- 2:49crowd tonight. Thanks for being here, guys.
- 2:51Tonight we are talking about the case of a missing child.
- 2:56A missing child named Melody Buzzard.
- 3:00Now I actually decided to cover this case because in our Friday
- 3:06night wrap up it was requested so so I did a little bit of
- 3:14digging. Now this is a case, like I said
- 3:16in the in the open is not all that mysterious I don't think.
- 3:23However, I think that there will be challenges in prosecuting it
- 3:33if things stay the way are OK. Tiff says Lom poke, Lom poke.
- 3:41All right, Rhonda Honda from Lubbock coming in.
- 3:49Julie says Lom pock. OK, now I'm confused now can I?
- 3:54I'm just going to do my best. I'm just going to do my best.
- 3:58I did my best but I guess my best wasn't good enough now.
- 4:04OK, stop this. We're going to take this
- 4:06seriously. We've got a nine year old little
- 4:08girl, 9 little 9 year old little girl missing and has been
- 4:13missing for quite a while and I want to get into some of the
- 4:18details. OK, I thought tonight the best
- 4:22way to do this, instead of creating a presentation or
- 4:25something, we would just go chronologically with what the
- 4:31Santa Barbara police have been saying.
- 4:36And let's let me just let me just bring it up here, OK, So
- 4:47you guys going to want to see this.
- 4:48I am on the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office website.
- 4:51OK, I've got several, several tabs open, 11 from October 15th,
- 5:00the 17th, the 20th, the 22nd, and the 24th, which is the
- 5:05latest update. First, let's talk about where
- 5:10we're talking about here, OK? I'm going to just zoom out of
- 5:16this house and you can see that basically we're looking at
- 5:22California here, right? We're we're in Santa Barbara
- 5:26County, the kind of the north side of Santa Barbara County.
- 5:31And we're going to zoom on in to this house right here.
- 5:42And I think what I want to do is look at that.
- 5:47This is the house. Now what's crazy about this is
- 5:52the the Google Street View when we zoom in, there's our little
- 5:59girl, there's our little Melody Buzzard.
- 6:03I don't know when this was probably a couple years ago, but
- 6:09this is the house where I think she was last seen.
- 6:14And there is little Melody. Now let's let's show you a
- 6:16couple pictures of Melody this this picture of hers, 2 years
- 6:19old. The problem with this case, the
- 6:23problem with this case, there's so many problems.
- 6:26One of the problems with this case is we don't have a modern
- 6:29picture of this little girl. We just have some pictures from
- 6:34a couple years ago. And I think it's because
- 6:37Melody's mother, a woman named Ashley, kind of disconnected
- 6:45from family. This is Ashley Buzzard right
- 6:47here. Here's a recent photo of her.
- 6:51She looks like she has short hair there, but it's actually
- 6:53pulled into a ponytail behind. You can see in this photo.
- 6:59Yeah. So let's get into what Santa
- 7:02Barbara has has said. And you know what?
- 7:06My eyes are so tired tonight. I I I've had my phone up next to
- 7:12my eyes without my glasses on. And that makes it makes it hard
- 7:16for me to to read. But here is here is the original
- 7:23release from the Santa Barbara Sheriff's Office.
- 7:27OK Lompoc, CA Sheriff's detectives are asking for the
- 7:31public's assistance in locating a missing at risk child, 9 year
- 7:37old Melody Buzzard. The investigation began on
- 7:43Tuesday, October 14th, 2025 after a school administrator
- 7:47reported Melody's prolonged absence.
- 7:51Deputies attempted to contact Melody and her mother, Ashley
- 7:54Buzzard, at their home in the 500 block of Mars Ave., but
- 7:58Melody was not there and no clear explanation was provided
- 8:03for her whereabouts. Detectives have been unable to
- 8:14confirm any recent sightings of Melody.
- 8:17The last verified contact with her was approximately 1 year
- 8:22ago. It's been a year, according to
- 8:28the October 15th release, since anybody had contact with Melody
- 8:34and the most recent photograph available was taken two years
- 8:37ago. That is this photo OK?
- 8:42Sheriff's detectives are urging anyone who may have seen Melody
- 8:46or had any contact with her in the past year to come forward.
- 8:50Even small details may be critical in helping
- 8:52investigators ensure her safety. Anyone with information is asked
- 8:57to contact sheriff's detectives at 805-681-4150.
- 9:03Those who wish to remain anonymous can call the tip line
- 9:06at Eight O 5 681-4171 or submit information online at
- 9:13sbsheriff.org. OK, this is how the case began.
- 9:19And we're going to get into some of the details here.
- 9:21You guys are getting ahead of me over here, right?
- 9:23I'm, I'm watching here. Oh, thanks.
- 9:26Autumn. It says May 2023 on the Google
- 9:30image. Yeah.
- 9:32So 2 1/2 years ago, Julie says we need to get you to crime Con
- 9:402026 in Vegas. I have applied to, they used to
- 9:45call it Podcasters Row, they call it content Creators Row.
- 9:49Now I can't remember, but yeah. So this child has been missing
- 9:56for a year. Tiff says her house is 8 miles
- 10:00from me. And Robin says, wait, so when
- 10:07did the teacher call about her prolonged absence?
- 10:09OK, So what we understand about this Robin is that little Melody
- 10:13was in an independent study program.
- 10:16So while nobody's actually seen Melody for a year, she was
- 10:23doing, or at least her work was being done.
- 10:27And then the other thing that there was a statement.
- 10:29We, I think we'll probably read it here in a second, but the
- 10:32Santa Barbara Sheriff's Office said that the, the school system
- 10:41did everything right. As soon as they recognized there
- 10:44was a prolonged absence, they reached out immediately.
- 10:47But yeah, it's, this is kind of one of these weird ones where
- 10:51she was doing independent study. She wasn't showing up to school
- 10:58and so people didn't see her. And when she started not having
- 11:04assignments come in, that is when they went to check on her.
- 11:10Yeah, good question. OK, two days later, we've got
- 11:12another update. OK.
- 11:15Sheriff's detectives are continuing their search for 9
- 11:18year old Melody Buzzard, sharing an update in the case and
- 11:20refreshing their request for the public's assistance with the
- 11:23assistant. Excuse me of Lompoc Unified
- 11:28School District detectives have confirmed that Melody was seen
- 11:31as recently as August 2025. Here is the Here's the quote for
- 11:39Robin. Lompoc Unified School District
- 11:41deserves credit for recognizing that something wasn't right,
- 11:45reaching out and continuing to assist with this investigation,
- 11:48said Lieutenant Chris Gotchal from the Criminal Investigations
- 11:51Division. He added this important update
- 11:55helps narrow a significant gap in the timeline.
- 11:58We're going to get to the timeline here in just a second,
- 12:00OK, of when she was last known to be seen.
- 12:03And because of that, we're closer to understanding what
- 12:06happened to Melody. Detectives continue to work to
- 12:10locate, oh, I'm not showing you guys this.
- 12:12Detectives continue to locate Melody and ensure her safety.
- 12:16Her mother, Ashley Buzzard, has been uncooperative with
- 12:22investigators. Let me just zoom in on that, OK?
- 12:32Ashley Buzzard has been uncooperative with
- 12:34investigators, and detectives have not received any verified
- 12:38information about Melody's current whereabouts.
- 12:41Anyone who has seen Melody Buzzard, who has or who has or
- 12:45has had contact with her in recent months is urged to
- 12:49contact. And I'm going to keep reading
- 12:52this over and over. The Sheriff's Criminal
- 12:56Investigations Division at 805-681-4150.
- 13:02Those wishing to remain anonymous can provide
- 13:04information through the tip line, 805-681-4171 or online at
- 13:11sbsheriff.org. All right, so that was October
- 13:2017th. So we go from, hey, we have no
- 13:23idea. She's been missing.
- 13:25We don't know how long to she's been missing.
- 13:30The last time she was seen was August 2025.
- 13:35OK, so we're just a couple months ago.
- 13:37We're narrowing this down, right?
- 13:41Let's move on to the next one. I'm going to zoom up on it for
- 13:43you. Here we go.
- 13:49OK, this is October 20th a week ago.
- 13:54Through their investigation, detectives have gathered
- 13:57evidence indicating that Melody was with her mother.
- 14:01Guys, OK, I'm just going to, I'm just going to apologize here.
- 14:05Those of you who are normal and normally here that are regulars
- 14:08here, you're like, why is this? Those of you that are not are
- 14:11like, why is Gavin yawning all of a sudden?
- 14:13Why is he yawning so much right now?
- 14:15It is because I'm kind of low energy right now.
- 14:18I need I need to get like a caffeine something in me, but
- 14:25it's because I'm eating so few calories right now.
- 14:31I just don't have tons of energy.
- 14:33And this is going to I'm going to be so embarrassed tonight
- 14:36because I'm on Vinnie Politan tonight on court TV and I don't
- 14:40want to be yawning while I'm on with Vinnie Politan.
- 14:43So I've got to do something. Jumping jacks.
- 14:45I don't know. I don't know, but just bear with
- 14:48me. It is embarrassing for me, but
- 14:51thank you for bearing with me. OK, going back here.
- 14:56Through their investigation, detectives have gathered
- 14:59evidence indicating that Melody was with her mother, the
- 15:02uncooperative mother, Ashley Buzzard.
- 15:07As recently as October 7th, detectives have also determined
- 15:12that Ashley may have driven with Melody in a white Chevrolet
- 15:19Malibu with a license plate 9MNG101 to locations outside of
- 15:29Santa Barbara County to include as far as the state of Nebraska.
- 15:34The vehicle was determined to be a rental car no longer in
- 15:38Ashley's possession. At this point in the
- 15:42investigation, Ashley Buzzard remains uncooperative and has
- 15:46not provided detectives with any information about Melody's
- 15:50current location or condition. The primary goal of this
- 15:54investigation is to verify the location and welfare of Melody
- 15:58Buzzard and ensure that she is safe.
- 16:04Sheriff's detectives continue to pursue all available leads.
- 16:08This public outreach effort is one part of those ongoing
- 16:11efforts to develop information that could assist investigators.
- 16:16Detectives are aware of the strong community interest in
- 16:20Melody's case and are asking the public not to attempt to conduct
- 16:24their own searches or investigations.
- 16:27While well-intentioned, these efforts could unintentionally
- 16:30interfere with investigative work already in progress.
- 16:34Detectives have already conducted A thorough search of
- 16:36the family's residence and continue to follow verified
- 16:39leads in a coordinated manner. This is a politically correct
- 16:43way of saying, guys, you're getting in our way.
- 16:47Don't go bothering her at the house.
- 16:49We've already made, we've already done our search there,
- 16:53you know, just leave it to the pros now.
- 16:57I have mixed feelings about that.
- 17:00I, I think that they should be involving the public a little
- 17:03bit more, but OK. Anyone who has seen Melody
- 17:07Buzzard or has had contact with Ashley Buzzard since October 7th
- 17:11is urged to contact the Sheriff's Criminal
- 17:13Investigations Division at 805-681-4150.
- 17:20Those wishing to remain anonymous can provide
- 17:22information through the tip line.
- 17:24I'm going to say it again, eight O 5 681-4171 or online at
- 17:30sbsheriff.org. Whack home, whack anonymous dash
- 17:34tip. OK, so this is this is our
- 17:39update as of the 20th. We continue on.
- 17:44This is the 22nd. OK, now I'm we're going to get
- 17:47into this here in just one second, but this starts to
- 17:49update our timeline a little bit better.
- 17:53Santa Barbara County Sheriff's detectives continue to seek the
- 17:56public's help in locating 9 year old Melody Buzzard, who remains
- 18:02missing and is considered at risk due to her age and the
- 18:07length of her absence. Detectives began their
- 18:10investigation on October 14th when a school administrator
- 18:13reported Melody's extended absence.
- 18:16Deputies attempted to contact Melody and her mother, Ashley
- 18:20Buzzard, at their residence in the 500 block of Mars Ave. in
- 18:23Lompoc, but Melody was not home and there was no verifiable
- 18:29explanation for her whereabouts. Through their ongoing
- 18:32investigation, detectives have found evidence that Melody was
- 18:36with her mother as recently as October 7th and they determined
- 18:40blah blah blah that she traveled as far away as Nebraska.
- 18:43At this stage, Ashley remains uncooperative and has not
- 18:47provided any information about Melody's current location or
- 18:50welfare. By the way, guys, this is one of
- 18:54these where we we may engage in some speculation here, OK?
- 19:01I'm looking forward to reading your comments.
- 19:05Detectives are coordinating with local, state, and federal
- 19:09partners. The FBI joined the investigation
- 19:12on Saturday, October 18th. Searches have already been
- 19:16conducted at the family's residence and surrounding areas,
- 19:19and detectives continue to follow every credible lead.
- 19:27The Sheriff's Office is a quote. The Sheriff's Office shares the
- 19:30community's concern for military safety and is committed to
- 19:34bringing her home, said Sheriff Bill Brown.
- 19:36We are grateful to the media for disseminating Melody's photo and
- 19:40the information surrounding her disappearance far and wide,
- 19:42which we hope will help us solve this perplexing case.
- 19:46I don't think it's all that perplexing, but keep going.
- 19:50We are hopeful that Melody might be with someone, perhaps an
- 19:53extended family member or friend, who may not be aware of
- 19:57the circumstances of her disappearance.
- 20:00The Sheriff's Office encourages anyone who has information on
- 20:04Melody Buzzard Buzzard's possible whereabouts to contact
- 20:08detectives immediately via the following means.
- 20:12It's the same lines, right? 805-681-4150 or to be anonymous,
- 20:18805-681-4171 or spsheriff.org. Members of the public are
- 20:25strongly discouraged from conducting their own searches or
- 20:28investigations, as doing so could disrupt or duplicate
- 20:32ongoing law enforcement operations.
- 20:34Who cares if it's duplicated? I don't get it.
- 20:37The most effective way to help is by sharing factual
- 20:40information directly with detectives.
- 20:41The most recent verified photo of Melody is approximately 2
- 20:46years old. This is the photo.
- 20:48She is a nine year old female, approximately 4 foot 6 inches
- 20:52tall and 60 lbs with brown hair and brown eyes.
- 20:57Investigators note that her appearance may have changed
- 21:00since the time the photo was taken.
- 21:02We're actually going to get into appearance here in just a
- 21:04second. Detectives will continue to
- 21:08provide updates as information becomes available that will not
- 21:12compromise the investigation. The Sheriff's Office is
- 21:14providing a timeline of this case to demonstrate the progress
- 21:18and timeline of events to the search.
- 21:20Now let me open up this timeline for you guys.
- 21:25This was this was created by the Santa Barbara Sheriff's.
- 21:29OK, so this is the most recent photo of Melody from 2023.
- 21:35She was seen in August of 2025. Lompoc Unified School District
- 21:40Verified Sighting On October 7th, there was a verified
- 21:45sighting of Melody and Ashley beginning a road trip to
- 21:50Nebraska where Ashley returned to Lompoc without Melody.
- 21:54They were in a white Chevy. What was it?
- 21:59It was a let me go back with a white white Chevy Malibu license
- 22:16plate 9MNG101. On October 14th, there was check
- 22:27the welfare request by Lompoc Unified School District prompts
- 22:31onset of missing person investigation.
- 22:33Ashley was contacted the residence and could not provide
- 22:36reasonable explanation of Melody's whereabouts.
- 22:42Maybe she just would not. On the 15th, detectives served a
- 22:47search warrant at the residence. Melody is not located.
- 22:50Ashley remains uncooperative. On the 18th, the FBI enjoy
- 22:56joined the investigation and as of the 22nd when this was
- 23:02disseminated, Melody remains an at risk missing person.
- 23:08They had a couple typos there, but that's OK.
- 23:10Ashley remains uncooperative. OK, all right, now on the 24th,
- 23:19which was the last time we got an update, and I think they may
- 23:25have updated this. Let's see, what did they, oh,
- 23:37they added in. On the 10th is when Ashley
- 23:40returned to Lompoc without Melody, so they added that in.
- 23:46OK, let's go back here. OK.
- 23:49On the 24th, sheriff's detectives are releasing an
- 23:53updated timeline and recently obtained surveillance images
- 23:56that as they continue their search for missing 9 year old
- 23:59Melody. The investigation it, it did
- 24:02their whole thing. OK.
- 24:04Through their ongoing investigation, detectives have
- 24:06narrowed the critical timeline to between October 7th and
- 24:10October 10th, 2025. Investigators have confirmed
- 24:17that Ashley was seen returning to her Lompoc residence on
- 24:20October 10th, driving the same rental vehicle she departed with
- 24:24on October 7th, but Melody was not in the car.
- 24:28Investigators understand that this three day road trip went
- 24:31from Lompoc to the Nebraska area with the return trip including
- 24:36the state of Kansas. Let's real quick, let's just
- 24:43look at this for those of you not in the United States of
- 24:49America, Nebraska is clear the devil over here.
- 24:57So from Southern California over to Nebraska and then from
- 25:06Nebraska it included Kansas. Maybe she went down and back or
- 25:10maybe she came back another way, but that is quite a loop Y'all
- 25:14that that would take all of three days to do.
- 25:19I mean, Kimberly and I can drive from here out to here in 40 in
- 25:27about 40 hours. If we do it straight, only
- 25:30braking for like gas and bathroom, we can do 40 hours.
- 25:37That is that's roughly the amount of driving that would
- 25:41happen here, right? It's about halfway and back
- 25:44again. So yeah, if you're stopping for
- 25:47anything, it's going to take all of those three days.
- 25:50It's that's tough driving. You have to have multiple
- 25:52drivers to be able to do it. Like Kimberly and I do it.
- 25:55We have like 5, right? So yeah, very, very difficult.
- 26:02OK, detectives are now focused on determining where Melody was
- 26:09during those three days and where she may be now.
- 26:12And we're going to show these photos track.
- 26:14Let me just bring it up here real quick.
- 26:16Not that one, sorry, This one. OK, There are two photos that
- 26:20they released. This one right here that is
- 26:24verified to be Melody and this one that is verified to be
- 26:30Melody. Now they say in their update.
- 26:35As part of this update, detectives are sharing
- 26:37surveillance images of Melody captured at a local car rental
- 26:40business on October 7th. In the photo, Melody is wearing
- 26:44a hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled up and what appears
- 26:49to be a wig that is darker and straighter than her natural
- 26:53hair. Investigators believe the wig
- 26:56may have been used to alter her appearance.
- 27:00Detectives also note that Ashley is known to wear wigs, Sheriff
- 27:07Bill Brown said. Our detectives are following
- 27:11every lead in the case. We continue to seek information
- 27:15from the public that could help us find Melody, said Sheriff
- 27:18Bill Brown. It's weird how they wrote that.
- 27:21We remain determined to bring her home safely.
- 27:25That is the quote from Sheriff Brown.
- 27:28Detectives once again are asking anyone who has seen Melody or
- 27:31has information about her whereabouts to contact the
- 27:34Sheriff's Office. The detective line once again is
- 27:37805-681-4150. The anonymous tip line is
- 27:43805-681-4171. Online tips can be
- 27:50sbsheriff.org. Members of the public again are
- 27:54asked not to conduct independent searches or investigations, as
- 27:57doing so could interfere interfere with law enforcement
- 28:00efforts. The best way to help is by
- 28:02sharing factual information directly with detectives.
- 28:05Again, Melody Buzzard is 9 years old.
- 28:09She's approximately 4 feet 6 inches tall.
- 28:11She weighs approximately 60 lbs with brown hair and brown eyes.
- 28:17Detectives will continue to provide updates as new
- 28:19information becomes available that does not compromise the
- 28:22integrity of the investigation. And I just want to check to see
- 28:27if there's anything else that may have come out.
- 28:34Let's see the latest. The latest news is as of the
- 28:4124th. OK so I did see, oh I wanted to
- 28:51show you guys the FBI, the FBI website has her case listed, has
- 28:58the same three photos of Melody that we just looked at do and
- 29:14the details that they say the FB is.
- 29:18Los Angeles Field Office and sheriff's detectives in Santa
- 29:21Barbara County, California are asking for the public's
- 29:23assistant in locating an at risk 9 year old, locating, missing
- 29:30and at risk 9 year old Melody Buzzard.
- 29:32Law enforcement authorities attempted to contact Melody and
- 29:35her mother, Ashley Buzzard, at their home in the 500 block of
- 29:38Mars Ave. in Lompoc, CA, after a school administrator reported
- 29:42Melody's prolonged absence from school.
- 29:44However, Melody was not there, and no clear explanation was
- 29:48provided for her whereabouts. The investigation indicates that
- 29:51Melody was with her mother as recently as October 7th.
- 29:56And talks about the Chevy Malibu, talks about going from
- 30:00Santa Barbara to Nebraska and back.
- 30:03So yeah. And you can submit tips at
- 30:06tips.fbi.gov. So yeah, a lot of people are
- 30:11looking for Little Miss Melody and I fear that.
- 30:19I fear, I fear that she is not with us anymore.
- 30:23I hope that's not the case. I hope that is not the case.
- 30:26But she's been missing since October 7th and the behavior of
- 30:32the mom is just weird now. All of this you know this that's
- 30:42just speculation on my on my part.
- 30:44So let me let me scroll up to see what you guys are saying
- 30:48here. Mooney is saying that I should
- 30:54not be yawning on Vinny Polontin tonight.
- 30:59Tiff knocks get your blood sugar up drink a small glass of juice.
- 31:02I can't. I can't because of because of
- 31:06the well, I don't want to say it's a diet.
- 31:09It's not a diet because of the nutritional program that that
- 31:16I've been put on. So I can't.
- 31:18I've just got to, I've just got to suck it up, I guess.
- 31:24Gavin, is there no father figure in this child's life?
- 31:26I have not. Well, actually I have.
- 31:29So I understand that there is a sister.
- 31:36Melody has a sister, a big sister who who shares the same
- 31:41father as Melody. She looks to be a woman in her
- 31:4520s. She the videos that I saw of her
- 31:50interview had her. The first one was where she was
- 31:54just trying to get Ashley to talk to her.
- 31:59And the second one was a little more, a little more direct.
- 32:03It was she's she's upset. So.
- 32:08But I don't know. It does seem from those those
- 32:13interviews that I've seen in that video that I've seen that
- 32:15the father and that entire side of Melody's family is not in the
- 32:20picture. That's what it looks like to me.
- 32:24So yeah, that's tough. So yeah, ML Loftus looks like no
- 32:32father figure in her life, Dev says.
- 32:35I'm sorry about your low energy, Gavin, but I do think your
- 32:38smooth voice and periodic yawning would make you a star in
- 32:41the SMR community. That's funny.
- 32:46Yawns every once in a while. Melissa, what time are you going
- 32:49to be on Vinnie Politan? I think he's on tonight at 9:00,
- 32:52and I think I'm in the first segment.
- 32:57Robin Bernardi says after hearing so many stories through
- 33:00the years, it doesn't bode well for this child.
- 33:02Statistically speaking, the story is similar to other cases
- 33:05in the past. Yeah, that's what I fear.
- 33:08That is what I fear. And just a cute little thing.
- 33:13Just an adorable little thing. Oh, my goodness.
- 33:16Look at that smile. Look at that little girl.
- 33:20Just adorable. But I'm, I'm fearful on this
- 33:27one. Now, let's talk about Ashley for
- 33:29a second. OK, Ashley is actually doing.
- 33:37I don't, I don't want you to misunderstand me.
- 33:40So let me, let me preface it. If Ashley is guilty of doing
- 33:45something nefarious with her daughter, she is doing what a
- 33:49lawyer would tell her to do. I, I don't want to say she's
- 33:52doing the right thing because it's definitely not the right
- 33:54thing, but she is making this case extremely challenging for
- 34:01law enforcement. Now, here's the good news.
- 34:05The good news is they know What Car she was driving there.
- 34:10For those of you outside of the United States who or even those
- 34:13in the United States who don't really get out into the United
- 34:16States much, it's actually mostly a big, vast, empty
- 34:22country. And there are lots of places
- 34:26along the highways where where a child could be disposed of.
- 34:34That's just the sad truth of it. They're just lots of places
- 34:39where that could be. But if she went into any city or
- 34:44any town in Nebraska, likely they have her on video.
- 34:49They're able and so I mean, hopefully they'll be able to
- 34:52hopefully they're putting out this message in Nebraska and and
- 34:56in Kansas, right? In those places where Ashley
- 35:00went just, yeah, this, this is her just like walking out of her
- 35:06house, not talking to anybody, just walking out and leaving and
- 35:10getting she's she's dressed up with places to go.
- 35:15It's just so, so interesting. But yeah, Robin, I'm with you.
- 35:22This is a tough one. Patty says from another show,
- 35:29Maybe Nancy Grace, A family member said that she that the
- 35:32mother, Ashley, has bipolar disorder, which may be why she's
- 35:37not cooperative. I guess possible.
- 35:43Just refreshed. OK.
- 35:49Jess Ducky. She was ordered to produce her
- 35:51and didn't. Do you know what she can be
- 35:53charged with? I I actually don't know what she
- 35:59could be charged with at this point.
- 36:01It would only be speculation. But if they do have any evidence
- 36:07of any wrongdoing, I guarantee you they'll charge it.
- 36:14But yeah, I don't know. Yeah.
- 36:19The pictures say 2023. Not not this one.
- 36:27This is a recent picture. These are recent pictures.
- 36:36Yeah. Do you know if Melody's mom was
- 36:42on surveillance video with her? I don't, but I mean, Melody
- 36:48wouldn't be renting a car, right?
- 36:50So I would imagine that her mom was with her.
- 36:53They're just releasing to us what they think we need to see.
- 37:00Anya Gavin, do you think the mom sold her to somebody?
- 37:06If so, I mean if so, that would be so so sad.
- 37:16I mean, you can bet with a search warrant that they got as
- 37:21much digital evidence evidence as they possibly could.
- 37:26So any communications that the mother would have had with her
- 37:30devices, computers, I hope that they got those.
- 37:33Of course, they haven't released any of the warrant applications
- 37:36or the PC as or anything like that.
- 37:41Travel nurse 63. Have they checked mom's bank
- 37:44account with a trip she took? Could have been to trafficker.
- 37:47Yeah, I think we're all thinking kind of the same thing, which is
- 37:50so, so sad. She seems Deb says thin in the
- 38:00video snaps. Yeah, keeping well.
- 38:04Yeah, here. I'm just going to go back and
- 38:08forth here real quick. Yeah, Remember, this is a 7 year
- 38:13old and this is a nine year old. But I agree.
- 38:22Yeah, she's thinner for sure, Anya said.
- 38:27I thought her bio dad died in a motorcycle accident.
- 38:30Is that the case? Let me see.
- 38:31Let me look that up. He did.
- 38:45He OK, Thank you. So let me let me go to this one.
- 38:50This was from today from People magazine.
- 38:55Let's let's go to this one real quick.
- 39:02OK, investigators, the wig, the Malibu.
- 39:11Yes. According to Sheriff's Office,
- 39:14extended absence, October 10th is when she returned home.
- 39:22Let's see. A California Department of
- 39:29Education spokesperson told ABC News that there's no record of
- 39:32Melody's mother filing a yearly private school affidavit, which
- 39:35is necessary for homeschooling. OK, Melody's extended family has
- 39:42expressed concerns about her well-being, claiming Ashley has
- 39:44a long history of mental illness and has cut off the family for
- 39:47years, per the LA Times quote. Ashley is mentally unstable and
- 39:51my mom tried to get custody or at least grandparent rights to
- 39:54visit Melody because Ashley wasn't letting our side of the
- 39:57family see her, Vicky Shade, Melody's aunt, told the outlet.
- 40:01Shade's brother, Ruby El Mesa, is Melody's father.
- 40:04He died in a motorcycle accident shortly after the child was
- 40:07born, Shade said. Yeah, OK.
- 40:12Thank you. Thank you for grabbing that
- 40:14little detail for us. Yep, you're right.
- 40:18A Lily says the same thing. Father died in mobile.
- 40:21You guys are on top of things. So awesome.
- 40:25Jane said the same thing. So did Patty.
- 40:34Yeah, Rob. Yeah.
- 40:35Farms and barns. I'm telling you, when you get
- 40:38out, when you get out in the Great Plains, man, it is just a
- 40:41vast, vast, empty, empty country.
- 40:45Angela says the same thing. Her dad passed from motorcycle
- 40:48accident, then mom isolated her from dad's family.
- 40:54Does actually have ties in the Native American community.
- 40:56There's a lot of native land along her route to Nebraska
- 41:00where she could have dropped her off.
- 41:02I'm unaware. I don't know.
- 41:05I don't know. Robinson asked.
- 41:10Was the father's family pushing for rights to have visitation
- 41:13with her daughter? Is this a control thing and she
- 41:15might be hiding her? Well, we just read that little
- 41:19bit. We also, I also saw an interview
- 41:22with the paternal grandmother who said she was asked by
- 41:26sheriff's deputies when the last time she saw Melody was.
- 41:28She said like a year and a half. So it's pretty seems like seems
- 41:40like they're a disconnected family.
- 41:42Oh, my goodness. Wait a minute.
- 41:44Wait a minute, guys. Wait, wait.
- 41:47Everybody wait. Are you guys ready for this next
- 41:49comment? Are you ready?
- 41:52Look who's joining us. The Royal Order of the Frank is
- 41:57joining us now. I happen to be a bona fide
- 42:00member of the Royal Order of the Franc, but I am not the Royal
- 42:05Order of the Franc. Let's see what Royal Order of
- 42:07the Franc says. I would want to know what the
- 42:11family rift was about. Perhaps someone was ready to
- 42:15report Ashley for something and she was just hiding Melody.
- 42:19That's possible. And that's, that is a great
- 42:21question. Royal Order of the Franc.
- 42:25Great question. Thank you for being here.
- 42:32Let's see. Well, even Mooney recognized
- 42:36it's been a long time since we saw my Co order member royal
- 42:42order of the franc. I, I, I want to be clear here.
- 42:45I am a member of the royal order of the franc.
- 42:48To my knowledge, in the order, there are two of us.
- 42:54But you know what? I don't get to be the person who
- 42:56invites others into the order. There may be others.
- 42:59I I may have been like order number 2000, but who knows?
- 43:07Yeah. One man's trash said.
- 43:10Grandma said Melody was six months when her dad died in a
- 43:12motorcycle accident. She showed a picture of him and
- 43:14Melody and the mother right before.
- 43:17So yeah, why not cooperate though?
- 43:21I mean, who does that, Tina? In my opinion, it is people with
- 43:26something to hide. So, for example, were I in Miss
- 43:30Ashley Buzzard's shoes, I would avail myself of an attorney
- 43:36100%. I would do that, and I hope you
- 43:39would too. But then with my attorney
- 43:41present, we would go in, we would talk to police and we
- 43:45would work to to find Melody, to find resolution to the case.
- 43:54But that's not what she's doing here.
- 43:56She's not. She is just zipping the lip.
- 44:03It's just. Yeah, Kel says.
- 44:08I must admit, the first time I saw the surveillance pic, I
- 44:11thought it could have been Ashley.
- 44:13But I think the Ant looks thinks it looks like Melody.
- 44:20Let's see here. We're going to look at Ashley.
- 44:30I think that's that's just a, it's just a little girl, I
- 44:36think. And Ashley Ashley's a little
- 44:41bigger. Look at the way her lips turn
- 44:47down into a frown. This one's the mouth is wider,
- 44:53right? She has a wider mouth than her
- 44:56mom. It's hard to tell.
- 44:58Of course. You see that turned down mouth?
- 45:03And this one is not I I think it's.
- 45:06I think it's Ashley. ML Loftus says.
- 45:10I like your hair down so much better.
- 45:12Oh, my goodness, guys. Well, thank you.
- 45:15Tomorrow I have an appointment at a actual hair salon.
- 45:20I now, as I've been growing it out, I've been having it cleaned
- 45:24up around the edges. But this is the very first time
- 45:27in my life that I've ever had long hair.
- 45:29So I am, I don't know what to do with it.
- 45:32So I'm going to hair salon tomorrow, hopefully to, like,
- 45:37trim up a little bit, make it look a little healthier.
- 45:43Yeah, I I don't like you. I don't like.
- 45:49I'm so looking forward to cutting this hair off.
- 45:51I am so looking forward to cutting it off.
- 45:56Yeah. Soon as Bliss says, Definitely a
- 45:59little melody. She is a little lady.
- 46:06No headband for Vinny tonight? No.
- 46:11Yeah, a little, a little tween. That's right.
- 46:15Yes, Lori thinks I, I need to have a scrunchie.
- 46:20I, I do have, I do have, I don't have any on me, but I, I, I'm
- 46:26known to wear one of these and then I put my hair in a ponytail
- 46:30to like go to the, to go to the gym.
- 46:35And Kel says, Yep, thanks for the comparison.
- 46:37It helped. I I think it's definitely
- 46:38Melody. OK, guys, so I'm running out of
- 46:41time because I've got to get prepared for my later show and
- 46:45we've been on for 45 minutes, which has been awesome.
