- 0:00Speaker 1: She's on the Money.
- 0:02Speaker 2: She's on the Money. Hello, and welcome to She's on
- 0:14Speaker 2: the Money's Friday Dreams. Now, this episode is definitely not
- 0:18Speaker 2: as financially literate as every other episode that you probably
- 0:22Speaker 2: would expect from us, and hopefully by now you've got
- 0:24Speaker 2: used to the Friday dream of vibes. This week, I'm
- 0:27Speaker 2: joined by Ryan John as a last I has never
- 0:30Speaker 2: missed an episode, Jessica Rici, who again has never missed
- 0:34Speaker 2: a Friday Drinks episode, and who has missed a Friday
- 0:37Speaker 2: Drinks episode. Gee King on Tour is not here to
- 0:41Speaker 2: join us today, and she actually has a cold and
- 0:46Speaker 2: decided that recording with her voice in such a state
- 0:49Speaker 2: wasn't a good idea. But alas, we will carry on
- 0:52Speaker 2: and carry the mood on our own. This week has
- 0:54Speaker 2: been a stellar week. I believe we heard from a
- 0:57Speaker 2: seven year old investing wizard, I would say on Monday,
- 1:01Speaker 2: and then on Wednesday we talked about my favorite topic
- 1:03Speaker 2: and that is risk profiling. And I thought I was
- 1:06Speaker 2: really funny with that caption, you know, the episode name
- 1:09Speaker 2: caution preced at your own risk profiling. Anyway, that wasn't
- 1:12Speaker 2: as funny as I thought it was going.
- 1:13Speaker 1: To be and expect the play on words. I don't
- 1:16Speaker 1: know if many people got it.
- 1:17Speaker 2: No, I don't think they got it. But that's okay.
- 1:18Speaker 2: I don't even care. Did you like the episode? Hopefully?
- 1:20Speaker 2: Otherwise I can't do much about it now.
- 1:22Speaker 1: It's actually really important because you do talk a lot
- 1:24Speaker 1: about once you know your appetite for risk, then you
- 1:27Speaker 1: can make the investment. So before you do anything else,
- 1:30Speaker 1: that is a great episode to check out.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Yeah, that is literally the one thing that I talk
- 1:33Speaker 2: about all the time. And you would have heard me
- 1:35Speaker 2: saying like, hey, that might be a good investment for you,
- 1:37Speaker 2: but you need to understand your tenacity to take on risk.
- 1:40Speaker 2: And you be like, well, how do I work that out?
- 1:41Speaker 2: You listen to that episode, my friends. Anyway, this episode
- 1:45Speaker 2: is the Friday Drinks episode, which literally exists to celebrate
- 1:48Speaker 2: our community and all of the fun things they do
- 1:51Speaker 2: and the conversations they have. And this week Ryan hasn't
- 1:54Speaker 2: actually tied me into what's going on yet because it's
- 1:57Speaker 2: been an ongoing dilemma. So a couple of weeks ago,
- 2:00Speaker 2: Ryan said he had a money win that he wanted
- 2:02Speaker 2: to share with us. Jess, Yeah, and he did line. Yeah,
- 2:08Speaker 2: he was kind of like carrot dangling and showing us
- 2:10Speaker 2: a carrot on the stick so that we would want it.
- 2:12Speaker 2: And I hope it's good because it's been really hyped up.
- 2:15Speaker 1: I also hope it's good because the.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Meme explaining all over again.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Hopefully this is better than that.
- 2:20Speaker 2: I hope it's better than that. So, Bryan, how about
- 2:23Speaker 2: we give this person a call?
- 2:29Speaker 3: Hello? This is Lucy speaking.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Hi Lucy, this is Ryan John and Victoria Devine from
- 2:33Speaker 1: She's on the Money. How you doing?
- 2:35Speaker 2: Hi? Good things? How are you guys?
- 2:37Speaker 1: Good? Now? Thanks for finding the time. I know we've
- 2:39Speaker 1: been playing a bit of phone tag for a few weeks. Yeah, yeah,
- 2:42Speaker 1: Now Victoria has no idea.
- 2:44Speaker 2: What's going on, by the way, sitting him blind.
- 2:46Speaker 1: It's a sword of money win. I'm going to read
- 2:48Speaker 1: the comment that you left from the Facebook group and
- 2:50Speaker 1: I'm going to get Victoria to decide if it is
- 2:52Speaker 1: in fact a money win or if it's actually a
- 2:55Speaker 1: bit of a downer, because it's because it could go
- 2:57Speaker 1: either way, you know what I'm talking about. It's a
- 2:59Speaker 1: bit of bus it's a bit of both. Let me
- 3:01Speaker 1: read the message from Lucy. Sad money win, says Lucy,
- 3:06Speaker 1: I've been a pottery teacher in the past, and I
- 3:08Speaker 1: wanted to get back into it as a hobby, as
- 3:10Speaker 1: a mindfulness thing to keep me sane while I'm at UNI.
- 3:13Speaker 1: But the only studio I can get into has bumped
- 3:15Speaker 1: up their membership prices, and so I wouldn't let myself
- 3:18Speaker 1: get a membership because it just costs too much money.
- 3:20Speaker 1: It was already pretty expensive to begin with, so I
- 3:23Speaker 1: think this is kind of a money win. Was it
- 3:25Speaker 1: an annoying decision to have to make, Lucy? It was.
- 3:28Speaker 3: I've been planning it for a while, actually, because I've
- 3:31Speaker 3: gone off pottery for a little while, and then I
- 3:34Speaker 3: wanted to get back into it because I've gone back
- 3:36Speaker 3: to full time UNI, and I was like, I need
- 3:38Speaker 3: something to keep me staying. And pottery has a weird
- 3:40Speaker 3: way of making time slip away in a really mindful way,
- 3:43Speaker 3: so you don't realize that you're spending three hours there
- 3:46Speaker 3: until you're like, oh, I've missed lunched.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Because you have to fully be in it, right, You
- 3:49Speaker 1: can't kind of half pottery. Once your brain's in pottery mode.
- 3:52Speaker 1: I'm guessing you can't think about much else.
- 3:54Speaker 3: Yeah, you really can't. I've tried listening to podcasts. I've
- 3:57Speaker 3: tried talking to people while doing it. It's really really difficult,
- 4:01Speaker 3: but once you actually get into that kind of pottery zone,
- 4:04Speaker 3: it's really nice being there.
- 4:06Speaker 1: So yeah, and now what was the hold on?
- 4:08Speaker 2: Hold on? Hold on? Do I like, do I know
- 4:11Speaker 2: this person? Do I follow them already?
- 4:14Speaker 3: We probably not. I'm in Brisbane, Like, I don't know.
- 4:17Speaker 2: Maybe I'm going to make myself an absolute fool. Do
- 4:19Speaker 2: you make koalas?
- 4:20Speaker 3: I do not? But that sounds very cool.
- 4:25Speaker 2: Okay, that's cool. It's a potter that I follow, and
- 4:29Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure her name's Lucy and she makes these koalas. Anyway,
- 4:34Speaker 2: I just really like pottery, and.
- 4:37Speaker 1: I was really excited.
- 4:40Speaker 3: No, I was actually when I even started thinking about
- 4:43Speaker 3: planning to get back into pottery, I was like, okay,
- 4:45Speaker 3: how can I keep this financially viable? Like I don't
- 4:49Speaker 3: need to earn a profit per se, but I was
- 4:51Speaker 3: thinking about like ways that I could break even because
- 4:53Speaker 3: it's not exactly a cheap hobby.
- 4:55Speaker 1: So I've got I've got a money win and a
- 4:58Speaker 1: money lost to share. The win is Lucy in your name.
- 5:03Speaker 1: I have bought a couple of hundred dollars worth of
- 5:05Speaker 1: membership at the place, so you can go there. It's
- 5:08Speaker 1: all paid for already. Oh my god, you Syria, I am.
- 5:12Speaker 1: I called Vicky, who is very lovely. She works there,
- 5:14Speaker 1: and I organize so you're all set to go.
- 5:17Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, Ryan so much.
- 5:20Speaker 1: What a guy.
- 5:22Speaker 2: I didn't know he did that either, Lucy yep.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Oh my god.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Oh how cute is that.
- 5:28Speaker 1: I feel like you shouldn't have to choose if it's
- 5:30Speaker 1: for you, know, while you're at full time UNI. That's
- 5:32Speaker 1: stressful enough. I feel like you shouldn't have to choose
- 5:35Speaker 1: between the mental health and the money. It just got
- 5:36Speaker 1: too complicated. Let us take care of that for you. Okay,
- 5:40Speaker 1: thank you.
- 5:40Speaker 3: I'm actually crying. Oh my god. Well, I will be
- 5:48Speaker 3: sure to send you some photos of stuff that I make.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Hopefully there's a koala for Victorians.
- 5:53Speaker 2: Can you make me out of my way?
- 5:55Speaker 3: I cannot promise how good it'll be.
- 5:57Speaker 2: I don't even care. Can I Can we put requests
- 6:01Speaker 2: in now? I request a koala? Please?
- 6:05Speaker 3: Okay? I can make you akal.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Hold on, hold on. So that was a money win.
- 6:09Speaker 2: That was an epic and that is actually so kind Ryan,
- 6:12Speaker 2: And you know what I'm not even surprised. I am
- 6:14Speaker 2: not surprised. That is definitely a Ryan John thing to do.
- 6:17Speaker 3: A fantastic team, I know, I.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Know, I do. That is definitely a Ryan thing to do.
- 6:22Speaker 2: But I really want to know why he's saying that
- 6:25Speaker 2: there's also a loss, Like, what cost is this coming?
- 6:29Speaker 1: There's also a money loss? Oh okay, what is that, Lucy?
- 6:32Speaker 1: It's not a money loss for you.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Okay, obvious that's.
- 6:40Speaker 1: It's also not a money loss for me.
- 6:44Speaker 2: Did Ryan get my credit card?
- 6:46Speaker 1: Ryan paid with Victoria's credit card.
- 6:53Speaker 2: I'm not even mad. I am not even mad. I'm
- 6:56Speaker 2: not even mad. I am really happy that you did that.
- 6:59Speaker 2: Thank you, Ryan, Oh, thank you so much.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Thanks me.
- 7:04Speaker 2: You are welcome.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Thank you for both of you, one for paying and
- 7:08Speaker 3: one for orchestrating us.
- 7:09Speaker 2: I'm so grateful that you're in our community. And I'm
- 7:12Speaker 2: also grateful that Ryan steals credit cards. So thank you for.
- 7:15Speaker 1: That, finally the credit I deserve.
- 7:18Speaker 2: You're welcome you, Okay, welcome back to Friday Drinks. That
- 7:28Speaker 2: was actually such a fun chat. I absolutely loved it.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Albeit it turns out my money lost this week. It
- 7:34Speaker 2: turns out I didn't know what was going to be
- 7:36Speaker 2: my money lost, and that is that my credit card
- 7:39Speaker 2: clearly was left out and used by Ryan. And you
- 7:42Speaker 2: know what, I'm not even mad about it. Well worth it.
- 7:44Speaker 2: I'm glad you had to facilitate that, Jessica. Yes, you're
- 7:47Speaker 2: so welcome. You so rude, so so rude. Now, usually
- 7:51Speaker 2: at the start of every episode we introduce what we're drinking,
- 7:54Speaker 2: and last week forgot because it was so good. Jess
- 7:57Speaker 2: tell us what have we been drinking this week?
- 7:59Speaker 4: I'm currently downing a Gordon downing it. Yeah, I'm loving it.
- 8:04Speaker 4: A Gordon's Premium pink gin and Soda. I would like
- 8:08Speaker 4: to preface this with I'm not a big soda person,
- 8:11Speaker 4: like a Gin and Tonic is not my thing, but
- 8:13Speaker 4: this is amazing.
- 8:14Speaker 2: I am really really liking this. This isn't sponsored by
- 8:17Speaker 2: the way. We picked it because it's pink. We picked
- 8:20Speaker 2: it because it is esthetic, it was on brand.
- 8:22Speaker 1: We really liked it.
- 8:27Speaker 2: And it's really good. Like ten of these easily, I'm
- 8:30Speaker 2: loving this. It says where berries meet gin and soda.
- 8:33Speaker 2: We're not mad about this. We're very happy with this Gordon's.
- 8:36Speaker 2: If you want a chat, slide into our DMS. We
- 8:38Speaker 2: are here for this, Jess was saying she wants a
- 8:41Speaker 2: mini fridge stopped with them beside her desk, which as
- 8:44Speaker 2: her employer, I'm not entirely sure. I get behind better
- 8:48Speaker 2: get the preface. I understand why she might want that, and.
- 8:50Speaker 4: I'm not only asking for the drink, I'm also asking
- 8:52Speaker 4: for the fridge, which we don't currently have.
- 8:57Speaker 2: A lot of stretches there. But like, we'll work it
- 8:59Speaker 2: out out, We'll work it out. So my money loss
- 9:02Speaker 2: this week is obviously the credit card switch. I need
- 9:06Speaker 2: to put my wallet in places that people can't get
- 9:09Speaker 2: it or be it. I'm pretty sure it was in
- 9:10Speaker 2: my handbag, so I don't know what we're going to
- 9:13Speaker 2: do there. But Jess, have you got a money loss
- 9:15Speaker 2: or a money win for us to share this week?
- 9:18Speaker 1: Not yet, Ryan, I've got a money loss, and it's
- 9:22Speaker 1: embarrassing for two reasons. One, I did something really creepy
- 9:27Speaker 1: in stalking Hamish Blake and Foster Blake, and it's one
- 9:32Speaker 1: of the most least masculine money losses you'll find.
- 9:36Speaker 2: How would they get involved with your least masculine money loss?
- 9:40Speaker 2: So also, can you just get the gender out of
- 9:43Speaker 2: money loss and confessions? They're not gendered. Thank you.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Well you'll see what I'm getting carry on well, because
- 9:48Speaker 1: it's a very stereotypical male thing to be able to do,
- 9:51Speaker 1: and I was not able to do it.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Is it the way you're holding your pink gin and
- 9:55Speaker 2: soda with your little pinky out.
- 9:57Speaker 1: It's actually pink gin, not just regular JOm.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Sorry sorry.
- 10:00Speaker 1: So Zoe Foster Blake and Hamish Blake are selling their
- 10:03Speaker 1: Richmond house because they've moved to Sydney.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Oh don't even know they lived in Richmond.
- 10:07Speaker 1: They live about one hundred meters from where we are
- 10:09Speaker 1: right now. Yeah, just around the corner. And you know how,
- 10:13Speaker 1: well they currently still own it. And here's the problem.
- 10:15Speaker 1: You know how on like domain or real estate dot
- 10:18Speaker 1: com dot are you when they're like celebrities, they're like
- 10:20Speaker 1: the celebrity couples putting their house up for sale and
- 10:22Speaker 1: they've got photos and stuff like that. Yeah, I thought
- 10:25Speaker 1: I would drive down there and have a look. You're
- 10:27Speaker 1: creep exactly. And I drove into their driveway and I drove.
- 10:31Speaker 2: Drove into their driveway.
- 10:33Speaker 1: Well there's light streets. I needed to turn around. I
- 10:35Speaker 1: was like, oh, then I backed out, drove over a
- 10:38Speaker 1: bottle and blew my tire.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, is that how your tire got done?
- 10:42Speaker 2: You were being a creep. You didn't even tell me. Well,
- 10:45Speaker 2: you knew I had a flat time you had a
- 10:47Speaker 2: flat tire, and that you got it fixed at work.
- 10:48Speaker 2: I didn't realize because you'd driven one hundred meters away
- 10:51Speaker 2: from work, which arguably you could have just parked at work.
- 10:54Speaker 1: And I was on my way to work, and I thought,
- 10:57Speaker 1: I'll just cruise. I'm just curious, gonna have a sticky
- 10:59Speaker 1: beak into their face pop my tire And then a
- 11:01Speaker 1: tire deflated and Victoria, how did I the masculine man
- 11:05Speaker 1: change my tire?
- 11:07Speaker 4: You?
- 11:07Speaker 2: You know what, I can change a tire. So I
- 11:10Speaker 2: was very disappointed to hear that you called for assistance.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Hence, while saying a very you know, inadverted commas non
- 11:19Speaker 1: masculine thing to do that, I paid someone who was
- 11:21Speaker 1: actually a female who worked for who came and changed
- 11:25Speaker 1: my tire. And it was on a public holiday, so
- 11:28Speaker 1: they stung me. Double face. That's my money loss.
- 11:31Speaker 4: Jess, do you have something a bit of a random one,
- 11:34Speaker 4: kind of along the lines of manifesting things into Facebook marketplace,
- 11:37Speaker 4: but just manifesting it's a thing people in the group agree.
- 11:40Speaker 2: With me, all right. Just because people agree with you
- 11:43Speaker 2: doesn't make it right. There are literally Facebook groups that
- 11:46Speaker 2: exist for the flat earth supporters.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Soaday Pete Evans has lots of support. Yeah, lots of.
- 11:53Speaker 2: People follow his advice.
- 11:54Speaker 4: Well, anyway, I've been meaning to buy a new drink
- 11:56Speaker 4: bottle for the office, because hydrate yourself.
- 11:59Speaker 2: I don't if you bought a second hand one on marketplace.
- 12:04Speaker 2: I've been meaning to get a.
- 12:06Speaker 4: Frank Green one because they're really cute. I like the brand,
- 12:08Speaker 4: colors are on point, and I just haven't done it.
- 12:10Speaker 4: And then we went to the Keep It Cleaner event
- 12:12Speaker 4: yesterday and I got one in my good bag for free.
- 12:16Speaker 2: I didn't get a goodie bag. You missed out. You
- 12:19Speaker 2: should have scooped one up. Oh my gosh. No, I
- 12:21Speaker 2: didn't need a goody bag. It's not the color I wanted,
- 12:24Speaker 2: but it's still a cute color. So you're complaining about
- 12:26Speaker 2: the color of the free drink bottle you got, Jessica,
- 12:30Speaker 2: I'll pull my head in. That's my money.
- 12:32Speaker 1: In speaking of people pulling their head in after the
- 12:34Speaker 1: Keep It Cleaner.
- 12:35Speaker 2: Event, I was not one of those people.
- 12:38Speaker 1: Victoria needs to pull her head in because of something
- 12:41Speaker 1: we were discussing after that event. Do you remember what
- 12:44Speaker 1: we talked about? And I said, how was the event
- 12:45Speaker 1: with Steph Claire Smith and Laura and what did we
- 12:48Speaker 1: talk about?
- 12:49Speaker 2: Did I say it was good?
- 12:51Speaker 1: Yeah, but you were annoyed about something.
- 12:52Speaker 2: What was I annoyed about?
- 12:53Speaker 1: You know what I'm talking about?
- 12:54Speaker 2: Actually, don't tell me. Throw me under a bus.
- 12:58Speaker 1: How can someone be that pregnant and still.
- 13:00Speaker 4: Be that I wasn't exact word left my mouth. That
- 13:04Speaker 4: she's beautiful, she's glowing.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Honestly, I am obviously I've seen photos of her pregnant,
- 13:11Speaker 2: but then seeing your impersonal was like such a good mom.
- 13:14Speaker 4: It was responsible for her to get more attractive, and
- 13:17Speaker 4: then there she was in all her glory.
- 13:19Speaker 2: It's not fair. She's an angel and so beautiful, both
- 13:22Speaker 2: of both of them. They're staming girls. I hope they
- 13:26Speaker 2: You know what makes this awkward? Laura listens to the podcast.
- 13:29Speaker 1: Laura, I love you.
- 13:32Speaker 2: We've got a little fangirl over here. But seriously, they're
- 13:35Speaker 2: they're angels. I love them, and they're actual business badasses. Yeah,
- 13:39Speaker 2: like they were talking.
- 13:40Speaker 1: Of the event, they just stole someone from kiss.
- 13:42Speaker 2: Yeah, they did.
- 13:43Speaker 4: Good Good People Still Good People was recorded as well,
- 13:47Speaker 4: so go listen to the Keep It Cleaner pod. It
- 13:49Speaker 4: was a really, really great episode. I obviously watched her
- 13:52Speaker 4: Victoria spoken it and unbiased the stories that were shared
- 13:57Speaker 4: by women. It was for International Women's Day. It was
- 14:00Speaker 4: super empowering. I feel like the people who love us
- 14:02Speaker 4: would love that as well, So definitely check that episode out.
- 14:05Speaker 2: Something that I loved about that chat though, was obviously
- 14:08Speaker 2: empowering women. It was all for International Women's Day, but
- 14:11Speaker 2: also just talking to Stefan Laura about their experience with,
- 14:15Speaker 2: you know, owning a business. And I don't think people
- 14:17Speaker 2: take them as seriously as they need to be taken.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Like they started this empire of theirs, like they run it.
- 14:23Speaker 2: They're the people that call the shots, and.
- 14:26Speaker 1: A lot of people throw the word empire around, but
- 14:28Speaker 1: this is this.
- 14:29Speaker 2: Is a legit empire. This isn't Girl Boss Lady Boss
- 14:33Speaker 2: territory like Ryan was talking about on his YouTube video
- 14:35Speaker 2: the other day. It is legit, like they have an empire.
- 14:39Speaker 2: They have so many different niches I would say, of
- 14:42Speaker 2: their business and is beyond impressive, especially when you start
- 14:45Speaker 2: looking into and going hold on, they do this as well,
- 14:47Speaker 2: and then they do that. It's incredible, but they do
- 14:50Speaker 2: it all themselves, and too many people do not give
- 14:52Speaker 2: them enough credit for that. They always ask, well, well,
- 14:54Speaker 2: who's your business partner or who does the business side
- 14:57Speaker 2: of things? And it's them, Like they are, we're all bosses,
- 15:00Speaker 2: and I love them.
- 15:01Speaker 1: Well, I mean, just to put something on the record,
- 15:04Speaker 1: V You and I often mention them and what they're
- 15:07Speaker 1: up to, and we say how impressive it is. So
- 15:08Speaker 1: I'm just glad we get to say that out loud
- 15:10Speaker 1: as well.
- 15:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I think we should be celebrating the people that
- 15:12Speaker 2: we genuinely think are epic.
- 15:14Speaker 1: Speaking of celebrating, should we go through our favorite money
- 15:18Speaker 1: wins from the group this week?
- 15:19Speaker 2: I would I haven't seen them. When you say ours,
- 15:22Speaker 2: you mean your favorite.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Money wins, I mean from our group.
- 15:26Speaker 2: Yeah, our community's money wins. That's what this episode is about.
- 15:29Speaker 2: There were some good ones this week. I really enjoyed.
- 15:32Speaker 1: If I've missed any, please feel free to add. May
- 15:35Speaker 1: have got to it a bit late. Eliza Evans or
- 15:39Speaker 1: not using last names, Eliza Schmevens says money wins. I
- 15:45Speaker 1: was offered a new role for my dream job, which
- 15:48Speaker 1: resulted in a whopping thirty seven percent pay rights. Whoah last,
- 15:54Speaker 1: she said, even though it's sort of unrelated, I did
- 15:56Speaker 1: the budgeting in pash flow master class that you put out.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Oh really, and she said. I was really empowered and
- 16:02Speaker 1: full of confidence. So I went into the meeting and
- 16:04Speaker 1: said this is what I think I'm I mean and
- 16:06Speaker 1: she got it.
- 16:07Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, I love that.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Shahi says, I got a kilo of chicken thighs the
- 16:10Speaker 1: other day and they charged me for chicken dumbsticks, and
- 16:12Speaker 1: I'd save twelve dollars. I didn't realize there was such
- 16:16Speaker 1: a big difference between the drumsticks and the thighs.
- 16:18Speaker 2: No, I guess there's more mech on a sign.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Caitlin says. My strawberry seedlings absolutely took off this summer.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Popped them on Marketplace and made a few sales.
- 16:28Speaker 2: I love that. I've been buying plants on Marketplace recently. Actually,
- 16:32Speaker 2: I'm very good.
- 16:33Speaker 1: At spending the money.
- 16:35Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm good to be spending money. For those of
- 16:37Speaker 2: you who have seen on my Instagram that I was
- 16:40Speaker 2: looking for an album or stuff, anybody knows what that is.
- 16:44Speaker 2: You know, it's a bit of a Speno plant my
- 16:47Speaker 2: money when in addition to the money when I had
- 16:49Speaker 2: is someone in our Facebook group shout out to Emma
- 16:52Speaker 2: reached out and said, I will send you one. Obviously
- 16:55Speaker 2: I had to pay for it, but it was significantly
- 16:58Speaker 2: discounted in comparison to what they usually are, and she
- 17:01Speaker 2: sent it all the way from cans and for plant
- 17:04Speaker 2: people out there, she sent me clippings of all of
- 17:06Speaker 2: her favorite plants as well, so that I could propagate them.
- 17:09Speaker 1: That was me wrapping up plant Chat.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Plant Chat. That's good. Just we should put that in
- 17:14Speaker 2: as a whole segment a new podcast huts. Yeah, plant chat.
- 17:17Speaker 2: But she's on the money.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Let's make a short course.
- 17:20Speaker 2: Why not. I'm getting the bid.
- 17:23Speaker 1: Shana says, money win, foster the dog. Actually, I don't
- 17:26Speaker 1: know if this is a money win or not.
- 17:28Speaker 2: It's a life win if it had anything to do
- 17:30Speaker 2: with a dog, which is one of my favorite.
- 17:31Speaker 1: Yeah, money win. Fostered the dog. It chewed up a
- 17:34Speaker 1: brand new couch, decided I didn't care and didn't buy
- 17:37Speaker 1: a new one, saved a thousand.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Bucks, a musty win. And she has the love of
- 17:42Speaker 2: a dog.
- 17:43Speaker 1: And a fostered dog.
- 17:44Speaker 2: Yeah, fostering dogs. Is so special.
- 17:46Speaker 1: Is your dog a rescue or a pure?
- 17:49Speaker 2: She's a pure.
- 17:50Speaker 4: Yes, I don't own any pets. My rental doesn't allow them.
- 17:53Speaker 1: Neither do.
- 17:56Speaker 2: I rescued, but I didn't rescue Lucy. I went. I
- 17:59Speaker 2: went for personality and really wanted a puppy.
- 18:02Speaker 1: Are you implying that my dog b J, who is
- 18:05Speaker 1: a rescue, does not have a personality.
- 18:07Speaker 2: I'm absolutely not. I love Bej.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Are you implying that me also a rescue?
- 18:11Speaker 2: It's because you guys were adopted.
- 18:15Speaker 1: Hollywood. That's not a real name.
- 18:17Speaker 2: Just that can't be a real name, Holly. If that
- 18:22Speaker 2: is actually your real name, please let us know.
- 18:24Speaker 1: When I circled this one earlier, it didn't. It only
- 18:27Speaker 1: clicked when I said it out loud. Hollywood says, I
- 18:30Speaker 1: found some amazing discounts on a warehouse sale, and I
- 18:33Speaker 1: saved one thousand and forty dollars worth on beautiful clothes
- 18:37Speaker 1: from b NKR.
- 18:40Speaker 2: Bunker is so expensive, Bunker, so.
- 18:43Speaker 1: It's not BNKR, not that I thought it was.
- 18:46Speaker 2: Okay, Sorry, some of us like fashion.
- 18:50Speaker 1: It's offensive, But a thousand dollars worth of savings by
- 18:53Speaker 1: going to a warehouse sale, that's pretty incredible.
- 18:55Speaker 2: That is pretty good.
- 18:56Speaker 1: Now here's the last one. Now, I think I've had
- 18:58Speaker 1: something similar to this before, and I appreciate the craftiness.
- 19:01Speaker 1: It's by Jessica Berg. She said, I bought a stunning
- 19:03Speaker 1: dress off the Iconic for a black tie wedding coming
- 19:06Speaker 1: up this weekend. A friend asked to see what I
- 19:09Speaker 1: was going to wear, and she goes, oh, I think
- 19:11Speaker 1: I saw that on this website and the website was
- 19:13Speaker 1: forty percent off. What And she's like, oh my god,
- 19:16Speaker 1: I just paid full price for this dress. Like, don't
- 19:18Speaker 1: get me wrong, She's happy with the purchase, but you know,
- 19:19Speaker 1: you see it on sale later. How annoying is that?
- 19:21Speaker 2: It's a bit of a bumer when that happens.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Because she hadn't worn it yet. She returned it, yes,
- 19:27Speaker 1: and then went to the other website and saved forty
- 19:29Speaker 1: percent off and considering as like a black tie event,
- 19:32Speaker 1: I'm guessing you know they're not cheap for a brand
- 19:34Speaker 1: They're not.
- 19:35Speaker 2: And you know what else would be another money win
- 19:37Speaker 2: that I don't think she prefaced in that, because I
- 19:39Speaker 2: did see it. Iconic has free returns, really, so she
- 19:42Speaker 2: wouldn't have even had to pay for a return money winner,
- 19:46Speaker 2: and we have a code in a Facebook group for
- 19:48Speaker 2: that as well. So actually, yeah, we do.
- 19:50Speaker 4: I think it's if you spend, if you're spending over
- 19:52Speaker 4: one hundred dollars, you get twenty bucks off, which is
- 19:54Speaker 4: pretty good.
- 19:54Speaker 1: That's my twenty Do we know what the code is?
- 19:57Speaker 2: No, you'll have to take a little link. I'm take
- 19:59Speaker 2: sure you're OK. We'll put it in the show notes
- 20:00Speaker 2: for those of you who want to do some shopping
- 20:03Speaker 2: and you know, maybe have a little money whin of
- 20:05Speaker 2: your own.
- 20:05Speaker 1: All right, that's all I've got. I just want to
- 20:07Speaker 1: shout out that Lucy is just send us a DM.
- 20:10Speaker 2: Lucy sent us a DM.
- 20:11Speaker 1: She said, thank you again for you on Victoria's generosity.
- 20:14Speaker 1: Incredibly touched. Can't wait to make some plans for the
- 20:17Speaker 1: pottery pieces. That's that a little Instagram site hustle.
- 20:21Speaker 2: How cool is it? I'll create it from you, I
- 20:24Speaker 2: will buy her pots, I'll do all of the things.
- 20:26Speaker 2: But how cool is it that we've created this little
- 20:28Speaker 2: community where we can support people like that? I'd makes
- 20:31Speaker 2: my heart so happy?
- 20:32Speaker 1: Does that make her a I'm not going to say
- 20:34Speaker 1: that the lame what was it? A pot dealer?
- 20:40Speaker 2: We are done we are totally done. We hope you
- 20:43Speaker 2: have an absolutely fantastic rest of your Friday. If you're
