- 0:16Speaker 2: to their elders past and present. We extend that respect
- 0:19Speaker 2: to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people's here today. Welcome
- 0:25Speaker 2: to the Grow and Glow Podcast. I'm Ashy, I'm Kiara.
- 0:28Speaker 2: This is a podcast where we learn, laugh, and level
- 0:31Speaker 2: up together.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Let's go deep, let.
- 0:33Speaker 2: The emotions flow, and find the lessons to Grow and Glow.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Nothing is off the table with Grow and Glow, and
- 0:38Speaker 1: we're here to be your expander. Hello, guys, welcome back
- 0:45Speaker 1: to the show. I'm so excited for today's episode. Oh,
- 0:48Speaker 1: We've just been waiting to give you the full download.
- 0:51Speaker 2: We've had so many messages asking all about our experience
- 0:55Speaker 2: at Eden Health Retreat.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:56Speaker 1: When we came out of Eating Health Retreat, I thought
- 0:58Speaker 1: I'd jump my story straight away, like tell everyone about it,
- 1:01Speaker 1: but oh, I just don't want to get cut off
- 1:03Speaker 1: after a minute. And I was so in this beautiful
- 1:05Speaker 1: energy of just like relaxing and go back to the
- 1:08Speaker 1: family and like just processing everything that I'd learned. And
- 1:11Speaker 1: I don't know, I just wasn't in the state to
- 1:14Speaker 1: do it, but I was like, let's wait to the podcast.
- 1:15Speaker 1: We can fully dive into details of our whole experience,
- 1:18Speaker 1: what we got out of it, all the cool activities
- 1:21Speaker 1: and treatments that we had, the food, Like, there's just
- 1:23Speaker 1: so much that happened in that three days.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Yeah, and while we were there as well, we actually
- 1:28Speaker 2: recorded clips in real time, which will be amazing to
- 1:32Speaker 2: share with you guys, so you can really feel the experience.
- 1:34Speaker 2: And also we give you, guys so many tips and
- 1:36Speaker 2: tricks and takeaways and things that we've learned what we've
- 1:38Speaker 2: been there, which is really cool.
- 1:39Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:39Speaker 1: So even if you never go to eat and which
- 1:41Speaker 1: you should, I ever have the opportunity, please do. It's
- 1:44Speaker 1: just incredible, absolutely incredible. You'll still get so much out
- 1:47Speaker 1: of this episode.
- 1:48Speaker 2: You sure will, all right. So we thought with the
- 1:50Speaker 2: Share of the week, we'd share some little tips and
- 1:52Speaker 2: tricks straight away, all things that we loved or learned
- 1:56Speaker 2: at eating with you guys.
- 1:59Speaker 1: I had a cohuna massage. You ever can have a
- 2:03Speaker 1: cohuna massage. It is I'm going to say the world's
- 2:06Speaker 1: best massage that I've ever ever ever had. Maybe it's
- 2:09Speaker 1: to do with the person that actually did the treatment though.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Her name is Tracy. She was amazing. But this massage
- 2:15Speaker 1: is like nothing I've ever experienced before. So that's my
- 2:18Speaker 1: share of the week. A kahuna massage perfectly with Tracy though. Yeah,
- 2:22Speaker 1: it's so good.
- 2:23Speaker 2: So my share of the week was once we got
- 2:25Speaker 2: back from eating health retreat, they actually sent you a
- 2:27Speaker 2: bunch of recipes to try home, which is really cool
- 2:30Speaker 2: as well, because while you're there, you're eating all this
- 2:32Speaker 2: really healthy, yummy food, but you don't know how to
- 2:35Speaker 2: make it up home. So I have been making on repeat.
- 2:38Speaker 2: They're almond and cinnamon cookies. This has literally been like
- 2:41Speaker 2: a weekly thing in our house. So they're absolutely delicious.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Down in the show notes below, we'll leave you guys
- 2:47Speaker 2: a recipe so you guys can take that away and.
- 2:49Speaker 1: A toast in the forum. Yeah. Perfect. Yeah. So when
- 2:52Speaker 1: we first arrived, we drove in instantly, you just know
- 2:56Speaker 1: you're coming to this beautiful place of instant relaxation. Arriving
- 2:59Speaker 1: at Eden, Oh my gosh, driving in, I feel like
- 3:01Speaker 1: I'm in a different country.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Yeah. She runs me a farm.
- 3:04Speaker 1: It's just so like relaxing. Yeah, smells just so much nature.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Which I feel like I'm really craving at the moment.
- 3:11Speaker 1: I feel like I really need that to just sent out. Yes.
- 3:15Speaker 2: And as soon as we got through no signal of
- 3:17Speaker 2: the phone, detox has has.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Everyone's so friendly here too. They are, yeah, concreeted with
- 3:24Speaker 1: a warm tea and a warm towel, and everyone knows
- 3:27Speaker 1: my name.
- 3:28Speaker 2: I was at the bathroom before and like cure at
- 3:29Speaker 2: the bathrooms here, and I was like, hello, that's so cute.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Just the nature. I like the trees.
- 3:36Speaker 1: I ALMOSTO thought we were just going for a little
- 3:39Speaker 1: nature walk, but I feel like we got so much inflammation.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Like everyone says nature's so good few but be so
- 3:44Speaker 1: good for you, But the science facts behind why nature
- 3:47Speaker 1: is so good for you, I'm really fascinating and a
- 3:50Speaker 1: to a guide the staff member took us through like
- 3:53Speaker 1: her even talking about her personal experience with like her
- 3:56Speaker 1: skin issues and her immune issues and how much actually
- 3:59Speaker 1: the medicine wasn't helping. Nature is what helped her. Sunlight
- 4:03Speaker 1: is what helped her. Being out in nature and breeding
- 4:05Speaker 1: the fresh air and just actually regulating her nervous system
- 4:08Speaker 1: through nature is what healed her. I found that fascinating.
- 4:11Speaker 2: I know, and like we all know that when we
- 4:13Speaker 2: get out and we do these things, you feel great
- 4:15Speaker 2: and feel it making after but actually understanding why and
- 4:18Speaker 2: hiring the science to back it.
- 4:20Speaker 3: That was really cool.
- 4:22Speaker 2: So I missed out on the mud bath one day,
- 4:25Speaker 2: but Ash she didn't, so yeah, this experience was really cool.
- 4:29Speaker 3: So cool.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Jay and I one of our producers, we actually got
- 4:32Speaker 1: to put mud all over our body. And I know
- 4:34Speaker 1: that sounds like why would you do that, but it's
- 4:36Speaker 1: New Zealand clay and it's really good for your skin
- 4:38Speaker 1: and my skin felt so soft afterwards. So we applied
- 4:41Speaker 1: the clay, which was just like a lot of fun
- 4:43Speaker 1: and felt really adventurous and felt like childlike play came out.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Was giggling the whole time, and then we laid in
- 4:48Speaker 1: the sun and it dries up, and we walked down
- 4:50Speaker 1: to the creek which was freezing cold. You guys know,
- 4:53Speaker 1: if you listen to the potty, if you know me,
- 4:55Speaker 1: I'm really not good with cold therapy. And I did
- 4:58Speaker 1: it in and out, in and out, but I ended
- 5:00Speaker 1: up getting in because you have to wash the mud off.
- 5:01Speaker 1: But I felt incredible being and this nature of feel
- 5:05Speaker 1: pond of beautiful fresh water, the trees in the background,
- 5:08Speaker 1: the sun on our skin. It was so refreshing.
- 5:11Speaker 2: That sounded like such a beautiful experience. I wish like
- 5:14Speaker 2: going back that I would have experienced in the my.
- 5:15Speaker 1: Behalth with you. Next time you'll have to experience time
- 5:18Speaker 1: I will have to.
- 5:19Speaker 2: But this time I had a little bit of a
- 5:20Speaker 2: headache day, probably the withdrawals from all the good stuff
- 5:23Speaker 2: that I was taking in the bad stuff I was
- 5:25Speaker 2: leaving behind.
- 5:25Speaker 1: But yeah, it was such a cool experience. And honestly,
- 5:28Speaker 1: when they said my bath, I was kind of a
- 5:30Speaker 1: little bit princessing, like, ugh, do I really want to
- 5:33Speaker 1: put mud on my skin?
- 5:34Speaker 2: Like?
- 5:34Speaker 1: But I was like, no, I'm here, I'm going all out.
- 5:36Speaker 1: I'm going to try all the things. It was just
- 5:38Speaker 1: really really fun. It was really connecting. It felt amazing
- 5:42Speaker 1: on my skin. And then even the challenge for me
- 5:45Speaker 1: of going into the cold creek that was out of
- 5:48Speaker 1: my comfort zone again and it was really nice to
- 5:50Speaker 1: be held and supported by the staff members as well.
- 5:52Speaker 1: They all dove into the water. I was like, oh
- 5:53Speaker 1: my god, these people are crazy. But I stepped in
- 5:56Speaker 1: and put my foot out. I was like, oh, I
- 5:58Speaker 1: can't do it. The self doubt came in and she
- 6:00Speaker 1: just sat with me, looked me in the eye, and
- 6:01Speaker 1: she says, we're gonna step in together. We're just going
- 6:03Speaker 1: to breathe, and she just locked with me, and I
- 6:06Speaker 1: got in and I sat in there for ages and
- 6:08Speaker 1: loved it. Washed all the mud off, felt really good.
- 6:11Speaker 1: And then Jane and I and the other people there,
- 6:12Speaker 1: we just laid in the sun and chatted and even
- 6:15Speaker 1: the view of where we were there was this massive
- 6:16Speaker 1: patch of grass with the sun on our skin, and
- 6:19Speaker 1: then there was just mountains everywhere, butterflies flying past, birds chirping,
- 6:23Speaker 1: and it was just, once again, so relaxing, so connecting,
- 6:26Speaker 1: and such a beautiful experience, but also just like fun
- 6:29Speaker 1: and silly as well. Me and you we love to
- 6:31Speaker 1: have fun. We'd love to be silly, and it was
- 6:32Speaker 1: just that was just cool, that playful ergy. Yeah, such
- 6:35Speaker 1: a different experience that I judged, and I'm so glad
- 6:38Speaker 1: I did it, so I'm not gonna lie. I had
- 6:39Speaker 1: a bit of a fear going into this retreat, that
- 6:42Speaker 1: being a health retreat. I thought it would be all
- 6:44Speaker 1: vegan food because a lot of health the trees I've
- 6:46Speaker 1: gone to, it's like raw vegetables and just soups and
- 6:50Speaker 1: handful of nuts, but I was so stoked. There was
- 6:53Speaker 1: so much protein, there was so much variety, so much flavor.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Like I could not get over the food. It was
- 6:59Speaker 1: ten out of ten.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Think we were both very pleasantly surprised.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, Yeah, how good.
- 7:04Speaker 4: Was the food.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Being a foodie but like a health conscious foodie, knowing
- 7:09Speaker 1: everything was one hundred percent organic and grown here, it
- 7:12Speaker 1: was just incredible. And I'm not intolerant or allergic to gluten,
- 7:16Speaker 1: but I know you eat glute free, and being here
- 7:19Speaker 1: not having any gluten, I feel like my brain FOG's gone.
- 7:23Speaker 1: And I feel like I've known that in the back
- 7:24Speaker 1: of my head gluten is just not good for my body,
- 7:26Speaker 1: but I kind of just justify it and oh it'll
- 7:28Speaker 1: be okay. You still feel okay. But I felt really
- 7:31Speaker 1: good not having it, So coming away from this, it's
- 7:33Speaker 1: like inspired me to be more creative with my food.
- 7:36Speaker 2: It's also showing me, like how many tasty meals you
- 7:39Speaker 2: can make with healthy ingredients, like even the desserts. Yeah,
- 7:42Speaker 2: like to not have all those extra additives in, and
- 7:44Speaker 2: it really hit the spot.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Genuinely feel taste of me. It's absolutely delicious.
- 7:48Speaker 2: What was your favorite meal?
- 7:50Speaker 1: Oh, I think the chicken lascar. And there were so
- 7:52Speaker 1: many vegetables in there, like like all the green leafies
- 7:55Speaker 1: that you couldn't really taste, but just the flavors will
- 7:57Speaker 1: combine together. But the broth, I love broth as it is,
- 8:00Speaker 1: but like a broth made from scratch is like next level.
- 8:04Speaker 2: Yeah, oh yeah, it's gonna have like this parrot puree.
- 8:08Speaker 1: That was delicious. Yeah, it's all been incredible, like even
- 8:12Speaker 1: little savory muffins. We've got afternoon tea, like I want the.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Now, you guys know, normally I'm pretty good with the
- 8:21Speaker 2: cold therapy. I went in to do the cryotherapy thinking
- 8:26Speaker 2: I've got this, but you know what, it was a
- 8:29Speaker 2: challenge and it was really nice to have a challenge.
- 8:31Speaker 2: But I found it really tough, but it was really
- 8:33Speaker 2: amazing and I felt so proud of myself afterwards for
- 8:36Speaker 2: pushing myself through.
- 8:37Speaker 1: I actually wanted Kiara to go first because she's ice
- 8:40Speaker 1: bath queen loves it, does it regularly, jumps in a
- 8:42Speaker 1: cold pool all the time, and they do say that
- 8:45Speaker 1: people that struggle with ice bas find this easier and
- 8:47Speaker 1: vice versa. It was still a mental challenge, but I
- 8:50Speaker 1: think because the staff is so beautiful, they're really educated,
- 8:53Speaker 1: They're explaining everything as you go, They're right there with you.
- 8:56Speaker 1: I just felt really supported to be able to push
- 8:58Speaker 1: through that and get through it, and I felt incredible afterwards.
- 9:02Speaker 1: So I felt like I could go run a marathon.
- 9:04Speaker 1: Like it's so much energy. Hey, feeling I'm nervous.
- 9:09Speaker 3: What are you about to do?
- 9:10Speaker 2: What's it called cryo therapy therapy?
- 9:13Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 9:15Speaker 1: Mine is seven degree, So just done Rocks' paper and
- 9:19Speaker 1: Kiara's going first. Yeah, I lost any final words.
- 9:24Speaker 5: Hopefully this isn't too crazy.
- 9:26Speaker 2: So cold therapy is so amazing for building up our
- 9:30Speaker 2: stress resilience. It's something that I incorporate my day to
- 9:33Speaker 2: day life because it makes me feel so incredible, makes
- 9:36Speaker 2: me be able to focus so much more. And this
- 9:39Speaker 2: is something that you can incorporate at home as well.
- 9:41Speaker 2: Like at the moment, I've just been jumping in my
- 9:44Speaker 2: pool each morning.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Because it's winter here.
- 9:46Speaker 2: But even if you fill your bath up up and
- 9:48Speaker 2: chuck some ice in there, there are definitely some ways
- 9:50Speaker 2: you can incorporate at home.
- 9:51Speaker 1: I just do a cold shower. Yeah, so is at
- 9:53Speaker 1: the end of my shower I'll just switch it to
- 9:54Speaker 1: as cold as it can be, and it's not as
- 9:56Speaker 1: cold as an ice bath, but you do a couple
- 9:58Speaker 1: of minutes with that, it's definitely going to still help
- 9:59Speaker 1: with your immunity, help with your inflammation, and help wake
- 10:02Speaker 1: you up and give you that energy burst you need
- 10:04Speaker 1: for the day. It's definitely something all of us can practice.
- 10:07Speaker 1: And even if you were to do the cold shower
- 10:09Speaker 1: first and then move into the pool and then go
- 10:10Speaker 1: and do an ice bas somewhere, like you're just building
- 10:12Speaker 1: it up.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Yeah, so good even these cold mornings. Something you can
- 10:16Speaker 2: incorporate as well is on your morning walk, wear the
- 10:19Speaker 2: band minimum. I know it's cold outside, but if you're
- 10:22Speaker 2: exposed to it for a longer period of time, even
- 10:24Speaker 2: when it's not as cold, you still read the same rewards.
- 10:28Speaker 1: Ash, I've spoken about this massage to anyone and everyone
- 10:33Speaker 1: who cares to hear about it, because it was just incredible.
- 10:37Speaker 2: What do you think made it so different to every
- 10:39Speaker 2: other massage you've ever had?
- 10:40Speaker 1: Honestly, the therapist, like her passion and her energy that
- 10:44Speaker 1: she was carrying the oil, the time length, like it
- 10:47Speaker 1: was a two hour treatment. I'm pretty sure it was
- 10:49Speaker 1: nearly two hours the state that I was in being
- 10:52Speaker 1: at Eden Health Retreat because I was already so relaxed,
- 10:55Speaker 1: so I found I could drop in, Or is when
- 10:56Speaker 1: I go get a massage in my day to day
- 10:58Speaker 1: life sometimes I'll still check my phone like in the massage,
- 11:02Speaker 1: or I'm just my mind still buzzing. I don't as well,
- 11:06Speaker 1: But there I was already relaxed. I really dropped in
- 11:08Speaker 1: and just fully enjoyed it. And it was just a
- 11:10Speaker 1: different style of massage that isn't offered day to day
- 11:13Speaker 1: like at home, I'll go get a time massage because
- 11:15Speaker 1: they're just everywhere and they're good. I love them. But
- 11:18Speaker 1: this was so rare and different and just beautiful, and
- 11:20Speaker 1: you could tell there's just a different energy behind it
- 11:23Speaker 1: and her techniques of how she used her own body
- 11:26Speaker 1: and energy to say penetrate this sexual word. But I
- 11:30Speaker 1: just been like, really connect with your body and she
- 11:33Speaker 1: could still find all my tight sore bits. But the
- 11:35Speaker 1: way she got in there, it never hurt. But it
- 11:38Speaker 1: also wasn't soft and fluffy, like I hate going to
- 11:40Speaker 1: get a massage and it feels that little butterflies like
- 11:41Speaker 1: get in there. I want you to help, you know,
- 11:44Speaker 1: it's incredible.
- 11:45Speaker 2: I think for me too, the biggest thing how you
- 11:47Speaker 2: mentioned was the length of time. I feel like sometimes
- 11:50Speaker 2: you're just dropping in, you're just starting to relax, massage
- 11:53Speaker 2: over the fact that you were like just getting so
- 11:56Speaker 2: into it and you had all the rest of the
- 11:57Speaker 2: time to go amazing.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Perfect amount of time. Yeah, perfect there. But she's been
- 12:02Speaker 1: there for ten years in credible.
- 12:03Speaker 2: A lot of them have been there for a long time.
- 12:04Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, and they just goes to show their passion,
- 12:07Speaker 1: like you can feel they want to be there and
- 12:09Speaker 1: they want to help you. And even at the end
- 12:11Speaker 1: she said something to each of us she did that
- 12:13Speaker 1: was so relevant. So she actually put her hand on
- 12:17Speaker 1: my right shoulder, touched my head on my right side,
- 12:20Speaker 1: and like just played around with my hair. And I
- 12:22Speaker 1: was like, what is she doing? And she said, A
- 12:24Speaker 1: lot's going on here, A lot's happening here. And I
- 12:27Speaker 1: said to her, Oh, I've got a brain aneurysm. And
- 12:30Speaker 1: she's like, I know, sweetie. She's like, I want you
- 12:32Speaker 1: to trust yourself, trust your body, and trust your universe
- 12:36Speaker 1: and trush your medical team. You've got this. I was like, WHOA,
- 12:39Speaker 1: how did she pick up on the energy on my
- 12:42Speaker 1: right side. And even when I told her the brain aneurism,
- 12:45Speaker 1: like her face didn't move. She's like, I know, honey.
- 12:47Speaker 1: I was like, wow, And what did she say to you?
- 12:49Speaker 2: She said to me, you are a warrior on the
- 12:52Speaker 2: top of the mountain. She says, you have a climbed
- 12:56Speaker 2: all the way up here. You have done the work.
- 12:58Speaker 2: She goes, don't go back down the mountain for anyone.
- 13:01Speaker 2: They need to meet you where you are at.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Yes, that was so powder. That was so special. So
- 13:07Speaker 1: she's really intuitive, really into it, like really connects and
- 13:10Speaker 1: knows what's going on. Somehow, I feel like everyone there
- 13:13Speaker 1: is yeah, yeah, I can't even talk.
- 13:18Speaker 2: She will around the country Like I feel like I'm flecting.
- 13:21Speaker 1: So the type of massage I just got Koona, yes,
- 13:24Speaker 1: which I've had one before, but that was just on
- 13:27Speaker 1: another level. Like I get massages all the time, It's
- 13:29Speaker 1: one of my favorite things to do. That was such
- 13:32Speaker 1: an experience. I just said to Kiara, like I feel
- 13:35Speaker 1: like I'm on another planet, Like I can't I have
- 13:37Speaker 1: no noise in my head, all my stress, all my worry.
- 13:41Speaker 1: It's like melted away. So this is a type of frequency.
- 13:44Speaker 1: I want to be able to tap into more. Oh
- 13:47Speaker 1: so beautiful. Wow, I would like come back to this
- 13:50Speaker 1: retreat just for the massage, just to see her.
- 13:53Speaker 2: I started off and I went in there, and she
- 13:55Speaker 2: just asked me about like what's going on in my life.
- 13:58Speaker 2: I kind of talked to her about heats of things.
- 13:59Speaker 2: I also spoke to her about my periods and how
- 14:03Speaker 2: they have been. Then I laid out on the bed
- 14:06Speaker 2: and she starts off by doing like a chant, and
- 14:09Speaker 2: she calls in your ancestors and also her ancestors as well.
- 14:13Speaker 2: What happens is she starts to kind of give you
- 14:15Speaker 2: a massage, but she will stop where there's like pressure
- 14:18Speaker 2: and then she will like push into it. So the
- 14:19Speaker 2: first one she would push into, she's like, something happen
- 14:22Speaker 2: in twenty twenty one. They want you to know like
- 14:24Speaker 2: all this stuff. So that's when I had my topic pregnancy.
- 14:27Speaker 2: So there were all these different scenarios and dates that
- 14:30Speaker 2: she was throwing around of significant years of my life.
- 14:34Speaker 2: And at the start, she said to me, this will
- 14:36Speaker 2: either be something where it'll like be a big like
- 14:39Speaker 2: release as in like releasing trauma, or it'll be a
- 14:42Speaker 2: big release as in like absolute release of gratitude Anyway,
- 14:46Speaker 2: she went through all those points and then she went
- 14:49Speaker 2: to one for my husband, for Kurt, and she's like,
- 14:52Speaker 2: oh my god, I'm literally gonna cry again. And just
- 14:54Speaker 2: like the amount of a feeling of like gratitude that
- 14:57Speaker 2: I felt for him was just insane, Like I just
- 15:00Speaker 2: started to sob like to the point there was like
- 15:01Speaker 2: not running out.
- 15:02Speaker 3: Of my f.
- 15:05Speaker 2: So nice. And then she did like a thing for
- 15:07Speaker 2: each of my kids. And I've just never like just
- 15:11Speaker 2: never felt like such a huge amount of gratitude just
- 15:15Speaker 2: for the support system that I've got. Oh the aloha
- 15:18Speaker 2: healing that was my lowhah healing experience. I've never experienced
- 15:22Speaker 2: anything like that before in my life. There's some more
- 15:25Speaker 2: personal things that I didn't quite touch on because it's
- 15:27Speaker 2: not really my story to share. But the things, oh
- 15:32Speaker 2: my gosh, that she knew.
- 15:34Speaker 1: The crazy how she can pick out dates from your life, yeah,
- 15:37Speaker 1: and kind of tell you bits and pieces of it
- 15:40Speaker 1: and where it's stored in your body, and then she
- 15:42Speaker 1: massages and moves through it. Yeah, it's incredible. What a gift.
- 15:45Speaker 1: And she said she's done that since she was a
- 15:46Speaker 1: little girl.
- 15:47Speaker 2: Yeah, Rachelle, she was incredible. And also, you know, the
- 15:49Speaker 2: crazy thing. Maybe that's had a little bit of an
- 15:51Speaker 2: effect on my periods this month, too true.
- 15:55Speaker 1: If you have heard period episodes, Yeah, that's so true.
- 15:59Speaker 4: True.
- 16:00Speaker 1: I didn't think about that neither. Wow, how powerful everyone
- 16:03Speaker 1: that goes there. Like there was one lady at dinner
- 16:06Speaker 1: one night who said she'd been to eat in health
- 16:08Speaker 1: or treat ten years ago and see Rachelle, And then
- 16:11Speaker 1: she saw her ten years later at the one we
- 16:13Speaker 1: were at, and she said she just picked off where
- 16:15Speaker 1: she'd left off. And she said it was just once again,
- 16:17Speaker 1: like just so healing, but incredible that she could even
- 16:20Speaker 1: remember her days, her family, like the things that were
- 16:23Speaker 1: going on. I was like, Wow, who is this woman?
- 16:26Speaker 1: And I feel like.
- 16:27Speaker 2: Walking away from her healing. Sometimes you can walk away
- 16:30Speaker 2: from certain sessions feeling heavy. I feel like I walked
- 16:33Speaker 2: away feeling really at peace, really light, and really grateful.
- 16:37Speaker 2: So I walked away these beautiful feelings. There was three
- 16:40Speaker 2: dates she gave me. One of them was ectopic pregnancy.
- 16:43Speaker 2: One of them was like a rough patch Curt and
- 16:44Speaker 2: I went through, and then another one's like a really
- 16:46Speaker 2: bad year that I had, so.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Pretty incredible, so incredible.
- 16:49Speaker 2: Yeah, should we talk about the new the new Vitality Center. Wow,
- 16:54Speaker 2: I know this is where we did the cryotherapy and
- 16:56Speaker 2: we also tried this new device. How do I explain it?
- 17:00Speaker 1: But first of all, what place has nearly fifty different
- 17:05Speaker 1: I know, it's insane, so many to choose and there's
- 17:07Speaker 1: literally something for everyone. But yeah, this device thing we've
- 17:12Speaker 1: never heard of, never seen their experience.
- 17:14Speaker 2: It was so cool, ash and I love, like, sometimes
- 17:16Speaker 2: you don't want to get wet, sometimes you want.
- 17:19Speaker 1: To experience the experience. Girl.
- 17:21Speaker 2: Yeah, and doing this float and actually not getting like
- 17:25Speaker 2: wet but having the full experience. Gosh, honestly, it was
- 17:29Speaker 2: so relaxing like that.
- 17:31Speaker 1: Or I've done float tanks and I personally don't love
- 17:34Speaker 1: them because I've got this sounds so princessy, but I've
- 17:37Speaker 1: got really thick hair, and all the salt magnesium dried
- 17:40Speaker 1: up my hair and made it so naughty. For like
- 17:42Speaker 1: a week, I just couldn't get it back to normal.
- 17:44Speaker 1: So I've never gone to one since. So this is
- 17:45Speaker 1: the same type of treatment, yet you're not getting wet,
- 17:49Speaker 1: You're laying in this bed and floating with water. It
- 17:52Speaker 1: was incredible. Oh wow, Oh my goodness, I'm laying down
- 17:57Speaker 1: on a bed and it's like an inflatable mattress, except
- 18:01Speaker 1: I'm sinking into it but floating and it's so warm.
- 18:07Speaker 1: This is heaven.
- 18:09Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, I need one of these.
- 18:12Speaker 6: Wow.
- 18:14Speaker 3: This is really relaxing.
- 18:15Speaker 1: It's like super squishy and soft and just warm.
- 18:23Speaker 6: It's really nice. It's like you're floating out in the ocean. Oh,
- 18:26Speaker 6: I've got some vibration at me, like the water moving around.
- 18:33Speaker 6: It's almost like a little soft message.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, how amazing was Rich? We met a beautiful, beautiful,
- 18:39Speaker 1: very very inspiring man. I feel like when you're here,
- 18:42Speaker 1: you're going to go to a meditation or hear about
- 18:44Speaker 1: some talking about meditation. I don't know why. I'm kind
- 18:46Speaker 1: of a bit bored. Yeah, it's something I've always struggled with.
- 18:49Speaker 1: I've never really been able to implement properly. I go
- 18:53Speaker 1: in and out of it. I've always told myself I'm
- 18:55Speaker 1: really bad at it. And then he just really changed
- 18:57Speaker 1: my whole perspective on it. Since then, I've like meditated
- 19:00Speaker 1: most days.
- 19:01Speaker 2: Yeah me too.
- 19:01Speaker 1: Yeah, so every single day. There's up to eight different activities.
- 19:05Speaker 1: When I saw the meditation on there, I was like, oh,
- 19:07Speaker 1: and it's probably one of my favorite out of all
- 19:08Speaker 1: the activities that we did do me too.
- 19:10Speaker 2: And the way he explained his whole story beforehand, and
- 19:14Speaker 2: how he used to find meditation really hard, which is
- 19:16Speaker 2: so relatable, and it made all those old stories that
- 19:19Speaker 2: we told ourselves kind of go, Well, if he was
- 19:21Speaker 2: someone who struggled that much and he can do this,
- 19:24Speaker 2: I can do it too.
- 19:25Speaker 1: He's got four kids, Okay, we've got that.
- 19:28Speaker 5: So being a parent yourself, I have a very limiting
- 19:31Speaker 5: belief and I make excuses like, oh, I need to
- 19:34Speaker 5: make the lunches, I'll do it later, I'm too busy.
- 19:37Speaker 5: How did you transition from being a parent yourself to
- 19:40Speaker 5: really implementing this meditation twice a day?
- 19:42Speaker 3: Because it sounds like a lot for yeah, all of
- 19:44Speaker 3: us that busy. H I don't know. It is an
- 19:46Speaker 3: excuse again, it's an excuses.
- 19:49Speaker 4: Reality with the world is incredibly consuming, and to carve
- 19:53Speaker 4: out the time to sit down and go it can
- 19:55Speaker 4: seem really selfish too.
- 19:56Speaker 3: Oh my god, like how selfish would need to go
- 19:57Speaker 3: and take that time.
- 19:58Speaker 4: I don't prescribe to the concept of self sacrifice when
- 20:04Speaker 4: a plan is what I say, And I knew I
- 20:10Speaker 4: was just becoming so reactionary. When we're stressed, we get reactionary.
- 20:14Speaker 4: I might be making their lunches or hang out with them,
- 20:16Speaker 4: but I'm not my best version.
- 20:17Speaker 3: Like I've got so much to do. Come on, let's
- 20:19Speaker 3: quickly play so I can then go and deal with
- 20:21Speaker 3: the other stuff.
- 20:22Speaker 2: You said you do two sessions, one in the morning,
- 20:24Speaker 2: one in the afternoon due to the morning before the
- 20:26Speaker 2: kids wake up.
- 20:27Speaker 1: And what time in the r do you do it.
- 20:32Speaker 3: Some people am advising before you get home, pull meditate.
- 20:35Speaker 1: Okay, that's a great.
- 20:38Speaker 3: Yea these Otherwise, if I run through that door or whatever,
- 20:44Speaker 3: and that it can be all on one and just
- 20:45Speaker 3: sit there and meditating that environment, you can do it.
- 20:48Speaker 3: I can then turn a plane tray of bus. But
- 20:50Speaker 3: if I sit in the car on the street, I'm
- 20:52Speaker 3: going to get a deeper level of the rest of
- 20:54Speaker 3: the body.
- 20:54Speaker 5: Sometimes I much stress. Go for a drive, I just
- 20:58Speaker 5: look at the ocean like my car is my It's times.
- 21:01Speaker 3: That's something definitely, and again it can anyway. Somebody will
- 21:06Speaker 3: do it whatever. We're not trying to making it work. Yeah,
- 21:12Speaker 3: And this practice, it's not trying to control or calm
- 21:14Speaker 3: the mind in any way.
- 21:16Speaker 1: I just feel like the way he articulated and explained
- 21:18Speaker 1: it really helped me be like, Okay, this is actually
- 21:21Speaker 1: something I really not only need to but now I
- 21:24Speaker 1: want to implement into my life. And I think we've
- 21:26Speaker 1: being sold this story that you have to sit like
- 21:28Speaker 1: a monk with your you know, your legs crossed and
- 21:30Speaker 1: you can't have any thoughts and your mind is just
- 21:32Speaker 1: so busy. But it doesn't actually have to look like that.
- 21:34Speaker 1: He told us that a morning and in the afternoon,
- 21:37Speaker 1: but the afternoon one really resonated with me, because when
- 21:39Speaker 1: I come home from work, I want to switch out
- 21:41Speaker 1: of my masculine work energy and drop into feminine, soft,
- 21:45Speaker 1: flowy presents. So I'm actually going to leave work a
- 21:47Speaker 1: little bit earlier and do it in the car, and
- 21:49Speaker 1: I can put a meditation on and that'll help me
- 21:51Speaker 1: transition into home life. So that's something I took away
- 21:54Speaker 1: that I'm definitely going to implement, and it feels so
- 21:56Speaker 1: good and exciting for me. I feel like it's going
- 21:58Speaker 1: to be hard.
- 21:59Speaker 2: I always had a story in my head that I
- 22:01Speaker 2: was bad at meditating. Yes, the way that he explained
- 22:04Speaker 2: that it's okay to let your mind wander, I found
- 22:08Speaker 2: that really cool. Because I thought that if my mind
- 22:09Speaker 2: was doing that, that I was doing a bad job
- 22:11Speaker 2: at doing it. Yeahat yeah, So I had this story
- 22:14Speaker 2: that like, I just didn't really put time and effort
- 22:16Speaker 2: into it because I didn't think that I was capable.
- 22:19Speaker 2: But him saying that you can literally sit in your
- 22:20Speaker 2: car and do it, I was like wow, And if it.
- 22:23Speaker 1: Comes in it's like oh. I thought like, yeah, take
- 22:27Speaker 1: my breath and then let it go.
- 22:29Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 22:29Speaker 1: Yeah, really cool.
- 22:31Speaker 2: Something else that Rich said about meditating that really helped
- 22:34Speaker 2: me that I've noticed since I've come back home is
- 22:37Speaker 2: he said, if your mind is wondering as well, that
- 22:39Speaker 2: think when you breathe in through your nose, cold air
- 22:41Speaker 2: in and warm air out. And that's really been helping me.
- 22:45Speaker 1: He did recommend two twenty minute meditations each day. That
- 22:49Speaker 1: transition of work to home has been really really nice me.
- 22:53Speaker 1: And even if it's not twenty minutes, sometimes I might
- 22:55Speaker 1: only have five or ten, but I'll just pull up
- 22:57Speaker 1: near my house, turn the car off, put a meditation in,
- 23:00Speaker 1: close my eyes, and just take some big breaths and
- 23:03Speaker 1: just drop in. It helps me trans form work masculine
- 23:06Speaker 1: to like mum wife feminine. It's really really nice.
- 23:10Speaker 2: So something as well that's so beautiful as when you
- 23:12Speaker 2: go to Eden, it's all so community based, but then
- 23:15Speaker 2: also like when you go to dinner and that if
- 23:17Speaker 2: you're wanting time alone, they've got a space set out
- 23:19Speaker 2: for that as well. But they have a joy team there,
- 23:23Speaker 2: so they're actually the people when you go to all
- 23:25Speaker 2: these sessions throughout the day that you see and you
- 23:27Speaker 2: connect with, and then you walk into lunch and dinner
- 23:30Speaker 2: and they're there as well, and they're having a chat
- 23:32Speaker 2: and talking to you, and it's just so beautiful to
- 23:34Speaker 2: feel so supported in that space.
- 23:36Speaker 1: And they're not only just having a chat but having
- 23:38Speaker 1: a meal with you, so they're almost like a guest
- 23:40Speaker 1: with you. Yeah, they live this lifestyle. They experience this
- 23:43Speaker 1: all the time. And it was really nice to know
- 23:45Speaker 1: how long. I always ask how long staff firms have
- 23:47Speaker 1: been there, but it's always a true reflection of an
- 23:50Speaker 1: organization or a place like this, But most of them
- 23:53Speaker 1: have been there for like five, ten, fifteen, twenty five
- 23:56Speaker 1: plus years and it's like, wow, they really stand by
- 24:00Speaker 1: what even health retreat is all about. They really stand
- 24:03Speaker 1: by all of it and love it and want everyone
- 24:05Speaker 1: to experience that and that's the lifestyle they've chosen to
- 24:08Speaker 1: be a part of now. Like a lot of them
- 24:10Speaker 1: were ex doctors or pe teachers or you know these
- 24:14Speaker 1: crazy busy jobs. Even Rich it was like a massive
- 24:18Speaker 1: hustler with business. And now he's like, no, this is
- 24:20Speaker 1: a kind of life I want to live. And now
- 24:22Speaker 1: I'm going to teach other people how to live this
- 24:24Speaker 1: because it's so beautiful and why can't we live in
- 24:26Speaker 1: this energy more often? So I really loved hearing all
- 24:28Speaker 1: of their personal stories. It made me feel more connected
- 24:30Speaker 1: to them than also made me think, oh, it is
- 24:33Speaker 1: possible to take some of even health to treat home.
- 24:35Speaker 1: And same with a meditation thing, like I hope everyone
- 24:38Speaker 1: gets to experience when they go, they get to experience
- 24:40Speaker 1: Rich is energy and here is knowledge. But that is
- 24:42Speaker 1: something that you guys can do before you transition from
- 24:45Speaker 1: work life to home life. Just stop and spend five
- 24:47Speaker 1: minutes meditating before you get up. He even said he'll
- 24:49Speaker 1: meditate sometimes with his kids around, and they'll go up
- 24:52Speaker 1: and like pull on his cheeks and try and open
- 24:54Speaker 1: his eyes, and he's like, I'm showing my kids that
- 24:56Speaker 1: this is a part of daddy's routine. Daddy is calmer
- 24:58Speaker 1: and happier when he meditates, and now they just all
- 25:00Speaker 1: know and they join in with him. Yeah. So if
- 25:02Speaker 1: you want your kids to become and regulated, how can
- 25:04Speaker 1: they if you're not come and regulated. Show them the way,
- 25:07Speaker 1: lead the way, show them how to do it. And
- 25:09Speaker 1: he's done that so well. This is really inspiring.
- 25:11Speaker 2: Yeah, and even with the Joy team as well, I
- 25:14Speaker 2: feel like there is just such genuine care.
- 25:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 25:17Speaker 2: Like I said, when we first arrived, like everyone knew
- 25:19Speaker 2: your name as soon as you were turning up, and
- 25:21Speaker 2: everyone would just check in on you every day when
- 25:23Speaker 2: you walk past, how is that yesterday? Did you try
- 25:25Speaker 2: that treatment yet? What are you up to later on today?
- 25:28Speaker 2: Like just genuine care. I've never experienced that amount of
- 25:34Speaker 2: like incredible service being somewhere.
- 25:36Speaker 1: Yeah, it's not just a job for them. You can
- 25:38Speaker 1: tell they actually want to be there.
- 25:39Speaker 2: They're invested. They want to genuinely know how you are
- 25:41Speaker 2: and how you're feeling after a treatment.
- 25:43Speaker 1: Or you know, if you go to a shop or something.
- 25:44Speaker 1: It's their job, you know, it's their job. They're getting
- 25:46Speaker 1: paid to be there, that's whatever, but they actually want
- 25:49Speaker 1: to be there. You can feel it, you can see it.
- 25:51Speaker 1: It's really hard, even on the podcast, Like, I hope
- 25:53Speaker 1: you guys have kind of felt like you were there
- 25:55Speaker 1: with us a little bit and experienced it. But when
- 25:57Speaker 1: I was trying to explain this to people, it is
- 25:59Speaker 1: really hard to explain the depth of how amazing it
- 26:03Speaker 1: was and how transformative it was. It honestly was the
- 26:06Speaker 1: reset that I needed, yeap. It broke my sugar addiction.
- 26:09Speaker 1: It gave me clarity for where I want to go
- 26:11Speaker 1: in my next season. I felt so at peace with
- 26:14Speaker 1: my surgery, like it's everything that I needed to clear
- 26:17Speaker 1: and just feel so grounded and connected to myself and
- 26:20Speaker 1: the universe and come out so regulated, Like it really
- 26:23Speaker 1: changed so much for me.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Yeah, and I think too, because when you're there, there's
- 26:27Speaker 2: so many layers at work. You are not only completely
- 26:31Speaker 2: off your phone, not only eating really nutritional meals that
- 26:34Speaker 2: are making you feel amazing, having no caffeine and taking
- 26:38Speaker 2: time and carving time out because you have the time
- 26:40Speaker 2: and space to meditate and do all those things that
- 26:42Speaker 2: you want to do while you're making excuses for so
- 26:45Speaker 2: to have so many elements at work in one place.
- 26:48Speaker 2: Just like we keep saying, our nervous system just felt
- 26:51Speaker 2: incredible while we were there.
- 26:53Speaker 1: If you have one thing to put on your bucket list,
- 26:55Speaker 1: make it Eat in Health a treat like I honestly
- 26:58Speaker 1: would pay quadruple what they charge because it is that
- 27:02Speaker 1: worth it, Like I actually want to go and experience
- 27:04Speaker 1: this with my mum. I'd love to go and experience
- 27:06Speaker 1: it with ste a solo trip. Like, no matter where
- 27:08Speaker 1: you're at in your life, what you're going through, I
- 27:11Speaker 1: can always guarantee this will help you.
- 27:13Speaker 2: So connecting and even as actually said, going with different
- 27:16Speaker 2: people such a great way to work on your connection
- 27:18Speaker 2: in your relationships and then solo connect with yourself.
- 27:21Speaker 1: Yeahs, we have a code if you want to go
- 27:26Speaker 1: and experience Eat in Hell for treat, you can use
- 27:29Speaker 1: the code eat and upgrade.
- 27:31Speaker 2: To upgrade your entire stay.
- 27:33Speaker 1: It is once in a lifetime opportunity. Like honestly, you
- 27:36Speaker 1: will just have the best time.
- 27:38Speaker 2: Make sure you use the link in the show notes
- 27:40Speaker 2: below and also makes a.
- 27:41Speaker 1: Nice easy view And if you have any questions, pop
- 27:43Speaker 1: it in our forum. We're happy to answer. Then we
- 27:45Speaker 1: could honestly talk about it in Hell to Treat all day. Yeah,
- 27:48Speaker 1: so good, I just want to go back to now.
- 27:51Speaker 1: Thanks for listening, guys, We'll see you in the next episode.
