Transcript
- 0:02SPEAKER_00: Welcome back to the Midlife Glow Up Podcast, where we simplify fitness, nutrition, and healthy habits for women in midlife.
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: I'm Joan Dandano, your midlife health and wellness coach.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: I help women simplify fitness, nutrition, and healthy habits to find clarity, build confidence, stay consistent in midlife and beyond.
- 0:21SPEAKER_00: Together, we'll build habits that serve you today and create the future version of you that you know you're meant to be.
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: After three decades of lifting weights, prioritizing protein, and coaching hundreds of women just like you, I've learned that success isn't about the scale or the size of your genes.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: It's about how fully you live your life.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: Here you'll find strategies that actually work, systems that simplify, and a roadmap to help you turn intention into lasting change.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: So if you're ready to feel strong, capable, and confident in this season, then you're in the right place.
- 0:51SPEAKER_00: This is the Midlife Glow Up Podcast.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: We were never meant to do this life alone.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: As the saying goes, if you want to go fast, go alone, but if you want to go far, go together.
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: And I believe that this applies to fitness as well.
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: I think fitness was never meant to be just a solo act.
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: I think it's an activity meant to be shared, especially with other women, to cheer you on, hold you accountable, and remind you that you are stronger than you think.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: And that is the heartbeat behind FitZone, my online live and on-demand workout membership.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: Because the truth is, you do not need another random YouTube video.
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: You need something that fits your real life and provides structure and strength and connection all in one place.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: So today I'm super excited to be sharing with you the story of how it all began, how it has grown into a community that blends those three things beautifully, designed specifically for women in midlife.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: So if you've been craving a fitness routine that feels supportive and flexible and sustainable, then I hope by the end of this episode that you will see that Fitzone might be exactly what you have been missing.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: And to help you understand why I'm so passionate about this work and this online platform, I want to take you back to the beginning because FitZone didn't just appear one day.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: It grew out of my personal fitness journey, professional career, the challenges, the pivots, and the lessons that I have learned along the way.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: So maybe someday I'll do a full episode on my personal fitness journey.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: But for today's purpose, I want to just give you a snapshot.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: So I have not always loved fitness.
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: As a kid, I had asthma and I would get out of PE anytime we had to run.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: But I did love swimming.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: And I do credit that sport, especially the rhythmic breathing part of it, for eventually helping me overcome my asthma at about age 18.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: So my mom growing up was always fit and active.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: And I grew up tagging along with her to her aerobics classes.
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: And as soon as I was old enough, I was doing turn steps and V steps and all of those old school aerobics moves with her.
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: And after, so I was a competitive swimmer through high school.
- 2:57SPEAKER_00: And after a few swimming-related injuries in high school, I set my sights on becoming a physical therapist.
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: I really loved the energy in the physical therapy room and I loved the experience that I had in overcoming some of those injuries.
- 3:09SPEAKER_00: But after organic chemistry kicked my booty as a freshman in college, I decided to pivot and study health and human performance.
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: And the thing that really excited me about that was helping healthy people stay healthy versus a physical therapist who is helping an injured person get back to function.
- 3:29SPEAKER_00: I wanted to help the people that were already healthy to stay healthy.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: The college was kind of a turning point for me.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: In college, I had a terrible roommate who smoked cigarettes inside of our dorm room.
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: So I was having asthma, couldn't stand cigarette smoke, and needed a way to escape.
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: And so I discovered that running was a great way to escape my dorm room, gave me a reason to be outside.
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: And that actually led me to run my first marathon in college.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: And along with that, I also discovered the weight room in college, and that's where I really fell in love with strength training.
- 4:00SPEAKER_00: So soon, right about that same time, I became a personal trainer and a group exercise instructor.
- 4:05SPEAKER_00: And eventually the manager of other trainers and instructors started working in gyms early in my career.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: And I loved the people, I loved the energy of being in the gym.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: But there was something that I noticed really quickly in my career was that I felt like I was not being valued the same as my male counterparts.
- 4:21SPEAKER_00: So I was showing up, I was pouring into my clients, I was designing programs that actually worked, and yet I felt unseen and underpaid.
- 4:28SPEAKER_00: The other thing that I didn't really love about gyms was they were trying to dictate how I could teach, what I could teach, who I could teach.
- 4:36SPEAKER_00: And I really have always loved the creative aspect of workouts.
- 4:40SPEAKER_00: And I didn't want to be forced into somebody else's framework.
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: So that frustration planted a seed for me.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: I no longer wanted to play small or wait for somebody else to hand me an opportunity.
- 4:49SPEAKER_00: I really wanted the freedom and flexibility design, the workouts and the programs that helped women thrive.
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: And I really wanted to create a space where women felt seen and supported as they were getting stronger.
- 5:01SPEAKER_00: So I that seed was planted and then big shift happened.
- 5:05SPEAKER_00: I became a mom.
- 5:06SPEAKER_00: And so, like many of you, my world revolved around bedtime and nap time and snacks, and finding a moment to myself was challenging.
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: Fitness always remained a part of my life when I became a mom.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: But when we moved to Florida, I had the opportunity to be the manager at a kind of fancy club in the area where I would be managing the fitness trainers, the group exercise instructors, and I would have a hand in like the spa section, which was an interesting to me as well because I also was a massage therapist.
- 5:37SPEAKER_00: But I decided to trade that for going out on my own.
- 5:41SPEAKER_00: And that was a big scary decision.
- 5:43SPEAKER_00: I remember my husband being like, Really?
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: You don't want just like a regular paycheck with benefits?
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: And I said, no, I just really want the opportunity to take this chance.
- 5:51SPEAKER_00: And I also really did not want to put my kids in daycare.
- 5:54SPEAKER_00: So I decided to start a stroller fitness class at a local park near my neighborhood in Florida.
- 6:00SPEAKER_00: And it was the perfect blend of all of my passions.
- 6:03SPEAKER_00: It was, I got to be a mom, I got to continue to move and be fit myself.
- 6:08SPEAKER_00: And I also got to empower and inspire other women.
- 6:11SPEAKER_00: And the huge bonus that my girls got to see other moms taking their self-care seriously.
- 6:17SPEAKER_00: And while the babies would play, we would exercise.
- 6:20SPEAKER_00: And at the end of each of those sessions, we would go to the park, the kids would get to play, we would relax, chit-chat, and then we would all have lunch and then go home and put our babies down for a nap.
- 6:29SPEAKER_00: It was like seriously the perfect setup.
- 6:31SPEAKER_00: So those mornings with other moms at the park were not just workouts.
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: That's when I really started to realize these were therapy sessions as well.
- 6:40SPEAKER_00: We would laugh, we would vent, we would cheer each other on, we would, we would feel seen in a pretty isolating stage of motherhood.
- 6:50SPEAKER_00: And that's when I realized that movement isn't just about the body, it is about connection as well.
- 6:57SPEAKER_00: And so that's where the seed for community-centered fitness was really planted with me.
- 7:02SPEAKER_00: A few years later, we made a huge move across the country from Florida to Washington, so from Jacksonville area to the Seattle area.
- 7:10SPEAKER_00: And by then I no longer had babies in a stroller.
- 7:14SPEAKER_00: And honestly, the weather was pretty daunting to me.
- 7:17SPEAKER_00: We moved in February.
- 7:18SPEAKER_00: And if you know anything about Seattle weather, it was nothing but cold and rain and just dreary and miserable.
- 7:24SPEAKER_00: And that was the last thing I wanted to do was be outside teaching my class in that.
- 7:28SPEAKER_00: So I got to work hunting for a place to bring my classes indoors.
- 7:32SPEAKER_00: I found an amazing community center that completely fit the bill for me.
- 7:37SPEAKER_00: So previously in Florida, I would always pack my trunk full of all my equipment and my stroller.
- 7:43SPEAKER_00: And I would drive across the street to the park.
- 7:45SPEAKER_00: So I was very used to just like having this mobile fitness business that I could pretty much go anywhere with.
- 7:51SPEAKER_00: But when we moved to Seattle, I thought, gosh, it'd be great if I could store my equipment somewhere, just rent some space, and then still have the workout, you know, program and everything be my brainchild.
- 8:03SPEAKER_00: I didn't have to answer to anybody else.
- 8:05SPEAKER_00: I could create what I wanted, but still be able to do that in a indoor location.
- 8:11SPEAKER_00: So once again, the magic was not just in the workouts with FitZone at the community center.
- 8:17SPEAKER_00: It was within the women.
- 8:19SPEAKER_00: We built a really special place to sweat, but also to belong.
- 8:24SPEAKER_00: And there's a little fun story about the name FitZone.
- 8:26SPEAKER_00: It actually comes from my eldest daughter Allie.
- 8:28SPEAKER_00: She and her sisters were playing with their little people and their Legos, and they had built an entire city in our living room.
- 8:34SPEAKER_00: And she was showing me and she's like, Mom, here's the auto zone and here's the pet zone.
- 8:38SPEAKER_00: And look, mom, this is the fit zone.
- 8:41SPEAKER_00: It actually brings tears to my eyes because it was like, oh, that's perfect.
- 8:46SPEAKER_00: It just rolled off the tongue, and especially it kind of rhymed with my name, Jones Fitzone.
- 8:51SPEAKER_00: So it stuck and I've used it ever since.
- 8:53SPEAKER_00: And that name has become so much more than just a name of a place where we go to work out.
- 8:59SPEAKER_00: It's a community.
- 9:00SPEAKER_00: It's a place where you can show up exactly as you are and grow stronger and feel supported through every season of life.
- 9:08SPEAKER_00: And then, of course, everything changed in 2020.
- 9:11SPEAKER_00: So we were in person working out together for about eight years before the pandemic.
- 9:16SPEAKER_00: And overnight, gyms shut down and our in-person classes disappeared.
- 9:21SPEAKER_00: But what didn't disappear was our desire to stay connected.
- 9:26SPEAKER_00: That longing that really I had, and I know everybody else did too.
- 9:29SPEAKER_00: Nobody else was really thinking about this desire.
- 9:32SPEAKER_00: We were all trying to get toilet paper, and um, we didn't know what was gonna happen, right?
- 9:37SPEAKER_00: We just uh all of a sudden school is canceled.
- 9:40SPEAKER_00: It was, you know, spring break in a couple weeks.
- 9:42SPEAKER_00: It was like, are we gonna go on vacation?
- 9:43SPEAKER_00: Like, what's happening here?
- 9:45SPEAKER_00: Um, but we did definitely all still have that desire to feel still connected and part of something bigger than ourselves.
- 9:52SPEAKER_00: So that is what led to the next chapter, taking FitZone online and really building the thriving virtual community that we have today.
- 10:00SPEAKER_00: So the first time that I opened my laptop and hit go live on Zoom was March 16th of 2020.
- 10:07SPEAKER_00: And I honestly thought it would be temporary.
- 10:08SPEAKER_00: I thought maybe a few weeks, this will tide us over before we can be back together in person.
- 10:12SPEAKER_00: But little did I know that this would become our new way of working out together.
- 10:18SPEAKER_00: We had so many obstacles to overcome.
- 10:21SPEAKER_00: We had to figure out tech.
- 10:24SPEAKER_00: We had to, I had to figure out how to share music.
- 10:26SPEAKER_00: There are music rights.
- 10:27SPEAKER_00: Like I didn't even, I had never even thought about this stuff before.
- 10:30SPEAKER_00: Some women didn't have equipment.
- 10:31SPEAKER_00: So they were working out with water jugs and laundry detergent bottles, and it was definitely far from perfect, but it was powerful.
- 10:39SPEAKER_00: And it reminded us that we could still show up, we could still move, we could still be together, even from different living rooms and eventually from different states and now from different countries.
- 10:48SPEAKER_00: But that is the birth of Fitzone as we know it today.
- 10:52SPEAKER_00: So here we are, almost six years later, still thriving, still connecting, and still proving that women, we don't just adapt or pivot, we evolve.
- 11:03SPEAKER_00: And every stage of my personal journey, from the gyms to the strobe classes to the community center, was preparing me for this moment.
- 11:11SPEAKER_00: Because the heart behind it has always been the same to help women feel strong and supported and capable, not just in their physical bodies, but in their lives overall.
- 11:22SPEAKER_00: So before I tell you why FitZone is different, I want to paint a picture for you.
- 11:27SPEAKER_00: I want you to imagine two different versions of your morning, one that you might know all too well, and one that could be your reality.
- 11:34SPEAKER_00: So the first version, your alarm goes off, and without even thinking, you hit snooze, right?
- 11:38SPEAKER_00: You tell yourself, I'll work out later after work, and you're really hoping to get some more sleep.
- 11:42SPEAKER_00: So you shut your eyes and you're restless and it's fragmented half sleep.
- 11:46SPEAKER_00: And by the time you get up, you feel groggy and behind and already just a little irritated with yourself.
- 11:51SPEAKER_00: So you scamp, scramble to get ready, and you rush out the door.
- 11:54SPEAKER_00: And on that drive to work, that familiar feeling of frustration creeps in.
- 11:57SPEAKER_00: Why can't I make myself work out?
- 11:59SPEAKER_00: Why don't I have enough willpower?
- 12:01SPEAKER_00: What is wrong with me?
- 12:02SPEAKER_00: Do I need more motivation?
- 12:04SPEAKER_00: And your energy is low all day, and you're quieter in meetings, you're more easily overwhelmed.
- 12:09SPEAKER_00: And deep down, you feel like you're just losing hope that you'll ever get into a routine.
- 12:12SPEAKER_00: By the time you get home, you are exhausted.
- 12:15SPEAKER_00: The kids need rides, dinner needs to be made, your dad's 80th birthday party still needs to be planned, and the thought of working out now feels completely impossible.
- 12:22SPEAKER_00: So you tell yourself again, I'll start tomorrow.
- 12:26SPEAKER_00: Okay, now I want you to imagine a different version of your day.
- 12:29SPEAKER_00: The alarm goes off, you still feel sleepy, of course you do.
- 12:32SPEAKER_00: But instead of rolling over, you count down in your head five, four, three, two, one, and you choose the harder thing.
- 12:39SPEAKER_00: You push the covers back and you get up, and it's not glamorous and it's not easy, but you remember that you're not doing this alone.
- 12:45SPEAKER_00: Coach Joan is up and your fit zone friends are up, and so you throw on your comfy clothes, you don't even have to look in the mirror.
- 12:51SPEAKER_00: You don't have to have a perfect ponytail because you're not walking into a room full of mirrors and everyone in their matching Lululemon outfits.
- 12:58SPEAKER_00: You're walking into a space where the only thing that matters is that you showed up.
- 13:02SPEAKER_00: So you open your laptop and you lace up your shoes and you click join the Zoom room.
- 13:07SPEAKER_00: And you're greeted with smiles and waves.
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: Good morning, friend.
- 13:10SPEAKER_00: And you see familiar faces.
- 13:11SPEAKER_00: Kristen is logging in from her cabin, and Nicole and her little boy are getting their space settled, and Paula is warming up her shoulders, and Dory is doing her stretches, and Jana is joining from yet another hotel room.
- 13:22SPEAKER_00: And suddenly you feel connected and inspired and already proud of yourself, and the workout hasn't even started yet.
- 13:29SPEAKER_00: So you start moving, and the stretches feel good, and your breath deepens, and your body wakes up, and the first set begins, and your to-do list starts to just fade off into the background, and you're focused on how good it feels to move and to breathe and to reconnect with your body.
- 13:44SPEAKER_00: You're adjusting your posture and you're finding your balance and you're feeling strong.
- 13:48SPEAKER_00: And before you know it, 45 minutes have flown by.
- 13:52SPEAKER_00: We have lifted and we've stretched and we've balanced and we've gotten our heart rates up.
- 13:57SPEAKER_00: And now it's time for the cooldown.
- 13:59SPEAKER_00: And as you let that final exhale go, you hear me say the thing that I say often: if you can get through this tough workout, you can get through anything that comes your way today.
- 14:08SPEAKER_00: And you believe it and you're proud.
- 14:10SPEAKER_00: Not because it was perfect, but because you honored your commitment.
- 14:12SPEAKER_00: You showed up, you kept a promise to yourself.
- 14:15SPEAKER_00: And when you hop in the shower, you feel alive and energized and grounded.
- 14:20SPEAKER_00: And then that's how you head into your day.
- 14:22SPEAKER_00: And here's the beautiful part about it: the work still needs to be done.
- 14:26SPEAKER_00: The kids still need rides and dinner still needs to be made, and your dad's birthday party is not going to plan itself.
- 14:31SPEAKER_00: But you're different.
- 14:33SPEAKER_00: You're more patient because you've already taken the time to fill your own cup.
- 14:37SPEAKER_00: You can think more clearly because moving your body cleared out the fog and woke up your mind.
- 14:41SPEAKER_00: You're less resentful of all the demands on your time because you already carved out time for you.
- 14:46SPEAKER_00: And when you lay your head on the pillow that night, you feel accomplished, a little sore, and very proud of the woman that you're becoming.
- 14:54SPEAKER_00: And even though tomorrow is a rest day, you don't feel behind because that's part of our strategy.
- 14:58SPEAKER_00: Fitzone has intentional rest days built in so that your routine is sustainable and so that your body can recover and you can stay in a rhythm without having to work out every day.
- 15:08SPEAKER_00: And here's the biggest mindset shift of all.
- 15:11SPEAKER_00: In the past, you were chasing motivation and willpower.
- 15:16SPEAKER_00: But now you're chasing a new feeling.
- 15:18SPEAKER_00: You're chasing feeling strong, feeling empowered and trusting yourself.
- 15:23SPEAKER_00: And you already know when the alarm goes off again on Thursday, you're getting up, not because you should, but because you want to feel this way again.
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: So here's the thing: that version of your morning where you feel strong and proud and grounded doesn't just happen by luck.
- 15:36SPEAKER_00: It happens because you finally have a system, a schedule, a strategy, and a community that supports you.
- 15:42SPEAKER_00: And that's exactly what makes Fitzone different.
- 15:45SPEAKER_00: You know there is no shortage of workouts online.
- 15:47SPEAKER_00: You can open up YouTube right now and find thousands of videos for free.
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: But you and I both know that random workouts rarely turn into a routine.
- 15:56SPEAKER_00: What you actually need is structure and support and strength in other women.
- 16:03SPEAKER_00: That is the heart of Fitzone.
- 16:05SPEAKER_00: Fitzone is designed specifically for you, the woman in midlife, who wants to get strong and consistent.
- 16:10SPEAKER_00: And she doesn't want to do it alone.
- 16:12SPEAKER_00: She wants to do it with other people and she wants to do it without overwhelm or complication or guilt.
- 16:18SPEAKER_00: So here is what sets FitZone apart.
- 16:21SPEAKER_00: First, the structure.
- 16:22SPEAKER_00: So we offer six live classes a week designed to fit into your schedule.
- 16:28SPEAKER_00: You don't have to guess what to do or piece together a plan.
- 16:31SPEAKER_00: You just show up.
- 16:31SPEAKER_00: I do the thinking, I do the creativity, I do all the formatting of the workouts.
- 16:36SPEAKER_00: And that is what you get to rely on is the structure.
- 16:39SPEAKER_00: Second is the flexibility.
- 16:40SPEAKER_00: So every single class is saved into our on-demand library.
- 16:43SPEAKER_00: So if you miss a live class, you just push play later.
- 16:47SPEAKER_00: You can travel with us, you can work out any time that works for you.
- 16:51SPEAKER_00: This is how you can stay consistent.
- 16:53SPEAKER_00: It's because of the flexibility.
- 16:55SPEAKER_00: Third, the approach is made for midlife.
- 16:57SPEAKER_00: So this is not a 20-year-old's workout plan.
- 17:00SPEAKER_00: Fitzone is built around what you need now, strength, number one.
- 17:04SPEAKER_00: And then mobility, balance, stability, flexibility, and functional movement.
- 17:08SPEAKER_00: It's all geared towards helping your bones, helping your joints, helping you live longer, helping you get more confident, and helping you become more resilient in the gym and out.
- 17:19SPEAKER_00: Fourth, you don't need fancy equipment or hours in the gym.
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: So inside of FitZone, we use dumbbells, a mat, and maybe a band.
- 17:28SPEAKER_00: I ask for 30 or 45 minutes.
- 17:30SPEAKER_00: Our workouts are effective and efficient and very doable.
- 17:34SPEAKER_00: Fifth, and this might be the biggest thing, is the community because we are not meant to do this alone.
- 17:39SPEAKER_00: Inside FitZone, you get access to our private community chat, which has two important spaces.
- 17:44SPEAKER_00: So number one is a coaching channel.
- 17:46SPEAKER_00: Every week I host a coaching day.
- 17:47SPEAKER_00: You can ask questions, send me videos of your form.
- 17:50SPEAKER_00: I can give you modifications for injuries, you get support and direct coaching from me.
- 17:56SPEAKER_00: We also have a community channel where you get to connect with the other women who are also on this journey.
- 18:00SPEAKER_00: So you share your wins, maybe post your sweaty selfies, share your struggles, share encouragement, real conversation.
- 18:08SPEAKER_00: This is the thing that most women don't even know that they're missing because it's one thing to work out, and then it's another thing to feel like you belong somewhere.
- 18:15SPEAKER_00: Fitzone makes consistency easier, not because the workouts are easy, but because you're doing them with other women who cheer you on and a coach who cares enough to check in on you if you disappear.
- 18:26SPEAKER_00: Yes, the workout matters.
- 18:27SPEAKER_00: Yes, the strength matters, but the connection is the glue that holds it all together.
- 18:32SPEAKER_00: That's what turns a workout into a routine, and a routine into a lifestyle, and a lifestyle into a confidence.
- 18:40SPEAKER_00: So that's why FitZone has worked for a long time now, because it's not just movement.
- 18:46SPEAKER_00: It's momentum, it's community, it's support.
- 18:48SPEAKER_00: It's a place where you don't have to be perfect, you just show up.
- 18:52SPEAKER_00: Last week in episode six, we talked about the mindset shifts that help fitness finally stick in midlife.
- 18:57SPEAKER_00: Things like shifting from motivation to commitment and from all or nothing thinking to practice makes progress.
- 19:03SPEAKER_00: So now I want to show you how FitZone actually brings those mindset shifts to life.
- 19:07SPEAKER_00: Because community isn't just a place to exercise, it's a place where your mindset gets stronger right alongside your muscles.
- 19:14SPEAKER_00: So the first mindset shift that we went over was from motivation, relying on motivation to commitment.
- 19:20SPEAKER_00: So FitZone gives you a schedule, a plan.
- 19:22SPEAKER_00: You don't have to wait to feel ready.
- 19:24SPEAKER_00: You just show up because the system is like, hey, we got class today.
- 19:27SPEAKER_00: And eventually you begin to hold that system for yourself.
- 19:32SPEAKER_00: The second mindset shift we went over was from all or nothing thinking to practice makes progress.
- 19:37SPEAKER_00: So if you miss a live class, no big deal.
- 19:40SPEAKER_00: You just go into the on-demand library and hit play later.
- 19:42SPEAKER_00: If you need to modify, you modify.
- 19:45SPEAKER_00: If you need to do low impact, you do low impact.
- 19:48SPEAKER_00: Nothing doesn't count.
- 19:50SPEAKER_00: Like everything counts.
- 19:51SPEAKER_00: Every rep is a practice.
- 19:52SPEAKER_00: And then practice helps you build progress.
- 19:56SPEAKER_00: The next mindset shift was from I have to to I get to.
- 20:00SPEAKER_00: So movement inside Fitzone is not punishment.
- 20:03SPEAKER_00: We actually celebrate being able to be there.
- 20:06SPEAKER_00: Like we get to be here.
- 20:07SPEAKER_00: We have permission to take up space, to get stronger, and to put ourselves first on the to-do list.
- 20:13SPEAKER_00: We get to move and breathe and feel alive in our bodies.
- 20:16SPEAKER_00: We get to be there.
- 20:18SPEAKER_00: The next one was from just a workout to mindset training.
- 20:22SPEAKER_00: So every time we do a workout together, it's mental fitness.
- 20:26SPEAKER_00: You're learning to focus, you're learning coordination, you're learning to control your breath, you're learning to be present in the moment and let go of that to-do list.
- 20:34SPEAKER_00: And you're building resilience.
- 20:36SPEAKER_00: And all of these skills carry over into all of the facets of your life.
- 20:40SPEAKER_00: The next one was from physical strength to grit and resilience, like emotional strength.
- 20:45SPEAKER_00: So you're not just lifting weights.
- 20:46SPEAKER_00: That is a huge part of it, obviously, but you're also proving to yourself over and over that you can do hard things.
- 20:53SPEAKER_00: You learn that you can finish strong, especially on the days that you wanted to not show up or you wanted to quit.
- 21:00SPEAKER_00: And then finally, we talked about moving from outcome-based goals to identity-based goals.
- 21:05SPEAKER_00: So this isn't about chasing a number or a size.
- 21:08SPEAKER_00: It's about becoming the kind of woman who consistently shows up for herself.
- 21:12SPEAKER_00: It's about stepping into the identity of someone who values her strength inside and out.
- 21:18SPEAKER_00: Fitzone turns mindset into movement and movement into momentum.
- 21:23SPEAKER_00: So this is the part where I'm going to tell you something that a lot of women don't realize.
- 21:27SPEAKER_00: The perfect time is never coming.
- 21:30SPEAKER_00: The right time is today.
- 21:32SPEAKER_00: It is too, too, too important for us to stop waiting.
- 21:37SPEAKER_00: Midlife is not waiting for us, right?
- 21:39SPEAKER_00: Our bones are not waiting, our metabolism is not waiting, our energy is not waiting, our confidence is not waiting, and our future self is definitely waiting for us right now to show up.
- 21:50SPEAKER_00: Imagine how good it would feel to end this year knowing that you didn't give up on yourself and that all you did was you got started.
- 21:56SPEAKER_00: Imagine walking into the holidays already feeling strong, consistent.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: Proud.
- 22:01SPEAKER_00: Starting now means you begin building momentum.
- 22:04SPEAKER_00: You get stronger through the holidays.
- 22:06SPEAKER_00: You enter January already in a rhythm.
- 22:08SPEAKER_00: You start the new year ahead of the game.
- 22:10SPEAKER_00: And you stop living in that cycle of I'll start again tomorrow, or I'll start again Monday, or I'll start again January 1st.
- 22:17SPEAKER_00: This could be the first time you don't lose your routine.
- 22:21SPEAKER_00: And all it takes is one decision.
- 22:23SPEAKER_00: Okay, I'm ready.
- 22:24SPEAKER_00: One click, one class.

- 23:04SPEAKER_00: You just need to make one brave decision to show up, to take the first step, and to trust that the woman you're becoming is worth the effort today because she is.
- 23:13SPEAKER_00: And when you choose her, even in small ways, even on sleepy mornings when life is so full, that is when everything shifts.
