- speaker-0: you speaker-1: Okay. Today's question or tonight's question is am I happy? And I'll start that off. ⁓ and I would say that at this point in time, yeah, I would say I am. ⁓ it's not always been the case. It's I I'd I'd probably say it's more recent than not, because there are always different parts. of my life that I think that I could always improve. I wouldn't say I'm on hundred percent happy. ⁓ you know, I did record that video a while back about, you know, life is yin yang and I and I kind of feel that in my life in terms of happiness. Whereas, you know, one part of my life could be really good, but then the other part might be down. And so I'm aware of this. So I'm like, hey, I should improve that. And then I'd do that. And then this side goes, ⁓ wait, now I'm back back down here again. So it's this constant thing. I think overall, ⁓ I would say that I am, but I've learnt through the years that of the parts where I think that need improvement that I don't think I don't think like I know I don't let it take me down too much, if you know what I mean. It it's one of those it is what it is kind of attitudes. And it's like it's not gonna be forever. I know I'm gonna need work towards this. And I'll get to it as soon as I can. ⁓ cause for me, you know, what that's saying is, you know, happiness really is a state of mind. It it's always ⁓ looking at any situation in a different way. So, you know, ⁓ whenever I I I get into ⁓ you know, trying to compare myself to others, that's when you start to go, you know, look at this guy. Like he's doing what I want to do. I've been trying to do this. And you start to feel kind of down, unhappy. But then you turn it around and go, Well, ⁓ I'm doing this my way. I've only just started. You know, that person might have, you know, he's probably been doing it for years and he's had a lot more practice. And I'm still learning, I'm still growing. And so it's literally the same situation. But if you think of it the other way, it it kind of gives you ⁓ it gives you that boost. And So in me saying that, am I happy? Yes. Chances are I've I've kind of always been happy. But of the times when I thought that I weren't, I've just always thought of the other side of the coin more. I.e., you know, I'm jealous, i.e., why has he got that? Or why are they doing this? Why, you know, can I not why did my business fail here and that happen over there? But then at that time, if I had turned it around, I could have turned it into something that is more positive. So am I happy? Yeah. I've got friends like you. I've got people like you that show up that I can chat to for, you know, about an hour at least every week. And, you know, I I I have friends that I have known for you know twice as long as both of you. And I don't speak to them as much as you do. Not because I can't, but I I don't know. Like I'm happy. I've got great friends. I've got ⁓ a really good family. I've got my health. I've got opportunity. So generally, yeah, I'm pretty happy. What about you? speaker-0: Yeah, I was thinking about it today and it is, it's like you said, there's many facets of it and parts of your life that like I'm happy, but there are areas that I want to improve. Yeah. But if you look overall, yeah, I'm happy. Like what I've achieved, I'm happy. You know? ⁓ speaker-1: ⁓ yeah. Over the moon about that. speaker-0: Like if you break each area down, you can go, yeah, well, yeah, I'm relatively happy. Yeah. It's just the, what you what the areas that you want to improve or things that you want to achieve. I'm happy that I've got the time to do that. speaker-1: ⁓ yeah. Yeah? Yeah. ⁓ speaker-0: be happy right where I am and where it's at. Yeah, but that's probably because of an expectation I put on myself. Yeah. Right. But I'm actively working on it. speaker-1: Yeah. Yeah. And that was something that ⁓ you know, I was talking to Adele about yesterday. And in that, you know, we we you, like we, including yourself, are are in a unique position to be able to even explore these options. You know, you said to yourself, ⁓ you know, I wish I was further along. But the good part is like you're actually even able to talk about that. Most people are stuck behind a nine to five. you know, they're in a different situation. They can only dream of doing something like what you're doing. You know, to basically go, This is what I want to do and I want to pursue that. Most people are stuck behind something else and go, you know what, when I'm finished with this, that's what I kind of want to do. And that's where, you know, like what I said before, if you flip it around and go, sure, you might not be where you're at. But flipping it around, at least you're able to do it. You know, and and ⁓ speaker-0: Absolutely. speaker-1: And and even and you ⁓ yeah. Yeah. speaker-0: learning every day. You know, it's like, I've just got this book this week. And I don't know if you've heard of it. It's Ho Oppopono. ⁓ speaker-1: How do you spell that? speaker-0: H-O, apostrophe, O-P-O-E-S-O-P-O-E-S-O-P-O-E-S-O-P-O-P-O-E-S-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O-P-O speaker-1: ⁓ yeah, yeah, yeah. There it is. Yeah. Okay. Ancient Hawaiian practice of forgiveness. Okay. That's really interesting. Okay. speaker-0: This amazing, it's unbelievable. It does things at a cellular level and an unconscious level. you it's like, it's basically what it is, is if you have a, it erases memories of bad or memories are no longer serving you. It's good. Yeah. speaker-1: Really? Why is that really interesting? Yeah, I'm looking at these. speaker-0: It's amazing. You know how you said to me yesterday that I've been a bit quiet. speaker-1: Hmm. speaker-0: because I've been practicing this for a few days now and I've had headaches and my eyes just water they'll just speaker-1: Okay, cool. I noticed I noticed that yesterday. Yeah. I noticed when you were talking, you would take your glasses off and then you were Okay. Yeah. ⁓ It's Okay. I'm gonna check it out. That's ⁓ speaker-0: It's amazing. Yeah, and you know what it is? It's only four sentences. speaker-1: Hm. I'm looking at it now. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. speaker-0: I'm sorry. I forgive you. I thank you. And I love you. speaker-1: Hmm. That's really cool. I'm I'm gonna I'll I'll definitely put that on the ⁓ on the next to read list. ⁓ speaker-0: It's yeah, like I've just said it and my eyes are speaker-1: I know, I can hear it in your voice. I can hear it. speaker-0: I can't like today, ⁓ Dexter, you'd be really proud of me too today. I had a skin biopsy done today. And when the doctor was injecting me with the thing and she goes, ⁓ you know, it will sting or whatever. And I didn't even flinch. I didn't even feel it. And she goes, speaker-1: Okay. speaker-0: Can you feel that? said, no. And she goes, really? And she goes, ⁓ you must be very calm. Really? ⁓ I said, I'm a Reiki practitioner. speaker-1: ⁓ What did she say? speaker-0: And the nurse and the doctor said, ⁓ really? You know, I said, yeah, I'm just practicing now. And, I was doing the, this ho-op-op-ono, whatever it's called. can't, can't, don't know if that's the right pronunciation. ⁓ my, I started watering and I was doing the tape when I was on the, you know, having the procedure done. speaker-1: Yeah. Funny because I noticed you were doing that yesterday quite a lot actually. speaker-0: It just releases It's just, and I've had headaches. Yeah. So it's obviously clearing. I'll have a memory from my past or whatever. And I just acknowledge it. And then I just say the words and it's just like, wow. speaker-1: That's really cool. Yeah. ⁓ Yeah. Hmm. That that's similar to ⁓ when I when when I caught up with Crystal ⁓ And Adele the other week, ⁓ she's going back into therapy. So she just she just felt like she needed it. She she's she w was in therapy a long time ago, ⁓ during the crystal? Yeah, yeah, yeah during her ⁓ during her divorce. And ⁓ and said she made the conscious decision to see it again ⁓ to to see her therapist again. She said she loved it. And ⁓ One of the one of the memories that she had from the first time was basically what you had just said. Like they they actually go back to like a childhood memory. Yep. One that is ⁓ is negative in a way, obviously, that's kind of shaped her. And you basically acknowledge it. And there there's there are some certain things around it. I I didn't quite get into the semantics of it, but it's basically kind of that same thing where you go to that memory. You you recognize it and then whatever it is, you know, it's either either a forgive give ⁓ forgiveness or an acceptance of it or just like, Okay, I know it's there, you know, I d I won't allow it to have the power it has now over me. But you know, we'll talk about that sort of thing. speaker-0: This is amazing. speaker-1: Mm. It's exactly the same. Yeah. It's cool. speaker-0: It's also good for the intergenerational stuff, like stuff from my parents that they've passed down to me. You can clear with it. Like, wow. speaker-1: Okay. Yeah. Yep, yep. Really interesting. I dig that. I'm definitely gonna save that. So, what do you got about you, Vic? Are you happy? I can't hear her now. she's not she's not happy now because she can't hold her. It sucked too, because I could hear her at the start. speaker-0: Yeah speaker-1: Just like speaker-0: You can work on getting a new computer. speaker-1: Absolutely. Absolutely. Absolutely. That's really cool. That answers a lot, Kath. speaker-0: ⁓ my God, Dex, it's just, but it's, you know, it's, the I love you is you in a child. speaker-1: Mm. Yeah. ⁓ speaker-0: I'm sorry is acknowledgement that I created whatever pain I've caused or errors I've made. Forgive me because I did not know I had that inside me. Thank you for allowing me to release and cleanse this memory. So, know, and it's all, can be ⁓ perceived, you know, the value that you put on something that's happened like a judgment or whatever. It's the belief that you placed on something. speaker-1: Yeah. Yeah. speaker-0: and then I love you, my inner divinity meaning I love me. speaker-1: Yeah. Yeah, that's really cool. speaker-0: It's just amazing. speaker-1: Yeah. Yeah, th those sorts of things, it it it's such a you know, a lot of this stuff, and and I say this to people a lot, and this this goes with pretty much a lot of the things that are published, whether it's a business book or a book like this, it's like we all know it internally, you know what I mean? But sometimes we need it written out and followed. speaker-0: As a script? you probably you're not ready to see it until the book lands in your lap and you read it and you go, ⁓ wow. speaker-1: Where did you f where did you find the book? Or who who recommended it to you? Really? Okay. Yeah. speaker-0: I just found it. thing at the moment is forgiveness. Yeah. then I found this book, I saw this book and I thought, what's that? And then when I saw it, it says like the Hawaiian practice of forgiveness and healing. And I thought, uh-huh. Okay. speaker-1: Great overcome. Yeah. speaker-0: And what I liked about it was the Hawaiian practice. speaker-1: Yeah. I I I I knew it was Hawaiian. The second that you said that, I was like, it's gonna have to be something Hawaiian. ⁓ yeah, no, it it is. It it's it's it it's one of those practices that what it it it like a lot of people do it as more lip service, but once you really get deep into it and understand it and ⁓ and learn to ⁓ really use it, it's probably one of the most powerful things you can do. Like I I I I'm still rest. Well I'm in awe, you know, I'm in awe of you know, and it's I I can flip both ways on this, but I'm in awe of of some people that ⁓ are able to look, you know, tragedy in the face. Like for example, let's just say a family, you know, I think it was in Sydney where The family had, you know, five of their kids die. You know, they were riding the bike. Remember that? Yep. And I I don't know if this is if it was this family or another family, but you know, th they say that they forgive the driver and all this sort of stuff. And sometimes I believe it, sometimes I don't. Sometimes I'm in the right frame of mind to to see where they're coming from. Other times I'm just like, How could you do that? ⁓ But I don't know if they mean it or not because I'm not them, but it it it always it always ⁓ it doesn't trigger anything, but it keeps me it gets me thinking. Cause it sometimes I look at it and go, man, like for you to be able to forgive that person, like you must have so much faith in something or in the process, or it might be a way that you deal with it. You know, 'cause a lot of the times, I think for me anyway. the concept of forgive ⁓ of forgiveness is like a letting go. You know i in terms of not not harbouring either the negative energy or the negative feelings you have over something, if you forgive them or forgive the situation, then it's like, well, see ya, you know, I won't I won't let you sort of occupy space within me now, ⁓ you know, to to fester or to build up until at some point you sort of crack and go off. So It's ⁓ I understand the concept. I think it's super powerful. And I know for me it's something that is I think it's I wouldn't say it's difficult, but I I know that I ha I've not Yeah, touch wood. I've I've not really needed it tested before. If you know what I mean. If anything, it's probably just for myself. speaker-0: like, you know, like, you know, I can say I've had tragedy, tragedy, you do, you gotta, you gotta forgive it because it just causes disease and it holds you back. And that's why like, this is just, it's it's time for me to just like release it all. speaker-1: Mm. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. No, I I I agree. I I think it's ⁓ if like once you learn to master it, then everything everything seems a little bit less hectic, you know, because you know what to do as a result. You know, you can sit with certain things and then once you're done with it, you know, if you can I'm not saying if you can turn it on like a switch, but if you're able to internally know that you're able to let things go, to forgive things and have much less of an attachment to it, like you'd be quite powerful. speaker-0: You have a much better relationship. Let me tell you. speaker-1: Yeah. Yeah, because people can say stuff to you and then you know, you can beat yourself up, but then after that's done, you can just be like, All right, I'll I'll forgive that, I'll let I'll let it pass. Yeah. ⁓ that's really cool. I'm I'm happy for you. Like that that's that's really something to ⁓ to study and to learn and to practice, obviously. speaker-0: But you can use it for ⁓ positive things too, like if you're going into a meeting or whatever, it's like ⁓ a little protection type thing, like whatever's going to be said, right? You're at peace with it. And it actually keeps you more present because you're not subconsciously thinking about something else. It's actually really speaker-1: Yeah. speaker-0: I'm quite blown away with it. speaker-1: Hm. Cause it 'cause in theory it i you're right. It it is something that is regardless of the outcome of anything, you you can always defer back to it if you need it. You know, it's kind of like a secret weapon. You know, let's just say you go into a situation, ⁓ and and and let's face it, I I think most people err on the side of caution. So instead of them getting their hopes up, they'll tend to keep it Either mid or some people might actually go the opposite way and almost expect the worst. So when the worst does happen, they go, ⁓ I knew that was gonna happen. And it's kind of like a self-protection mechanism. Whereas if you had the ability to forgive already, you can I you can go into it in any fashion, you know, positive, negative, neutral, whatever. In fact, if you've probably learnt it, you probably go into it with with zero expectations and just go, the the situation is what it is. You know, if it's a positive one, great. Yes, you know, you you you'll you'll be happy. If it's not, it's fine because you'll be able to deal it. You'll you'll be able to deal with it through the skills that you've got. Okay. That that didn't happen as as ⁓ as I thought it would. On to the next thing. And then you sort of start again. speaker-0: Yep. So yeah, it's all about release. Amazing. speaker-1: Yeah. Super happy with you. Big. Got some sound yet or not yet? You know, I I I heard her go blow like really quickly for a second. And it kind and it kind of scared me, so but that's all right. Well, that's good, Kat. So what do you have plans for now then? In terms of moving forward. So you're learning this, which is awesome. speaker-0: I'm just gonna keep doing this. It's basically just, ⁓ I've solved the problem with the doors. I'm going to get the blinds tomorrow. And if I don't have a drill, I'll go buy one and I can put them up myself. speaker-1: ⁓ very good. You know, it's funny, ⁓ Alana was here today and she was working from here. And we were talking I tell you, I I keep referring to my yin yang video a lot because I I I swear life is yin yang. And she was telling telling me that she's been having problems sleeping. And I know you always have problems sleeping as well. And ⁓ so she said to me that speaker-0: you speaker-1: ⁓ it's very yo-yo with her, but but she has bouts of. So it could be like one week is like difficult, and then the next week might be better, and then the next two weeks is hard. And so the other night she was having trouble sleeping. So, you know, go she could go to bed at like nine thirty and then just lie there for hours. ⁓ and then, you know, her friend would wake up and then wake her up. So technically, you know, a couple of times she might not have slept at all. She's just been in bed. So the other yeah. So the other night, what she decided to do was like seeing as I'm up, I'll just work. Like I can't go to bed. So I might as well just try and do something. So she worked and she she worked till she worked till like one o'clock. And then she went to bed. And then she went to bed pretty early. Like, you know, she she slept quite quickly. And I said, Well, maybe that's what it is. Maybe that's who you are now. I don't know. Try it out and see how that goes. speaker-0: Yes. speaker-1: You know, because there's nothing there's nothing worse. It's it's happened to me a little bit. I w I can't say it's always happened to me, but there's nothing worse than you know, looking at the clock and knowing that you that you should be going to bed. And so you go to bed and then the next thing you know, you're like, Wait, I've been in bed for three hours now, it's not working. You know, you might as well just go, Well, if I go to bed now, I know I'm gonna be up for three or four hours. So I might as well just do work or research or read or just do something. Yeah. But not force myself to go to bed. Yeah. And then just go to bed when I go to bed. And then get up when I get up. Because, you know, she's in the same same situation as us, right? We don't need to get up at a particular time. We don't have to go to the office. So I said to her, see how you go tonight? You know, this ⁓ this might be part of ⁓ You just changing, you know, she's through she's going through Perry as well. But you know, who knows? You might be one of those stay up late, wake up late people and it might work for you. And then once you're through this stuff, it might swap, you know, might swap back. You just gotta try different. speaker-0: Yeah, exactly. Just meet the moment where you're speaker-1: That's exactly right. Meet the moment. That's that's a really that's a really good thing to live by and to think of, you know, 'cause speaker-0: Don't fight it, just flow. Be flexible, go with the flow. You know me, go with the flow. speaker-1: What's the thing? It is. Yeah. You know, th th there has to be, you know, there has to be a b a bit of a limit set, you know. Yeah. Like the way that the way that you live is perfect, you know. But at some point you have to test it. You know, if you're if you can't sleep every night, you know, for a week when you're going to bed at ten, don't go to bed at ten. You know, go go to bed later. See if your body is actually telling you something. Change it up. Try things. because yeah, like the the things that have served you. For years and years, just one day might work. You know? Just it it could be the same. Like, you know, I still go to bed early, I get up early, you know, there's a very good chance that ⁓ when I'm older or ⁓ maybe even next week, that at some point I just can't go to bed for whatever reason. You know, and I could spend months and months trying to figure out why it doesn't work, or I could just go, Well, if I'm up, I might as well just see what happens. Yeah. Like what have I to lose? Yeah. That's a r that you know, that that that ⁓ that mindset there I think is is really is really helpful for a lot of people. Stay flexible. speaker-0: Yeah. Because you fight it. What does it cause? ⁓ speaker-1: Stress. It does. It does. And and that's where, you know, a lot of the times, ⁓ a lot of advice that you you hear, the opposite is just as powerful as the advice that's given. You know what I mean? It's again, it's that whole yin yang thing. You know, you'll be able, you know, you could r read a business book and a business book will say, Hey, this is how you become a millionaire and it lists the steps. But if that doesn't work for you, the actual opposite of that could be exactly what it is that you need. But you have to be, you know, you have to you have to have the mindset you that you're talking about to realize that, okay, well, you have to identify quickly and recognize that it's not working for me. Like you don't want to spend years and years going, but the book said that I should do this. You know, it should be like, I'm gonna try this. And if it doesn't work, I might give it a second shot. And if the second shot doesn't work, I might try something else and bounce or do something the opposite, you know. speaker-0: Or maybe you'll source a book that someone's written on how they've tried to make a business and it's failed. speaker-1: Yeah. speaker-0: about all their things that they tried that failed. Well then you know not to try those things. speaker-1: Yeah. It it is like i I I I think, you know, there there's so much more to ⁓ and I and I found this out personally where I can I can learn from things by reading things that hang on how let me let me try this again. When I read things about a certain topic, I find that I get more help f ⁓ for a different problem by reading the book. So let's just say for example that it relates to something else. Yeah. And I'll put it together and I'll go, okay, this is a pretty good book on business, but this guy said this thing and that relates to something else. But I've learnt as a result and I'll go down that path. Mm-hmm. And, you know, I've almost learnt to ⁓ read in a different way. I don't know what it is. Like I I f I do it, I I find that I well, I don't read read, I just listen to audio books. But speaker-0: It relates to something else. speaker-1: I find that I d I do it a lot when I run and when I run and I listen and I think at the same time. It's kind of this whole I I don't know what it is, but it it's kind of like a ⁓ it's almost like a meditation of sorts. So I the the running part gets to be just automatic. And so I'm listening to this book and a lot of the times I apply some of the messaging. In the book to people, like to you and to Adele and to Crystal and to me and to Alana. They're all these people. And I do this all the time. And then I realize that, ⁓ my legs are still going forwards and backwards for kilometers and kilometers. speaker-0: believe that you're a male and you're multitasking. Well done, Dix. speaker-1: It's yeah, it's funny you say that. That's probably that's probably the only time that I would consider multitasking as the correct usage of the word. Because even the stuff that I do, I remember I asked Chat GPT, and it's not actually multitasking, because I'm only doing one thing at a time when I when I'm at home, right? Because I'm I'm helping out You know, this guy with the emails and then I stop and then I help this person out with their website and then I stop. So even though I'm doing a whole bunch of different things, I'm not multitasking, it's just one task. Uh-huh. Whereas the run, I'm running, I'm listening, and then I'm thinking, and I'm processing, and I'm doing all this stuff at the same time trying to get run over and make sure that I'm Yeah. That's probably the only time that I'm multitasking, is that? And it's cool, it helps. Like I think it's ⁓ Like I said, it's it's almost for me it like I can almost relate to it as a kind of reiki feeling where it's flow, it it gets a bit easy. I I I can allow my mind to open up a little bit and like let stuff in. the only issues I have though is like sometimes when I have a really good idea or I want to make it a point. So when I went for my run today speaker-0: write it down. ⁓ speaker-1: Can't write it down. I'm like, shit, I've got to remember, I gotta s I I want to speak to Adele about this because this is like you know, this is right up her alley. but other than that, it's it's cool. Like I I've just been reading things differently. Like I'll you know, I'll read this book that you're talking about at some point, probably next week. ⁓ is it a big is it a big book or a short book? Short book. Yeah. And I also like speaker-0: 10. Like I'm up to the bit now where they're sort of explaining things NLB wise. speaker-1: D did they did they mention it in this book, did they? Interesting. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. I I I I don't yeah, I like NLP. speaker-0: Sure do. It was like an example, know, like just the language that you use and that they use an example of ⁓ a storm. Yeah. And then the parents were saying the kids, you know, don't be frightened or don't be scared. Right. Which immediately instills fear that there's something to be frightened of. Yeah. speaker-1: Yeah. speaker-0: Whereas a storm is just a storm. But the words that the parents said, you know. speaker-1: Yeah. It's it's funny that too, because I think speaker-0: Instead of saying, it's okay, you'll be fine, you're safe. speaker-1: There was something similar. Yeah, there was something similar to that effect when I was reading the influence book. and they were talking about they were they were talking about that kind of a concept and it was almost ⁓ the fact that if you tell a person not to do something, they're more likely to do it. So that's you know, so that's your example. Don't be afraid of this it's just a storm kind of thing. It's like, well, no, I'm gonna be afraid now 'cause you don't tell me, you know. speaker-0: feeling fear. Yep. You planted that seed in my brain. Yeah. memory. Yes. And because our brain is so good at keeping things, it stores it there. speaker-1: Yep. Yep. speaker-0: And that's this, whatever it's called, erases the memories that don't serve you. speaker-1: Yeah. I tell you, it that I I remember having that thought quite regularly. Even now I still have it where I I kind of I kinda wish sometimes that like our brains are like a computer hard drive. Yep. Where where you know where things are, like a memory. And then you can go to that memory and you can delete it and get rid of it. ⁓ and I and I remember the the the thought for me comes up a lot. When a song comes on that I've not heard for 20 years, 15 years, like something that I've you know, it could be a song from the 70s or the 80s, but I've not heard it for a long time. And it plays, and I still know all the words. And and I get ⁓ I get shocked and I get surprised and then I get angry. Whereas like why do I have that memory of that song? Like I think to myself, if if if the memory of that song and the lyrics, if they occupy like brain storage, I'd rather it not be there. So I can free up free up storage for the things that I actually find more important. and ⁓ and it it I always I always find that interesting. And I and and like I said, it's it it it angers me a little bit because it's it's weird that us as humans We don't choose what we want to remember. It just happens. Yep. Yeah. You know, ⁓ I remember who was I talking to? Can't remember who I was talking to, but I was I w I was talking to somebody about I know, it was us, I think, the other week when we were talking about ⁓ how we want to be remembered by people. ⁓ yeah. And we were talk and I was talking about how it was my kids, I think, where we were talking about trips to Queensland. And how they would remember like an obscure part of the trip. It wasn't like a roller coaster ride. It wasn't going to the beach. It wasn't, you know, something that was that I would have considered to be say a highlight of the holiday. It was something really obscure, but it's something that they've remembered. And they wouldn't have chosen to remember it. It it's just some it's sticky for them. You know what I mean? ⁓ and and that's that's that's another sort of odd thing for me. Is that, you know, there are certain things that you want to remember because this is a really important day or this is a really important time, or I should be really happy. And then you just don't remember. But there'll be something else either of that night or something along the way that you'll remember that you'll remember. And it could be something like, ⁓ that's right. That was the day that I drove and this guy cut me off and I nearly had an accident. You know. Has nothing to do with the event, but there's something else that's sort of stuck there. speaker-0: Yeah. speaker-1: So, you know, if if this book can can help you release some of those ⁓ memories and or the energy behind some of the negative memories, then absolutely bring it on. I think it's gonna be really cool. Realizing releasing burdens. Hmm. I think this could help. speaker-0: Yeah. It's amazing. speaker-1: Yeah. Yep. It is, you know, I and I haven't I haven't haven't recorded this video yet, but it it's one that I'm it's actually on my list. And it's I think that it it's one that you and I ⁓ and I and I think people that are kind of in in our realm that do this sort of stuff, I I think one of the most important things that you can do, if not the most important thing, is is basically go inner. It's just work on yourself. You know speaker-0: Absolutely. speaker-1: All this external stuff that people are so concerned about, like it it it doesn't mean anything if inside you're a bit of a mess, you know. And it's not just ⁓ it's not just a thing that you go, okay, like this is the kind of person that I am. It's a constant, you know, why did I make that decision? Why did that person upset me? You know, why am I starting to act Yeah. Yeah, you it's always you know, it's always good to know who you are. speaker-0: at that time. speaker-1: And and I think, you know, there's probably some psychology behind it, but there's different stages, you know, and and some stages might last a couple of years, some stages might last a couple of days, some stages could be th for your entire life. Yeah. But it's always ⁓ important to to check in and see how you're going. You know, what do I need to work on? Why does this person always, you know, give me grief? You know, I was t I was when I was listening to that book. And ⁓ he was talking about resistance. I was thinking about myself in terms of the resistance to be called the coach. Like, what is it? And I was and I was like interrogating myself while while I was running and listening and going, Why am I so resistant to be called the coach? And then in my head I'm going, It's because of that guy that's also a coach. speaker-0: Dexter, is a perfect example for the book where you could do this, right? Because it's just a memory that you've got and a belief that you've put to that memory that is stopping you from creating what you want to do. speaker-1: Yeah. Mm. Yeah. Mm. Yeah, I know. It it it is I like I know what it is in terms of speaker-0: Little things like that and you just do it. And it's like, you know, like I have my my eyes just don't stop watering. know, they'll just start randomly. speaker-1: Hm. Yeah. Yeah, that's really cool. speaker-0: And I just, put it down to something's releasing and you know, I consciously don't have to know what it is that's Just for the fact that I trust that it's going. speaker-1: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That that's that's you know, that's like next level stuff. I'm I'm I'm getting there with certain things. You know, ⁓ that kind of feeling I'm I'm starting to get towards just things happening in life and and allowing them just to be. Like I know for for my for my monthly thing with Sue, did it say it was ⁓ something along the lines of you know it I'm I'm a bit ungrounded and things aren't as happening aren't happening as fast as what I'd hoped for. The message was like the magic is happening under the soil. And ⁓ and I I'm aware of that now. And I knew that's what I was coming into and and I actually know and I'm having that feeling already where it's like I'll look back and go, you know what, I th I thought I'd be doing this by now. But now it's like, okay, remember the message. It it's happening. So I'm starting to be ⁓ I'm I'm starting to have like a blasé feeling about things and just going, Look, it is what it is. The flow. Yeah. Like it speaker-0: the flow. And you work it out what it is is like, you know, I actually felt a bit like that too, you know, it's like, God, you know, this is never gonna happen, blah, blah, blah. And this has come on and it's sort of given me a deeper speaker-1: Yeah. speaker-0: next level sort of thing. speaker-1: Yeah, yeah. There's there's a there's a level of acceptance. speaker-0: It's supposed be where I'm supposed to be. Yeah. I think I should be. speaker-1: Yeah. Yep. Yep. I I've had enough experiences now to look back and thankfully still remember some of those times where I'm able to go, ⁓ that's right. I remember like last month or six months ago where I said that I should have done this, but as a result of me not getting that, I'm now at this position. This has now changed and I'm actually in a better position as a result. And so it it's a lot more, you know, trust the universe kind of stuff. You know, it'll it'll happen when it happens. and and and funnily enough, even today I there's a guy that I follow on on YouTube. I'm subscribed to him, but I I don't watch everything he publishes. It I I just liked one thing and so occasionally I'll I'll watch some of his stuff. And ⁓ this guy is like ⁓ he's a d he's a debunker of thoughts. ⁓ of thoughts of sorts. So, you know, he'll take You know, he'll try and ⁓ and expose people that that are fake and that sort of stuff. Yeah. Anyway, he's he's not seen as a very spiritual guy. because like I said, he is in that realm of debunking things. And he posted this video today, and ⁓ I think it was it was a very clickbaity title and it was and it was something like, ⁓ you know, I didn't want to post this sort of thing. And ⁓ I thought I'll give it a watch. Anyway. It was basically a forty minute video on him talking about spirituality and like the stuff that had happened to him. And for him to even say that is like, ⁓ okay. Like the world's turning. You know, it's turning. Like the for for a person ⁓ like him, and it's his job to ⁓ to sniff out all of this sort of stuff, for him to say, you know what, these things happened and I just don't know how to explain it. But I'm just telling people there that these things do happen. He's he's calling them miracles. He goes, I don't know how. You know, it could be synchronicity, it could be spirituality, it could be something else. But there's just something there. But he had some really he had some really good he had a he had a good story where it was like his first one was ⁓ he had a cat. it's funny, and there was a storm. He said storm. So there was a storm and the cat was running a he the cat was scared of the storm and and he couldn't find him. So he's going he's he's looking for his cat. Eventually he found his cat, took him back home. And when he took him home, he realized that ⁓ his collar was missing. Now the cat has this, you know, ⁓ has this habit of running off when he gets scared. So this guy bought him a collar and on the collar had an air tag. So he he brought the cat home and it's like, ⁓ the collar's missing. I better go find it. So he fires up his phone and looks for this air tag. So he's like walking around the neighborhood. And it's beeping at this area. So he it he goes to this area and he's triggering the alarm for this air tag for the collar. He's going, beep, beep, he's looking around. And then he finds the collar. And then he picks it up. And then he hears this person breathing. And he's looking around. He's like, Hello. Like, I'm just here finding my collar. And the guy goes, Hello. And he's looking around. And there's a guy, like an an elderly gentleman that's trapped under this cupboard. He's been there for like 45 minutes and it's raining and it's storming and no one else can hear him. And he just happened to be there. And he basically saved this dude's life, lifted it up the thing, called the doctors, got him checked out. But it's like how does it work that the cat went all the way there, lost his collar? Like he couldn't explain it. It's just one of those things that it's like, I don't know. Just and he's like, I don't think I want to know, but it happened. And I saved this guy and and I'm gobsmacked. You know. And ⁓ it's those stories there where that where it's like, you didn't need to know. It just happened. It's cool, just accept it. You know, there are just things. So when I hear stuff like that from people like him, it's ⁓ like I get I get a bit of a buzz because it's you know, ⁓ especially now where there's a lot of, you know, weird stuff happening and ⁓ People not sure where to look for things. ⁓ these sorts of stories are like, huh. See? There's something going on. Yeah. You know, like even with Sue, you know, I I ⁓ Adele saw Sue and then Crystal saw Sue and then my friend Wendy saw Sue. And they're like, she's good. Like what she says, like she doesn't know, like, I'm not wording any of these people up, but what she says is like. That's scary. You know, and she's all she's doing is interpreting stuff. You know, she's ⁓ she has some abilities, obviously like you, and she's just now starting to like just trust her gut a bit more. You know what I mean? And the more confident she gets, I think, same with you, the more confidence you get, the sharper your intuition becomes, the more detailed you'll be able to do these sorts of things. And what ⁓ what Adele said And what she loves is that like all of her the the messages that she gets from Sue and then the tarot that she does, like it all matches. It it's almost like somebody knows and so it's delivering the same message. You know, and it's it's almost like a confirmation of ⁓ okay, so Sue said this or your cards said this, and then Sue matches that, or Sue says something and then the cards match that. Yeah. You know, it's so there's something there. And I and I and I I enjoy it a little more when people that I would think that normally are into this stuff eventually sort of come around. Yeah. And and I remember ⁓ I remember ⁓ talking I remember recording something about it and in the in that ⁓ when you get a chance to s to speak to a person and the topic comes up, it's almost more often than not They have some sort of a belief, you know, or they have a similar story. When my mom passed away, this happened. When my dad passed away, this is what happened, you know. And it's like, ⁓ what do you think it like how like why do you think that happened? And they're just like, I don't know, but I'm happy that it did. So playing around in the space is good. So I yeah, I can't wait for you to get back on the horse, hey. speaker-0: Yeah. speaker-1: It's gonna be I know you've been practicing on Vic. Yeah. ⁓ speaker-0: We haven't done it for two days, Victor. speaker-1: ⁓ there you go, the sound works. Yeah. Crazy. So Vic, tell me, are you happy? Are you happy? Are you happy now that the sound's working? speaker-0: ? I heard you calling out for Izzy. speaker-1: Yes, that's right. Is he? No, you said Maisie, didn't you? You say Maisie be quiet? No, I think it was Maisie. speaker-0: Did you say Maisie or Izzy? Maisie. I think I said Maisie. We weren't talking about Izzy earlier. That's previous dog. speaker-1: No, no, no. Use easy. Is it? Really? Wow. speaker-0: Okay. I'm sure he said easy. Can you see the picture? speaker-1: No, I can see it looks like a white polar bear. ⁓ hang on. Almost, almost, almost. ⁓ this screen went off. Tilt it to the side a bit. ⁓ yes. Is that is that Izzy? ⁓ that's cute. That's very, very cute. Girls cute. So tell me, Vic. Are you happy? Are you getting there? Do you have happiness? speaker-0: ⁓ Sometimes. Sometimes. I all the time. speaker-1: Yeah. speaker-0: Getting over 8 notes. speaker-1: Mm. Yeah. And I look I I think that's probably the correct answer for most people is ⁓ yeah, I'm happy, but not all the time. You know. You know, you'd if somebody said that they were happy all of the time, you would actually think that something's wrong with them. Yeah. Yeah. Like why have you yeah, have you have you not had any trials and tribulations in your life? Have you not loved something and they went away, like have you not had a dog? Like, what's going on? You can't be you can't be happy all of the time. And and you know what I hate, I tell you, bloody Instagram algorithm. Sometimes when you when you like a dog video or something like that and starts it starts sending you all of these ones about, ⁓ this is my dog and you know, the one about ⁓ Ricky Gervais and saying how the dogs are the best things and I'm like, yeah I And then you get start getting sad and like, I wonder if I want to get another dog. speaker-0: We were kids we had a dog at dad's house he claims the gardener let it out Of course we didn't believe that Like he's had a dog, I don't know how old the other one was when it last Must have been last no few years ago and now they've got two dogs speaker-1: The diction. ⁓ No. ⁓ Mm-hmm. You know there's a speaker-0: One's... I don't know. And then one is his wife's daughters. speaker-1: Okay. There's a there's a guy who I follow on on Instagram. He's called the Asher House. Have you seen him? He's this big muscly muscly guy. And he was a ⁓ he was a lawyer in America. Quite a good one from what I understand. Typical kind of lawyer looks. Anyway, all he wanted to do was look after dogs. So he basically gave up his ⁓ his law practice, bought this like massive property. in the middle of nowhere. And and he takes care. No, no, not that. He he actually takes in he takes in dogs that are like on the, you know, Death Row. Death row, yeah. He has hundreds of dogs. Really? Yeah. And the thing is, you know, you look at him at you you look at him from the outset and he's like, ⁓ this guy's a bit of a meathead. And then you see him when the vans rock up with the dogs. Mm-hmm. speaker-0: Really? speaker-1: And it's hard not to look at him and go, dude, you're like you're living like the best life at the moment. Because he genuinely loves these dogs. It's ⁓ man, you should see him. He's just it like it it's funny because he's a link. I will. Like the dude is a he's a he's a brutish guy. Like he's good looking, he's rugged, he's tall. And then he's d the dogs come in and then he has like this dog voice. He's like, ⁓ my god, he's cute. speaker-0: Isn't that good? Is he real or is it AI? speaker-1: No, no, no. He's absolutely real. He's been doing it for a while. I'll say I'll send it to you. ⁓ and ⁓ and you just look at the dogs and it's it's there's just hundreds of them and they're all just running around and it's like, this guy's got it made. This guy's it he looks so much fun. speaker-0: Then who does Poop Patrol? Imagine paying for hundreds of speaker-1: I know I know. I don't know. Well you know what speaker-0: Who does poop in Maybe he just walks around in gumboots. speaker-1: He probably yeah, I've sent it too. He ⁓ his property is like is so big that they they could poo i ⁓ i it's like hundreds of acres. Like I've just sent you the link in the chat. ⁓ but he has so many dogs. It's ⁓ he he just it's such an awesome thing. It it's one of those it it is kind of like a dream job. You know when people say, ⁓ I just wanna like have a bunch of acres and Have pets. Like he's done that. And it's just all it's just all dogs. And it's so cool. Cause like he you know, he'll he'll do the ones that are old that are about to kick it. It's like, you know what, let's give him the best life. Yeah, whatever he's got left. and ⁓ yeah. Open. speaker-0: Is that not working? I text me the link instead? speaker-1: ⁓ what was that? speaker-0: My chat won't open alt page. Let's see. you text me the link instead? ⁓ yeah. Nah. I'll alt page. speaker-1: ⁓ okay. Yeah, yeah. I will text it to you, Victoria. Yeah. speaker-0: ⁓ I can't on this. speaker-1: Yeah. I'll I'll text it to both of you. The the Asher House speaker-0: We must be IT retards today. I like it. speaker-1: Tommy working Vic? speaker-0: 10. speaker-1: Share this profile. speaker-0: Sit down and have a cup of tea before I have to get ready. speaker-1: Okay. speaker-0: It's not okay, but I don't know. speaker-1: What time will you finish? speaker-0: Seven. As long as someone turns up on time. Maybe seven or See, this morning I was out... Maybe 20 past? I was so confused at the end, but that's different anyway. speaker-1: Okay. Yeah. There you go. I sent it to both of you. Lee Asher. He runs he runs the Asher house and he just he just has a ball. There are so many dogs. They're just and they're just everywhere. And it's like ⁓ and it's and it's not just, you know, one breed. It's like if it's a dog, it's gonna be it's there. It's like every kind of dog you can imagine. And ⁓ wow. speaker-0: Have a look at it. I the dog into there. speaker-1: And the dogs just look like they have the best time. You know. It's like I'm gonna run speaker-0: You know, took with you know, Maisie goes to doggy daycare. She starts soon as we turn down the street. ⁓ she's got a guy. speaker-1: Yep. ⁓ excited. ⁓ speaker-0: Comping at the bit to get out of the car. speaker-1: Have you seen have you seen there there are these Instagram videos of ⁓ these these ⁓ I think it I'm I think it's also related to a doggy daycare, but it's a bus that picks up the dogs. Have you seen it? Yeah, and then the bus rolls up and the dogs absolutely bolt out of the house. Yep, and they run straight into this bus. And it's the coolest thing because you know the dogs like, ⁓ my god, this is the best thing ever. speaker-0: Unbelievable. Yeah. speaker-1: And then the bus is just filled with these dogs and all just wagging their tails. It's hilarious. It is. How they just feel kinda like that. And ⁓ you know speaker-0: to experience that joy it makes you happy. speaker-1: ⁓ it does. You know, and and it's funny because we all know it and like a lot of the times it's like we should all kind of like live our life like dogs, you know. They just seem so happy with the smallest things. They they don't seem to harbour grudges too much, you know. Just yeah, yeah. And like bumps in the speaker-0: some the bad guys. You know they teach unconditional love. speaker-1: It isn't it's it's amazing, isn't it? It's amazing. And it's speaker-0: You Live from my morning hugs when I get home. speaker-1: You know what happens? You know what happens to me. I don't know if you're the same. So I will ⁓ you know, we were talking about dog Instagram and I'll I'll watch a video that is like it's touching in a way or it's just something about a dog and I'll look at it and go, ⁓ and then I go have to go find Hugo. I don't know if you're the same. It's like, ⁓ this is really cool. I go up to Hugo and I give him a hug and he's like, ⁓ my god. Sometimes in my sometimes in my head I'm thinking, you know, Hugo's thinking, ⁓ he's watching another dog video again, isn't he? speaker-0: Like what's going on? speaker-1: No. I reckon you know. Shit, really? I did not watch that. That's amazing. I'm gonna see if I can find it. speaker-0: Channel 9 news. And they talk about the downturn of the wine industry. Yeah, that's right. speaker-1: That's cool. All right. Thank you. ⁓ that's real that's that's hilarious. ⁓ I had no idea about that, but I'm I'm I'm definitely gonna look that up because I I know I've done it so many times where I you know it it could be something it could just be a video about like somebody videoing their dog and just some words behind it or some soppy music. And then I'll stop and I'll go I better go get Hugo. speaker-0: Yeah because. speaker-1: I'll like smack him around for a bit. He's like, ⁓ my God, can you please stop? I just want to sleep. speaker-0: Do you go like balls? speaker-1: yeah, you know what i it's funny, he's not a he's not a toy dog where you know there there is there there are dogs that'll have a toy and they'll bring it everywhere and they'll always want to play with it and they'll bring it up. Like Hugo will have this thing where if we grab it, he'll play with it for a bit, and then after a while, he'll just drop it and then he'll walk off. And they're like, What are you done now? speaker-0: We play soccer with Maisie. She hits it with her foot. Next time you're around, we'll have a soccer game with her. Someone needs to film it one day. speaker-1: ⁓ yeah. I do, yeah. ⁓ really? So Hugo comes bolting up to this ball and he semi jumped on it and then his stomach landed on it and it's like ⁓ it's a bouncy ball ish of sorts and he basically did this triple flip in the air. ⁓ speaker-0: Yeah speaker-1: And he was like, That's it guys, I'm going home. speaker-0: But Maisie loves it. It's so awesome. Isn't it Victoria? It brings a lot of happiness. Getting back to our topic, happiness. It's your turn. It's your turn. speaker-1: ⁓ Yeah, it's a big It does. It's it's so funny. It it was one of you know, getting Hugo were one of those things that had had I known how much of an effect it would have on the family, I probably would have done it like a long, long time ago. But you know, if I had done that, then that dog now would be pretty old and it might be pretty sad, you know. speaker-0: But then, you you replace them, they're another one to love. speaker-1: Yeah, yeah. speaker-0: said Victoria tonight. speaker-1: Mm. And and it's funny too because it's you know, ⁓ all of my kids' friends, they know Hugo and they play with Hugo and he's small and he's like he's almost well he o he obviously is part of the family, but it's always Yeah, yeah, a lot of times I can hear him barking in the next room 'cause somebody's come into the house. It it's funny too, 'cause it's ⁓ speaker-0: have you met him, mom? speaker-1: He doesn't have I wouldn't say he doesn't have friends, but like he will bark at somebody because you've come into the house for the first time and then and then No, but then tomorrow you'll come back and he'll still bark at you again. He'll just constantly bark. It's like I recognize you, but I'm still going to bark at you anyway. ⁓ yeah. Well that's what you know what, that's what I think. I I honestly think that he has poor speaker-0: Yeah speaker-1: you know, vocal regulation. Like he like it it's it's so funny. I can Well when I go for a walk, I can I can take him for a walk and I can walk him right past another dog. I'll I'll have to prep him. I'll be like, Hugo, no. And then he'll just do this. He'll just go whoop like right next to each other. But if I take him in the car and he sees another dog on the road speaker-0: Thanks to TULC. He just boxed! speaker-1: ⁓ my god. He just barks at the dog. Like what are you doing? speaker-0: Yeah, look. speaker-1: I didn't get it. Yeah. speaker-0: got the car and the glass between you and the you're not gonna get you. speaker-1: Couple of times and like I think he's low key racist as well. He he seems to bark at Asians a lot. ⁓ and and people in hats. Like it's so funny. You wear a hat. I know. I know people outside of the car wearing a hat. ⁓ he'll just bark at them. Like what like I I'd I'd love to I'd love to know. you know Yeah. ⁓ you know, it it's funny. Like I I sent you that link as well, didn't I? Did I send you the link when we were talking about I don't think I did, I think I just sent it to Mel. speaker-0: ecology of a dog. speaker-1: The ⁓ the the lady the ⁓ the pet medium lady. Did I send it to you as well? I didn't, did I? There was the ⁓ was the telepathy tapes episode where they interviewed this lady that could speak to animals. speaker-0: Yes you did. speaker-1: But I don't think I sent you the there's a it's funny, there's a ⁓ there's a YouTube speaker-0: You told me about it, you didn't send me the link. speaker-1: I'll send I'll send it to you. I'll send it to you as well, Vic. Because this girl, she gives readings and there's a reading that she gives an owner and the dog. And it's funny because it's it's kind of like an and reading, you know, or a fay reading, sorry. And she's saying stuff like, ⁓ okay. Yeah, so your dog like likes you the best and blah blah blah. And the owner is going, Yes, yes, that's right, yes, that's right. And the dog's just sitting there, like oblivious to what's going on, but obviously this lady has skills and is talking to the spirit of this dog and getting all of these answers. ⁓ I'm gonna I'm gonna find it, I'll send it to both of you. speaker-0: When are you going down to see Faye again? speaker-1: ⁓ I don't know. I had ⁓ a friend see her actually last last week on last Friday. I reckon what are we in now? August? Yeah. Maybe September or so. I don't know. Well you think you're a Jew, are you? You someone's okay. ⁓ telepathy. Yeah. I'm I'm down. Telepathy tapes horse reader, I think that's what her name was. ⁓ speaker-0: Yeah? speaker-1: But ⁓ she was ⁓ yeah, Dita, D T Young, I'll send it to you both. It is so good. It it's funny because it goes on for a while, but she's just talking to this this ⁓ lady and her dog sitting there and she's just running through this thing with this dog. ⁓ and the mother or the owner is just like, Yep, yep, yep, yep. Everything about this dog it's it's here. All So you're you're saying your chat doesn't work on here. You can't open it up. speaker-0: No. Okay. No, I could get it up. I had to do alt or H, ⁓ alt H or something. speaker-1: I will speaker-0: We've done other ones, but not this one. speaker-1: That's right. I'll I'll send you both. speaker-0: H automatically brings it up, but speaker-1: I'll send you both the link cards. Hang on.
