- Ben: Good morning and welcome to your short-term rental bulletin on the 5th of June. So, interesting discovery this morning. The priciest short-term rental markets in Europe right now sit outside of the EU. So it's Switzerland, Monaco, not that surprising, I guess. Iceland and the UK. So fresh air DNA data for 2026 puts Switzerland near the top. National average daily rate of 184 euros. Interlacken. Hits ⁓ 284 a night with 65% occupancy. ⁓ Seriously impressive numbers. Monaco tops the continent. Iceland, Iceland 6 second, close to 189 a night. Add Norway, where the premium property demand jumped 14% last year, and a pattern shows up. The regulatory pressure stories coming from inside the EU. The strongest rates come from outside it. These are premium markets. Constraint supply, guess who book ahead and pay up? For operators, I think the takeaway isn't location, it's positioning. The premium professional end is where the pricing power lives. So here's the question: Are you competing on price or are you building something that guess will pay a premium for? Thank you for watching, and I'll see you next week.
