Launching #1137
Chip Phillips, a retired English teacher, spent 30 years teaching about the Mississippi river through Mark Twain‘s Huckleberry Finn. Upon retirement, he built a houseboat, the northern Sun, and embarked on a journey down the Mississippi, living the adventure he had long taught. His journey, inspired by Twain‘s belief that “travel is fatal to prejudice,“ aims to connect with Bell Americans, and culminate in a book about his experiences.
