- 0:00Speaker: I see all good people.
- 0:02Speaker: What do we got here?
- 0:05Speaker: Our minds are leading the way.
- 0:09Speaker: Like a flashlight before us in our focusing and concentrating minds.
- 0:19Speaker: Being together.
- 0:20Speaker: How lucky we are.
- 0:22Speaker: We are social animals.
- 0:24Speaker: Good to be in groups, communicating, cooperating.
- 0:31Speaker: Being aware of each other in positive ways.
- 0:36Speaker: This is great news rather than what seems to be the usual negativity permeating the whole surface of our world.
- 0:49Speaker: Negative news sells.
- 0:52Speaker: There is the possibility we can use our greater wisdom to help foster better modes of communication, more honest, not just negative, but positive also.
- 1:08Speaker: Not one-sidedness.
- 1:13Speaker: It is balance, cooperation, collaboration, compromise.
- 1:21Speaker: This is the way forth.
- 1:24Speaker: Where do we stand?
- 1:27Speaker: Is a good question for one to begin to ask oneself, especially when one is unsure or one is feeling a sense of negativity or dis-ease, then for sure.
- 1:41Speaker: This is a good place to begin.
- 1:44Speaker: Where is this standing?
- 1:46Speaker: At the foot of one's foundation.
- 1:49Speaker: So one can stand up tall and strong with the support of firmness underneath in a positive, harmonious way.
- 2:00Speaker: This is our methodology.
- 2:04Speaker: This is our practice.
- 2:06Speaker: This is what positive affirmations are for.
- 2:10Speaker: Self-reinforcement.
- 2:13Speaker: This is the energy these different attributes and opportunities or tools offer is to help us in making little steps of self-improvement in one's practice, in one's newly acquiring habituations, one's new habits, one's new ways.
- 2:39Speaker: Growing, seeding, becoming, being here, in the moment of realization, as it explodes into reality, the sparkling energy right here, right now, remembering our breathing, such a simple and longstanding task, mankind, Homo sapiens, and ancestors have been doing for millions of years.
- 3:18Speaker: Some degree taken for granted, part of what we call our autotonic nervous system, our brain stem in particular.
- 3:29Speaker: Science now says that we have at least two brains.
- 3:35Speaker: We have this forebrain system including our brain stem, and then we have the add-ons, and they work very well together, in a harmonious relationship, and have been developing this relationship for millions, tens of millions of years, taking nothing for granted or as little as possible, remembering the majesty of one's own creation, one's DNA, one's mother's contribution, one father's too, one billion base pairs of information from each, making us whom physiologically we are, being prepared, accepting, being receptive to any and everything, being a witness toward all things occurring, so we might gather the best benefits.
- 4:43Speaker: If we view things as negative, then perhaps the connotation is one to dismiss or dispel or to forget or put out of our minds.
- 4:54Speaker: So I'm saying if we look at it with a sense of equanimity and grace, of objectivity, of being a witness, then the opportunity might unfold a little wider, the door, the window open a little further.
- 5:13Speaker: This is what we need to do.
- 5:15Speaker: One needs to fit one's being between, though you need to widen one's perspective.
- 5:24Speaker: These are the simple truths.
- 5:26Speaker: When we think also of one's pulse beating, one's heart squeezing, relaxing, thinking of what this is accomplishing in conjunction with what one has already breathed.
- 5:45Speaker: We have breathing.
- 5:47Speaker: We breathe in, we pause, we breathe out, we pause again, and go through this twenty thousand odd times a day each of us.
- 5:59Speaker: And whilst we're doing this, we also are pulsing around ninety thousand times each.
- 6:09Speaker: Every day we're alive.
- 6:12Speaker: Without a hullabaloo or too much consideration, and yet our brain stems, our first brains when they were developed tens, if not hundreds of millions of years ago, is that which keeps all of this in activity, in action, in working condition, in working order.
- 6:35Speaker: Being present within the context of one's own physicality is our goal.
- 6:42Speaker: If you are here, you have one.
- 6:45Speaker: Being more, remembering the heat emanating from one's chest, from one's torso, from one's activity of breathing and pulsing, remembering this heat exuding through one's skin.
- 7:02Speaker: It is going on simultaneously to these other processes just mentioned.
- 7:10Speaker: When we simultaneously begin thinking of our physicality, the moment develops and begins to have an opportunity to become a seed, a thought of possibilities and potentials and positivity, a seed of virtuosity, you might say, of gaining a wider perspective, of having more often that sense of being a witness and objective because you see the value in such a manner, in such a way of behavior, or in evaluating one's activity or the activities of everything and everyone everywhere.
- 8:06Speaker: We are learning from our experiences or ignoring them or somewhere in between.
- 8:14Speaker: Sometimes we are, sometimes we're not.
- 8:17Speaker: It is through effort we make the greatest degree of changes and assimilations of new habits, of practices, of practicalities, of improvement.
- 8:37Speaker: You hear the stories or read the stories of people doing something every day for many years and they have attained a great gift.
- 8:49Speaker: Wonder why?
- 8:51Speaker: It is because of the effort made.
- 8:54Speaker: It is the time.
- 8:57Speaker: It is the familiarity.
- 9:02Speaker: It is with all the circumstances of all the times multiplied being here now, thinking of these things.
- 9:19Speaker: The music's continuing for another minute.
- 9:22Speaker: Might this be the best day of many of one's life. namaste
