- 0:34Speaker 1: and we've got an episode we know you guys are
- 0:36Speaker 1: going to love. It's something that we get asked about
- 0:38Speaker 1: all the time we do, and it's how to fall
- 0:40Speaker 1: back in love with your fitness routine, your healthy girl
- 0:43Speaker 1: era because it should not feel so hard like this
- 0:46Speaker 1: lifestyle should be something that you enjoy. And we have
- 0:49Speaker 1: learned that over the last you know, ten fifteen years,
- 0:51Speaker 1: we've found a way of training, a way of eating,
- 0:53Speaker 1: a way of being that we actually thoroughly look forward
- 0:56Speaker 1: to every single session.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Yeah, so this episode's going to be all about ten
- 0:59Speaker 2: tips that we've got for you to help maintain create
- 1:02Speaker 2: a good, easy flow lifestyle workout routine that's going to
- 1:05Speaker 2: help you fall back in love with working out and
- 1:07Speaker 2: fueling your body.
- 1:08Speaker 1: All right, well, let's just get straight into it and
- 1:10Speaker 1: tips that you guys can grab your note section on
- 1:12Speaker 1: your phone or write it down. You can pause it anytime,
- 1:15Speaker 1: but these tips are going to be a game changer.
- 1:16Speaker 1: And just remember these tips are just things that have
- 1:18Speaker 1: worked for us. Like, we both love training, we're super
- 1:21Speaker 1: obsessed with it, but there definitely have been times along
- 1:23Speaker 1: the journey for us both where we've fallen out of
- 1:25Speaker 1: love with it and it felt really hard. It felt
- 1:27Speaker 1: like there was a lot of pressure. It wasn't easy.
- 1:30Speaker 2: So we want to help make that easy for you.
- 1:32Speaker 2: We can share with you what has worked for us
- 1:34Speaker 2: and what has helped us really get back on the
- 1:37Speaker 2: bandwagon of exercise.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Even if it's men. Yeah, and even if we go
- 1:40Speaker 1: on holiday and we come back, we're like, oh, we're
- 1:41Speaker 1: at a routine. This is what we go back to. Yes,
- 1:44Speaker 1: we got our fool belt. We go back to these
- 1:45Speaker 1: and it's like so much easier to slip back into
- 1:47Speaker 1: it and get back to a place we were feeling
- 1:49Speaker 1: confident in all areas, how we look, how we feel,
- 1:52Speaker 1: how we smell, all of it, all of it, even
- 1:54Speaker 1: feeling fresh it makes all the difference. And Dove, Hobbody,
- 1:57Speaker 1: Joed and are sponsoring the show and we do actually
- 1:59Speaker 1: as of the week. But this is a product I
- 2:01Speaker 1: swear by. It makes such a difference and I love it.
- 2:03Speaker 1: I think I'll be using this for the rest of
- 2:04Speaker 1: my life. All right, let's get into it. So the
- 2:06Speaker 1: first one we've got is accountability buddy. This has been
- 2:10Speaker 1: everything for me because after I had Tala, I remember
- 2:14Speaker 1: saying to you, I was like, I felt like I
- 2:15Speaker 1: had lost the fitness motivation, the fitness love. I just
- 2:19Speaker 1: couldn't find a routine and I was tired all the time.
- 2:21Speaker 1: And then when I met you we started training together,
- 2:23Speaker 1: I was like, oh my gosh, this just makes it
- 2:25Speaker 1: so fun. One, I have to show up for you.
- 2:27Speaker 1: I can't cancel. I don't want to cancel because I
- 2:29Speaker 1: don't like letting anyone down.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Two, we're training the same way like we love ways.
- 2:34Speaker 1: It starts her day off the best, like when we
- 2:36Speaker 1: start the day off in a high vibe with music,
- 2:39Speaker 1: training doing what we love, yapping away the whole time.
- 2:42Speaker 1: It's a role on effect for the rest of our day.
- 2:43Speaker 1: So having an accountability buddy is an absolute game changer.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Yeah, it really is. And sometimes like training by yourself
- 2:49Speaker 2: is just it's not enough. And if it doesn't feel
- 2:51Speaker 2: enjoyable for you to stick with it, you're not gonna
- 2:53Speaker 2: want to say, yeah, that's right, You're not gonna want
- 2:55Speaker 2: to stick with it. You're not gonna want to stay
- 2:56Speaker 2: consistent with it because you can just you know, one day,
- 2:59Speaker 2: feel like feeling tired.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Oh, I'm just not going to be so easy to
- 3:02Speaker 1: not show up for yourself.
- 3:02Speaker 2: It's so easy. But exactly what you said is so right.
- 3:05Speaker 2: When you have somebody there who's relying on you to
- 3:07Speaker 2: show up, and you know that you're leaning on each other,
- 3:09Speaker 2: you're like, I've got a shop for her and an
- 3:11Speaker 2: intern you shop for yourself, And it just makes it
- 3:13Speaker 2: so much more fun when you have somebody to do
- 3:15Speaker 2: it with. Your sharing the hard days, you're sharing the
- 3:18Speaker 2: days that you don't want to get out of bed,
- 3:20Speaker 2: and you let them know that, but then you're also
- 3:21Speaker 2: sharing the days where you're both full of energy and
- 3:23Speaker 2: you're so on a high and you get to know
- 3:25Speaker 2: bounce off each other in terms of energy, and it
- 3:27Speaker 2: just makes the whole process so much more fun.
- 3:29Speaker 1: And even if you don't have a best to go
- 3:30Speaker 1: train with, like book a personal trainer or a class
- 3:33Speaker 1: like hold yourself account of while having something booked in
- 3:35Speaker 1: because you won't want to not turn up to that.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:37Speaker 1: The next tip is finding a style of training that
- 3:40Speaker 1: you actually enjoy. I've said this the moon times, but
- 3:43Speaker 1: if someone said to me, for you to be healthy
- 3:45Speaker 1: and in shape, you need to run ten kilometers a day,
- 3:47Speaker 1: I wouldn't even last the first day.
- 3:49Speaker 2: We're not runners.
- 3:50Speaker 1: No, you would make a story up that this isn't
- 3:52Speaker 1: maintainable and it's not for you, and it's not enjoyable.
- 3:54Speaker 1: But there is so many different ways to move your body,
- 3:56Speaker 1: whether it's dancing or walking, or swimming, or weights or
- 3:59Speaker 1: polates or group classes or yoga or like literally anything.
- 4:04Speaker 1: There's so different things you can try. Even us, we
- 4:06Speaker 1: love variety. We love a polarities class, we love a
- 4:08Speaker 1: dance class, we love a good stretch down of the beach,
- 4:10Speaker 1: I love a booty class, we.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Love pt Yeah. What I see a lot of the
- 4:15Speaker 2: times is like people who let's say they're wanting to
- 4:18Speaker 2: get back on the vandwagon of fitness and fall back
- 4:19Speaker 2: in love with it, they think that they have to
- 4:21Speaker 2: do things that they hate. You know, it's like I've
- 4:23Speaker 2: got to do the things that are really hard, or
- 4:25Speaker 2: you know, if you want to lose weight, like immediately
- 4:26Speaker 2: I'm going to start running, you know. Or you're just
- 4:29Speaker 2: thinking that you need to do what everybody else is
- 4:31Speaker 2: doing to get there. You know, I have to go
- 4:32Speaker 2: straight into six seven days a week of training. That's
- 4:35Speaker 2: not the case. It really is unique based on your
- 4:38Speaker 2: unique journey and what you do like. And so when
- 4:40Speaker 2: you work with what you want, what you'd like, and
- 4:43Speaker 2: then still incorporating movement, that'll be amazing for you. But
- 4:47Speaker 2: you've got to figure that out. Maybe that looks like
- 4:49Speaker 2: two days of weight training and then a couple of
- 4:51Speaker 2: walks a week. Beautiful done, You're good. You don't need
- 4:54Speaker 2: to overdo it. You don't need to overwhelm yourself. Allow
- 4:57Speaker 2: it to be fun, ease your way into it, and
- 4:59Speaker 2: just remember that if you don't like it, you likely
- 5:02Speaker 2: won't stick to it.
- 5:02Speaker 1: You won't stick to it. And any movement is good,
- 5:05Speaker 1: and especially if you're on a weight loss journey. A
- 5:06Speaker 1: lot of people think, oh my god, I've got to
- 5:08Speaker 1: exercise so intensely, And yes, exercising is great for weight loss,
- 5:11Speaker 1: but majority of that is also going to come down
- 5:13Speaker 1: to your die. So don't think I'm just going to
- 5:15Speaker 1: train seven days a week and run and do all
- 5:17Speaker 1: these things and absolutely hate the journey and end up
- 5:20Speaker 1: and burn out and then resenting exercise and then being
- 5:22Speaker 1: an officious cycle. Like it doesn't have to be like that,
- 5:24Speaker 1: Like you said, just aim for movement, even if it's
- 5:26Speaker 1: just twenty minutes a day. Start with that increase. Why
- 5:29Speaker 1: are you finding what you love? And a lot of
- 5:31Speaker 1: it is your food as well.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Yeah, I personally don't love high intensity. Yeah classes classes
- 5:36Speaker 2: for me. If it gets me to the point where
- 5:38Speaker 2: I'm going to vomit, I'm out. Like I'm already done, right, So,
- 5:41Speaker 2: something that we've been implementing recently was we used to
- 5:43Speaker 2: walk every single day, and then there was a period
- 5:45Speaker 2: where we picked up a lot of business and like
- 5:47Speaker 2: work was very hectic for a period of time there,
- 5:50Speaker 2: and then we weren't prioritizing it as much and we
- 5:52Speaker 2: both would just like we'd love to walk, feel like
- 5:54Speaker 2: I do more. So now we're like making an effort
- 5:57Speaker 2: to like walk every single day, and even just doing
- 5:59Speaker 2: that without adding any additional training has been such a
- 6:02Speaker 2: game changer.
- 6:03Speaker 1: For both of us mentally, physically, emotional, all of it connection.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Yeah, so good if it's all of the things, but
- 6:08Speaker 2: that's specifically what works for us. So it's like you
- 6:10Speaker 2: get to figure out what that looks like for you
- 6:12Speaker 2: and make it fun, gamify your training, and it just
- 6:15Speaker 2: makes it so much more enjoyable.
- 6:17Speaker 1: You don't know what you like and tol you try it,
- 6:18Speaker 1: So I don't knock anything until you've actually given it
- 6:20Speaker 1: a good go. Yeah. Next tip is cute active weight.
- 6:23Speaker 1: It makes all the difference to me. I love all
- 6:25Speaker 1: the colors, the fit. It just really improves my confidence.
- 6:28Speaker 2: This is a huge one for both of us. I
- 6:29Speaker 2: feel like when we both feel good in the gym,
- 6:31Speaker 2: it is everything. But it's not just about the way
- 6:33Speaker 2: we look, right. It's like the active where how good
- 6:36Speaker 2: it feels in our body. But it also is like
- 6:37Speaker 2: smelling good too.
- 6:38Speaker 1: I feel like reaching hey, yes, soft fabric and smelling good.
- 6:42Speaker 2: We're both definitely very much scent girls. I think when
- 6:45Speaker 2: I go to the gym and I like don't have
- 6:46Speaker 2: anything on, or if I wake up in the morning
- 6:48Speaker 2: and I forget to put Yoda or on it, I
- 6:49Speaker 2: get so anxious that I don't smell good or that, like,
- 6:52Speaker 2: you know, I've got to walk around with my elbows,
- 6:54Speaker 2: and because I odor, I want other people to. I
- 6:56Speaker 2: don't want to be that person in the gym who
- 6:57Speaker 2: just doesn't smell good. So I'm so paranoid about it.
- 7:00Speaker 2: There's something that I've actually been trying. It's Whole Body
- 7:02Speaker 2: yodor and by Dove, and it's actually got this scent.
- 7:04Speaker 2: It's really beautiful. It's raspberry and roset. It is so
- 7:08Speaker 2: much so feminine and floral fresh, and it's so beautiful.
- 7:11Speaker 2: I'm like, at least that way, I know when I'm
- 7:13Speaker 2: in the gym, I know I'm gonna smell like a
- 7:14Speaker 2: feminine beauty.
- 7:15Speaker 1: You know. But the best thing is it's not just
- 7:17Speaker 1: for under your arms. Yes, it's all over us. You
- 7:19Speaker 1: can use on your inner fis underneath your booth, which
- 7:22Speaker 1: I know we oh.
- 7:23Speaker 2: My god, it gets hot under there, it does. I
- 7:27Speaker 2: think you're raspberry, You're a very fresh kind of girl.
- 7:29Speaker 2: You like a fresh and fruity kind of set.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Yeah, so it's called Dove Whole Body deodor, and.
- 7:34Speaker 2: I think we both kind of like that in that sense.
- 7:37Speaker 1: All right. Our next tip is set realistic goals. This
- 7:41Speaker 1: is such a big thing. When you're setting unmalistic goals
- 7:45Speaker 1: and you're not achieving them fast enough, you're just gonna
- 7:47Speaker 1: feel so demotivated. Having little goals amongst your long term
- 7:50Speaker 1: goals keeps the momentum going, keeps you motivating. Absolutely.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like allowing yourself to celebrate those big wins.
- 7:57Speaker 2: I feel like when you have such a big goal
- 7:59Speaker 2: sometimes it can feel quite daunting, yeah, because you're like,
- 8:01Speaker 2: go far away, go far away, and you're like, oh,
- 8:03Speaker 2: it's going to be so long until I achieve this,
- 8:05Speaker 2: And I feel like when that happens, you kind of
- 8:07Speaker 2: lose momentum along the way, because if you just have
- 8:09Speaker 2: a bad day, you're like, oh, well it's so far away, it.
- 8:11Speaker 1: Can it matter anyway?
- 8:12Speaker 2: Yeah, that's right. Whereas when you set those incremental goals
- 8:15Speaker 2: and you go, Okay, what are my weekly goals? What
- 8:17Speaker 2: are my monthly goals? What am I even my small
- 8:19Speaker 2: day to day goals? How do I want to show up?
- 8:22Speaker 2: What do I want to have done? Movement wise? Do
- 8:25Speaker 2: I just want to tick off a walk today? Do
- 8:27Speaker 2: I want to make sure that I get one class
- 8:28Speaker 2: in over this week? How many times do I want
- 8:30Speaker 2: to know that I've exercised this week, you know, and
- 8:33Speaker 2: it's just really being able to make sure that you're
- 8:36Speaker 2: rewarding yourself along the way.
- 8:38Speaker 1: I loved breaking things up into twenty eight days. That's
- 8:40Speaker 1: why a lot of my programs, for like the twenty
- 8:41Speaker 1: eight day Booto challenge a challenge because a lot of
- 8:44Speaker 1: women say they're wanting to lose ten kilos. You're not
- 8:46Speaker 1: going to do that in twenty eight days. It's not
- 8:48Speaker 1: realistic and it's probably not healthy. But breaking things up
- 8:50Speaker 1: in twenty eight days, in myself, I've done like twenty
- 8:52Speaker 1: eight days of no sugar. Yeah, I'm like, wow, I've
- 8:54Speaker 1: broken that habit. I can see where I was going
- 8:56Speaker 1: to it for emotional support seeah out of habit or
- 9:00Speaker 1: out of boredom. And in that twenty eight days I
- 9:03Speaker 1: was solely focused on that. In the next twenty eight
- 9:05Speaker 1: I was like, wow, I want to focus on calming
- 9:07Speaker 1: my nervous system whilst that's amongst my healthy journey. And
- 9:11Speaker 1: each month was like a different theme and a different focus.
- 9:13Speaker 1: That's so funny. Eight days I could do twenty eight days.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Yeah, only a month doesn't seem so daunting. Twenty eight
- 9:18Speaker 2: days is an a daunting number at all, If anybody,
- 9:20Speaker 2: if you struggles with a commitment, that might actually be
- 9:22Speaker 2: a good amount of time, definitely rather than twelve weeks.
- 9:25Speaker 2: Doesn't feel like a huge commitment. You know, sometimes thinking
- 9:28Speaker 2: about the whole journey can create a lot of overwhelmed
- 9:30Speaker 2: So thinking of twenty eight days is like, this is
- 9:32Speaker 2: a bite sized chunk of my life that I can
- 9:35Speaker 2: absolutely follow through it.
- 9:36Speaker 1: And it's the same with food, like setting a realistic
- 9:38Speaker 1: goal of like, you know, I'm not gonna have any
- 9:40Speaker 1: carbs for twelve weeks. Yeah, like, okay, it's very unrealistic.
- 9:44Speaker 1: Can you swap some of the carbs to be a
- 9:46Speaker 1: healthier carb with more fiber or can you just have
- 9:49Speaker 1: them in one meal? Or you know, are you over eating?
- 9:51Speaker 1: Like when you have a bowl of pasta, is that
- 9:53Speaker 1: majority passed with a tiny bit of mints. Yeah, let's
- 9:55Speaker 1: switch that around and have more mints and more protein
- 9:57Speaker 1: to keep satisfied, be able to help your muscles, and
- 10:00Speaker 1: you still get your carbs. I don't think restriction is
- 10:02Speaker 1: ever a really.
- 10:03Speaker 2: Good idea though, because it only swings you the way
- 10:05Speaker 2: its ractuate binging, and that's how you get stuck in
- 10:07Speaker 2: that cycle. It's finding the beautiful balance at all and
- 10:10Speaker 2: the little things that you just mentioned as well. It's
- 10:11Speaker 2: the little tweaks along the way that make it ch
- 10:13Speaker 2: much change and then it doesn't feel so overwhelming on
- 10:16Speaker 2: your nervous system as well. Yeah, you're not going, oh
- 10:18Speaker 2: my god, I have to change everything about what I
- 10:20Speaker 2: do and completely restrict myself. But you're going, no, I'm
- 10:23Speaker 2: making micro changes along the way, and that's realistic. That's realistic,
- 10:27Speaker 2: And when you want to tie it into your lifestyle,
- 10:29Speaker 2: you don't want to feel like you can't enjoy the
- 10:31Speaker 2: things that you normally would enjoy.
- 10:33Speaker 1: That's the word lifestyle. Yeah, Like it's not a quick fix. No,
- 10:37Speaker 1: you might be changing things and altering things. Like it's
- 10:40Speaker 1: like how to make it work. When I started first
- 10:42Speaker 1: eating healthier, I was like, how can I make the
- 10:45Speaker 1: meals that I love just a healthier version? Like for
- 10:48Speaker 1: a Shepherd's pie, for example, it was just adding more
- 10:51Speaker 1: vegetables in there, buying a more organic sauce. It wasn't
- 10:53Speaker 1: filled with sugars and preservatives and artificial crap. It was
- 10:57Speaker 1: like making little tweaks along the way. And when I
- 10:59Speaker 1: was doing that with every single meal, you can see
- 11:01Speaker 1: that has a really positive impact over the span of
- 11:03Speaker 1: a month, twelve months by you know, yeah, making those
- 11:06Speaker 1: small little.
- 11:07Speaker 2: Changes definitely different definitely does go a long way.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:10Speaker 2: The next one is being able to focus on the
- 11:12Speaker 2: long term gain, right, because you want to think about
- 11:14Speaker 2: the longevity of what it is that you're choosing, right,
- 11:17Speaker 2: And this is kind of something we just spoke about,
- 11:20Speaker 2: but making sure that what you're doing is something that
- 11:22Speaker 2: you can sustain for a long time, right, because that's
- 11:25Speaker 2: the only thing with like, when you're doing the short
- 11:27Speaker 2: stints and you're trying to go so hard so quick,
- 11:30Speaker 2: you tend to burn it out.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Counce back.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Yeah, you burn out and you bounce back and you
- 11:33Speaker 2: go back to what you were doing before because you're like, well,
- 11:36Speaker 2: within this intensity, I'm going to go so hard, but
- 11:38Speaker 2: it's not sustainable. And I think that's the biggest thing
- 11:41Speaker 2: and something that we both have implemented is when we
- 11:44Speaker 2: think about the long term and something that we can
- 11:46Speaker 2: sustain long term, it's so much easy to do because
- 11:49Speaker 2: we do those micro changes that we were talking about,
- 11:52Speaker 2: and then that way it feels like, Okay, if I
- 11:53Speaker 2: were to do this for three months, six months, twelve months,
- 11:57Speaker 2: it feels easy to achieve. It doesn't feel like, oh
- 12:00Speaker 2: my god, there's no way in hell that we're going
- 12:02Speaker 2: to be able to follow through with this. Because it's
- 12:04Speaker 2: easy to follow, it's easy to sustain, and when you
- 12:08Speaker 2: do make those micro changes, it allows you to think
- 12:11Speaker 2: of the longevity. I want to make sure that I
- 12:12Speaker 2: can sustain that behavior and sustain the exercise, the movement,
- 12:17Speaker 2: the way that I eat the food, the small changes
- 12:19Speaker 2: that I do make, so then it doesn't feel like,
- 12:21Speaker 2: oh my god, this is so unachievable for me.
- 12:24Speaker 1: If you're already having that thought of like there's no
- 12:26Speaker 1: way I can do this, it's not the right plan
- 12:28Speaker 1: that's moving forward. It shouldn't feel so hard. From experience,
- 12:31Speaker 1: it doesn't have to be hard. I've helped hundreds of
- 12:33Speaker 1: thousands of women, Yeah, find a lifestyle that they really
- 12:35Speaker 1: thoroughly enjoy, Like women that I trained fifteen years ago
- 12:38Speaker 1: are still training and eating the same way that I
- 12:40Speaker 1: taught them.
- 12:40Speaker 2: And that's what you want.
- 12:41Speaker 1: Maintainable.
- 12:41Speaker 2: That's amazing, and how flexible it is that flexible?
- 12:44Speaker 1: Yeah, so important.
- 12:46Speaker 2: The next one is also making sure that you're prioritizing rest.
- 12:49Speaker 1: So important because if you.
- 12:51Speaker 2: Are going too hard, too fast, and you're not making
- 12:54Speaker 2: any time for rest. You will burn yourself out. And
- 12:57Speaker 2: your off time is just as important as you're on time.
- 13:00Speaker 1: Because it makes you're on time better. If you're tired
- 13:03Speaker 1: and exhausted and burnt out and muscles of a teath,
- 13:05Speaker 1: you can't perform at one hundred percent. That's right. It's
- 13:07Speaker 1: like our phones. We have to plug them in at
- 13:08Speaker 1: the end of the day. We're allowed to have rest days,
- 13:10Speaker 1: and it will make your performance so much better.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Even on my rest days, I feel like I'm still
- 13:15Speaker 2: a paranoid about smelling, right. I don't know why I'm
- 13:18Speaker 2: such a freak. Recently, when I go to bed at
- 13:20Speaker 2: night or I have a shower, I've been putting deodorant
- 13:21Speaker 2: on before I go to bed, and normally I wouldn't
- 13:23Speaker 2: do that, but I feel so much more fresh in
- 13:25Speaker 2: the morning. And we're actually working with a company, Dove,
- 13:28Speaker 2: and they have this whole body's yodorant that they've just
- 13:30Speaker 2: recently come out with and I think it's really cool.
- 13:32Speaker 2: And then there's also like a cream as well, which
- 13:34Speaker 2: you can directly apply under your arms.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Under your boobs, in your inner fires and beyond. And
- 13:38Speaker 1: then there's the aerosol can. If you just prefer a
- 13:40Speaker 1: spray deodorant, they've got that as well.
- 13:41Speaker 2: Yeah, no mess, no noe. Then you don't have to
- 13:43Speaker 2: touch anything, which I love.
- 13:44Speaker 1: I literally have one in my car, one on my handbag,
- 13:47Speaker 1: and one of my gym bag in my gym bag.
- 13:48Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, I feel like one for every place. So also,
- 13:51Speaker 2: but it just makes you feel so good, especially when
- 13:53Speaker 2: you're waking up in the morning and you don't already
- 13:55Speaker 2: feel like you need a shower, even though you're probably
- 13:57Speaker 2: a hower anyway, especially for those moments when you're getting
- 14:00Speaker 2: up really quick. And say for us, like when we
- 14:02Speaker 2: wake up in the morning and we're getting up straight away,
- 14:04Speaker 2: we're going straight for a walk. It's really helpful because
- 14:06Speaker 2: then we come home and then shower.
- 14:07Speaker 1: So it's called Dove whole body deodoran. It is so good.
- 14:10Speaker 1: And just like we're in the studio, we're in here
- 14:11Speaker 1: for eight hours straight. We want to feel fresh, and
- 14:14Speaker 1: we go straight from here to the hotel. We film
- 14:17Speaker 1: content for two hours, then we go to dinner and
- 14:19Speaker 1: at the end of the day, I'm like, I still
- 14:20Speaker 1: smell so beautiful. I don't have to worry about body odor, and.
- 14:23Speaker 2: That's a big day for us. Like, that's a huge day.
- 14:25Speaker 1: It's so nice to feel fresh and smuggled all day long.
- 14:28Speaker 2: And you better want to smell like raspberries and roast.
- 14:30Speaker 1: Okay, so good.
- 14:31Speaker 2: The next one is creating an epic high vibe playlist
- 14:35Speaker 2: that really gets you going every time. So music for
- 14:37Speaker 2: us especially makes all the difference. Like you should see
- 14:40Speaker 2: us in the car when we're vibing out and like,
- 14:43Speaker 2: you know, we stopped at a traffic light, and for
- 14:44Speaker 2: anyone watching us on the inside, we just look absolutely
- 14:47Speaker 2: because a little bit parts out we do. We find playlists,
- 14:50Speaker 2: we bring them together, we create new ones, and every
- 14:52Speaker 2: single time we get in the car, we're like, oh
- 14:53Speaker 2: my god, look at this song. We just found this song,
- 14:55Speaker 2: and it makes all the difference because sometimes you can
- 14:58Speaker 2: use music as a way to increase your energy. Oh
- 15:01Speaker 2: it does, right, completely changes your state. And so you
- 15:04Speaker 2: might wake up one and feel super low vible. Maybe
- 15:07Speaker 2: you're just feeling neutral and not really feeling high or low,
- 15:10Speaker 2: and then you listen to a song and you really
- 15:11Speaker 2: get into it and you're like, oh my god, yes,
- 15:14Speaker 2: everything about this song and it changes your state entirely.
- 15:16Speaker 1: There's one song at the moment that as soon as
- 15:18Speaker 1: you put on both of us like whoa. It's called
- 15:21Speaker 1: Nasty Nasty by Imposta. Type it in on Spotify because
- 15:24Speaker 1: it's three versions. There's a slow version, the normal version,
- 15:27Speaker 1: and then a sped up version. So depending on how
- 15:29Speaker 1: we're feeling wanting to be a high vibe before training,
- 15:31Speaker 1: we put on the really high beat fast like Ravy
- 15:33Speaker 1: type one. So create a playlist or just jump on
- 15:35Speaker 1: Spotify and you can literally search anything like I love
- 15:38Speaker 1: R and B workout playlist or I've got a spicy playlist,
- 15:40Speaker 1: whatever you're into, there's so many that are already done.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Or you can create one with all of your favorite songs.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Yeah, or maybe you actually don't even know what your
- 15:46Speaker 2: music style is yet. This is your opportunity to explore that, Yeah,
- 15:49Speaker 2: what feels good, what puts you in a high vibe state?
- 15:52Speaker 2: What are the songs that get you really feeling like
- 15:54Speaker 2: that energy is like pumping in your body? And then
- 15:57Speaker 2: create a playlist all on that.
- 15:58Speaker 1: So freaking cool. The next tip I have, and it
- 16:01Speaker 1: depends on a personality. I know what I love and
- 16:05Speaker 1: I'll probably still be training like this when I'm eighty
- 16:07Speaker 1: years old. But I know for some people too, that
- 16:09Speaker 1: variety is key. Yes, if you get bored doing the
- 16:12Speaker 1: same things, like mix it up. If you've been running
- 16:14Speaker 1: your whole life, you're like, oh, I have to go
- 16:15Speaker 1: for another run again. Mix it up. Book in a
- 16:17Speaker 1: random dance class, like join the run club, so you've
- 16:20Speaker 1: got company, you're meeting your people community. Yeah, variety is
- 16:24Speaker 1: the spice of life. Even us, we don't just train
- 16:26Speaker 1: in the one gym. Yeah, there's three different gyms that
- 16:28Speaker 1: we train up because we like different environments. There's different pts,
- 16:31Speaker 1: there's different music, it's a different far.
- 16:33Speaker 2: It is a different far.
- 16:33Speaker 1: Go to like a commercial gym. Through our back day.
- 16:36Speaker 1: We train with a training in like this all black
- 16:38Speaker 1: more like exclusive, very quiet gym, and then we go
- 16:41Speaker 1: to like a crazy booty class on a Saturdayhere there's
- 16:43Speaker 1: twenty women girls, all the little bitty shots. We're all
- 16:46Speaker 1: dancing and having the best time.
- 16:47Speaker 2: Five music.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Yeah. But variety.
- 16:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:49Speaker 1: And even when I walk so like we're walking broad
- 16:51Speaker 1: Beach day walking Burly, we do the headline like we
- 16:53Speaker 1: always mix it us and it just keeps it fun.
- 16:55Speaker 1: Structure is good sometimes, right, you want to have that structure.
- 16:58Speaker 1: But you know, for somebody like both of us, who
- 17:00Speaker 1: have been training for between ten and fifteen years longer,
- 17:03Speaker 1: like that, variety brings so much more play and more fun.
- 17:06Speaker 1: You don't want it to feel stale. No, not at all.
- 17:07Speaker 2: And you know, there was a point in my weight
- 17:09Speaker 2: training journey where I was so consistent with it for
- 17:12Speaker 2: such a long time that I did get to the
- 17:14Speaker 2: point where I was like, I do need to throw
- 17:15Speaker 2: something else in. I want to explore something. And that
- 17:18Speaker 2: was when we tried pilates for a little while, because
- 17:20Speaker 2: it was a different type of movement. It was a
- 17:22Speaker 2: little bit more gentle on the body. Whereas weight training
- 17:25Speaker 2: can feel quite masculine, it can feel like strength training,
- 17:27Speaker 2: whereas pilarates was a little bit softer and feminine and
- 17:31Speaker 2: those deep core muscles and yeah, working your body in
- 17:34Speaker 2: different ways than what you normally.
- 17:36Speaker 1: Would even trying a PTE. It's like, we know how
- 17:38Speaker 1: to train, but he had different ways to activate the
- 17:41Speaker 1: before we started, or the little tweaks he made in
- 17:44Speaker 1: our form, or just different ways to do a step up.
- 17:45Speaker 1: I know it sounds silly, but it's like variety again.
- 17:48Speaker 1: I was like, wow, I didn't know how to do
- 17:49Speaker 1: it like that or I thought I knew how, but
- 17:50Speaker 1: the way he's corrected me, now I can feel that
- 17:52Speaker 1: where I want to feel.
- 17:53Speaker 2: Knowing that doesn't matter how long you've been doing it,
- 17:54Speaker 2: there's always something more, always you know you couldn't mind
- 17:57Speaker 2: it. It can always be a beginner at something, no matter
- 17:59Speaker 2: how long you've been doing it. And I think even
- 18:01Speaker 2: working with our trainer has changed the game in terms
- 18:04Speaker 2: of how I know how to train my body. Yes,
- 18:07Speaker 2: you know, like what you mentioned, those little tweaks and
- 18:09Speaker 2: things like that go such a long way. Now I'm
- 18:11Speaker 2: training better, training properly, making sure I'm not getting injured
- 18:14Speaker 2: and all those things.
- 18:15Speaker 1: So funny when we're walking to the gym with him,
- 18:17Speaker 1: he's always like, you girls always smell so damn good.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Yes, this load he has like who sprayed something? He
- 18:22Speaker 2: smells so good.
- 18:23Speaker 1: And it's not just our underarms, it's duve hobbody Jodan.
- 18:26Speaker 1: Literally everywhere we are covered head to toe and I
- 18:27Speaker 1: smell like raspbees and roses, and I love it.
- 18:29Speaker 2: The raspy and rose like someone smells amazing.
- 18:33Speaker 1: That's always us.
- 18:35Speaker 2: He knows it.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Okay. The last tip is just being super aware of
- 18:39Speaker 1: the language that you use, so change it. Like I
- 18:42Speaker 1: have to go work out, You get to go and
- 18:45Speaker 1: work out. Make it fun. And this is why a
- 18:47Speaker 1: lot of the tips have incorporated, like making sure that
- 18:49Speaker 1: you really enjoy.
- 18:50Speaker 2: This and going to the gym or doing a plates
- 18:53Speaker 2: class and it feels really hard in the moment. Sure,
- 18:55Speaker 2: but I'm like, how privileged am I that my body
- 18:58Speaker 2: can do this?
- 18:58Speaker 1: Literally?
- 18:59Speaker 2: That I can push my body consistently, that I can
- 19:01Speaker 2: grow muscle, that I can lift this amount of weight,
- 19:04Speaker 2: that I can hold to playing for that long.
- 19:05Speaker 1: You know what I mean.
- 19:06Speaker 2: It's just those little moments. So I think intention in
- 19:09Speaker 2: everything that you do is so important. Make what you said,
- 19:12Speaker 2: the language you said is so important. No one's forcing
- 19:15Speaker 2: you to move, No one's saying you have to go
- 19:17Speaker 2: out and walk, you have to go out and do this.
- 19:19Speaker 1: It's you get to It's a choice. It's a choice
- 19:21Speaker 1: to have that mindset. It's a choice to invest in yourself,
- 19:24Speaker 1: whether it's a pete, whether it's keep active with and
- 19:27Speaker 1: doing it like with a smile on your face and
- 19:29Speaker 1: feeling confident. Thank you, dub Whole Body deodorant.
- 19:32Speaker 2: Thank you for making me smell like roses and raspberry.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Yeah, so fresh, so confident, and smelling amazing. Well, that's
- 19:37Speaker 1: all the tips that we have for you. But we
- 19:39Speaker 1: hope this makes it a little bit more lighthearted and open.
- 19:41Speaker 1: It gives you like a little bit of it, almost
- 19:43Speaker 1: like a checklist to kind of follow whenever he locks.
- 19:45Speaker 1: You can confer it whenever you were feeling.
- 19:47Speaker 2: Like you feel uninspired, or you feeling like you've fallen
- 19:50Speaker 2: out of love with training or even just movement in general.
- 19:52Speaker 2: And when you can use these and implement these and
- 19:55Speaker 2: just make it fun, light and playful, you're gonna find
- 19:58Speaker 2: yourself falling back in love with it sooner than you
- 20:00Speaker 2: can say.
- 20:01Speaker 1: And you've probably heard these tips before, just like we have.
- 20:04Speaker 1: But like I said, if you've fallen off the bandwagon,
- 20:06Speaker 1: maybe you've had surgery like I did, or you've gone
- 20:08Speaker 1: on a holiday, or you're going through a breakup, you
- 20:10Speaker 1: feel lost and you're just like, where do I start again?
- 20:12Speaker 1: This is little checklist you can always go back to,
- 20:14Speaker 1: And I promise you they might seem small, but they
- 20:16Speaker 1: will make the biggest difference. They will put you back
- 20:18Speaker 1: on the path. Or you're feeling confident, you're feeling fresh,
- 20:21Speaker 1: you're feeling motivated, you're feeling good within yourself, inside and out.
- 20:24Speaker 2: Yeah. Absolutely.
- 20:25Speaker 1: We hope you guys enjoy this and if you'd like
- 20:27Speaker 1: a part two. We couldn't do a part two and
- 20:28Speaker 1: go more in depth of other things that we do.
- 20:30Speaker 1: We thought ten was enough for one episode. Yeah, we
- 20:32Speaker 1: do love to yap, but otherwise we'll see you guys
- 20:35Speaker 1: on Friday.
- 20:35Speaker 2: Bye bye
