- Cindy Marler: Good morning, everyone. Today we're diving into my favorite book, The Bible. Where is your Bible? All right. So today I want to read to you guys from Ecclesiastes. Ecclesiastes is often known as the book that takes the reader on this quest for the meaning of life. They think that the book was written by King Solomon, but they're not quite sure. But the whole book seems to be about just finding the meaning of life. And isn't that what we are all are trying to do too? So if you're trying to find the meaning of life, dig into Ecclesiastes and see what this author has to say or what his experience was, because he looks through wisdom, he looks through even the madness of life, the craziness. And there is meaning at the end of the quest, right? There always is in every movie. But one of the sections of Ecclesiastes I love, as far as like the ebbs and flows of life, and that I say to myself often comes from Ecclesiastes chapter three. Have no fear, I'm going to read it to you. So it starts chapter three in Ecclesiastes. There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens. A time to be born and a time to die. A time to plant and a time to uproot. A time to kill and a time to heal. A time to tear down and a time to build. A time to weep and a time to laugh. A time to mourn and a time to dance. A time to scatter stones and then a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate. A time for war and a time for peace. And back to the first verse, there is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens. Sometimes we just have to know that, just for today.
