- Jessica Figueroa: Good morning, listeners. If you've been listening for any time now, you know we love talking about exercising creativity. One of the masters of creativity was a gentleman named Mike Vance. Most notably known for working alongside Walt Disney and helping his creative team. Also, it's been said that he worked with Steve Jobs on early Apple creations. He created his own programs and classes and trainings on creativity. But one of the exercises he would do in his own personal life to make sure that he was constantly tapping into his own creativity and growing that muscle is he would take baths every night. Now, that's one way to get clean, but Mike didn't just take a bath, he took bubble baths. And he did not just take bubble baths, he explored with bubbles, meaning different soaps, different scents, different size bubbles. He would get one and explore is the bubble size different? Does it crackle different? Have you taken a bubble bath recently? Bubbles are loud, like loud. So just for today, I want you guys to take a bubble bath. Want you, everything bubbles, almost everything bubbles, but it doesn't bubble the same. So I want you to take a bubble bath. But while you're in it, I want you to think of not being in a bubble bath. I want you to think of intentionally putting yourself in environments that spark your creativity. Because what Mike believed about his bubble baths was he would go through the day inputting information in his career, and then he would sit in his bubble bath and let all of that information work in his mind together. Kind of the same ideas on some of our podcasts when we've gone for long walks at the end of the night. It's the same concept. At the end of the night, doing something that helps your day get organized in your head. So maybe long walks are your thing. Maybe it's bubble baths. Mike Vance would go so far as To call ahead to hotels he was staying at and make sure that there was a bathtub. And he is considered one of the most creative geniuses in the past 70 years. So we could take a play out of his playbook and add this to one of our tools in our toolbox to unleash creativity. And we need our creativity for everything we do in our life. Everything requires creativity. So just for today, let's get in the bubble bath, get some bubbles going, sit in the bath, listen. Pay attention and tap into your creativity. I hope you guys have a great day and I'll talk to you tomorrow.
