Transcript
- 0:01In order for your ex to come back, they have to realize they
- 0:04lost you, and they can't feel or realize they lost you until they
- 0:09actually lose you. They can't feel the loss if
- 0:13you're still indirectly showing them that you're interested and
- 0:18giving them hope that you'll take them back in a second.
- 0:21Hi, this is Lucia with The Art of Love.
- 0:23I'm a dating and relationship expert specializing in helping
- 0:26you get your ex back or to get over your ex and I have a
- 0:30special announcement if you try to contact me via my website
- 0:34theartoflove.net using the contact form.
- 0:38I did not get your e-mail if you contacted me using that form in
- 0:42the last two weeks. We just found out there was an
- 0:45issue. It's now been fixed, so please
- 0:49contact me again using the link underneath every single video
- 0:54and podcast. And that is the art of
- 0:57love.net/coaching if you would like to get some coaching.
- 1:00And I apologize for the inconvenience.
- 1:03And welcome back my beautiful no contact Army.
- 1:06Have you been a good little soldier?
- 1:08Hopefully you've stayed in no contact and you've used my
- 1:12Silencio app to help you stay in no contact.
- 1:16And of course, the link to that is underneath every single video
- 1:18and podcast. And if you too would like to
- 1:20join our beautiful and no contact army, all you have to do
- 1:23is hit the subscribe button and the bell notification and you're
- 1:28in. And to read our manual, go to
- 1:30nocontactsecrets.com where you can read 2 free chapters before
- 1:34you purchase the book. OK, so when someone breaks up
- 1:38with you, in the back of their mind, they know that they can
- 1:41get you back since they were the one who wanted the breakup.
- 1:45They want they're the one who left, not you.
- 1:47Now, obviously they know that they don't have forever, right?
- 1:51You're not going to sit around waiting for them forever, but at
- 1:54some point they know you're going to move on.
- 1:56But they feel that they have at least two, maybe three months,
- 2:00maybe even more than that depending on the relationship.
- 2:04So in order to raise their interest level and have them be
- 2:08attracted to you again, you need to show them that no, actually
- 2:13you're not waiting around for them.
- 2:16They broke up with you and they lost you the day they broke up
- 2:20with you. That's the best way to get their
- 2:23attention. They broke up with you because
- 2:26they thought they could do better than you.
- 2:28They thought they could do better without you.
- 2:31Leaving them alone and doing no contact is the only way for them
- 2:35to feel the void. And in this void, their
- 2:39imagination runs wild. They don't.
- 2:43They know they don't necessarily want you back.
- 2:46But why aren't you contacting them?
- 2:49Why'd you look so darn happy on social media?
- 2:52Why aren't you looking at their stories?
- 2:54Why aren't you breadcrumbing them?
- 2:56What the heck is going on? Are you seeing someone else
- 3:00already? As they start asking themselves
- 3:03these questions, the question mark becomes a hook, as Doc Love
- 3:08always used to say, and it hooks them back in.
- 3:12And by the way, if you want more wisdom from Doc Love, I have a
- 3:14link to his dating book underneath every single video.
- 3:18He's the one that I learned about interest level from.
- 3:20So whenever you hear me talk about interest level, it's
- 3:22thanks to him. So one of the first ways in
- 3:26order for your ex to realize that they lost you is for you to
- 3:29go into no contact and stay there until they say something
- 3:34significant. That means that you have to
- 3:36disappear as if you're in witness protection.
- 3:41And for more rules on how to do no contact correctly, just check
- 3:45out a video I did on that topic and I'll put a link in the upper
- 3:49right hand corner on YouTube. Now, something else you have to
- 3:54do is to not ask foreclosure. The fact that they broke up with
- 3:59you and don't want you is all the closure that you need.
- 4:05And if you still insist on getting closure, do you know
- 4:08why? It's because you have an anxious
- 4:11attachment style. People with a secure or
- 4:15definitely an avoidant attachment style don't give a
- 4:19damn about closure. I have never asked foreclosure.
- 4:23I have never even had the thought of asking foreclosure.
- 4:26That is all about anxious attachment and I did an entire
- 4:31video on closure and of course I'll put the link in the upper
- 4:34right hand corner. Most people ask foreclosure, so
- 4:38if you don't, that is another way of creating a void and
- 4:42differentiating yourself from other people that they have may
- 4:46have broken up with in the past. And for the love of God, do not
- 4:51have ongoing conversations about the breakup.
- 4:54I was speaking with a client the other day and after his ex broke
- 4:59up with him there were all these back and forth long texts about
- 5:02the relationship and the breakup.
- 5:05That is not how you get an X back.
- 5:08You're not going to be able to talk them into coming back.
- 5:11Breaking up with someone is always more of an emotional
- 5:14decision rather than a logical 1.
- 5:16So how is using logic going to win them over?
- 5:21It's not going to. You have to work on their
- 5:22emotions, and you're not going to do that by talking about it.
- 5:27They have to feel as if they've lost you forever, so do not let
- 5:32them air out all their grievances again.
- 5:35You think if you let them talk, you'll be able to talk them out
- 5:38of breaking up with you? No, what you're going to do is
- 5:42you're just going to let them get that off their chest and
- 5:44they'll feel better. It doesn't matter what the
- 5:46reason is. Most of the time they don't even
- 5:48give you the real reason anyway, or then they're not even sure of
- 5:51the reason themselves. They just know that they don't
- 5:54want to be around you anymore. The fact that they no longer
- 5:59want to be with you is the only thing you need to know.
- 6:02Honestly, when someone breaks up with you.
- 6:05So all you do is you say OK, and if they break up with you via
- 6:10text, you can also add you're breaking up over text.
- 6:14Wow, OK, that's it. But I know all of you, all you
- 6:19want to talk, talk, talk and it's not going to get you what
- 6:22you want, which is obviously your ex back.
- 6:25You need to shut up and shut everything down.
- 6:29And if you have to deal with them to get your stuff or to
- 6:33give them their stuff, just be polite and that's it.
- 6:37Don't try to pull the pity card by crying in front of them
- 6:40looking all sad thinking that's going to make them come back.
- 6:45Do you really want someone to take you back just because they
- 6:49feel sorry for you? And I know some of you just
- 6:52answered yes. Well, trust me, you don't.
- 6:56All right, so you've got some growing up to do.
- 7:00Now if they should say they miss you, you don't need to respond
- 7:04to that text. And I have a whole video on how
- 7:06to respond to the I miss you text.
- 7:08And there are circumstances under which you can respond.
- 7:12I love the response to the I miss you text, which is and
- 7:16whose fault is that? Now, obviously that's not
- 7:19appropriate in every situation. However, there are circumstances
- 7:24under which you should not respond to the I miss you text.
- 7:29And more often than not, you probably shouldn't respond.
- 7:32And in fact, one of my clients got the I miss you text and
- 7:38asked me what to do because he was coaching with me.
- 7:41He's paying me to tell him what to do to get his ex back.
- 7:44I told them, do not respond. She's just simply triggered at
- 7:47the moment and she wants some reassurance.
- 7:49Leave her alone. Do not respond.
- 7:52And he said, OK, Yeah, fine. Didn't hear from him for a week.
- 7:54And then I responded, Really? What happened?
- 7:59Yeah. He was on the phone for over an
- 8:00hour. Did he get her back?
- 8:03No. He totally relieved her of any
- 8:05anxiety. So there was no point in
- 8:10responding to that text. Now you may be thinking or he
- 8:16was probably thinking also, OK, but I know my ex and I think I
- 8:19should respond. I think it's what that's why
- 8:21people go rogue. Here's the thing.
- 8:24Yes, you know your ex in a relationship.
- 8:28You don't know them during a breakup.
- 8:32I know your ex during a breakup. Well, how can that be if I've
- 8:35never met them? Because most people behave the
- 8:39exact same way after a breakup. That's how I'm able to help
- 8:44people get their X back. I don't need to know their X
- 8:47because if everyone behaved differently, I'd never be able
- 8:50to help anyone get their X back. I'd be like, I don't know, here,
- 8:52try this. Oh, it's not working right here,
- 8:54try this. But luckily most people behave
- 8:57the same. Once in a while I get thrown a
- 9:00curveball and that's fine. I make a course correction but I
- 9:04wouldn't be able to help people if they didn't all behave the
- 9:09same after a breakup. So no, actually you do not know
- 9:13your ex. You only know how they behave in
- 9:16a relationship. You do not know how they behave
- 9:19after a breakup. And something else you need to
- 9:22do in order for them to feel like they've lost you is to let
- 9:25them know that they are now de prioritizing your life through
- 9:30your actions. So if you still need to be in
- 9:32contact, you can now take a lot longer to respond.
- 9:37And your answers are short and to the point.
- 9:40If you need to meet up for any reason, you're not immediately
- 9:43available. You have things going on and
- 9:47you'll fit them in when you have a chance and when it's
- 9:49convenient for you. They want to be out of your
- 9:53life, so you're giving them what they asked for.
- 9:57Do not reach out on holidays. Special days, definitely not on
- 10:02their birthday. Do you really think that just
- 10:05because you wish them a happy birthday that they're going to
- 10:09decide to get back together or that you're going to open the
- 10:13lines of communication to the point where they want to get
- 10:15back together with you? Or do you really think that if
- 10:17you don't wish them a happy birthday, they're going to be so
- 10:21upset that they'll never get back with you?
- 10:23Come on, you're being delusional as usual.
- 10:27I have a whole video. I have a video and everything on
- 10:31not contacting an ex during their birthday so I'll put the
- 10:34link up. You know they need to see that
- 10:36you're moving on with your life and you're not holding on to the
- 10:39past by wishing them a happy birthday.
- 10:43Your ex needs to feel the loss in order to realize that they've
- 10:47lost you. That's why I'm so strict with
- 10:49the no contact, because if you give them any type of hope that
- 10:52they haven't lost you, they will not feel the loss.
- 10:56That's why you can't look at their stories.
- 10:58That's why you can't wish them a happy birthday.
- 11:00That's why you can't respond to insignificant messages.
- 11:04At some point it'll hit them that even though they walked
- 11:07away from you, you've also walked away from them and are
- 11:11not waiting around, reassuring them that you're still there
- 11:14waiting. Otherwise they have no incentive
- 11:18to come back. And of course, I have to remind
- 11:20you finally that if you cheated or took your ex for granted,
- 11:24then you should not be doing any of these things.
- 11:28You need to leave them alone for at least 30 days after the
- 11:31breakup, but after that, it's your job to win them over if you
- 11:35want them back. OK, so if you would like my help
- 11:39to get your ex back, contact me at theartoflove.net/coaching.
- 11:46The link is underneath every single video and podcast and I
- 11:50am available 24. No, not 24/7.
- 11:53I'm available seven days a week, 16 hours a day for my ongoing
- 11:58coaching clients. So don't worry, I am here for
- 12:02you. And if you found this video
- 12:04helpful, please like, subscribe and share.
- 12:07If you're listening to this as a podcast, please rate and review.
- 12:10And finally, remember, love inspires, empowers, uplifts and
- 12:14enlightens.
