- 0:05Speaker 1: Apoday production.
- 0:10Speaker 2: We begin today by acknowledging the traditional custodians of the
- 0:13Speaker 2: land on which we gather today and pay our respects
- 0:16Speaker 2: to their elders past and present. We extend that respect
- 0:19Speaker 2: to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people's here today. Welcome
- 0:25Speaker 2: to the Grow and Glow Podcast. I'm Ashy, I'm Kiara.
- 0:28Speaker 2: This is a podcast where we learn, laugh, and level
- 0:31Speaker 2: up together.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Let's go deep, let the emotions flow, and find the
- 0:34Speaker 1: lessons to grow and glow. Nothing is off the table
- 0:37Speaker 1: with Grow and Glow and we're here to be your expander.
- 0:44Speaker 3: Welcome back to grow Alue.
- 0:47Speaker 1: We're right on the topics of feminine energy at the
- 0:50Speaker 1: moment because it's just kind of what we're going through,
- 0:51Speaker 1: what we're experiencing.
- 0:52Speaker 2: I love how we do this though, Like when we're
- 0:54Speaker 2: focusing on something and learning about it, we tend to
- 0:57Speaker 2: both go hard on it, read books about it, do
- 0:59Speaker 2: all the things, and then it's great that we can
- 1:01Speaker 2: really expand on it.
- 1:02Speaker 1: And that's why this is just like USO is literally
- 1:06Speaker 1: us authentically talking about our lives, experiences, ups and downs
- 1:09Speaker 1: and things are learning along the way to help us
- 1:11Speaker 1: grow and glow. Yeah, so, yeah, you've been learning all
- 1:15Speaker 1: about the three different types of feminine.
- 1:18Speaker 2: The three types of feminine women.
- 1:20Speaker 3: Feminine women.
- 1:22Speaker 1: And it's interesting because I was saying this morning, we're
- 1:23Speaker 1: talking about it, I've only ever learned about the wounded
- 1:25Speaker 1: feminine and the empowered feminine because you've got a different
- 1:30Speaker 1: way to break it down, which is really cool.
- 1:31Speaker 2: I've only ever heard of this once, and it was
- 1:34Speaker 2: in a book that I read. I can't remember which
- 1:37Speaker 2: one it is. I think I've read about six books
- 1:38Speaker 2: since coming back from me on feminine energy because I've
- 1:41Speaker 2: just really found it fascinating. But I found this so
- 1:44Speaker 2: interesting and I think we will all relate to We
- 1:47Speaker 2: will at least one type of these feminine women in
- 1:50Speaker 2: our lifetime. And the cool thing about the three types
- 1:54Speaker 2: of feminine women is we can even flow out of them.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Most cases, you will start off as the helpless woman,
- 2:01Speaker 2: and then you know, you might transition into the protective
- 2:04Speaker 2: women because of a certain situation, and then, I mean,
- 2:06Speaker 2: we're all aiming to be the goddess. But I'll break
- 2:10Speaker 2: them all down and kind of explain them all. So basically,
- 2:15Speaker 2: the helpless woman is a woman who is not in
- 2:19Speaker 2: her masculine at all. So I think that it's important
- 2:23Speaker 2: for us to remember as well being a feminine woman
- 2:26Speaker 2: and embodying goddess energy, we need to still be able
- 2:30Speaker 2: to tap into our masculine as healthy from time to time,
- 2:33Speaker 2: because it's healthy. We're setting boundaries for you know, having
- 2:36Speaker 2: we had to get things done one hundred percent. So
- 2:39Speaker 2: when we are completely left field and we are completely
- 2:41Speaker 2: in our feminine that's not necessarily healthy.
- 2:44Speaker 1: So we humanize a masculine energy, there's not really healthy balance.
- 2:48Speaker 3: We have to embody both.
- 2:49Speaker 1: It is the same with someone that's in their masculine
- 2:51Speaker 1: they call like a husband's masculinity feels more natural to them,
- 2:55Speaker 1: but it's really important they have a healthy relationship with
- 2:57Speaker 1: their feminine energy as well.
- 2:59Speaker 2: Uh huh. So the helpless woman is actually the most
- 3:02Speaker 2: wounded type of women feminine traits.
- 3:06Speaker 1: She's very reactive, she's very victim mentality, she's very jealous
- 3:12Speaker 1: and envious.
- 3:14Speaker 3: She is also quite.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Controlling because she doesn't trust and feel safe. When you're
- 3:18Speaker 1: very controlling, you're not surrendering and just trusting in other
- 3:21Speaker 1: people or situations. It makes you feel safe to have
- 3:23Speaker 1: full control of everything. But that feels very rigid and
- 3:25Speaker 1: stiff and that doesn't feel good.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Yes, so you'll notice as well, like with the wounded feminine,
- 3:32Speaker 2: some of these traits will more so be the protective woman,
- 3:35Speaker 2: and then some of these traits will also be towards
- 3:38Speaker 2: the helpless, so it kind of just separates them into categories.
- 3:42Speaker 2: So the helpless woman is more so like someone with
- 3:45Speaker 2: really really low self esteem that constantly needs reassurance, struggles
- 3:50Speaker 2: with codependency, really lacking of self love and self worth,
- 3:54Speaker 2: and they seek a lot of outside external validation as well. Yeah,
- 3:58Speaker 2: they seek a lot of outside external validation and just
- 4:02Speaker 2: don't really have any purpose.
- 4:04Speaker 1: They can be quite manipulative and people pleasing as well.
- 4:08Speaker 2: No boundaries, yeah, yeah, huge lack of boundaries. Yeah, super
- 4:11Speaker 2: out of touch with their masculine energy and cannot provide
- 4:14Speaker 2: for themselves at all. So they're really reliant on others
- 4:18Speaker 2: to provide for them or pretty much just do everything
- 4:21Speaker 2: for them as much as they can. Yeah, with a
- 4:23Speaker 2: helpless woman. A lot of the time, this is a
- 4:27Speaker 2: phase that people go through when they're kind of younger.
- 4:29Speaker 2: They'll go through this phase where you know, they really
- 4:31Speaker 2: relying on other people before they get to know themselves,
- 4:33Speaker 2: before they trust themselves before they know their worth, before
- 4:36Speaker 2: they know how to set boundaries. And I can definitely
- 4:38Speaker 2: reflect back on my life and see when I've been
- 4:39Speaker 2: a helpless moman and for sure, and I was even
- 4:42Speaker 2: saying to actually, some women will actually stay stuck in
- 4:45Speaker 2: this wounded feminine energy forever because it feels safest, It
- 4:50Speaker 2: feel safest for them, and that's what they're used to,
- 4:51Speaker 2: and they've gotten away with a life of that, and
- 4:53Speaker 2: maybe they haven't had situations happen in a way that's
- 4:56Speaker 2: like shifted this at all. Yeah, so some people might
- 4:59Speaker 2: literally be sixty and still be in this wounded mentality.
- 5:02Speaker 2: And I think if we all have a think about it,
- 5:04Speaker 2: we can probably reflect in our life and see someone
- 5:06Speaker 2: who's in this space potentially right now. And then after
- 5:10Speaker 2: that we've got the provider woman. The provider woman I
- 5:14Speaker 2: keep calling the protective because I feel like, yes, it's
- 5:17Speaker 2: that same sort of vibe.
- 5:18Speaker 1: I relate to this one a lot. This is where
- 5:20Speaker 1: I think I've been sitting at mainly.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Yeah, so usually what can happen. We tend to start
- 5:25Speaker 2: off as the helpless woman, and then this situation will
- 5:28Speaker 2: occur in our life and it will make us go
- 5:31Speaker 2: fuck this shit. I ain't relying on no one. I
- 5:35Speaker 2: don't need help. I can support myself going back. I
- 5:38Speaker 2: can do it all. That person's let me down. I've
- 5:40Speaker 2: been really hurt or this has happened in my life,
- 5:43Speaker 2: and I am not going to let my walls down.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Up comes the masculine shield and masculine mask to protect yourself.
- 5:50Speaker 2: One hundred percent, and it's all out of safety because
- 5:52Speaker 2: you've become so hurt. They feel like, I don't want
- 5:54Speaker 2: to feel this pain anymore, so I'm going to do
- 5:56Speaker 2: it all myself.
- 5:57Speaker 1: I have to protect myself so you can't hurt me.
- 5:59Speaker 1: No one can hurt me anymore.
- 6:00Speaker 3: I've got this, that's it.
- 6:01Speaker 2: So they hustle, They work to the absolute.
- 6:05Speaker 3: They have to prove themselves, have.
- 6:06Speaker 2: To prove themselves. They won't let other people help. They
- 6:10Speaker 2: feel like they need to do everything themselves. They feel
- 6:13Speaker 2: like if they rely on other people that they're probably
- 6:15Speaker 2: going to get let down. So they're like, no, I'll.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Just do it, which is also very much wounded as well.
- 6:19Speaker 1: They kind of blend a little bit in because the
- 6:20Speaker 1: wounded feminine doesn't trust to receive yes, and it embodied
- 6:25Speaker 1: goddess feminine is all about receiving kind of drops you
- 6:29Speaker 1: back into wounded a little bit as well.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Yeah, so also with the provider woman, she is more
- 6:33Speaker 2: in has too much masculine, so the helpless woman's not
- 6:36Speaker 2: embodying that enough, and then the provided woman has too
- 6:40Speaker 2: much of this, so they're really living out of their heads.
- 6:42Speaker 2: They're not listening to their body, they're not tuning in
- 6:45Speaker 2: us and themselves that they want. Honestly, it's completely protecting themselves,
- 6:48Speaker 2: and you can have so much compassion for that, you know,
- 6:51Speaker 2: for all of them.
- 6:52Speaker 1: I think all of us listening, I reckon majority of
- 6:54Speaker 1: us have been this one point in our lives. It's
- 6:57Speaker 1: definitely where I've been for a long time, and I
- 6:59Speaker 1: think I've had moments of like both ends of the scale,
- 7:03Speaker 1: but I think this has been the main one for
- 7:05Speaker 1: a lot of us in this society.
- 7:08Speaker 2: And me too, Like I can definitely see so many
- 7:10Speaker 2: moments in my life where I have been the provider woman.
- 7:14Speaker 1: And you know what, a lot of us too, If
- 7:16Speaker 1: we have not grown up with healthy masculines, you'll be
- 7:18Speaker 1: more so in this because from a young age you've
- 7:20Speaker 1: had to protect yourself and have that masculine shield and
- 7:23Speaker 1: mask to protect yourself, get shit done, like make sure
- 7:25Speaker 1: that you're okay. Like us, not having that in our fathers,
- 7:29Speaker 1: it's really impacted that. Yeah, and then having a partner
- 7:32Speaker 1: that's allowed us to soften and feel safe, we can
- 7:35Speaker 1: step more into the feeling in the goddess feminine essence
- 7:38Speaker 1: more safely.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Yeah, it feels.
- 7:40Speaker 1: More exciting and nice that you don't have that can
- 7:43Speaker 1: be harder to move in there too.
- 7:44Speaker 2: And with the provider woman, this tends to be something
- 7:48Speaker 2: as well, So the helpless woman. I know, I said before,
- 7:50Speaker 2: someone can be a helpless woman and they can stay
- 7:52Speaker 2: out their whole life. They can never change. And if
- 7:54Speaker 2: somebody's going to kind of be stuck in their ways,
- 7:56Speaker 2: I feel like it's going to be the helpless woman.
- 7:58Speaker 2: Whereas a provided woman, it can only last for so long.
- 8:02Speaker 2: It still might go on for fifteen years, it might
- 8:04Speaker 2: go on for twenty years, they get to a point
- 8:06Speaker 2: where they're like, holy fuck, I'm exhausted and I'm burnt out.
- 8:09Speaker 2: So a lot of the time, the provided woman isn't
- 8:11Speaker 2: something where you will see someone go through their whole life.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Could happen not usually regularly. Normally people just go like
- 8:17Speaker 2: this isn't serving me, or if you.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Can see someone that's been in there for twenty thirty
- 8:21Speaker 1: forty years that also be extremely exhausted, unhappy, probably a
- 8:26Speaker 1: little bit resentful, like they're not living.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Their best life one hundred and ten percent. Also it
- 8:33Speaker 2: can serve her very well in her career. So it's
- 8:36Speaker 2: actually like this is what it was saying in the
- 8:37Speaker 2: book too. It's actually not a bad necessarily place to
- 8:40Speaker 2: be in for a period of your life. To have
- 8:42Speaker 2: ten years of your life or five years of your
- 8:44Speaker 2: life when you're in this you know zone. It's not
- 8:47Speaker 2: the healthiest and obviously you're not as in touch with
- 8:49Speaker 2: yourself and it's protective mechanisms, but it can actually really
- 8:51Speaker 2: set you up for the future to a t.
- 8:54Speaker 1: If I was not in the energy, I wouldn't be
- 8:56Speaker 1: able to just like yeah, close down my business and
- 8:59Speaker 1: step back a little bit, but still have an income
- 9:01Speaker 1: and still be able to do things I want to do.
- 9:03Speaker 1: That's why there's no shame around. Don't listen to this
- 9:06Speaker 1: and be like, oh my god, I've been living in
- 9:08Speaker 1: the providing woman.
- 9:08Speaker 3: For so long, like that's bad. It's like, no, it's
- 9:10Speaker 3: actually served you. But let's take a look at how
- 9:12Speaker 3: you can step more into your God.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Yess absolutely not an even the helpless woman Like I
- 9:18Speaker 2: look at that, and I've definitely been that person as well.
- 9:22Speaker 2: Like I can see early on in my relationship with Kurt,
- 9:24Speaker 2: this is before having kids, I was definitely the helpless woman.
- 9:28Speaker 2: I was so reliant on him. Our relationship was everything
- 9:31Speaker 2: to me. I lost a lot of friends because I
- 9:33Speaker 2: just spent so much time with him and I needed
- 9:35Speaker 2: him and it was really like a you know, a
- 9:37Speaker 2: codependent type of relationship. So no shame even if that's
- 9:41Speaker 2: where you are right now. But how cool that in
- 9:43Speaker 2: this episode you can reflect and be like, oh, okay,
- 9:45Speaker 2: maybe that's a bit unhealthy or you know. And for him,
- 9:48Speaker 2: the reason why, Like looking back now, I can see
- 9:50Speaker 2: that he was one of the first really safe masculines
- 9:53Speaker 2: I had in my life where I was like, wow,
- 9:55Speaker 2: this is what it feels take care of one hundred percent.
- 9:58Speaker 2: So then I kind of just let go of everything
- 9:59Speaker 2: and I was like, okay, now you can just keep
- 10:00Speaker 2: me safe. Yes, So I dropped everything, you know. Yeah,
- 10:04Speaker 2: it's no shame at all. Like we always say, like
- 10:06Speaker 2: we are not perfect, We've we've been through these as well.
- 10:10Speaker 1: I think all of us relate to all of these. Yeah, definitely,
- 10:13Speaker 1: But where we want to get to is the goddamn
- 10:16Speaker 1: let's get into.
- 10:16Speaker 3: A feminine goddess.
- 10:18Speaker 2: So this woman is fully in her feminine energy. She
- 10:22Speaker 2: is flowy, open to receiving. She's magnetic, I love that word, fun, playful, sensual, sexual, sexual,
- 10:32Speaker 2: and just enjoys her life, lives her life to the fullest.
- 10:35Speaker 2: She's not so far in her masculine that she's not
- 10:38Speaker 2: in touch with herself, but she's also not so far
- 10:40Speaker 2: in her feminine that she's codependent on anyone. She has
- 10:44Speaker 2: solid boundaries, but she's still so in tune with herself
- 10:48Speaker 2: and flowy and kind hearted.
- 10:50Speaker 1: And soft in the same energy she embodies it all.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Maybe when she's setting boundaries, the way that she sets
- 10:58Speaker 1: it will be with such love and softness that like
- 11:00Speaker 1: it's just respected and received so well.
- 11:02Speaker 2: Exactly right. Yeah, So she still has and uses her
- 11:06Speaker 2: masculine energy, but in healthy doses. So she would do it,
- 11:09Speaker 2: say when she's at work or when she's with her kids,
- 11:11Speaker 2: but she takes that hat off more regularly than she
- 11:15Speaker 2: would have it on.
- 11:16Speaker 3: So beautiful.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Yeah, and with her sensual energy and sexual energy she's
- 11:22Speaker 1: so in touch with all of that, and she has
- 11:24Speaker 1: no shame around any of that, I know, and you
- 11:26Speaker 1: can feel that. I feel like when you meet someone
- 11:28Speaker 1: that's embodying all their sexuality and the sensuality, like it's
- 11:31Speaker 1: so attractive.
- 11:32Speaker 3: It's so confident and beautiful.
- 11:34Speaker 2: Yeah. And something else really interesting, which we spoke about
- 11:37Speaker 2: in our other episode on feminine energy that it's set
- 11:39Speaker 2: in this book that the Goddess does, is she does
- 11:42Speaker 2: aligned work. She does work that aligns with her feminine energy.
- 11:47Speaker 2: So when she goes to work, sure she might have
- 11:48Speaker 2: small parts of her day where she needs to be
- 11:50Speaker 2: in that masculine l but she can embody most of
- 11:53Speaker 2: her day when she's working being in that feminine energy.
- 11:57Speaker 1: And a lot of her work I would find is
- 11:59Speaker 1: either creative or it's community based, it's connection, it's quite nurturing.
- 12:03Speaker 1: It would feel more in those energy definitely.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Yeah. And you know, like we've also said before, you
- 12:08Speaker 2: can bring these energies.
- 12:10Speaker 1: In the way you go, whatever your job is, you
- 12:12Speaker 1: can bring them in.
- 12:12Speaker 2: Being feminine is inside you. It's not what you are doing.
- 12:15Speaker 2: It's actually the complete opposite.
- 12:16Speaker 3: Yes, Yeah, she.
- 12:19Speaker 2: Listens to her intuition and she follows it. So, yeah,
- 12:22Speaker 2: I mean, this is definitely the road. That's what I
- 12:24Speaker 2: said to actually this morning, Breck, you were like chatting
- 12:25Speaker 2: about this, and I was like, this is our road.
- 12:27Speaker 2: We want to be that goddess. But it's also really
- 12:30Speaker 2: cool to just kind of reflect and see the different
- 12:32Speaker 2: challenges you have to go through to get there. You
- 12:35Speaker 2: don't just wake up a goddess. No, you have to
- 12:37Speaker 2: do the inner work. You have to challenge yourself, you
- 12:39Speaker 2: have to push yourself.
- 12:40Speaker 3: And you have to especially your unlearning ways of being.
- 12:43Speaker 2: Yeah, you have to connect with yourself. You have to
- 12:46Speaker 2: undo all those layers, those old stories, those old beliefs,
- 12:49Speaker 2: let all those shields down, and it's really confronting, I think,
- 12:54Speaker 2: to actually trust and be.
- 12:57Speaker 3: Open to trust.
- 12:58Speaker 1: When you bring that masculine shield down, you are vulnerable.
- 13:01Speaker 1: You're opening yourself up to potentially be hurt again and
- 13:05Speaker 1: feel safe. But that's a huge step that you have
- 13:07Speaker 1: to take, and she fully does trust. Another couple of
- 13:11Speaker 1: traits that I really love with the empowered or like
- 13:13Speaker 1: the goddess feminine is that she's not easily triggered and
- 13:16Speaker 1: she never takes anything personally. Is because she's so grounded
- 13:18Speaker 1: and who she is. She knows her mission, she knows
- 13:21Speaker 1: her path, and she fully trusts everything. She can just
- 13:24Speaker 1: see things for how they are and have compassion and
- 13:26Speaker 1: love towards whatever might be projected onto her. Like when
- 13:30Speaker 1: you're in that energy, nothing can touch you, nothing can
- 13:33Speaker 1: rattle you.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Reminds me of that chat we used to say, like
- 13:36Speaker 2: back a year ago, we had this podcast about becoming unscheckedhah.
- 13:39Speaker 1: And that's it is, it is, that's the goal. Another
- 13:44Speaker 1: thing too, she's also very balanced and fair. Like you said,
- 13:47Speaker 1: she's got her strong boundaries. I feel like it's a
- 13:49Speaker 1: little bit leading to the masculine. You can also lead
- 13:52Speaker 1: and hear everyone's point of view, but she's fair and
- 13:55Speaker 1: the way that she runs that So if that's in
- 13:57Speaker 1: your workplace as well, I feel like that's where you
- 13:59Speaker 1: can balance at your masculine and feminine really well. Which
- 14:01Speaker 1: is the embodied feminine or the goddess feminine.
- 14:05Speaker 3: It's so fair.
- 14:05Speaker 1: She hears everything, but she also knows where she needs
- 14:08Speaker 1: to go and what needs to be done. Yes, but
- 14:10Speaker 1: she can do it as a beautiful collective, bringing that
- 14:12Speaker 1: connective energy into.
- 14:14Speaker 2: Her and she knows because she's listening to her gut.
- 14:16Speaker 2: She's not thinking, oh, this is what I have to
- 14:18Speaker 2: do in her head, and that's why it's such a
- 14:19Speaker 2: beautiful energy.
- 14:20Speaker 1: She's listening to her gut and her heart, but she's
- 14:22Speaker 1: also really present and connected to her tribe or her
- 14:26Speaker 1: village to hear what they're saying and bring it all
- 14:28Speaker 1: together as a collective to make the right decision.
- 14:31Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a good balance of both.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Yeah. A book that I bought off Amazon, and it's
- 14:36Speaker 1: actually a series, so Kiara has actually read these as well.
- 14:38Speaker 3: When I pulled out, she's like, I've read those.
- 14:40Speaker 1: It's quite a small book, but it's Healing the Feminine
- 14:43Speaker 1: Energy by Remuss, which is r ee m Us, and
- 14:47Speaker 1: it's healing the feminine energy and the wounds of your
- 14:50Speaker 1: inner child.
- 14:50Speaker 3: So this is the first one.
- 14:51Speaker 1: It is very short, and I've only read two chapters.
- 14:54Speaker 1: I'm going to try and finish it this weekend. Actually,
- 14:57Speaker 1: I feel like it's a really good starting point because
- 14:59Speaker 1: it talks about all of the traits that we've just
- 15:01Speaker 1: spoken about, the wounded feminine and the embodied feminine and
- 15:05Speaker 1: breaks it all down and a really easy way to understand.
- 15:09Speaker 1: So yeah, I'm onlying you into this book. But I
- 15:12Speaker 1: think it's a really good place to start if you
