Transcript
- 0:00SPEAKER_01: If you use social media to grow your business, I'm going to give you some advice today that's pretty much exactly the opposite of everything that you hear, even stuff that I've told you before.
- 0:08SPEAKER_01: But if you do it a certain way, if you implement what I'm about to teach you, it could absolutely 10x your business quickly.
- 0:15SPEAKER_00: The massive agent podcast.
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: We need generation tips and strategies to give you more leads and sell more homes.
- 0:23SPEAKER_01: I love to buy houses.
- 0:24SPEAKER_01: I like to sell houses.
- 0:28SPEAKER_00: Wait a minute.
- 0:30SPEAKER_00: Leads a week.
- 0:31SPEAKER_00: You a week.
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: I've had better.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 0:35SPEAKER_00: Have I got your attention now?
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: Here's your host, Dustin Brome.
- 0:41SPEAKER_01: What's up, guys?
- 0:42SPEAKER_01: Welcome to episode 452 of the Massive Agent Podcast.
- 0:46SPEAKER_01: I am your host, Dustin Brome in Salt Lake City, Utah.
- 0:50SPEAKER_01: And to be honest, this is the second time recording this episode because even though I've been even though I've been doing this damn podcast for eight and a half years now, uh just yesterday, I recorded version one of this, which we'll never see the light of day, without even plugging in the mic.
- 1:06SPEAKER_01: Didn't even think about it.
- 1:07SPEAKER_01: I was so like preoccupied and so in a rush to do the episode that I didn't even think to plug in the mic.
- 1:13SPEAKER_01: I didn't even think to check the audio levels.
- 1:15SPEAKER_01: You'd think by now I'd figure this out.
- 1:17SPEAKER_01: It seems like I do this shit like two or three times a year.
- 1:20SPEAKER_01: Uh whatever.
- 1:22SPEAKER_01: But that was the best episode ever.
- 1:23SPEAKER_01: And now I have to top that.
- 1:25SPEAKER_01: So, and this will be short and sweet.
- 1:26SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:27SPEAKER_01: This is for anyone who's who's a content creator to grow your business.
- 1:33SPEAKER_01: And either you're burned out because there's just so many things going on and you're trying to keep up and you just have way too many activities, or you're bored or uninspired with the content you're doing.
- 1:44SPEAKER_01: So you're you're in one of two camps.
- 1:46SPEAKER_01: And if you're not, if you're totally just stoked and dialed in, like, cool, I'd still encourage you to listen.
- 1:51SPEAKER_01: You'll get something out of this because at some point you will get to a place where you feel a little bored.
- 1:56SPEAKER_01: You feel like it's a little stale, you're a little uninspired with what you're doing as far as your content goes.
- 2:02SPEAKER_01: And quite honestly, I'm in one of these weird places right now where I'm just like, I'm just kind of over it.
- 2:08SPEAKER_01: And I'm still putting out content, I'm still trying new things, but I'm just a little bit uninspired.
- 2:13SPEAKER_01: So I what I'm about to teach you is exactly the advice that I'm giving myself and that I'm following currently.
- 2:20SPEAKER_01: And it's it's absolutely helping.
- 2:22SPEAKER_01: So I I'll give you, if you're burned out just because of way too much activity going on, I have some very specific advice for you.
- 2:29SPEAKER_01: But let's start with anyone, any agent who's creating content and you're just you're doing it consistently, but you're just like uh you feel like it's not connecting, you're kind of bored with it.
- 2:39SPEAKER_01: And maybe you feel like you're posting what you should be posting.
- 2:43SPEAKER_01: So if you get to that point, you're just bored, you're uninspired, you're just kind of over it, and you want to stay to hell with it for a while.
- 2:49SPEAKER_01: I would encourage you, instead of just throwing in the towel, do something completely new.
- 2:55SPEAKER_01: Do something that sounds fun to you, to hell with what you think you should be doing.
- 3:01SPEAKER_01: Like if you're in a place where you can be intentional about what you're posting and follow a certain blueprint that's that's proven to work for attracting business and it fits in with what you enjoy, great.
- 3:12SPEAKER_01: But if you're not there yet, you need to lean in heavy to what is fun.
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: Like what type of content do you want to do?
- 3:20SPEAKER_01: What sounds fun to do?
- 3:22SPEAKER_01: Because if you're not enjoying it, I promise you, the viewers can tell.
- 3:25SPEAKER_01: Like whoever's consuming your content, they can tell it's just not great that you're not into it.
- 3:30SPEAKER_01: And if you're not into it, if you're not feeling it, neither are they.
- 3:35SPEAKER_01: So to hell with the blueprint, the roadmap, like, you know, this plan that you feel like I need to be doing content this way, you've lost interest.
- 3:44SPEAKER_01: So just do what's do something that sounds fun.
- 3:46SPEAKER_01: Like seriously, just have fun with your content.
- 3:49SPEAKER_01: And when you do that, over time, and this could happen over a day, like it could be super quick, it could take a few weeks.
- 3:56SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 3:57SPEAKER_01: But when you lean into what's what's enjoyable, you will find your way back to fitting that into the content strategy that is meant for your ideal audience and that does attract clients.
- 4:08SPEAKER_01: But it takes experimenting.
- 4:09SPEAKER_01: So try new things.
- 4:10SPEAKER_01: Like something that that I've always wanted to do, that um I am doing very soon, is like the man on the street stuff, like going up to people randomly at a store or out on the sidewalk or something and asking them something and you know, doing that a few times and just getting like raw reactions out of people.
- 4:27SPEAKER_01: I've never done anything like that.
- 4:29SPEAKER_01: It's definitely out of my comfort zone.
- 4:31SPEAKER_01: But that seems like that sounds kind of exciting.
- 4:33SPEAKER_01: And I'm gonna, I'm gonna play with that.
- 4:35SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna experiment with that a little bit.
- 4:37SPEAKER_01: Some of some of the stuff that I've really enjoyed that I've actually received a lot of comments about that I've been doing on social over the last year or two is stuff that I just, I'm like, you know what?
- 4:48SPEAKER_01: That seems fun.
- 4:49SPEAKER_01: Let me do that.
- 4:50SPEAKER_01: Like I can, I can be sarcastic, I can be uh, you know, do this goofy thing.
- 4:54SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna have fun with it.
- 4:56SPEAKER_01: And a lot of times that shit performs the best.
- 4:59SPEAKER_01: So there was a time recently, I'd say like two and a half to three years ago, I was I was one of those people that I know I've even said it on this podcast, I don't do skits, not really my style.
- 5:11SPEAKER_01: You know, I I'm I'm more of like a talking head, like let me let me speak to the camera type person.
- 5:15SPEAKER_01: Well, then I got bored of that and I realized so did everybody else.
- 5:18SPEAKER_01: And then I tried doing some skits.
- 5:21SPEAKER_01: I I think Bob Tompkins from um from That's Real Estate, who does, I believe, some of the funniest shit on the internet uh for the real estate industry.
- 5:31SPEAKER_01: I believe he had me on one of his skits.
- 5:34SPEAKER_01: And in that, like I had fun and I was like, huh, that wasn't so bad.
- 5:38SPEAKER_01: And then I just kind of leaned into doing some sarcastic stuff myself.
- 5:41SPEAKER_01: Because I, if you haven't noticed, if you're new to this show, I'm a giant smart ass.
- 5:46SPEAKER_01: And so if I'm able to be a giant smart ass and sarcastic with my content, I enjoy it a lot more.
- 5:53SPEAKER_01: And I've learned, so do you.
- 5:55SPEAKER_01: So do so do the people that are that are watching my stuff.
- 5:59SPEAKER_01: And I wouldn't have ever done that if I had just like stuck to this.
- 6:04SPEAKER_01: Well, here, here's what I here's what all the experts are telling me that I should do.
- 6:09SPEAKER_01: I just got bored and decided I need to do something new.
- 6:13SPEAKER_01: Let me experiment, let me try new things, let me do something that sounds fun to me.
- 6:16SPEAKER_01: And I found something that works 10 times better.
- 6:19SPEAKER_01: And my audience grew 10 times more.
- 6:22SPEAKER_01: And my business results, actual clients, actual agent partners, all of it, all it all improved.
- 6:31SPEAKER_01: So to hell with what you think you should do if you're bored and uninspired.
- 6:38SPEAKER_01: Do something fun and interesting that you want to do that you'd enjoy.
- 6:43SPEAKER_01: And I think you'd realize that's that's really the right path.
- 6:47SPEAKER_01: Now, of course, at some point, like if it's totally random and totally, you know, not relevant to your ideal audience, like we we've got to figure out how to then bring it back to to generate conversations and actual clients from the content.
- 6:58SPEAKER_01: There is a way.
- 7:00SPEAKER_01: In fact, I do a small group that we're we're starting next week.
- 7:05SPEAKER_01: So we did this a few months ago.
- 7:07SPEAKER_01: It's called the the Instagram listing blitz.
- 7:09SPEAKER_01: It's a 45-day intensive program for just 10 agents.
- 7:13SPEAKER_01: And there is an investment required.
- 7:15SPEAKER_01: So this is only for agents that are really serious about growing, want my help one-on-one, holding your hand, to show you how to how to tweak your content, how to add certain calls to action to get actual conversations and clients.
- 7:28SPEAKER_01: You do have to apply for it.
- 7:29SPEAKER_01: There is time to get into the next round what starts next week, but you got to act quick.
- 7:34SPEAKER_01: MassiveAgen Society.com slash blitz.
- 7:37SPEAKER_01: MassiveAgen Society.com slash blitz if you want to apply for that.
- 7:40SPEAKER_01: This is if you're new to content creation, this is not for you.
- 7:44SPEAKER_01: You can take my clients from social course, that'll help you out much more.
- 7:47SPEAKER_01: This is for those who are creating content.
- 7:50SPEAKER_01: You've posted hundreds and hundreds, if not thousands of times.
- 7:53SPEAKER_01: You just haven't figured out how to get business yet.
- 7:56SPEAKER_01: Well, I've got the blueprint and I'll teach you.
- 7:58SPEAKER_01: Um I mean, do you like how I threw that, threw in that call to action?
- 8:02SPEAKER_01: And it was, it was totally relevant at the time, but now I'm like, how the hell do I get back to the to the content here?
- 8:09SPEAKER_01: Um look, there is a blueprint that works for getting clients.
- 8:13SPEAKER_01: And there also is a way where you can have fun doing things your way that also fits into that.
- 8:20SPEAKER_01: You may just need someone from the outside holding your hand through it.
- 8:23SPEAKER_01: One of my favorite quotes, my good friend and a great real estate coach, Neil Mathweg, I heard this first from him.
- 8:30SPEAKER_01: He said that you can't read the label from inside the bottle.
- 8:34SPEAKER_01: And I how how true is that?
- 8:37SPEAKER_01: Like when you're in your shit and you're in your head and you're in the trenches and you're in all the minutiae, someone from the outside can give really good advice because they can see clearly what's happening without being bogged down by all the stuff.
- 8:49SPEAKER_01: And so sometimes you need someone on the outside who can see your strengths and weaknesses, see what you're doing, and realize, oh, you know what?
- 8:57SPEAKER_01: That's actually like, no, let's let's do these things, let's tweak that, let's reword this, let's add this call to action.
- 9:02SPEAKER_01: You know what?
- 9:03SPEAKER_01: Here's here's how to do lead magnets.
- 9:05SPEAKER_01: And that's when it takes off.
- 9:06SPEAKER_01: Most of you are not like most of you don't need a 180 degree switch to start getting business from your from social media.
- 9:15SPEAKER_01: Usually it's like a little adjustment of a few degrees.
- 9:19SPEAKER_01: Maybe there's 10%, like a 10% adjustment, maybe, but that's doable.
- 9:24SPEAKER_01: And sometimes you need someone on the outside to do that.
- 9:26SPEAKER_01: So if you feel like you're there and you need that and you want me to be that person to show you this proven blueprint that's worked for our previous group of 10 to get two and a half million views in just those 45 days, they've earned almost$100,000 in commission in those 45 days.
- 9:42SPEAKER_01: And damn it, I don't have it pulled up in front of me.
- 9:44SPEAKER_01: I built a whole dashboard for everybody.
- 9:46SPEAKER_01: Oh, here we go.
- 9:47SPEAKER_01: The average lift in reach, the average agent in that group of 10 had 8,741% increase in lift over those 45 days.
- 9:59SPEAKER_01: Do you think if you had that many more people seeing your stuff, would that impact your business in a positive way?
- 10:04SPEAKER_01: I think it would.
- 10:06SPEAKER_01: I'd like for you to apply if this sounds like it's what you need, MassiveAgenSociety.com slash blitz, and we will have a one-on-one interview after I look through your application to see if you are a good fit for it.
- 10:18SPEAKER_01: Because damn, it works.
- 10:20SPEAKER_01: Guys, have fun with your content.
- 10:22SPEAKER_01: It doesn't need to be crazy.
- 10:24SPEAKER_01: It doesn't need to be this big elaborate thing.
- 10:26SPEAKER_01: In fact, and also if you're burned out, if you just have so much going on and you're having a hard time just getting to the content, you got to figure out how to do content that takes less time.
- 10:36SPEAKER_01: So it now, I hired a full-time videographer.
- 10:39SPEAKER_01: I have the resources and the means to do that.
- 10:41SPEAKER_01: For the majority of my career, I would have killed to have that opportunity, but I do now, and it's helped me do a lot more.
- 10:46SPEAKER_01: If you can hire a videographer, even if they're part-time, that can handle the shooting, the editing, and maybe even the posting of your stuff, how much time will that save?
- 10:56SPEAKER_01: Probably a dramatic amount of time.
- 10:58SPEAKER_01: So some of you need to make an investment into someone who can do the posting.
- 11:02SPEAKER_01: Maybe it's a VA that can do that, like the manual, you know, copy this, pay, you know, upload the video, post this here.
- 11:10SPEAKER_01: I also use a tool called Repurpose that is so my primary focus is Instagram.
- 11:16SPEAKER_01: With repurpose, I have it set up to where when I post something on Instagram, it automatically takes it, formats it a certain way, posts it natively in TikTok, posts it natively in YouTube Shorts, and Facebook as well as a reel.
- 11:30SPEAKER_01: All I have to do is post it once.
- 11:32SPEAKER_01: So it's it's not like uh Hoot Suite or Buffer or one of those things.
- 11:36SPEAKER_01: It's it is a little bit different, and I love it.
- 11:39SPEAKER_01: I think I have a free trial for that.
- 11:41SPEAKER_01: Massive go to MassiveAgenentSociety.com slash resources, and I have a discount or a free trial link to that repurpose for sure.
- 11:50SPEAKER_01: MassiveAgenentSociety.com slash resources, and I have a whole bunch of other stuff, free trials, discount codes, um, and other stuff to help you grow your business.
- 12:00SPEAKER_01: So, guys, if you're burned out, you need someone to help you do the stuff because chances are you're just doing too much.
- 12:07SPEAKER_01: Maybe you need to batch record, you know, set aside three hours on a Friday and just bust out a bunch of videos.
- 12:15SPEAKER_01: Get really good at like doing simple posts that you don't have to think too hard about.
- 12:20SPEAKER_01: It doesn't always have to be this big production.
- 12:22SPEAKER_01: You don't always have to have a video with a script.
- 12:24SPEAKER_01: In fact, if you're if you're struggling to get shit done, I would say don't do any of that.
- 12:28SPEAKER_01: Like just do like do some carousel posts with some simple images or videos or just short little eight-second things.
- 12:34SPEAKER_01: Like just watch, pay attention to what you're paying attention to.
- 12:38SPEAKER_01: Really pay attention to what grabs your attention when you're scrolling your feed and do some of that relevant to your audience.
- 12:46SPEAKER_01: Because content doesn't need to take a ton of time.
- 12:49SPEAKER_01: We choose to let it take a ton of time.
- 12:52SPEAKER_01: So if you're actually burned out, need someone to do the posting for you, or schedule it ahead of time, get an editor if you're doing the editing, do simple content that doesn't take much time.
- 13:03SPEAKER_01: Use the edits app.
- 13:04SPEAKER_01: Like I actually love using the templates in the edits app.
- 13:07SPEAKER_01: And then you can just plug your own content into the little slots in the template, saves a ton of time.
- 13:13SPEAKER_01: And you don't have to really think creatively.
- 13:14SPEAKER_01: You're just like, oh, cool, I like that.
- 13:16SPEAKER_01: I like how that looks.
- 13:18SPEAKER_01: Let me reframe it and rephrase it for my audience.
- 13:20SPEAKER_01: Boom, there you go.
- 13:21SPEAKER_01: And you know, four minutes later, you got a post done.
- 13:25SPEAKER_01: I'm a big fan of simplifying because on social, a lot of times, simple is what works the best.
- 13:33SPEAKER_01: So there is light at the end of the tunnel.
- 13:36SPEAKER_01: Keep going.
- 13:36SPEAKER_01: Content, I believe, is still the most powerful and fastest way to build a personal brand and to build a client-generating machine where people know you, they trust you, they want to work with you, and they remember you when the time comes to hire an agent.
- 13:50SPEAKER_01: I believe content is the way.
- 13:52SPEAKER_01: You just need to have the blueprint, you need to have someone help you to do it.
- 13:56SPEAKER_01: Go get it.
- 13:57SPEAKER_01: Thank you so much for listening.
- 13:59SPEAKER_01: This was better than the last one.
- 14:00SPEAKER_01: I think I rambled more on the last episode.
- 14:03SPEAKER_01: Well, the the no the the what do you call it?
- 14:06SPEAKER_01: The the lost tape, right?
- 14:08SPEAKER_01: The the the lost tapes.
- 14:10SPEAKER_01: Man, if I added up all the lost tapes of the Massive Agent podcast, I'd have a I'd have like a full album for sure.
- 14:16SPEAKER_01: Appreciate you guys.
- 14:17SPEAKER_01: Please share this episode with any agent who doesn't know about this podcast or that needs this message in particular.
- 14:24SPEAKER_01: Help me to reach more agents who need this, who need this advice, who need this help.
- 14:29SPEAKER_01: And I'll keep coming back every week with a new episode.
- 14:31SPEAKER_01: We'll see you guys next time.
