- 0:01SPEAKER_01: Welcome, welcome, welcome, my gorgeous listeners.
- 0:05SPEAKER_01: How the bloody hell are you?
- 0:07SPEAKER_01: I was about to say, fuck are you?
- 0:08SPEAKER_01: That's rude, isn't it?
- 0:10SPEAKER_01: How are we?
- 0:11SPEAKER_01: Welcome back to the No Country for Hot Girls podcast.
- 0:13SPEAKER_01: You're in the right place.
- 0:16SPEAKER_01: Sit down, grab a mug of mocha, whatever's your poison.
- 0:21SPEAKER_01: Mocha is such a weird drink, isn't it?
- 0:24SPEAKER_01: It's for adults who are refusing to grow up.
- 0:27SPEAKER_01: Like, come on, just get a grip.
- 0:29SPEAKER_01: As if you need a hot chocolate with your coffee.
- 0:32SPEAKER_01: I feel like mocha is the drink of 42-year-old IT technicians called Clive, or maybe Graham, you know, and you can just see them from a mile off.
- 0:43SPEAKER_01: They've got some most greenish tone to their skin.
- 0:46SPEAKER_01: And you just know that they haven't eaten a vegetable in like three weeks.
- 0:50SPEAKER_01: Anyway, no shade to the IT community.
- 0:52SPEAKER_01: Sorry about that.
- 0:53SPEAKER_01: Um, on that note, you're in the right place, my friends.
- 0:58SPEAKER_01: We've got celebrity gossip for you.
- 1:01SPEAKER_01: We've got stuff, we've got lots and lots of stuff, but most importantly, the day has come.
- 1:10SPEAKER_01: The Summer House reunion is finally upon us.
- 1:14SPEAKER_01: Yes, that's right.
- 1:16SPEAKER_01: Scamander scandal.
- 1:18SPEAKER_01: We're finally getting into the nitty fucking gritty.
- 1:24SPEAKER_01: So there will be some chat of Scamander.
- 1:27SPEAKER_01: Be warned, Mum.
- 1:28SPEAKER_01: I'm sorry in advance.
- 1:30SPEAKER_01: We are gonna have some live extracts from a couple of friends who've popped over to watch the reunion.
- 1:36SPEAKER_01: The energy is slightly um hysterical as a result.
- 1:40SPEAKER_01: So just please, please, please, please bear with, bear with, bear with.
- 1:44SPEAKER_01: Um I thought I'd just like pick a tarot card, actually.
- 1:48SPEAKER_01: Just pick a tarot card for all of us in this community.
- 1:51SPEAKER_01: And let me just shuffle it one sec.
- 1:53SPEAKER_01: Can you hear that?
- 1:55SPEAKER_01: That's me sort of shuffling about.
- 1:57SPEAKER_01: Okay, so this is a tarot card for all of us.
- 2:01SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 2:02SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay, guys.
- 2:05SPEAKER_01: We've picked the hierophant.
- 2:07SPEAKER_01: Oh shit, they've all fallen now.
- 2:09SPEAKER_01: The hierophant.
- 2:10SPEAKER_01: Let me just Google what that actually means.
- 2:13SPEAKER_01: The hierophant meaning.
- 2:18SPEAKER_01: Okay, so this is a communal message for all of us.
- 2:21SPEAKER_01: Oh, apparently to do with wisdom guidance, commitment, and established values.
- 2:28SPEAKER_01: Well, yeah, exactly.
- 2:31SPEAKER_01: Core meanings, following established parcel traditions, learning from a teacher, mentor, seeking deeper understanding wisdom.
- 2:37SPEAKER_01: So that's exactly why you're here, guys.
- 2:38SPEAKER_01: You've come to the right place.
- 2:39SPEAKER_01: This is exactly where you're gonna get deeper spiritual guidance.
- 2:43SPEAKER_01: Think of me as your mentor from now on.
- 2:46SPEAKER_01: Anyway, love you all.
- 2:48SPEAKER_01: Be good.
- 2:51SPEAKER_03: Love you.
- 2:57SPEAKER_02: Hello, you've reached No Country with a Hot Girls Podcast.
- 3:02SPEAKER_02: We can't come to the phone right now.
- 3:05SPEAKER_02: Because we have better things to do.
- 3:10SPEAKER_02: We should have done a little clink clink of it.
- 3:13SPEAKER_02: Oh damn it, I wish I'd have my glass, my first glass of wine.
- 3:17SPEAKER_02: Do you want to tell everyone?
- 3:19SPEAKER_02: What?
- 3:19SPEAKER_02: I'm breaking my throat.
- 3:23SPEAKER_02: I haven't even made a month.
- 3:24SPEAKER_02: Like it's not even been a month.
- 3:26SPEAKER_02: It's been nearly a month.
- 3:28SPEAKER_02: It's been 27 days.
- 3:29SPEAKER_02: But obviously, when are you next drinking after this?
- 3:34SPEAKER_02: By this um by this.
- 3:39SPEAKER_02: I'm not even drinking.
- 3:41SPEAKER_02: What are you doing?
- 3:42SPEAKER_02: I was going down my sister meet this business partner of hers, and I said, I feel like I'll want a pint because it's gonna be 30 degrees.
- 3:49SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so fair.
- 3:50SPEAKER_02: And then it's my friend Nico's birthday on Friday, and I was like, fuck it, I'll just have a couple glasses of wine.
- 3:54SPEAKER_02: Couple.
- 3:54SPEAKER_02: No, I am gonna moderate.
- 3:56SPEAKER_02: Yeah, nice.
- 3:58SPEAKER_02: Okay, so do you want to say what today is?
- 4:00SPEAKER_02: What's today?
- 4:01SPEAKER_02: Oh, oh, the it's reunion day.
- 4:03SPEAKER_02: Sorry.
- 4:04SPEAKER_02: Anna.
- 4:07SPEAKER_02: Sorry, we've had a we've had a very frantic beginning of this podcast.
- 4:13SPEAKER_02: We've had more audio issues, we've had white noise, we've had a whisper of a voice.
- 4:19SPEAKER_02: If this sounds shit, guys, and I'm sorry, but you're still gonna have to deal with it.
- 4:22SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we just give up.
- 4:24SPEAKER_02: Um sorry, it's reunion day.
- 4:26SPEAKER_02: Yeah, which means we're all very excited.
- 4:31SPEAKER_02: It's the official reunion day.
- 4:34SPEAKER_02: It's the day that we have been waiting and dreaming about now for about a month.
- 4:39SPEAKER_02: I spoke to my mum on the phone today, and she was like, What are you doing this week?
- 4:42SPEAKER_02: And I said, Oh, going to Jules's because we're gonna watch the reunion of that reality TV programme that we've been talking about for weeks.
- 4:51SPEAKER_02: She was like, Oh, it's coming to an end, is it?
- 4:53SPEAKER_02: I was like, You're like, No, it's not, mum.
- 4:56SPEAKER_02: At least another three.
- 4:57SPEAKER_02: No, it's not because they feature in in the city next week.
- 4:59SPEAKER_02: So yeah, um, so guys, we're we're celebrating, we're all congregating at my flat, so obviously us two, and then we've got some die hard fans, yeah, of which there are about three in London.
- 5:12SPEAKER_02: It just so happens they're our friends.
- 5:15SPEAKER_02: My friend from work is doing the same thing though.
- 5:17SPEAKER_02: We know we're friends, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 5:18SPEAKER_02: They're all going to their friend's house tomorrow.
- 5:20SPEAKER_02: To a summer house.
- 5:21SPEAKER_02: Yeah, tourist reunion.
- 5:22SPEAKER_02: She watched summer house.
- 5:23SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, she's festive.
- 5:25SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 5:26SPEAKER_02: Oh my god, okay.
- 5:27SPEAKER_02: It's so nice when you meet her.
- 5:29SPEAKER_02: I got really stressed out when I was watching Southern Charm because you know how I started it from the beginning, and then I went to like season eight because I just wanted to watch anything that Paige was in.
- 5:40SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 5:41SPEAKER_02: And then I had to like go back again, and then I finished it from the new season, and she was like, I can't deal with this.
- 5:47SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 5:48SPEAKER_02: Oh my god, okay.
- 5:49SPEAKER_02: I love this.
- 5:49SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 5:50SPEAKER_02: I know she's a huge bravo.
- 5:52SPEAKER_02: Okay, okay.
- 5:53SPEAKER_02: Um, but they're watching it tomorrow, so she was like, No spoilers.
- 5:57SPEAKER_02: It's obviously not when they were free.
- 5:59SPEAKER_02: Oh, right, okay.
- 6:00SPEAKER_02: Well, can I just say that's dicing that?
- 6:02SPEAKER_02: Like, I've just got about just uh got oh my I've lost speed.
- 6:10SPEAKER_02: Um I'm so excited I can't speak.
- 6:16SPEAKER_02: No, I've um I've forgotten what I was gonna say now.
- 6:20SPEAKER_02: You well, every single time you open Instagram, yeah, you're shown half the actual.
- 6:25SPEAKER_02: I was gonna say I've managed to get away with not seeing anything today, but I didn't don't think I'd make it 24 hours.
- 6:32SPEAKER_02: No, absolutely not.
- 6:33SPEAKER_02: And also, this is the thing, I love the build-up, but I'm like, guys, you're ruining the best bits.
- 6:38SPEAKER_02: 100%, because all the best bits get clipped.
- 6:40SPEAKER_02: So it's yeah, and it's so annoying.
- 6:42SPEAKER_02: I'm like, actually, it's quite bad marketing because every time I get to the actual episode, I'm like, everything else in this episode is dull.
- 6:49SPEAKER_02: And I already know the climax of the episode.
- 6:52SPEAKER_02: So why are you ruining it for us?
- 6:53SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 6:54SPEAKER_02: Anyway, guys, so some impassioned talk.
- 6:57SPEAKER_02: Emmy's so excited.
- 6:59SPEAKER_02: Are we gonna do any live snippets?
- 7:01SPEAKER_02: Um, what?
- 7:02SPEAKER_02: Yeah, oh god, yeah, we're gonna get um a vox pop.
- 7:05SPEAKER_02: Yeah, no, yeah.
- 7:07SPEAKER_02: You told me this plan.
- 7:08SPEAKER_02: Yeah, well, don't you think we should get everyone's opinions?
- 7:10SPEAKER_02: Yes, definitely.
- 7:10SPEAKER_02: Everyone's feelings, gasps, a few gasps.
- 7:13SPEAKER_02: I was also gonna get um some labels from work so everyone, you know how like it's like soft voicey, oh, I was gonna get from the right titles, but I fucking forgot.
- 7:23SPEAKER_02: Damn it.
- 7:23SPEAKER_02: And I also really wanted to get little American flags for like July 4th.
- 7:27SPEAKER_02: But again, obviously, I've got a job and a life.
- 7:30SPEAKER_02: And also, like, money, where are you gonna get those?
- 7:34SPEAKER_02: Budget at the moment.
- 7:36SPEAKER_02: Don't have money to burn.
- 7:39SPEAKER_02: But anyway, so we're recording this as quickly as possible before everyone arrives.
- 7:44SPEAKER_02: I need to make some guacamole, which apparently Amanda is a signature dish.
- 7:49SPEAKER_02: I don't know what that says about her.
- 7:51SPEAKER_02: Okay, so we'll circle back to the reunion later.
- 7:55SPEAKER_02: But let's touch base about what else has been going on.
- 7:58SPEAKER_02: But can we please talk quickly about the heat wave?
- 8:01SPEAKER_02: The heat wave, yeah.
- 8:03SPEAKER_02: I mean, I have been enjoying it because I have been off work.
- 8:08SPEAKER_02: So I although it was like actually too hot to sunbathe the last couple of days, but I um I just was like misting myself with my hose.
- 8:18SPEAKER_02: Stop.
- 8:18SPEAKER_02: So, like, we got a new hose and it goes to it has like different things, yeah.
- 8:24SPEAKER_02: And one of them is mist.
- 8:25SPEAKER_02: Oh my god, stop.
- 8:26SPEAKER_02: It's so nice, it's so nice.
- 8:29SPEAKER_02: Literally just turn it on myself and like mist up and down.
- 8:32SPEAKER_02: It's honestly stunning.
- 8:34SPEAKER_02: Um lovely.
- 8:35SPEAKER_02: Yeah, no, it's seriously gorgeous.
- 8:37SPEAKER_02: So I've been doing that and sunbathing for like a couple hours a day.
- 8:42SPEAKER_02: Well, you are looking, as I told you when you walked in, very bronzed.
- 8:45SPEAKER_02: Well, I've got a tiny bit of a tan.
- 8:47SPEAKER_02: No, you you've actually got quite a lot of tan.
- 8:49SPEAKER_02: So um the heat wave has done me quite well.
- 8:51SPEAKER_02: So yeah, well, okay, I'm glad that you've enjoyed the heat wave.
- 8:54SPEAKER_02: I have to say I've hated every second.
- 8:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah, of course, yeah.
- 8:56SPEAKER_02: Of course.
- 8:57SPEAKER_02: I would have had no doubt.
- 9:00SPEAKER_02: Okay, but it's not like I don't like the sun.
- 9:02SPEAKER_02: I just feel like the oppressiveness of the heat just makes me feel like I can't breathe.
- 9:08SPEAKER_02: No, totally, and it makes you a bit stressed.
- 9:11SPEAKER_02: It makes you stressed.
- 9:12SPEAKER_02: And do you know what it makes me think all constantly?
- 9:14SPEAKER_02: It just makes me have like a loop in my mind of we're gonna die in an inferno.
- 9:18SPEAKER_02: And then every five well, because because like climate change, it just makes me think like this is only going to get worse.
- 9:25SPEAKER_02: That's all I think about.
- 9:26SPEAKER_02: Did you not?
- 9:27SPEAKER_02: There was oh, I didn't read it because I was like, ain't reading that today.
- 9:30SPEAKER_02: The Guardian thing that I shared on Instagram.
- 9:32SPEAKER_02: Was that what you shared with me?
- 9:33SPEAKER_02: I was like, I can't do everything.
- 9:35SPEAKER_02: It was like, if you think this is what imagine what 2015 is like, and I was like, because obviously yesterday I was on my crusade being like, I've got to help Greta Thunberg, like, how am I gonna stop this?
- 9:46SPEAKER_02: I can't live like this.
- 9:48SPEAKER_02: So I was like, right, that's it.
- 9:49SPEAKER_02: Everyone needs to hear this, everyone can adjust their behaviour.
- 9:53SPEAKER_02: Swiftly ignored.
- 9:54SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 9:54SPEAKER_02: No, I usually do indulge a bit in that stuff, but I just was like, I don't have the capacity today.
- 10:02SPEAKER_02: 100%.
- 10:02SPEAKER_02: I mean, I shared it and I didn't actually even finish the slides because it made me too depressed.
- 10:07SPEAKER_02: That's the thing, it's just and yeah.
- 10:10SPEAKER_02: What can you do?
- 10:11SPEAKER_02: What can we do?
- 10:12SPEAKER_02: I mean, we could protest, I suppose.
- 10:15SPEAKER_02: We could and we could vote for the green party.
- 10:19SPEAKER_02: I did.
- 10:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I I yeah.
- 10:20SPEAKER_01: Did you at the mayor at Mayor elections?
- 10:22SPEAKER_01: Oh, I would have done anyway if I had a vote.
- 10:26SPEAKER_01: I'm uh not on the electoral register.
- 10:29SPEAKER_02: You know, you could be.
- 10:30SPEAKER_02: I could be, I could be, yeah.
- 10:31SPEAKER_02: I will be soon, I will be soon.
- 10:33SPEAKER_02: Um she gets her Perdridge passport and she's I'm like, I'm out of here, guys.
- 10:39SPEAKER_02: Oh my god, wait, speaking of hot temperatures, just really quickly back to summer house.
- 10:43SPEAKER_02: So um West and Amanda have fleeing.
- 10:46SPEAKER_02: Oh yeah.
- 10:47SPEAKER_02: Fleen flee fled, flow, fleeed, flew, flow, fled, fled, fled.
- 10:54SPEAKER_02: See, this is what the heat wave does to your brain.
- 10:56SPEAKER_02: Yeah, exactly.
- 10:56SPEAKER_02: Cooks it.
- 10:57SPEAKER_02: They fled the country and they're in the eternal city.
- 11:00SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that is what is surely hotter than here.
- 11:05SPEAKER_02: Right it is, it is.
- 11:06SPEAKER_02: I have to say, it was fucking hot there when I went last year in the heat in the peak of summer.
- 11:12SPEAKER_02: Um, like you just couldn't do anything.
- 11:14SPEAKER_02: Yeah, obviously you know the story, but me and Tia were there as well.
- 11:17SPEAKER_02: That was when we were chasing Harry Stars, as I told you.
- 11:20SPEAKER_02: And um, I think it was like 37 degrees and but it was muggy.
- 11:24SPEAKER_02: Weren't you rinsing yourself under the taps?
- 11:26SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 11:27SPEAKER_02: Literally every 500 metres we were having a full body shower in clothes and these taps.
- 11:32SPEAKER_02: So but it's really cool.
- 11:32SPEAKER_02: So Rome has cold like taps everywhere, like go around the city, and it's just like you can drink it, like it's all it's just like it's really cold, isn't it?
- 11:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it is.
- 11:42SPEAKER_02: It's like genuinely really cold at clean water.
- 11:45SPEAKER_02: How do they do that?
- 11:46SPEAKER_02: I don't know, but and why didn't they do that?
- 11:49SPEAKER_02: Um, but yeah, anyway, so like you just stop off and you can just like get more water, and then Jules and Chia's case, shower showering, and Jules was wearing white shorts.
- 11:58SPEAKER_02: No, no, no.
- 11:59SPEAKER_02: So basically, what happened was it was so hot and so muggy that eventually it broke and there was a massive thunderstorm.
- 12:07SPEAKER_02: So we had been gone from being so hot to suddenly completely you know when it's like one of those like biblical thunderstorms where it's like the rain feels like literally golf balls on your head.
- 12:17SPEAKER_02: Anyway, I was wearing full white, like white, like boxes, like you know, like girl boxes, girl boxes and a white tank top.
- 12:25SPEAKER_02: And I am not joking, I was wearing also a white thong, so it basically exposed my entire arm.
- 12:31SPEAKER_02: And obviously, no bra.
- 12:32SPEAKER_02: Obviously, no bra.
- 12:33SPEAKER_02: So I was nude walking around Rome and I had to get Cheers umbrella, and I obviously popped it open, and I was just holding it behind my ass trying to cover my bottom.
- 12:43SPEAKER_02: I'll put the picture on the notes because it's so bad.
- 12:47SPEAKER_02: How do you decide whether to cover the front or the back then?
- 12:50SPEAKER_02: Because the back was more clear and it was the because of the thong.
- 12:54SPEAKER_02: Yeah, because the thong, like the front, you couldn't quite see my vagina.
- 12:59SPEAKER_02: It was really bad.
- 13:00SPEAKER_02: What was Tia wearing?
- 13:02SPEAKER_02: She was wearing some kind of elegant smock.
- 13:06SPEAKER_02: Um, but speaking on heat wave behaviour, one of mine and Hannah's favourite articles of all time is by a guy called Joel Golby, who I actually accosted once at a party about this article, didn't I?
- 13:20SPEAKER_02: Okay, she went up to, and I was like, bearing in mind, like this guy isn't famous, he's literally a journalist.
- 13:24SPEAKER_02: Like he's got like a thousand people.
- 13:26SPEAKER_02: You know, he's really good friends with Ollie's brother and his wife.
- 13:30SPEAKER_02: I know, I'm so jealous.
- 13:31SPEAKER_02: I'm so jealous.
- 13:32SPEAKER_02: Um, but went up to at the party, I just ran a party and I was like, I'm so I'm so sorry, like you don't know who I am, but I just wanted to tell you I'm a big fan.
- 13:38SPEAKER_02: Bearing in mind, I've never done it.
- 13:39SPEAKER_02: I love your article, Heat Wave Baver.
- 13:41SPEAKER_02: He's like, I wrote that of advice like on a Tuesday, 2019.
- 13:45SPEAKER_02: Yeah, 2019.
- 13:46SPEAKER_02: Can we just actually we'll post it in the notes.
- 13:48SPEAKER_02: But if you want to read a really funny article, then yeah, we're not gonna read out.
- 13:54SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that would be quite heat wavy behaviour.
- 13:57SPEAKER_02: Anyway, yeah, read it, it's really good.
- 13:59SPEAKER_02: Yeah, journalism at its finest.
- 14:02SPEAKER_02: Um, okay, on to the meaty stuff.
- 14:04SPEAKER_02: Meaty stuff.
- 14:05SPEAKER_02: Well over here.
- 14:06SPEAKER_02: We both we both watched the Kylie Doc.
- 14:09SPEAKER_02: I fucking love her.
- 14:10SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so how many apps are you in?
- 14:12SPEAKER_02: I finished it.
- 14:13SPEAKER_02: Oh, so you finished it?
- 14:14SPEAKER_02: Is it four?
- 14:14SPEAKER_02: Three.
- 14:14SPEAKER_02: Three, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 14:16SPEAKER_02: So good.
- 14:17SPEAKER_02: Oh, she's literally an icon.
- 14:19SPEAKER_02: I love her so much.
- 14:21SPEAKER_02: She's firstly so gorgeous.
- 14:23SPEAKER_02: So gorgeous.
- 14:24SPEAKER_02: And I also feel like it was her authentic self to like be sexy.
- 14:29SPEAKER_02: You don't really get it that way around with like popstars that usually they don't want like their sex to sell.
- 14:36SPEAKER_02: But she was like, Do you know what I mean?
- 14:38SPEAKER_02: Like they tried to make their culturalized by like managing.
- 14:41SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 14:41SPEAKER_02: She was like owning that.
- 14:43SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's it.
- 14:44SPEAKER_02: So she was like started off in the 80s, and obviously she was in neighbours and she was like very girl next door vibe, very girl.
- 14:51SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 14:52SPEAKER_02: And people didn't think she was like pretty or anything, which I was shocked about.
- 14:56SPEAKER_02: And then I think after she went out with Michael Um Hutchins Hutchins, yeah.
- 15:02SPEAKER_02: Um she just suddenly came into herself.
- 15:06SPEAKER_02: Do you know what I mean?
- 15:07SPEAKER_02: Yeah, well the first thing that I took away was she's so beautiful, but like in such an understated way.
- 15:12SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 15:12SPEAKER_02: Don't you think like it's easy to almost miss, but then when you look at her face, you're like, you're beautiful.
- 15:17SPEAKER_02: Yeah, totally.
- 15:18SPEAKER_02: Like her eyes are so gorgeous, so blue, and like the perfect shape, and she's got the perfect, loveliest hair, and she's so tiny and petite, and like that's so natural.
- 15:27SPEAKER_02: She's five foot.
- 15:28SPEAKER_02: I know, crazy.
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 15:30SPEAKER_02: Um, but yeah, and I was reading an article about how she was saying, or maybe she says it in the doc, but she was saying that when she started going out with Michael Hutchins, it was like he made her feel so safe being her complete true self.
- 15:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah, even when she was being like criticized by other people, he believed in her so much that it made her so much more like secure in herself, so sweet.
- 15:51SPEAKER_02: I know they yeah, they had a really sweet relationship.
- 15:55SPEAKER_02: Especially so sad.
- 15:56SPEAKER_02: When I was watching that, so I haven't quite got to that bit yet, but we're kind of getting there when she first meets in the back today.
- 16:01SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 16:01SPEAKER_02: Was it quite savage that she was going out with Jason Donovan?
- 16:04SPEAKER_02: I know, and just did she went into the table.
- 16:07SPEAKER_02: He got the ticket.
- 16:08SPEAKER_02: So she was going out Jason Donovan from Neighbours, and he he also came across like such a dick, as did Pete Waterman.
- 16:16SPEAKER_02: Yeah, Pete Waterman, I can I remember being a dick from back in the day.
- 16:19SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but anyway.
- 16:21SPEAKER_02: Um, and they went to an in XS concert and Jason got the tickets, and they like I don't know how they got backstage, I guess, because they were like kind of famous or whatever.
- 16:32SPEAKER_02: And apparently, Kylie and Michael were like just instantly like attracted to each other and they disappeared into the bathroom for ages.
- 16:39SPEAKER_02: I love that he added that detail.
- 16:41SPEAKER_02: And Jason was just there.
- 16:42SPEAKER_02: Jason was just standing there, and then he was like, Did you speak to Michael Hutchins?
- 16:45SPEAKER_02: And he was like, uh no.
- 16:47SPEAKER_02: No, and he was like, he wasn't interested in me.
- 16:50SPEAKER_02: I actually can I just say Jason Donovan, I heard him on a podcast not long ago.
- 16:53SPEAKER_02: I actually think it might have been Baby Lang's podcast, but he is fucking hilarious.
- 16:59SPEAKER_02: Really?
- 16:59SPEAKER_02: He's a joker.
- 17:00SPEAKER_02: So actually, watching him do his like his talking head bit, like I think that he was fully joking.
- 17:06SPEAKER_02: Oh, really?
- 17:06SPEAKER_02: Taking the piss, yeah.
- 17:08SPEAKER_02: Uh he like fully takes the piss out of himself all the time.
- 17:11SPEAKER_02: Fine.
- 17:11SPEAKER_02: Yeah, okay.
- 17:12SPEAKER_02: Well, that yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 17:14SPEAKER_02: But can you imagine it felt so sweeping because I was like, he obviously was the big dog on neighbours before Kylie came.
- 17:19SPEAKER_02: I know.
- 17:19SPEAKER_02: She joined him on the show, then she fucks off to London, becomes like a super famous pop star, and then essentially ditches him for like the most famous like male rock star.
- 17:29SPEAKER_02: Australian.
- 17:29SPEAKER_00: Is he was he Australian?
- 17:30SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 17:31SPEAKER_02: And he's just left there high and dry.
- 17:33SPEAKER_02: So he tried to do his own music career.
- 17:35SPEAKER_02: Oh no.
- 17:36SPEAKER_02: God bless you.
- 17:37SPEAKER_02: He had some all right stuff, didn't he?
- 17:39SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 17:39SPEAKER_02: It was very 80s.
- 17:41SPEAKER_02: Um, no, really, really good dog.
- 17:45SPEAKER_02: But I'm just obsessed with her.
- 17:46SPEAKER_02: She's also like a gay icon.
- 17:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah, she's iconic, but it's just made me literally made me like weep when she was saying what we had was so magical and so special.
- 17:56SPEAKER_02: And I've been trying to recreate that for the rest of my life, and I've never found it again.
- 18:02SPEAKER_02: Yeah, third episode I was bawling my eyes out.
- 18:05SPEAKER_02: Oh my god.
- 18:06SPEAKER_02: It didn't it give you, it gave me like tingles, it made me be like, oh my god, I kind of wish that I was like living in this era.
- 18:13SPEAKER_02: I don't know, it just felt like, or maybe I just wanted her life.
- 18:15SPEAKER_02: I don't know what it was, but it's like, you know, they're just like such an energy about it.
- 18:18SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I think that's always like that when you watch documentaries about musicians that you love.
- 18:24SPEAKER_02: It's like the same with the Oasis one.
- 18:26SPEAKER_02: It's like all you do is just want to like be going to Nebworth.
- 18:29SPEAKER_02: Do you know what I mean?
- 18:29SPEAKER_02: It's like you would literally give like three arms, the ivory arms, steal one of them.
- 18:35SPEAKER_02: No, but it's both two arms and someone else's arm.
- 18:37SPEAKER_02: But I think it's actually not all documentaries, like for example, the red hotel.
- 18:42SPEAKER_02: No, they did one.
- 18:43SPEAKER_02: I wouldn't I wouldn't want to know in anything that they were doing.
- 18:46SPEAKER_02: But like that's obviously supersonic.
- 18:48SPEAKER_02: Oh my god, do you know what that's a good segue?
- 18:51SPEAKER_02: What supersonic?
- 18:52SPEAKER_02: When did we watch Super Sonic?
- 18:58SPEAKER_02: Super Sonic is one of mine and Hannah's top 10 favorite films, documentaries.
- 19:03SPEAKER_02: Yeah, like no, even just like documentaries, just like favorite things ever.
- 19:08SPEAKER_02: First of all, Liam Gallagher is the hottest man on earth.
- 19:11SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 19:12SPEAKER_02: Well, also Dame Norbon, but like in anyway, for the sake of argument, Liam in that film is oh my god, stunning, stunning.
- 19:22SPEAKER_02: But we watched it so many times, but then we had it's really awful.
- 19:28SPEAKER_02: Me and Jules had, but we have copyrighted as the worst day of our lives.
- 19:35SPEAKER_02: Do you remember what day it was?
- 19:36SPEAKER_02: It was like April 29th.
- 19:38SPEAKER_02: It was the second bit of COVID, yeah, I think, and it was really cold, I remember.
- 19:42SPEAKER_02: So I don't know if it was April, whether it was like a bit before, but basically we were living together in East Allich, and we had both uh just come off breakups.
- 19:53SPEAKER_02: We were so depressed, and we oh my god, I found it.
- 19:56SPEAKER_02: 11th of April 2021.
- 19:59SPEAKER_02: Because it's like a hailing, didn't it?
- 20:01SPEAKER_02: Oh my um gods.
- 20:03SPEAKER_02: We'll do a montage and pay honest.
- 20:06SPEAKER_02: We did we documented it loads, but basically we were re redressed.
- 20:10SPEAKER_02: Can we really quickly set the scene?
- 20:11SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 20:12SPEAKER_02: You'd had this boyfriend, you guys had broken up a few times.
- 20:14SPEAKER_02: I think this was the final breakup of that relationship, and you were not in a good place.
- 20:19SPEAKER_02: No, it wasn't the final, but anyway, yeah.
- 20:21SPEAKER_02: Sorry, the penultimate breakup.
- 20:22SPEAKER_02: But at this point, you thought it was the final breakup.
- 20:25SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 20:25SPEAKER_02: So you're in a bad place.
- 20:26SPEAKER_02: We couldn't leave the house because it was, I mean, we could, but we couldn't do anything.
- 20:30SPEAKER_02: It was COVID, yeah.
- 20:31SPEAKER_02: It was like another lockdown vibe.
- 20:33SPEAKER_02: I was in this relationship with this absolute nutter who I was obsessed with, but also he was just a freak and useless.
- 20:41SPEAKER_02: But I remember the one that didn't change his sheets so much.
- 20:43SPEAKER_02: Uh honestly, all of them.
- 20:45SPEAKER_02: Um but I remember like consoling you, being like, you know, speaking to him about you and being like, Oh, I'm really worried about Hannah.
- 20:52SPEAKER_02: Hopefully it's gonna be better, hopefully it's gonna be okay.
- 20:54SPEAKER_02: Like, we'll get through this.
- 20:55SPEAKER_02: And then literally a week later, do you remember it all began at the Grand National?
- 20:59SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 20:59SPEAKER_02: So Upper Maya, friend of the pod, hi.
- 21:02SPEAKER_02: Um, the only friend of the pod, our only friend.
- 21:06SPEAKER_02: Anyway, she invited us around to watch the Grand National.
- 21:08SPEAKER_02: Why we were watching the Grand National, I have no idea.
- 21:10SPEAKER_02: It was never listened.
- 21:11SPEAKER_02: No, I mean I said, no, we were we're going a bit off piece.
- 21:15SPEAKER_02: Okay, right.
- 21:16SPEAKER_02: But we were we were at Mai's house and she was also coming off of a breakout.
- 21:20SPEAKER_02: Oh god.
- 21:21SPEAKER_02: And we were all really sad.
- 21:23SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 21:23SPEAKER_02: And I was like, let's watch the Grand National and bet some money.
- 21:27SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and then go to the pub with the money if we win.
- 21:30SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 21:30SPEAKER_02: So we all bet, I think it was what, like 50 quid or something?
- 21:34SPEAKER_02: I know, it wasn't that much.
- 21:36SPEAKER_02: Maybe it was a bit less.
- 21:36SPEAKER_02: But anyway, I put money on this one horse called like clothcat.
- 21:40unknown: Do you remember?
- 21:41SPEAKER_02: I did this dare remember.
- 21:42SPEAKER_02: It was called Cloth Cap.
- 21:43SPEAKER_02: Or maybe Cloth Cap won.
- 21:44SPEAKER_02: Anyway, we watched the Grand National, we're all kind of joking around.
- 21:48SPEAKER_02: We've had about five bottles of wine, then we get the results of the Grand National, and I say that like Cloth Cap won.
- 21:53SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and you've won like 200 quids.
- 21:55SPEAKER_02: 200 quids.
- 21:56SPEAKER_02: I'm running around being like, oh my god, I thought that you know life was awful, but actually it's Maybe I've got 200 pounds.
- 22:01SPEAKER_02: I've got 200 pounds.
- 22:02SPEAKER_02: I can't believe this.
- 22:02SPEAKER_02: I've never won anything in my life.
- 22:03SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 22:04SPEAKER_02: So then we sit down at the table, and then I get this text from my boyfriend who had been ghosting me for about three days, basically dumping me with a huge essay.
- 22:14SPEAKER_02: And then five minutes later, I then discover that actually I hadn't betted on a cloth cap.
- 22:20SPEAKER_02: I'd betted on a different horse and just lost 50 quid.
- 22:26SPEAKER_02: And then I literally dropped all of my stuff and just stormed out of my house.
- 22:29SPEAKER_02: Do you remember?
- 22:30SPEAKER_02: And you were like, Jules, I can live with you.
- 22:32unknown: Come back.
- 22:33SPEAKER_02: And I was like, I'm leaving.
- 22:36SPEAKER_02: But anyway, that wasn't the worst day of our life.
- 22:38SPEAKER_02: No, no, no, no, no.
- 22:39SPEAKER_02: But so this was like the few days beforehand.
- 22:42SPEAKER_02: And then we'd kind of simmered down.
- 22:44SPEAKER_02: You're still grieving.
- 22:45SPEAKER_02: I'm now fully in the throes of grieving.
- 22:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 22:49SPEAKER_02: So we had a day to ourselves.
- 22:51SPEAKER_02: And no one else was around.
- 22:52SPEAKER_02: I think our other housemates had like gone to see their boyfriends or something.
- 22:55SPEAKER_02: And we were like, perfect.
- 22:57SPEAKER_02: So we were like, okay, what do we do with our time?
- 23:00SPEAKER_02: Like we're both really depressed.
- 23:03SPEAKER_02: So we go to Dulwich Park, we walk around, it starts hailing.
- 23:08SPEAKER_02: We think, what should we do?
- 23:09SPEAKER_02: So we think it's hailing, we're in Dulwich Park, we're in like huge puffer jackets.
- 23:14SPEAKER_02: Why don't we get one of the boats on the pond in Dulwich Park?
- 23:19SPEAKER_02: We get on a boat.
- 23:20SPEAKER_02: We can hardly move the boat.
- 23:22SPEAKER_02: We're just aimlessly rowing on this boat.
- 23:25SPEAKER_02: We're not even rowing, we're just like still just boat not speaking, not speaking, just like looking at each other.
- 23:32SPEAKER_02: I'm out into the middle depth offensively.
- 23:35SPEAKER_02: Then we get stuck in like a bit of the lake, and there's like a few like ducks around, and we're like, how do we get out of here?
- 23:41SPEAKER_02: So, anyway, so we kind of managed to shimmy our way back to this point.
- 23:45SPEAKER_02: You think that you've seen someone you know?
- 23:47SPEAKER_02: It was like either David or like David's friend or something, and you were like trying to hide.
- 23:51SPEAKER_02: Oh, trying to hide.
- 23:52SPEAKER_02: Like the canner, it's fine as well.
- 23:55SPEAKER_02: It wasn't a day to see anyone.
- 23:56SPEAKER_02: We loaded so bad.
- 23:58SPEAKER_02: Um, and so anyway, so that happens.
- 24:00SPEAKER_02: We go around the park a bit more, we try and cheer ourselves up.
- 24:04SPEAKER_02: At this point, we think we've killed like five hours of the day, surely.
- 24:08SPEAKER_02: And we could killed about an hour and a half.
- 24:10SPEAKER_02: Do you remember?
- 24:11SPEAKER_02: We were like, We all we need to do to feel better is get dinner.
- 24:15SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 24:17SPEAKER_02: Um, but yeah, so like we think it's been about five hours, it's been an hour and a half.
- 24:21SPEAKER_02: Like, it's been no time at all.
- 24:23SPEAKER_02: And we're like, we have the whole day after.
- 24:26SPEAKER_02: What the fuck are we gonna do?
- 24:27SPEAKER_02: Anyway, we go to the shop, we get loads of boresan, we go back to the house, we watch Supersonic, and then I can't remember what else we did.
- 24:36SPEAKER_02: I think we finished the entire bore san and at the end of Super Sonic, we were just sat there, just stunned into silence.
- 24:43SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and it still wasn't time to get to bed.
- 24:45SPEAKER_02: No, it wasn't time to go to bed.
- 24:47SPEAKER_02: We were, if anything, more depressed because we were now like we're living in the wrong era.
- 24:50SPEAKER_02: Yeah, like no one's gonna be as hot as Liam Gallagher.
- 24:53SPEAKER_02: All of these men around us are fucking losers.
- 24:56SPEAKER_02: We wanted to be in Nebworth.
- 24:57SPEAKER_02: We didn't want to be in fucking East Dullet eating bores during a pandemic.
- 25:02SPEAKER_02: But we were skinny and we looked amazing, but no one got to see.
- 25:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's true.
- 25:08SPEAKER_02: So, yeah, that was the word thing.
- 25:13SPEAKER_04: Oh I'm gonna post some videos.
- 25:14SPEAKER_02: Oh my god, and do you remember when we were like everything?
- 25:17SPEAKER_02: We were like Nora Efron, everything is cocky.
- 25:19SPEAKER_00: Now look at us, look at us now.
- 25:22SPEAKER_02: Fucking hell.
- 25:24SPEAKER_02: Um, and yeah, what's changed?
- 25:27SPEAKER_02: Nothing, literally nothing.
- 25:30SPEAKER_02: It's still mainlining balls hand every day in my fucking life.
- 25:33SPEAKER_02: Oh my god, yeah, but anyway, I do love a music doc.
- 25:37SPEAKER_02: So yeah, me too.
- 25:38SPEAKER_02: I feel like, don't you think films are so hard to choose a film that it's almost overwhelming?
- 25:43SPEAKER_02: And I sometimes find like expectations are too high, and it's like my attention span is like way too short to be like let's weather this really weird intro to see like whether or not it gets better.
- 25:51SPEAKER_02: Whereas with a music doc, like a especially like a rock and roll doc where it's like giving ins and outs of relationships and turns and twists, I feel like I'm hooked, I'm in.
- 26:00SPEAKER_02: Yeah, for sure.
- 26:01SPEAKER_02: And also I famously am a re-watcher of programs, yeah, friends.
- 26:06SPEAKER_02: Um so many, so many programs.
- 26:09SPEAKER_02: Um, because I don't like not knowing what happens.
- 26:13SPEAKER_02: So films I can find quite stressful, unless it's literally like a rom-com that I know is gonna end the same way.
- 26:20SPEAKER_02: But like if it's a film where I don't know what's gonna happen, I always have to like be on my phone or like distract myself or something like that.
- 26:27SPEAKER_02: But with the music doc, you kind of know what the trajectory of their career is.
- 26:31SPEAKER_02: Do you know what I mean?
- 26:32SPEAKER_02: Even if you don't know some things, yeah, quite like real life as well.
- 26:37SPEAKER_02: But as you say, the twist because it's a bit removed.
- 26:39SPEAKER_02: Yeah, exactly.
- 26:40SPEAKER_02: It doesn't, it's not like it's all fat stressful thing.
- 26:43SPEAKER_02: Like it's just like interesting, like academic.
- 26:45SPEAKER_02: Yeah, do you know what I mean?
- 26:46SPEAKER_02: It's school.
- 26:47SPEAKER_02: Also, by the way, that's like full nervous system, just regular.
- 26:52SPEAKER_02: You should really do something about.
- 26:54SPEAKER_02: I do the same funny thing where I can't like watch anything without knowing what happens.
- 26:59SPEAKER_02: I just think it's like a cute little quirk.
- 27:01SPEAKER_02: No, no, your nervous system is going crazy.
- 27:04SPEAKER_02: Well, we knew that anyway.
- 27:05SPEAKER_02: But I'm the same, I'm the exact same.
- 27:07SPEAKER_02: I can only watch Bravo now.
- 27:09SPEAKER_02: Me and Flo only watch Bravo because emotionally handled.
- 27:13SPEAKER_02: No, I know, I know, I know, I know.
- 27:16SPEAKER_02: Um, okay, so I just wanted to throw a couple of new little tips.
- 27:20SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you go because um I've been randomly looking at stuff.
- 27:23SPEAKER_02: Okay, Emily and Paris have finally been cancelled.
- 27:26SPEAKER_02: Shut up! Well, they've they're filming one more fucking series.
- 27:29SPEAKER_02: Oh, that I'm sad about it.
- 27:30SPEAKER_02: Are you?
- 27:30SPEAKER_02: It's come on, it's shit now.
- 27:32SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it is, but I love it.
- 27:34SPEAKER_02: Did you finish the last series?
- 27:35SPEAKER_02: I did, yeah.
- 27:36SPEAKER_02: Did you I didn't finish it?
- 27:37SPEAKER_02: Um What happened at the end?
- 27:39SPEAKER_02: The same thing that always happens that she realizes she loves that she's oh no, she ends up in Greece.
- 27:47SPEAKER_02: She ends up in Greece, and then obviously that guy, what's his chops, lives in her building.
- 27:53SPEAKER_02: What the hell is he called?
- 27:54SPEAKER_02: Gabriel.
- 27:55SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 27:55SPEAKER_02: Gabrielle.
- 27:56SPEAKER_02: Gabrielle.
- 27:57SPEAKER_02: Um, he like rears his head.
- 28:00SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, rears his head basically to like try and go after her again.
- 28:04SPEAKER_02: So I guess they're gonna end up together in the next one.
- 28:06SPEAKER_02: I could rich to write the next season of the show.
- 28:08SPEAKER_02: So the next series of the show is in Mykonos, and she's he's chefing on a on a yacht.
- 28:13SPEAKER_02: Oh yeah, he's chefing on a yacht.
- 28:15SPEAKER_02: She goes to Mykonos because I think she just takes a holiday or something.
- 28:20SPEAKER_02: I can't remember.
- 28:20SPEAKER_02: Anyway, whatever.
- 28:24SPEAKER_02: Well, no, he texts her.
- 28:26SPEAKER_02: Anyway, I yeah, I could literally be the writer for that next series.
- 28:29SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and that says it all.
- 28:31SPEAKER_02: And that says it all.
- 28:32SPEAKER_02: And that's why I will not be tuning.
- 28:34SPEAKER_02: And that's why I will be watching it because I know what happened.
- 28:37SPEAKER_02: Yeah, exactly.
- 28:38SPEAKER_02: No, I just love it.
- 28:40SPEAKER_02: It's just such an easy watch and it's really ridiculous and campy.
- 28:44SPEAKER_02: I know, but I do think the first couple series I could get on board.
- 28:47SPEAKER_02: It was quite silly, but it was also kind of funny and endearing, whereas I just feel like it did get on.
- 28:51SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but I love all that shit.
- 28:53SPEAKER_02: I love a teen, stupid American romance.
- 28:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but she's not even a teen.
- 28:58SPEAKER_02: I think she's like mid-30s.
- 29:01SPEAKER_02: Also, I know what you're doing.
- 29:02SPEAKER_02: But you know what I mean?
- 29:03SPEAKER_02: You like a buildings roman.
- 29:06SPEAKER_02: A what?
- 29:07SPEAKER_02: You know, like a coming-of-a-star.
- 29:09SPEAKER_02: Oh right.
- 29:09SPEAKER_02: A buildings roman.
- 29:11SPEAKER_02: Is that what they call it?
- 29:12SPEAKER_02: No, never heard that.
- 29:13SPEAKER_02: I'm saying it wrong, obviously.
- 29:15SPEAKER_02: Buildings.
- 29:16SPEAKER_02: Sounds like not speaking English, I don't understand.
- 29:19SPEAKER_02: I was like, I'm just being sick.
- 29:21SPEAKER_02: Simless.
- 29:22SPEAKER_02: Buildings Roman.
- 29:23SPEAKER_02: Um, yeah, I've not heard it described like that.
- 29:26SPEAKER_02: Well, you got into that new show, what was it called?
- 29:28SPEAKER_02: Off campus.
- 29:29SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it was so bad.
- 29:31SPEAKER_02: So, so bad.
- 29:32SPEAKER_02: I thought you said it was really good.
- 29:33SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but in a bad way.
- 29:35SPEAKER_02: You know?
- 29:36SPEAKER_02: Oh, right, okay.
- 29:37SPEAKER_02: Kind of like the summer in temperature, you're a big fan of that as well.
- 29:40SPEAKER_02: I won't be rude then.
- 29:41SPEAKER_02: I haven't watched it, but I just know it's shit.
- 29:44SPEAKER_02: Is it shit?
- 29:46SPEAKER_02: Uh yeah, oh yeah.
- 29:48SPEAKER_02: It's not as bad as some of the other ones.
- 29:50SPEAKER_02: But I love it, shit.
- 29:51SPEAKER_02: I love like those Hallmark movies at Christmas.
- 29:54SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 29:56SPEAKER_02: Oh, I'm not, I can't watch the Hallmark.
- 29:58SPEAKER_02: I know like clanking Christmas at the you know, whatever.
- 30:02SPEAKER_02: Or like pumpkin picking in October.
- 30:08SPEAKER_02: My mum loves it.
- 30:09SPEAKER_02: I'm trying to think of what what on the yeah, like sleigh bells in the like in the city or something.
- 30:18SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 30:18SPEAKER_01: Oh my god, no, I can't personally.
- 30:21SPEAKER_02: I'm quite respected those writers for coming up with all of those titles because they're quite creative.
- 30:26SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 30:29SPEAKER_02: I mean, yeah, yeah.
- 30:31SPEAKER_02: I couldn't think of a good one, so just then.
- 30:33SPEAKER_02: Yeah, no, you couldn't.
- 30:34SPEAKER_02: No.
- 30:35SPEAKER_02: Slaybells in the city.
- 30:39SPEAKER_01: Wait, I don't see what some of the best ones are.
- 30:42SPEAKER_02: Um, also, did you see the stuff about Taylor Swift allegedly getting married in the Cotswolds?
- 30:48SPEAKER_02: Oh, for God's sake.
- 30:49SPEAKER_02: Oh shit.
- 30:50SPEAKER_02: Can I just ask, what is the obsession?
- 30:52SPEAKER_02: I know the Cotswolds have always been a kind of bougie place, but like, what is this new?
- 30:55SPEAKER_02: It is a new American obsession with the Cottsworlds.
- 30:58SPEAKER_02: I'm like, guys, it's really not that great.
- 31:02SPEAKER_02: But it is lovely, but but I mean, I'd still rather go to like Bermuda.
- 31:08SPEAKER_02: The night before Christmas, but spelt like night, like a night.
- 31:13SPEAKER_02: Like a soldier night.
- 31:14SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 31:14SPEAKER_02: A Christmas prince, the princess switch, crown for Christmas.
- 31:18SPEAKER_02: Okay, you could come up with some of these.
- 31:20SPEAKER_02: Holiday in the wild.
- 31:21SPEAKER_02: Lost at Christmas.
- 31:22SPEAKER_02: Couldn't come up with that.
- 31:23SPEAKER_02: Lost in Christmas.
- 31:24SPEAKER_02: Also, single all the way.
- 31:28SPEAKER_02: Story of my life.
- 31:31SPEAKER_02: Love at the Christmas table.
- 31:33SPEAKER_02: Basketball, um, frickin' Dave Franco in.
- 31:35SPEAKER_02: Oh no, I thought that was great.
- 31:37SPEAKER_01: I spoke about this in my subsite this week.
- 31:40SPEAKER_02: By the way, I'm obsessed with Dave Franco and his wife, Alison Bree.
- 31:43SPEAKER_02: Yeah, they're so great.
- 31:44SPEAKER_02: They're so great.
- 31:45SPEAKER_02: They're such weirdos and they're so obsessed with each other.
- 31:47SPEAKER_02: But did you ever see that video of them leaving?
- 31:49SPEAKER_02: It was like some kind of Pilates class or like a hit class, and he's obviously really thirsty, doesn't have any water.
- 31:54SPEAKER_02: So he takes her sweat towel, rings it out, and there's photos of him drinking the water.
- 31:59SPEAKER_02: Are you?
- 32:00SPEAKER_02: No, I'm not joking.
- 32:01SPEAKER_02: I've linked it in my subset guys, so if you want to see it, it's disgusting.
- 32:04SPEAKER_01: I know, like created like a whole frenzy online.
- 32:07SPEAKER_02: How yeah, because that's insane.
- 32:10SPEAKER_02: Also, like doesn't sound hydrating.
- 32:12SPEAKER_02: No, like so salty.
- 32:14SPEAKER_02: Surely it's just gonna dehydrate you more.
- 32:16SPEAKER_02: I know.
- 32:16SPEAKER_02: They're like almost too obsessed with each other.
- 32:19SPEAKER_02: That feels like unhealthy.
- 32:20SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I don't want to be drinking anyone's different ways.
- 32:24SPEAKER_02: I mean, I would drink your sweat if we like that to survive like on a desert island and gently laughing at your milking me so hot.
- 32:42SPEAKER_02: Okay, let me ask you, let me ask you a question.
- 32:45SPEAKER_02: So if let's say we were on a desert island I can't deal with you laughing, laughing anyway.
- 32:52SPEAKER_02: Um, if we were on a desert island and we were gonna die, and I was like to you, listen, sounds good.
- 33:01SPEAKER_02: Well, let's say one of us is gonna die.
- 33:03SPEAKER_02: Okay, but and the other one, actually, actually, no, we're both on the verge of death.
- 33:09SPEAKER_02: No, no, no, wait, I change it again.
- 33:11SPEAKER_02: We both die.
- 33:13SPEAKER_02: No, wait, no, no, none of us die.
- 33:16SPEAKER_02: And I'm nearer to death.
- 33:17SPEAKER_02: Okay, and I say to you, you could eat some of my flesh.
- 33:23SPEAKER_02: You made this up.
- 33:25SPEAKER_02: It's not obvious.
- 33:27SPEAKER_02: I say to you, you can eat some of me, and that'll keep you alive.
- 33:32SPEAKER_02: But you're the one that's on the nearly dying, but you're closer to death.
- 33:35SPEAKER_02: So would you?
- 33:36SPEAKER_02: So you said save yourself by ending my life.
- 33:39SPEAKER_02: By eating my flesh.
- 33:40SPEAKER_02: If I eat your flesh, you die, but I survive.
- 33:44SPEAKER_02: Of sepsis from the bite marks.
- 33:46SPEAKER_02: How do I eat your flesh?
- 33:47SPEAKER_02: I really don't ignore it.
- 33:50SPEAKER_02: You just take a little chomp.
- 33:56SPEAKER_02: I don't think I could.
- 33:58SPEAKER_02: No, and I think even if you tried, your little teeth wouldn't be able to do it.
- 34:03SPEAKER_02: No, because apparently human flesh is quite tough.
- 34:06SPEAKER_02: Oh, really?
- 34:07SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 34:08SPEAKER_02: Army hammers.
- 34:08SPEAKER_02: That's Army Hammers.
- 34:09SPEAKER_02: No, I'm joking, joking.
- 34:10SPEAKER_02: Do you remember that podcast you did with Louis Thoreau and his PR team came off so badly?
- 34:16SPEAKER_02: No, I didn't listen to it.
- 34:17SPEAKER_02: Oh my god, Jules, you have to listen to it.
- 34:19SPEAKER_02: It's honesty insanity.
- 34:20SPEAKER_02: Like, what do you think?
- 34:21SPEAKER_02: Like just the way his PR has told, or if he has PR, I don't know, but the way someone has told him to defend himself is like the craziest thing in the world.
- 34:32SPEAKER_02: Like, what's he doing?
- 34:34SPEAKER_02: He was basically trying to defend the like kinky side to whatever he was doing.
- 34:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 34:39SPEAKER_02: I mean, obviously he's not eating people, he's not accountable, but um, you know, obviously how those things came out that like it wasn't like consensual, like BDSM or whatever.
- 34:49SPEAKER_02: But anyway, he was giving like the metaphor of like the deep kinkiness that he has as like a beach ball, but you know how like American he is, and he's like such like a schmoozer, and he's like, I have this metaphor for it.
- 35:01SPEAKER_02: And he is basically saying that if you have a beach ball and you're trying to push it under the water and you keep trying to push it under the water, keep trying to push it under the water, but like it's obviously really difficult to, and then at some point it just like explodes up.
- 35:12SPEAKER_02: And basically he was saying that's what happened to him, so he was like repressing, repressing all this kinky, all this kinky shit he liked, and then at some point it just like all blew up, and I was like, but are you saying that then like the non-consensuality was fine?
- 35:26SPEAKER_02: They just like blew up and you couldn't control it, you just can control wanting to eat people, like I don't really understand what you're saying here, and Louis just there, like, uh you know how kinks are all like formulated from like essentially your childhood.
- 35:41SPEAKER_02: Um kind of no, yeah.
- 35:43SPEAKER_02: So like um all of your kinks are basically like a weird learning or like coping mechanism that you've like made from something that's happened to you as a child.
- 35:50SPEAKER_02: So, like, for example, a really obvious one is like it's not really kinky, but like if you have like a thing for older men, like often to do with like daddy issues.
- 35:59SPEAKER_02: So I wonder what the thing in his childhood was that meant that he found it, it like uh turned him on to like gnaw at people.
- 36:09SPEAKER_02: Sorry, I just love the word gnaw.
- 36:12SPEAKER_02: Well, you know what the answer would be if you were on a desert island with Army Hammer.
- 36:16SPEAKER_02: Well, I'd be running away.
- 36:19SPEAKER_02: Running away.
- 36:20SPEAKER_02: You wouldn't be able to on the verge of death.
- 36:21SPEAKER_02: Well, I just succumb then finally let that beat fall out.
- 36:30SPEAKER_02: Anyway, I think we were talking about the cotzold.
- 36:37SPEAKER_01: Oh god, yeah.
- 36:38SPEAKER_02: Um heat wave behaviour, heat wave behaviour, yeah.
- 36:41SPEAKER_01: Heat wave behaviour.
- 36:42SPEAKER_02: I really could do the drink.
- 36:43SPEAKER_02: Yeah, let's go make one.
- 36:45SPEAKER_02: We deserve it.
- 36:46SPEAKER_02: Yeah, everyone's about to come around, we've gotta make guacamole.
- 36:49SPEAKER_02: Amanda would be so upset.
- 36:50SPEAKER_02: Yeah, well, this is gonna be a slightly shorter one, but we're gonna have some few live segments from the reunion, so which everyone wants to hear, mostly my mum.
- 37:00SPEAKER_02: And you're invested.
- 37:02SPEAKER_02: No, my mum's like, why do you keep talking about it?
- 37:04SPEAKER_02: Oh no, my mum doesn't care and my mum doesn't care at all.
- 37:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 37:07SPEAKER_02: But they're gonna listen to it.
- 37:09SPEAKER_02: Yeah, of course.
- 37:10SPEAKER_02: Okay, bye.
- 37:11unknown: Bye.
- 37:14SPEAKER_03: Hello, you've reached the No Country for Hot Girls podcast.
- 37:19SPEAKER_03: Please leave a message after the time.
- 37:30SPEAKER_02: Okay, guys, stop talking.
- 37:34SPEAKER_02: Sorry.
- 37:35SPEAKER_02: Okay, so I just want to do a round robin of how everyone's feeling.
- 37:39SPEAKER_02: Okay, I'm feeling nervous and excited.
- 37:45SPEAKER_02: What do you say to the naysayers who say this is a load of tripe that they clearly haven't lived, and that they should get to know Bravo because it's just incredible.
- 37:55SPEAKER_00: Can we just have a moment for our king, Andy Cohen?
- 37:58SPEAKER_00: Can we raise a glass?
- 38:00SPEAKER_00: Raise a glass working man on the planet.
- 38:03SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 38:04SPEAKER_00: So Andy Cohen.
- 38:06SPEAKER_00: No one does it better.
- 38:07SPEAKER_00: And he's got better with age.
- 38:09SPEAKER_00: He has you know what I fancy Andy Cohen.
- 38:13SPEAKER_00: I think he's hands- is he single?
- 38:15SPEAKER_02: I think so.
- 38:16SPEAKER_02: Oh I don't appreciate the pink suit.
- 38:19SPEAKER_02: I don't want to put that on record, but there you go.
- 38:21SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna get hate.
- 38:23SPEAKER_02: This is not a gay hate coin.
- 38:26SPEAKER_02: So she is actually on the record.
- 38:28SPEAKER_02: Okay, guys, I think you've got the energy.
- 38:30SPEAKER_02: You get it.
- 38:31SPEAKER_02: Hopefully you can feel it through the mic.
- 38:33SPEAKER_02: Um, all right, well we'll um touch in again next week anyway.
- 38:37SPEAKER_02: Love you guys.
- 38:37SPEAKER_02: Bye.
