- Jessica Figueroa: Hello, everyone. We're back here with our Just For Today podcast. I hope that you have already had a great start to your day. And what we're doing here is not shaping your life. We're not overpromising and under-deliving some magic pill. All we're doing here today, together, is something that can make just today a little bit better. Because the reality is that's all we have. We really don't have a ton of power to make tomorrow better because we don't know what tomorrow brings. But we do know that we can have. A little bit of an impact on today. So what are we going to do together just for today? Well, just for today, we are going to talk to one of our neighbors. It could be your neighbor at work. It could be your neighbor at in a waiting room. It could be your neighbor that you live near. But we are living life around all of these people and they have so much to share. They have stories and joy and sorrows. So I found myself in a waiting room today. At a doctor's appointment, and a lady sat down next to me. And this is a doctor that I know we all usually have to wait a long time for. And I just struck up a conversation with her. Her name was Nancy. She was lovely. We were in the waiting room for the oncologist's office. Nancy found out that she had breast cancer a year after her daughter had breast cancer. So they actually walked through breast cancer one after the other. And Nancy and I shared the same surgeon. So we got to make jokes about. Dr. Jun Lee, who was our surgeon. We took a selfie together. We both the blouse she was wearing, I actually have in pink. We for about 15 minutes just sat there enjoying each other's company. I may never run into Nancy again, but I thoroughly enjoyed doing life beside Nancy in an oncologist waiting room for 15 minutes. So our neighbors are not just the people we live near. Our neighbors are the people that are around us. Maybe you're waiting in a line. You have neighbors everywhere. And we were meant to share our life with our neighbors. So just for today, we are going to talk to our neighbors. Who is your neighbor? Who is right near you? Who can you strike up a conversation with and learn something about? Because I promise you will receive more than you give when you reach out and talk and enjoy your neighbors. So today, just for today. We're going to communicate with our neighbors to add value to their lives and ours. Go out there and meet your neighbors. I'll talk to you guys tomorrow.
