Transcript
- 0:01Continuation of the Holy Gospel according to Saint Luke.
- 0:05At that time Jesus said to his disciples, When you shall hear
- 0:11of wars and seditions, be not terrified.
- 0:16These things must first come to pass, but the end is not yet.
- 0:20Presently. Then he said to them, Nation
- 0:24shall rise against nation, and Kingdom against Kingdom, and
- 0:29there shall be great earthquakes in diverse places, and
- 0:33pestilences and famines and terrors from heaven, and there
- 0:38shall be great signs. But before all these things they
- 0:42will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up
- 0:47to the synagogues and into prisons, dragging you before
- 0:51kings and governors, for my name's sake.
- 0:55And it shall happen unto you for a testimony.
- 0:59Lay it up, therefore in your hearts not to meditate before
- 1:03how you shall answer. For I will give you a mouth and
- 1:06wisdom which all your adversaries shall not be able to
- 1:09resist and gainsay. And you shall be betrayed by
- 1:13your parents, and brethren, and kinsmen and friends.
- 1:17And some of you they will put to death.
- 1:20And you shall be hated by all men for My name's sake.
- 1:24But a hair of your head shall not perish, and your patience
- 1:28you shall possess your souls.
