Transcript
- 0:05Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:09access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing
- 0:12genuine. Issues.
- 0:13Brought to you by The Hypnotherapist, Demanded by
- 0:16celebrities, CEOs and even royalty, Adam Cox.
- 0:20These recordings took place live from Adam Smith in London's
- 0:24world famous Harley Street. So get yourself comfortable and
- 0:31enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:38Hi, it's Adam here. And this is a special episode in
- 0:45the sense that because it was my birthday yesterday, I turned 48
- 0:49years old, I thought I would do a special introduction to do
- 0:56something that I don't normally do.
- 0:58And the actual session, the hypnosis session coming up, is
- 1:02all about self acceptance and worthiness.
- 1:06And I would say of all the issues that have been most
- 1:09transforming for me, I would say self acceptance and self
- 1:13worthiness is probably the most important personal
- 1:18transformation that I went through because there was a time
- 1:22where I didn't accept myself and I didn't feel very worthy.
- 1:25And I know what my life was like then and it isn't like that now.
- 1:30So even though the session that you're about to listen to was
- 1:33created for someone else, the reason I'm sharing it on my
- 1:37birthday recorded episode is because I resonate with the
- 1:41message so much. So it's going to take you to a
- 1:45desert and an Oasis, and it uses very important metaphors about
- 1:50mirages and rejuvenation and. Acceptance and wisdom.
- 1:55And even though it was creative for someone else, I think you
- 1:57might get some value from that. But the reason why I'm recording
- 2:01a birthday message is that yesterday I sent an e-mail to
- 2:06people that are on my list about how, Because I'm 48 years old, I
- 2:12thought I would do an offer that I don't normally do.
- 2:16And in fact, the next offer that I do won't be until Black
- 2:19Friday, which is in six months time.
- 2:21So if you've been a listener to the show and you've wondered
- 2:24about what it would be like. To.
- 2:26Work with me. I would say this could be
- 2:29something you might be interested in.
- 2:32So because I'm 48, I thought I would use the number four and
- 2:36eight. So I'm offering four packages of
- 2:42five sessions of 90 minutes at a 25% discount.
- 2:46And the link is going to be in the show notes.
- 2:49And then the eight. So the the 48, the 8 is 8 single
- 2:53sessions at a 40% discount. So if you've wanted to do one
- 2:58session with me, it's worth buying a single session.
- 3:02And if you want to work on something a bit more in depth,
- 3:05then I would recommend that you do the five session package and
- 3:10they're very much based on 90 minutes and I launched my 90
- 3:13minute packages at the beginning of April.
- 3:16So I've had about six weeks experience of that.
- 3:19And what I will share with you is that working with clients
- 3:22over 90 minute sessions rather than 60 minutes has given me a
- 3:26lot more time to be a lot more thorough and to make the
- 3:29hypnosis sessions longer. So for regular listeners, you
- 3:32may have noticed that some of the sessions that used to be
- 3:35around kind of like 1920 minutes are getting closer to kind of
- 3:393035 minutes. And those longer sessions come
- 3:43from the 90 minute sessions that I'm doing with clients.
- 3:46So we've got more time to diagnose and then more time to
- 3:49actually do the hypnosis. So if you've always thought
- 3:52about working with me, I would encourage you to look at the
- 3:56show notes. Normally if you're on Spotify or
- 4:00Apple, there's like a more info or more details button.
- 4:03It expands. You can kind of see all the
- 4:04details there. And I'm going to copy and paste
- 4:06the e-mail that went out to my audience yesterday, today on the
- 4:11podcast. And there you're going to see
- 4:13the offers and right at the very bottom, there is now an
- 4:18opportunity that if you have been a regular listener of the
- 4:20show and want to share your thoughts on the show in terms of
- 4:24a video message, there is the ability to do that as well on
- 4:28that same link. So mainly it's about the
- 4:31discounts and there won't be another discount like this until
- 4:34Black Friday in six months time. So if you are wired a little bit
- 4:38like me that you like the value of something connected to some
- 4:43kind of a discount, now is the time to have a look at that.
- 4:46And by all means, you can still work with me in the normal ways
- 4:51at any other time, it just won't be the discount until Black
- 4:55Friday in six months time. So think about that.
- 4:59Have a look at the show notes to find details on that.
- 5:03But in terms of this session of self acceptance and self
- 5:05worthiness, I think you might get some value about that.
- 5:09But to get the most value from the show, I would encourage you
- 5:12to really think about are there any specific areas of your life
- 5:16that you don't accept about yourself or you feel less worthy
- 5:19in certain situations. For example, some people feel
- 5:22very worthy around their friends, but they feel unworthy
- 5:25around colleagues. Or I had a client that felt very
- 5:30worthy at work, they felt really in their element, but around
- 5:32their own family they felt unworthy.
- 5:35So really think about where you feel a lack of worthiness, where
- 5:38you tend to people please. Or try and shift yourself to
- 5:42become palatable to someone else.
- 5:44Then you'll get more value from this session.
- 5:47And to get the maximum value, I would encourage you to find a
- 5:50quiet, comfortable place where you won't be distracted or
- 5:53disturbed. Relax and enjoy the session.
- 6:20Take a deep breath in, and as you breathe in, breathe in that
- 6:30resourceful feeling of calm and relaxation.
- 6:39And as you exhale, give permission to release any
- 6:46feelings of unworthiness, any echoes of rejection or pain.
- 6:55Just allow what isn't useful for you now to feel like it's
- 7:00leaving your body in that outward breath.
- 7:08Breathing in resourceful worthiness and exhaling.
- 7:17That's it. And as you breathe in and
- 7:21breathe out, feel that echoes and emotional baggage of the
- 7:27past is being given permission to be released breath by breath.
- 7:48That's it. And the deeper you breathe, the
- 7:54more relaxed you feel. And the more relaxed you feel,
- 8:00the deeper you breathe. And as your body relaxes, your
- 8:07imagination awakens. I want you to imagine now that
- 8:15you are standing at the edge of something vast.
- 8:22The air is warm against your skin, dry and clean and very,
- 8:29very old. And I want you to imagine that
- 8:35ahead of you stretches a vast desert.
- 8:43Not the harshness of it, but the truth of it.
- 8:49Endless, patient, honest. And I want you to imagine the
- 8:56blueness of the sky. Above the desert there are
- 9:02infinite Blues. But imagine a particular blue
- 9:05that represents the desert sky. Imagine the silence beneath the
- 9:14blue sky, perhaps the feeling of sun on your skin.
- 9:22And you are here exactly as you are, with nothing to defend and
- 9:31everything to discover. And I want you to imagine
- 9:40walking where the sands shift just slightly beneath each step.
- 9:49That's it. Warm through your feet, and with
- 10:03every step forward you go deeper.
- 10:09Not into the desert only, but deeper into yourself, the part
- 10:18of you that is never needed explaining.
- 10:58finding yourself at the Crest of a dune, and below you the desert
- 11:04opens wide. And I want you to imagine seeing
- 11:09shapes of people, figures seated in a loose circle in the shade
- 11:19of something that hasn't grown here for a long time.
- 11:25I want you to imagine seeing your ancestors for many, many
- 11:32generations before. I want you to see your ancestors
- 11:40as they truly were. Complicated, creative,
- 11:47brilliant, sometimes stubborn people who made things.
- 11:55People who survived things. People who, in the middle of
- 12:00their own confusion, still found a way to pass something
- 12:07essential forward to you. See close to the circle, aloe
- 12:25Vera plants that ability to not just survive, but create
- 12:35patterns, connections. And I want you to imagine the
- 12:44elder of your ancestors beckoning you to the circle, a
- 12:54recognition. And they look at you with the
- 13:01kind of look that says, I know exactly who you are and there is
- 13:08nothing here to be ashamed of. A gesture for you to sit.
- 13:19And when you do, the circle grows around you.
- 13:25This is a supportive circle, your ancestors going back
- 13:34millennia, protecting, supporting and nurturing you.
- 13:40It feels that this circle is something you have always been a
- 13:47part of. We have been watching, the elder
- 13:56says. Not with accusation, but with
- 14:01the gentle precision of someone who has studied the lands.
- 14:07The patterns, They tell you. We read patterns, not labels.
- 14:20We know what the desert, what the plants tell us before
- 14:29someone decided to give it a name.
- 14:36And then they begin to name what they see in you, your patterns,
- 14:45your talents, your nature. And they know that tendency you
- 14:57have to put people on a pedestal.
- 15:01How quickly and completely it happened.
- 15:06A glimpse of someone's talent, their confidence, a look the
- 15:14thing they seem to have that you wanted.
- 15:18And suddenly in your mind they were 10 feet tall.
- 15:23Perfect, flawless, invincible. And you were looking up at them,
- 15:35but the elder shakes their head and tells you that the pedestal
- 15:40was never built for them. You are the one who built the
- 15:47pedestal. You built it because you needed
- 15:51something to stand on. It was never for others.
- 15:59It was always for you. Not because you're perfect, but
- 16:06because you are worthy and more than enough.
- 16:12And here, in this ancient light, connect to the truth that you
- 16:19are worthy. That the pedestal was never
- 16:23about them. It was about you.
- 16:29About what you longed to claim for yourself.
- 16:34That creativity, the belonging, the sense of being fully,
- 16:41unapologetically here. And all of those times you put
- 16:52them on the pedestal, the pedestal eventually collapsed,
- 17:02not because your judgements were wrong, but because your
- 17:07judgements and assumptions were just too early.
- 17:13The rug was not pulled. You were standing somewhere that
- 17:18couldn't hold you. Not because you were too much,
- 17:26but because you were not standing on solid foundations.
- 17:34While your foundation is someone else's opinion or judgement, you
- 17:40are never fully safe. When your foundation is your own
- 17:46judgement about yourself, your own acceptance of yourself, you
- 17:53will always feel on solid ground.
- 17:58And something in you, the part that has been running that
- 18:03calculation for years, checking and rechecking whether you are
- 18:09enough, begins to slow, to shift, to change.
- 18:16Like the sands in the desert, you were always the solid ground
- 18:25and you are always what was worth standing upon.
- 18:37The elder starts to talk about how your brain is wired, your
- 18:46creativity, sudden thoughts, new ideas, the excitement that comes
- 18:52from a new thought, the ability to focus on one thing and
- 18:58obsess. The elder tells you this is not
- 19:04a disorder, it's the very architecture of how you create.
- 19:11Every great thing you have made began here in your unique,
- 19:18wonderful mind. I want you to think of that
- 19:24sculpture. Could you really have created it
- 19:30if you were wired differently? It was made from your hands,
- 19:37your ideas, your particular way of seeing the world.
- 19:44You didn't make it fighting against how your mind works.
- 19:50You made it because you harnessed how your mind works.
- 20:03The elder hold your eye contact, telling you that the people who
- 20:10have misread you, called you something you are not, tried to
- 20:18stick labels on you that were never justified.
- 20:25The ones that saw arrogance when there was enthusiasm, rudeness
- 20:31when there was discernment. Their reading of you tells you
- 20:42almost nothing about you. It tells you almost everything
- 20:51about what they needed to believe in that moment.
- 20:56And you do not have to receive what was never yours to claim.
- 21:23I want you to get a sense that you've been wearing a heavy
- 21:27coat. Filled with all.
- 21:30Of the baggage, the excess for your past.
- 21:39But you don't need a coat in a desert.
- 21:43This coat is heavy with your accumulated misreadings,
- 21:48returned assumptions and borrowed shame.
- 21:54Imagine taking off the coat. You don't need it here in the
- 21:59desert. That's it.
- 22:07And those judgements you've made, the fast ones, the ones
- 22:15that put someone on a pedestal before you had seen enough to
- 22:20know. What if you were to delay those
- 22:28assumptions, those judgements, just long enough to know for
- 22:37sure? What if the issue was never
- 22:44making an assumption or a judgement, just making it too
- 22:47soon? You are resourced enough to wait
- 22:55and see. You always were.
- 23:08The elders lead you. Not far away there is an Oasis,
- 23:18Flowing water there in the desert.
- 23:27This is where the camels go to replenish.
- 23:32It's where you can go to replenish.
- 23:38I want you to imagine bathing in the Oasis there in the desert.
- 23:46Palm trees and aloe Vera plants and animals from the desert.
- 23:53But this Oasis is special. The elders call it Soul Oasis.
- 24:05Here in the water, you replenish your soul.
- 24:09Whatever your soul needs most. Hear the waters of the Oasis.
- 24:17Replenish it. If you need resilience, belief,
- 24:25confidence, If you need more creativity, more self
- 24:32acceptance, the waters of the Oasis are where you replenish.
- 24:44Just imagine your body like a power bank being fully charged,
- 24:52but it's not energy, it's a different resource.
- 24:57Whatever resource you need most right now, feel.
- 25:05Feel that feeling of replenishment, and as you feel
- 25:10replenished, you start to Daydream about a future.
- 25:17I want you to see that future version of you, invigorated,
- 25:23excited, pursuing something meaningful.
- 25:29I want you to see that future where the opinions or
- 25:33assumptions of others are insignificant to you.
- 25:40You simply pay it no mind. You have more important things
- 25:45to focus on. I want you to see in that future
- 25:54you withhold judgement until you have enough information to make
- 26:00it. You see the qualities in people,
- 26:09but you do not place them on the pedestal.
- 26:14Instead, on the pedestal is everything you are capable of
- 26:19becoming the future you've always deserved to have, and I
- 26:30want you to feel that you are activating all of the resources
- 26:35to make that future not just possible and not just probable,
- 26:43but inevitable. You know how capable you are,
- 26:50and the clearer you see your future, the more convinced you
- 26:55are that that is where you are heading, with the sense of
- 27:01worthy, deserving, accepting all within.
- 27:12Float towards that future. See that smiling future version
- 27:16of you embracing your qualities, your uniqueness, and not
- 27:24changing or shrinking or downplaying yourself to meet the
- 27:30opinions, judgements or assumptions of anyone else.
- 27:36If you could imagine that future version of you not just
- 27:40surviving but thriving, then let me know by nodding your head.
- 27:48That's it. And that future version of you
- 27:55is your right. Your unconscious choices will
- 28:01steer you towards that direction.
- 28:09Here in the Oasis, you replenish not by taking from somewhere
- 28:15outside, but by returning to what was always yours.
- 28:23The strength that is yours, the focus that is yours, the
- 28:29resilience that has already survived everything that tried
- 28:34to convince you that it was gone.
- 28:40Others reactions to you are not verdicts on you.
- 28:45They are reflections of who they are, not who you are.
- 28:51Shaped by their needs, their fears, their story.
- 28:58And you can be curious about what they carry without needing
- 29:03to carry it yourself. And when Shaman shows you
- 29:11contempt for your generosity, when someone calls something
- 29:17dishonesty, that is the moment to remember.
- 29:26Person who responds to gratitude with aggression is in pain that
- 29:32predates you. You are not it's cause, and you
- 29:38are not responsible for absorbing it.
- 29:44So get permission for full acceptance of yourself, the way
- 29:52your brain is wired, the way you see the world, the things you
- 30:00make, the way you love, and the questions you carry.
- 30:09That's the only armor that actually works.
- 30:13Not because it makes you impenetrable, but because it
- 30:17makes others projections irrelevant.
- 30:22When they try and stick their labels on you, they simply fall
- 30:27off. The common thread in your
- 30:33experience is not fault, it is simply that it is your life and
- 30:43you are in all of it, as everyone is in theirs.
- 30:48But presence is not cause or culpability, and sensitivity is
- 30:57not weakness. Noticing is not the same as
- 31:05being responsible for what you notice.
- 31:11So connect deeply to the healing, rejuvenating waters of
- 31:17the Oasis. Feel fully replenished,
- 31:21resourceful with clarity as to a worthy, deserving future that
- 31:28you are heading towards. You will withheld your judgement
- 31:38until your intuition has seen enough and people show you who
- 31:44they are. Believe them.
- 31:49So it's time to float back from the desert all the way to the
- 31:53present, but taking all of these resources with you.
- 31:58So take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your
- 32:03nose and wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes connecting,
- 32:11calibrating to the here and the now as I now count from 1:00 to
- 32:1810:00 to awaken you starting to count 123 waking up 456 more
- 32:28alert. 7-8. Open your eyes.
- 32:32Open your eyes, 910. Wide awake, wide awake, wide
- 32:38awake. Thank you so much for joining me
