[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, welcome back to the Result Man Show.
• 0:22
  [SPEAKER_00]: I'm so glad you're here.
• 0:23
[SPEAKER_00]: We're taking a journey through Proverbs, but most importantly, equipping you, helping you, giving you tips to be able, and maybe the motivation, maybe that's all it is.
• 0:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Just a reminder in the motivation in some of the practical tips to go to your family at your table in your living room, wherever it is, and break up in the Bible and teach them wisdom from the Word.
• 0:45
[SPEAKER_00]: It is more important than ever that we're intentional fathers.
• 0:47
[SPEAKER_00]: I know you agree, but taking actions a whole other story.
• 0:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Knowledge without action is almost useless.
• 0:53
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's important we're taking action.
• 0:55
[SPEAKER_00]: God is calling us to really lead our families and disciple a children in the way they should go.
• 1:02
[SPEAKER_00]: And you know what your wife is going to be so pumped when she sees you taking way more initiative in this area.
• 1:09
[SPEAKER_00]: So this episode is really I'm going to give you a taste of how to introduce a book to your family before you dive into the first scripture.
• 1:17
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's important.
• 1:17
[SPEAKER_00]: It's important to give some context to use the author.
• 1:20
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, what's happening here?
• 1:21
[SPEAKER_00]: God inspired them to write this and so forth.
• 1:24
[SPEAKER_00]: This is a big deal.
• 1:25
[SPEAKER_00]: So this is introducing Proverbs to your family.
• 1:29
[SPEAKER_00]: and so King Solomon wrote much of Proverbs, which is great.
• 1:33
[SPEAKER_00]: He's son of King David.
• 1:35
[SPEAKER_00]: So that is the line of Jesus Christ as prophesied.
• 1:40
  [SPEAKER_00]: That's really cool.
• 1:41
  [SPEAKER_00]: There's a legacy happening right now.
• 1:43
[SPEAKER_00]: I know you want to create an amazing legacy.
• 1:45
[SPEAKER_00]: You're not just thinking about life during your lifetime.
• 1:49
  [SPEAKER_00]: You're thinking about a multi-generational
• 1:52
[SPEAKER_00]: legacy and just remember six generations deep of everybody as three kids.
• 1:56
[SPEAKER_00]: It's way over a thousand, it's not way over, but it's about a thousand people, not counting spouses.
• 2:01
[SPEAKER_00]: So it's really important to think about.
• 2:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Wow, the legacy impact here, the greatest way you can impact the world is by impacting your family.
• 2:11
  [SPEAKER_00]: don't forget that.
• 2:12
[SPEAKER_00]: So King Solomon, you know, God asks Solomon what he wants.
• 2:17
  [SPEAKER_00]: This is so cool.
• 2:17
[SPEAKER_00]: So you can reference this.
• 2:19
[SPEAKER_00]: Also in the show notes, we'll have these scriptures.
• 2:21
[SPEAKER_00]: So you can go back if you're driving or something, pull it up real quick.
• 2:24
  [SPEAKER_00]: Resultman.com podcast.
• 2:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Hit the podcast there and you can get these show notes.
• 2:28
[SPEAKER_00]: But first King three five says, at Gibby and the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night, and God said, ask what I shall give you.
• 2:37
[SPEAKER_00]: So he asks Solomon, what he wants?
• 2:39
[SPEAKER_00]: And Solomon asks for wisdom.
• 2:42
[SPEAKER_00]: This is so powerful to teach your family because what are your children asked for in their prayers?
• 2:48
[SPEAKER_00]: What are they going to ask for when they launch from your home in their prayer life with God?
• 2:53
[SPEAKER_00]: Are they going to ask for things?
• 2:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Are they going to ask for wealth?
• 2:56
[SPEAKER_00]: or they can ask for wisdom.
• 2:59
  [SPEAKER_00]: Let's learn from Solomon.
• 3:00
[SPEAKER_00]: First Kings, three Ninces, give your servant, therefore, an understanding mind to govern your people that I may discern between good and evil, for who is able to govern this
• 3:11
  [SPEAKER_00]: your great people.
• 3:13
[SPEAKER_00]: And so Solomon is asking for wisdom and asking for wisdom to govern God's people.
• 3:18
  [SPEAKER_00]: That's pretty cool.
• 3:19
[SPEAKER_00]: God gave him wisdom plus influence.
• 3:21
  [SPEAKER_00]: Check this out.
• 3:22
  [SPEAKER_00]: First Kings 3, 10 through 13.
• 3:24
[SPEAKER_00]: It says, it pleases the Lord that Solomon has asked this.
• 3:28
[SPEAKER_00]: And God said to him, because you have asked this and have not asked for yourself long life or riches or
• 3:35
[SPEAKER_00]: the life of your enemies.
• 3:36
[SPEAKER_00]: But you have asked for yourself understanding to discern what is right.
• 3:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Behold, I now, according to your word, behold, I give you a wise and discerning mind so that none like you has been before you.
• 3:52
[SPEAKER_00]: and none like you shall arise after you.
• 3:54
[SPEAKER_00]: I give you also what you have not asked both riches and honor so that no other kings shall compare with you all your days.
• 4:06
  [SPEAKER_00]: Did you catch that?
• 4:07
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, teaching this to your children is so powerful.
• 4:11
[SPEAKER_00]: Helping them get the motivation and excitement to learn this wisdom.
• 4:16
[SPEAKER_00]: The God poured through Solomon into the pages of the Bible.
• 4:20
[SPEAKER_00]: So Solomon walked with God and then straight into worldliness, learning a lesson.
• 4:25
[SPEAKER_00]: So a lot of people will say, oh, I don't know if Solomon is saved and This kind of thing, but if you look at ecclesiasties, I think it's pretty clear that He learned and turned back to God and that's my hope for Solomon.
• 4:40
[SPEAKER_00]: We don't know for sure.
• 4:42
[SPEAKER_00]: Just like we don't know
• 4:43
[SPEAKER_00]: for sure with anybody, that's between them and God, but I think the Bible does show that Solomon swung back, but he did have a way where life for a while, and I think it's okay and good, profitable actually, to tell children the truth about Solomon.
• 4:58
[SPEAKER_00]: I teach my children this, that he was wayward, that he had an appetite for the world, and it was destructive, and it was harmful,
• 5:07
[SPEAKER_00]: And we're so thankful that it looks like he learned his lesson and came back, but check this out.
• 5:12
[SPEAKER_00]: At Cleasy Assies 12, 11 through 14, the words of the wise are like goats, and like nails, firmly fixed are the collected sayings.
• 5:20
[SPEAKER_00]: They're given by one shepherd, my son, beware of anything beyond these.
• 5:24
[SPEAKER_00]: Of making many books, there's no end.
• 5:26
[SPEAKER_00]: Much study is a weirdiness of the flesh.
• 5:29
[SPEAKER_00]: the end of the matter.
• 5:30
[SPEAKER_00]: All has been heard fear God and keep his commandments for this is the whole duty of man.
• 5:36
[SPEAKER_00]: For God will bring every deed into judgment with every secret thing, whether good or evil.
• 5:41
[SPEAKER_00]: So right here what is after learning everything because what happens to so many young people teenage years and then when they launch from homes even Christian homes.
• 5:49
[SPEAKER_00]: is the world catches on to them.
• 5:51
[SPEAKER_00]: They're constantly learning never arriving at the truth.
• 5:54
[SPEAKER_00]: They're following this way or that way with AI now.
• 5:58
[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of studies showing AR having a massive influence, negative influence on people cementing and wrong beliefs in all kinds of things.
• 6:06
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so this is just the beginning.
• 6:09
[SPEAKER_00]: And once people really, really trust AI, which they already do, it seems like across the board if the agenda shift or they want to pursue an agenda, they can sway a populist and certain directions with that technology.
• 6:22
[SPEAKER_00]: So it's really important that you're equipping your children not to be like that to learn from King Solomon.
• 6:28
[SPEAKER_00]: And he went all the different ways.
• 6:30
[SPEAKER_00]: Kings were coming to him and learning from him and so forth.
• 6:33
[SPEAKER_00]: And he experienced all that the world had to offer and it was for nothing.
• 6:37
[SPEAKER_00]: And he says the end of the matter, all has been her fear God and keep his commandments.
• 6:41
  [SPEAKER_00]: That's it.
• 6:42
  [SPEAKER_00]: That's all the matters.
• 6:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Not all the many books there is no end.
• 6:46
[SPEAKER_00]: And much study is awareness of the flesh.
• 6:47
[SPEAKER_00]: It's saying, all the study outside of the Bible, all these different things now.
• 6:51
[SPEAKER_00]: It's good to learn things.
• 6:52
[SPEAKER_00]: But studying other so-called truth isn't profitable.
• 6:56
[SPEAKER_00]: and that's what he's talking about here.
• 6:57
[SPEAKER_00]: It's all that matters is if you're gone and keep his commandments.
• 7:02
  [SPEAKER_00]: So that's really powerful.
• 7:03
[SPEAKER_00]: So goads by the way in that scripture, the words of the wise are like goads, goads are appointed stick to prod oxen forward.
• 7:10
[SPEAKER_00]: So that's a cool thing while plowing.
• 7:13
  [SPEAKER_00]: Wisdom isn't always comfortable.
• 7:14
[SPEAKER_00]: So here's a teaching moment you could say.
• 7:16
  [SPEAKER_00]: Wisdom isn't always comfortable.
• 7:17
[SPEAKER_00]: But it keeps us on the right path, don't seek comfort, seek truth, don't seek what's easy, seek what God wants you to do, which is often not easy.
• 7:26
[SPEAKER_00]: These are little sayings, little things you can teach your family, and then nails.
• 7:31
[SPEAKER_00]: Like nails firmly fixed or the collected sayings, they're given by one shepherd.
• 7:35
[SPEAKER_00]: So nails are like an anchor.
• 7:37
  [SPEAKER_00]: They hold things together.
• 7:39
[SPEAKER_00]: Drive wisdom deep into you like nails into a piece of wood.
• 7:44
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, there's an analogy right there.
• 7:46
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's really powerful.
• 7:47
[SPEAKER_00]: It's that we want to saturate our minds and hearts with the Bible and with biblical truth.
• 7:51
  [SPEAKER_00]: Teach your family that.
• 7:52
[SPEAKER_00]: And collected sayings are the holy scriptures from God in that scripture.
• 7:57
[SPEAKER_00]: and all that matters is fear gotten a ban.
• 7:59
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that is so crucial.
• 8:01
[SPEAKER_00]: The most powerful, wealthiest king that is probably ever existed.
• 8:06
[SPEAKER_00]: Some people say he might have been worth $2 trillion in today's dollars.
• 8:09
[SPEAKER_00]: So who knows, for sure, but Solomon's accomplishments, if you want to share this with your family, kind of interesting.
• 8:15
[SPEAKER_00]: He wrote over a thousand songs.
• 8:17
[SPEAKER_00]: He authored three books in the Bible.
• 8:18
[SPEAKER_00]: Of course, God inspired him with those words, those are God's words.
• 8:22
[SPEAKER_00]: You always want to clarify that.
• 8:23
[SPEAKER_00]: Ruelers from around the world came to learn from him.
• 8:26
[SPEAKER_00]: He built the first temple in Jerusalem, built many cities, constructed of fleet of ships.
• 8:31
[SPEAKER_00]: He had vast wealth, maintained peace, well-king.
• 8:34
  [SPEAKER_00]: There was
• 8:35
[SPEAKER_00]: There wasn't warring happening and likely the richest man who ever lived even today.
• 8:38
[SPEAKER_00]: So really interesting in what did he point to?
• 8:41
[SPEAKER_00]: He pointed to God and no being him.
• 8:43
  [SPEAKER_00]: I think that's pretty powerful.
• 8:44
[SPEAKER_00]: Now I'm going to give you some details of things to this share with your children and a resolute man tip in a second.
• 8:50
[SPEAKER_00]: But I just want to take a moment to talk about prevenics.
• 8:53
[SPEAKER_00]: Prevenics are the vitamins I've been taking for about six weeks now.
• 8:57
  [SPEAKER_00]: And I'm telling you, it's revolutionized.
• 8:59
[SPEAKER_00]: my energy, my alertness, and so forth.
• 9:02
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to share a couple things.
• 9:03
[SPEAKER_00]: I've been taking the brain health vitamins from them, and the multivitamin.
• 9:07
[SPEAKER_00]: And I think those together have been so powerful for me, just the energy before this had some brain fog, lots of it.
• 9:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes lack of clarity, slower and decision-making.
• 9:17
[SPEAKER_00]: I used to be much quicker, and my memory, especially since I got hit a year ago, in the head several times by some gang of thugs or whatever.
• 9:25
  [SPEAKER_00]: But it, it, uh,
• 9:27
[SPEAKER_00]: It is wild, the change I'm experiencing, this is the first time I've ever experienced change from vitamins.
• 9:32
[SPEAKER_00]: I always thought you just took them because, you know, I'm supposed to, we're not getting this stuff from our new treats.
• 9:36
[SPEAKER_00]: So for what I understand that conceptually, but I don't really felt any difference from any vitamins I took in my life is like understanding of health and nutrient nutrients.
• 9:45
[SPEAKER_00]: She's always giving me the best stuff she can find.
• 9:47
[SPEAKER_00]: None of it compares to this line by line when you go through the nutrients, because I was so intrigued with the change,
• 9:55
[SPEAKER_00]: and lying by line he compared things we were taking compared to his stuff and a lot of of him are synthetics.
• 10:03
[SPEAKER_00]: The level of the nutrient in the vitamin isn't adequate for the human body and they might have a couple good ones but a slew of not good ones synthetic not the really you know good stuff because the good stuff lying by line if you do everything really good
• 10:18
  [SPEAKER_00]: there's an expense there.
• 10:19
[SPEAKER_00]: So, but these vitamins are about the same price as high quality vitamins elsewhere, but they're far better.
• 10:25
  [SPEAKER_00]: I'm experiencing the difference.
• 10:26
[SPEAKER_00]: If you want to experience the difference, you want more clarity, more energy, you want to think quicker, quicker decisions.
• 10:32
[SPEAKER_00]: I just literally feel like I can take on more.
• 10:35
[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm capable more, and I think that God is doing something in me right now.
• 10:38
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't give 100% of the credit to vitamins, of course, but I think that, you know, with the church plant happening right now, the Result Man Podcasts back, still doing the cradied parenting show, all the different things that are going on, and some other things that you might find out about soon.
• 10:53
[SPEAKER_00]: I just feel way more capable, way more energy, way more positive in all these things.
• 10:58
[SPEAKER_00]: Of course, the Holy Spirit in God is most of that, but I think he brought this in my sights.
• 11:02
[SPEAKER_00]: Preven X is the sponsor of the Resume Man Show.
• 11:05
[SPEAKER_00]: There is no Resume Man Show without Preven X.
• 11:07
  [SPEAKER_00]: So thank them.
• 11:08
  [SPEAKER_00]: for that.
• 11:09
[SPEAKER_00]: And I would never promote something unless I experienced the massive benefit from it because I would only want you to have massive benefit for any dollars you spend.
• 11:16
  [SPEAKER_00]: So, prevenx.com use RM15 to get 15% off.
• 11:21
  [SPEAKER_00]: That's prevenx.prv-i-n-e-x.com.
• 11:26
[SPEAKER_00]: Use the code RM15 and you'll be on the right path.
• 11:30
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, Proverbs is pure wisdom that's trustworthy.
• 11:33
[SPEAKER_00]: So, teach us to your kids.
• 11:35
  [SPEAKER_00]: He was imperfect.
• 11:36
  [SPEAKER_00]: like all of us.
• 11:37
[SPEAKER_00]: So I like talking about how God used imperfect people because are your children always going to be imperfect?
• 11:44
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, because all of us are.
• 11:46
[SPEAKER_00]: But you want them to believe God can use them even though they are imperfect.
• 11:50
[SPEAKER_00]: They're trying to live rightfully and because of Jesus Christ, God views them in saints and fully capable.
• 11:57
  [SPEAKER_00]: So God is perfect.
• 11:58
  [SPEAKER_00]: He used Solomon.
• 11:59
[SPEAKER_00]: It's another point you can share with them, and God will use you too, and God wants to give you wisdom.
• 12:06
[SPEAKER_00]: This is something I would be telling my children as I'm introducing the book of Proverbs.
• 12:12
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, you want to pursue wisdom.
• 12:14
  [SPEAKER_00]: And here's a question.
• 12:15
[SPEAKER_00]: So remember the prayer acronym.
• 12:17
[SPEAKER_00]: is to promote what you're about to teach.
• 12:19
[SPEAKER_00]: So we're promoting the book by talking about the scriptures I just talked about and teaching a little about nails and goods and wisdom and things and about Solomon and all the books he wrote in the wise and what a big God and fear God.
• 12:29
[SPEAKER_00]: There are two most important things, so that's the promotion of the whole book as you're starting this thing.
• 12:33
[SPEAKER_00]: And then, so that's the P, and then read the scriptures.
• 12:35
[SPEAKER_00]: I just showed you scriptures to read, to introduce the book, and then ask questions.
• 12:39
  [SPEAKER_00]: That's the A.
• 12:40
[SPEAKER_00]: And here's some questions you can ask.
• 12:42
  [SPEAKER_00]: So, pursue wisdom.
• 12:43
[SPEAKER_00]: What's an example of God's wisdom versus worldly wisdom?
• 12:46
[SPEAKER_00]: I always like to tie into the worldly wisdom of today of that's happening, that they may get caught up in and comparing that to God's wisdom.
• 12:55
[SPEAKER_00]: And if they don't think of anything, you still ask the question, because it gets their minds thinking.
• 12:59
  [SPEAKER_00]: That's what you want.
• 13:00
[SPEAKER_00]: You want to create thinkers and critical thinkers and, you know, be able to contrast biblical wisdom with worldly wisdom at a young age and you want to help them exercise that muscle.
• 13:10
[SPEAKER_00]: So even if they can't answer it because they're like four, five, and seven, that's okay.
• 13:14
  [SPEAKER_00]: Ask the question still.
• 13:16
  [SPEAKER_00]: It provokes the mind.
• 13:17
[SPEAKER_00]: Even if you then come in and answer or your wife comes in and answers it, which is beautiful after a little pause.
• 13:22
[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, let the pause exist.
• 13:24
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what gets their mind going.
• 13:26
  [SPEAKER_00]: Fear God, okay?
• 13:27
[SPEAKER_00]: What's the difference between regular fear and fear and God?
• 13:31
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, the answer is they actually are two different words.
• 13:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Fear is a dread fear of fear of the world, fear of anxiety, you know, something that causes anxiety, concern these kinds of things.
• 13:41
  [SPEAKER_00]: That's a kind of a dread fear.
• 13:43
[SPEAKER_00]: And then the fear of God is more of a reverent fear, more of a respect for God's authority,
• 13:53
[SPEAKER_00]: love and it's a heart posture of wanting to obey him.
• 13:56
[SPEAKER_00]: So that's the difference and the Bible does use the word fear a lot and we're not to fear anything we're only to fear God but that can be confusing to kids so you want to constantly be teaching them that I teach my kids that a lot.
• 14:07
  [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, obey.
• 14:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Why do we obey God?
• 14:10
  [SPEAKER_00]: There's a really simple question.
• 14:12
  [SPEAKER_00]: Your kids can answer.
• 14:13
[SPEAKER_00]: So there's three questions you could ask.
• 14:15
[SPEAKER_00]: You can use one, two or three of them.
• 14:17
  [SPEAKER_00]: Here's, I hope you do that.
• 14:19
  [SPEAKER_00]: Do that.
• 14:19
[SPEAKER_00]: Introduce the book with your family.
• 14:21
[SPEAKER_00]: And then, you know, of course, the acronym pray.
• 14:23
[SPEAKER_00]: The last one is your and you should continue to your and to know more about the word of God to saturate your mind with it and your heart with it.
• 14:31
[SPEAKER_00]: One of the best ways to do it is to be teaching your family.
• 14:34
[SPEAKER_00]: It's wonderful, but want to be a biblistist.
• 14:37
[SPEAKER_00]: Want to be a man of God that understands how to wield the sort of spirit well.
• 14:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, here's a tip from episode three and you should go back and listen to this.
• 14:45
  [SPEAKER_00]: Accelerating change requires decisiveness.
• 14:48
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so lack of timely decisions, let's harm accumulate.
• 14:52
[SPEAKER_00]: So timely decisions, because of the change in the world's happening so much faster, you have to make proactive decisions before they're needed way faster than ever before.
• 15:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Decisiveness is required to win the spiritual battle.
• 15:04
[SPEAKER_00]: If years allow things to exist and don't make decisions, good decisions, and wise counsel, and praying, and so forth, being in the word here and from the Holy Spirit,
• 15:12
[SPEAKER_00]: You might be losing the spiritual battle with your family.
• 15:14
[SPEAKER_00]: See, eroding masculine decisiveness is part of a larger push towards societal control.
• 15:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Just look at what happened in COVID as an example.
• 15:23
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't need to talk more about it.
• 15:24
[SPEAKER_00]: But the normal bad cycle of indecision is warning signs appear, they're ignored.
• 15:31
[SPEAKER_00]: Problem escalates, causing real pain and there's some action and some act, but many still don't.
• 15:37
[SPEAKER_00]: And then the non-decision now controls your circumstances because it's too late, almost to make a decision.
• 15:42
[SPEAKER_00]: And a decision is made for you that's inferior to what you could have made.
• 15:46
[SPEAKER_00]: You don't want to be like that.
• 15:47
[SPEAKER_00]: So, test recovery becoming more decisive.
• 15:49
