- 3:04[SPEAKER_01]: We talk about those hard choices.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_01]: He lives by the mantra of hard choices, easy life, easy choices, hard life.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_01]: and we really break that down.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_01]: I love how he explained everything and he talks about how if something is important to you, make it a routine because then you do it and your brain doesn't have to think about it.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I sat there and was like, just in all this man, we are so blessed to have him on the show rocking it at 71.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_01]: I asked him before we record it.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, how old are you?
- 3:31[SPEAKER_01]: Can I ask?
- 3:31[SPEAKER_01]: And he's like, no, I'm like an old lady that doesn't like to talk about her age.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god, you're awesome, but yeah, he's crushing it.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_01]: Him and his wife.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_01]: They still train to ask him about his schedule.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_01]: You guys get to hear what I could routine.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's just awesome.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_01]: Such a great conversation.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_01]: Again, we're blessed to have him on.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_01]: And I think it's going to light a fire under your butt.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_01]: And if it does, you guys reach out.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_01]: Book a call.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_01]: Let's do a discovery call.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_01]: I know we're in December and a lot of people are just like, I'm not thinking about that right now at all.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_01]: But what if you just have the conversation now and then we get moving later in January and get yourself on the right track accountability is beautiful set it up for yourself.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_01]: All right, everyone enjoy the show.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_01]: Hey everyone, welcome to the bomb life podcast.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_01]: Today we have Jersey Gregorac on the show.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome to the show, Jersey.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_00]: I have everyone, thank you for any me.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_01]: I am thrilled.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_01]: I am so excited that you're here on the show today because we're going to be talking like all things about hard choices, easy life, weightlifting.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, your resume is pretty impressive.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_01]: You're a world weightlifting champion, a poet, the creator of the Happy Body Program, which I can't wait to get into.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_01]: you're a freedom fighter, like you have quite the story.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I live long, right?
- 4:48[SPEAKER_01]: So you look amazing.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_01]: You look absolutely amazing.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_01]: So when I got offered, have you on the show?
- 4:54[SPEAKER_01]: Because we get people like submitted to be on all the time.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, oh, yes.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_01]: Jersey is a yes.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_01]: We are going to have him on.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_00]: Fantastic.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, okay.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_01]: So I got to know a little bit about your history because you are from Poland.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_01]: Is that correct?
- 5:09[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_01]: Correct.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_01]: So take me back.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_01]: How did you end up here?
- 5:13[SPEAKER_01]: How did you end up in the world of weightlifting?
- 5:16[SPEAKER_01]: Like how did this start off for Jersey?
- 5:18[SPEAKER_00]: Well, weightlifting started when I was young and I wanted to get stronger because stronger boys bullied me.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_00]: So it was not really a perfect show when I was 13, 14.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_01]: Or your parents and do it?
- 5:30[SPEAKER_01]: Or your parents and to working out or weightlifting?
- 5:33[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, it's just me.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_00]: On the weightlifting team and I got when I was 18, I went into via the department and became the fireman.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_00]: And I was a five man for five years, I really like it.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_00]: So when I was 24, I went to the five protection engineering in Warsaw.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_00]: So it's a category for engineers and officers.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_00]: And then I was there for four years, and 1981 was solidarity.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_00]: It was really fighting with the government.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_00]: then I got my mother to use the fireman for spraying color water on demonstrators and arrest them later and the fire department was civilian force that we didn't want to do it.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_00]: We went on a strike and I was one of the leaders and they strike in the brutally by tanks and police and so on and they took us out and I was underground for four years
- 6:28[SPEAKER_01]: And then they took you guys out because you were on strike.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_01]: You were like, we're not going to help blast away demonstrators.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_00]: So they came after you.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they came into academy and for under firemen and engineers and officers, they took us out.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_00]: And then they resolved the academy, changed the name and asked us to sign the
- 6:55[SPEAKER_00]: And because of that, I was underground and Heidi, and then we used after it was the situation that I had to run for my life.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: So I left Poland.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: I went to Sweden and there in Germany and there's an American.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_00]: 86.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my gosh.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_00]: And did any family come with you or were you alone?
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: My wife had a problem.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_00]: I was she came to when I went to Sweden that she was rejected to go to a road.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_00]: And then because of that she could enjoy.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_00]: And then that was the situation that we could drive somebody in Poland.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_00]: We were just lucky.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_00]: So she did.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_00]: And then she joined me in Sweden about 10 months after.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_00]: in German there was in CIA and talking about the whole underground when I was in it.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_00]: Also, and then shortly after, I came to the US, in 2018, I went to Poland.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I was awarded many medals and crosses.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_00]: for fighting for Poland.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_00]: But 2018 when I went there, the president of Poland was giving me the cross that I was nine years old when you were fighting for my freedom.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_00]: Oh wow, you know, thank you for risky life.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: So I could be free today.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_00]: So that was really that she and and I was glad that Poland is pretty, you know, finally after so many people recently, after so many people died, my family Poland became free.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it was really my happiness when I go to Poland and I see Poland so free, so happy, so innovating, you know, creative and wow, in helping your
- 8:39[SPEAKER_01]: We take our freedom just for granted here.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_00]: Like I think a lot of different finds.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we just want to put still find you know the fighting of the ends between the dark and the fight.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we just get for granted here of how free we truly are and you know what we don't have to see and it's amazing the life that you've lived so far.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, thank you.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_00]: We fight.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_00]: We fight here too.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's good.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_00]: Like America is an interesting system that allows us to be what we are and then also to flip from one direction to the other.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and that's amazing.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_00]: It raises me always.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_00]: Mm-hmm.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I agree.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_01]: So, I got to ask, like, growing up and going from country to country and then finally making it here, you have probably seen and done a lot.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_01]: And I've got to imagine that your mental toughness and learning how to like get through and keep going and not giving up, that started at such a young age for you.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_00]: Well, there's aliens for a mental health is a process.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_00]: compound interest.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_00]: The more you resist the bad one, the bad behavior, the better it becomes.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_00]: But also, it's a compound interest that is easier and easier in a way to resist the darkness.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_00]: And it's a process.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, if you like it, then you can meet certain people on your path that can help you with that.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you can be brushed by, you know, extraordinary people that have unconditional love, or they are fighters, or they are the light of the nation.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_00]: So if you are lucky, you can be blessed by them.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_00]: And if you are, then it helps you to change.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_00]: It helps you to see the path and be strong in when the diversity comes or when darkness touches you.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but so many people don't they don't keep persisting through the tough times so many people give up when it starts getting hard and they don't earn that compounding interest at least that's what I see on my end in my world You know and I teach people I coach them like how to keep going and work through that there is no such thing as failure in my mind because always a learning experience But why do you think that so many people they don't keep pushing through
- 10:56[SPEAKER_01]: and they come out on the other side and they just give up.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_01]: They gain weight, they turn to medication to help with their, you know, depression and their moods.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_01]: No one, not no one, but a lot of people that are just not built any more to like keep going.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_01]: Why do you think that is?
- 11:09[SPEAKER_00]: Well, they all over was by a situation that they found themselves in.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_00]: And it's difficult for them to shift from accept first their situation where they are.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_00]: and recognize where is the beginning and start growing from there.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_00]: So to take the ownership is hard when yes you have not much and you know the plan is important if you don't know what to do then if you're in your mind is only that appeal is the solution.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_00]: So you do it, you just don't know the other side.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_00]: So the knowledge is crucial.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_00]: The philosophy is crucial as well but
- 11:46[SPEAKER_00]: First to know what to do is important.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_00]: Once you know what is good, at least you know when you can fight for it and you can get frustrated and you can learn the way how to keep going on your side.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, that awareness that knowing that awareness is huge.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, that's the one of the things, but to shift from negative to positive, it's a skill, it's Yes, it does the mental health in a way that we develop during our lifetime.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_00]: And if it's our happiness, it is our state of misery, our happiness, right?
- 12:20[SPEAKER_00]: So even as far as we see, what happens to us?
- 12:22[SPEAKER_00]: It is possible to live it.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it is, but you're so right.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_01]: It is a skill.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_01]: It is a hundred percent a skill that you have to work on and it doesn't come easy.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, that kind of takes me to like, I love how you have it right behind your head.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_01]: You guys can't see if you're just listening right now.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_01]: What he's got the banner that says hard choices, easy life, easy choices, hard life.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_01]: That's like your mantra.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_01]: That's like what you live by and stuff.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_01]: And it's
- 12:45[SPEAKER_01]: so true.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_01]: But again, we run into people that have the hard choices.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_01]: And they're like, yeah, I want to take the easy road.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_01]: And then their life is just continuously harder.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_01]: And they don't see that if you work through it and you go through those hard choices, your life is going to be so much easier.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the easy choice is like a natural choice.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_00]: It's the choice of darkness or the
- 13:13[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it's, at the time, it's good.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_00]: The hard choice is something that is very quiet when growth is at state or something better is at state.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_00]: And then we somehow need to accept the hard choice in order to evolve to innovate.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_00]: to grow and to see it, that's the heart choices, that is the way of the heart choice.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_00]: And I welcome heart choices in my life.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_00]: And I run away from business choices.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_00]: When I sense the easy choice, I'm gone.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_00]: When I talk to somebody and tells me to do easy choice, I'm gone.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_00]: So the heart choice is like Kennedy said, you know, we do do things because they are hard.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_00]: We don't do them because they are easy, right?
- 13:52[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of people picked up on the value of the heart choice and the compound interest of the heart choice.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_00]: from hard choice to the hard choice and eventually the life is easy in a way.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_00]: It's not easy like physically, easy, it's easy mentally.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_00]: We feel good about who we are and it shapes us up.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_00]: It gives us, I would say, comfortable sleep, that is easy for us to close our eyes and go to sleep.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_00]: Not to rumy night.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_00]: There's nothing to rumy night.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_00]: If you a good person and you're nothing to hide and you live your life with transparency and goodness.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_01]: It's a process.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it is a process.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_01]: And I always think the best way in my brain to, I don't know, make this make sense of like the hard choices easy life for me, like going to the gym and lifting and doing something that's hard and like right now.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_01]: I'm in California and it's just raining.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_01]: We do not get rain here.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_01]: at all.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_01]: We see sunshine and blue sky all the time.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_01]: So when it rains, it hits us hard and physically we're not equipped for it.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_01]: But going to the gym today, that is going to be a hard choice.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_01]: I just want to stay home.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_01]: I want to stay in sweatpants and then going there and putting myself in a state of pain.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's not going to feel good.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to burn and it's going to hurt.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_01]: But that hard choice of going, that is going to give me such an easy life in the sense of like, I'm going to be stronger.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_01]: My knees are going to be good.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to stay younger.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to have
- 15:14[SPEAKER_01]: body fat and more muscle.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_01]: And I realized that is a hard choice to make.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_01]: It would be so easy to just stay home and skip and not do.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_01]: And then my life would be a lot harder.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_01]: I'd have a lot more fat in my body.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_01]: My knees would hurt.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_01]: I would be probably a lot more depressed, like so many things.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_01]: But I mean, I know you can relate like that hard choice is when it comes like you're weightlifting and stuff.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_01]: That's hard.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_01]: That's hard to make.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm kind of funny.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, it's
- 15:41[SPEAKER_00]: You're in California, too.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_00]: And it's not it, but it's all starting.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_00]: What part of California you had?
- 15:46[SPEAKER_00]: I'm in Benin, Solani, as I'm just going to say.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you're really far north of me.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_00]: It was a whole day.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, wow.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_01]: But it must be totally missed.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we've had rain for like five days straight here.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_01]: So I hope it stays away from you.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you know, the heart choices when they appear, it's really hard for us to.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_00]: act on them.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_00]: So what helps is the routine when you have a routine and it's a daily routine.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, actually you're doing certain things.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_00]: So if you do this for weeks and months and years, it's easier to totally throw on something that you do it because it's a routine.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_00]: So anything that you want to change in your life has to become the daily routine.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that's good.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_00]: Something in the day is that you do.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_00]: So that's empowers you to make it happen in the dark day, in the day that you don't want to wake up.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, you don't want to write.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_00]: Let's say I'm a writer and I write every day for two hours.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_00]: and I write no matter what, I have my two hours and I have to write and I write.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_00]: And no matter what, when I have nothing to write, I face the page.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm in the gym twice a day and in the gym for the Olympic weightlifting.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_00]: And I do the happy body routine which helps me to correct my body to prevent problems.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like a detector for me, like if something builds up with my body, then I know.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_00]: something that is coming.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_00]: It's not good.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so the habits are extremely important.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_00]: Anything that you really want to change in life, it has to be the daily routine.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_00]: Or weekly routine that you do, let's say on Sunday, like on Sunday morning, we go with our dog to the beach and we spend an hour or two, we go to pizza coffee and every Sunday in the morning we do that.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_00]: So you have to find also the things that you do that either daily or weekly,
- 17:44[SPEAKER_00]: that you eat is a daily thing.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, you do daily thing.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_00]: That's why it's every day.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_00]: Every day you live life and you need to move, you need to think, you need to maybe write, you need to exercise.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_00]: All of those that I have to have a certain routine.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_00]: When you routine your repeat things, it's easier to do it.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_00]: Also the body likes it right away.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_00]: So when you know what to do and you go into the gym and you do the same thing the body finds the pleasure very fast in it.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, on two minutes.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it was good, right?
- 18:17[SPEAKER_00]: But you didn't want to go to the gym that mind shifts very fast to something that we do and we enjoy doing.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah
- 18:25[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god, I love this so much and it's so true like because today I'm gonna go like my brain won't even think that it's an option to not go like it could be a blizzard outside or you know like it would take a lot to keep you to not go but that's my routine.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_01]: I get up.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_01]: I have my protein.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_01]: I take my supplements.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_01]: I make my kids lunch breakfast.
- 18:44[SPEAKER_01]: I get them to school.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_01]: I come back.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_01]: I work.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_01]: I do all of things.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_01]: I podcast and then I go to the gym and then I pick my kids up.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_01]: I am like a robot.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_01]: I was laughing.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_01]: I saw this like real the other day and it was like an Instagram and it was showing like someone just drives from home to gym and gym to home and I'm like, oh my god, that's my life.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that's what you like, right?
- 19:03[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, then we know when we do things else.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, there's interesting in the routine.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_00]: When you do the same routine, then there is another question when they're actually you get better.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_00]: You know, you improve.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_00]: So you have to have lots of it behind that you do not waste your time by only doing certain things without growth, without improvement, without manifestation, better you.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_00]: And that's where the hard choice comes in.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_00]: If you go to the gym and repeat on the what you repeat, but you want to actually get better and you don't get better, you waste it your time.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_00]: So you somehow need to know that you are not getting better.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_00]: and somehow we need to know that you are getting better and if you are not getting better, you have to do something to get better.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_00]: So that is the hard choice to think that way because if it's not thinking that the way that you can pick up the hard choice and improve your routine and make the routine harder for yourself.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_00]: So you get stronger and faster and because of that, you also become more powerful.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because it's so easy to get stuck in a rut, like you could like totally just do the same routine over and over again.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_01]: People be like, Oh, no, I have routine.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_01]: I do it.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_01]: But like you said, you got to make sure that you're getting better.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_01]: And then that's why I'm always with my clients and training every four weeks.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_01]: We're weighing in, we're checking our body fat, our muscle.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_01]: We're taking photos.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_01]: And that's a hard choice for a lot of people because they're like, I don't want to get my underwear and take a picture.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to get on that scale because what if it doesn't go down?
- 20:29[SPEAKER_01]: What if it went up?
- 20:30[SPEAKER_00]: You know?
- 20:30[SPEAKER_00]: You know, Gandhi was on a scale every day, and he was on the scale every day to know that he would not live the life of an access, so he had helped him to know that he is not eating too much.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_00]: And that's amazing.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_00]: He was also telling the whole nation, let's live the life of no access, beautiful.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, you know a scale helps in whatever you do.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_00]: I have clients that want to lose weight and I have clients want to gain weight Right clients want to gain muscle and not far Or being at all I have a lot of
- 21:04[SPEAKER_00]: voice for men that are underway about 30, 40 pounds and they need to gain and they cannot gain away.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, I'm sorry clients that they need to lose weight and it's really hard for them.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_00]: So mental concept, yeah, we need to work with and help those that they know that the easy choices are so attractive to them and they do not understand that there is a need for the hard choice.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_00]: So education is the first step to create that.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_00]: Pleasant atmosphere to embrace what is uncomfortable, but it's logical, but it's, you know, what do I think to do?
- 21:40[SPEAKER_00]: So it's a process.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_00]: But it's a kind of process, you know, the process of facilitating for a person the possibility to accept what is hard, what is difficult.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but it's good overall.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_01]: Let's talk about micro progression because everyone is so wrapped up in like I just need to do all of this and just give me the workout plan and give me the meal plan to eat and they don't realize like how one small change and mastering that first can lead to massive progression but they don't want the micro progression.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_01]: They want the big progression right now.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they no longer with the
- 22:18[SPEAKER_00]: And the less we have the more anxiety we have to actually to get faster, but what we want.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_00]: And that's why Warren Babel is saying hey, when you have 18, think the $50 and put it into the interest of $50, $50 and eventually my cooperation is that after 30 years it will be millions, right?
- 22:42[SPEAKER_00]: So that's that point about
- 22:46[SPEAKER_00]: I coach this set about possible was 25 and who was very lethargic and it was like this all the time and he was not able to dress himself and go to toilet and you only the language of to go to sleep or so I started working with him.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_00]: and after a year the boy started being awakened in the car because he was always liturgy and so actually the cars and I asked him what car did you see or that I sold a Chevy or what color was it and the week was passing and the boy was evolving.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_00]: It was getting stronger and so on.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_00]: There after a year or two, he went to elementary school online and he passed elementary school.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_00]: Parents didn't have to dress him.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_00]: The parents didn't have to take him to toilet and, you know, do everything for him.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_00]: So the slow process, micro-progressive process is working.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_00]: And then after four years, the boy went to
- 23:51[SPEAKER_00]: the boy that knew only the language to have dinner or sleep.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_00]: So the micro progress in his five years.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_00]: Now he's community college.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_00]: He has almost 60 units and he's going to be transferred to San Jose State.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_00]: That's five years of work and five years of micro progression.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_00]: So that could help you to visualize what's passing.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_00]: But we need five years to create.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_01]: I agree.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_01]: Like it took me five years to transform my body.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_01]: Like I can completely relate to that five year span with myself because, you know, after I had three kids and like I just wanted to be who I was when I was 19 before I had it like I wanted that body and I'm like,
- 24:34[SPEAKER_01]: I need to be on the treadmill, and I need to eat just like an apple a day and some rice and some chicken breast, and I thought that was just all I needed.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_01]: And now I'm trying to do what kids at the same time, and it was really hard.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_01]: I had like a breaking point moment of like, what you're doing isn't working at all.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_01]: And I had to like, really like learn my whole body and muscle and weightlifting, and I had to take it one step at a time.
- 24:58[SPEAKER_01]: And it took me like five years to like really transform.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_01]: myself.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_01]: So five years is no joke.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_01]: It's for real.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but five years will pass anyway.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_00]: And we are lucky when we have people that can help us with that concept.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, five years will pass in five years.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_00]: You would be doing certain things or not.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_00]: So the concept is hard to embrace and begin.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_00]: And that's why we need mentors.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_00]: It's we need to be go and talking about that.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_00]: Somebody can listen and somewhere, you know, in a apartment, somewhere far away, who knows where.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_00]: And listen to and those things, wow, maybe I should actually do that, maybe I shouldn't think about five years.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe I should go to school or go to see that mentor and that maybe can help me.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_00]: So yes, five years is really a lot of time that can create goodness and create progress can manifest awesome life for a person and it's something that will be available and it will happen to everyone.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_00]: It's not something that maybe it is not going to happen or not.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_00]: Five years will pass in fifty years will pass.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_00]: So it's not only five because you know Ben, I am seventy one and I couldn't imagine myself to be seventy one.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_00]: So you know, I was 20 years old and in Poland it was this TV show about people in Vortes and then when I look at the show, my mother was watching and they were so old, I was just saying, oh, this is so old.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to watch the show about all the people.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_00]: The way in Vortes, they were joking about people in Vortes and what happens in Vortes and, you know, like,
- 26:36[SPEAKER_00]: their crisis in politics and so on.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_00]: So for me, they were the very old people.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_00]: So today, you know, I'm 71.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm thinking about myself, what happened?
- 26:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it happened and then you think about yourself, How does it happen already?
- 26:49[SPEAKER_00]: But then you go on and forget about it.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_00]: Because if you think about this too much, you know, it can really make you, Oh, I could see that.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_00]: And second, you know, and so on.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_00]: There's always a reason to be miserable in life, or be happy.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_01]: I can turn the 7 to 1 in my mind in the miserable manifestation or I can turn it into really fantastic good way of feeling so it's just up to me to make it up right it's a mindset yeah I mean you look phenomenal so I'm curious what is your daily routine look like now when it comes to because I got questions for you about weightlifting and building muscle know that but what is your routine look like today.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_01]: do you do a certain amount of time and exercises with weightlifting, cardio, yoga, like what's Jersey's schedule like today?
- 27:36[SPEAKER_00]: So when I wake up and I go to the kitchen and I hear my wife is making coffee.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_00]: This is the beginning of making coffee and I have a bar and like food bar that we make our own and then after that about like 15 to 20 minutes We go to the gym and do a little bit weightlifting training.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_00]: So that's a little bit weightlifting after that my go to the office and I do my writing for about two hours
- 28:08[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, Bob and my fam, I have a question for you.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_01]: Are you the kind of person who crushes it at work?
- 28:12[SPEAKER_01]: Shows up for your family, checks off every to-do list.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_01]: But when it comes to your fitness, your energy and your confidence, it feels like something's missing.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_01]: You might be doing the workouts listening to all the right podcasts.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you are listening to this one.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_01]: But deep down, you know you're just kind of going through the motions and you're done playing small in this area of life.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_01]: That's exactly why I created FitMine Coaching.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_01]: My private one-on-one program for high-achieving women and men who are ready to level up.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_01]: This is just another fitness plan.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_01]: This is about building the body and the mindset to match the life you're working so damn hard for.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_01]: Because success in business means nothing if you're hiding in hoodies, avoiding mirrors, or dragging through your day was your energy, or showing up on Zoom meetings, feeling good from the chest up, but praying no one ever sees what's going on below the screen.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_01]: We're talking about fat loss, muscle building, and real confidence that bleeds into every area of your life.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_01]: Your boredom, your bedroom, and your parenting.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_01]: You want it all?
- 29:03[SPEAKER_01]: Good.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_01]: You should have it all.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_01]: Click the link in the show notes and book your free call with me today.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_01]: You're ready for more, and I'm ready to show you how, back to the show.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_00]: How long do you live for?
- 29:18[SPEAKER_00]: We live thing is about 40 minutes, 50 minutes.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_00]: So then it's my writing and then there is lunch.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_00]: So lunch is usually a salad or potatoes.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_00]: We love potatoes, right?
- 29:30[SPEAKER_00]: No, we are potatoes.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_00]: So an analyzer is really, really great in making food.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_00]: So wow, you know, as you make awesome salads, soups, and potatoes, and we love sweet potatoes, and it's especially caramelized potatoes when you really baked them.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_00]: Oh yeah, awesome.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_00]: So after that, I take it up and I, you know, well, they're not going to be 20 minutes for them.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_00]: And then my clients are coming in.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_00]: So there can be, you know, like 3, 4, 5 hours of clients.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_00]: And then it's the evening time, then evening around takes we have dinner and then after that, we go to spa, we go to spa, a big love spa where we go to the pool, we swim, just relax there and so on.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, after that, we come home and usually in the evening, we are to the movie and yesterday we are watching movie we give hate, all we have is hate, you know, so as a movie about really racism, it's really tough movie.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_00]: But as Stanton deliver movie was day before, so you know, and me and I'm in a PhD pursuit, so really, so it's the four years already, so in the evening, I work on my discussions and post and papers before, you know, like 11 around, I do them to happy body routine.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_00]: go through the routine and at routine helps me to see if there is an event during the day that accumulated that I need to release.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_00]: I saw somewhere on my bike or I'm completely free too.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_00]: That's the day can shift and change but what really repeats itself.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm on the scale in the morning.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_00]: Again, I always stand on the scale.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_00]: See the scale.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_00]: What is my body weight?
- 31:12[SPEAKER_00]: What I want?
- 31:13[SPEAKER_00]: And also
- 31:16[SPEAKER_00]: So that's in short, but you know, there's certain things that can change in my routine, but it goes around.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_00]: I always go to the gym, and I always write, and I always do my puppy body in the evening.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_00]: I work on the paper, I have clients, and it's always there.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's movable, but not exactly the same.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_01]: I love hearing this.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_01]: And you're a four time world weightlifting champion.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_01]: That is impressive.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_01]: Do you still compete?
- 31:44[SPEAKER_01]: Do you still do anything and get on stage?
- 31:46[SPEAKER_00]: Well, my wife wants to go and compete, but maybe she's awesome.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_00]: She's seven times more champion than they know, but she loves to compete.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_00]: And then
- 31:57[SPEAKER_00]: she was a lot of better in preparation and competitions than I had more difficult this way of diet and food, but remember we were in Melbourne, which 2002 and I had like three days might do my competition and I got so weak and then I said, I want to go home.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_00]: And I never said we don't go home, you think we have to compete and you are going to compete I said go home, I want to go home and you're not going home We are walking and we have the snack, we do this over and over and if we're there you're going to compete That's going to wrap, okay Then you see like you need that person, you know, so
- 32:38[SPEAKER_00]: hard to do what you do.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_00]: And she was like really helping me.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_00]: I was very, was my angel.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_00]: Then the days I go get it.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_00]: And I wanted to challenge you.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's really, we need other people.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_00]: You know, we have to really talk about that more that, yes,
- 32:55[SPEAKER_00]: to make friends, to reach forward mentors.
- 32:58[SPEAKER_00]: You know, if something not good happens to you and you see it and then you want to get better.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_00]: Don't try to figure out this on your own.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, just go and find somebody that is a master in this and it will help you and it will create a facility that possibility to
- 33:19[SPEAKER_00]: to accept the way, whatever the way it is, whatever the way he's actually to help you to get better.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_00]: And whatever they're getting better it is, it's really doesn't matter, but we need people, we need mentors.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_00]: You know, Tim Ferriss was right, the type of mentors and he focused on mentors and he was right about that.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yep, oh my god, you're so spot on about needing other people and there's so much like I don't know people have so much shame around it and they're just like oh I should know how to do this and I can just do it on my own and for the day blame it on a lot of resources a lot a lot of time it's I don't have the money I don't have the money to have a coach or have anyone help which is funny to me because sometimes I'm like what if this was free.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just like, oh, I do it, and I know that a lot of people that have all these excuses, even if it was free, they still wouldn't do it.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's, you know, not because like that kind of hell even do unlog that change, like you said.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_00]: And my wife was like that when I met her, she wanted to do our own right there.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_00]: Some are Soviet in Polish, you know.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_00]: by myself.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_00]: And I see this a lot in my daughter too, you know, like he wants to do everything on her own.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_00]: The collaboration is really a great thing.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_00]: Collaboration is something that can help us to create something together and to experience that.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_00]: I was in the conference in LA, the speech, the conference about creation and collaboration.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_00]: And I do depart in two classes, and I really like it.
- 34:43[SPEAKER_00]: One of the class was writing songs.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_00]: And there were four of us, and we wrote the song that every one had a part in it, and it's not my song, it's not somebody's, but I experienced such a pleasure, such a boat.
- 34:56[SPEAKER_00]: I think the pleasure coming from not existence of stress that is good, or it's not good, or it's yours and so on.
- 35:04[SPEAKER_00]: So collaboration is vital, I think, in life, this to experience it, you don't have to always, but to be with others like a team, you know, weightlifting team for me was really a great thing.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_00]: And if you are not really a master of the build, then reach for help.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a poet, but I'm not a poet like a master that I make poetry my way of life.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_00]: The poetry for me is that poetry helps me to live my life and lead me to write poems for my clients and so on.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_00]: But it is not my mastery, really.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_00]: So I have helped, I have a mentor.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_00]: and I arrived with the mentor.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_00]: In the last 35 years, I have a mentor to have a mentor in the field that you are not a master.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_00]: It's a great wisdom.
- 35:53[SPEAKER_00]: So that's why I have a lot of clients in Silicon Valley that they come and learn from me how to be strong, how to be resilient, how to gain muscle, how to fight weakness, how to be mentally healthy and how to be happy like
- 36:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but two things going on, right?
- 36:13[SPEAKER_00]: And happy that.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, the thing is that find some of if it's not your mastery, don't think that you know how to exercise, if the exercise is not what you do for living, right?
- 36:24[SPEAKER_00]: What you do for living?
- 36:25[SPEAKER_00]: If you do for living,
- 36:26[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, but still, you know, I'm a cleaning coach, but I'd like to talk to other or leave you a cleaning coach.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_00]: But this is my master, this is why, yeah.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_00]: And that's my job.
- 36:36[SPEAKER_00]: But if something is not my job, that I reach for her.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_00]: I reach really for her.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, forever can help me.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_00]: And I find that it's spiritually my task for her.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_01]: Well, and I think so many people need to wake up too and realize that like, if you couldn't do it on your own, you wouldn't be.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_01]: And we already know what it looks like if you try to do it on your own.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_01]: So why would you go continue to do something that doesn't work?
- 37:02[SPEAKER_01]: You know, that's like the definition of insanity doing the same thing over and over again, just hoping for different results.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, you know, it was just funny thing about I send my manuscript of poetry in 95 to their month college.
- 37:15[SPEAKER_00]: Was rejected.
- 37:16[SPEAKER_00]: I wanted to know why.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_00]: So I called the college, but they said, you cannot really know why it was rejected.
- 37:24[SPEAKER_00]: It's not the way.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_00]: I said, listen, I'm going to start it for the next year.
- 37:28[SPEAKER_00]: And I need to know what to work on because in a year, I'm going to send you next manuscript.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_00]: And if you reject, I will do it the following year, the following year.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_00]: The following year.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, until you get to accept me.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_00]: So I need help.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_00]: It's not really to be negative.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_00]: I'm really positive.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_00]: I want to have direction and the head of the department called me and say talk to me and gave me the really direction and it was helpful.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_00]: I became friend with, you know, a round of angel that he was the chair department at Edlands, it was awesome thing and I found Peter Levitt and went to different poetry groups and so on and everything starts happening to me in a
- 38:13[SPEAKER_00]: When I brought my mother's script to my mentor key, it was hundred poems, right?
- 38:19[SPEAKER_00]: And then he looked at the first page in the middle of the end two seconds.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_00]: And he threw everything into the flores, that's all garbage.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_00]: It was like, you know, ten years of my writing.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_00]: And I was just thinking, how this guy can see it was for me, it was just like,
- 38:40[SPEAKER_00]: Wow, I would like to see it right here.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_00]: How you can say it really, it was really easy to do because I was a coach and I had my team We lived in team at UCLA at that time and I lived as a pollholder who sent from Colorado College to me with a letter.
- 38:58[SPEAKER_00]: to take over all the people we live in coaching.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_00]: And I asked him to do the snatch and he did it.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_00]: That's okay, that's enough.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_00]: You know, he took me only one second to know what is his level, what he needs to do, how many years will take to develop his power to be a great brother?
- 39:19[SPEAKER_00]: That's it, one second.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_00]: And I understood in this moment.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_00]: looking at my mentor that it will take time and again said okay it will be like this in five years you will you will write maybe a short poem in ten you will know about writing in 15 well you know you will be writing poems in 20 maybe you will find out that you are a poet do you want to start?
- 39:47[SPEAKER_01]: Wow, isn't that crazy, though?
- 39:50[SPEAKER_01]: Like how someone who knows, like that is their job, they can pick up on it and just like that.
- 39:55[SPEAKER_00]: Like a second, it's just, but I knew that he so went.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_00]: And for me, it was darkness, but I could juxtapose this with my profession in, you know, like, it happened a week ago.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_00]: So I was laughing to myself and inside, okay, I got it, you know, I understand.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_00]: But I would like to see it.
- 40:17[SPEAKER_00]: And I know 20 years past and I publish books and, you know, wrote poems and write poems today.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_00]: It's an amazing journey when you have somebody that has 20 years perspective.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, like Warren Buffett, he has 40 years perspective, right?
- 40:37[SPEAKER_00]: 50 years perspective, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, just perspective.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_01]: This is like this is the best conversation jersey.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_01]: Look, I love it.
- 40:46[SPEAKER_01]: I could completely like really and I never I never looked at it like this before though, but it's true.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_01]: I look at it.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_01]: Like I have my clients and we're part of like a group and I'll have them like send videos.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, hey, show me.
- 40:56[SPEAKER_01]: I want to see what your squad looks like.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_01]: I want to see what you're doing.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_01]: Or if I do like a phone call with someone, I'll be like, okay, lay out your date for me.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_01]: Like, what have you been doing?
- 41:04[SPEAKER_01]: You know, what have you been eating?
- 41:05[SPEAKER_01]: Like, where is your mindset?
- 41:06[SPEAKER_01]: Are you going to therapy?
- 41:07[SPEAKER_01]: Like, tell me what it looks like.
- 41:08[SPEAKER_01]: And within five minutes of that phone call, I know exactly what they're doing wrong.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_00]: That's because that's your job.
- 41:15[SPEAKER_00]: That's your profession, right?
- 41:16[SPEAKER_00]: Because if it was something else, then it was a no-no.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_00]: Like, if it was about writing poetry, it was all.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know about it.
- 41:24[SPEAKER_00]: You wouldn't think about going right before I'm straight.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_00]: That's the whole point of it that wisdom of life.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, wisdom.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_00]: When you really accept hell, if you accept hell, you ask, why is human being?
- 41:41[SPEAKER_00]: And you will evolve when you can do that.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_01]: The evolution will happen.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_00]: And then you will be heart choices, you know, because the help will will help you to embrace their heart choices.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_00]: I know, I'll be to see perspective five year perspective.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_00]: What will be to.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_00]: to know that nothing that is of value was created in one year.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_00]: One year is just almost like nothing for the human being and goodness and involvement that can be done.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_00]: We need five years, ten years, you know, like 10,000 steps or 10,000 days or whatever it is.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_00]: But we need five, then used to get better, to create something great, something good for ourselves.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_00]: And that can only happen with the compound interest and mentors.
- 42:40[SPEAKER_00]: They will drag us, they will help us in the darkest days to keep going and not to switch to something else.
- 42:52[SPEAKER_00]: After three years when it gets hard, you don't want to become the rather enough that this year right and something else you then you will have to become.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_00]: and master of the game.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_01]: That's true.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_01]: That is so true.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god, I just want to keep talking to you for another two hours, but I know we can't.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_01]: Let me, I want to ask you a couple of things before you have to go about weightlifting because I know our listeners are like, hey, you have a world weightlifting champion here on the show.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_01]: You've got to ask them.
- 43:20[SPEAKER_01]: So I need to know like, what would be your biggest pointers to someone if they want to put on muscle?
- 43:26[SPEAKER_01]: I know because I know people are always asking like, well, how do I put on muscle?
- 43:29[SPEAKER_01]: How do I do this?
- 43:30[SPEAKER_01]: What is your point?
- 43:31[SPEAKER_01]: What is your biggest tips for putting on muscle?
- 43:33[SPEAKER_00]: The first thing you have to know that food is not important.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_00]: That exercise overcoming resistance is important.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_00]: If what the volume of food is important, that you grow the muscle over time, to grow one pound in a month is a good thing.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_00]: one pound of the muscle.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_00]: So you have 12 pounds in a year.
- 43:58[SPEAKER_00]: If you can do that, that's awesome.
- 44:01[SPEAKER_00]: When you are older than 35, it's going to be harder to grow the muscle because the
- 44:11[SPEAKER_00]: the nature of our existence is that after 35, we start losing the muscle.
- 44:17[SPEAKER_00]: So resistance is the key here.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_00]: Is that getting stronger is the only way that you can actually grow muscle.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_00]: So you every time when you get stronger, you tear the muscle.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, a little bit, you make the small tears.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_00]: And the muscle,
- 44:37[SPEAKER_00]: Heels itself, once it's healing, it grows a little bit more than before, and that is how to grow fathers.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_00]: If you keep doing over and over the same, then the body will not get stronger and it will not get bigger.
- 44:55[SPEAKER_00]: You have to overcome resistance.
- 44:57[SPEAKER_00]: Now, the repetition is the situation here to
- 45:06[SPEAKER_00]: You know, they say that eight and 12 repetitions are the best to the exhausted.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_00]: You have to also go into the exhaustion, the demands of us, you have to overcome your records.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_00]: So your records are extremely important.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_00]: When you go and let's say the squat and bed first, and you can do six repetitions with 100 pounds.
- 45:32[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so then next week you put hundreds and a half pounds or a hundred one part right
- 45:39[SPEAKER_00]: If you can keep doing micro progression EA opens up, right?
- 45:43[SPEAKER_00]: If you 101 102 every week, at the end of the year, you will be 152, right?
- 45:49[SPEAKER_00]: 100 52, that means six quag, every time that when you break records, the muscle grows very little, but it does.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_00]: Because, you know, if the year passed, there's another year, and then other.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_00]: And let's say, if you have five years, in five years,
- 46:07[SPEAKER_00]: Then if you could grow your records, one pound every week, that would be about 250 pounds.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_00]: And that is impossible to do.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_00]: So that's why sometimes, you know, the first year you can grow two pounds at the end of the fifth year, you know, half a pound.
- 46:25[SPEAKER_00]: But give yourself about five years.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_00]: If you give yourself five years and you want to gain a say 20 pounds, 30 pounds, it's possible.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_00]: But you have to be consistent, you have to avoid injuries, you have to be consistent in micro progression, load slowly the bar, so you create that micro progression, you get stronger, you get bigger because of it, and you eat enough to grow this one pound a month.
- 46:53[SPEAKER_00]: Probably ensured how to do that.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_01]: This was like perfect.
- 46:58[SPEAKER_01]: And I think we need just the reality of like this is going to take time.
- 47:03[SPEAKER_01]: It is going to be micro progression.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, you need to feed the muscle in order for it to grow.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_01]: But you have to make sure that you're changing.
- 47:10[SPEAKER_01]: And I loved that you said that the records are so important.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_01]: And I people just want to be told what to do and then to do it.
- 47:16[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm like, you have to have a training book.
- 47:19[SPEAKER_01]: you have to know what you're doing this week.
- 47:22[SPEAKER_01]: So you know, you can beat it or match it next week.
- 47:25[SPEAKER_01]: And then the following week grow a little bit more.
- 47:27[SPEAKER_01]: And but how do you know if you don't ever write it down?
- 47:30[SPEAKER_01]: Like I can't even remember what I had for dinner last night let alone what I did what dumbbells I held for my walking lunches last week.
- 47:36[SPEAKER_00]: You know, exactly.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_00]: And then you know, the nature is against you.
- 47:39[SPEAKER_00]: So they say after 35 or days against you.
- 47:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, it is the nature
- 47:49[SPEAKER_00]: Really, it's a really hard choice and not only hard choice, it is the mastery to actually grow muscle after vertebrate.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_00]: It would be good to work with personal trainer to find somebody and measure everything.
- 48:04[SPEAKER_00]: So you know that you are getting stronger.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_00]: If you don't have measure your blood or your weight or improvement is everything in life.
- 48:13[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it's everything.
- 48:14[SPEAKER_00]: If I don't see improvement of my clients, I get to irritate it.
- 48:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I have to find a way why my clients is not improving.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_00]: And that's my job, right, to find it.
- 48:24[SPEAKER_00]: And also my job is to tell my clients that I'm looking for it.
- 48:28[SPEAKER_00]: That I'm trying to figure this out because I am the coach, right?
- 48:32[SPEAKER_00]: So, but sometimes it's really hard.
- 48:34[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm increasing the fact that I don't know anything.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and sometimes looking for their solution, sometimes, you know, people have pains and problems and difficulty.
- 48:45[SPEAKER_00]: So they have to overcome.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_00]: They have to develop sens flexibility first, mobility second, and then how to deal with recovery, how to deal with being overtrained, and so on.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_00]: All of it has to be like you said, I work with my client, and I know all of it exactly.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_00]: So the person that doesn't know it, the person will have, you know, what else?
- 49:08[SPEAKER_00]: And someone said, oh, I met somebody, hey, but maybe 50 years old and he said, oh, you're just plateau and then what should they do?
- 49:15[SPEAKER_00]: And so I said, well, it's not your job.
- 49:18[SPEAKER_00]: So what do you do?
- 49:19[SPEAKER_00]: You are investor and, ah, that's my job.
- 49:21[SPEAKER_00]: My job is to get rid of the plateau and improve.
- 49:25[SPEAKER_00]: So you have to come to me and don't think that you can actually
- 49:32[SPEAKER_00]: I would say now the way that's right, not the works, right?
- 49:38[SPEAKER_01]: We call that stay in your lane, like stay in the lane that you are good at, like my girls are all in sports and have coaches and just because you can coach volleyball doesn't mean that you can teach those girls in the weight room how to lift.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 49:51[SPEAKER_00]: So I've taught the investors, I said, listen, if I want to invest money, I will come to you.
- 49:55[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 49:56[SPEAKER_00]: I will not invest my money.
- 49:58[SPEAKER_00]: I will not take care of my money.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_00]: That would not be wise.
- 50:02[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 50:04[SPEAKER_00]: So let's say, let's keep ourselves wise, right?
- 50:08[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 50:08[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 50:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 50:12[SPEAKER_01]: So do you work with people virtually?
- 50:14[SPEAKER_01]: Is it all in person?
- 50:15[SPEAKER_01]: Like, how can people work with you?
- 50:17[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, what we've ever bought in the world.
- 50:19[SPEAKER_00]: Hello, that's it.
- 50:20[SPEAKER_00]: The Zoom and people come to me from all over the world to learn in three, four days.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_00]: They're happy by the routine, then they grow and all the rolling big weightlifting moves and so on.
- 50:31[SPEAKER_00]: And then I have them on the Zoom.
- 50:33[SPEAKER_00]: So with some, I start with the Zoom.
- 50:35[SPEAKER_00]: Some people come personally, I see them so any possible scenario is available.
- 50:40[SPEAKER_00]: I'm adaptable.
- 50:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_00]: And it's amazing to call it created that was to be on the computer at all.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_00]: And it really helped me a lot.
- 50:50[SPEAKER_00]: I started working every day with people that needed me at that time.
- 50:55[SPEAKER_00]: Created that heart disease is a live program that I sew every day people for about three years.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_00]: And really I help a lot of people because of it.
- 51:05[SPEAKER_00]: So I sewed that it was needed to be done and
- 51:10[SPEAKER_01]: Good for you.
- 51:11[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 51:12[SPEAKER_01]: Jersey, I feel like we could just talk forever.
- 51:14[SPEAKER_01]: Tell people where they can find you, where can they follow you?
- 51:18[SPEAKER_01]: We'll put everything in their show notes too.
- 51:20[SPEAKER_01]: How can they get your book like everything?
- 51:22[SPEAKER_01]: Where can we find you at?
- 51:24[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it's the hobbybondet.com.
- 51:26[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 51:26[SPEAKER_00]: I love it.
- 51:26[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks.
- 51:27[SPEAKER_00]: And the book is the happy about it and it's available on Amazon.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 51:33[SPEAKER_00]: There is also Facebook.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_00]: The happy about it.
- 51:35[SPEAKER_02]: So perfect.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_00]: Have fun in your life.
- 51:38[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, once you are okay that I could help, I'm available.
- 51:43[SPEAKER_00]: I'm all okay.
- 51:44[SPEAKER_00]: So this is so great.
- 51:46[SPEAKER_01]: You are.
- 51:46[SPEAKER_00]: I love people.
- 51:47[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I love people.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_00]: I like to help.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_00]: I do help.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_00]: It's nothing gives me more pleasure than I actually help somebody
- 51:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, get through the pains or, you know, get buzzer physically.
- 52:00[SPEAKER_00]: Is a great thing.
- 52:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you are a true blessing, Jersey.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_01]: I can't thank you enough for coming on the show having a conversation with me.
- 52:07[SPEAKER_01]: And I'd love to have you back at some point do an update.
- 52:10[SPEAKER_01]: Fantastic.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_01]: I think that would be great.
- 52:12[SPEAKER_01]: Great.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_00]: I'm fast, very fast, right?
- 52:14[SPEAKER_00]: I've got to make it more tremendous.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_00]: It's more than an hour.
- 52:18[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
- 52:19[SPEAKER_01]: That's because you're just so fabulous, Jersey.
- 52:22[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you know, we had like, I like got off to you, I don't know.
- 52:26[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, this was great.
- 52:28[SPEAKER_01]: This is absolutely perfect.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_01]: But we'll put everything in the show notes.
- 52:30[SPEAKER_01]: You guys make sure you go and check them out.
- 52:32[SPEAKER_01]: Jersey, thank you again for coming on.
