- 0:31Speaker 3: up together.

- 0:43Speaker 2: Hello, guys, welcome back to Grow and Today.
- 0:48Speaker 3: We have got Megsie here again and we're going to
- 0:50Speaker 3: be talking about all things feminine energy, which is a
- 0:54Speaker 3: topic I feel like so many women are so interested
- 0:57Speaker 3: in and wanting.
- 0:58Speaker 5: To lean more into. So I'm so excited to.
- 1:00Speaker 6: Have you here today, me too. Thank you for having me.
- 1:03Speaker 1: This is a topic I feel like you're really passionate
- 1:05Speaker 1: about talking about, Like it lights you up.
- 1:07Speaker 6: Yeah, I love it. It's just like makes me down.
- 1:12Speaker 6: Getting yummy.
- 1:14Speaker 1: The word yummy or is reminded of you something's juicy
- 1:18Speaker 1: and yummy.
- 1:18Speaker 4: You know, It's like Oh.
- 1:21Speaker 6: That's it.
- 1:22Speaker 4: Let's get strained into it.
- 1:23Speaker 1: In your own words, how do you describe what feminine
- 1:27Speaker 1: energy is.
- 1:28Speaker 6: It's definitely an energy, it's a vibe, it's a feeling.
- 1:32Speaker 6: I would describe it as slowness and softness a lot
- 1:38Speaker 6: of the time receiving well beautiful, but feminine energy can
- 1:42Speaker 6: also be that like fierce protector, mummy of her cubs,
- 1:46Speaker 6: the wild woman, the warrior woman. And you know, I
- 1:50Speaker 6: think the best way that I help people understand what
- 1:54Speaker 6: feminine energy is is by helping them drop into it
- 1:57Speaker 6: and so they can feel it, which you guys like
- 2:00Speaker 6: a quick little oh my gosh.
- 2:03Speaker 4: Okay, yes, everyone can and join.
- 2:05Speaker 6: Us in our home, join us if it's safe for
- 2:07Speaker 6: you to do so. Andvite you to close down your eyes,
- 2:10Speaker 6: start to take a few deep breaths in through your
- 2:12Speaker 6: nose and out for your mouth, and I want you
- 2:17Speaker 6: to envision the breath going all the way into your
- 2:20Speaker 6: belly and softening your belly as it goes in. A
- 2:25Speaker 6: lot of us are holding in our care most of
- 2:27Speaker 6: the day. Hell out to soften in your belly and
- 2:32Speaker 6: feel the breath going deep into your reproductive organs down
- 2:38Speaker 6: to your yonie and just connecting with all of these
- 2:43Speaker 6: parts inside of you. And as you ex how allow
- 2:48Speaker 6: any tension to release. You can even sigh if you like,
- 3:00Speaker 6: and just think about all things juicy and yummy your
- 3:05Speaker 6: life and you think that brings you pleasure and enjoy, playfulness, receiving,
- 3:17Speaker 6: whether it be love or anything else. And when you're ready,
- 3:29Speaker 6: come back to your normal breathing and just.
- 3:36Speaker 7: Wiggle your hips a little. You can just move them slowly,
- 3:42Speaker 7: slide to side, coming back into the space that you are,
- 3:48Speaker 7: wherever it is that you are, and you can open
- 3:51Speaker 7: your eyes.
- 3:53Speaker 6: How do you feel?
- 3:55Speaker 1: That's such a nice start to this. I always think
- 4:00Speaker 1: of the word flowy when I think of feminine energy,
- 4:03Speaker 1: like she's soft, flowy, she adapts. Well, yeah, yeah.
- 4:08Speaker 6: Yeah, So I think feminine energy can be all of
- 4:11Speaker 6: these things. But when people talk about wanting to tap
- 4:14Speaker 6: more into their feminine energy or I'm running a lot
- 4:17Speaker 6: in my masculine I think this is that feeling that
- 4:19Speaker 6: they're wanting to tap into. When you know, spaciousness, lowness, breath,
- 4:25Speaker 6: they're the things that help us feel into that. It's
- 4:28Speaker 6: within all of us, whether you're male, female, Feminine energy,
- 4:32Speaker 6: it's a part of us, and yeah, we get to
- 4:36Speaker 6: allow ourselves to feel into it more So that's I guess,
- 4:40Speaker 6: in a nutshell I describe it.
- 4:42Speaker 3: Why do you think so many women this day and
- 4:45Speaker 3: age struggle to tap into their feminine energy.
- 4:50Speaker 6: I think a big part of it that just stands
- 4:52Speaker 6: out to me after what I've just said, is that
- 4:54Speaker 6: we live in such a hustle culture and our society
- 4:57Speaker 6: has We're both like society has us just wearing all
- 5:02Speaker 6: of the hats, juggling all the things.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Motherhood were praising it too, Like you wear a gold
- 5:08Speaker 1: medal if you're doing all of that.
- 5:09Speaker 6: It's put on a pedestal. If you're doing all these things.
- 5:12Speaker 6: And new mothers are, you know, needing to get back
- 5:15Speaker 6: to work straight away. They're not being supported by tribe
- 5:17Speaker 6: around them and other women, and we're just out there,
- 5:21Speaker 6: got to do it on our own. And the next
- 5:24Speaker 6: reason kind of flows into that is that I think
- 5:27Speaker 6: over generations, as women we've almost had to fight for
- 5:32Speaker 6: rights and flipped things on its head because men have
- 5:35Speaker 6: kind of held the power for so long and we're
- 5:37Speaker 6: now like, I'm an independent woman and I want to
- 5:40Speaker 6: earn the money and I want this level that in
- 5:43Speaker 6: this position, and we deserve more pay. And you know,
- 5:46Speaker 6: all of these things has kind of put us into
- 5:48Speaker 6: our masculine to fight for these rights and this power.
- 5:51Speaker 6: So I think that some of the main reasons.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Why we obviously carry both our masculine and our feminine
- 5:59Speaker 1: energy at all times. How do you teach women to
- 6:02Speaker 1: be able to embody both because I know when I
- 6:04Speaker 1: talk about this on social media and I say in
- 6:06Speaker 1: a way that like, oh, i feel like I'm running
- 6:08Speaker 1: more of my masculine and I'm go, go go, and
- 6:11Speaker 1: I'm deadlines and it just doesn't.
- 6:13Speaker 4: Feel as good.
- 6:14Speaker 1: I get quite a lot of pushback that they think
- 6:16Speaker 1: I'm putting down the masculine energy. But both energies, in
- 6:19Speaker 1: my opinion, are really really important. And my masculine energy
- 6:23Speaker 1: really serves me in my work life and it's super
- 6:25Speaker 1: important and it's beautiful. I love my masculine energy, but
- 6:28Speaker 1: I also love my feminine I just know at my core,
- 6:31Speaker 1: I'm more feminine. So when I'm running more of my
- 6:33Speaker 1: masculine I don't feel as good. So how do you
- 6:36Speaker 1: help encourage and teach people to embody both energies.
- 6:40Speaker 6: Yeah, that's such a good question, and it's so interesting
- 6:43Speaker 6: that you get pushback on that because you know this
- 6:46Speaker 6: is your experience and you're finding that in a certain moment,
- 6:51Speaker 6: let's say at the end of the day, you're wanting
- 6:53Speaker 6: to connect with your partner that being in more in
- 6:56Speaker 6: that masculine doing and getting things done kind of mode
- 7:00Speaker 6: isn't quite serving you here. And that's really beautiful that
- 7:04Speaker 6: you've got that when and so you're absolutely right, like
- 7:08Speaker 6: we've got both within us and both serve us. You know,
- 7:11Speaker 6: we want to be able to think logistically and have
- 7:14Speaker 6: structure and be givers and doers. And these are more
- 7:19Speaker 6: what I would call like masculine energy traits. So I
- 7:22Speaker 6: think the way that you get to look at this
- 7:25Speaker 6: is kind of like a sliding scale, So say, feminine
- 7:28Speaker 6: energies on one end and masculine energies on the other.
- 7:32Speaker 6: It's like a mixer on like a DJ turntable or something,
- 7:36Speaker 6: and you get to kind of play with the mix
- 7:38Speaker 6: of it, and you know, what does this situation now
- 7:42Speaker 6: need of me? Do I need to be a little
- 7:43Speaker 6: bit more here or there? And where can I recognize
- 7:46Speaker 6: the button? The slider's kind of stuck here in this
- 7:49Speaker 6: point And maybe for some people they might be finding
- 7:53Speaker 6: that I'm too much in my feminine flow. I'm too
- 7:56Speaker 6: easy going, I'm not.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Really achieving my goals, like working towards them exactly.
- 8:01Speaker 3: Yeah, I find too that the more I tap into
- 8:05Speaker 3: feminine energy, the easier I find it. I feel like
- 8:08Speaker 3: now I'm finding it a lot easier than I did, say,
- 8:10Speaker 3: like six months ago, when I first started tapping into it.
- 8:13Speaker 3: So I thought, maybe you could give a few tips
- 8:15Speaker 3: of different ways that women can try to tap more
- 8:17Speaker 3: into this energy.
- 8:18Speaker 6: Yeah. Number one that comes to mind is slowing down.
- 8:22Speaker 6: And when I say slowing down, some people are like,
- 8:24Speaker 6: oh my god, I don't have enough time in the day.
- 8:26Speaker 6: But literally, it's internally and it can be taking three
- 8:30Speaker 6: D rests like we just did. It didn't take us
- 8:33Speaker 6: much time at all, and you just get to kind
- 8:36Speaker 6: of find some inner calm and slowness within yourself that
- 8:40Speaker 6: helps you feel safe in your body. Because again, to
- 8:43Speaker 6: be able to drop more into your feminine or tap
- 8:45Speaker 6: more into it, you need to be able to feel
- 8:47Speaker 6: safe in your body. And so you know, if you
- 8:50Speaker 6: think about it, in like cave man days, the man
- 8:53Speaker 6: was the protector and he's out there hunting and the
- 8:56Speaker 6: women kind of tending to the children, and you know
- 8:59Speaker 6: she needs to be protected in that so she can
- 9:01Speaker 6: mother and she can just focus on that. So when
- 9:04Speaker 6: we're talking about the energy of that, if we are
- 9:07Speaker 6: always on high alert and we're like, oh my gosh,
- 9:10Speaker 6: I need to get this and this and this done,
- 9:12Speaker 6: it makes it harder for us to tap into it.
- 9:14Speaker 6: So finding slowness and stillness within yourself to be able
- 9:19Speaker 6: to soften and drop more into your feminine Second tip
- 9:22Speaker 6: that I often give is having a look at how
- 9:26Speaker 6: you're feeling what are you wearing now? What you're wearing
- 9:31Speaker 6: doesn't determine what energy you're going to drop into. I
- 9:33Speaker 6: could be running around in active wear and be able
- 9:36Speaker 6: to drop into my feminine energy, right, But we have
- 9:39Speaker 6: kind of associated clothing with feminine and masculine. So if
- 9:44Speaker 6: you think that pinks and reds, or like soft silky materials,
- 9:48Speaker 6: or a skirt and a dress, like if that to
- 9:51Speaker 6: you is more feminine, have a look. Are you getting
- 9:54Speaker 6: around most of your day inactive wear or suits when
- 9:57Speaker 6: you're more in a masculine world, or what are you
- 10:00Speaker 6: wearing and at the end of the night, can you
- 10:04Speaker 6: pop something on that feels more feminine and It's just
- 10:07Speaker 6: like a little marker, a little QueQue yeah, for you
- 10:11Speaker 6: to be able to drop in. It's not like wearing
- 10:13Speaker 6: this makes you more feminine or gives you feminine energy,
- 10:17Speaker 6: but it's just a little mental yeah cute.
- 10:19Speaker 4: I absolutely love that because that is so true for me.
- 10:21Speaker 4: Like I think of.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Florals, I don't wear florals often all like flowy dresses
- 10:25Speaker 1: and skirts because I live in active wear and I
- 10:28Speaker 1: love working out. It's always active wear. So that tip
- 10:30Speaker 1: that you taught me was life changing, even at nighttime.
- 10:33Speaker 1: It was like I used to wear Steve's oversized shirt
- 10:35Speaker 1: to bed, and yes, that's so comfortable and great when
- 10:37Speaker 1: I'm tanning, but swapping that to a silky lacy ninety
- 10:40Speaker 1: or I wear a lot of robes now, and robes
- 10:42Speaker 1: are so comfortable. I just feel so feminine and cozy
- 10:45Speaker 1: and soft and like nice in them. And then even
- 10:48Speaker 1: you teach a lot about this too, but just instead
- 10:50Speaker 1: of just whacking on your skincare, like actually sitting down
- 10:53Speaker 1: in front of a mirror and taking your time applying
- 10:55Speaker 1: and like touching your body with your body oils and
- 10:57Speaker 1: your skin care. That's just so nice to Once again,
- 11:00Speaker 1: it slows you down, it connects with your body and
- 11:02Speaker 1: it just helps bring more of that beautiful energy into
- 11:04Speaker 1: your day to day.
- 11:05Speaker 4: It doesn't have to be hard to do this.
- 11:07Speaker 1: It's fine in those little micro moments that add up
- 11:10Speaker 1: over time and help you feel like that more often.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Then it becomes more natural too, because anyone listening might
- 11:16Speaker 1: be thinking like, oh, I'm so busy, I can't do that,
- 11:18Speaker 1: And it might feel really uncomfortable when you first start
- 11:20Speaker 1: doing it, but it's like anything, the more that you
- 11:22Speaker 1: do it, the more practice you do, the better you
- 11:24Speaker 1: get at it, and the more natural it does feel,
- 11:26Speaker 1: and then you'll enjoy it more.
- 11:28Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 11:28Speaker 6: Absolutely, And I'm a big one for especially with mammas
- 11:32Speaker 6: and busy mammas, giving those like little five minute quick Yes,
- 11:35Speaker 6: it's like this work doesn't have to be hours long
- 11:39Speaker 6: of breath work to create shift, you know, and even
- 11:42Speaker 6: just choosing floral underwear to wear if it's not like
- 11:46Speaker 6: your full entire outfit for the day, or there's nothing
- 11:49Speaker 6: that you think is femine that you want to wear,
- 11:50Speaker 6: you know, and yeah, you're right, it starts to feel easier.
- 11:54Speaker 6: And I think that was such a cool point that
- 11:56Speaker 6: you made as well about it. Getting easier for you because,
- 11:59Speaker 6: like we said before, being in your masculine, being in
- 12:02Speaker 6: the hustle, it's been so pedestaled and so so the
- 12:05Speaker 6: good girl in us all wants to be doing these things,
- 12:08Speaker 6: so it can feel hard. And I've had clients come
- 12:11Speaker 6: to me and be like, how can I drop more
- 12:13Speaker 6: into my feminine energy? But I'm scared that I'll lose
- 12:15Speaker 6: this other part of me. I'm scared that the hustle
- 12:18Speaker 6: and the thing that gets things done, or this part
- 12:20Speaker 6: of my personality everyone loves the like tomboy girl or
- 12:24Speaker 6: you know, like this part of me, I'm frad off, Yeah,
- 12:28Speaker 6: losing her. And that's where I get to tell you
- 12:31Speaker 6: that it's all gets to be a part of you.
- 12:33Speaker 6: When it's just in this situation. What's best going to
- 12:36Speaker 6: serve me? And do I need to play with that
- 12:39Speaker 6: little mixer? How can I do it? What's a tool
- 12:41Speaker 6: to help me tap into it?
- 12:42Speaker 1: You don't have to be in a box, right, And
- 12:44Speaker 1: I think different seasons like anything like if you're just
- 12:47Speaker 1: if you just had a baby, you're in a more
- 12:48Speaker 1: feminine season and era where you are slowing down and
- 12:51Speaker 1: you've got lots of skin to skin and breastfeeding, being
- 12:54Speaker 1: with your baby the whole time, or I know you've
- 12:56Speaker 1: kind of come out of all of that and you've
- 12:57Speaker 1: been more leaning into your self development and focusing on
- 13:00Speaker 1: your business. Like there's different seasons where you might sway
- 13:03Speaker 1: more into your masculine, sway more into your feminine, and
- 13:06Speaker 1: honor those and acknowledge them and enjoy them and be
- 13:09Speaker 1: proud of that. You can take the different hats off
- 13:11Speaker 1: when you need to, but it does take practice if
- 13:13Speaker 1: you've been running more in one to be able.
- 13:16Speaker 4: To tap into the other.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Yep, I'd love to dive into relationship dynamics because I
- 13:21Speaker 1: feel like anyone who's listening who's in a relationship, and
- 13:24Speaker 1: it's something just I see a lot in a lot
- 13:26Speaker 1: of forums that I'm in and just talking to a
- 13:28Speaker 1: lot of friends. I suppose in relationships that what happens
- 13:32Speaker 1: when the dynamic is both in their masculine or both
- 13:35Speaker 1: in their feminine, or say the feminine goes into her
- 13:39Speaker 1: masculine a lot, and then the masculine drops into is feminine,
- 13:42Speaker 1: and then it's like that polarity has really shifted, and
- 13:45Speaker 1: then that can really affect the relationship. Resentment starts to
- 13:48Speaker 1: build up, especially if they don't know how to communicate
- 13:50Speaker 1: all of that, Like, could you talk more about how
- 13:53Speaker 1: to bring them together in an intimate relationship.
- 13:56Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, that's such a good question, because obviously we
- 14:01Speaker 6: want to be attracting to each other, we want those
- 14:03Speaker 6: magnets the polarity to be there. I think that one
- 14:07Speaker 6: thing I would love to add to this whole conversation
- 14:10Speaker 6: is just reminding you that to be able to drop
- 14:13Speaker 6: into your feminine, you do need to feel safe. So
- 14:15Speaker 6: if you're in a season where let's say there's financial
- 14:19Speaker 6: troubles or you're trying to move house, or like you're
- 14:21Speaker 6: trying to get a business up and running, that is
- 14:24Speaker 6: feeling like, oh my gosh, I need to make this work,
- 14:26Speaker 6: and you're dropping more into your masculine. So true, and
- 14:29Speaker 6: it's going to take a lot more work to be
- 14:31Speaker 6: able to drop into your feminine. And if this is
- 14:33Speaker 6: new to you, you're gonna be like, why can't I
- 14:35Speaker 6: do it? Like this is so hard. Nurturing your nervous
- 14:38Speaker 6: system is going to be the first step, and just
- 14:41Speaker 6: recognizing what is going on here in my entire universe,
- 14:45Speaker 6: in my entire internal world, and zooming it back out
- 14:49Speaker 6: that This isn't like a meat and you problem, you know,
- 14:52Speaker 6: like you and your partner and how are you a
- 14:55Speaker 6: team here with this? And where you guys are rat
- 14:58Speaker 6: if there's nothing major going on and you're just finding that, Yeah,
- 15:01Speaker 6: our energies are you know, he's a lot more in
- 15:04Speaker 6: his femine. I'm a lot more of my masculine. You
- 15:07Speaker 6: get to have a look at how has things been
- 15:10Speaker 6: playing out the past six months, the past six years,
- 15:13Speaker 6: whatever it might be. Have you been leaning back, dropping
- 15:19Speaker 6: into your feminine, opening your heart and allowing him to
- 15:24Speaker 6: step into his masculine and to be more receiving to
- 15:28Speaker 6: that when he tries to make plans or he is
- 15:32Speaker 6: driving the car, are you quick to give directions? Are
- 15:35Speaker 6: you quick to take control? And just there gets to
- 15:39Speaker 6: be self reflection on this and where can you maybe
- 15:44Speaker 6: start to shift and change some of these things and
- 15:46Speaker 6: how you're showing up with your energy And the reason
- 15:49Speaker 6: why I lead here is because you can't go and
- 15:52Speaker 6: change your partner. You can also have conversations and talk
- 15:56Speaker 6: about your wants and needs and where you're at and
- 15:58Speaker 6: where you think the relationship's at. But even if there's
- 16:02Speaker 6: work for him to do, you can't force him, you
- 16:04Speaker 6: can't make so it's easiest just to start with how
- 16:07Speaker 6: am I showing up? You know? And this isn't to
- 16:09Speaker 6: bring any shame or guilt to you. This is just
- 16:12Speaker 6: to have inquiry, get curious. Yeah, you know, like, how
- 16:16Speaker 6: am I playing with this polarity field between us? And
- 16:20Speaker 6: am I doing it any justice? Am I doing any disservices?
- 16:24Speaker 6: That would probably be the first tip I would give
- 16:27Speaker 6: before even diving into full on conversations.
- 16:30Speaker 1: Yes, I absolutely love that because I think all of us,
- 16:33Speaker 1: if we're being true to ourselves, there's definitely moments that
- 16:36Speaker 1: we could drop into, you know, bossing them around or
- 16:39Speaker 1: criticizing how they're doing something, and that in itself is
- 16:43Speaker 1: just not going to do any good to your relationship.
- 16:45Speaker 1: But like you said, it comes back to us regulating
- 16:48Speaker 1: our own nervous system, getting back to our own body
- 16:50Speaker 1: to be able to see clear on how we're showing
- 16:52Speaker 1: up and how we can do things better. And yeah,
- 16:54Speaker 1: there's no shame around it, because we all drop in
- 16:56Speaker 1: there and we're human and humans are messy. But having
- 16:59Speaker 1: the awareness and having conversations like this to have the
- 17:02Speaker 1: knowledge around it, when you know more, you can do
- 17:04Speaker 1: more So that's such a good step to just anyone
- 17:06Speaker 1: listening to be like, oh, okay, I was just blaming
- 17:09Speaker 1: him for being too feminine, not taking charge and not
- 17:12Speaker 1: doing this. It's like, okay, well, how have I contributed
- 17:14Speaker 1: to that? What can I do to sit back and
- 17:17Speaker 1: allow him to step into that? And how can I
- 17:19Speaker 1: be more feminine and soften and be open to receiving
- 17:22Speaker 1: such a good tip. Yeah, I love that for too.
- 17:24Speaker 3: How you spoke about you need to feel safe to
- 17:27Speaker 3: tap into your feminine energy. Do you feel like that
- 17:30Speaker 3: kind of goes hand in hand as well with childhood trauma?
- 17:33Speaker 3: How he kind of spoke about in a child in
- 17:34Speaker 3: our previous episode. Can that affect us as well, tapping
- 17:38Speaker 3: into that energy more and kind of feel safer to
- 17:41Speaker 3: be the protector and.
- 17:41Speaker 5: Be looking after ourselves because we might not have had
- 17:44Speaker 5: that in our childhood.
- 17:45Speaker 6: Yeah, absolutely definitely, And that's exactly what I'm talking about,
- 17:49Speaker 6: feeling safe and at any given time, how safe you
- 17:52Speaker 6: feel in your body. Your childhood trauma or experiences in
- 17:56Speaker 6: the past is going to play such a big part
- 17:58Speaker 6: in that. So that's why this work is so layered
- 18:01Speaker 6: and so nuanced. It's like it all goes hand in hand,
- 18:05Speaker 6: and it all kind of connects to each other and
- 18:08Speaker 6: usually comes back to this inner child and past experiences
- 18:11Speaker 6: or past traumas. So getting to work and having a
- 18:15Speaker 6: look at and unpacking those things, having a look at
- 18:17Speaker 6: what the relationships were like with your father and your
- 18:21Speaker 6: first boyfriends and partners, and how you were treated and
- 18:25Speaker 6: where you might have got stuck in a flight of
- 18:27Speaker 6: fight mode from somewhere else. You know, I've experienced in
- 18:31Speaker 6: my own life being in a fight or flight response
- 18:35Speaker 6: in a situation with my partner and realizing this is
- 18:39Speaker 6: actually residual from a past relationship and I'm not dealing
- 18:43Speaker 6: with that same man. This is a different man I'm
- 18:45Speaker 6: dealing with. So I'm feeling all of this whatever, I'm
- 18:49Speaker 6: feeling this heightened state, and in the moment it's directed
- 18:52Speaker 6: at my partner. When you can take two seconds and
- 18:55Speaker 6: you can breathe, and you can stop and pause, you
- 18:58Speaker 6: can realize, actually, this is a lot of what I'm
- 19:00Speaker 6: feeling how I used to feel in this past relationship.
- 19:03Speaker 6: So this is mine, This is my own stuff, and
- 19:07Speaker 6: I get to work on that and come back to
- 19:10Speaker 6: the conversation or come back to the relationship. In a softer,
- 19:14Speaker 6: more open, more loving, more compassionate kind of state.
- 19:18Speaker 1: I guess I love that because it's like, in the moment,
- 19:22Speaker 1: you have a choice there to step back and take
- 19:24Speaker 1: a breath and take responsibility and take your time. But
- 19:28Speaker 1: then in the biggest scheme of things, you also have
- 19:30Speaker 1: a choice to get a coach or you know, however,
- 19:33Speaker 1: you choose to do the work to unpack that stuff
- 19:35Speaker 1: so it doesn't have to keep showing up like that.
- 19:37Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, that's really powerful.
- 19:39Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, that is the work. It's recognizing it in
- 19:43Speaker 6: the moments and seeing if you can do different. And
- 19:45Speaker 6: then also there's the feeling part of it, the back
- 19:48Speaker 6: end part of it, the heavy lifting part, so you can,
- 19:50Speaker 6: like you said, clear it and it doesn't keep repeating
- 19:53Speaker 6: with these things that we're like, oh this keeps happening,
- 19:55Speaker 6: or I keep I hold a grudgual day after we've
- 19:58Speaker 6: had an argument and why do I do that? And
- 20:00Speaker 6: why can't I change that? And next time I'll try better,
- 20:03Speaker 6: And you know, we try, and we try and try,
- 20:06Speaker 6: but until we clear the why we're doing it, it
- 20:09Speaker 6: can be difficult.
- 20:10Speaker 1: It can be hard, and you know what, I love
- 20:12Speaker 1: that to taking it step back and I feel like
- 20:13Speaker 1: you've obviously got done a lot of this work, and
- 20:16Speaker 1: you've gotten really good.
- 20:16Speaker 4: At being able to just go hang on a second.
- 20:19Speaker 1: I just need some breath if you're not quite at
- 20:21Speaker 1: that point, because I know for me sometimes if I
- 20:23Speaker 1: get in a heated discussion with my husband, I'll need
- 20:26Speaker 1: a couple of hours. I don't like that saying it's like, oh,
- 20:29Speaker 1: I never go to bed angry, but sometimes you can
- 20:31Speaker 1: go to bed and just have the night to sleep
- 20:33Speaker 1: on it process. It takes some time out the next
- 20:35Speaker 1: day to get in the sun or journal or whatever.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Take your time to regulate yourself before you go back
- 20:40Speaker 1: to the conversation, because otherwise you're going to go back
- 20:42Speaker 1: in reacting instead of responding, and you might go back
- 20:46Speaker 1: into that old pattern of then criticizing and mothering and
- 20:48Speaker 1: putting them down, rather than coming from a beautiful feminine
- 20:50Speaker 1: state which is more love and really soft energy and calm.
- 20:56Speaker 3: I saw on your Instagram the other day you even
- 20:58Speaker 3: talking about nervous system regulation.
- 21:00Speaker 5: So much of this.
- 21:01Speaker 3: Work all goes hand in hand, which I'm discovering which
- 21:04Speaker 3: I didn't really think. Like you hear of inner child work,
- 21:06Speaker 3: and then you hear of feminine energy. Then you hear
- 21:08Speaker 3: of regulating your nervous system. And for me personally, I
- 21:10Speaker 3: didn't actually realize in my mind that it all really
- 21:15Speaker 3: does work together.
- 21:16Speaker 4: It's so true.
- 21:17Speaker 1: Even like your physical, your mental, or emotion, your spiritual,
- 21:20Speaker 1: they're all interconnected and they all do this beautiful dance together.
- 21:23Speaker 1: But for some reason we separate them. But they actually
- 21:25Speaker 1: all work so nicely together.
- 21:27Speaker 6: Yeah, we're such complex beings and our brains can't even
- 21:31Speaker 6: keep up, so it tries to compartmentalize everything and give
- 21:35Speaker 6: labels to things and box things in just to help
- 21:37Speaker 6: us cope with Like, Okay, I need to look here.
- 21:39Speaker 6: I need to look there, looking at our body and
- 21:43Speaker 6: our spirit and our energy and our emotions and our
- 21:47Speaker 6: being a lot of our nervous system, and the state
- 21:51Speaker 6: that we're in, whether we're in flight flight or if
- 21:54Speaker 6: we're more calm, or just however we be, how safe
- 21:57Speaker 6: we feel in our body, That is going to determine
- 22:01Speaker 6: what choices we make from there. That is going to
- 22:03Speaker 6: determine how triggered we are, going to determine how we're
- 22:06Speaker 6: able to be confident or have boundaries, and that is
- 22:09Speaker 6: going to be based on how we were treated as
- 22:11Speaker 6: a child, or what we're currently experiencing, what season of
- 22:15Speaker 6: life we're in. So a lot of it comes back
- 22:17Speaker 6: to nervous system and our past traumas. You know, why
- 22:21Speaker 6: we show up today, why we can or can't change
- 22:23Speaker 6: things or shift things, or why we're not going after
- 22:26Speaker 6: our dreams, or why we're feeling like we're just surviving
- 22:30Speaker 6: and not thriving. I think bringing it all back to
- 22:33Speaker 6: nervous system and seeing how it's all connected from there,
- 22:37Speaker 6: it's really powerful to recognize.
- 22:39Speaker 1: That nervous system's almost like the foundation for everything though Hey, yeah,
- 22:43Speaker 1: kind of helps lead where you want to go, or
- 22:46Speaker 1: sometimes if you're not regulated, then it takes you where
- 22:48Speaker 1: you don't want to go.
- 22:49Speaker 6: Yeah, because then you're just you're unconscious, You're running around
- 22:53Speaker 6: and your body is making decisions based on how it feels,
- 22:56Speaker 6: rather than our cognitive mind being like actually I want
- 22:59Speaker 6: to do this, yes, Or have you ever said something
- 23:01Speaker 6: and being like, oh, I wish I didn't say that.
- 23:03Speaker 6: I was a bit heated in the moment, and it's
- 23:04Speaker 6: like your body is just in this sphere or projecting
- 23:07Speaker 6: and it's just doing. So we want to start to
- 23:10Speaker 6: learn to allow our minds to run the show and
- 23:13Speaker 6: our life and take that control. And that's why we
- 23:16Speaker 6: talk so much about pause and breath before we do,
- 23:19Speaker 6: because you're giving your brain a minute to go hold on,
- 23:22Speaker 6: this is how I want to react, or this is
- 23:24Speaker 6: how I want to have a situation. You've got choice exactly?
- 23:28Speaker 1: Would you find that most women that you coach this
- 23:31Speaker 1: is something that they're struggling with. It's a pretty common
- 23:33Speaker 1: thing that you're dealing with.
- 23:35Speaker 6: Yeah, definitely, this is the root of it all. You know,
- 23:38Speaker 6: if someone is feeling stuck and they don't know what
- 23:41Speaker 6: their purpose in life is. I bring it back to
- 23:44Speaker 6: nervous system regulation because it's the more that you feel
- 23:47Speaker 6: safe in your body, the more you get to know it.
- 23:49Speaker 6: You get to know what do I like, what don't
- 23:52Speaker 6: I like before the world tells me. And because a
- 23:55Speaker 6: lot of us feel like, oh, I can't make that
- 23:57Speaker 6: decision because so and so will think this of me
- 23:59Speaker 6: or that of me, you're thinking so much outside of
- 24:01Speaker 6: yourself because you don't have the safety within to trust
- 24:05Speaker 6: yourself within. So, whether it's that or wanting to be
- 24:09Speaker 6: calm in parenthood and how you react to your children,
- 24:12Speaker 6: or if you want to drop into your feminine energy
- 24:14Speaker 6: with your partner, and you know, these are the common
- 24:16Speaker 6: things that women are wanting to shift and change, and
- 24:20Speaker 6: it's yeah, or comes back to that foundation of nervous system.
- 24:24Speaker 5: Something I'd love to know as well.
- 24:25Speaker 3: Have you seen any changes in people's health as well,
- 24:28Speaker 3: because we haven't really tapped into that. But I'm someone
- 24:30Speaker 3: who has struggled a lot with my periods and a
- 24:33Speaker 3: big thing I've been doing is delving more into nervous
- 24:36Speaker 3: system regulation. But my periods are really like changing.
- 24:40Speaker 5: It's really crazy.
- 24:41Speaker 6: Absolutely. I think that when your body is feeling more
- 24:45Speaker 6: safe and regulated, then it's operating more optimally physically. It
- 24:49Speaker 6: doesn't have as much information information cortisol, like your hormones
- 24:53Speaker 6: affected massively when it comes to that side of things,
- 24:56Speaker 6: because when you're in fight and flight, you think about it,
- 24:59Speaker 6: your body is trying to get away from a danger.
- 25:02Speaker 6: It's like adrenaline and all of the hormones a running differently,
- 25:06Speaker 6: or your body thinks, oh, it's no time for me
- 25:08Speaker 6: to have a period. Now I've got to run away
- 25:10Speaker 6: from the tiger. True, so your body is always being affected,
- 25:14Speaker 6: and I think also learning about our feminine and connecting
- 25:19Speaker 6: with ourselves in that way, loving on ourselves and loving
- 25:22Speaker 6: on our feminine and connecting more with our periods and
- 25:25Speaker 6: our cycles and our yoni and our womb and all
- 25:28Speaker 6: of these things, and honoring all those parts of us
- 25:31Speaker 6: instead of feeling the shame and these things that so
- 25:34Speaker 6: many women have grown up with. It allows it all
- 25:37Speaker 6: to just flow and to be and to work in harmony.
- 25:40Speaker 6: And there's that word again, flow like the feminine energy
- 25:43Speaker 6: and women talk about humans being complex beings, like women
- 25:47Speaker 6: just are, like we're like an entire universe within us,
- 25:52Speaker 6: like we create life, and when things are feeling stagnant
- 25:56Speaker 6: in our body, in our internal world, it's going to
- 25:59Speaker 6: show up in our body too. And physically, yeah, yeah.
- 26:03Speaker 1: I thought to wrap up the episode to be really cool,
- 26:06Speaker 1: if we can all share some things that have really
- 26:09Speaker 1: helped us tap more back into our feminine energy.
- 26:12Speaker 4: I can start if you like.
- 26:13Speaker 1: I feel like something that's really helped me is being
- 26:16Speaker 1: really mindful of who I spend my energy with. And
- 26:19Speaker 1: I felt like the last couple of years, I've been
- 26:21Speaker 1: wanting to surround myself with more feminine women and women
- 26:24Speaker 1: who have like a really beautiful, healthy relationship with their
- 26:27Speaker 1: energy because I think for so long, and I'm speaking
- 26:30Speaker 1: about this a lot on the podcast at the moment.
- 26:32Speaker 1: Is how I have been so of my masculine and
- 26:35Speaker 1: goals and hustling and business and structure and deadlines and
- 26:41Speaker 1: managing a team, and I'd loved it, and it's worked
- 26:44Speaker 1: until it hasn't worked until I haven't enjoyed it, And
- 26:46Speaker 1: that's at this point in my life. So I'm definitely
- 26:48Speaker 1: wanting to lean more into my feminine energy and.
- 26:51Speaker 4: That's a process for me.
- 26:52Speaker 1: But surrounding myself and being around women that are really
- 26:56Speaker 1: in touch with their feminine has helped not normalize it,
- 26:58Speaker 1: but just helped it feel more flowy and easy and
- 27:01Speaker 1: feel nice and feel more natural. And that's really helped me.
- 27:05Speaker 1: Another thing has been dancing. He's a dances little girl,
- 27:08Speaker 1: and Steve always says, you can tell I'm happy when
- 27:10Speaker 1: I'm dancing and singing.
- 27:12Speaker 4: But going to heels dance.
- 27:13Speaker 1: Classes it's so sexy and feminine and slowy and juicy
- 27:17Speaker 1: and yummy. Yeah, it's so awesome. My next step is
- 27:21Speaker 1: to like wear lingerie to a dance class. I want
- 27:24Speaker 1: to go do like a teas class. Always just on
- 27:25Speaker 1: the heels classes, but that's like my next out of
- 27:28Speaker 1: comfort zone, but like next level dancing. But that fills
- 27:32Speaker 1: up my cup for the whole week. I feel like
- 27:33Speaker 1: by the next time it comes around, I'm like ready
- 27:35Speaker 1: for more of that juiciness. But that's really helped me.
- 27:38Speaker 1: And another thing that really helps me day to day
- 27:40Speaker 1: is the music I listen to, like I love really
- 27:43Speaker 1: like slow, girly, like just soft music that helps me
- 27:47Speaker 1: be in that energy for longer as well. So they're
- 27:49Speaker 1: probably my top three main ones as well as they're
- 27:51Speaker 1: wearing the ninety at nine or robes and the moisturizing
- 27:54Speaker 1: creams and just taking time to be and feel and
- 27:56Speaker 1: touch my own.
- 27:57Speaker 4: Body, so they've bit my top tips.
- 27:59Speaker 3: Mine is just really tuning in, really listening to my intuition,
- 28:04Speaker 3: checking myself regularly throughout the day and being like.
- 28:07Speaker 5: How does this feel right now?
- 28:08Speaker 3: Even with say like deadlines and things for work, I
- 28:11Speaker 3: used to feel like I just had to get everything done,
- 28:13Speaker 3: especially on a Monday morning. I would get in and
- 28:15Speaker 3: be like, oh my gosh, there's so much here, And
- 28:17Speaker 3: now I'm like, mah, just leave it to Wednesday, leave
- 28:20Speaker 3: it till Thursday. Like create space when you feel like
- 28:23Speaker 3: you've got space, because Mondays.
- 28:24Speaker 5: Are always just a really busy day.
- 28:26Speaker 3: And another thing that I actually read about that I
- 28:28Speaker 3: feel has really helped is tapping into my senses, which
- 28:31Speaker 3: is like an easy little thing, so like before you
- 28:33Speaker 3: eat a delicious, yummy meal, taking the hover to like
- 28:35Speaker 3: breathe it all in and smell all in its full florals,
- 28:40Speaker 3: like visualizations, like different things that you know just look
- 28:42Speaker 3: really pretty for me to have more of that in
- 28:44Speaker 3: my life, putting on beautiful hideaway creams because it makes
- 28:47Speaker 3: me smell nice and I'm touching my body, So yeah,
- 28:50Speaker 3: leaning into my senses, I think.
- 28:52Speaker 1: And then you mentioned that with the clothes through like
- 28:54Speaker 1: silky different materials or nice fluffy blankets at night, or
- 28:57Speaker 1: the robes.
- 28:57Speaker 4: That feel all like cloud like, since this is a
- 29:00Speaker 4: nice one. That's cool and.
- 29:02Speaker 5: Probably last one be reading.
- 29:04Speaker 3: I think, especially when I read about this stuff, it
- 29:07Speaker 3: makes me more aware and makes you know, the more
- 29:10Speaker 3: you learn and concentrate and focus on things, the more
- 29:12Speaker 3: you tap into and following accounts that you know feminine
- 29:16Speaker 3: energy accounts. One little thing as well is I bought
- 29:19Speaker 3: these little bracelets that are rose courts and straw records
- 29:21Speaker 3: for me to wear on my wrists just to remind me.
- 29:23Speaker 3: So every time I look down or I hear them,
- 29:25Speaker 3: I'm like, okay, you know, like tap into that feminine energy.
- 29:28Speaker 5: So it just reminds me.
- 29:29Speaker 4: I love that. That's so cute.
- 29:31Speaker 6: Yeah, I love that. One of my go tos is play.
- 29:36Speaker 6: So anything that can help me tap into that playfulness,
- 29:39Speaker 6: that joy, because that's light, that's fun, that's flirty, that's
- 29:44Speaker 6: juicy and yummy. So whether it be getting silly with
- 29:49Speaker 6: sunny my daughter, or thinking of a fun date night
- 29:52Speaker 6: to do with thor or having a girl's day, or
- 29:55Speaker 6: just how can I be more played to my day?
- 29:58Speaker 4: Love that. It's such a helpful tip.
- 30:00Speaker 1: I think as adults we sometimes forget that we can play.
- 30:03Speaker 6: Get to play.
- 30:04Speaker 1: Yeah, that we get to I feel like kids are
- 30:06Speaker 1: the best of that. They really bring you back into
- 30:07Speaker 1: it because they lost all about play. For them, it's
- 30:10Speaker 1: the best thing they're having kids. They really bring it
- 30:12Speaker 1: back in.
- 30:13Speaker 4: Yeah. Oh, thank you so much.
- 30:14Speaker 5: For joining us, Thank you for having me.
- 30:17Speaker 1: We will leave all of your details in the show
- 30:19Speaker 1: notes if anyone wants to connect with you and work
- 30:21Speaker 1: with you or just learn more from you, or pop
- 30:23Speaker 1: that below.
- 30:24Speaker 5: Thank you, Thank you.
