Transcript
- 0:00Hi, it's Adam here. And if you've ever lost a pet,
- 0:06particularly. A pet.
- 0:07That you just spent a lot of time with and was there in a
- 0:10time of need and companionship. Then this hypnosis session you
- 0:15will certainly be able to relate to.
- 0:18I was working with a client who had a pet cat.
- 0:21The cat's name was Felix and Felix died and the cat died
- 0:27during a period of time where the client that I was working
- 0:30with was very, very busy completing a project and they
- 0:35had feelings of. Clearly grief.
- 0:38But also regret and perhaps even guilt connected to Could they
- 0:44have done more? Should they have done more?
- 0:46And this became a ruminating thought, which wasn't fair.
- 0:51You know, all of the feedback that they'd had from the likes
- 0:54of the vet and an analysis of what happened told them that
- 0:58this was a cat dying of natural causes.
- 1:01But part of their mind was wondering, ruminating, could
- 1:05they have done more? And that's really the essence of
- 1:08this hypnosis session. Partly it's a grief hypnosis
- 1:11session, but more than that, it's a way of reframing how they
- 1:16were thinking about their cat. To think of.
- 1:19How else do they also think in this way of could they have done
- 1:22more? Should they have done more?
- 1:24Are they responsible for the actions of other people?
- 1:27And they could relate to that. They could find different parts
- 1:30of their life where they held themselves to blame even though
- 1:34it had really nothing to do with them.
- 1:36And that's the essence of this. It's turning that internal witch
- 1:39tribe, all this witch hunt that was taking place in their head,
- 1:43into something much more useful. Also, this particular client
- 1:47could think of someone that had high standards.
- 1:51Really did. Learn from experiences to
- 1:53become. More.
- 1:54Competent and more proficient, but without blaming and shaming
- 1:58and carrying around guilt. So we actually harnessed this as
- 2:01an internal role model and access that part, that archetype
- 2:05within themselves so that they could move forward without
- 2:10feeling like they have to hold onto the baggage of the past.
- 2:14This is a grief and almost internal ruminating, intrusive
- 2:20thought hypnosis session, but it's also more than that.
- 2:23It's a way of letting go of those things that don't serve
- 2:26you and moving on from an identity that is actually may
- 2:29have good intentions, but actually holding you back.
- 2:32The session itself was created for an individual.
- 2:35It's unlikely that you have a recently deceased cat called
- 2:38Felix, for example, but the essence of the hypnosis session
- 2:41I think would apply to many more people than just that unique
- 2:45circumstance. That said, if you do like the
- 2:47idea of a bespoke session working directly with me, have a
- 2:51look in the description for a link.
- 2:54That will take. You to a place where you can
- 2:55book a free consultation call. For now, though, find a quiet,
- 2:59comfortable place where you won't be disturbed.
- 3:02Relax and enjoy the session. Take a deep breath in, and as
- 3:26you breathe in, breathe in that slow, long, relaxing breath of
- 3:33relaxation. And as you exhale, that's it.
- 3:41Just allow your eyelids to close.
- 3:45And as they close, feel the heaviness of those eyelids
- 3:50giving you a sense of release, releasing tension, stress, and
- 3:58any worries. And when you breathe in, allow
- 4:05yourself to breathe in just a little bit deeper than the
- 4:11breath before. As you start to activate your
- 4:17diaphragm, not just breathing from the chest, but breathing
- 4:23deeper down. And the deeper you breathe, the
- 4:31more breath you have in your lungs, so that as you exhale,
- 4:35that outward breath will also be longer, Elongate the outward
- 4:42breath. I don't want you to imagine a
- 4:47candle maybe 2 meters in front of you as you breathe out.
- 4:54Just imagine breathing out towards that candle until you
- 4:57can imagine it flickering, until your lungs are completely empty,
- 5:05nothing else left. And only then taking the next
- 5:11breath in, but a breath of pure distilled concentrated
- 5:21relaxation. Breathing in that relaxation and
- 5:28exhaling any tension. And you can consider the process
- 5:34of breathing like an emotional transfusion, breathing in the
- 5:42resources you need and exhaling those heavy emotions you've been
- 5:49holding onto. Any guilt, any shame, any
- 5:58stress, any sadness. Just allow those emotions to
- 6:05feel like they're leaving your body in that outward breath.
- 6:16And the deeper you breathe, the more relaxed you become.
- 6:22And the more relaxed you become, the deeper you breathe.
- 6:28And I want you to imagine a particular couch.
- 6:35And on that couch, I want you to see a familiar face, a furry
- 6:43face. I want you to see that cat of
- 6:48yours there relaxing on the couch.
- 6:58But this is just your imagination.
- 7:03And in your imagination, things that aren't possible in reality
- 7:10are certainly possible within the infinite possibilities of
- 7:17your unconscious. And I want you to imagine how it
- 7:23would feel to sit there on the couch, to imagine the sensation
- 7:32of feeling the fur as you stroke, perhaps starting at the
- 7:39top of the head downwards. That gentle caress, that
- 7:45soothing motion. And maybe you can imagine
- 7:49hearing some purring. The purrs of satisfaction,
- 7:55complete trust and relaxation. That's it.
- 8:00And the sound of the purrs, the breathing, takes you even
- 8:10deeper, relaxed. I want you to imagine that this
- 8:19isn't your cat. It's your unconscious
- 8:22representation of your cat. And let's give your cat a voice
- 8:32so that you could imagine you can communicate and your cat can
- 8:40respond. I want you to start with sharing
- 8:49all of the wonderful ways in which your cat Felix made you
- 8:59feel happy, grateful, the impact that Felix had in your life.
- 9:09Just imagine as you stroke Felix sharing these feelings.
- 9:20Maybe Felix was a companion there in difficult times.
- 9:28Maybe Felix did funny things that made you smile.
- 9:37I want you to share deeply all the ways that you can be
- 9:42grateful that Felix positively influenced your life.
- 9:52And once you've done that, let me know by nodding your head.
- 10:02And then I want you to imagine Felix reciprocates.
- 10:09I want you to imagine Felix start sharing with you all the
- 10:14ways in which you enriched Felix's life.
- 10:21Imagine the voice that if Felix had a voice, would talk in BB.
- 10:30Felix is talking about the love you shared, affection,
- 10:39thoughtfulness. But when you needed Felix was
- 10:53there for you, and when Felix needed you were there for Felix.
- 11:01This was a relationship was mutually beneficial, so imagine
- 11:12hearing directly from Felix all the ways in which Felix was
- 11:17grateful for you. And when Felix has shared those
- 11:24thoughts, let me know by nodding your head.
- 11:28And I want you to share something.
- 11:38If there was any regrets, any feelings that you could have
- 11:44done more, I want you to articulate that to Felix now.
- 11:51And maybe, maybe it's that you wish you could have give a bit
- 11:57more attention and consideration in those last days when Felix
- 12:03was alive. But I want you to imagine, Felix
- 12:13responds with a different perspective.
- 12:22Hear the words from Felix, perhaps telling you he had more
- 12:31than enough water and was sleepy because he wasn't very well.
- 12:41Felix is telling you then there's nothing you could have
- 12:46done differently that would have changed things, or that Felix
- 12:52was just happy then you were around.
- 13:00And with every word I want you to feel, then any sadness or
- 13:06guilt is leaving your body just melting away.
- 13:18I want you to imagine Felix now climbs up, just sits on your
- 13:24lap, sits on your laps and purrs, letting you know that the
- 13:33love, the trust, is implicit. Felix felt comfortable, and
- 13:47there was no other place that Felix wanted to be.
- 13:55And I want you to think while Felix is sleeping on your lap,
- 14:05about a courtroom. Just imagine an official
- 14:12courtroom with a judge, a jury, a witness stand.
- 14:23And I want you to see how you've put yourself on trial for a
- 14:30crime you didn't commit. And I want you to see that you
- 14:39yourself are on trial, but also you yourself are the
- 14:45prosecution. And I want you to see that there
- 14:50is an absence of any defence. And when someone is put on trial
- 15:02and that trial has no defence and the person on trial is going
- 15:12to be found guilty no matter what evidence is submitted,
- 15:18quite often that is known as a sham trial or a a witch hunt,
- 15:25that whatever happens they will be found guilty.
- 15:32And I want you to get a sense then.
- 15:36Just because you felt sad at the losing of a precious pet doesn't
- 15:42mean someone needs to be found guilty.
- 15:48Sometimes there can just be gratitude and acceptance.
- 16:01I want you to imagine we change the courtroom into a panel of
- 16:14investigation. I want you to imagine a vet is
- 16:20there, the Felix is there. I want you to imagine that all
- 16:27the evidence is there and the purpose is not to find blame,
- 16:35not for repercussions or punishment, but just to extract
- 16:42wisdom. And maybe that wisdom is to
- 16:49appreciate the things you love even more.
- 16:54Or maybe that wisdom is to have more balance.
- 17:00Or maybe it's something else. But allow your unconscious mind
- 17:06to extract the wisdom, the insights, knowing all the
- 17:14information. I want you to think less about
- 17:17the past and more about the future.
- 17:25Allow your unconscious mind to be looking to extract wisdom
- 17:30like Nuggets of gold surrounded by soil and pebbles.
- 17:37It's the wisdom that has the value, and wisdom is only useful
- 17:45if it changes the future. Future decisions, future
- 17:53behaviour, the future priorities, and when you feel
- 17:59that you have extracted the value from what really happened.
- 18:06No witch hunt, no blame game, just extracting wisdom.
- 18:12When you've extracted that wisdom, let me know by nodding
- 18:16your head. That's it.
- 18:24And I want you to feel that an open loop has now closed.
- 18:32No need to spend time in the past.
- 18:38You are now looking forward. What will you do with this new
- 18:45wisdom? What will you do to enrich the
- 18:50quality of your life? And what if the real wisdom
- 18:56isn't about Felix at all? The real wisdom is that you are
- 19:05worthy. The real wisdom is that just
- 19:10because something could have been different doesn't mean that
- 19:13you're to blame. No need for punishment, no need
- 19:21for guilt. Just extracting wisdom.
- 19:27Just gathering experience. And I want you to feel that the
- 19:31more experience you gather, the more formidable and aligned and
- 19:39balanced you become. I want you to imagine you're no
- 19:46longer there in that investigation room.
- 19:49I want you to imagine that you're going back in time to see
- 19:53someone that you truly admired and respected.
- 19:59Someone that was willing to learn from the past but not live
- 20:05in it. I want you to see someone that
- 20:13was willing to evolve. To refine their approach but not
- 20:21punish themselves. They were more focused on moving
- 20:26forward. No need to be a martyr, No need
- 20:33to self flagellate. I want you to see a person that
- 20:38would take their wins and learn their lessons, but they were
- 20:42focused on moving forward. When you can see that person
- 20:47from your past, let me know by nodding your head.
- 20:57I want you to imagine that this is an archetype.
- 21:05Someone with beliefs and strategies that may be useful
- 21:11for you. I want you to imagine stepping
- 21:17into their body by thinking about something recent that
- 21:24caused intrusive or ruminating thoughts.
- 21:29But think about that same thing from this perspective of this
- 21:33person that you admire deeply. Someone that would focus on the
- 21:39future, not dwell in the past and through the lens of their
- 21:46perception get a sense of how much more motivated.
- 21:55But rather than holding you back and tiring you out, the same
- 22:00situation could be a catalyst for more motivation, more focus,
- 22:09inspiration to do things differently.
- 22:14Because it isn't what happens, it's the meaning that you give
- 22:20the thing that happens. And some people will look at a
- 22:24thing that happens and take full blame and responsibility even if
- 22:30there is none to be found, while others will look at the same
- 22:34thing and it will be a springboard into a more
- 22:40empowered future. I want you to feel that you have
- 22:45a choice, that you can choose to continue your life where you're
- 22:52always at fault, always at blame and need to punish yourself, to
- 22:59have a sense of justice. Or you can go forwards where if
- 23:08you need to be responsible, you'll take ownership.
- 23:17True ownership is not punishing yourself for the past, it's
- 23:23improving who you are in the future.
- 23:28And if this feels like a more desirable pathway, then allow
- 23:34your subconscious mind to activate all the neural pathways
- 23:39and beliefs necessary to feel that sometimes things just
- 23:45happen. Sometimes it just is what it is.
- 23:51Sometimes an investigation isn't even necessary.
- 23:56Onwards and upwards, another day, another page.
- 24:03Keep moving forward. And if your unconscious is
- 24:09willing to lean into this way of thinking that you can let go of
- 24:17all of that heaviness of your past, all of that blame and
- 24:22shame, let that go and step into a new version of you.
- 24:30You're not being someone else. You're just being a version of
- 24:36you that is accountable, takes responsibility.
- 24:41But in doing so pays things forward.
- 24:46You're focused on making changes into your future, not ruminating
- 24:51about the past. And if you're willing to step
- 24:54into that future, then let me know by nodding your head.
- 25:00That's it. No more witch hunts.
- 25:06No more blame games. You either win, or you learn the
- 25:12purpose of a ruminating thought is only to extract the wisdom.
- 25:18Not to punish yourself, not to find blame, just to extract
- 25:24wisdom. And the moment you extract the
- 25:27wisdom and have an idea of how it will change the future, those
- 25:35open loops will close and the need for any ruminating thought
- 25:40will melt away. I want you to imagine being back
- 25:46on that couch, Felix there on your lap.
- 25:52And I want you to say goodbye, that you will be grateful for
- 25:58the time you had together. But by saying goodbye, you are
- 26:07releasing yourself the guilt and blame that was never yours to
- 26:15hold. Felix was never going to be an
- 26:23immortal cat, and therefore you can be grateful for the time you
- 26:33had together, but with no need to punish yourself anymore.
- 26:43And as you say goodbye to Felix, hear the words from Felix.
- 26:52Felix is saying you don't need to be forgiven because you did
- 26:55nothing wrong. Hear that Felix wants you to be
- 27:02happy, and Felix wants you to have happy memories, not sad and
- 27:12not blame. And then imagine seeing Felix
- 27:24hop off your lap and walk away, maybe into a portal of glowing
- 27:32light, or maybe through an open door.
- 27:40Whatever comes into your mind is exactly how it should be.
- 27:42And allow the sadness to be the fertile ground in which
- 27:51gratitude will grow. It's now time to leave this
- 27:57place. But you leave with this new
- 28:03version of you where your focus is now forward.
- 28:14So take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your
- 28:19nose. Just wiggle your fingers and
- 28:22wiggle your toes. Connect and calibrate into the
- 28:24here and the now. That's it as I now count from
- 28:311:00 to 10:00 to awaken you starting to count 123 Waking up
- 28:41456, more alert 7-8. Open your eyes.
- 28:45Open your eyes. 910. Wide awake, Wide awake, wide
- 28:50awake.
