- 0:01Hello, hello and welcome to another episode of Found in
- 0:05Interpretation podcast. Once again, I'm one of your Co
- 0:09hosts Alambrado and I'm here Brian.
- 0:11Brian, how you doing? I'm doing fantastic, thanks.
- 0:13It's it's been a year and even though this is going to be
- 0:18published probably in the new year, the 2025 has been quite,
- 0:22quite the challenge. But excited to be here, excited
- 0:25to have Zavier on. Xavier, how are you doing?
- 0:27Today I'm doing great. Thank you for having me here.
- 0:30It's really a pleasure to see my face on the screen of this
- 0:33podcast I've watched so much lately.
- 0:36Yes, absolutely. It's going to be a good one.
- 0:38So don't forget everyone like share, subscribe, comment and
- 0:43all of that. So let's kick it.
- 0:56All right. Here we have Xavier Del Goupil
- 1:00and he is a student at the MC I, which is the Glendon program in
- 1:08conference interpretation. He's here with us to give us a
- 1:13bit of an update of what's going on at Glendon, and there's also
- 1:17an initiative going on. So Xavier, why don't you start
- 1:21with a bit of the background and explain what's the situation?
- 1:25The background of the university you mean, right?
- 1:27Well, you contacted us because you wanted to share an
- 1:33initiative that is going on at Glendon.
- 1:35I'm not gonna spoil it yet, but please tell us what is going on.
- 1:42How's the program doing? What's your impression, and
- 1:44what's? Not sure for sure.
- 1:45So yeah, so last year in November, end of November, the
- 1:512nd year court at that time, which are now the new alumni and
- 1:56discovered that they wouldn't have any intensives at all on
- 1:59that year. And that's when we discovered as
- 2:01well that after doing a 5 month process of getting into Glendon
- 2:06and starting our studies there, we discovered that we would
- 2:08probably not have an intensive either.
- 2:11So could. You explain because not everyone
- 2:14knows what the intensives are. Can you explain that?
- 2:17Yeah. So basically every year in
- 2:19Glendon, well in the past the second year was entirely in on
- 2:23site and you would have very great professors like Andy
- 2:26Gillies and Campbell Mitchell off and Ahmed and Karnowski and
- 2:30ipass coming to the school and giving in person teaching when
- 2:35and at the same time other resident professors would be
- 2:39giving year long classes. And during COVID it was cut to
- 2:45change to entirely online. And when COVID stopped, now
- 2:50professors would be coming 2 * 1 month, I think to give a
- 2:55intensive classes. So you will have weeks where you
- 2:57see them for maybe 10/15/20 hours at a time.
- 3:01And they would give you very good in person training, which
- 3:04is very different from online training.
- 3:06It can teach you to do sushi attach, to use the the booth
- 3:09tools and equipment or to just do some teamwork, have some
- 3:12presence doing, doing consecutive.
- 3:15And now these people have that now they're the students would
- 3:19have two months and a half more or less of on site classes.
- 3:23And now last year, we've learned that all those really great
- 3:26professors and some of which don't even want to teach online
- 3:31at all, or entirely online, well, we've learned that we
- 3:35don't have any intensives at all.
- 3:36The school would pay for their salary, but not for the travel
- 3:42costs or the flight, the hotel, the perdiem.
- 3:45And so, yeah, that's what happened.
- 3:48And the, the. Yeah.
- 3:50Yeah. Sorry, just to just to make sure
- 3:53I understand on the timeline here, last year at the same time
- 3:59we had an episode where there was a Go Fund Me, Yeah, because
- 4:05of that exact same situation. Are you saying that the same
- 4:11situation is happening this year without the Go Fund Me?
- 4:14But is that the same situation as last year?
- 4:17Is the same situation as last year.
- 4:19It's just we learned last year at the same time as the the, as
- 4:23the students from last year that we would have intensives and we
- 4:25decided to take things into our own hands and instead of just
- 4:30asking for handouts from people. And I'm pretty sure that's a lot
- 4:33of alumni and interpreters. Our friends of Glendon don't
- 4:39really want to have to pay for professors travel all the time.
- 4:43But we decided, well, why not try something else?
- 4:46So we're asking for donations if people are generous and are able
- 4:50to give them. But we're also organized a
- 4:54series of workshops for working interpreters with Andrew, our
- 4:57program director. So we have 6 different workshops
- 5:03this year. 7 workshops. Yeah, 7 workshops.
- 5:06So sorry, Brian, go ahead. So let's let's recap here.
- 5:11So basically what the what was happening before is that there
- 5:14were these intensive sessions with specialized professors who
- 5:18would come in and give you specifics on their subject.
- 5:23And it was way more effective than doing it online.
- 5:26I experienced the, the whole online thing.
- 5:27I was the COVID cohort and. Yeah, and I explained the
- 5:30on-site. Yeah, you experience the on
- 5:32site. So I will say that I am jealous
- 5:34a bit of Allana's experience now having having said that, yes,
- 5:39last year we did have Kathleen on twice, once to talk about the
- 5:44Go Fund me project that they had to be able to raise funds for
- 5:47the professors, the to bring them into Glendon for the
- 5:50cohorts. And the second one was the kind
- 5:53of like a recap of how it ended up working for them at the end.
- 5:58And now this time you're are you saying that you have both a Go
- 6:01Fund Me plus a series of workshops for professionals who
- 6:05are already interpreters? So we don't have more funny.
- 6:09We're all running that 300 platform called Zefi, which
- 6:12allows to both ask for donations and also to sell items.
- 6:18So the items we sell are tickets for workshops.
- 6:21So we have professors like Kinti and Andrew giving workshops.
- 6:25We also Evelyn Campbell coming for our three days intensive and
- 6:29master class on consecutive in April right before she gave us
- 6:32our intensives. So we used that website to
- 6:36streamline everything. I see, so the link would be in
- 6:39the description below. OK, and safely and I have some
- 6:43of these workshops already happened.
- 6:46Yeah, we had one in October and November in December.
- 6:49So we're trying to give one per month.
- 6:51We started in October and when L will end in April this month we
- 6:54had the covering. OK, she I think you might know
- 6:58her. She she's a pretty good.
- 7:00Friend of the podcast. Yeah, and a great trainer after
- 7:03translators and interpreters. So she gave a workshop on the
- 7:08tips to how to make Better Business decisions as a
- 7:12freelance interpreter. Maybe you're just starting or
- 7:15you're you're already a freelance and you want to know a
- 7:17bit more. And she's one of the greatest in
- 7:19North America to give you some coaching.
- 7:21And she was very generous to offer to do this for free.
- 7:24So we had her coming and the entire proceeds went to the
- 7:29travel cost of our professors. Yeah, she was part of my cohort
- 7:33and yeah, she's very generous with her time.
- 7:35And she's, yeah, she's, she's, she was a pleasure to have both
- 7:39times on her cohort. But also, if ever we go to like
- 7:41an American Translators Association conference, I'm sure
- 7:44she will be there. And I would love to, to catch up
- 7:47with her because she is, she's great.
- 7:49Yeah. So the the just to recap here,
- 7:54the workshops are being done by professionals in the in our
- 7:59industry and everyone is giving some of their free time in order
- 8:05to raise the funds to bring the instructors from wherever they
- 8:11are in the world and to bring them to Glendon.
- 8:16College. Not everyone is doing it for
- 8:18free, OK? Most of them are doing it on
- 8:21the, I think the majority do that for free.
- 8:25Some of them asked for a compensation.
- 8:28Most of them is something that's under the market price.
- 8:32So they're still doing it at a lower rate and they're giving
- 8:36their time generously and thinking upon professor who we
- 8:39did pay for his workshop, but he is doing such an incredible job
- 8:45at helping us getting spreading the word.
- 8:48That's in the end it's all paying off.
- 8:50They're doing it for very little and in the end the we can't ask
- 8:55people to do things for free if they don't want to so.
- 8:58Absolutely. Now, of course.
- 9:00Now let's let's promote the next ones.
- 9:02What are? What are?
- 9:02What do the next ones look like? The next one will be
- 9:05specifically for Mandarin English interpreters.
- 9:08It's called it's about English pitfalls for Mandarin
- 9:13interpreters. So it will be Shangu I think
- 9:17someone did one of you have like a being the same cohort as her I
- 9:21think. She was not the same cohort, she
- 9:23was a an, more like an instructor I think.
- 9:27She was one of the 1st to go through the program.
- 9:30Yeah, I don't know when she went through the program, but now
- 9:32she's an instructor. She, she's doing our DP for
- 9:35professionalism at London and she is giving this, this
- 9:40workshop with Andrew Clifford, our program director.
- 9:44So they'll they'll run through normal like very, I think it's
- 9:50very some idioms that are very hard to interpret from one
- 9:54language to the next. They'll be running through it.
- 9:56So that'll be for Mandarin interpreters exclusively in
- 9:59January. Is there a specific date?
- 10:02It is on January, January 14 if I remember correctly.
- 10:07OK, so you heard. It you heard her first here, go
- 10:10and sign up for. All right, we'll have to release
- 10:13the podcast quickly. Yeah, you.
- 10:15Have to go and we're gonna go and sign up now.
- 10:19So come and join the fun. So, OK, that's the, that's the
- 10:23workshop for January. Is there anything else
- 10:25following? That yeah, we have one workshop
- 10:28per month until April. So in April, in February, we'll
- 10:32have a Tina, Mattia Matelski N any of you when?
- 10:35Athena was in my cohort. We exactly.
- 10:38And now she's a professor at London.
- 10:39She was our professor for medical interpreting, the
- 10:43neutral and neutral clad language class OK last year.
- 10:47And she she was happy to help us.
- 10:49So she's giving a class in February about stress management
- 10:53for interpreters, specifically for stress management for
- 10:55freelancers. So how to multitask?
- 10:58All that goes around managing your own image and interpreting
- 11:05at the same time. And then in March, we'll have
- 11:08that workshop. We still don't exactly know the
- 11:12right the specifics of the of the subject, but we'll have
- 11:15Laurel come and originally our the the person was what was in
- 11:21charge for a long time after being sound tech for our
- 11:25program. It was totally dedicated to a
- 11:28Glendene interpreting program. It's been maybe 5 or 6 years.
- 11:32He's not now it's just working for the university, but they're
- 11:34both doing a podcast, not a podcast, but a workshop on how
- 11:39to maximize the sound quality during the workshop, how to deal
- 11:43with clients to make sure that another in your workshop during
- 11:47your contract. So all the you ensure that your
- 11:50plan as a proper gear and equipment.
- 11:52How do you make sure that you have the the proper things, all
- 11:56the sound works. So it will be a bit technical
- 11:59and theoretical and then a bit of practical aspect to it.
- 12:02Because I think Laura is pretty used to ensure that her clients
- 12:07understand the importance of some quality for both the
- 12:10outcome of the contract and for the interpreters themselves.
- 12:14Because you can get some pretty serious ear injury if I'm.
- 12:18If absolutely, yeah, yeah. So that's for March.
- 12:21You're gonna have like a kind of a techie session and then April.
- 12:26In April we have Helen coming, so she's coming a bit earlier
- 12:30than our intensive with us to give a three days master class
- 12:34on consecutive. So that when when Helen shows up
- 12:40at Glendon in person, is that reserved for the current cohort
- 12:47or any one of us for a fee can participate?
- 12:51So that's two different things. She's coming to give us a four
- 12:55days intensive, but right, she arrives a few days earlier to
- 13:00give a three days master class and those are for everyone.
- 13:06And yes, yeah, you can. You can buy either a three day
- 13:10pass on to be on their own site or if you want to be there
- 13:14online, it would be as a pure observer.
- 13:18So there's no interaction possible with Helen, but you can
- 13:21still follow the workshop and get her teaching.
- 13:26For three days. Yeah, she'll be there for three
- 13:28days. So it's 3 3 * 6 hours if I
- 13:31remember correctly. OK.
- 13:33And so that's April and then that that's the end of the
- 13:36series, right, because you get exactly then preparing for exams
- 13:40and your exams. So, OK, so then this the amount
- 13:45that is raised that you're raising, it's to be able to pay
- 13:49for the travel expenses for those intensive courses that
- 13:53you're explaining with there was I think 4/4 intensives.
- 13:58And there are three this year, 3.
- 14:00So they'll be Helen, Helen, Campbell, Ahmed and Anshu for
- 14:05the yeah, for the Mandarin. For the Mandarin cohort, OK,
- 14:08yeah, sounds good. And what do you have a goal in
- 14:10mind as to how much to raise in order to pay for all this
- 14:13travel? Yeah, for the travel, we already
- 14:15know we need a certain amount of money and then if you add the
- 14:21the what costs the intensive, not the intensive, but the
- 14:24workshop, it's around $20,000 that we need to raise.
- 14:28OK, now I'm going to ask a loaded question and I hope you
- 14:32can choose to answer now because you're you're a student at
- 14:34Glendon, not administrative. You don't have any
- 14:38administrative capacity at the university.
- 14:41But I guess my main question is why, like why are students
- 14:46having to come up with the funds in order to have these intensive
- 14:50courses instead of the university like York University,
- 14:53that is, that is like why are they not flipping the bill for
- 14:57this? It doesn't seem like a a huge
- 14:59amount of money for them, but it's a huge endeavor for you
- 15:02guys on top of the curriculum that you already have for this
- 15:06year and or last year and this year.
- 15:08Well, it's a very fair question and I think it warrants a very
- 15:11big answer. First of all, we don't have to
- 15:14do it. We could accept not to have
- 15:16intensives, but I was one of the students of our court who
- 15:21decided to come to Glendon because of these world class
- 15:26interpreters coming to give us on site teachings.
- 15:29And when I learned December personally, when I learned that
- 15:33they were not coming probably for us either, then you have two
- 15:37choice. I either you you you decide that
- 15:40you let it go and you won't have that high quality training.
- 15:44That's can be a make or break for your career or you decide to
- 15:48try and do something. And so it was either going a
- 15:52Glendon and trying to get my intensives or changing school.
- 15:58But then if I go to any other school in Europe, I need to pass
- 16:04certain exams, I'm busy studying and by the time I make I made a
- 16:09decision, I make a decision, maybe it's too late for the
- 16:12those admission entrance and some other students also didn't
- 16:15have the opportunity to go abroad.
- 16:16You know we've. Got there's something, sorry to
- 16:19interrupt, but there's something I don't understand in the
- 16:21timeline here because it was the same.
- 16:24The students from last year learned that at the last minute,
- 16:28and that's why they did the Go fund me.
- 16:30Yeah, you're one year after that, right?
- 16:34Yeah, one while you're after that.
- 16:35So and you so you didn't because you you must have known last
- 16:40year that if the students this year had to raise some money
- 16:44that you would be caught in the same situation, right?
- 16:47Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, I, I thought that I would
- 16:49have to do something and some other of my colleagues thought
- 16:53the same. And I decided to to be positive
- 16:57about it and think that whatever little we can raise for that we
- 17:01would raise it or and if we can raise the whole amount, which
- 17:04we're online, online to do it. By the way, we are already at
- 17:0750% of our fundraising goal already happy about that.
- 17:11We're really proud. And then we would try.
- 17:14It is because to to me it made no sense to go to Glendon
- 17:19without having those intensives. But also I didn't have the time
- 17:23to try to get into another school.
- 17:26I couldn't get to Geneva because the instructions were.
- 17:29Finished so you were at year you were last year, you were year
- 17:32one student and and let's say Cathleen and others were year 2
- 17:38students. The year 2 students learned that
- 17:41the instructors are not coming unless they have the funds.
- 17:45You are year one student. So back then you thought, oh,
- 17:50we're going to have the same problem.
- 17:53And then you said, well, I'm not going to change the whole thing.
- 17:56I still want to do year 2 at Glendon.
- 17:59So in order and and then you are caught between a rock and a hard
- 18:03place. And then you said, you know what
- 18:05I'm still going to do year to a Glendon and we're going to make
- 18:08sure that we also do the effort of bringing those instructors is
- 18:12that. Exactly.
- 18:14And to also give something to to the community, to those that
- 18:18would be willing to donate to us.
- 18:19It's not. If someone wants to donate of
- 18:22their money, that's great, but we understand that doing this
- 18:26two times in a year might not be as endearing.
- 18:28For it would have seemed silly. Yeah, right.
- 18:30Exactly. So we had to think about things
- 18:34during the summer and Andrew came up with the best idea,
- 18:38which was to organize workshops for interpreters so that those
- 18:42people that were going to give a few dollars for the program for
- 18:46well, for the travel cost of our professors would get something
- 18:50out in return. And they, they're high quality
- 18:52workshops as well. So they're getting something
- 18:53great in return. OK.
- 18:55And so we haven't been forced to do anything.
- 18:58I just I was. It's your initiative.
- 19:00Yeah, yeah. I was a bit obsessed to get my
- 19:02intensives and because I was having that mindset and Andrew
- 19:06had a very good idea, we ended up doing this.
- 19:09And rightfully so, because there is a huge difference.
- 19:13I mean, and I are testament to the different, the different
- 19:18level or the different quality of, of teaching when it's 100%
- 19:22online or if it's in person. So yeah, no, I understand where,
- 19:27where you're coming from and I think it's a great initiative.
- 19:30But again, I'm like, why isn't your university flipping the
- 19:34bill for this? Honestly, all I know is that
- 19:39most universities in the in North America are having budget
- 19:44crunches, big budget crunch. As you know, as you know,
- 19:46Monterey is closing the whole, the whole building.
- 19:51It's not just interpreting program, it's, it's a few
- 19:54hundred programs that are in that specific building in
- 19:57Monterey. I don't remember to what, what,
- 19:59which university they are affiliate to, but the whole
- 20:02thing is Middlebury. Yeah.
- 20:03So they they're, they're closing the whole of Monterey and
- 20:06Maryland. Maryland Masters interpreting is
- 20:09also closing I I know that my programming translation where I
- 20:13was studying before coming to London.
- 20:15I also cut. Where did you do it?
- 20:18In the invested Morial. OK, alright.
- 20:20Yeah, I was at university. I know there's there's a big
- 20:25budget crunch everywhere. I know that universities don't
- 20:28get as much foreign students as before because of new
- 20:32immigration policies because since COVID and with the trade
- 20:36war with China, I think that's a lot of factors are coming, are
- 20:39making coming to study in North America less palatable and less
- 20:43possible for immigrants and universities and generals have
- 20:47less farming students and that's a big budget cut for those
- 20:52universities and they're cutting drastically.
- 20:54Now where did, where did you come from in order to because
- 20:58you relocated to Toronto, right? Where did you relocate from?
- 21:02No, I relocated to Montreal. Actually, I was from Montreal
- 21:06originally, but after doing 4 years of studies in politics,
- 21:11economics and philosophy at the bachelor's level, I decided that
- 21:16studies were not for me because at the time I didn't see what
- 21:20kind of career or what I would get from these fields, which
- 21:23interested me greatly. So I ended up doing 7 years
- 21:26traveling in Australia and New Zealand and Europe, working
- 21:30there. And then I came back just for,
- 21:33just for, for the masters and at the end of actually.
- 21:36OK, so you're living in Toronto now and in order to do the
- 21:40Glendon program? No, I'm living in Montreal and I
- 21:42go to Toronto when we have on sites.
- 21:45I see. OK, OK.
- 21:47Yeah, so. You don't have.
- 21:48To you do have to relocate to attend the courses, but they're
- 21:52not getting the. Instructions.
- 21:54Yeah, I think that if I may be a bit more specific here, if I'm
- 22:00not mistaken, when I did my masters at Glendon, I stayed
- 22:04there for from let's say September till they kicked us
- 22:07out because of COVID in February or March 20, 20.
- 22:12But in your case, Xavier, you're going there just for a month
- 22:18here, a month there. It's it's not a long, long term
- 22:22stay, right? Now it's one month in September
- 22:25we were there but we only had Kinti, we had a month long Kitty
- 22:30intensive and and then we are going in January, from January 5
- 22:35to the 1st of February, we'll have Ahmed coming for the first
- 22:40week. He'll give us 5 days and she
- 22:42comfort comfort Mandarin class during the second week of
- 22:45January should also give us a mock conference that emulates
- 22:50the UN. She'll she'll give that to all
- 22:53language pairs. And after that she'll give her
- 22:55intensive 2 the Mandarin class. We'll have our Andrew intensive
- 23:00and then we'll go back home and we'll also have.
- 23:03Thank you, Helen. Helen also is coming.
- 23:06Ellen is coming in April. That's why our master classes in
- 23:09April, because she does it on site in Toronto right before our
- 23:13intensive. I see, because what I, what I
- 23:15was picturing is kind of like an AI lens experience was to be
- 23:18there all year round, right? And I believe that when when we
- 23:22had an auto university come on and explain what their masters
- 23:26program looked like, it seemed like you have to dedicate the
- 23:28entire school year to being in Ottawa on site and attending
- 23:32class every day. So it's a bit different of a
- 23:34structure with Glendon, I guess. Yeah, yeah.
- 23:39It must have been something for Anna because right now all the
- 23:41things you must have done like doing a shisha task, training
- 23:44and consequent person, now all of that has to be condensed in
- 23:49two months and a half instead of 1 full year.
- 23:52Must have been really really good for for you.
- 23:55In my case, I really enjoyed the experience with in the booth
- 24:00because there, there, there are some booths and you get to, you
- 24:04know, to to get a custom. It's it's really a simulation of
- 24:09what real life in a booth looks like, although now it's less and
- 24:14less likely that there are on site events, but it is the way
- 24:19it is. And from the virtual tour, they
- 24:22look great from a distance. For me, they look they look
- 24:26nicer than the stuff we get at some conferences.
- 24:30Well, back in the day though, the, the the booth was OK, but
- 24:34the, the devices themselves, there was always some tech
- 24:39issues. Yeah.
- 24:40So I think that now they're using basically a Zoom inside
- 24:45the booth or something like that, but.
- 24:47Yeah, Yeah, exactly. We are.
- 24:48We have our power stations connect directly to their big
- 24:52screen. We have Zoom.
- 24:53And when we're in the central room room, then we have now you
- 24:57know that that's big camera. There's like 3 or 4 cameras on
- 25:00that tower, and this is anyone that's talking, focusing on
- 25:04them. It's got a very good microphone.
- 25:06Is it like the owl? Yeah, that's the owl.
- 25:09OHK OK. Yeah, yeah.
- 25:11The only thing I don't like about the L is that in real
- 25:13life, if someone is safe sorting their papers, it'll catch that
- 25:16instead of someone's talking SO or someone like pouring
- 25:20themselves a glass of water. Anyway, so we shouldn't digress
- 25:24too much, although this is a podcast.
- 25:29So we're going to post in the description of this podcast the
- 25:38dates and the links to enroll in these workshops and we encourage
- 25:46everyone to participate. And I, I'm very thankful for
- 25:53everyone who's putting the effort into all of this because
- 25:58I think this is very important and it's simple also important
- 26:01to keep a good variety of programs and interpretations.
- 26:05So this way we'll we'll make sure that there's always some
- 26:09qualified people in the booth with us.
- 26:11Yeah, because I do. Have one last question, year
- 26:15one, is there a year one this year?
- 26:17There was no year one. So the the freeze, the the
- 26:22freezer mission last year for this year, OK.
- 26:24And right now, they're reshaping the program to ensure that next
- 26:29year they get admissions. OK.
- 26:31So it's gonna be a year one, maybe next year.
- 26:34Yeah, yeah. So Kinti went on a podcast.
- 26:37You're going to Sylvia's podcast This this, this new aren't Yeah.
- 26:41So she went to this podcast talk about it.
- 26:44They'll be so basically the masters program I'm doing, we
- 26:48don't see any major difference, only administrative ones.
- 26:52Although I from what I understand, the intensives on
- 26:55site won't be is a thing of the past that that's the way I
- 26:58understand it. Maybe that's not the the real
- 27:00the real case, but I know I think that's how it is.
- 27:03OK. And they're also thinking of
- 27:05doing new, either first, first level or like undergraduate or
- 27:10graduate diplomas, some diplomas for graduates that want to come
- 27:16back to prior to maybe get a tech update.
- 27:18So get a class from Michelle on how to use all those new tools
- 27:22that that are being developed by the industry all the time.
- 27:26And also undergraduate degree specifically for those language
- 27:31pairs which are not dominant in Canada.
- 27:34So either English and French with maybe Punjabi or indie or
- 27:39Native American language, for example.
- 27:42Yeah, also sign language. So that's what's on the table
- 27:46and that's what's being in the process of being approved right
- 27:50now. I see.
- 27:51OK, that explains why there's no year 1 cohort.
- 27:55Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly. Alright, sorry I had that one
- 27:59last question that was lagging. No, of course, of course.
- 28:02And as you said earlier, with with Maryland and and Monterey
- 28:08closing now if if Lennon closes then there's no more multi
- 28:13market multilanguage and conference differing masters in
- 28:17in North America and you'll have to go to Europe or do a program
- 28:21specifically for interpreting in the Parliament in Ottawa, which
- 28:26is still a great program in. But there's that offers a
- 28:30masters and there's Michael program at Laval University as
- 28:34well. Also it's it's a whole master in
- 28:36Oh yeah, now I thought it was a one year program.
- 28:39It's a mess. As far as I know it's a masters
- 28:42you gotta watch episode. I don't know, 20 something.
- 28:46OK, well, you. Get all the details.
- 28:48That's great news, then. Yeah.
- 28:51All right. So thank you very much, Xavier.
- 28:54I'll say it again. It's very important like share,
- 28:58subscribe and enroll in those workshops.
- 29:02So this way the students will be able to meet their teachers in
- 29:07person. And you know, in person is
- 29:10always so much better. Yes.
- 29:12Absolutely, yes. Absolutely, yeah.
- 29:14I can't wait to see them. Andrew, thanks for everything.
- 29:16Yeah. Thank you for coming on and
- 29:18thank you for all the the valuable info and good luck with
- 29:22your fundraiser. Thank you Take.
- 29:25Care. Alright, take care everyone.
