- 0:00Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:03access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing genuine
- 0:07issues. Brought to you by the
- 0:10hypnotherapist, demanded by celebrities, CEOs and even
- 0:14royalty. Adam Cox.
- 0:16These recordings took place live from Adam's clinic in London's
- 0:19world famous Harley Street. This podcast features powerful
- 0:23hypnosis, so do not listen while driving or operating machinery.
- 0:27This recording is not suitable for those with epilepsy or
- 0:30severe mental health issues, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:34enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:41Hi. It's Adam here and in this
- 0:43episode of The Hypnotist, you'll be listening to a hypnosis
- 0:47session created for a client that had feelings of low self
- 0:53worth, a lot of feelings of judgement and in in a dialogue
- 0:59that a lot of people have, which is very, very critical judge
- 1:03mental and very harsh. And the inspiration for this
- 1:08session was a combination of the client that I was working with.
- 1:12But it. Was a book that they were
- 1:13reading and it was from an author called Doctor Ayman
- 1:20Daniel Amon and the book is called Your brain is always
- 1:24listening Tame the Hidden Dragons.
- 1:28And if you've listened to this podcast before, you'll know how
- 1:32much I love metaphors. And I've used Dragons as a
- 1:36metaphor for anxiety before. But what I liked about learning
- 1:41more about this book is that it uses different types of Dragons,
- 1:45about 16 different Dragons, to represent different parts.
- 1:51So whether you look at parts as ego states or internal family
- 1:56systems or just separate resource states, giving them a
- 2:00different label can be quite helpful to working with them.
- 2:04And as I was working with this client, of the 16 Dragons, there
- 2:07were four Dragons that they really resonated with that
- 2:12linked to things like loneliness, judgement, feelings
- 2:17of low self worth. And when you listen to this
- 2:21hypnosis session, you'll hear how there is a form of nested
- 2:26loops and stage disassociation meeting these Dragons.
- 2:31But the Dragons change and partly through sub modalities
- 2:37like color and proximity and brightness, but also through
- 2:42their mannerisms and their posture and their expressions
- 2:45and things like that. So even though we talk about
- 2:48four Dragons in this hypnosis session, in reality.
- 2:51There's 8. There's the Dragons when they
- 2:54meet them and the Dragons that they become once they've been
- 2:57tamed. And I didn't realize that the
- 3:02author that Eamon was talking about taming these Dragons.
- 3:06A lot of people use the metaphor of slaying a dragon, but
- 3:09actually it doesn't make sense to destroy or slay a part,
- 3:14particularly if that part has a positive intention.
- 3:17Much better that you turn an enemy into an ally.
- 3:20So if you can relate to feelings of inferiority or low self
- 3:24esteem or. Loneliness or.
- 3:27Feelings of there's a harsh critic inside of you, then I
- 3:31think you'll benefit from this session.
- 3:33Like most of my sessions, it was created for an individual
- 3:35client, so if you like the idea of working with me directly
- 3:39bespoke to you and your needs, there will be a link in the show
- 3:42notes that you can schedule a free consultation call.
- 3:44For now though, find a quiet, comfortable place where you
- 3:47won't be disturbed. Relax and.
- 3:50Enjoy the session. Take.
- 5:36A deep breath in and as you breathe in, just imagine
- 5:44breathing in a wonderful feeling of calm and.
- 5:50Relaxation. And as you exhale, feel you are
- 5:57releasing any sensations of tension, worries, or stress.
- 6:05Just feel it leaving your body in your outward breath,
- 6:16breathing in a wonderful feeling of resourcefulness, and exhaling
- 6:27whatever is holding you back. I want you to position your body
- 6:38in a way that makes it possible for you to feel two or three
- 6:45times more relaxed than you currently do.
- 6:50Maybe loosen the muscles there in your neck or your shoulders,
- 6:55relax your jaw and position your body in a way where your arms
- 7:02and legs can feel limp, loose and heavy, releasing all
- 7:07tension. Breathing in a wonderful feeling
- 7:13of relaxation and exhaling tension.
- 7:17The deeper you breathe, the more relaxed your body becomes and
- 7:25the more relaxed your body becomes.
- 7:29Feel that your imagination is awakening like a sleeping
- 7:36dragon. Imagine it.
- 7:38Start to awaken. I want you to think of what it
- 7:47would have been like to be perhaps 5 or 6 years old.
- 7:56And I want you to imagine seeing someone reading a story.
- 8:04A fairy tale of Knights and Dragons and castles and
- 8:10kingdoms. Imagine someone reading a story
- 8:16in front of a fireplace and nobody knew you were there.
- 8:23Imagine how you would feel just to walk up, sit down, cross your
- 8:30legs, and aloud your imagination to follow the story as you
- 8:40imagine sitting comfortably by the warm glow of a crackling
- 8:44fire. Imagine the tone of voice of a
- 8:50storyteller weaving a tale. And maybe the story begins with
- 9:00a brave knight, one whose armour reflects the sunlight like a
- 9:07mirror. And this night was setting out
- 9:12on a quest. And this night had been given a
- 9:18task, a noble and daunting challenge to journey into the
- 9:27heart of a mystical land and confront four Dragons, each
- 9:34guarding a part of the Night's Kingdom that had fallen into
- 9:39shadow. But as the storyteller
- 9:44continues, you realize something unusual about this tale.
- 9:54These Dragons cannot be defeated with swords or violence.
- 10:01They are not beasts to slay, but forces to understand, to tame
- 10:10and to transform. And maybe this journey of the
- 10:15night in this magical Kingdom awakens a thought within you
- 10:24that the true victory comes from within through wisdom, courage
- 10:32and compassion. So imagine being there,
- 10:38listening to that story. But sometimes when you get
- 10:45immersed into a good story, you can't help but start to take on
- 10:52the role of the main character. So don't be surprised if you
- 10:59find yourself stepping into the tail as though the firelight has
- 11:06pulled you into its warm embrace.
- 11:11Perhaps you no longer see the knight with his armour that
- 11:14reflects the sun, but feel that you are the knight wearing the
- 11:20armour and it fits you perfectly.
- 11:26The sword in their hand becomes your sword, but feel it's as
- 11:32light as air, a symbol of strength, not a weapon of
- 11:41violence. Feel that you are the knight
- 11:47now, and maybe you're standing at the edge of a vast and
- 11:55enchanting forest, ready to meet the Dragons.
- 12:01But notice the absence of fear. No anxiety, just pure courage.
- 12:09With each step forward, the world around you grows clearer,
- 12:17brighter, and more vivid. Perhaps as you journey deeper,
- 12:32you hear a low growl. Before you stands the first
- 12:41dragon, it's scales dull and cracked, it's eyes filled with
- 12:49sadness. This is the inferior and floored
- 12:56dragon, whispering words of inadequacy in comparison.
- 13:06And maybe it tells you that you are not enough, that others are
- 13:11doing so much better. But you do not raise your sword.
- 13:20Instead, you take a deep breath and step closer.
- 13:29You notice the dragon scales reflect your own image, but it's
- 13:35distorted, like looking into a broken mirror.
- 13:43And maybe with calm bravery and courage, you speak to the dragon
- 13:51and tell the dragon I see you. You are not my enemy.
- 14:00You are my teacher. You have shown me where I need
- 14:07to find my own light. As you reach out, the cracks in
- 14:16the dragon scales begin to glow, the distorted reflection smooths
- 14:23into clarity and start to see yourself as you truly are.
- 14:30Strong, capable, and whole. Not perfect, but more than good
- 14:39enough. The dragon bows see it lower its
- 14:49head towards the ground in a submissive act, letting you know
- 14:58it now works for you rather than controls you, it's growl
- 15:06softening into a purr as the enemy has become your ally.
- 15:16You say goodbye to this dragon, knowing it will be with you when
- 15:19you need it, and further into the forest you hear a hiss and
- 15:27feel a sharp wind. The second dragon appears, tall
- 15:37and stern with piercing eyes. This is the Judge Mental Dragon,
- 15:46it's claws tapping impatiently, pointing out flaws in everything
- 15:52it sees. But you do not flinch.
- 15:58You stand tall and meet its gaze, staring straight into the
- 16:05Dragon's eyes, noticing that it's harsh words echo voices
- 16:13you've heard before, perhaps in your own head.
- 16:19I have spoken about others with compassion, you tell the dragon
- 16:27Judgement. You have protected me in the
- 16:31past, but I no longer need your sharpness.
- 16:38I choose kindness, encouragement, understanding for
- 16:46myself and for others. See the Dragon's Pierce sharp
- 16:58eyes start to soften, turning into kind, kind eyes, and see
- 17:06the best in people, continuing to judge but judging in a
- 17:12positive way, seeing the best in everyone.
- 17:21And as you speak, the Dragon's claws soften into feathers, all
- 17:27of those harsh pointy features melting into gentleness.
- 17:34It nods and steps aside, now a guardian of fairness and
- 17:43positive evaluations rather than harsh criticism, and as you
- 17:51leave, hear the words with a different tone, telling you how
- 17:58brave you are, how strong you are, giving you words of
- 18:03encouragement and pointing out all of your most positive
- 18:09qualities. As you leave that judgmental
- 18:17dragon behind, you continue beyond the forest, now in a dark
- 18:23valley, where you encounter the third dragon, it's form massive
- 18:33yet way down, it's wings folded as though too heavy to fly.
- 18:46This is the hopeless and helpless dragon, whispering of
- 18:51despair and the impossibility of change.
- 18:59Time has been wasted, what's the point?
- 19:04It's not worth trying anything. But you notice something else.
- 19:11A tiny spark of light in its eyes, a faint glimmer of who
- 19:18this dragon was before, a glimmer of hope buried beneath
- 19:25its despair. Imagine kneeling before the
- 19:30dragon and telling the dragon, I see the burden you carry, but I
- 19:39am stronger than you think I am, and together we can and will
- 19:46rise. You place your hand on its great
- 19:51wings and they begin to unfurl. The dragon takes a deep,
- 20:00shuddering breath, and with your encouragement, you remind the
- 20:06dragon of its greatness, its qualities.
- 20:12Remind the dragon. That it can and will be the best
- 20:21it's ever been. So see that dragon rising into
- 20:27the air, perhaps the first time it's flying in years.
- 20:33See, it's soaring upwards. The once heavy wings now carry
- 20:42both of you as you imagine yourself on the back of that
- 20:47elegant elevated dragon, flying through the mystical lands.
- 20:56Imagine flying high above the valley, seeing the Kingdom from
- 21:02high up above, seeing the vast possibilities ahead.
- 21:09This dragon will take you to new heights, to new places, to new
- 21:19possibilities. And just as you reminded the
- 21:23dragon of who it really is, so the dragon will do the same
- 21:29thing for you, giving you that spring in your step, that chin
- 21:34up, that feeling that you can conquer the world.
- 21:42The dragon drops you off beside a still lake, nodding to you
- 21:51before flying off back to its valley.
- 21:55And before long, the last dragon appears.
- 22:01It's form is shadowy and translucent, it's voice a soft,
- 22:08echoing whisper. This is the loneliness and
- 22:14isolation dragon, perhaps reflecting your deepest fears of
- 22:20being disconnected, unseen, unheard, or alone.
- 22:28But you're not afraid of the dragon.
- 22:31None of them. As you step closer, you notice
- 22:35something strange. The Dragon's form changes,
- 22:41mirroring your movements. You realize it's not separate
- 22:47from you, it's a part of you. This dragon, like you, craves
- 22:59connection. It was afraid of loneliness,
- 23:05afraid of rejection, afraid of not being good enough, but only
- 23:11because the connection was desired.
- 23:18Look into the eyes of the dragon and with a steady voice tell the
- 23:22dragon, I choose to reach out, I choose to connect.
- 23:31I will take the risks for love and for connection, first with
- 23:38myself and then with others, acknowledging that nobody can
- 23:46love you more than you love and accept yourself.
- 23:52Loneliness. You no longer have power over
- 23:57me. And notice how quickly the
- 24:01Dragon's shadowy form solidifies into a glowing radiant light.
- 24:13It becomes a bridge across the lake, inviting you to step
- 24:20forward on it's tail, walking across it's back.
- 24:25And as you get to the other end of the lake, you jump off it's
- 24:29nose and turn around. This dragon wasn't trying to
- 24:35keep you alone, it was trying to protect you from emotional pain.
- 24:43And now that you know that, this dragon will be the voice of
- 24:50connection, No longer isolation, nudging you to connect with
- 24:57friends, form new social circles, develop relationships
- 25:06by loving and accepting yourself.
- 25:11This dragon, like the three others, are now allies.
- 25:17The voices in your head will change, becoming more
- 25:23encouraging, supportive. They will build you up rather
- 25:30than knock you down. They will encourage you rather
- 25:36than urging you to hold back. With four Dragons inside your
- 25:43mind, you are unstoppable. On the other side of the lake,
- 25:55you realize that all four Dragons have returned, now tamed
- 26:02and transformed, all smiling, all friendly, all allies
- 26:09standing behind you to support you.
- 26:15They are no longer sources of fear, but symbols of your growth
- 26:21and transformation. The inferior and floor dragon
- 26:27now shines with the truth of your worth, the Judge Mental
- 26:33Dragon carries the wisdom of kindness, the hopeless and
- 26:40helpless dragon reminds you of your power to rise again, giving
- 26:47you resilience, and the loneliness and Isolation dragon
- 26:52glows with the promise of connection and self acceptance.
- 27:00As you say goodbye to your 4 Dragons, you find yourself by
- 27:06the fireplace, hearing the storyteller end the story by
- 27:13saying that the knight returned a hero to the Kingdom, taming
- 27:19the untamable Dragons. You can't help but smile,
- 27:23feeling that just as the night has changed, something inside
- 27:29you has changed too. So hold on to that thought, that
- 27:35feeling. But this wasn't just a story,
- 27:45but a magical spell that creates change.
- 27:50And I wonder if when you return to your inner Kingdom, your
- 27:59reality, take those Dragons back with you, take a deep breath in
- 28:08through your nose and out through your nose.
- 28:13Just wiggle your fingers and. Wiggle your toes.
- 28:16Connect fully into the here and now as I now count from 1:00 to
- 28:2110:00 to awaken you. You will awaken feeling a shift,
- 28:30hearing those voices of positive positive words and feeling a new
- 28:39level of self-confidence and self acceptance.
- 28:43You may even notice a spring in your step, a different energy, a
- 28:48different tempo, a different frequency that will create
- 28:53wonderful self fulfilling prophecies.
- 28:57Starting to count to awaken you 123.
- 29:01Waking up 456. More alert 7-8.
- 29:06Open your eyes, open your eyes. 910.
