth. I'm Mark, and after navigating my own path through major lifestyle change, I created this space to open up honest conversations around identity,
- 1:09mindset and what it really takes to evolve. So along the way we'll also hear from professionals, you know, from pharmacists to psychologists and fitness experts who help us make sense of the science and support behind these journeys. So whether you're just starting out deep in the process or you're finding your footing after big change, you are not alone. This is your place. This is my journey. Let's walk it together.
- 1:37Welcome back everyone and today's guest is Nathan Hindle who I had the chance to meet while I was in Manchester visiting the incredible new wellness studio Brisk, a space that is quickly going to become one of the UK's most exciting recovery and performance centres. So Nathan has built something truly special here. His approach to wellness goes far beyond aesthetics. It is about helping people rebuild, recharge and rethink what recovery really means and
- 2:04From cryotherapy and red light therapy to compression recovery and mindset work, Brisk is transforming how we look after our bodies. And if you're on a GLP-1, nobody needs this more than us. So in this episode, we are diving into how these treatments can support your body throughout a GLP-1 journey, helping to protect muscle, strengthen joints, boost mental clarity as you adapt to this new lifestyle and way of thinking in your new body. So before we get into it, though, I just want to say what a pleasure it was to experience Brisk for myself.
- 2:34The personalized touches and genuine care did not go unnoticed. And yeah, that was my first visit and honestly, one of the highlights of my weekend to Manchester, I have to say. So Nathan, thank you so much for having me and for giving up your time today to share with everybody how Brisk can support people on this kind of transformational journey.
- 2:56Yeah, perfect. Yeah, it was great to meet you all. Happy that you sort of felt the personalized stuff we've tried to do. We're from the run business by heart. So yeah, it's certainly something we try and bring to the front of what we do besides the help of the wellness and the sort of mental well-being that we provide here. Yeah, no, it was absolutely fantastic. Like, I honestly had the best time. And yeah, it's an absolute pleasure to have you on here. So really, I suppose, to kick things off, do you want to share maybe just a little bit about you in terms of your background? You know, what sort of led you into...
- 3:25you know, the wellness base in general and how Brisk came to life and everything you offer? Yeah, it was sort of a two-pronged attack for me personally. I can't take all the credit. My dad was the one that sort of started the venture whilst I was still in the military. He's sort of come from a business background, he's owned and sort of managed businesses before. Yeah, he sort of got into the
- 3:46space just basically from a mental aspect and a mental well-being aspect uh you know and this can be from anybody that's maybe even just trying or showering or plunging uh meditative exercises that's normally people's entrance in and that's sort of what uh sort of we did so personally yeah i jumped on board after being founded after the company was founded by my dad and yeah i'd gone through a little wellness journey myself from a sort of a skin perspective
- 4:10angle really I struggled with my skin growing up which again takes a huge toll mentally uh physically so yeah I found a lot of comfort through the services to to be preventative and to yeah to be helpful from that angle but yeah we started with our sister company we've we've moved to Manchester now essentially we're yeah we've sort of upgraded the equipment a little bit become a bit more of a wellness and lifestyle studio as opposed to being seen as a recovery clinic so that's where that that sort of angle fits in bringing bringing what we do and bringing sort of
- 4:39natural means of wellness to the forefront of people's thinking when it comes to different journeys you might be on. We essentially just use science-backed equipment to provide things that the body naturally can utilize. Yeah. No, that's honestly, that's something that I didn't really know existed before until...
- 4:59I actually went and experienced it all and, you know, realized how many different benefits there are to the types of equipment and therapies and things that you guys offer. So I suppose the history behind it all, you know, it's obviously very personal for you. And, and, you know, I think that's, that's really great to get into some of the therapies and things that you offer. Most of them have a real benefit to anybody that is on a journey, like
- 5:26me on a GLP-1. And I think definitely for me, looking at this whole journey, I want every sort of area ticked in terms of trying to get better and work on my own wellness. So I think everybody will be really interested to hear what you've got to say today. And yes, I think we'll just get straight into it with the questions about what all you have to offer. So I think
- 5:47In terms of, you know, one of the things that I really, really enjoyed was the cryotherapy. So cryotherapy is becoming massive, huge talking point again, especially around people focusing on weight loss and recovery. So for anybody listening, can you maybe explain just how that actually works on the body and what people can expect to feel during and after a session?
- 6:11Yeah, so there's been a huge movement for the cold stuff from so-called plunging and the wind-off programs that came about. So yeah, that's now developed into the whole body cryo movement that's occurring that we've seen in the States. They've been going for quite a while. But yeah, essentially, you're subjecting the body to temperatures of minus 87 degrees Celsius so you're not to initiate a physiological response that you're probably not going to get
- 6:33anything else, you know, given the fact that it's so cold. But what the body will then do, it just goes into overload, protection mode essentially. And so your liver will release full shot proteins. Your blood vessels will constrict, so it'll start prioritizing the core and the vital organs in the body. So you get vasoconstriction, you get muscle activation. But then also from a mental aspect, when you leave the chamber, you essentially just put your body through something pretty spectacular. So you've got the dopamine increase of up to 200%, the norepinephrine,
- 7:00So also the dopamine being the feel-good hormone. Norepinephrine, which is like the anti-inflammatory regulator and A regulator. So you get that out of up to 500% spike. So again, the post benefits from doing it are amazing.
- 7:15weirdly it's not as harsh as cold plunging so it's nice it's where we got the name brisk from so when you step into the chamber it is a really refreshing feeling you'll remember it yourself yeah it gets you down to a really you know efficient cool temperature but it's really safe and and you know some people even find it enjoyable just because of the feeling of it so yeah it's you know it's a lot more daunting than it feels but yeah the benefits that come with it are spectacular yeah no i definitely didn't expect i think i was more
- 7:42like getting into my head before getting into it, but actually coming out of it, it was like the feeling you have coming out and it's weird. And you did say this before, you know, going into it about the temperatures and stuff on, and you know, it'll maybe not feel just as cold as you think it's going to feel. And that was definitely the case. It was cold. Don't get me wrong, but not as cold as what I thought, like terrifyingly cold is what I thought it was going to be. But, but yeah, no, just the feeling afterwards was just incredible.
- 8:08Yeah, it's really good. Again, let me try and sort of use it as much as we can, but it's definitely one of the few things that will give you instant feedback as well. You know it's worked straight away. I think that's what makes it so enjoyable. No, definitely. So, you know, there's a lot of growing research around cryotherapy and that it helps reduce inflammation and even support like glucose control and stuff. So, you know, have you seen benefits like that that have come through in terms of clients and stuff through Brisk?
- 8:36Yeah, definitely. Again, I would say with the trial, there's not a lot you can't talk about in terms of what it can help with. Obviously, the coal being used as an anti-inflammatory defense mechanism for years. There's research to suggest that the Egyptians, the ancient Egyptians were using cold water therapy for medicinal purposes. It's all down to that regulation of circulatory benefits, so in phasor constriction, increasing the circulation, disposal of that, all that waste products through lymphatic circulation from...
- 9:04the metabolic effects from prilotherapy. So from an anti-inflammatory point of view, there's not a lot really that can beat that. And the studies are coming thick and fast to show that as well. And yeah, that sort of blood sugar regulation, your body's instantly trying to find a source to heat itself back up or to stay warm. And it will use your fast-acting energy, which is your glucose storage in your body. So it's its first point of call in order to generate heat, essentially. So yeah, it's brilliant from that blood sugar regulation in the body as well.
- 9:32And ultimately, it's amazing the fact that I can have on your body and sort of how your body responds to that. So
- 9:39You know, many people on a GLP one like me experience fatigue. I know I have. It's been crazy from time to time and also worry about like muscle loss and stuff on this journey. So just more or less when the weight comes off. So in terms of treatments like cryotherapy, red light therapy and the hyperbaric oxygen and stuff like how can that all help protect muscle and boost recovery and just increase energy in general?
- 10:07Yeah, it's quite an important point to want to focus on, really. Your muscle and your skeletal muscles are essential for just basic movements. It's definitely something that needs to be thought about, the cryo and everything, from improving circulation of oxidized blood so that protein synthesis is occurring more efficiently,
- 10:26So you're keeping the actual muscles oxidized so that the recovery of the muscles can happen as well a lot more efficiently. It's brilliant for the red light stuff. That's where you get that sort of cellular recharge. You've got the mitochondria of the cells producing more energy, so working more efficiently. And again, it slips very similarly into the hyperbaric stuff that is the mitochondria within the cells, which is the powerhouse of the cells, essentially, is fed by oxygen.
- 10:49So again, it's just about that creation of energy, the body working more efficiently, just giving the body the fuel it needs in order to help with things like muscle loss and maintaining the sort of muscle mass. Yeah. You've also got a bone density and bone structure. So a big one of that is the, you know, the natural collagen increase that occurs from like the cold therapy, brilliant for maintaining the structure of the bones, sort of elasticity in the skin and helping the sort of health of the skin, which again, can be sort of a big concern for people on the weight loss journeys, certainly. Yeah.
- 11:15No, it's literally I'm so interested in the sciencey stuff behind, you know, how it all works and all that there because there's so... Sorry to try and make it not too sciencey. Too sciencey, no, but honestly, it's literally one of them things. But yeah, no, I think, you know, everything that you're talking about there is just super, super interesting. And I, yeah, you could really, I know whenever I met you, we're all very in discussions and stuff and all that there and just super interested. I could talk about all this stuff all day.
- 11:45yeah i'll hit you with another one because literally i know there's been lots of people since i visited have give lots of questions you know to me and and what they want to know as well so you know a lot of people this this is one in particular a lot of people on this journey are you know nervous about getting active again and getting fit and and all that so in terms of brisk
- 12:10how can recovery therapies like compression and cryo and the lymphatic drainage that you do as well help rebuild confidence and reduce the risk of injury when you know starting movement and exercise because I know there's so many people that haven't exercised in so long and there is people that are maybe injuring themselves almost because because of what they're doing but I think there's you know there's so many benefits that way in terms of what you offer as well. Yeah I know it's a really really good point is that the
- 12:39You've got to remember that, and you'll have experienced this, a weight loss journey can be really lonely. And again, certainly for somebody that's starting off, that's maybe gone from no real experience of how to start it or what to do, what's best to do, the emotional support and the mental support that comes with that is so important. You can completely understand why it can be a really daunting journey
- 13:04a nerve-wracking process to even sort of make that initial step into making that decision. What we sort of do at Brisk everything is super personalized. You mentioned about sort of things that you've discovered about your body. I'm still discovering things about mine. Everybody is so individual. Everybody is so different. We work with everybody individually to ensure that they're happy with everything, that the structure of what we can provide is great for them. But again, just what the services we provide. Yeah.
- 13:29You know, it's about building resilience and it's about proving to yourself that you can do it. Not many people can get in and out of a minus 87 degree cryo chamber. And when you look at the sort of general population, not many people have done it as a percentage. So you're instantly building that mental resilience, showing yourself that you can do the tough things and you can make the tough steps initially. So psychologically, you'd be putting yourself on the front foot. Let's get out of our comfort zone. Let's do something that's really beneficial to you that not a lot of people are doing. Let me show myself that I actually can do this.
- 13:59And it comes, you know, this is very much a linear stereotype with a weight loss journey specifically. It's very much what are you eating? How are you exercising? And I think the emotional support and the wellness that's associated with a weight loss journey specifically is as important and is often overlooked muscically. So yeah, the...
- 14:19The services we do build mental resilience, shows you as a person you can achieve it, but again, it's prepping the body. So ahead of the, you know, ahead of the modular stage where you've got a long day at work, you are training, you're initially starting off, just giving it the best chance it can have to prevent injury, to prolong the fact that you want to be, you know, you want to be doing something sustainable and you want to make this a sustainable lifestyle for the body. So let's actually make a sustainable body. Thank you.
- 14:40definitely like what you touched on there in terms of the mental aspect it's and i say this all the time it's we don't address we address the physical but we don't address the mental and emotional side it's definitely being on this journey for me i've
- 14:55realized at the start, I thought it was more the physical, but I think the more I've been on it and the more I've learned in terms of how I've struggled in terms of keeping up with how my body's now looking and just trying to frame your mind as this new person, you know, I've really realized the importance of the mental side and the emotional side and definitely the therapies and things that you guys offer are, you know, amazing for helping with all that. So, you know,
- 15:19we had the opportunity to try almost everything that you guys offer. And I would definitely say every single one of them has a benefit to your physical, but also your emotional and your mental. Like literally, you know, there's something there that... I think the world's changing in the sense of, you know, let's not be reactive to our health. Yeah. You know, let's be proactive. Yeah. Let's spread the body. Let's do what we can before anything gets...
- 15:45you know, either irreversible or to a stage where we wish we could have done something earlier. You know, so the last five years, certainly from what I've experienced within, you know, let's talk about generic wellness now, 76% of the general population now are more focused on preventative health and preventative maintenance of the body. Going back into that weight loss journey, let's give the body the best chance it's got.
- 16:04when we start, let's give it the best head start we can so that when it does come to that arduous point and arduous moment where the body is changing and you're experiencing things physically and mentally, let's just make sure we are prepped to be able to deal with that the best we can. Yeah. No, that's something I...
- 16:18it's a bit of a mantra now that I have going forward. Like I definitely want to look at all that stuff. And I think I could totally agree with there with everything that you're saying. One of my favorite things definitely was the like the compression. So the lymphatic drainage and yeah, just in terms of that, like the compression boots,
- 16:39you know, they're becoming really popular among people, you know, who are walking more and just starting to work out more. So, you know, how do they support circulation and muscle recovery, especially, I suppose, somebody easing into activity that may be on a GLP-1? Yeah, so the compression boots, like I said, it's certainly something that we see high turnover before. You know, starting on a GLP-1 journey, a weight loss journey,
- 17:07you're potentially going from nothing to something. So in terms of that circulatory kickstart, you're probably experiencing the fact that you've maybe not been as mobile as you could be. So you've got a lot of fluid retention in the legs. Circulation is not as great. And again, the compression boots mimic muscle contraction. So they essentially promote lymphatic circulation, which means the movement of fluid in the soft tissue. But via that,
- 17:31sort of responds that essentially mimicking muscle contraction. So it's about eliminating toxins. It's about the movement of any fluid buildup. But again, when you first start training, the lactic acid buildup, the stuff that causes the aching and the sort of delayed onset muscle soreness, it helps primal lymphatic system to be able to deal with that a lot more effectively. So when you certainly get into a routine and into a structure of sort of getting back
- 17:55active, whether it's walking, whether it's training, you know, you want to be able to do that activity at the best you can, the best ability you can. And, you know, the compression boots are a brilliant tool to sort of allow the body to be able to do that as effectively as possible.
- 18:10It's one of them ones that I'd always seen pictures of, but always wondered what was the benefit of it. Why were people dressed up in these boots to their waist, do you know what I mean? And what was it actually doing?
- 18:27you know, it was really being with you and, you know, I had done a little bit of research beforehand, but yeah, like being with you and explaining it and the benefits and all that there, I'm like, this, you know, this is really beneficial for people here. So sometimes I think people forget about like targeted recovery and, and just, you know,
- 18:46things like localized cryotherapy or full body lymphatic drainage you know how can these types of things really help reduce inflammation i know we're you know we're talking a lot about inflammation and they all really do that but like you know how how can things like that help reduce inflammation water retention and you know puffiness for i suppose anybody that's that's on a similar journey
- 19:10Yeah, no, I think inflammation is menacing a lot, but it has become such an important buzzword within
- 19:17you know, the genetic wellness world, it's the buildup of information is the cause of quite a lot of things that we should be avoiding. The localized priority is brilliant. Again, the one thing you don't want is something really sort of what you made deem as little or negative to be the reason that you aren't able to progress with your journey. So we see a lot of people that may be coming to reduce inflammation around joints, specifically knees, ankles. But again, you know, people are going from sort of
- 19:43nothing or very looking to try to do something, you know, the chances are in the body, you know, the body may get damaged a little bit and it's about that specific maintenance and that targeted maintenance of any sort of concerns. It works very similarly to the whole body cryo, but it's, again, it's targeted. So, you know, it's about the cold being sensitive at a specific point in the body, that sort of response, the nerve ending, the temperature drop, move blood away from the area, move any fluid away from that area. So that's where you get that anti-inflammatory response and that sort of reduction of fluid and puffiness
- 20:12And then, yeah, as the body sort of naturally warms up and oxidized blood flow is going back to that area, the body's more capable of sort of fighting any inflammation, any injury. And it's just a brilliant tool to sort of help with a lot of things and a lot more specific concerns, should I say, not smaller, because everything can be quite detrimental, can't it? So yeah, some more specific concerns. Yeah. I mean, for example, I don't know if I told you, I'm currently booked in for surgery. I've got a complete rupture of my ACL and my left knee, so yeah.
- 20:39for me personally, just from a comfort level, you know, just from day-to-day maintenance, I'm having to use a localizer to keep that information down. It helps with range of movement in me so I'm able to do the little tasks like walk and get to and from work and just experience like every day without being burdened. So again, you know, you've got that side to it as well. You know, how can I maximize, you know, the equipment to sort of help and maintain a normal daily routine really? Yeah. I'm just starting kind of curiosity, like, you know, what is the
- 21:09Obviously, you know, you wouldn't offer it if it wasn't beneficial, but you have found real benefit in it then, you know, that localized cryotherapy. Yeah.
- 21:16Yeah, I mean, certainly the localizing in terms of the anti-inflammatory stuff, so that all the cold therapy that we do really, it's only until you see or experience something that is causing quite a large build of inflammation. In terms of before and after a session, I'm going for little to no range of movement in my knee and quite a bit of pain. Getting that pain relief, getting that range of movement back into my knee, getting that fresh circulation through the joint. It's...
- 21:44We've done sessions with clients before, and you can literally see the inflammation going down, even from areas people post-surgery might come to reduce bruising. Again, just from that sort of self-conscious side of things, a lot of people appear and just factor into the sort of mental aspect. You're going on a weight loss journey, you want to feel good, you want to look good. So we do a lot of things like that. But yeah, we can physically see the results, and we've seen some brilliant stuff from that perspective. It's been really good.
- 22:12It's crazy to think. And there'd be so many people that don't even know that stuff like that exists that can really help. So I think it's really good that you're on here trying to lighten that kind of stuff because it's funny because there's so many people actually know that are on this journey. And I think because a lot of us have all either been obese or whatever and a lot of that weight on your joints and things like that can really...
- 22:39impact your mobility and and almost the long-term effects you know that that has on your your joints and and all that there even even after you've maybe lost the weight so something like that actually is could be really helpful yeah the long term like longevity again is the work that gets thrown around in the industry and you know with a lot of people's focus now and i think like you said what can we do to you know total body for as long as we need our bodies are the best machines in the
- 23:04It's amazing what they can do and it's amazing what can be done with a little bit of help. So yeah, let's try and let's try and maintain that for as long as possible. Definitely. So yeah, just kind of sort of taking a step back to what we were talking about a little bit earlier. So I kind of want to go a little bit more into that sort of cold exposure route again and how that can support mental health and just create that connection.
- 23:27I suppose, reset effect. So, you know, from your perspective, how important is that mindset shift for somebody on a GLP one journey? So for me, even short bursts of cold, like have really, really helped my head and the clarity and, you know, like I've said, I think it's just as important. You know, as the physical changes that we're going through, the, the mental side of any journey can't ever be ignored. And I think the world is waking up a little bit to it.
- 23:57The one thing that we probably didn't touch on with the cold stuff is the benefits of sleep in relation to the cold stuff. Now sleep, you can get into such a violent cycle with the lack of sleep in terms of waking up, being motivated with fatigue, sats of energy. Sleep is an amazing tool to kickstart sleep.
- 24:17the way that you look after your body can dictate how you go about the next day, the next week. So a lot of the stuff behind the cold therapy is brilliant to sleep, the red light, again, brilliant for melatonin, serotonin regulation. So the exposure to the red light in the morning, in the evening, getting that type of light exposure into the eye to get the circadian rhythm regulated and ready for essentially the day ahead or the night. There's a lot of studies behind the different sort of lights that are
- 24:43We're exposed to now with technology and the blue lights and things like that and how it can be affected to sleep. So again, a lot of this stuff shows brilliant benefits for sleep regulation. And I've always touched upon the up to 200% dopamine increase the feel-good hormone. You want to be feeling good in what you're doing. You want to be motivated in what you're doing. And the cold is one of the very few things that will give you that dopamine spike.
- 25:04The dopamine spike that it gives, it also doesn't fall below the threshold in which it becomes addictive. And it is sustained for a good few hours afterwards where all the things that give that dopamine spike only last a few minutes. And you do fall below the line in which it then becomes addictive. So you don't get that from the cold. It's a very sustained, natural dopamine increase that's going to set you up for the day. It's going to help build that mental resilience. You're doing something tricky. You're doing something that not a lot of people have done in their life. Yeah.
- 25:28at any time so yeah it's it all feeds into itself and it all becomes that cycle of you know mental supports physical kind of things so it's super important yeah no just sort of touching on something you said there in terms of the sleep and stuff and all that there like i know from a weight loss point of view you know sleep is such an important part i don't want to say that it helps weight loss but sleep definitely you know as you're saying there in terms of your body and you know at at
- 25:54that gives your body that, I suppose, the energy to, to, to,
- 26:00lose weight and just function in the day and all that there. So, you know, things like the red light therapy and all, you know, is great. And I definitely noticed, you know, I know when I was there, I got the mask off you and all that. And I have, honestly, I've used it literally twice a day, every day. I'm not even joking. And, you know, I definitely could vouch for everything you're saying there in terms of, you know, just how it makes you feel. And yeah, it's just, it's really
- 26:28You know, I always wondered why, because I've seen ones before and, you know, it's multiple different colors and stuff. I'm like, how does this actually work? Like, does this really work? But actually, since I've read a lot more about it, and, you know, the studies there show that it does work. So, yeah, no, it's great. It's like everything as well, that you don't experience anything.
- 26:48everything works so cohesively. You can't just get a good night's sleep and ignore the rest of the journey. You can't just try to build a bit of mental resilience. Once it all feeds in together, the results can be astronomical. And it's just about creating a greater envelope of opportunity and things that people can actually implement into that cycle that is going to be able to maximize the outcome, essentially. Yeah. No, brilliant.
- 27:12You've worked with everyone from athletes to people who are just starting out. What's one of the most inspirational transformations that you have seen where these therapies have really changed somebody's mindset and their actual physical health as well? Yeah. I mean, there's so many, probably I can probably pick out two big ones.
- 27:36We had a woman who couldn't see us suffering what's called topical steroid withdrawal, which is essentially the body's inability to fight an inflammatory condition based on the fact that they've had steroid-implaced creams. You know, the result is life-changing, you know, full-body eczema, not being able to sleep. You know, she'd actually got it during pregnancy and she wasn't able to feed her child.
- 27:59she were really struggling uh and you know quite an extensive course with us we sort of worked with her you know making sure she got special and staying late you know we just did all we could to help her we did sort of two or three months really really trying to tackle some sessions and she the transformation was something i've never even seen before she came in sort of two months after that and i didn't even recognize her
- 28:24it was unbelievable. She's sort of become a really good friend of the business now. And, you know, we, she, yeah, it was, it was amazing to see. She was able to enjoy motherhood then and enjoy, you know, going about even just being able to leave the house. And, uh, so yeah, so amazing for confidence, amazing from, from that perspective. Um, and then they also have another one where there were, he, he used on, he used on the gym. He was 76, really struggling, arthritic in his knees, you know, just from years of being battled by resistance training. And,
- 28:52and things like that. And he came in with his nephew and he couldn't even stand up or sit down on his own, really struggling. So they went in the cryo chain and together came out. He sat down on his own and he started crying and he said he hadn't been able to do that for as long as he can remember. And it was a subconscious act because he wasn't, you know, he got that immediate anti-inflammatory response. The pain was reduced from that sort of
- 29:15the cold attack of the sort of nerve endings and stuff. So yeah, he got instant relief from it and it was brilliant to see. Again, it's just about the quality of life. What can you do for your body to try and make it be the best it can in whatever situation you're in? I could go on and on. We've seen some, you know, pre-existing the pudding with what we do and what we've seen. Yeah, it's amazing the transformation you see. You know, essentially it can be life-changing for people, you know, doing this type of stuff. You know, like... A lot of, you know, you mentioned it earlier on about how it's quite new. So we often get a lot of people
- 29:46it's my last chance to try and do something. So yeah, it is. It's, it's definitely that it's life changing, you know, with all sorts of people that don't want to leave the house, that don't want to go to university, that don't want to do anything that, you know, then, you know, you then on the fence of depression and mental health issues and the, the other stuff that, the stuff that comes with it and the,
- 30:06wellness therapy that we do is amazing to see. Yeah, no, the results seem to be crazy for some people. And I think, yeah, I think there needs to be a bigger...
- 30:18light, Sean, on the benefits of all this stuff. And I think that's why it's, you know, I'm really pleased that you, you know, give up your time to come on here and talk about it because I think it's, I think it's so important for, for people, not even just on a weight loss journey, but just in general, any type of recovery journey, you know, I think it's really, really important that people understand and, you know, realize that.
- 30:41these types of things are options out there that they can use. Yeah, I think one of the big things for us is removing the stigma of, you know, you don't need to have a reason to use it from a reactive point of view. The way you sort of try to approach it, certainly opening our Manchester studio, is what can we bring to people's routine, into their existing structure and into their life, is essentially going to not only be preventative, but it can aid with longevity. So it's about...
- 31:09enhancing the lifestyle in which you want to live, whether that's a weight loss journey, whether that's something, you know, staying away from any sort of skin conditions like I struggle with personally, whether you're just generically active as a person and you want to sort of give the body the best chance it's got to recover and rest. It's about finding that balance between what can you incorporate into your life to help you with the goal you've got. And yes, there's a bit of a stigma at the moment. I think it's because you want me to see it in a leading sports at the moment. Yeah.
- 31:35But yeah, what it can do just for anybody and everybody is life-changing. Yeah, definitely. I think with your studio in particular in Manchester, the one that I was in, definitely there's...
- 31:48I think what I would, it's hard to convey it across in, you know, speaking terms, but actually going in, it was very, I know they are therapies and the word is probably not the right word, but it was very therapeutic, you know, that whole process and relaxing. And, you know, I think some of them things, if you haven't done them before, like that was my first time trying all that stuff.
- 32:11and a lot of that can be you know for some people it can be quite daunting going somewhere and trying all that type of equipment but definitely I from the moment I walked in you know like I said that that personalized touch and just how you know welcoming you guys were and and yeah just yeah I think it's a fantastic space. Yeah appreciate that thank you we've definitely tried to find that
- 32:33bridge between trusting the services from you know a health standpoint i've not been intimidated by the fact that you may have always seen i mean a medical setting in a clinical setting it's from being that bridge between and you know going in being comfortable being relaxed but getting the trust that you're gonna come out feeling amazing and they're gonna be beneficial for your health and you know we always push we we're family run we're both in the military we care about the people's results we care about the people that come in we're
- 32:58we've got individual notes on everybody's situation and it's a very personalised experience and we wouldn't have it any other way. It's the people first, definitely. It's the only way that you're going to achieve the results for individuals because everybody is different and everybody's got different circumstances. Yeah, I know. Totally. And, yeah,
- 33:13Yeah, I think if anybody hasn't tried it out, I would definitely say, you know, get in, get trying some of that stuff. Because honestly, like what I would say is I remember just that afternoon after trying all that stuff, like we were just, you know, because I went with a few friends and we came out just so relaxed and just really relaxed.
- 33:36It was just a really chill day and, you know, just feeling the effects of everything we had tried was brilliant. So thank you again. But I suppose for anybody that is listening, just to kind of finish on and who's maybe curious to try, you know, all these treatments and where, you know, where can they find you? I know you've mentioned mentioned that you're a Manchester studio. You know, what's the best way to get started with brisk?
- 34:01again it can be the most tricky part of anything that you try and do is sort of finding a way in and finding what works for you and what starts again we're very personal in the sense of we will be individual to anybody that comes in so whether that's finding us through social media we're currently actually going through a website built that will hopefully help everybody sort of
- 34:21guide them into some information for their specific reasoning of using services and sessions like this. So again, yeah, the website will be a really great place to sort of learn and see what we do. And then again, we're family room. We're always on the other end of a phone call. We'll always be answering back to messages on social media and emails. Any question whatsoever, we're happy to address and we're happy to discuss. And then, yeah, hopefully that leads to finding that
- 34:49you know, that comfort of being able to come through the door and see what we've got. Yeah, no, well, definitely I would recommend it to anyone. Definitely try it out, you know, at least give it a go, you know, to see if it helps for you and, or if it helps you. And, you know, I, for me, I just wish you were more local than what you are. Obviously with me being in Northern Ireland, it's not really, I need to get my water wings out to start swimming the channel. But, but yeah, I think, uh,
- 35:17Yeah, anybody that's local to the area or, you know, if you're in Manchester or around Manchester, definitely check out Brisk. But yeah, or, you know, these types of therapies are just, I think they're amazing and definitely need to shine more light on it. So all I would like to say is thank you so much again for joining me. And yeah, all that has been great. I'm so glad that we can...
- 35:39showcase it to anybody that is listening and, you know, just really talk about the benefits because I, like I say, I've spied it on probably too much about it, but yeah, it was an amazing experience and definitely something I want to continue doing in terms of, you know, some of the therapies that I tried out. So, so yeah, thanks again for coming on and sharing all that.
- 36:01Yeah, no, it's been great for the opportunity to talk about the services. Yeah, super passionate about it. So, yeah, I appreciate it. And I'm so glad you enjoyed it. We enjoyed having you guys down. It was so much fun. So, yeah, hopefully we can see you soon. Yeah, well, anybody that is interested or whatever, we can drop in your website, all your social details and stuff. We'll drop them all in just into the caption below.
