- Jessica Figueroa: Hey listeners, Cindy Marlar here with the Just For Today podcast. This one I'm really, really into. So today we're gonna do something that excites us. A couple of years ago, I had the opportunity, a friend, actually Jessica, my business partner, she bought us tickets and surprised me, and we flew to Las Vegas and we went to the Garth Brooks concert. And I have loved Garth Brooks since I've been aware of his existence, which is well over two decades. But I had no idea how much joy going to this concert would bring me. I have for the past two years, I think not even a week goes by where I don't think about the concert, how much fun I had. I was just given a gift by one of my daughters of his records, which has been a treasure to listen to. But had I known how much joy I would have experienced at that Garth Brooks concert, I would have taken myself there sooner. So today's assignment. Is what are you missing out on that? You have the time, you have the resources, you have the capability, but you're just not committing to it. Something that would bring you so much life to a moment. What do you need to do? Maybe it's a concert, maybe it's going to a museum, maybe it's reaching out to someone you really admire for some life giving dinner together. Maybe it's a conference you've talked about. But what are you waiting on for something? That could add so much value to your life that you just haven't thought about. What is your Garth Brooks concert? And I every time I listen to those records, they are a live version and I hear the cheering in the crowd. It takes me right back to that fifth row seat where I lost my voice, I couldn't speak for five to seven days after, and he is now out of residency at Vegas. But I wish I would have turned around the next night and bought tickets. So what is in your life? What is that Garth Brooks concert? And go buy the tickets, plan the trip, call the person, have it. Because all you're promised is today. That's it. All we're promised is today. We have no idea what tomorrow holds. So just for today, we are gonna live today and we are going to do something or make a plan to do something that would just bring us so much joy. It doesn't have to be resourceful or useful, helpful, just something that would add so much value to your life. I promise you won't regret it. And if this takes a lot of thought, give it some thought. Get some pen and paper. Think about it. Book your Garth Brooks concert. Bye, guys.
