- Jessica Figueroa: Good morning everyone. Welcome to the Just For Today podcast. My name is Cindy Marlar. I am so happy that you spend your two minutes with me every day to grow together. That really brings me joy. These are all things I've done myself for many, many years. And I'm just wanting to give back and share with you guys what other people have poured into me over the years to help me become who I am today. So what are we doing just for today? Well, today we are going to avoid The scarcity mindset. What is the scarcity mindset? The scarcity mindset could be a lot of things. It could be thinking I'm never gonna have enough, I'm never gonna be enough, I'm never gonna do enough, I'm never going to have enough friends, I'm never going to get that house I want, I'm never gonna be able to afford to take the kids to that place I've wanted to take, I'm never gonna be able to pay for their extra curriculums. We are gonna not tell ourselves that today because the reality is we don't know if that's true or not. But what is true is if we tell ourselves that enough, then it's gonna happen. So today we are avoiding the scarcity mindset. We live in a very abundant country. Not everyone has that opportunity. We do. So living in a scarcity mindset where we're at is a very limiting thought process. So today we're gonna act as if there's always enough money, as if, of course, we're going to get that house one day, as if, of course, Our children are gonna graduate high school and be successful adults. Why wouldn't they? Okay. Today we're gonna avoid the scarcity mindset, meaning this mindset that we think there's not gonna be enough. We're not gonna have enough. Our kids aren't going to be enough. They're not gonna have enough. We're just gonna avoid it. If you want to think about it, think about it tomorrow. But today, we're not gonna think about that stuff. We're just gonna get through our day, not ever telling ourselves we're not gonna be able to do it. We can do this right, guys? 'Cause it's just for today.
