- 0:00Speaker 1: And radio.
- 0:03Speaker 2: She's on The Money Radio Show.
- 0:07Speaker 1: With Victoria Divine.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Starts now, Hello and welcome to that.
- 0:11Speaker 3: She's on The Money Radio Show podcast, the radio show
- 0:14Speaker 3: podcast for millennials who want financial freedom. And I'm going
- 0:17Speaker 3: to start this one right now by asking Victoria Devine,
- 0:20Speaker 3: what's the naughtiest thing you did this year?
- 0:21Speaker 2: Oh?
- 0:22Speaker 4: Wow, we're really going that. I don't know, spending too
- 0:27Speaker 4: much on my wedding.
- 0:27Speaker 5: Probably?
- 0:28Speaker 2: Probably.
- 0:31Speaker 1: I had a double cheeseburger the other night about eleven o'clock.
- 0:35Speaker 1: And that.
- 0:37Speaker 5: Is that what we constitute as naughty in my eyes?
- 0:40Speaker 1: Yeah, my doctor would be happy.
- 0:41Speaker 5: Would you like to hear what I did last week?
- 0:43Speaker 4: Then? I have recently found an obsession with bubble tea
- 0:49Speaker 4: and I don't want to be without bubble tea.
- 0:53Speaker 5: I get it from Gong Chart.
- 0:54Speaker 2: Oh my gosh. You know what.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Whenever I see that, I always think, don't you wish
- 0:58Speaker 3: your girlfriend was?
- 1:00Speaker 5: You know what?
- 1:01Speaker 4: Now I'm never going to be able to vote.
- 1:04Speaker 5: Yeah, but I get the QQ passion for green tea with.
- 1:08Speaker 4: Pearls standards, sometimes the minimal sugar, but like the standard pearls.
- 1:13Speaker 5: And it comes with the like lichy coconut bits, which.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Is less, get less ice because then you have more.
- 1:19Speaker 4: I order it with no ice at all because it's
- 1:21Speaker 4: on Uber Eats, and then I just pop it in
- 1:23Speaker 4: my fridge and then I put it in my sippy
- 1:25Speaker 4: cup later.
- 1:26Speaker 5: You're smart, very thanks to you. Thank you.
- 1:28Speaker 4: But do you know how expensive that is to have
- 1:30Speaker 4: a new found obsession with bubble tea when bubble tea
- 1:33Speaker 4: is so expensive anyway?
- 1:36Speaker 5: It's a lot.
- 1:37Speaker 4: So if that's what we're constituting is actually naughty, then
- 1:39Speaker 4: it is my addiction to bubble tea.
- 1:41Speaker 5: Now I actually don't sponsor us.
- 1:42Speaker 2: I love yeah, please do.
- 1:44Speaker 3: I love actually asking kids that because they freak out
- 1:47Speaker 3: and they go, oh my god, concern to hear me.
- 1:49Speaker 1: It is the.
- 1:49Speaker 5: Actual best to saw you.
- 1:51Speaker 4: So if you did it like heruity nose, babe, I
- 1:54Speaker 4: know it's the greatest.
- 1:55Speaker 1: And can I just say, for those who listen this year,
- 1:57Speaker 1: thank you. I know this is victorious community, but DEO
- 2:00Speaker 1: Show's true.
- 2:01Speaker 5: Everybody's yeah. We love everybody, you.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Love love and we love you and it's been such
- 2:06Speaker 1: a fun year, and thank you for listening everyone. This
- 2:08Speaker 1: is the last show in the last podcast for twenty twenty.
- 2:10Speaker 4: Two, and the thing that all not last podcast sorry,
- 2:12Speaker 4: last radio podcasts are working through Christmas.
- 2:16Speaker 3: And it's not you too, mummy, it's not actually I'm
- 2:19Speaker 3: working all of the hours with me, not with you.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Anyway. I love this.
- 2:24Speaker 3: The thing about this podcast top that we do all
- 2:26Speaker 3: the time is I've really tried to think we've all
- 2:29Speaker 3: tried and done a very good job of just going no,
- 2:32Speaker 3: we're not going to do our radio thing. We're just
- 2:33Speaker 3: going to talk about the things that we actually talk
- 2:35Speaker 3: about off air and throw yeah, go chat and this
- 2:39Speaker 3: is basically it.
- 2:40Speaker 2: So it's like a nice little wonder if.
- 2:42Speaker 5: I've been saying that wrong this whole episode.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I think it's right. It's right, gon Cha.
- 2:47Speaker 5: Okay, that that seems pretty self expandage.
- 2:49Speaker 2: I can still hear the pussy Cat Dolls log in
- 2:51Speaker 2: my head.
- 2:52Speaker 4: It's the Gona wish your girlfriend was hot, Gona No no, no, no, no,
- 2:58Speaker 4: Goncha is gonna get me bubuty.
- 3:01Speaker 2: No sto Yes.
- 3:05Speaker 4: Coming in twenty twenty three, she's on the money show tune.
- 3:09Speaker 3: We're gonna be making some cash off that, all right, Hey,
- 3:13Speaker 3: if you want to save some cash.
- 3:14Speaker 2: We actually had some really great tips.
- 3:16Speaker 4: You know, I have so many more tips that I
- 3:18Speaker 4: couldn't get through because we obviously have certain amounts of
- 3:20Speaker 4: time that we have to get through in the breaks.
- 3:22Speaker 4: So definitely check out our socials over the next couple
- 3:26Speaker 4: of weeks because I have so many things when it
- 3:28Speaker 4: comes to saving and especially saving for kids around Christmas. Like,
- 3:32Speaker 4: I was talking to one of my school teacher friends
- 3:34Speaker 4: and she said, this year, she's making her kids a
- 3:37Speaker 4: kitchen setup. So you look confused. I get that. But
- 3:40Speaker 4: she's been saving like cereal boxes and yoga containers and
- 3:45Speaker 4: washing them out and taping them up, so the kids
- 3:47Speaker 4: are getting a little supermarket of their own with like
- 3:50Speaker 4: rice bubbles boxes and like a yogurt container and stuff
- 3:53Speaker 4: so that they can go shopping and play house. How
- 3:56Speaker 4: genius is that because that's what in your house.
- 3:58Speaker 6: Yeah, that's awesome, And you know, gus speaking of it's
- 4:01Speaker 6: my community. Sorry, that's credit speaking of things that you've
- 4:05Speaker 6: already got in your house. We're also talking about, you know,
- 4:07Speaker 6: those toys that you had as a kid, and you're like,
- 4:09Speaker 6: oh my god, these things are actually worth I can
- 4:13Speaker 6: say ship tons here.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Can't done.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Michet around the bush here?
- 4:20Speaker 4: Sorry, guys, and who listen in the car to this
- 4:24Speaker 4: podcast and that is quite rude.
- 4:27Speaker 5: I mean, we'll leave it, but we'll get we'll get
- 4:28Speaker 5: tried to put a bpo.
- 4:31Speaker 3: No, but like that are worth ship tons like tamagotchi'
- 4:34Speaker 3: is a worth three thousand bucks. And also you know
- 4:37Speaker 3: sometimes you go, I'd love to buy some Lego, it's
- 4:39Speaker 3: my obsession or whatever it is, but you know I
- 4:42Speaker 3: probably shouldn't. I should probably put it into stocks or
- 4:45Speaker 3: something like that. No, No Lego, Lego smart Smart.
- 4:51Speaker 4: We're not investing in Lego unless you're buying shares in
- 4:54Speaker 4: Lego one.
- 4:55Speaker 3: Hundred times six hundred percent sorry returns on some Lego sets?
- 5:00Speaker 2: Are you going to get that with your play of shares?
- 5:01Speaker 5: Well about the rest of your Lego.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Trave thought bitcoin with just Lego coins. The poor thing
- 5:07Speaker 1: has been investing in another wrong bit.
- 5:10Speaker 3: I've been investing in those chocolate coins and anyway, I
- 5:12Speaker 3: love those.
- 5:13Speaker 1: Enjoy the show, everyone, last show.
- 5:16Speaker 3: She's on the Money radio show starts right now right
- 5:18Speaker 3: across the country for your Saturday morning. It's She's on
- 5:21Speaker 3: the Money Radio show with Australia's number one finance podcast
- 5:24Speaker 3: in Vogue magazine as well.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Victoria Devine sit over there.
- 5:28Speaker 4: Vogue is very cool. But do you know what I
- 5:30Speaker 4: want to talk about today? What Furby's polypockets.
- 5:33Speaker 1: Furbies is that's that kink right that you're into in
- 5:35Speaker 1: the bedroom with.
- 5:37Speaker 5: This ste I want to talk about the toys.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Oh, the toys. We're talking about this in the songs, guys.
- 5:42Speaker 1: So I was on TikTok and I saw this trend.
- 5:44Speaker 1: People were showing the kids toys because everyone in the
- 5:47Speaker 1: US has been back to their parents' homes for Thanksgiving,
- 5:49Speaker 1: so a lot of people were going through their old wardrobes,
- 5:51Speaker 1: finding their childhood toys and then googling them realize that
- 5:55Speaker 1: they're now worth hundreds, if not thousands of dollars. So
- 5:58Speaker 1: I actually had this experience a couple years ago. I
- 6:01Speaker 1: remember I went home for a couple of weeks. A
- 6:03Speaker 1: house from my apartment was being renovated, and I went
- 6:05Speaker 1: to bed and I'm not joking. In the middle of
- 6:07Speaker 1: the night, I hear and I thought, there's a polter
- 6:12Speaker 1: geist in the room. Nada, just my childhood tickle me
- 6:15Speaker 1: Elmo still powering through the Jurroselle batteries.
- 6:17Speaker 5: How did those batteries last? Like, shouldn't they have leaked acid?
- 6:21Speaker 5: By now?
- 6:22Speaker 1: Nineteen ninety five jurizel Buddy still going anyway. So I
- 6:25Speaker 1: pulled it out and this tickle me Elmo, I googled
- 6:27Speaker 1: it is worth at least four hundred dollars and one.
- 6:29Speaker 5: Hundred bucks through Timielmo. That's four hundred dollars.
- 6:32Speaker 4: Like I will buy them A dupe version of a
- 6:34Speaker 4: tickle totally can that exists.
- 6:36Speaker 5: I make dupes of toys.
- 6:37Speaker 2: It's called Felmo.
- 6:39Speaker 5: Oh yeah, Helmo, It's.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Called mikeel me Melmo. I also did some more research.
- 6:44Speaker 1: I thought, what else is out there that is more
- 6:46Speaker 1: expensive than when you could actually buy And you're right, Ferbies.
- 6:48Speaker 1: So the original Ferby in its box, if you haven't
- 6:50Speaker 1: opened it and you haven't poured milk into its mouth
- 6:53Speaker 1: like I did as a kid, you can get them
- 6:55Speaker 1: for nine hundred dollars is.
- 6:57Speaker 5: A money win.
- 6:58Speaker 4: So way back in the day, when I was in
- 7:00Speaker 4: grade nine, I had a casual job at Target and
- 7:03Speaker 4: I used to work on the returns desk, which obviously
- 7:06Speaker 4: introduced me to a number of colorful people.
- 7:08Speaker 5: But that story aside. We one year had someone return a.
- 7:12Speaker 4: Ferby because there used to be a rule where if
- 7:14Speaker 4: you had the receipt and the item was unopened. You
- 7:17Speaker 4: could return it at any point. There wasn't like thirty
- 7:19Speaker 4: days or ninety days. It was like if you return it.
- 7:22Speaker 4: So she returned it with the receipt. It was unopened
- 7:24Speaker 4: in the box, so we had to accept it.
- 7:26Speaker 5: We gave her.
- 7:27Speaker 4: Full refund and then when we scanned the Ferby that
- 7:30Speaker 4: she returned five cents.
- 7:32Speaker 5: So I bought it.
- 7:33Speaker 4: And so I bought a five cent Ferby and it's
- 7:34Speaker 4: the biggest money win of my entire life.
- 7:36Speaker 1: People around Australia, check your parents' wardrobes. Lastly, Temagotchipendram.
- 7:40Speaker 5: Not doing that, ye'll.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Find you'll find very different toys that will scar you
- 7:44Speaker 1: for life.
- 7:45Speaker 4: You're not gonna find a Ferby my friend, or if
- 7:48Speaker 4: you do, it probably isn't one that's worth nine hundred.
- 7:51Speaker 1: You'll find out that your dad tickles you, Mum, Mike Elmo,
- 7:53Speaker 1: but in a very different way. Tamagotchi, just the original Tamagotchi,
- 7:56Speaker 1: by the way, which was like twelve dollars back in
- 7:58Speaker 1: the nineties. Three grand. Also, of course, the Pokemon cards.
- 8:01Speaker 1: You can get upwards of ten grand for Pokemon cards.
- 8:03Speaker 5: That's what cards made this list.
- 8:05Speaker 1: Yeah, Pokemon cards really, See he's not listening. A mink
- 8:08Speaker 1: condition Charhizad hollow card from the first edition, which would
- 8:11Speaker 1: have been way back in like ninety ninety three, ninety four.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Now five thousand dollars for one card.
- 8:17Speaker 5: See, I didn't see this coming.
- 8:18Speaker 4: Do you remember when beanie kids were a thing and
- 8:20Speaker 4: everybody would go and buy them. I used to beg
- 8:22Speaker 4: my parents for them, and everyone used to say that
- 8:25Speaker 4: they would be worth so much in the future, and
- 8:27Speaker 4: now they're not.
- 8:28Speaker 1: It's my mum had a Princess Diana beanie kid. It
- 8:30Speaker 1: was creepy, if anything.
- 8:31Speaker 3: So I think the moral of the story is check
- 8:33Speaker 3: your toys, check your cupboards, everything when you go to
- 8:35Speaker 3: your parents' house. Speaking of parents, if you're a parent
- 8:38Speaker 3: looking at your kids, going oh my god, how am
- 8:39Speaker 3: I going to entertain you for free?
- 8:42Speaker 2: We've got you covered next.
- 8:43Speaker 5: All right, Mitch, do you're not what parents love the most?
- 8:45Speaker 4: They love unsolicited parenting advice from people who aren't parents yet.
- 8:49Speaker 5: So that's what the three of us are here to
- 8:51Speaker 5: do today.
- 8:51Speaker 4: Yeah, And it is coming up to school holidays and
- 8:54Speaker 4: in my community, lots of people are asking lots of
- 8:57Speaker 4: questions about what to do with their kids on school
- 8:59Speaker 4: holiday days. Given everyone's feeling the pinch a little bit
- 9:02Speaker 4: more when it comes to finances. So today we are
- 9:05Speaker 4: going to talk through a few hot tips that you
- 9:07Speaker 4: could take into consideration when trying to plan what to
- 9:10Speaker 4: do with your grandmlins or children or whatever you actually.
- 9:13Speaker 5: Have it on.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Well, it's also like the most expensive time of you
- 9:15Speaker 1: to travel, Like this is when everyone has time off
- 9:18Speaker 1: to travel. It's just not fair.
- 9:19Speaker 5: It isn't fair. I feel like travel.
- 9:22Speaker 4: It's a privilege, absolutely, but it's also going to be
- 9:24Speaker 4: out of some people's budgets this year.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Well listen, I mean I've got things that will cost
- 9:28Speaker 1: you absolutely nothing. And this is something that I did
- 9:30Speaker 1: last week with my boyfriend. We had our four year
- 9:33Speaker 1: anniversary pause for a plause.
- 9:34Speaker 5: You got a boyfriend, Thank you boyfriend, and you down
- 9:38Speaker 5: for that long. I'm so impressed with.
- 9:44Speaker 1: You.
- 9:44Speaker 5: Are you are batting my friend?
- 9:46Speaker 1: Anyway, So we had a staycation for a four year
- 9:48Speaker 1: anniversary because we thought, pa, no, no, we did go
- 9:51Speaker 1: to a cheap hotel. But what we did was we
- 9:54Speaker 1: went on Groupon and we got a group on coupon
- 9:57Speaker 1: code for this hotel and then we just had room
- 10:00Speaker 1: service and We went for a walk around Sydney and
- 10:03Speaker 1: we just caught the tram. We walked around the CBD.
- 10:05Speaker 1: We did some Black Friday shopping. Costs us next to nothing,
- 10:08Speaker 1: and we didn't have to travel anywhere. It didn't have to
- 10:10Speaker 1: get on a boring train or a boring plane, drive anywhere.
- 10:13Speaker 1: We got one ten minute uber staycation. Do it this Christmas.
- 10:16Speaker 1: It was so cheap. Now here's my last little throwaway.
- 10:19Speaker 1: The budgets are tight. You know, go to your local
- 10:21Speaker 1: museum or an art gallery. Go get cultured people in
- 10:23Speaker 1: your local area. There's so much more around you than
- 10:25Speaker 1: you know that you can do for free. Do a
- 10:27Speaker 1: movie day, set up like a mattress. If you've got
- 10:30Speaker 1: a tent that you normally go camping with, set that
- 10:32Speaker 1: up in the backyard. You know, like just should do
- 10:34Speaker 1: backyard camping.
- 10:35Speaker 4: I like all those ideas, But do you know what
- 10:37Speaker 4: I did. I asked my community what we should be
- 10:39Speaker 4: doing with our kids during school holidays, and guess what,
- 10:42Speaker 4: I have some very hot tips for you guys that
- 10:45Speaker 4: are all free. So first things first, we're going to
- 10:47Speaker 4: get a big cardboard box and we're going to tell
- 10:49Speaker 4: the kids we're putting together a costume box. And then
- 10:52Speaker 4: you're going to go around your house and find items
- 10:55Speaker 4: that could go in the costume box.
- 10:56Speaker 5: So it could be old.
- 10:57Speaker 4: Jewelry that mum has lying around, those big pearl necklaces
- 11:02Speaker 4: two thousand and five that cost five dollars at details.
- 11:06Speaker 4: You could have purses, bags, coats, a sheet because we
- 11:09Speaker 4: all want to dress up as a go. You put
- 11:12Speaker 4: so many things in there and let your kids be creative.
- 11:15Speaker 4: Call your local white goods company. Do you know what
- 11:17Speaker 4: they have? Big boxes? Do you know what you can
- 11:20Speaker 4: do with big boxes? Create cowby houses? Honestly, you could
- 11:24Speaker 4: get a fridge box without buying a fridge, just by
- 11:26Speaker 4: calling someone. And what you can do is cut out
- 11:28Speaker 4: the holes so it's safe for kids and let them
- 11:30Speaker 4: decorate it themselves and.
- 11:32Speaker 5: Have hours of fun. And the other thing I want
- 11:35Speaker 5: you to think about doing.
- 11:36Speaker 4: Just to make it a little bit more magic for
- 11:38Speaker 4: the kids you mentioned before, go to the museum or
- 11:41Speaker 4: the art gallery. Go on Canva, get a free template
- 11:44Speaker 4: for a ticket, make up tickets to that free event
- 11:47Speaker 4: for your kids and give them the tickets one morning
- 11:50Speaker 4: as if it's some big exciting adventure and they've gotten
- 11:54Speaker 4: special tickets or special passes.
- 11:56Speaker 5: They don't need to know. What an exciting idea.
- 11:58Speaker 2: What an amazing group of people, your community.
- 12:01Speaker 5: So creative I never would have thought of.
- 12:02Speaker 3: If any you have any tips you want to share,
- 12:04Speaker 3: you can hit us up anytime. Just so she's on
- 12:07Speaker 3: the money anywhere on socials, or you might have a
- 12:09Speaker 3: money dilemma that you need answered, just like Kylie has done.
- 12:12Speaker 3: She's got a dilemma about a prenup.
- 12:15Speaker 1: This is she's on the Money radio show.
- 12:18Speaker 2: Let's do this.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Yeah, so every week on the show, we bring someone's
- 12:22Speaker 1: financial story on air to get Victoria's advice on what
- 12:25Speaker 1: they should do. We call them out cash mabbies, so
- 12:28Speaker 1: these are able to cash babies that want to get
- 12:30Speaker 1: some advice in Victoria. Kylie send us a DM about
- 12:33Speaker 1: a prenup agreement. So see, I know she's hy ve.
- 12:36Speaker 1: I'm a little bit rattled. My partner approached me recently
- 12:38Speaker 1: with the proposition of a prenuptial agreement. Try to say
- 12:41Speaker 1: that three times we've been together for seven months. Oh
- 12:44Speaker 1: that's early. I believe his parents have encouraged this. This
- 12:48Speaker 1: is juicy. So she says, I'm not wealthy, he comes
- 12:51Speaker 1: from great wealth. The other part of me is offended,
- 12:54Speaker 1: she says, So she understands it, but she is offended.
- 12:56Speaker 1: What should I do? Should she seek legal advice? But
- 12:59Speaker 1: she feels guilty if she were to do that. How
- 13:01Speaker 1: does she speak to the partner about this without turning
- 13:03Speaker 1: into an argument?
- 13:04Speaker 4: Wow, viva Ah, this is such a spicy topic, and
- 13:06Speaker 4: I love talking about it because I actually think pre
- 13:09Speaker 4: nups are really really important, and if his parents have
- 13:12Speaker 4: brought it up with him, it kind of makes sense.
- 13:14Speaker 4: They're trying to protect the wealth that they have created.
- 13:17Speaker 4: And I don't think anyone should be offended in this circumstance.
- 13:20Speaker 4: In fact, I think we need to kind of step
- 13:23Speaker 4: back and go, Wow, that would have been a really
- 13:24Speaker 4: hard topic, or hopefully it should have been a really
- 13:27Speaker 4: hard topic for your partner to bring up with you.
- 13:29Speaker 4: I mean, from my perspective, it's probably a really good
- 13:32Speaker 4: sign that after seven months he's like, I really wanted
- 13:34Speaker 4: to sign a prenup.
- 13:35Speaker 1: Like I kind of like this.
- 13:36Speaker 5: I see her sticking around. This is going to be
- 13:38Speaker 5: a long term thing.
- 13:39Speaker 1: It's a compliment.
- 13:40Speaker 4: Absolutely, it's a compliment. So I wouldn't get offended. I
- 13:43Speaker 4: also don't think seeking legal advice is offensive. At all,
- 13:47Speaker 4: because if they're going to put a contract in front
- 13:49Speaker 4: of you, are you a lawyer? Do you understand how
- 13:50Speaker 4: to read and and respond to that appropriately? No?
- 13:53Speaker 5: Absolutely not.
- 13:54Speaker 4: And if they're putting a pre nup in front of you,
- 13:56Speaker 4: they've already seen a lawyer to put it together, so
- 13:58Speaker 4: it's only fair that you also get to be on
- 14:01Speaker 4: the same page and seek legal advice. I would have
- 14:04Speaker 4: a chat about how that is going to be paid for.
- 14:06Speaker 4: Do you need to pay for that legal advice? Or
- 14:09Speaker 4: if they really want you to sign that, are they
- 14:11Speaker 4: happy to pay for you to get independent legal advice
- 14:13Speaker 4: so you're not worse off having signed that agreement, because
- 14:17Speaker 4: if you sign that agreement and go and pay a
- 14:18Speaker 4: lawyer one thousand dollars to review that, you're a thousand
- 14:21Speaker 4: dollars worse off because of a decision that protects them.
- 14:24Speaker 4: I would be genuinely asking, you know, okay, are you
- 14:27Speaker 4: going to be paying for my legal independent advice so
- 14:30Speaker 4: that I can be in the best possible position and
- 14:32Speaker 4: you can too. So I think that's a little bit
- 14:34Speaker 4: left field, And then I would speak to your partner
- 14:37Speaker 4: really pragmatically about it. So put your relationship aside and
- 14:41Speaker 4: for a hot second, pretend you are negotiating this for
- 14:44Speaker 4: a friend, a friend or maybe your future child that
- 14:47Speaker 4: does have wealth. I can see where they're coming from.
- 14:50Speaker 4: I can see what that means. But I would genuinely
- 14:53Speaker 4: just say, okay, cool, if that's what you want me
- 14:55Speaker 4: to sign, where are the pros?
- 14:56Speaker 5: Where are the cons? Why would I sign this?
- 15:00Speaker 4: We're not trying to take someone for fifty percent of
- 15:02Speaker 4: everything that they're worth, but we are trying to make
- 15:04Speaker 4: sure that it doesn't put you in a compromised position,
- 15:07Speaker 4: and that means looking at it from all angles and
- 15:10Speaker 4: if possible, putting your emotions to the side, which I
- 15:13Speaker 4: know is harder done than said.
- 15:15Speaker 6: Well.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Also, like this works for Kylie scenario. But God, if
- 15:17Speaker 1: your boyfriend your partner has a PS five they don't
- 15:20Speaker 1: want to lose in the breakup, don't sign a goddamn prenup.
- 15:22Speaker 1: You know I give you a multimillionaire leaving in a mcmanson.
- 15:24Speaker 1: Sign the damn prenup, but.
- 15:26Speaker 5: Don't find you cheating on me.
- 15:27Speaker 4: I'm gonna throw your PS five out of a second
- 15:30Speaker 4: story window.
- 15:30Speaker 2: Guarantee you are savage.
- 15:32Speaker 5: You can then keep that in our little.
- 15:34Speaker 3: Divorce guys, let's save some people some money with this.
- 15:38Speaker 1: Simper Saves Saturday. Yes, for the very last time in
- 15:42Speaker 1: twenty twenty two, we're doing a Super Savior Saturday. So
- 15:44Speaker 1: Victoria gives us some sneaky tips on how to keep
- 15:46Speaker 1: more bucks in your bank account. And obviously Christmas is
- 15:49Speaker 1: a very expensive time for a lot of people, so
- 15:52Speaker 1: it's very hard to find a cheap things, a presence
- 15:55Speaker 1: for everyone that doesn't break the bank, and to keep
- 15:57Speaker 1: your buddy, children and your partner's entertained. So the'se got
- 16:00Speaker 1: a long list. She looks like Santa Claus. She's been
- 16:02Speaker 1: making a list, she's been checking.
- 16:05Speaker 5: She grew a beard. That's my hormones. Can we not
- 16:07Speaker 5: talk about that on air?
- 16:08Speaker 1: Sorry? Sorry, sorry, don't tell her?
- 16:10Speaker 5: Heuck?
- 16:11Speaker 1: All right, what's in your list?
- 16:13Speaker 5: Number one?
- 16:14Speaker 4: I found this tip and I thought it was really
- 16:16Speaker 4: helpful because coming up to the festive season, we are
- 16:19Speaker 4: all run off our feet.
- 16:20Speaker 5: And that is this is not sponsored. As we've said before,
- 16:23Speaker 5: We're just not big enough to have a sponsor of this.
- 16:25Speaker 5: None of these sponsored.
- 16:26Speaker 4: This is just me finding stuff on the internet and going,
- 16:28Speaker 4: you know what, I'll share that with my fan. So
- 16:30Speaker 4: Woolli's actually now has free delivery on groceries when you
- 16:33Speaker 4: spend a minimum of fifty bucks. And I can't remember
- 16:36Speaker 4: the last time I went to the supermarket during the
- 16:38Speaker 4: festive season and spent less than fifty bucks. So you
- 16:41Speaker 4: could organize it all so that on Christmas Day or
- 16:44Speaker 4: just before Christmas Day, all your groceries delivered to your
- 16:47Speaker 4: house so you don't need to do that big Christmas
- 16:50Speaker 4: shop for free.
- 16:51Speaker 5: That's a money than.
- 16:52Speaker 4: The second is talk to your family now about having
- 16:56Speaker 4: a Christmas where you implement a rule, where the rule
- 16:59Speaker 4: is the gifts have to be homemade, handmade, or second hand.
- 17:04Speaker 4: So it means that they either have to find a
- 17:07Speaker 4: handmade gift, which is harder to find and therefore requires
- 17:10Speaker 4: a bit more thought second hand, or they have to
- 17:13Speaker 4: make it themselves. And I feel like that's really wholesome.
- 17:17Speaker 4: Sets expectations so that you know, Mitch isn't going out
- 17:21Speaker 4: and buying me a brand new PS five and I
- 17:23Speaker 4: made a card. But also I just think that you
- 17:26Speaker 4: get better gifts. So last year I made a whole
- 17:29Speaker 4: heap of handmade shortbread. People love bread, people do it
- 17:33Speaker 4: so good. Christmas crack is another one that I am
- 17:36Speaker 4: going to be sharing on our social media.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Very Christmas crack.
- 17:39Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, Christmas crack is the best thing. Kids
- 17:42Speaker 4: love it. I love it. It's basically Salada's hear me
- 17:45Speaker 4: out a really thick, great caramel sauce with melted chocolate
- 17:49Speaker 4: on top. You break it all up, wrap it up
- 17:51Speaker 4: and give it as gifts and I promise everyone will be.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Asking corner and you don't chew it. But anyway, that's
- 17:59Speaker 1: I love a good Well, my tip V is not
- 18:02Speaker 1: as wholesome, but this is actually something that everyone can
- 18:04Speaker 1: relate to. Who set up their Christmas tree, Victoria? Is
- 18:07Speaker 1: your tree erected? No?
- 18:08Speaker 4: I don't even have a tree at this point in time,
- 18:10Speaker 4: But do you know what to all the people who
- 18:12Speaker 4: set up their Christmas trees before December?
- 18:15Speaker 5: What are you doing?
- 18:16Speaker 1: Yeah? I know what psychotic behavior?
- 18:17Speaker 4: You are setting the expectations too high? And also where
- 18:20Speaker 4: are you finding this time?
- 18:21Speaker 1: I completely agree. Well, my one hack and my tip
- 18:23Speaker 1: is the biggest pain of the festive season is finally
- 18:27Speaker 1: turning on your Christmas tree lights and then having to
- 18:30Speaker 1: put your arm around the back of the tree like
- 18:32Speaker 1: you twine them up around the tree and the plug
- 18:34Speaker 1: is always behind the tree and then you've got to
- 18:36Speaker 1: go behind and a lean in and your arm gets
- 18:38Speaker 1: pricked by the prickles. Anyway, my hack.
- 18:40Speaker 5: Is nineteen dollars every single year.
- 18:42Speaker 1: Okay, we'll get a smart wall outlet plug from Amazon.
- 18:45Speaker 1: A pack of two is nineteen dollars. You plug it in,
- 18:48Speaker 1: then you plug your plug in, you connect that to
- 18:50Speaker 1: Wi Fi and then you can control it from your
- 18:52Speaker 1: phone or if you've got smart speaker integration in.
- 18:55Speaker 4: My house, my Christmas tree on with a remote, No
- 18:58Speaker 4: with your voice v Hey, sirihself. I've got so many
- 19:04Speaker 4: ideas throughout my entire house. We will talk about this later.
- 19:07Speaker 1: Listen. That's us done, isn't it right?
- 19:09Speaker 5: Wrap it up. We are off to be festive.
- 19:12Speaker 3: Thank you so much everybody for listening. We will be
- 19:15Speaker 3: back in twenty twenty three. We're going to take a
- 19:17Speaker 3: little bit of a short break now over Christmas. Until then,
- 19:20Speaker 3: you can catch up with us anytime on socials just
- 19:23Speaker 3: really that's where I lift. She's on the money. Make
- 19:26Speaker 3: sure you stick around there. Make sure you're going to
- 19:27Speaker 3: do the Life on Carts show next right.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Yes, I'll be around guys, and I love you both.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Thank you for a great year.
- 19:32Speaker 5: And Christmas friends.
- 19:33Speaker 1: See you guys in the year.
- 19:35Speaker 5: Bye bye,
