- 1:35Speaker 3: Here, and thank you so much for having me. It's
- 1:38Speaker 3: exciting to be here. This is like my first ever
- 1:41Speaker 3: official podcast and I've been on so this is this
- 1:44Speaker 3: is exciting for me as well, So thank you.
- 1:45Speaker 1: So yush, Well, I will take it easy on you.
- 1:48Speaker 1: This is going to be just a fun forty five
- 1:50Speaker 1: minutes here. So one of the things I like to
- 1:53Speaker 1: do when I have guests on the show is first
- 1:56Speaker 1: just have them start off telling the audience a little
- 1:59Speaker 1: bit about yourself and the company practice is sinned and
- 2:03Speaker 1: you're an orthodonest, but yeah, we're talking about a totally
- 2:07Speaker 1: different company that helps our industry. So I want you
- 2:09Speaker 1: to kind of bring all of that in and touch
- 2:12Speaker 1: our audience about that a little bit.
- 2:13Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:14Speaker 3: Sure, So just the little brief summary about me. I
- 2:17Speaker 3: live on Long Island. I grew up here. My wife
- 2:20Speaker 3: and I actually met in residency, so we're both orthan
- 2:22Speaker 3: honest and now we both live on Long Island. We
- 2:25Speaker 3: have two little kids, two little boys, a three year
- 2:28Speaker 3: old and a two month old, and we actually practiced
- 2:31Speaker 3: together along with my dad, who actually started the practice
- 2:35Speaker 3: thirty eight years ago.
- 2:36Speaker 4: I love that. Yeah, no, it's actually great.
- 2:38Speaker 3: And so basically I brought into the practice and when
- 2:43Speaker 3: I got there, it's a great practice and everything like that.
- 2:46Speaker 3: So the way practice the scent kind of came about was,
- 2:50Speaker 3: you know, over time, you know, we weren't really following
- 2:53Speaker 3: up with patients, and so we wanted to kind of
- 2:57Speaker 3: establish a way to have a systematic follow up for
- 3:03Speaker 3: patients who don't start right away. You know, they kind
- 3:06Speaker 3: of leave, they need to think about it and things
- 3:07Speaker 3: like that, and you know, we went through a few
- 3:09Speaker 3: iterations of things. The first thing we did with our
- 3:12Speaker 3: treatment coordinator and office manager was, you know, we had
- 3:15Speaker 3: like a notebook that did not last very long because
- 3:18Speaker 3: I don't like paper and that just seemed like it.
- 3:21Speaker 4: Could get lost.
- 3:22Speaker 3: And then the next thing we did, which is worked
- 3:25Speaker 3: well but not It was kind of like clunky. There
- 3:28Speaker 3: was no automation, was a Google spreadsheet, so it was
- 3:32Speaker 3: all color coordinated. To be honest, the only person who
- 3:35Speaker 3: could decipher it was our treatment coordinator. So it wasn't
- 3:39Speaker 3: really it was good, but you know, we were just
- 3:43Speaker 3: really looking for a better, simpler way to like make
- 3:48Speaker 3: those follow ups easier, more automatic, and kind of connect
- 3:51Speaker 3: our front desk where the whole patient lead starts all
- 3:55Speaker 3: the way through to them starting. And so I was
- 3:58Speaker 3: actually talking with one of my college roommates, Tushar, who
- 4:02Speaker 3: is part of the company, and his background is very
- 4:06Speaker 3: different than mine. He is a business guy, was in finance,
- 4:10Speaker 3: he went to Wharton for his MBA, and he's worked
- 4:13Speaker 3: in the technology sector for ten years now, and so
- 4:18Speaker 3: he was kind of like, oh, yeah, that's like an
- 4:20Speaker 3: interesting problem, and he's like, I think we could solve this,
- 4:24Speaker 3: and that's just kind of how this was born. Yeah,
- 4:26Speaker 3: and so that's kind of how the whole thing started, and.
- 4:30Speaker 4: So here we are.
- 4:32Speaker 2: I love that.
- 4:32Speaker 1: And one of my most favorite things is when I
- 4:35Speaker 1: talk to doctors who have seen a need in our
- 4:38Speaker 1: industry and said, I think I can find a way
- 4:42Speaker 1: to do this better. And I think there's just been
- 4:44Speaker 1: some really great businesses that have been born out of
- 4:48Speaker 1: problems that we have in our own practices, and you
- 4:52Speaker 1: kind of hit on this, and I feel like as
- 4:54Speaker 1: we are moving along in our industry. Twenty twenty four,
- 4:58Speaker 1: twenty five, you know, and continuing forward, we're really seeing
- 5:02Speaker 1: the importance of paying attention to our I'm going to
- 5:06Speaker 1: say contact to contract component of our practice. And you know,
- 5:13Speaker 1: for years and years and years, we were just so
- 5:16Speaker 1: focused on just what's our conversion and our follow up
- 5:19Speaker 1: that was kind of it was a very i think
- 5:21Speaker 1: one dimensional, you know, like type of a system, and
- 5:24Speaker 1: our softwares have never really done a great job at
- 5:28Speaker 1: helping us through that.
- 5:31Speaker 4: Yeah, that is very true.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Yes, And so when we think about that, and you know,
- 5:38Speaker 1: when you were kind of problem solving through this and thinking, Okay,
- 5:42Speaker 1: there's this need that we have in our practice that
- 5:45Speaker 1: we we know that we're spending all this money to
- 5:48Speaker 1: get patients in the door, but what's actually happening with
- 5:52Speaker 1: the follow up? And it's not only just like how
- 5:54Speaker 1: are we tracking it, but what's the time that it
- 5:56Speaker 1: takes for sometimes some of my top paid employees to
- 6:00Speaker 1: be filling out spreadsheets and doing all of this that
- 6:04Speaker 1: and the other. I'm kind of wondering if you can
- 6:07Speaker 1: just kind of talk about that in regard to just
- 6:12Speaker 1: what that looks like and that kind of that why behind.
- 6:15Speaker 2: What we need to be doing and how practice is
- 6:19Speaker 2: in kind of is helping with that.
- 6:22Speaker 3: Yeah, so you know, like you said, like the follow
- 6:26Speaker 3: ups are very important to do right. So obviously there's
- 6:31Speaker 3: busy practices and sometimes that can get lost, right because
- 6:36Speaker 3: it's like there's so many things going on.
- 6:38Speaker 4: You know.
- 6:38Speaker 3: Generally we have our treatment coordinator following up and they're
- 6:41Speaker 3: always busy because all day hopefully they're seeing new patients
- 6:45Speaker 3: and they're doing all these things, and so it's you know,
- 6:48Speaker 3: we really wanted to make that process really simple because
- 6:53Speaker 3: we've just found that patients do come in and it's
- 6:57Speaker 3: you've got to make it as easy as possible for
- 6:59Speaker 3: them to kind of get started. And sometimes it's you know,
- 7:03Speaker 3: a matter of they're busy, you know, I just you know,
- 7:07Speaker 3: we just put braces on a kid and he's the
- 7:09Speaker 3: guy has seven kids, right him and his wife, they
- 7:11Speaker 3: have seven kids, and like, yeah, like you think like
- 7:13Speaker 3: braces are super important, but when you have seven kids,
- 7:15Speaker 3: it's like, oh I forgot, you know. And so people
- 7:18Speaker 3: like really appreciate the follow up. A lot of you know,
- 7:22Speaker 3: within practices send you could do custom follow up. So
- 7:24Speaker 3: there's all these things where you know, patients will come
- 7:27Speaker 3: in and they'll say, you know it's November. Can you
- 7:29Speaker 3: call me back and I want to get started, not
- 7:31Speaker 3: until January. I have flex money redoing, and you want
- 7:34Speaker 3: to be able to make it convenient for a patients.
- 7:37Speaker 3: So it's really important to do those things and it
- 7:40Speaker 3: really does help.
- 7:41Speaker 4: I mean, patients appreciate it too. You know.
- 7:44Speaker 3: It's not about being like pushy, right, It's it's about
- 7:47Speaker 3: just helping guide them and helping them along because their
- 7:51Speaker 3: lives are busy. They're not just thinking about the orthodonys
- 7:54Speaker 3: as you know all the time, and oh, I got
- 7:56Speaker 3: to get back in there. It's you know, they might
- 7:58Speaker 3: get that flex money and forget to call you back.
- 8:02Speaker 3: And we find that a lot with adult patients too,
- 8:04Speaker 3: because they're busy and it's kind of like, you know,
- 8:06Speaker 3: they wanted to do it, that's why they came to you,
- 8:09Speaker 3: but they were waiting. You know, insurance has changed in January.
- 8:12Speaker 3: You know, some people want to wait till the summer,
- 8:14Speaker 3: so and they don't want to bump right now because
- 8:16Speaker 3: you're like, I don't know what I'm doing this summer.
- 8:17Speaker 3: We're looking to plan vacation, so make it easy. I
- 8:20Speaker 3: know we always want to schedule before someone leaves, and
- 8:23Speaker 3: I totally get that, or you want to do the
- 8:25Speaker 3: same day starts, but some people just you just need
- 8:28Speaker 3: to follow up with them. That's like they want to go,
- 8:31Speaker 3: they're not sure what they're doing. And patients really appreciate
- 8:35Speaker 3: it when you're just like, oh, absolutely, like I'll follow
- 8:37Speaker 3: up with you. I know we're going to talk about
- 8:39Speaker 3: practices send in a little bit like in more detail.
- 8:41Speaker 3: But that's what this system allows, and it just makes
- 8:44Speaker 3: it really easy to keep track of all those things,
- 8:48Speaker 3: and it's important and we've just seen like conversion goes
- 8:51Speaker 3: up because you're just helping them along and you know,
- 8:55Speaker 3: with depending on what you're doing with practices send or
- 8:58Speaker 3: if you're running Google ads, follow even more important with
- 9:01Speaker 3: those patients, which I think pretty much everyone listening to
- 9:04Speaker 3: your podcast knows at this point that they require a
- 9:07Speaker 3: little bit more work to get there. So you know,
- 9:10Speaker 3: it is important to do. And the why is, you know,
- 9:14Speaker 3: it is starting the patients, but it's also about like
- 9:17Speaker 3: making their lives theer and just making it a better experience.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Yeah, and you said something about our treatment coordinators. I
- 9:25Speaker 1: truly believe that most of our treatment coordinators, I'm going
- 9:29Speaker 1: to say ninety five percent of them out there. If
- 9:31Speaker 1: they're in it and they love the job that they're in,
- 9:34Speaker 1: they want those starts. I mean they are sales gals
- 9:38Speaker 1: and men as well out there and they want that
- 9:40Speaker 1: satisfaction of somebody saying yes, you know. And I can
- 9:43Speaker 1: tell you from being a treatment coordinator for many years
- 9:46Speaker 1: while I was working, you know in the practices, like
- 9:49Speaker 1: the best high was when you had somebody that like
- 9:52Speaker 1: six months later they're like, Okay, I'm ready to start
- 9:55Speaker 1: and you're like yes, you know, like all of that
- 9:57Speaker 1: follow up paid off. But what I love about practices
- 10:00Speaker 1: send and I know we're going to get into this,
- 10:02Speaker 1: and you said this is they're busy and I can
- 10:06Speaker 1: think about it. You know, when I was in a practice,
- 10:07Speaker 1: it was a very very very busy practice and I
- 10:10Speaker 1: was from the minute I walked in until the half
- 10:13Speaker 1: hour after forty five minutes after the last patient left,
- 10:16Speaker 1: I was hustling. So then you think about, Okay, now
- 10:20Speaker 1: I got to where do I find the time in
- 10:22Speaker 1: my day If my time and my skills are best
- 10:25Speaker 1: spent selling, right, you know, being in front of the patients,
- 10:29Speaker 1: how do I prioritize well, how do I follow up?
- 10:32Speaker 1: And it's not that I don't want to do it.
- 10:34Speaker 1: I'm just there's only so many hours in a day,
- 10:36Speaker 1: and so I'm wondering. That kind of leads me into
- 10:41Speaker 1: where we are seeing more and more systems out there
- 10:43Speaker 1: to kind of help us. But how do we see
- 10:46Speaker 1: practices send our companies like yours that are kind of
- 10:50Speaker 1: helping manage those tasks for us? Can you kind of
- 10:54Speaker 1: jump in and especially from that AI component, because gosh,
- 10:57Speaker 1: we could not be in a better time right where
- 10:59Speaker 1: we've technology that's just busting you know, to you know,
- 11:04Speaker 1: and if we can just harness it, you know, we can,
- 11:07Speaker 1: we can just really do so much with it.
- 11:09Speaker 3: Yeah, So whenever we're looking at AI, at least, you know,
- 11:12Speaker 3: with us, we want to make sure like it's like
- 11:17Speaker 3: our whole goal with AI because a lot of people
- 11:19Speaker 3: and you know, feel that, oh you're using like things
- 11:22Speaker 3: that are automatic, it loses like that personal touch. But
- 11:26Speaker 3: you know, the way we kind of think about AI
- 11:28Speaker 3: is to us, it actually increases the personal touch because
- 11:31Speaker 3: what we do is try to automate those mundane tasks
- 11:36Speaker 3: that really take away from like you being able to
- 11:39Speaker 3: interact with people and your front desk to interact with
- 11:42Speaker 3: people and everything like that. So examples of automation within
- 11:46Speaker 3: practices and just the few, just like simple ones. Is
- 11:49Speaker 3: the way the system works. It's a simple drag and
- 11:51Speaker 3: drop tile follow up. So when a patient decides that
- 11:55Speaker 3: they want to start, whether it's that day or something,
- 11:58Speaker 3: automatically on the back end, they get an generated Google review, right,
- 12:04Speaker 3: so you don't have to do anything. You drag it
- 12:06Speaker 3: there so that automation, you don't have to like copy
- 12:08Speaker 3: and paste a link send a text to them. It
- 12:10Speaker 3: automatically texts them from the system that link. And so
- 12:14Speaker 3: not only that, but let's just say they don't do it,
- 12:16Speaker 3: a lot of people don't do it right away. Well,
- 12:18Speaker 3: it automatically sends it again. And this is all customizable
- 12:22Speaker 3: at certain time periods. And we like to do it
- 12:24Speaker 3: then because you know they've decided to start treatment with you,
- 12:28Speaker 3: so presumably they like you, so yes, yes, So that's
- 12:32Speaker 3: one thing in terms of like automation and like using
- 12:35Speaker 3: AI within practice of send. The other thing is we
- 12:39Speaker 3: have built in something called call connect, which is really important,
- 12:42Speaker 3: especially if you're running Google ads, because what that does
- 12:45Speaker 3: is when somebody puts a Google AD in the software
- 12:49Speaker 3: itself on the back end, actually calls your front desk automatically,
- 12:53Speaker 3: so the phone rings, their front desk picks up and
- 12:55Speaker 3: it says, you know, we have a patient that's trying
- 12:58Speaker 3: to schedule with you. Are you available, and that connects
- 13:02Speaker 3: you right away. Within thirty seconds, you're calling that patient.
- 13:06Speaker 3: And it's also automatically generated into practice as send the
- 13:10Speaker 3: patient's name, phone number, and email, so you're calling them
- 13:13Speaker 3: right away. And we know just from tons of marketing
- 13:16Speaker 3: data that people who put in for a Google ad submission,
- 13:21Speaker 3: you really the quicker you get to them and call them,
- 13:24Speaker 3: the better. There's also without the front desk doing anything,
- 13:29Speaker 3: so they're going to get that call connect. Plus the
- 13:32Speaker 3: person is going to get an automatic email and text
- 13:34Speaker 3: message through practicees send, so it's all in practice as send.
- 13:38Speaker 3: So let's just say you call and it's somebody who
- 13:42Speaker 3: you know, a lot of people nowadays, they don't want
- 13:44Speaker 3: to pick up the phone right so they want to text,
- 13:47Speaker 3: so they got the text. They may text you and
- 13:49Speaker 3: practice ascent and you could do it that way, but
- 13:52Speaker 3: that text and email is all automatic, right. The calling
- 13:56Speaker 3: to the office is automatic, so it makes it easier
- 14:00Speaker 3: for your front desk freeze up time and it also
- 14:03Speaker 3: connects you to the patient quicker, which we know is
- 14:06Speaker 3: really important with Google Ads, and it does the same
- 14:09Speaker 3: thing if they put it a request in on your website.
- 14:12Speaker 3: So the automation and the AI stuff, it's really great,
- 14:16Speaker 3: but we don't want to overdo it where now it's
- 14:19Speaker 3: so complicated that where it's like kind of making it
- 14:24Speaker 3: taking more time, if that makes sense. So we really
- 14:27Speaker 3: try to use AI where it makes sense and not
- 14:30Speaker 3: use it just to use it.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I love that, And you're really kind of
- 14:34Speaker 1: talking about the two sides of it because there's the
- 14:37Speaker 1: like I said, that contact to making it into the
- 14:40Speaker 1: new patient exam and just what that is doing for
- 14:45Speaker 1: freeing up our front desk and allowing that front desk
- 14:49Speaker 1: to know, Okay, if I'm picking up the phone and
- 14:52Speaker 1: I'm hearing that, okay there's a new patient on the line,
- 14:55Speaker 1: I can put on my smile face and be energetic
- 14:58Speaker 1: and ready to go, it.
- 15:01Speaker 4: Does alert you.
- 15:01Speaker 3: Yes, of course, of course, all the front desk is
- 15:05Speaker 3: always doing that no matter what. But having a little
- 15:08Speaker 3: hint bet it so that it is indeed a new
- 15:10Speaker 3: patient probably does help sometimes, you know, at least that's yes.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I've got to believe it does, because I mean
- 15:16Speaker 1: there are just times where you're busy and just that
- 15:19Speaker 1: one little prompt to be like, okay, all right, this
- 15:22Speaker 1: is a new patient, all right, go time.
- 15:23Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 15:24Speaker 1: And then the secondary part of it for the treatment coordinator,
- 15:27Speaker 1: you know, in just that follow up and just being
- 15:29Speaker 1: able to say, Okay, they're still important to me.
- 15:32Speaker 2: It's still important to me that I'm following up with them.
- 15:35Speaker 2: But like you said, you know.
- 15:36Speaker 1: There's so many situations where sometimes our patients aren't starting,
- 15:40Speaker 1: not because they just can't make a decision. Maybe they've
- 15:42Speaker 1: got to go follow up with the dentist, or maybe
- 15:44Speaker 1: they like you said, you know, I want to get started,
- 15:47Speaker 1: but I need a reminder at the end of the
- 15:49Speaker 1: year because I want to use my health spending. I
- 15:51Speaker 1: can remember doing a lot of those Excel sheets where
- 15:54Speaker 1: you know, you're like searching back up through for the Okay,
- 15:57Speaker 1: which month was it that I need to follow up?
- 16:00Speaker 1: Then just the brain power that it took, and you
- 16:03Speaker 1: know I just yes, the time.
- 16:06Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, And so that's one of the things that
- 16:09Speaker 3: makes it nice. So on the treatment coordinator side, so
- 16:13Speaker 3: just to quickly just go through like practice to send
- 16:15Speaker 3: just so this makes sense as we're talking about it.
- 16:17Speaker 3: You know, when a new patient, let's just say they
- 16:19Speaker 3: call the office, it's really easy. You just add them
- 16:23Speaker 3: into the system. It's name, telephone number, and email and
- 16:28Speaker 3: depending if you have one office or multiple offices, all
- 16:30Speaker 3: the front as has to do. If this is just
- 16:33Speaker 3: a patient calling, not a Google ad, they just drag
- 16:35Speaker 3: it into the column for consolet scheduled, and you could
- 16:39Speaker 3: have multiple offices and so like they could go into
- 16:41Speaker 3: that and that's all customizable. And once it goes into
- 16:44Speaker 3: consolet schedule, then it goes into the treatment coordinators qu
- 16:48Speaker 3: practice to send view and so when that patient comes in,
- 16:53Speaker 3: if they start, that's simple, right, you just that's the
- 16:56Speaker 3: easiest thing. But if they have to see a dentist
- 16:59Speaker 3: flex spending, you can do a custom follow up.
- 17:02Speaker 4: Right.
- 17:03Speaker 3: So now you put it there, you're like, they want
- 17:06Speaker 3: to start in January, you just put in the date,
- 17:09Speaker 3: almost like a recall. It goes, it disappears, the tile
- 17:13Speaker 3: disappears on January first. When you come in the morning,
- 17:17Speaker 3: there's an automatic email sent with who you need to
- 17:20Speaker 3: call that day, and there's an automatic task list in
- 17:24Speaker 3: practices send, so you could see who you need to
- 17:27Speaker 3: pull love that, so it makes it really easy as
- 17:30Speaker 3: opposed to which is what Jamie our treatment coordinator, and
- 17:34Speaker 3: she loved her spreadsheets, So if she ever listens to this, Jamie, I.
- 17:36Speaker 4: Love I love your spreadsheet too.
- 17:38Speaker 1: It was great her heart but went into that.
- 17:44Speaker 3: Yeah, spreadsheet, she really really liked it. But she likes
- 17:48Speaker 3: practice to send more because it's it's just so much
- 17:50Speaker 3: easier because she would have to go back just like
- 17:52Speaker 3: you said, and it just takes time and things can
- 17:55Speaker 3: get missed, right, But if it's just automatically there, it
- 17:58Speaker 3: also is just a cleaner thing to look at. It's
- 18:01Speaker 3: like literally just less brain power to look at. It's
- 18:05Speaker 3: gone until it needs to be done again, and then
- 18:08Speaker 3: it pops up and then you follow up with the patient.
- 18:11Speaker 3: So you could do custom follow ups like that, or
- 18:14Speaker 3: if the person just is like I want to go
- 18:17Speaker 3: home and think about it, you can do your standard
- 18:20Speaker 3: follow up as the treatment coordinator and whatever that is
- 18:22Speaker 3: like one week, three week, five week. That's all customizable
- 18:27Speaker 3: depending on what you want to do, and so it
- 18:30Speaker 3: makes it very easy. You just drag it over and
- 18:35Speaker 3: you just get a list that day and you give
- 18:37Speaker 3: those a call when you have a chance, and you're busy, right,
- 18:39Speaker 3: so you don't want to be going through the spreadsheet
- 18:41Speaker 3: like frantically trying to figure out like, Okay, who was
- 18:43Speaker 3: I supposed to call today? It's right there, It's just there, and.
- 18:46Speaker 2: It's yeah, I'd love that.
- 18:48Speaker 1: And again coming from a spreadsheet person, a gal that
- 18:52Speaker 1: used to do that, you know, I think that this
- 18:54Speaker 1: is so nice. And you know, I have seen the
- 18:56Speaker 1: program and I really love the visibility comes. It just
- 19:01Speaker 1: makes sense. It's just an easy instead of again, just
- 19:05Speaker 1: this spreadsheet of data and all these columns of all
- 19:09Speaker 1: of these things.
- 19:10Speaker 3: Yeah, and that was the goal. Like when I was
- 19:12Speaker 3: working with you know, Tushar on this, I'm like, this
- 19:15Speaker 3: has to be simple because not everyone is technologically savvy,
- 19:20Speaker 3: so this can't be so complicated that you can't use it.
- 19:23Speaker 3: And I will tell you it was faster to It
- 19:26Speaker 3: took twenty five minutes to train all of our front
- 19:29Speaker 3: desk well, and they have very different levels of technical ability.
- 19:34Speaker 3: It was faster than training them to use Gmail.
- 19:37Speaker 4: Wow, I'm not even kidding.
- 19:39Speaker 3: So it's faster than training I'm not saying that it's
- 19:42Speaker 3: better than any Google products. I'm just saying it was
- 19:45Speaker 3: I still have to like help some of them with Gmail,
- 19:48Speaker 3: especially with the email threads some reason I still get confusing.
- 19:52Speaker 3: So it's the whole goal was to make it serve.
- 19:55Speaker 3: And so yeah, the follow up for the Treament coordinators
- 19:59Speaker 3: and then you know, the follow up for the Google
- 20:01Speaker 3: ads are important, but you may call. So the front
- 20:04Speaker 3: desk like, if they call, okay, that's great, you just
- 20:07Speaker 3: drag it into the console column. But if you get
- 20:09Speaker 3: a Google ad, somebody coming in from a Google ad,
- 20:12Speaker 3: what's the.
- 20:13Speaker 2: Follow up exactly?
- 20:14Speaker 3: This was another reason why we actually, besides the following
- 20:19Speaker 3: up with patients, the follow up with people with you know,
- 20:22Speaker 3: through Google ads was something that I get it like,
- 20:25Speaker 3: you're running a Google ad, and if you just get
- 20:27Speaker 3: an email and you call them once one, you're not
- 20:30Speaker 3: calling them right away. So that's why the call connect
- 20:32Speaker 3: is important. But they might not answer, they might not text,
- 20:34Speaker 3: and they might not email. So the front desk also
- 20:37Speaker 3: has a follow up column which is customizable where you
- 20:40Speaker 3: drag and well, you just drag it across and then
- 20:42Speaker 3: the next day that patient will get a text in
- 20:45Speaker 3: an email or whenever. The follow up is two days.
- 20:47Speaker 3: Whatever you want to do. We do like one day,
- 20:51Speaker 3: three day with Google Ads, so that's a little more frequent,
- 20:54Speaker 3: and the front desk gets a task list of who
- 20:57Speaker 3: to call, so you just call them back and so
- 21:00Speaker 3: so that has been very helpful because you don't just
- 21:04Speaker 3: call them once and that's it. And then once they schedule,
- 21:08Speaker 3: they get brought through same thing to the console column,
- 21:11Speaker 3: but it's the Google ad link. What they clicked on
- 21:15Speaker 3: is tracked throughout the software. So if that patient starts,
- 21:19Speaker 3: the software automatically calculates. In other words, like there's the
- 21:23Speaker 3: data of which ads are working and which ads are not.
- 21:26Speaker 3: Are your ad dollars actually doing something or are you
- 21:30Speaker 3: just doing Google ads getting an email, calling them once,
- 21:33Speaker 3: not following up and just don't do Google ads? Then,
- 21:36Speaker 3: like it's if you can't really see what's working, and
- 21:39Speaker 3: sometimes it's not what you think. One of the practices
- 21:42Speaker 3: that we work with, you know, we were spending a
- 21:45Speaker 3: decent amount they were spending a decent amount of money
- 21:47Speaker 3: on in visile, right, they were doing a lot of
- 21:49Speaker 3: Google Ads within bisil line, which like makes sense, right,
- 21:51Speaker 3: It's like that's a big one. And we actually found
- 21:55Speaker 3: we actually found that the braces ads were better and
- 21:59Speaker 3: more profitable so we shifted money yes to braces, which
- 22:02Speaker 3: I know like clear liners are all the rage, but
- 22:05Speaker 3: I guess some people still like traditional braces and so.
- 22:08Speaker 4: But you don't know.
- 22:09Speaker 3: That unless you have that data when we run Google ads, like,
- 22:12Speaker 3: we could do it for you, but we try to
- 22:15Speaker 3: make this as simple as possible. Some people really like
- 22:18Speaker 3: who's running their Google Ads, so we can work with anybody,
- 22:21Speaker 3: like we could just implement our system. We don't even
- 22:23Speaker 3: need to and get that data for the people who
- 22:26Speaker 3: run your Google ads if you want to do that.
- 22:29Speaker 3: So that has been incredibly helpful. That follow up with
- 22:33Speaker 3: Google Ads patients has been one of the biggest things
- 22:36Speaker 3: that I say is so important to do, especially with
- 22:41Speaker 3: those people. So it works really nicely.

- 24:46Speaker 1: because every smile deserves a suite of excellence. Well, and
- 24:51Speaker 1: kind of gets me thinking about we're kind of completing
- 24:55Speaker 1: the circle here, not only I'm sure doing this with
- 24:59Speaker 1: just our ad spend and there's gosh, there's just a
- 25:02Speaker 1: whole episode that could be just talking about the money
- 25:06Speaker 1: we spend on ads and the follow up and how
- 25:08Speaker 1: we track it and all of that. But the other
- 25:11Speaker 1: thing I'm thinking about is an area that we don't
- 25:14Speaker 1: talk a lot about but I think practice sin can
- 25:17Speaker 1: really help us too, is what about those cold leads?
- 25:22Speaker 2: They are still cold leads?
- 25:26Speaker 1: And this is just an area that I think our
- 25:31Speaker 1: industry is just barely pulling the curtains back on right now.
- 25:36Speaker 1: We're just starting to go ah, drip campaigns.
- 25:40Speaker 2: Huh.
- 25:41Speaker 1: We could be marketing to all of these people that
- 25:43Speaker 1: have been in our practice for X amount of time
- 25:46Speaker 1: that maybe weren't interested but could be interested.
- 25:48Speaker 2: So I'm wondering if you can talk to us a
- 25:51Speaker 2: little bit about that too.
- 25:53Speaker 3: Yes, So I know we've been talking a lot about
- 25:56Speaker 3: the follow ups and that is a big part of
- 25:57Speaker 3: the software. But yeah, basically, at some point when the
- 26:02Speaker 3: new patient comes in, there is a point where you've
- 26:05Speaker 3: tried to contact them and it's just not happening. So
- 26:10Speaker 3: there's three columns that they can go in. And so
- 26:13Speaker 3: there's the column if they started, and then there's two
- 26:15Speaker 3: other columns. One is if they don't want treatment at all,
- 26:18Speaker 3: and there's another column where you could never get in
- 26:20Speaker 3: contact with them again, so you don't know anything. And
- 26:23Speaker 3: so when you drag those to those two columns, we
- 26:27Speaker 3: are able to And this is what we actually just
- 26:29Speaker 3: we just did this in May at a bunch of practices,
- 26:32Speaker 3: is we do run a drip campaign. So's we can
- 26:35Speaker 3: run a report and it's all automatic and it sends
- 26:38Speaker 3: out a custom text message and it depends on what
- 26:41Speaker 3: you want. It's you know, five hundred dollars off, like
- 26:44Speaker 3: whatever the promotion is for the month. It automatically collects
- 26:48Speaker 3: them and it sends text messages and emails to all
- 26:52Speaker 3: those patients with that. So you could do that once
- 26:55Speaker 3: a year, twice a year, three times a year. Also,
- 26:58Speaker 3: if let's just say you just started using practices end,
- 27:01Speaker 3: if you have a status, which a lot of people do,
- 27:03Speaker 3: something like treatment refuse or long term pending or you know,
- 27:07Speaker 3: whatever it is. We can actually upload that into practice
- 27:10Speaker 3: ascent to get all that data in there so that
- 27:13Speaker 3: you're starting to use practices send. Now, let's just say
- 27:16Speaker 3: we're six months in and you're like, okay, it's September, right,
- 27:20Speaker 3: the classic time to run that or a campaign because
- 27:22Speaker 3: it's slow. All of those patients, patients that are already
- 27:27Speaker 3: in the practice management software, plus the patients in practice
- 27:30Speaker 3: the send who didn't start but came in could get
- 27:34Speaker 3: the promotional ads. So drift campaigns are automated. We do
- 27:38Speaker 3: those when people tell us to, and yeah, it is
- 27:41Speaker 3: a great way to just kind of reach back out
- 27:44Speaker 3: and see because like again, a lot of people they
- 27:47Speaker 3: just like maybe they just weren't ready for whatever reason,
- 27:50Speaker 3: but they just never told you. And it's not where
- 27:52Speaker 3: you want to custom follow up with them because it's like, oh,
- 27:55Speaker 3: I want to start in January. It's kind of like
- 27:57Speaker 3: they just never contacted you again, And it's a way
- 28:01Speaker 3: to just kind of get those patients and see, you know,
- 28:05Speaker 3: maybe it was a cost thing, right, So now you're
- 28:07Speaker 3: running a special and they're like, all right, this is good,
- 28:09Speaker 3: Like I could.
- 28:10Speaker 4: Do this now and you get them back in.
- 28:12Speaker 3: Yeah, So the drip campaigns are a huge part of this,
- 28:16Speaker 3: which is obviously it is following up with them, but
- 28:18Speaker 3: that's you know, for patients who didn't end up starting
- 28:21Speaker 3: and you know, I think believe it was doctor Krieger
- 28:25Speaker 3: who had mentioned this somewhere in like the Orthrepreneurs group,
- 28:29Speaker 3: to go back and look at patients who came in
- 28:32Speaker 3: and see if like their insurance was used right, because
- 28:34Speaker 3: then you could see like did they start anywhere or
- 28:36Speaker 3: is it me or did they just not start? And
- 28:38Speaker 3: a lot of times they didn't start anywhere and they
- 28:40Speaker 3: just weren't ready and that's fine, yep. And it kind
- 28:43Speaker 3: of gets back to make it easy for the patient,
- 28:45Speaker 3: right if maybe there's a reason why they didn't want
- 28:48Speaker 3: to start, but they want to do it, it just
- 28:50Speaker 3: wasn't the right time, and maybe reaching back out to
- 28:52Speaker 3: them with something like that where there's you know, an incentive,
- 28:55Speaker 3: you know, maybe that that gets them back in and
- 28:57Speaker 3: they wanted to do it again. They came to you Orthodonics, right. So, yeah,
- 29:02Speaker 3: the drip campaigns have been really great.
- 29:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:04Speaker 1: I just feel like this is again sometimes I personally
- 29:08Speaker 1: feel like our industry are kind of slow adapters to
- 29:12Speaker 1: what is happening out there. We're just a little bit
- 29:15Speaker 1: slower sometimes at kind of bringing these in and being like, okay,
- 29:18Speaker 1: it is okay to go after those patients. Yeah, it
- 29:21Speaker 1: isn't crossing any weird lines.
- 29:23Speaker 4: You know, it's a comfort thing.
- 29:24Speaker 3: I do feel like it's a comfort thing because it's like, ah,
- 29:27Speaker 3: that's you know, I don't know, it's like is that
- 29:30Speaker 3: weird to do that?
- 29:30Speaker 4: You know?
- 29:31Speaker 3: I totally yeah, you know, because my dad, like I said,
- 29:34Speaker 3: is practicing, so like this was all new to him, right.
- 29:37Speaker 3: He never did like these dript campaigns and like doing
- 29:39Speaker 3: all this stuff, and he's just one he's amazed how
- 29:42Speaker 3: it works because it does work. And then it's just
- 29:45Speaker 3: he was just like, I don't know, he just never
- 29:46Speaker 3: did that right in his career. So even if you've
- 29:49Speaker 3: been practicing for you know, ten or fifteen years and
- 29:52Speaker 3: you're like on the younger side, it's still something new.
- 29:55Speaker 3: Like you said, we're just slower to adapt to these things,
- 29:58Speaker 3: even though we see it all the time. You get
- 30:00Speaker 3: emails all the time, you put something in, you get
- 30:03Speaker 3: promotions no matter.
- 30:04Speaker 4: What it is.
- 30:05Speaker 1: Yeah, And I think that's what's really exciting to me
- 30:08Speaker 1: is I love companies like yours, you know where Number one,
- 30:12Speaker 1: I'm definitely a I kind of love a little bit
- 30:16Speaker 1: more of the DIY, like where a practice can kind
- 30:19Speaker 1: of manage their own. Not that there's anything, you know,
- 30:22Speaker 1: a lot of practices need big management marketing companies to
- 30:26Speaker 1: manage it. They're just in a different place. But especially
- 30:29Speaker 1: for a lot of my startup docs or docs that
- 30:32Speaker 1: are still getting going, or maybe they've just got a
- 30:35Speaker 1: really great team in place with a really where their
- 30:38Speaker 1: team is solid and they're like, Okay, I know they
- 30:40Speaker 1: can manage this. And I'm not having a lot of
- 30:43Speaker 1: turnover where I'm constantly training and retraining and worrying about
- 30:46Speaker 1: things falling through. But I just feel like it just
- 30:49Speaker 1: opens up one more door for us that I just
- 30:53Speaker 1: don't feel like we have really thought about. I think
- 30:56Speaker 1: we're really starting to focus on that contact into new patient,
- 31:01Speaker 1: but I think there's we still have. You know, I
- 31:04Speaker 1: think of that movie Dumb and Dummers. So you're telling
- 31:07Speaker 1: me I've got a chance.
- 31:08Speaker 2: You know, And that's what it is.
- 31:12Speaker 1: That's what these NERI have campaigns until they say absolutely
- 31:16Speaker 1: not or they shut us off and don't want us
- 31:18Speaker 1: following up with them. I mean, I can tell you
- 31:20Speaker 1: as a consumer even you know, and I think everybody
- 31:23Speaker 1: who's listening, if you were to be honest, there are
- 31:26Speaker 1: probably products and things that you have purchased, probably years
- 31:32Speaker 1: after but because of this kind of slow campaign where
- 31:37Speaker 1: things are like a touch a touch, you know, what
- 31:41Speaker 1: do they say it takes nine times of touches a
- 31:43Speaker 1: lot of times before somebody makes a decision. So if
- 31:46Speaker 1: we think about that and think, okay, if we think
- 31:49Speaker 1: one phone call after somebody misses a new patient exam
- 31:53Speaker 1: or doesn't show up is going to be enough for
- 31:55Speaker 1: them to come back in or just four full follow
- 31:58Speaker 1: up calls within the first month, and then we they
- 32:00Speaker 1: never hear from us again.
- 32:01Speaker 2: I just feel like there's a whole lot out.
- 32:04Speaker 1: There that's open to us if we've got the right
- 32:06Speaker 1: tools in front of us to really manage it. And
- 32:08Speaker 1: I really feel like you guys are onto something for
- 32:11Speaker 1: sure here.
- 32:12Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 32:12Speaker 1: No.
- 32:12Speaker 3: And it's customizable too, so like if someone wants to
- 32:16Speaker 3: only follow up a certain amount of times or depending
- 32:19Speaker 3: on the practice, and you know, obviously the doctor's personality,
- 32:23Speaker 3: like some people are okay, like being more aggressive with
- 32:25Speaker 3: follow ups some people want to give it more time.
- 32:28Speaker 3: At our practice, actually, for just us, our treatment coordinator
- 32:33Speaker 3: like we turned off so for the treatment coordinator aspect
- 32:37Speaker 3: of it, we turned off the text message and automatic
- 32:40Speaker 3: emails a week later because we have just found that
- 32:44Speaker 3: I like my treatment coordinators to call the patient because
- 32:47Speaker 3: I just feel that if they get a text, they
- 32:49Speaker 3: might ignore it or if they have a question.
- 32:51Speaker 4: So that's like a.
- 32:52Speaker 3: Big thing too, right, So if they have a question,
- 32:54Speaker 3: I want them to People still like getting a phone
- 32:57Speaker 3: call from a person, and you know, maybe they will
- 32:59Speaker 3: text instead. So our treatment coordinator can always like text
- 33:03Speaker 3: and she'll say on the phone call if she's leaving
- 33:04Speaker 3: a voicemail, like, feel free to call her, text me.
- 33:08Speaker 3: But you can customize that's what's nice. You can customize
- 33:10Speaker 3: it to like what your comfort level is, but still
- 33:14Speaker 3: doing follow ups because it's so important for a practice.
- 33:18Speaker 2: I love it well.
- 33:19Speaker 1: I love how you have just kind of taken an
- 33:22Speaker 1: area in our industry that definitely has needed some help
- 33:26Speaker 1: and made this into something pretty great. So I'm kind
- 33:28Speaker 1: of curious, you know, as we're talking, a lot a
- 33:31Speaker 1: lot of this is driven on AI. Where do you
- 33:33Speaker 1: think AI is taking us in the next few years
- 33:36Speaker 1: here in orthodonics, you know, in.
- 33:38Speaker 3: The next few years. I really think things like the
- 33:41Speaker 3: customization of really like a lot of the virtual monitoring
- 33:45Speaker 3: stuff I think is like really cool and the way
- 33:47Speaker 3: I think that will only get better. And again it's
- 33:50Speaker 3: not about just like never seeing the patient, but it's
- 33:53Speaker 3: making their experience better. So they're scanning and I actually
- 33:58Speaker 3: don't use any of them right now because I'm just
- 34:00Speaker 3: still trying to figure out how we would implement it
- 34:02Speaker 3: in our practice. But things like if you know patient
- 34:05Speaker 3: is having an issue, instead of somebody having to manually
- 34:09Speaker 3: type it, like the AI can maybe recognize that, ooh,
- 34:13Speaker 3: that's a wire poking and like automatically generate either a
- 34:17Speaker 3: video or something to like help that patient at home, right,
- 34:20Speaker 3: Like things like that, like if you're using self like
- 34:22Speaker 3: gating brackets, like recognizes that a door is open, like
- 34:25Speaker 3: patient doesn't need to come in for you to close
- 34:27Speaker 3: the door, like they might be able to do that, right,
- 34:30Speaker 3: and sort of just like this automation of like helping
- 34:32Speaker 3: patients at home obviously, like with clear aligners, you know,
- 34:35Speaker 3: whichever clear liner system you're using, I think it automatically
- 34:38Speaker 3: does say like there's an unseat and things like that.
- 34:41Speaker 3: So that's like pretty cool. But I think maybe with
- 34:43Speaker 3: braces it'll get a little bit better and a little
- 34:45Speaker 3: more advanced with helping patients with that and just really
- 34:50Speaker 3: like the whole digital like workflow, like making that more automatic,
- 34:55Speaker 3: like setups for like indirect bondings and things like that,
- 34:58Speaker 3: like all that like three D printed like races and
- 35:01Speaker 3: all that, like customization and all that, and that's all
- 35:04Speaker 3: really cool. So I see that all getting better in
- 35:07Speaker 3: the next few years. I don't really see like a
- 35:11Speaker 3: robot taking the place of like Stafford like that anytime soon.
- 35:15Speaker 3: You know, Toushar, who's my business partner in this, is
- 35:18Speaker 3: really heavily knowledgeable and like robotics and stuff like that
- 35:22Speaker 3: like that. That's an area that he's very interested in,
- 35:24Speaker 3: and so I'll like ask him things like that, like
- 35:26Speaker 3: how far away are we from that?
- 35:28Speaker 4: And he's like, that's that's not like it's talked about
- 35:30Speaker 4: a lot.
- 35:31Speaker 3: It's talked about, but like you know the day where
- 35:33Speaker 3: like you walk into an office and they're just like robots.
- 35:36Speaker 3: You know, that's a long time away, which I think
- 35:39Speaker 3: is you know, that's good, you know, but uh yeah,
- 35:42Speaker 3: I just see the things that are out there just
- 35:44Speaker 3: getting even better and more customizable and more again taking
- 35:48Speaker 3: those mundane tasks and just automating them so that you
- 35:52Speaker 3: have more time to actually interact with the patients and
- 35:55Speaker 3: free up time to do the important things in a process.
- 35:57Speaker 1: Yeah, well this has been great, and I'm kind of
- 35:59Speaker 1: one as we kind of finish up here. If we've
- 36:02Speaker 1: got some practices or docs that are listening and like, okay,
- 36:06Speaker 1: I think that this could be like a good first
- 36:07Speaker 1: step for me for really kind of taking a hold
- 36:10Speaker 1: and getting control of my follow ups and communication and
- 36:14Speaker 1: maybe even thinking about drip campaigns and whatnot. First I
- 36:18Speaker 1: want to ask before I have you give us your information,
- 36:22Speaker 1: if there was like from an adapter's standpoint, like two
- 36:27Speaker 1: to three points where you're like, okay, this is what
- 36:29Speaker 1: would help you. You know, if you were going to
- 36:31Speaker 1: move in this direction you were going to bring some
- 36:32Speaker 1: out here, would be like three things that I would
- 36:34Speaker 1: tell you get ready so that you can have like
- 36:37Speaker 1: the easiest you know, move into bringing something like this.
- 36:40Speaker 1: Do you have any suggestions there.
- 36:42Speaker 4: Like to learn the system.
- 36:44Speaker 1: No, Just like if a practice is telling their team okay,
- 36:47Speaker 1: I think we want to do this, but do they
- 36:49Speaker 1: need to clean up their statuses first, or do they
- 36:51Speaker 1: need to you know, like like have an understanding of
- 36:54Speaker 1: what their follow up process, what they want, Like is
- 36:57Speaker 1: there things that they could do to help get themselves
- 37:01Speaker 1: ready if they were like I want to do this
- 37:03Speaker 1: and I want it to just take off for me,
- 37:06Speaker 1: are there any best practices for helping get them ready?
- 37:10Speaker 3: So yeah, definitely. I mean, obviously, cleaning up the statuses
- 37:14Speaker 3: is a huge thing, right, So if you want to
- 37:17Speaker 3: really use those like drift campaigns and everything, you've got
- 37:20Speaker 3: to make sure the statuses are changed correctly in the software.
- 37:23Speaker 3: So if patients are starting and then they're still in
- 37:26Speaker 3: like pending but they've started, it could get a little
- 37:30Speaker 3: You don't want to send a promotion to a patient
- 37:32Speaker 3: embraces or in clear liner treatment because they're going to.
- 37:36Speaker 2: Be like, what's going on here, I'm already in it.
- 37:38Speaker 3: And kind I got that money off and it's like that,
- 37:40Speaker 3: you know, that's kind of like so definitely making sure
- 37:44Speaker 3: because that, you know, that is the thing, right and
- 37:46Speaker 3: that's important, like making sure the front desk is changing
- 37:49Speaker 3: those statuses appropriately, or you know, whoever changes those statuses
- 37:52Speaker 3: in the office, so that if you want to move
- 37:55Speaker 3: forward with like a drift campaign.
- 37:56Speaker 4: We're not shooting ourselves in the foot by sending it
- 37:59Speaker 4: to the right people, you know.
- 38:00Speaker 3: The other thing is, yeah, if you're you know, an
- 38:03Speaker 3: orthodonoyst who's not necessarily comfortable with the idea of follow ups,
- 38:07Speaker 3: just try to get comfortable with it and think of
- 38:10Speaker 3: what type of follow up system you would feel comfortable with, right, Like,
- 38:15Speaker 3: And that's what I was saying during this The follow
- 38:17Speaker 3: up system we do in our practice is what we're
- 38:19Speaker 3: comfortable with, right, So we kind of do things a
- 38:23Speaker 3: certain way. But I know people who when a patient leaves,
- 38:26Speaker 3: they want to call the next day, three days like
- 38:28Speaker 3: a patient that they just saw. We kind of go
- 38:31Speaker 3: a little bit longer than that, only because we just
- 38:33Speaker 3: feel like it's less pressure. But that's just our opinion, right,
- 38:36Speaker 3: So kind of think about how, especially if you've never
- 38:41Speaker 3: done follow ups, kind of what you would feel comfortable with.
- 38:45Speaker 3: It Obviously can't be like, oh, I want to follow
- 38:47Speaker 3: up a month later, that's too long. Generally we would
- 38:50Speaker 3: recommend a week or less just to like touch base
- 38:53Speaker 3: with the patient. But just think about that. And the
- 38:56Speaker 3: status thing that you said is that is that is big, right,
- 38:59Speaker 3: because that doing that will really help you'll get the
- 39:04Speaker 3: most out of practice to send if you're using all.
- 39:07Speaker 4: Those features, that's great. Most offices now have like email
- 39:11Speaker 4: and all that. So you know, if your front desk
- 39:14Speaker 4: doesn't have like an email or something, I mean, I
- 39:17Speaker 4: know there are probably offices out there which is fine
- 39:19Speaker 4: that you know, maybe don't have email stuff, Like, it's
- 39:21Speaker 4: pretty important to have that set up just because that's
- 39:24Speaker 4: how this you know, the system integrates with your whatever
- 39:27Speaker 4: email you're working with. Other than that, like it's really
- 39:31Speaker 4: the software itself is really is easy to It's not
- 39:34Speaker 4: like this is a big training to do it. It's
- 39:36Speaker 4: pretty straightforward. So but yeah, those things would definitely be important, Okay, yeah,
- 39:42Speaker 4: and yeah.
- 39:42Speaker 3: And so, and it works for startup practices if you know,
- 39:45Speaker 3: if it's a busier practice. Obviously it's always daunting to
- 39:49Speaker 3: bring something into a busier practice because it's something new,
- 39:53Speaker 3: which is why we wanted to make it simple. And
- 39:57Speaker 3: so there's you know, it's simple. But obviously if you're
- 40:01Speaker 3: a startup practice, and if you could get the systems
- 40:03Speaker 3: right from the beginning.
- 40:04Speaker 4: It's it's way.
- 40:07Speaker 3: Yeah, if you get this, I know, right, I'm foraging
- 40:10Speaker 3: the acquirer. But if you get the systems when you're
- 40:13Speaker 3: starting it, just have that vision of like, Okay, this
- 40:16Speaker 3: is going to be a busy practice one day, and
- 40:19Speaker 3: just get those systems in place, and like it is
- 40:22Speaker 3: so much easier when you get busier. That was actually
- 40:25Speaker 3: one of the reasons why we wanted to make this
- 40:26Speaker 3: really simple, because there are a lot of busy practices
- 40:29Speaker 3: that it's like they don't have the follow up in place,
- 40:32Speaker 3: and this is a simple way to get that in place.
- 40:35Speaker 2: Well that's great, Well, I love what you've done.
- 40:38Speaker 1: Even Tushar and I think that this is something that
- 40:41Speaker 1: a lot of docs are really going to be excited
- 40:43Speaker 1: that I did this podcast and be like, ah, there's
- 40:46Speaker 1: something out there. I think this is I think this
- 40:47Speaker 1: is exactly what I've been waiting for. So if somebody
- 40:50Speaker 1: wants to get a hold of you, if they want
- 40:52Speaker 1: to learn more about practices in what's what's going to
- 40:54Speaker 1: be the best way that they can do that.
- 40:56Speaker 3: So the easiest way would just be the email. So
- 40:59Speaker 3: it's contact us at practice assnd dot io, So you
- 41:06Speaker 3: can email us. Definitely let us know if you've heard
- 41:09Speaker 3: us on the podcast, because for all of your listeners.
- 41:11Speaker 3: We're actually we do healthcare forms, so when a patient starts,
- 41:16Speaker 3: when you put it into again, this is like that
- 41:18Speaker 3: automation thing, so there's there is more automation in there.
- 41:20Speaker 3: I could just keep talking for like five hours on this.
- 41:23Speaker 3: But one of the other automated things is when you
- 41:26Speaker 3: put a patient to consolet scheduled, they automatically get a
- 41:30Speaker 3: text message and an email for a health form which
- 41:32Speaker 3: is very mobile friendly. When they fill it out comes
- 41:36Speaker 3: back to your email and a printable PDF. But we
- 41:39Speaker 3: will give it to anybody who's listening, you know, at
- 41:42Speaker 3: no cost for the lifetime that they're here. That's great,
- 41:45Speaker 3: just a little something. Yeah, so you can contact us
- 41:48Speaker 3: there and we would be more than happy to kind
- 41:51Speaker 3: of actually show you what it looks like and go
- 41:53Speaker 3: through more details and other things that it can do
- 41:57Speaker 3: and ways to use it.
- 41:57Speaker 2: Yeah, that's great.
- 41:58Speaker 1: And we'll also have a show notes like the website
- 42:01Speaker 1: and all of that if somebody wants to hop on
- 42:03Speaker 1: the website and see everything. So this has been great, Mike,
- 42:07Speaker 1: just having you talk through this again. I think this
- 42:10Speaker 1: is a great product and a lot of docs are
- 42:12Speaker 1: going to be like, Okay, this is exactly what I've
- 42:14Speaker 1: been looking for. So as I finish up here, I
- 42:17Speaker 1: know you know this, but on hay Docs, I love
- 42:19Speaker 1: to finish up with the speed round.
- 42:21Speaker 2: So are you ready for the challenge?
- 42:24Speaker 4: Yes, I think so, I hope.
- 42:26Speaker 1: So all right, here we go. If you could start
- 42:30Speaker 1: any business right now, what would it be?
- 42:32Speaker 3: Well, ID probably practice a send, which is why I'm
- 42:35Speaker 3: doing it. I kind of like I really do obviously,
- 42:38Speaker 3: like I said Tooshar, it comes from a technology background.
- 42:41Speaker 3: So I really love learning more about that because it's
- 42:44Speaker 3: something that I know, like what I want to do,
- 42:47Speaker 3: but like seeing how that vision comes to light within
- 42:51Speaker 3: the technology itself is really awesome.
- 42:52Speaker 4: So I'm going to go with that.
- 42:54Speaker 2: Okay, sounds good. The best investment you've ever.
- 42:56Speaker 4: Made my education? That's an interesting one.
- 42:59Speaker 2: Perfect How do you handle work related stress?
- 43:03Speaker 4: I'm actually pretty good at leaving work at work.
- 43:06Speaker 3: I just like coming home hanging out my family and
- 43:09Speaker 3: the kids. That's a pretty good distraction. Also, I like
- 43:13Speaker 3: to work out, so that also does That's great.
- 43:16Speaker 2: What's one trend in our industry that you're pretty excited about.
- 43:20Speaker 3: Well, we were talking about a little bit before, but
- 43:21Speaker 3: all like the cuts, the way that treatment is becoming
- 43:24Speaker 3: more and more customized. It's I just think that's like
- 43:28Speaker 3: very cool and very different. It's just like a cool
- 43:31Speaker 3: thing that I think is really going to make the
- 43:32Speaker 3: patient experience better because as those things get advanced, more
- 43:37Speaker 3: treatment time are faster, better results and all that, and
- 43:40Speaker 3: that's all like awesome.
- 43:41Speaker 2: It's just yeah, yeah, for sure, for sure, all right.
- 43:44Speaker 1: And the last one most valuable piece of advice you
- 43:47Speaker 1: would give someone just starting their career, well, if.
- 43:50Speaker 3: They're starting a practice, like I said before, I would say,
- 43:53Speaker 3: get the systems in place. Now it might seem like, yeah,
- 43:57Speaker 3: if I just started to have three patients, like do
- 43:59Speaker 3: I really need this? But you will get busier. It
- 44:02Speaker 3: takes time. That's another thing. You know what you know
- 44:05Speaker 3: they say it was a role wasn't built in a.
- 44:06Speaker 4: Day type of thing.
- 44:07Speaker 3: But so you know, be patient and but just like
- 44:11Speaker 3: get those systems in place from the beginning and you'll
- 44:13Speaker 3: never know what it's like to not have any systems
- 44:15Speaker 3: and have the chaos and then try to get those
- 44:18Speaker 3: systems in place.
- 44:18Speaker 2: And that's a great Yeah, for sure, for sure.
- 44:21Speaker 4: I could work with a great consultant. Thanks there, it's easy.
- 44:25Speaker 3: Well that's really look Dan, you'll get the system right,
- 44:27Speaker 3: like that's it's important, Like I really would if it's
- 44:31Speaker 3: if I was starting a practice like by myself and
- 44:34Speaker 3: I just came out, I would I couldn't recommend it.
- 44:37Speaker 1: Oh well, thank you thanks for saying that. Well, Mike,
- 44:39Speaker 1: this has been just a treat have any one? Thank
- 44:42Speaker 1: you so much. Thanks for bringing this to our industry.
- 44:44Speaker 1: I think this is exactly what we need. And I
- 44:47Speaker 1: know that probably a lot of light bulbs put on
- 44:49Speaker 1: with a lot of my docs that are like, hmm,
- 44:51Speaker 1: it's exactly what I've been looking for. So I'm sure
- 44:54Speaker 1: you're going to get get a lot of calls. So
- 44:56Speaker 1: thanks again for spending the day with me.
- 44:58Speaker 4: Yes, and thank you so much for having ye all.
- 45:01Speaker 2: Right, until next time, take care.
- 45:04Speaker 1: Are you ready to start a practice of your own,
