- 1:07Donna J. Jodhan, LLB, ACSP, MBA: Hello, I'm Donna Jodhan and welcome to my March podcast where I talk about
- 1:17customer care versus company revenue.
- 1:22You know, this is a topic that is near and dear to my heart.
- 1:29And I say this because so many times I have interesting conversations with customer
- 1:38agents on the phone and we talk about, you know,
- 1:42customer care versus company revenue.
- 1:46All right, how does a company find a meaningful balance?
- 1:56Between customer care and company revenue?
- 2:02Again, customer care and company revenue.
- 2:07All right. How do they find a meaningful balance?
- 2:13To provide adequate customer care while at the same time they want to maintain
- 2:23and expand their revenue.
- 2:27What are the benefits to both?
- 2:29Well, let's let me look at this a little bit in depth.
- 2:34Customer care is really important to those of us on the other side of the fence.
- 2:40When an agent takes the time and effort to offer great customer care,
- 2:48great concern, the ability to go beyond and above the call of duty.
- 2:55But then again, they have to be concerned when their company says,
- 3:00you've only got a few minutes to spend on each customer.
- 3:06How can a customer agent provide adequate customer care when their company is breathing
- 3:15down their necks, saying, you must not exceed a certain number of
- 3:21minutes when dealing with a customer?
- 3:25What happens then if the number of minutes expires and the customer is still wanting
- 3:35more help. What should a customer agent do?
- 3:42I really don't know. I wonder if anybody knows.
- 3:47Is there a balance? Is there really a balance?
- 3:52Customer care versus company revenue.
- 3:57I'd like to know. Okay.
- 4:01This is it for me for this week.
