- 0:16Speaker 2: Mysterios Wild. Hello everybody, welcome to Freaky Friday.
- 0:24Speaker 1: It's your favorite host.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Stephanie and Tatiana.
- 0:27Speaker 1: And today I actually haven't read the story, and neither
- 0:29Speaker 1: have you, so.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Let's get into it. So today's submission goes a little
- 0:34Speaker 2: like this, and brace yourself. It's a bit of a story.
- 0:37Speaker 2: So this is my story of a stalker. It's still
- 0:39Speaker 2: somewhat ongoing. When we moved into our house, we were
- 0:42Speaker 2: told the house in complex behind us was a retirement village.
- 0:45Speaker 2: On our first night, we were very quickly realized that
- 0:47Speaker 2: it was a Department of Housing complex. The men in
- 0:50Speaker 2: the house directly behind us, we always thought was odd,
- 0:53Speaker 2: always smoking some kind of drug, listening to horrible music,
- 0:56Speaker 2: and dressing up in all kinds of weird things. He
- 0:59Speaker 2: would always be wanking on his balcony when I was
- 1:02Speaker 2: in my kitchen. He can see directly into or out
- 1:04Speaker 2: the back. I never thought anything of it, just that
- 1:07Speaker 2: he was a lonely person.
- 1:08Speaker 1: I never thought anything of it. While she's baking her
- 1:11Speaker 1: kids muffins, Oh my god, stuff. Oh yes.
- 1:15Speaker 2: One day he had a pretty violent outburst wear our
- 1:17Speaker 2: neighbor's two doors up. His neighbor was underneath him. The
- 1:20Speaker 2: police were called, and I decided to do some detective
- 1:22Speaker 2: work to see what he was charged with. I found
- 1:25Speaker 2: him on the court listings, had his full name, and
- 1:27Speaker 2: decided to do some good old Facebook stalking. There I
- 1:30Speaker 2: came across with pictures of me that he had taken. Oh.
- 1:34Speaker 2: He had written poems and songs about me, handwritten conversations
- 1:37Speaker 2: me and my husband had out the back. He knew
- 1:40Speaker 2: my kids' names, referred to being married to me for
- 1:43Speaker 2: seven years, the amount of time we had been living here.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Oh.
- 1:48Speaker 2: He had also made reference to being homicidal and having weapons.
- 1:52Speaker 2: We phoned the police straight away, who took it seriously.
- 1:55Speaker 2: They checked his house and he didn't have any weapons,
- 1:57Speaker 2: but he had stopped taking his psychotic meds. Is an
- 2:00Speaker 2: ice addict, and they admitted him to hospital. He broke
- 2:02Speaker 2: out the psych word and was on the run for
- 2:05Speaker 2: three weeks. What they did find him, they got him
- 2:08Speaker 2: his meds. He was also told no more waking on
- 2:10Speaker 2: the balcony.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Oh my god.
- 2:12Speaker 2: For me, there wasn't much the police could do. They
- 2:15Speaker 2: said that I could press charges for stalking and harassment
- 2:17Speaker 2: and get an AVO to stop him posting pictures. But
- 2:19Speaker 2: I need to face him in court, so I decided
- 2:21Speaker 2: against it. We did what we could to block his
- 2:24Speaker 2: line and vision into the house, but the minute a
- 2:26Speaker 2: light goes on, I go outside, all the curtains are open.
- 2:28Speaker 2: He is looking. He has seemed to back off posting online, though, this,
- 2:33Speaker 2: along with a heap of other things the last year,
- 2:35Speaker 2: sent me into a mental breakdown. I honestly felt ashamed
- 2:37Speaker 2: and embarrassed of the situation. I did a lot of
- 2:40Speaker 2: inner work. Ashy, you have honestly helped me through some
- 2:42Speaker 2: of my darkest days, and I honestly got through it
- 2:45Speaker 2: by finding empathy for him, Like, what would this person
- 2:47Speaker 2: have had to go through to end up like this?
- 2:49Speaker 2: He must be so alone. And I remember my therapist
- 2:52Speaker 2: who started seeing when all of this went down, was
- 2:54Speaker 2: absolutely astounded that empathy is what I turned to.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Wow, so many things to say. Good on you for
- 3:02Speaker 1: turning to empathy. I commend you on that because that
- 3:04Speaker 1: is it's hard to do.
- 3:06Speaker 2: That's an incredible skill.
- 3:07Speaker 1: And she's children, that is scary. I would love to
- 3:11Speaker 1: know if there's ever a conversation about moving if it's possible, Yeah,
- 3:15Speaker 1: I'd be so scared to live there. Maybe it's an
- 3:18Speaker 1: option at the moment, but holy moly, that is creepy.
- 3:22Speaker 2: I thought of discovering the Facebook messages and poems and
- 3:26Speaker 2: that he had been those saying that he was married
- 3:29Speaker 2: to you for seven years. Is created a whole story,
- 3:33Speaker 2: a narrative around the life that you guys have lived together.
- 3:36Speaker 1: He must actually believe it, Like I'm not sure what's
- 3:38Speaker 1: wrong with him, but the fact he's on medication, he
- 3:40Speaker 1: must actually really believe that there are a couple.
- 3:43Speaker 2: That's terrifying who's obviously attracted to you And makes sense? No, right,
- 3:51Speaker 2: because what makes sense about all the wanking. It's like
- 3:53Speaker 2: he wasn't just wanking on the porch right at the
- 3:56Speaker 2: back because he was doing it for fun. It was
- 3:57Speaker 2: like he out of you, Oh my god. Obviously maybe
- 4:00Speaker 2: just being on drugs, there was no external awareness of
- 4:04Speaker 2: what he was doing.
- 4:05Speaker 1: I just can't even I don't know why I'm laughing,
- 4:07Speaker 1: But a guy wanking on I just know what I
- 4:10Speaker 1: would do. I think like Stephanie would come out, yeah
- 4:13Speaker 1: and be so angry, would you, Yeah, what do you
- 4:16Speaker 1: think that you would do? I would not back down
- 4:18Speaker 1: and like close my Curt and I would go out
- 4:19Speaker 1: there and say something, Yeah my children are here. Yeah,
- 4:22Speaker 1: I just would be so mad and disgusted. I couldn't
- 4:25Speaker 1: stand for it.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Your muma cub would come out.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Yeah, I think I'd be really angry and really disgusted
- 4:31Speaker 1: and the thought of like him doing that over me.
- 4:33Speaker 1: But what if he's doing over the children.
- 4:35Speaker 2: Yeah, It's a different story, isn't it.
- 4:37Speaker 1: And then I'm curious what her husband thought and did. Yeah,
- 4:40Speaker 1: I mean you're probably scared of him, actually if he
- 4:42Speaker 1: said he's got weapons.
- 4:43Speaker 2: And obviously an ice addict or math adict all.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Yeah, so maybe I wouldn't go angry on drugs.
- 4:48Speaker 2: You'd have to be really cause the way that you
- 4:50Speaker 2: would behave in that situation, that's true. I feel like
- 4:54Speaker 2: you definitely would say something because it was a time
- 4:56Speaker 2: we were in the gym and there was this creepy
- 4:59Speaker 2: guy tell the story all the time, my god, and
- 5:02Speaker 2: just I'll be training and looking myself in the mirror
- 5:05Speaker 2: to watch my form, and I'll see him lock eyes
- 5:08Speaker 2: with me behind and not break contact all the way through.
- 5:12Speaker 2: And I just remember telling Ashy I was like, this
- 5:14Speaker 2: guy gives me the absolute dick. It's so creepy. And
- 5:18Speaker 2: we were training the gym one time. We were doing
- 5:20Speaker 2: step ups on a box and he was behind us
- 5:23Speaker 2: and we could see a glass window so we could
- 5:26Speaker 2: see his reflection, and he was staring at us, smiling
- 5:30Speaker 2: with teeth, like the biggest grin with teeth, not even
- 5:34Speaker 2: a little smirk. It was a big smile with deep
- 5:36Speaker 2: like looking through his eyebrows, like at our asses or
- 5:39Speaker 2: just at us in general. And it was he was smiling.
- 5:42Speaker 1: And he wasn't even about to do weights. He kind
- 5:44Speaker 1: of had his arms hanging up on the bars. And
- 5:47Speaker 1: I remember every step up we did, I was like,
- 5:50Speaker 1: oh god, he's here, and next time I'd be like,
- 5:52Speaker 1: oh my god, he's looking at us. Oh my god,
- 5:54Speaker 1: he's smiling tea. And then I was like nope. I
- 5:58Speaker 1: turned around. I was like, can you please stop staring
- 6:00Speaker 1: at us? And he smiles back, he's oh, sorry, sorry, sorry,
- 6:03Speaker 1: Oh my god, picked up his weights and I was like, nut,
- 6:05Speaker 1: we're out of here. It was the.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Worst, but I'm so glad you said something in that moment.
- 6:09Speaker 1: And she said two things. I said, can you stop
- 6:10Speaker 1: staring at us? And he kept staring. I said no, no,
- 6:12Speaker 1: I'm serious, stop looking, and he did and then he stopped.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Yeah, because we were just having this internal conversation back
- 6:20Speaker 2: and forth as we're doing step ups. Oh my god,
- 6:21Speaker 2: he's looking. He's not looking away. Oh my god, the
- 6:23Speaker 2: eye contacted, it's holding for so long, and he's smiling.
- 6:26Speaker 1: We were just say, there's that other guy in the gym,
- 6:28Speaker 1: that older guy. Yes, I hadn't noticed him until you
- 6:30Speaker 1: pointed him out, and he's something at me. He's looking
- 6:32Speaker 1: at you. But I don't get as creepy vibes. I
- 6:35Speaker 1: don't know why I compared to that one, the other guy,
- 6:37Speaker 1: But this guy's older and he I don't think he
- 6:40Speaker 1: even realizes how much he's staring at you. But he's
- 6:43Speaker 1: also a bit awkward.
- 6:45Speaker 2: He's a bit awkward. Yeah, I've caught him staring once before,
- 6:48Speaker 2: but I caught him staring at you. Actually, and you
- 6:50Speaker 2: you were in like a you had your legs spread
- 6:53Speaker 2: and you would no sound that sounds bad. No, you
- 6:56Speaker 2: were stretching right, and he had the bar where you
- 6:59Speaker 2: tapped the floor.
- 7:00Speaker 1: That's quite a yeah, right, So it's a bit.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Of an intimate kind of poposing over and you were here,
- 7:04Speaker 2: I was here, and I was looking at him, looking
- 7:06Speaker 2: at you, and then I was staring at him and
- 7:07Speaker 2: he caught me looking at him, and he looked away
- 7:10Speaker 2: quickly because it cool.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Oh my god.
- 7:12Speaker 2: You know there was one time it was in that
- 7:14Speaker 2: same time frame. I was looking at him and I
- 7:17Speaker 2: just locked eyes with him and I just stared at him,
- 7:19Speaker 2: and I was like, are you.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Not getting the hint?
- 7:21Speaker 2: Like are you okay?
- 7:22Speaker 1: And see you are?
- 7:23Speaker 2: I'm watching.
- 7:24Speaker 1: He's like, I'm more fast at my view.
- 7:26Speaker 2: He's like, oh hi, yeah, honestly.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Oh the other guy, oh my god. One more story.
- 7:31Speaker 1: That was filling up his shaker and you were doing
- 7:33Speaker 1: single oh ros and I was standing up because we
- 7:37Speaker 1: take turns obviously, and whoever's not doing the exercise is
- 7:39Speaker 1: the yupper who was doing the exercise is concentrating on
- 7:42Speaker 1: the exercise, and like probably three feet away there's a
- 7:45Speaker 1: bubbler and this guy that always says hello to you
- 7:48Speaker 1: probably fancies you building up a shaker. But as he's
- 7:50Speaker 1: filling it up, you know that look put their head
- 7:53Speaker 1: down and they're just staring. I felt like saying to him,
- 7:56Speaker 1: your shake is gonna spill, so if you keep looking,
- 7:59Speaker 1: are you right? But he didn't spill it, and I
- 8:02Speaker 1: just held back for that one. But I was like,
- 8:04Speaker 1: why did these guys? It's so obvious and so uncomfortable.
- 8:07Speaker 1: So uncomfortable of course, like your dad would not do that.
- 8:09Speaker 1: My dad, yeah, oh, not a respectful women that you
- 8:12Speaker 1: just would never catch him staring at a woman like that.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Why can not all men just think, oh, I've got
- 8:17Speaker 1: a daughter, I've got a sister, I've got someone in
- 8:20Speaker 1: my life, and I wouldn't like that happening too. Why
- 8:22Speaker 1: are they being such a creep But you know.
- 8:24Speaker 2: It's funny because there's a whole variety of men on
- 8:27Speaker 2: the spectrum. It's like, you know, we have the creepy
- 8:29Speaker 2: guy who was scaring and smiling, and then you know
- 8:31Speaker 2: we have people who were like, oh, I don't want
- 8:33Speaker 2: to make women feel uncomfortable, so I avoid looking at
- 8:35Speaker 2: them because I don't.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Want to be the creepy guy in the y.
- 8:37Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, so the whole variety of people.
- 8:40Speaker 1: But this story is crazy. Thanks for sending it in.
- 8:43Speaker 1: And I'm oh, I had a store when I was younger,
- 8:45Speaker 1: when I used to work with a supermarket. They had
- 8:47Speaker 1: to ban him from the supermarket. He started buying my
- 8:50Speaker 1: little gifts. And I was young. I didn't really think
- 8:53Speaker 1: too much of it. I just thought, oh, man, it's
- 8:55Speaker 1: interested in me. And he wasn't old, creepy old. I
- 8:57Speaker 1: was probably fifteen or six and he maybe was in
- 8:59Speaker 1: his forty a big age gap. Yeah, but he wasn't
- 9:02Speaker 1: bad looking, jog and ized car. But he started giving
- 9:04Speaker 1: me gifts, and then he started writing me letters. Yeah.
- 9:07Speaker 2: Wow.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Once again I was a bit flatted, I think because
- 9:10Speaker 1: I was not an attractive teenager. And wow, this man's
- 9:12Speaker 1: interested in me, and probably daddysh just too. And then
- 9:15Speaker 1: my boss started to notice that he was waiting for
- 9:17Speaker 1: me when I'd finished my shift, and a lot of
- 9:19Speaker 1: the time my parents did pick me up from work.
- 9:21Speaker 1: So my boss started it concerned and called the police.
- 9:23Speaker 2: Wow.
- 9:24Speaker 1: And when I finished work one day, he was out
- 9:25Speaker 1: there and the police came and like just escorted away
- 9:28Speaker 1: and said he's not a lot back there. I never
- 9:29Speaker 1: saw him again. Wow, I got full love letters, little
- 9:33Speaker 1: gifts grooming me.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Oh shit, Yes, Scarry's such a young age as well.
- 9:39Speaker 1: Oh my goodness.
- 9:40Speaker 2: I haven't had a stalker necessarily, but I had a
- 9:44Speaker 2: strange experience with an nex that I was seeing it
- 9:47Speaker 2: was like a couple of months. It was in like
- 9:49Speaker 2: two months, but I remember thinking like and feeling really
- 9:53Speaker 2: confused in the relationship, and I couldn't understand why. Like
- 9:56Speaker 2: this was before I had done any self development work,
- 9:59Speaker 2: so I was very conscious. Wasn't that aware of myself.
- 10:02Speaker 2: But I just remember feeling really conflicted and confused all
- 10:05Speaker 2: the time, and I was like, what is this feeling
- 10:07Speaker 2: that I'm feeling? And it was very love bombing from
- 10:09Speaker 2: the very beginning. So we had met online, but I
- 10:12Speaker 2: kind of vetted him. So he was a friend of
- 10:15Speaker 2: my cousin's husbands, Okay, so it was through someone that
- 10:20Speaker 2: I kind of knew, and I was like, oh, okay,
- 10:21Speaker 2: you know, they used to party when they were younger.
- 10:23Speaker 2: He knows of him, they used to spend time together.
- 10:25Speaker 2: Like he's not a complete stranger kind of thing. So
- 10:27Speaker 2: I felt a little bit okay to kind of explore
- 10:29Speaker 2: it with him. From the very beginning, it was very
- 10:32Speaker 2: like love story, fairy tale Cinderella, Like he wanted to
- 10:36Speaker 2: pursue a woman and build a life and build a
- 10:38Speaker 2: fairy tale, and it was like that from the very beginning.
- 10:41Speaker 2: And then we went on our first date probably three
- 10:43Speaker 2: weeks after that, and you know, everything kind of progressed,
- 10:46Speaker 2: and it was like fine while we were in it,
- 10:48Speaker 2: but I remember trying to break up with him because
- 10:51Speaker 2: I was like, I can feel this man gaslights me.
- 10:53Speaker 2: He gaslights me when I'm with him, he's beautiful and
- 10:57Speaker 2: it's very fairy tale and do anything for me. But
- 10:59Speaker 2: then when we're not in somewhere in public where it's
- 11:01Speaker 2: presented and it's a show, he would be like the
- 11:05Speaker 2: really negative person would watch the news and yell at
- 11:08Speaker 2: the TV and get really aggressive. And I remember feeling
- 11:11Speaker 2: in my body one time, sitting at his mom's house
- 11:14Speaker 2: on the lounge, feeling like really anxious and really disregulated,
- 11:17Speaker 2: and he looked at me and he's like, are you okay?
- 11:19Speaker 2: What's wrong? What's happening?
- 11:21Speaker 1: Are you okay?
- 11:22Speaker 2: And I just remember thinking my head, oh my god,
- 11:23Speaker 2: this guy's like not who he says that he is.
- 11:26Speaker 2: And tried to break up with him three times, literally
- 11:29Speaker 2: every single time. It was sitting on the lounge having
- 11:32Speaker 2: a conversation until six o'clock in the morning, until I
- 11:34Speaker 2: was so exhausted because he just wouldn't let me. He
- 11:37Speaker 2: just he wouldn't let me leave. It was just back
- 11:39Speaker 2: and forth, but this, but this, but what about future?
- 11:42Speaker 2: What about this? And I want to have babies with you?
- 11:43Speaker 2: And literally after six weeks he was saying, you wanted
- 11:46Speaker 2: to put a baby in me and it was just
- 11:48Speaker 2: too much, too soon, and it was very hectic. Anyway, afterwards,
- 11:52Speaker 2: throughout the year after that, we had been broken up,
- 11:55Speaker 2: and he would send me emails and voice messages and
- 11:57Speaker 2: he would call me on block numbers all the time,
- 12:00Speaker 2: like I would. It would be weird if I didn't
- 12:02Speaker 2: get twenty miscalls from him. And he left me this
- 12:05Speaker 2: voice message one time when he was drunk. It was
- 12:08Speaker 2: something about like missing the way that my skin smelt
- 12:11Speaker 2: and the way that like my hair smelt, and like
- 12:14Speaker 2: the way that my skin looked when I got out
- 12:15Speaker 2: of the shower, and it just was yeah, and all
- 12:18Speaker 2: these things emails about how he watches his friends with
- 12:21Speaker 2: their kids and how that's supposed to be us, and
- 12:24Speaker 2: he planned all of that out. I ended up getting
- 12:26Speaker 2: an abo, yeah, and going through the process for like
- 12:31Speaker 2: a year and a half that sort of thing. There
- 12:33Speaker 2: was some other things, but yeah, anyway, that's like the
- 12:35Speaker 2: core of the story. It was just so intense.
- 12:38Speaker 1: That's intense yeah. When I used to live at my
- 12:41Speaker 1: old house, I often would have fans rock up to
- 12:45Speaker 1: my house, good and bad because my address was posted
- 12:48Speaker 1: into a hate page, so everyone knew where I lived.
- 12:51Speaker 1: So it was really scary. And I've been followed home
- 12:53Speaker 1: a lot of times, and yeah, it was an awful time. Anyway,
- 12:56Speaker 1: this man followed me home. I didn't realize so part
- 12:59Speaker 1: my car came back and I was home alone and
- 13:01Speaker 1: he knocked the door and I just spent answered the door,
- 13:03Speaker 1: thinking it's the postman or something, and he was like
- 13:06Speaker 1: hello as she like real creepy, and I was like Hi,
- 13:09Speaker 1: can I help you? He's like, oh, my daughter really
- 13:12Speaker 1: loves you, so I followed you home. I was like,
- 13:15Speaker 1: where's your daughter. I'd love to meet her, thinking is
- 13:18Speaker 1: she a fan? And she's shy in the car. Didn't
- 13:20Speaker 1: really think too much of it, and he's like, no,
- 13:22Speaker 1: she's not with me. I was like, okay, can I
- 13:26Speaker 1: help you with something? And he's like, I've got a
- 13:28Speaker 1: letter for you, and then gave me a letter and
- 13:30Speaker 1: it was just like big love letter confessing his love
- 13:32Speaker 1: for me. And there was no daughter. Obviously. I just
- 13:35Speaker 1: had to play his game. I was like, oh, my gosh,
- 13:37Speaker 1: thank you so much, like just say come. I was like,
- 13:38Speaker 1: thank you. I can't wait to read this. Like, oh
- 13:42Speaker 1: my god, shut the door, locked it, called Steve and
- 13:44Speaker 1: never saw him again. Oh yeah, really creepy.
- 13:47Speaker 2: I was like, fuck this Kuyd knows where I live now,
- 13:49Speaker 2: that's so terrifying.
- 13:50Speaker 1: Yeah, and the police can't really do something with that. Yeah,
- 13:53Speaker 1: they haven't actually done anything wrong yet. Yeah, there's not
- 13:55Speaker 1: much you can do. Oh so scary though, said.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Now where you live and to have said, oh, it's
- 14:00Speaker 2: my daughter and be actually daughter his obsession for you, Like,
- 14:03Speaker 2: I don't blame him, You're amazing but crazy. How's that
- 14:09Speaker 2: for a creepy bye.
- 14:10Speaker 1: Creepy freaky Friday. But we love it, we love to
- 14:13Speaker 1: talk about it, we love to hear it, we love
- 14:15Speaker 1: you bring it in. So thank you so much to
- 14:16Speaker 1: whoever that was. Yeah, and we can't wait to hear
- 14:19Speaker 1: all the other ones. So, if you have not submitted
- 14:22Speaker 1: your story yet, maybe been sitting on the fence line
