The main story of today that we're talking about is Nancy

Guthrie. Nancy Guthrie, 84 year old

grandmother. She is the mother of Today Show

streetlights because they don't want the light pollution,

because they want to be able to see the stars.

It's a place without sidewalks. It's a place with large, large

home lots that are at least an acre.

They each one of these lots are filled with desert vegetation,

cacti, shrubbery, trees, things like that, that kind of hide the

houses that are tucked up in these in these beautiful little

little properties. And Nancy's house was exactly

that. A beautiful little home looked

like it had a little casita behind it or a pool house had a

pool single story home kind of up off of the road behind a

bunch of vegetation where I think that people with nefarious

intent certainly could do their deeds.

And indeed, we have seen video footage released by the FBI of

such a person who is armed, who is masked, who is beloved, who

is trying to cover up a camera. And indeed, that camera was

missing once police were called to the area.

Police have gone around and have talked to neighbors and have oh

have brought up certain dates January the. 11th is one of

those dates that they have brought up trying to get

neighbors to see if they have any other sort of footage or in

any recollection, remembrance. There's also been other dates

that have been brought up by some of the neighbors.

But anyway, Sheriff Nanos went on the speaking tour again.

I've got a couple of, oh, what should I say?

Real quick. The last time Nancy Guthrie was

seen was January 31st. It was a Saturday night.

She was dropped off at her home by family members.

I think it was her daughter and her son-in-law, and after

spending the evening with family, having dinner, playing

games, family stuff, on February 1st, she was expected to be at

church. She was a longtime parishioner

of her congregation and she did not show up.

Now I've heard it two different ways, that she was a remote

viewer or that she was an in person viewer.

I've heard it both ways, but nevertheless, she did not show

up and that caused some alarm. The family was called, they went

out to the house and the family found an apparent crime scene.

OK, so the first thing that I want to do, I think what I want

to do first is maybe go through our timeline of events a little

bit. Let me bring this up and then

we'll get to what Sheriff Nanos has been talking about recently.

And that this is just something that I put together based on

like going through all of the public stories because this case

is annoying to a person like me. But my annoyance is the least of

our problems here, right? We've got an 84 year old woman

missing. The case has.

Been a bit annoying to me because there just hasn't been

very much released that which has been released has kind of

been done piece meal. I really think that in the

beginning I thought that Sheriff Nanos was actually doing a

pretty darn good job having press conferences and stuff like

that, but that that devolved very quickly.

So let's just. Let's.

Start on the late evening of January 11th of this year, OK?

Investigators say they think that something occurred on that

date at or around Nancy Guthrie's home.

And there has been reporting, for example, that this image may

have been from January 11th. Sheriff Nanos told Kold that

that belief is based on FBI analysis of equipment and

digital evidence. I think probably the the.

Ring camera though it's it's possible that there are more

cameras that have seen things. At one point, recording

indicated that Google Nest data may have been tied to to a key

surveillance image on January 11th.

But later, the exact date of that image became uncertain,

unconfirmed. And that is the image that I'm

showing you here. It may have been, it may not

have been. It's still a be gloved masked

man without a backpack it looks to me, and without.

A firearm, the continuing this is one of the biggest pressure

points on the case because authorities have highlighted the

date partially walked back the certainty around it and then are

continuing to insist that it still matters by interviewing

neighbors and so forth. So we think that this is what

I'm calling the pre incident date, right?

The this would be the stalking or the casing of Nancy Guthrie.

It suggests, of course, that the abduction was probably planned.

Skip forward to January 31st, so 20 days later, almost three

weeks. We know that Nancy Guthrie had

dinner with her family. We know that family members

dropped her off at home at around 9:50 PM.

Now, I know that there are still people that are suspicious of

the family. I am.

I don't know why I am, but I'm taking the word of Sheriff Nanos

that they are in the clear that they have investigated all the

family members and they don't think that there's anything that

they have done. But anyway, family members

dropped her off at home about 9:50 PM.

We understand that, you know, the security system noted that

the garage door opened and closed and then in the early

morning hours of February 1st is when law enforcement believes

that Nancy Guthrie was taken from her home.

The doorbell camera was disabled at that point.

It was shortly before the app on her phone that connected to her

pacemaker. Remember, this is a person.

This is a. Heart patient.

She takes heart medication. She has a pacemaker.

on her phone disconnected from her pacemaker.

And we know that because we we know that happens when there is

a distance between the phone and the pacemaker, right?

That happened around 2:30 AM. Investigators later said that

the drops of blood that were found on the front porch when

the scene was open for anyone, including the Amazon delivery

driver. Brian and his producer captured

this photo and law enforcement has confirmed that those blood

drops that blood spatter was did belong to Nancy Guthrie was a

positive match to her DNA. So this is obviously the core

official abduction window sometime around 2:30.

where the camera was disabled, the pacemaker disconnected,

We were all scrambling around. There were people on the ground

there. You know, the media was showing

up on Moss. We had some terrific new media

personalities out there, had some good, some Youtubers out

there doing some good stuff. I'm thinking mostly of Brian

Sheriff Nanos is still talking to the media in press

conferences. The FBI is getting involved.

They were using dogs. They were using drones,

helicopters. They were going through the

neighborhood. They were knocking on doors.

They were, they were talking to neighbors.

They were, they were grid style pattern searching the ground,

looking for any, any clues, right.

Authorities at this point reminded us or told us at the

time that Nancy had extremely limited mobility.

She could not realistically have wandered away on her own, though

I could tell that they were taking that idea seriously.

They were going out into the parts of her property or maybe

her neighbor's property, kind of behind the pool, behind the

house, looking in the goalies and the washes and underneath

trees and the whole thing. But it appears from the

beginning they didn't think that she would have wandered away on

her own. Of course, before we knew it,

they knew that there was blood on the front porch.

And before we knew it, they knew there was DNA in the.

House, right. So the investigators were really

leaning toward the belief that she had been taken against her

will. Now still in this early

investigation phase on the 3rd. That's when a purported ransom

note was sent to media outlets. This and I I'd completely

forgotten this part of the story because it became almost a

nothing. Burger eventually, right?

I mean, we haven't heard anything about ransom in a

while. And I think a lot of this

probably was because there were there were wannabes, there were

imposters, right? But this, this note apparently

demanded $6 million in cryptocurrency.

It included some deadlines. And that's when we saw those

videos from Savannah Guthrie, her and her family making direct

public appeals to who they thought was Nancy's captor.

Couple days later, Savannah Guthrie and her family publicly

pleaded again for direct communication and proof that

Nancy was alive. It feels like they well, and

then Cameron. Her her brother followed up with

another message asking for proof of life.

Like if you want this money, we'll pay.

But we need to know she's still alive and I don't know to my

knowledge. That proof of life has never has

never happened. Then on February 6th, a new

message came in, believed to be related to the abduction.

KOLD reportedly received it and turned over both the message and

an associated IP. Address.

Law enforcement said they were actively examining the message

for authenticity. If you want to know what IP

addresses are just, we don't need to get deeply into this,

but it stands for an Internet Protocol Address.

Each Well, actually back in the days of the Internet, when I was

working as a network engineer, we were on IP4 and now we're on

IP6, which is a different beast. But basically every connection

to the Internet has an address. And so if that is your router or

your modem or a switch or every, every piece of the Internet has

an address. And the hard part is that you

can, you can use what are called virtual private networks to get

on to a different address so that law enforcement don't know

where you are. Now there are ways, there are

When we get into the middle of February, I start to call this,

FBI Director Cash Patel publicly publicly released the video that

all seen, right? So the man ended up being

described as about 5 foot 10 medium.

gloves, backpack from Walmart and a handgun holster in the

I mean, it's just so weird the way he's walking.

Yeah. So this was when we started to

get this information, Sheriff Nanos told Reuters.

That is the individual we're looking for, right?

He's like, no ifs, ands or buts about it.

We want this person. Investigators did say that that

release of the images and at the video created about 5000 new

tips and 10s of thousands of calls overall when combined with

prior reporting and tip traffic. So investigators have been

inundated and I think now. Is a good time to pause and

remind ourselves that we, you and I could hold a clue to

solving this mystery and it could be you might be a

neighbor, you might be in the area.

You've probably been asked questions multiple times and

you've thought and thought and thought about it, but our minds

are weird things and we're able to access things in strange

ways. Just, you know, just maybe don't

even sit down and think hard on it.

Just let that just maybe talk with people and, and just talk

out what you were doing around that time and see if you see if

you can just jog your memory. Maybe there is something that

traffic camera footage, license plate reader data, neighborhood

camera footage. They were asking for

surveillance footage. There was a Dropbox.

Not really, but through the FBI there's a place where you can

drop. Video, I mean, they're, they're

looking to comb through as much visual evidence as they possibly

can. Obviously these these videos and

these images are the strongest visual clues that have been.

Publicly released so far now we also learned in mid February

during this evidence clue phase that there is DNA from other

people, from people other than Nancy and from people other than

those that are in close contact with Nancy that would be her

family members that would be. I don't know the the pool

caretakers, you know, things like that.

Church, there's DNA from people other than that close circle and

we know this. We also kind of found out about

the discarded gloves that were undergoing the forensic testing,
