- 0:04SPEAKER_00: Hello everyone, welcome into Hey Hanna.
- 0:07SPEAKER_00: How's everyone's a week going?
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: One day, I swear, one day I will open up this podcast and like not feel incredibly awkward with how I start things.
- 0:15SPEAKER_00: When you're talking by yourself, what what do you say?
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: How do you how do I say this in a normal way?
- 0:20SPEAKER_00: I find myself listening to other podcasts and I'm like, how do they start a podcast?
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: Just because I'm by myself?
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: Do I sound crazy?
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: I mean I do.
- 0:28SPEAKER_00: I'm talking to myself, but you know.
- 0:30SPEAKER_00: What are you gonna do?
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: Anyways, glad to have you guys along for the ride, regardless of any weird, wonky way I decide to introduce myself in each and every episode.
- 0:40SPEAKER_00: Because I just can't get a feel for it.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: One day I'll have a script, you know?
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: It'll be like the perfect ones and twos of what I say every time.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: Until then, I'm just gonna awkwardly bub along.
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: Hey, hi, hello, who, uh.
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: All right, so coming in with this episode just a smidge late this week, I was under the weather.
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: Then Andy's been a little under the weather.
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: And I don't think she's had like a full-blown cold.
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: Um, but she's had like a bit of a runny nose, very sporadically.
- 1:12SPEAKER_00: For like 20 minutes, she'll have a little runny nose.
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: And you know, I'll like use my little nose sucker thing.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: I'm obsessed with that thing.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: I'll use that thing, get some saline, and then for the next like five to eight hours, she'll be good.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: Like no symptoms, nothing.
- 1:29SPEAKER_00: Happy baby.
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: And then suddenly she'll get a little fussy again out of nowhere, and I have to go in her nose.
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: So she has nothing else, like she's not sleeping bad.
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't really know what it is.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: I also think she could just be teething again.
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: But all that to say, I was I was a little sick from our travels.
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: And Peter, oh my God, where did I even begin?
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: Poor Peter.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: Peter has a herniated disc in his back.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: He has been going through it, let me tell you.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: People keep asking him, like, how'd you do it?
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: And you know, he's so in tune with his body.
- 2:03SPEAKER_00: And I I don't know how he did it.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: Like, I actually don't know.
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: I think the flight to Florida, I think he had something from just like bending over all the time, hanging on the floor with Andy, just like always being in weird positions with the baby.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: He's also always in his car, like he's always driving.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: And anyways, my point is I think the flight to Florida, like sitting stationary in those itty-bitty freaking plane seats, is what really sent him over the edge.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: So our household has been a little down bad.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: But things are still fine, you know.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: We have just been really laying low.
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: Like Labor Day weekend, we had a few plans and we saw none of them.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: Let's just say that.
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: We literally stayed home.
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: Peter was like stretching his body every second he could get, and I'm hanging with the baby, also trying to heal.
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: So it's been nice having downtime, but we have some travels coming up soon.
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: We have two trips coming up this month, and I just want to get better.
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: I just want to like get to a place where we feel good.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: Everyone, you know?
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: Labor Day Weekend, signifying the summer being officially over, is like fine with me, which is insane.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: You guys know I talk about how obsessed I am with summer.
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: I'm just ready for something new.
- 3:15SPEAKER_00: I did the whole episode on like rebranding yourself in the fall, and I firmly believe that.
- 3:19SPEAKER_00: Like I will double triple down on this that fall is the best time to sort of start over in any capacity that you're looking to do.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: So September is the new January.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: Let's go.
- 3:29SPEAKER_00: And I really feel that way.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: I'm like, I need to get my freaking spark back.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: Does anyone feel that way?
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: I don't know what I was doing the other day, but when I was nursing, I like went down into my TikTok, like scrolled all the way down.
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: I used to do this a silly TikTok show with uh the production company I was with called Embassy Row a while back.
- 3:47SPEAKER_00: And it was sort of an experiment.
- 3:49SPEAKER_00: We were trying to figure out if like a TikTok show by itself would work.
- 3:54SPEAKER_00: And they just let me like creatively fly with it.
- 3:57SPEAKER_00: Anyways, watching these TikToks I used to make, there was like pop culture tidbits, and they're super irrelevant now because it was all it was all occurring events in pop culture.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: The show was called The Morning Show at Night and it was exclusively on TikTok.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: But, anyways, I digress.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: I've never been like actively posting on TikTok other than that show.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: But I was scrolling through and I was watching myself do this little show every day.
- 4:21SPEAKER_00: And at that time in my life, I was also working in morning news.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: So I was getting up at like 3:30 and putting on a buttload of makeup, booging my way down to Flatiron, getting to the studio before 6 a.m., going live at 7 a.m.
- 4:40SPEAKER_00: Our show would go until 9 a.m.
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: And then I would leave work around 10.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: We'd have a meeting, I'd leave work around 10 a.m.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: And then I would go to my other job, this production company I was just talking about, which I loved.
- 4:53SPEAKER_00: Both jobs I love so much.
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: And then I would record this little silly pop culture show.
- 4:58SPEAKER_00: Anyways, just merely looking back at my TikTok and thinking of that era.
- 5:06SPEAKER_00: You know, when you see yourself from a few years back and you see your hair and how you did your makeup, and sometimes you're like, God, what was I doing?
- 5:12SPEAKER_00: Like, how did I do that?
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: Why can't I do that now?
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: I don't even know what I was doing to get my makeup to look like that every day anymore.
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: Like I can't remember.
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: Even if I went to go do it, I'm like, how did I do this again?
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: You know how you sort of like change how you style yourself every few months or a few years or something.
- 5:29SPEAKER_00: And then so much time passes, you look back and you're like, what was what was I doing?
- 5:35SPEAKER_00: Anyways, all of these, this is the longest tangent ever.
- 5:38SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
- 5:39SPEAKER_00: What I'm trying to say is looking at all of these videos and photos made me feel like, gosh, I gotta get a little bit of my spark back.
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: Like a little bit of that energy where I was like having so much fun with my work and having a silly goose time whenever I had the opportunity.
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: That's what I need back.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: Cause right now I'm so in this like survival mode still with a newborn, which is crazy.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: Because can you believe it?
- 6:05SPEAKER_00: She's gonna be six months.
- 6:06SPEAKER_00: She's gonna be six months this weekend.
- 6:10SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, she's almost one.
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: That means she's almost like a teenager, freaks me out, anyways.
- 6:17SPEAKER_00: So I'm hoping that fall will provide a little bit of inspiration to help me get a little bit of a spark back because I don't know.
- 6:26SPEAKER_00: I just feel like I'm missing something.
- 6:27SPEAKER_00: I've been missing something.
- 6:28SPEAKER_00: Summer, I feel like was hard.
- 6:30SPEAKER_00: Like Peter and I were just talking about this, these trips we have coming up.
- 6:34SPEAKER_00: I'm like, we need to actually relax and enjoy ourselves and like go back to our authentic ways because we've just been in like a struggle bus.
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: And I think it's because, you know, when your whole house gets hit by something, like a sickness, an illness, whatever, you just feel like you're you're in it.
- 6:52SPEAKER_00: And when you get out, you're like, oh, it feels good to be out again.
- 6:55SPEAKER_00: I feel like because of Peter's physical ailments, we're not out of this hole yet.
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: And I'm, I don't know.
- 7:01SPEAKER_00: I'm just I'm looking forward to getting our spark back this fall.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: That's all I'm saying.
- 7:06SPEAKER_00: In the most roundabout way ever, that's all I'm saying.
- 7:10SPEAKER_00: And if you are with me on this, if you're like, yeah, this summer just wasn't summering, please let me know.
- 7:15SPEAKER_00: Am I totally alone in this?
- 7:17SPEAKER_00: I'm just ready for the next thing.
- 7:19SPEAKER_00: I'm like, okay, over and done.
- 7:22SPEAKER_00: I feel like I'm dusting the dirt off of my shoulders and my knees, and I'm like getting up from being in a bit of a hole.
- 7:28SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, okay, all right, onward and upward.
- 7:32SPEAKER_00: Things are only gonna get better this year.
- 7:34SPEAKER_00: And I'm still so grateful and so blessed for my life right now.
- 7:37SPEAKER_00: It has nothing to do with any of that.
- 7:38SPEAKER_00: It's just a mental thing.
- 7:39SPEAKER_00: Like, I just mentally need to feel like everything is a little bit lighter.
- 7:43SPEAKER_00: Anyways, okay, holy tangent.
- 7:44SPEAKER_00: I wanted to do a quick QA episode.
- 7:47SPEAKER_00: I haven't done one of these in a while.
- 7:48SPEAKER_00: I like to do them every month.
- 7:49SPEAKER_00: I feel like we're sort of in that routine.
- 7:52SPEAKER_00: And I think it's fun to touch base, see what everyone's up to, and just have a good old-fashioned yap session.
- 7:57SPEAKER_00: But before I get into some of the questions I got, let's talk about what we're watching on TV.
- 8:02SPEAKER_00: Since my whole house has been hanging out on the couch pretty often, we've definitely been catching up on our fair share of television.
- 8:10SPEAKER_00: So I have a few things to discuss.
- 8:11SPEAKER_00: Number one, Sterling Point.
- 8:14SPEAKER_00: I totally understand why everyone was watching this show now.
- 8:17SPEAKER_00: It's so sweet.
- 8:18SPEAKER_00: I feel like it gave me everything I wanted in a summer show.
- 8:21SPEAKER_00: Like it was that beautiful setting.
- 8:23SPEAKER_00: By the way, the richness of these people.
- 8:26SPEAKER_00: And I know that was part of the plot.
- 8:28SPEAKER_00: It was cute how the show opened.
- 8:30SPEAKER_00: It was really fun to look at the gorgeous backgrounds, like everything in the background.
- 8:34SPEAKER_00: I was like, oh, it's just fun to look at the settings of everything.
- 8:37SPEAKER_00: And I love that part of it was in the city.
- 8:39SPEAKER_00: And then we also got these just like beautiful lake settings.
- 8:45SPEAKER_00: There was a little family drama, a little romance.
- 8:48SPEAKER_00: Also the soundtrack.
- 8:49SPEAKER_00: That's something that I feel like Amazon does so well.
- 8:52SPEAKER_00: It reminds me of The Summer I Turned Pretty.
- 8:54SPEAKER_00: Just like a really fun new soundtrack where I'm like, oh, what's this song?
- 8:58SPEAKER_00: What's this song?
- 8:59SPEAKER_00: I like constantly find myself paying attention to the transitional music.
- 9:03SPEAKER_00: Yeah, just a good old-fashioned classic teen drama.
- 9:06SPEAKER_00: I really understand why everyone liked it.
- 9:08SPEAKER_00: It felt fresh.
- 9:09SPEAKER_00: I did feel predictable, but I wasn't really invested enough to like care.
- 9:14SPEAKER_00: It was just like whatever.
- 9:15SPEAKER_00: It felt nostalgic and fun, and it was easy to binge and like just dramatic enough.
- 9:20SPEAKER_00: And those are all the positives, right?
- 9:21SPEAKER_00: Like it was fun to watch.
- 9:23SPEAKER_00: I also love the main actress.
- 9:25SPEAKER_00: Her hair was so 90s Julia Roberts.
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: I know everybody said that, but she looked like a perfect combination of Anne Hathaway and Julia Roberts.
- 9:33SPEAKER_00: And funny enough, Peter and I put the show on just because I was like, I need to know what the kids are watching, Peter.
- 9:37SPEAKER_00: Like, let me put this on.
- 9:38SPEAKER_00: So it's so annoying of me to say that, but I put on the first episode and we both were immediately like giggling a little bit.
- 9:46SPEAKER_00: We loved the character of her brother, Mark Ruffalo's son.
- 9:49SPEAKER_00: We thought he was really fun.
- 9:50SPEAKER_00: I loved when he made his way to the lake.
- 9:52SPEAKER_00: There are certain parts of it where I just like didn't care.
- 9:55SPEAKER_00: Okay, so I guess let me get into the stuff that I didn't love so much.
- 9:59SPEAKER_00: I did not care that much about the romance, which is crazy.
- 10:02SPEAKER_00: I don't know what I just was like more invested in her family.
- 10:04SPEAKER_00: Also, this is bad, but maybe I'm just older now.
- 10:08SPEAKER_00: But the the men on these teen dramas, or like the boys, the guys, I don't know what to call them, they literally look like 12-year-olds to me.
- 10:17SPEAKER_00: So I have a really hard time enjoying it because I'm like, oh my god, where are their parents?
- 10:22SPEAKER_00: Like they're making out in this insane sauna cold plunge situation.
- 10:27SPEAKER_00: Do you guys remember that scene?
- 10:29SPEAKER_00: They were in this giant wooden sauna, and then they just like walked over to the little cold plunge that looked like a lake accessory.
- 10:37SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 10:39SPEAKER_00: When they start making out in there, I was like, oh my god, I didn't even want to watch.
- 10:42SPEAKER_00: It was like made me uncomfortable.
- 10:44SPEAKER_00: I think I'm just old, and maybe everything was that way.
- 10:48SPEAKER_00: But I don't know.
- 10:49SPEAKER_00: From someone who grew up watching VOC, I didn't think Adam Brody looked like a 15-year-old.
- 10:57SPEAKER_00: I need an outsider's perspective.
- 10:59SPEAKER_00: Am I right or am I wrong here?
- 11:02SPEAKER_00: But yeah, the cast seemed super young and it was hard to find any of it sort of believable, but I did love it.
- 11:09SPEAKER_00: I didn't even finish it.
- 11:10SPEAKER_00: I'm like two episodes away from the end, but one of those shows I fully understood why everyone liked it.
- 11:16SPEAKER_00: Okay, the other show I have to talk about that I started is Earl Meets World.
- 11:20SPEAKER_00: I started the show and like very quickly became engrossed in it.
- 11:25SPEAKER_00: I don't know much about Alex Earl, and like the rest of the world, I obviously know who she is, and I like her.
- 11:30SPEAKER_00: I watched her on Dancing with the Stars, and I I like her.
- 11:32SPEAKER_00: She has a sort of friendly, down-to-earth vibe about her.
- 11:39SPEAKER_00: But I have some notes on the show, and I have not listened to one peep about what people have talked about on the show.
- 11:45SPEAKER_00: So I'm curious if I'm aligned with anyone or if I'm totally off here.
- 11:48SPEAKER_00: But I really liked it.
- 11:50SPEAKER_00: And let me say that I've only watched about four or five episodes now.
- 11:54SPEAKER_00: But I really liked it.
- 11:55SPEAKER_00: I was really interested in the influencer side of Alex's life because I don't know much about that.
- 12:01SPEAKER_00: I had no idea that her dad was her manager.
- 12:04SPEAKER_00: I didn't know the whole scandal of her stepmom.
- 12:07SPEAKER_00: I was really interested in the family dynamic and how all of the parents got together and were cool with each other after divorce.
- 12:15SPEAKER_00: That to me was so cool.
- 12:16SPEAKER_00: By the way, my parents are divorced and they all the time are hanging out in the same room, like nobody cares.
- 12:21SPEAKER_00: And it's the best thing ever.
- 12:23SPEAKER_00: So it was cool to see that on TV.
- 12:24SPEAKER_00: But I don't know if I've ever seen that illustrated in such a casual, normal way on TV, especially reality TV, the divorced parents all being together type thing.
- 12:36SPEAKER_00: Oh, and especially because the woman the dad married is the woman he cheated on the mom with.
- 12:40SPEAKER_00: Like, that's crazy that they're all in the same room and hanging out and like going on double dates and everything.
- 12:45SPEAKER_00: I was like, good for them.
- 12:46SPEAKER_00: And by the way, I meant crazy in a good way.
- 12:48SPEAKER_00: This was like a very fun, mindless reality TV binge.
- 12:52SPEAKER_00: And I love to see the outfits and again that influencer content type stuff, like how she takes photos and why, you know, you see her like fully decked out to the nines to like babysit the kids.
- 13:04SPEAKER_00: And it's like, what are you doing?
- 13:05SPEAKER_00: Why are you in such a cute outfit?
- 13:06SPEAKER_00: She's like, Oh, I wanted to take a cute picture.
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: I'm like, oh, so they do do that.
- 13:10SPEAKER_00: Like, I always wonder.
- 13:13SPEAKER_00: But my issue with this show is that, and I compare everything to the Kardashians.
- 13:19SPEAKER_00: Again, I'm like showing my age.
- 13:21SPEAKER_00: They are the mecca of what everyone is trying to emulate always in terms of family dynamics in reality TV.
- 13:28SPEAKER_00: But I weirdly found the Kardashians to be funnier in their banter around the house.
- 13:32SPEAKER_00: Now hear me out.
- 13:32SPEAKER_00: And you might be like, what, Hannah?
- 13:33SPEAKER_00: They're not funny at all.
- 13:35SPEAKER_00: But when it was Alex Earle, her best friend who she had to fire, and her sister, Ashton, and then like one other person, maybe.
- 13:46SPEAKER_00: Like when it was just like those core people all sitting together, I was so disinterested.
- 13:52SPEAKER_00: And I think they were trying to make something with those dynamics.
- 13:56SPEAKER_00: But I don't know, I just didn't click with them.
- 13:59SPEAKER_00: There's a lot of giggling, and then nothing funny was being said, but just like constant giggling.
- 14:03SPEAKER_00: Like I was like, what are we giggling about?
- 14:05SPEAKER_00: Like I can't, I couldn't even follow some of the stuff they were talking about because they were so giggly.
- 14:10SPEAKER_00: I get the same way with my best friends.
- 14:12SPEAKER_00: But I thought Alex was really funny on her own, and I wanted like a little bit more of that.
- 14:17SPEAKER_00: Nevertheless, I will be watching the entire show.
- 14:19SPEAKER_00: I couldn't believe the subtle Tom Brady rumor confirmations.
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: I was also really interested in her dynamic with Braxton Berrios.
- 14:29SPEAKER_00: But yeah, it was a good show.
- 14:31SPEAKER_00: It's a fun show, and it's cool to see someone who's so mega in the influencer stage on a show now because it's a peek into that world.
- 14:40SPEAKER_00: And I really don't know what that world looks like on a scale as large as hers.
- 14:45SPEAKER_00: Okay, wow.
- 14:46SPEAKER_00: How long have I been talking about TV?
- 14:47SPEAKER_00: Anyways, if you guys want a show, I definitely suggest that Earl Mates World.
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: It's a fun show to watch, and I was sort of sucked in.
- 14:53SPEAKER_00: Peter watched it with me as well.
- 14:55SPEAKER_00: And I did an episode all about TV to watch.
- 14:58SPEAKER_00: But this week we get the new season of Real Housewives of New York, and I'm so excited.
- 15:03SPEAKER_00: So excited.
- 15:04SPEAKER_00: I will be watching it.
- 15:05SPEAKER_00: I know some people are like boycotting it because they didn't like the new New York, whatever.
- 15:09SPEAKER_00: No, I'll be watching.
- 15:10SPEAKER_00: So next week I'll have a bit of a recap on those first few episodes.
- 15:14SPEAKER_00: Well, I guess we're only gonna get one, but anyways, I'll have a recap on that one episode.
- 15:19SPEAKER_00: Okay, wow.
- 15:19SPEAKER_00: So I've been talking so freaking long.
- 15:21SPEAKER_00: Let's go ahead and get into some of the QA's we got.
- 15:23SPEAKER_00: Okay, I got a few of these questions, so I'm gonna answer this first.
- 15:26SPEAKER_00: Do you plan to have more kids and when?
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: Such a funny question.
- 15:31SPEAKER_00: Are you guys like my aunts and uncles?
- 15:32SPEAKER_00: Because that's all they ask me.
- 15:35SPEAKER_00: Um, Peter and I have talked about having more.
- 15:39SPEAKER_00: We both have always wanted more than one child.
- 15:43SPEAKER_00: But I would be lying if I didn't say that everything has been smooth sailing in the first six months of having a child.
- 15:54SPEAKER_00: We're finally getting into a rhythm where I feel like we can even create a bit of a routine with her because we've been so up and down, up and down all the time and trying to catch up with ourselves and just feeling behind for so long now.
- 16:07SPEAKER_00: So I feel like I'm finally in a healthy place where I can even entertain that question.
- 16:14SPEAKER_00: Because for a while I was like, oh no, I think I can be one and done.
- 16:17SPEAKER_00: You know, everything was so hard in those first three months for me, four months actually.
- 16:22SPEAKER_00: And I still feel like I'm slowly coming out of the woods.
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: Um, that I could not even think about it.
- 16:27SPEAKER_00: Like I was like, no, I'm gonna have one child and we're done.
- 16:31SPEAKER_00: Obviously, knowing in the back of my mind that I would have more.
- 16:34SPEAKER_00: But the question of when was like, not anytime soon.
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: But because I've given this an honest thought, my answer is just gonna be I know when I'm gonna be ready.
- 16:43SPEAKER_00: And if I'm not ready, God will show me that I'm ready.
- 16:48SPEAKER_00: It will happen.
- 16:49SPEAKER_00: That's what happened with Andy.
- 16:50SPEAKER_00: We did not plan for Andy, and it was the most perfect timing in our lives.
- 16:54SPEAKER_00: So I just know that it's gonna happen in good timing.
- 16:58SPEAKER_00: Now, to be specific and answer your question, though, I do like having kids close in age.
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: My brothers and I are all really close in age.
- 17:04SPEAKER_00: I'm only 13 months younger than my older brother.
- 17:07SPEAKER_00: We're just a year apart.
- 17:09SPEAKER_00: So I've always wanted that same thing.
- 17:12SPEAKER_00: But then I think about it and I'm like, my mom was already like three months pregnant with me at this point.
- 17:18SPEAKER_00: That's insane.
- 17:20SPEAKER_00: Like, no thanks.
- 17:21SPEAKER_00: Nope.
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: My younger brother is two years younger than me.
- 17:25SPEAKER_00: So again, we're all close in age and I want that same thing.
- 17:28SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna allow myself to really start thinking about it come January.
- 17:33SPEAKER_00: That's when I'll take another look, zoom out, and be like, okay, how are we feeling?
- 17:36SPEAKER_00: Do we want to do this again?
- 17:37SPEAKER_00: Can we do this again?
- 17:38SPEAKER_00: Where are we at?
- 17:39SPEAKER_00: Peter and I are also still in the process of moving.
- 17:41SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh, we've been trying to buy a house.
- 17:44SPEAKER_00: We've been taking our time because we have just been getting all of our ducks in a row from marriage and baby.
- 17:50SPEAKER_00: And so it's like, where are we gonna be in January?
- 17:52SPEAKER_00: I don't know right now.
- 17:53SPEAKER_00: So it's hard for me to be like, yeah, let's have another baby right now.
- 17:57SPEAKER_00: I'm just not ready.
- 17:58SPEAKER_00: And selfishly, my body is not ready yet.
- 18:01SPEAKER_00: I need a minute to feel like myself again for a decent chunk of time.
- 18:06SPEAKER_00: And then I'll be like, okay, let's get the machine working again, you know?
- 18:10SPEAKER_00: I also am insane, but I've also always had a dream that I have twins.
- 18:14SPEAKER_00: And I'm so fearful of that being true because that sounds really hard.
- 18:18SPEAKER_00: Like, really, really, really hard.
- 18:19SPEAKER_00: Hard on my body, hard.
- 18:21SPEAKER_00: If I thought the first four months were hard with Andy, then I can't imagine it is how it is with two, like all of that.
- 18:26SPEAKER_00: So I could be totally wrong.
- 18:28SPEAKER_00: Again, this is just my subconscious saying this to me.
- 18:31SPEAKER_00: So I'm like, who freaking knows?
- 18:32SPEAKER_00: But I think that's probably why I am even more like, no, no, no, not yet, not yet, not yet.
- 18:37SPEAKER_00: Because if there's a small ounce of that being true, I'm like, oh my God.
- 18:41SPEAKER_00: How many kids do I want is also hard to answer because I just think you know when you're done.
- 18:46SPEAKER_00: I know I'm not done.
- 18:47SPEAKER_00: So I know we'll have more.
- 18:49SPEAKER_00: God, I am so freaking jatty today.
- 18:51SPEAKER_00: Okay, I'm gonna move faster on this one.
- 18:53SPEAKER_00: Another question Did you watch House of Stasi?
- 18:55SPEAKER_00: What are your thoughts?
- 18:56SPEAKER_00: I started House of Stasi and I love Stassi Schroeder.
- 18:59SPEAKER_00: I listen to her podcast with Taylor Stryker all the time.
- 19:02SPEAKER_00: I think they're so great.
- 19:03SPEAKER_00: I love Taylor Stryker.
- 19:05SPEAKER_00: I met her a few times at auditions, and she was just always the sweetest person ever.
- 19:10SPEAKER_00: I'm happy she's in the spotlight right now because she really deserves it.
- 19:14SPEAKER_00: But that being said, I wasn't into the vibes of it.
- 19:17SPEAKER_00: I know everyone likes to paint Stasi as this mean girl, and there was this energy between her and her husband that I didn't feel like I wanted to dive into.
- 19:25SPEAKER_00: I just didn't want to see anybody struggling in marriage right now.
- 19:28SPEAKER_00: Like it just doesn't sound fun to watch.
- 19:31SPEAKER_00: Similarly, a lot of people told me to watch The Valley because there's a lot of heavy postpartum talk and a lot of parents navigating having a new baby and having arguments.
- 19:40SPEAKER_00: And I just was like, I don't want to watch that.
- 19:42SPEAKER_00: I truly don't want to watch any heaviness.
- 19:46SPEAKER_00: And that first episode just seemed a little bit like to me.
- 19:50SPEAKER_00: But I don't know.
- 19:51SPEAKER_00: I might have just been in a weird mood.
- 19:52SPEAKER_00: Hopefully, I'll go back and try it again.
- 19:54SPEAKER_00: I think I was just a little put off by her and her husband's dynamic because I really like them and I don't want to not like them, you know?
- 20:02SPEAKER_00: And I've heard people say that they don't like them after watching it, like they think their marriage isn't gonna work or something.
- 20:08SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, oh, that makes me so sad.
- 20:10SPEAKER_00: Like I like them and I don't want to be painted in a different light.
- 20:13SPEAKER_00: So I'm thinking I'm just gonna keep my vision of them how it is in my brain now after just listening to her podcast.
- 20:19SPEAKER_00: But we'll see.
- 20:20SPEAKER_00: Who knows?
- 20:22SPEAKER_00: Uh, another question.
- 20:23SPEAKER_00: How do you maintain a healthy, loving relationship in this stage of life?
- 20:26SPEAKER_00: How do you resolve conflicts?
- 20:29SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
- 20:30SPEAKER_00: Hmm.
- 20:31SPEAKER_00: Well, um, honesty, honesty, honesty.
- 20:34SPEAKER_00: Sometimes it feels like you're having the exact same conversation 14 times, but it's because you're in the weeds of this feeling and you sort of have to vocalize your own navigation of the feeling in your relationship.
- 20:49SPEAKER_00: That part is hard, right?
- 20:51SPEAKER_00: But you just have to be honest.
- 20:53SPEAKER_00: Like you just have to talk it out.
- 20:54SPEAKER_00: I mean, that's what works for us.
- 20:57SPEAKER_00: And there's a lot of times where I am talking in circles about my feelings, and Peter's like, okay, okay.
- 21:02SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, what, you don't have anything to say?
- 21:03SPEAKER_00: And he's like, Oh, we've talked about this like seven times this week.
- 21:06SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, okay, you're right.
- 21:08SPEAKER_00: I'm like laughing it off a little bit.
- 21:11SPEAKER_00: But I think giving each other grace to talk things out incessively, but being honest.
- 21:16SPEAKER_00: Like we'll be honest when we need to go nonverbal for a minute, or we'll be honest when it's like, hey, you said that thing to me at 4 a.m.
- 21:22SPEAKER_00: last night.
- 21:23SPEAKER_00: And we have a rule that what we talk about, what we say in the middle of the night when we're dealing with Andy doesn't count.
- 21:30SPEAKER_00: But yeah, it's so important to just be totally honest in every single thought you have, even if it feels redundant and stupid and nuanced.
- 21:39SPEAKER_00: But also, I think another important factor for us at least has been vocalizing how appreciative we are of each other.
- 21:46SPEAKER_00: And we both acknowledge that we need to do that early in our marriage and early in the birth of our child.
- 21:54SPEAKER_00: Just like, oh, when you did this one thing for me, I think I told him this the other day.
- 21:59SPEAKER_00: I was.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: Nursing Andy.
- 22:01SPEAKER_00: I was contact napping Andy actually.
- 22:03SPEAKER_00: And I was sort of stuck.
- 22:04SPEAKER_00: And I do this contact nap the same time every day.
- 22:07SPEAKER_00: But sometimes I'm just like somewhere in the house and I'm like stuck there because she's sleeping and I can't move.
- 22:11SPEAKER_00: Um, but he found me and he brought me a delicious snack and refilled my water and all of that.
- 22:16SPEAKER_00: And I didn't ask.
- 22:16SPEAKER_00: And I said to him later, I was like, by the way, that was one of my favorite parts of the day.
- 22:21SPEAKER_00: You brought me a snack.
- 22:23SPEAKER_00: I so appreciate that.
- 22:24SPEAKER_00: And that was a, it's not like a big discussion, but I think telling each other when you appreciate this little thing that they did goes so far.
- 22:32SPEAKER_00: At least it works for us.
- 22:33SPEAKER_00: But it's hard for me to answer this question: maintaining a healthy, loving relationship in this stage of life because Peter and I are newlyweds.
- 22:39SPEAKER_00: We're still newlyweds.
- 22:39SPEAKER_00: So we're still navigating what this looks like for us.
- 22:44SPEAKER_00: We've dealt with so many changes.
- 22:46SPEAKER_00: I have, you know, moving to the Midwest, getting married, having a baby, all in this relationship with Peter.
- 22:52SPEAKER_00: We have not been together that long.
- 22:55SPEAKER_00: So maintaining a healthy, loving relationship for us looks sort of the same way it has since we started dating.
- 23:01SPEAKER_00: It's just talking everything out in circles.
- 23:03SPEAKER_00: And even if it's like, I felt this and I felt that.
- 23:06SPEAKER_00: Okay, good.
- 23:07SPEAKER_00: Thank you for telling me.
- 23:08SPEAKER_00: Okay, I understand that you felt that way.
- 23:10SPEAKER_00: When you said that, I heard this, but I get what you mean now.
- 23:13SPEAKER_00: Like stuff like that.
- 23:14SPEAKER_00: My cousin Alyssa, who's like my sister, has been married way longer than I have.
- 23:19SPEAKER_00: And she has a beautiful relationship with her husband.
- 23:22SPEAKER_00: And she told me from the beginning, you have to be honest.
- 23:25SPEAKER_00: Like you just have to say it, no matter what.
- 23:28SPEAKER_00: And she's right.
- 23:29SPEAKER_00: That has been one of the biggest lessons in marriage so far for me.
- 23:31SPEAKER_00: It's like even if you feel like this is so annoying to say, and you don't even feel the same way you felt about it when you wanted to say it.
- 23:38SPEAKER_00: And it's been hours or days, and you're just like, no, let me just say this about how I feel and whatever.
- 23:43SPEAKER_00: It feels better.
- 23:44SPEAKER_00: It immediately disappears after you say it.
- 23:47SPEAKER_00: And that's what works for us.
- 23:50SPEAKER_00: Um, okay, another question.
- 23:53SPEAKER_00: Some of these are so silly.
- 23:55SPEAKER_00: I love the mood everyone was in.
- 23:57SPEAKER_00: How old was your baby when you first traveled with her?
- 23:59SPEAKER_00: And do you have any tips?
- 24:00SPEAKER_00: Okay, so Andy was five months when we had our first trip.
- 24:04SPEAKER_00: And my only tip is that you don't need anything.
- 24:08SPEAKER_00: Like, people will tell you you need a list of shit to travel with your baby, and I'm here to tell you you don't.
- 24:13SPEAKER_00: We didn't have any crazy toys.
- 24:15SPEAKER_00: We had like one to three toys that we brought out.
- 24:19SPEAKER_00: But there was only one in our hand at all time.
- 24:21SPEAKER_00: Like, you just don't need stuff.
- 24:24SPEAKER_00: We didn't have a stroller with us.
- 24:26SPEAKER_00: I only had the carrier.
- 24:28SPEAKER_00: Um, and it was perfect.
- 24:29SPEAKER_00: But outside of not needing stuff, my biggest piece of advice is to make sure the baby's nursing during takeoff and landing.
- 24:37SPEAKER_00: I didn't know that was a thing until I started doing a little bit of research before our flight.
- 24:41SPEAKER_00: So obviously make sure that that's happening.
- 24:43SPEAKER_00: Make sure your baby is drinking.
- 24:46SPEAKER_00: Cause the suction, the swallowing is what helps the suction of their ears.
- 24:51SPEAKER_00: But there was one moment when we were landing, and this was the flight back to Wisconsin, that Andy would not latch.
- 24:58SPEAKER_00: She just like wasn't in the mood to eat anymore.
- 25:00SPEAKER_00: And um, she wouldn't latch and her ear started, I could tell her ears started hurting her and she was in so much pain and she was screaming.
- 25:09SPEAKER_00: And we're descending, and I'm like, oh my God, at least we'll be there soon.
- 25:12SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm so sorry to everyone around me.
- 25:14SPEAKER_00: I just took the hit.
- 25:15SPEAKER_00: But then luckily it lasted probably five minutes of her just on and off screaming and being in pain.
- 25:20SPEAKER_00: And um, and then she latched again and it went away.
- 25:23SPEAKER_00: So, worst case, like even if they won't drink the bottle or nurse in that moment, once they do it, it'll go away.
- 25:32SPEAKER_00: It's not like you're fighting for it if it's not perfect.
- 25:35SPEAKER_00: My other piece of advice is to just disassociate.
- 25:38SPEAKER_00: You sort of have to be uncomfortable and disassociate for a little bit.
- 25:41SPEAKER_00: Like I was sitting middle seat, I'm holding my child, my boobs out.
- 25:44SPEAKER_00: I'm just like, ugh, whatever.
- 25:46SPEAKER_00: I'm like uncomfortable and I can't really move my legs.
- 25:50SPEAKER_00: But just like, just sit there in a cozy disassociation.
- 25:55SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 25:56SPEAKER_00: And just accept that you're gonna do that.
- 25:59SPEAKER_00: Um, okay, another question.
- 26:01SPEAKER_00: Would you ever do reality TV?
- 26:03SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, that's such a funny question.
- 26:05SPEAKER_00: Peter and I talk about this sometimes.
- 26:06SPEAKER_00: Funny enough, when we were watching the Alex Earl show, we both asked each other this question and we had different answers.
- 26:14SPEAKER_00: He was like, hell no.
- 26:16SPEAKER_00: Which is funny, you guys.
- 26:19SPEAKER_00: Really funny.
- 26:21SPEAKER_00: Because he's done it.
- 26:24SPEAKER_00: On a very large stage.
- 26:26SPEAKER_00: But, anyways, I think I would probably only do one season of something.
- 26:29SPEAKER_00: I would do something if it was sort of mini-series or something.
- 26:32SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 26:33SPEAKER_00: But at the same time, like my other brain is like, no, no way.
- 26:36SPEAKER_00: That would be really bad.
- 26:36SPEAKER_00: I don't think I could ever do it.
- 26:38SPEAKER_00: I don't think it's fair to put kids on camera, you know?
- 26:42SPEAKER_00: I actually admire Jesse James Decker for saying that.
- 26:45SPEAKER_00: She said that the reason why her and Eric Decker started stopped doing their reality TV show on E was because she it ended with her giving birth to her first daughter.
- 26:56SPEAKER_00: And she was like, no, I just felt wrong like having her life in there all the time.
- 27:01SPEAKER_00: But then there's the other half of me that looks at Juliana Randzik and Bill Randzik.
- 27:05SPEAKER_00: Do you guys remember their reality TV show?
- 27:08SPEAKER_00: I think it was on oxygen.
- 27:09SPEAKER_00: I don't remember, but I watched it, because of course I did.
- 27:12SPEAKER_00: And I remember them talking about how the show actually helped their marriage because they would look at how they reacted and they would talk about it in detail, like, oh, I didn't realize that I did that thing when I came home from work and I should probably not do that anymore.
- 27:24SPEAKER_00: Like they noticed things about their relationship and their day-to-day that actually helped their marriage in the long run.
- 27:30SPEAKER_00: But I think they are the minority.
- 27:34SPEAKER_00: I think most people suffer after watching themselves on reality TV and their marriages suffer and their families suffer.
- 27:41SPEAKER_00: So for that reason, I would be out.
- 27:43SPEAKER_00: Or maybe if it was a reality TV show that wasn't based on our specific home and family life, like if it was focused on something else and my family was the subplot, sure.
- 27:56SPEAKER_00: Well, I'm really getting specific with that one.
- 27:59SPEAKER_00: Um, another one.
- 28:01SPEAKER_00: Did your baby have gas and acid refluxes the first eight weeks?
- 28:04SPEAKER_00: If so, any suggestions?
- 28:06SPEAKER_00: Ooh, um, yes, she did.
- 28:08SPEAKER_00: We had major gas issues.
- 28:10SPEAKER_00: And I'm gonna tell you, this is not unusual.
- 28:14SPEAKER_00: You're so normal for having gas issues in the first eight weeks.
- 28:18SPEAKER_00: Those first eight weeks are wonky, let me tell you.
- 28:21SPEAKER_00: You're just like surviving.
- 28:23SPEAKER_00: And you'll go crazy if you start eliminating foods and counting all of the foods that you ate or didn't eat, because I've done this.
- 28:30SPEAKER_00: I went through a process of elimination for myself, my own diet, and it ended up working.
- 28:35SPEAKER_00: We found that she had some sort of intolerance to dairy, and she still has it.
- 28:39SPEAKER_00: When I stopped eating dairy, I noticed a significant decrease in her gas and acid reflux and all of that.
- 28:45SPEAKER_00: So that's what worked for us.
- 28:46SPEAKER_00: And it was like night and day.
- 28:48SPEAKER_00: Literally within eight hours, I stopped eating cheese and milk and all that.
- 28:54SPEAKER_00: And she stopped being super fussy and super gassy.
- 28:59SPEAKER_00: She also had really bad um acne on her face, baby acne, that went away like in a snap after I stopped eating dairy.
- 29:07SPEAKER_00: And it's funny, it still happens.
- 29:09SPEAKER_00: Like now, if I, you know, let's say I eat something on the go or whatever, if she suddenly has a pimple or something, I'm like, uh oh, I must have had some dairy and I didn't know.
- 29:15SPEAKER_00: Like it still is a thing that we're dealing with.
- 29:18SPEAKER_00: But with that being said, there's some times where I know I haven't had any dairy and she will have some gas or acid reflux or a pimple or something.
- 29:25SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, I didn't have anything, I swear.
- 29:28SPEAKER_00: So that's why I'm saying, like, don't drive yourself crazy trying to figure it out because sometimes babies are just babies and everything in their gut is so itty bitty and it's just really hard for them to digest anything.
- 29:38SPEAKER_00: So give yourself some grace.
- 29:40SPEAKER_00: But that's how we handled it.
- 29:41SPEAKER_00: I don't know if you're nursing or using formula or something, but just try switching it up, switch up your diet, switch up the formula, see if that helps.
- 29:48SPEAKER_00: I actually noticed there for me, the dairy was really easy to figure out.
- 29:53SPEAKER_00: Like once I eliminated it, it was a no-grainer.
- 29:56SPEAKER_00: So maybe try something like that because it really does affect them quickly, if that is the case.
- 30:03SPEAKER_00: Who is the stricter parent so far?
- 30:05SPEAKER_00: You or Peter?
- 30:06SPEAKER_00: It's a funny question because I don't think we can be strict yet.
- 30:09SPEAKER_00: She doesn't even understand English, you know.
- 30:12SPEAKER_00: I will say, I feel like I'm her lifeline, you know?
- 30:17SPEAKER_00: Like I feed her, I put her to bed, I'm with her all day.
- 30:22SPEAKER_00: She's like my little sidekick.
- 30:23SPEAKER_00: Like her and I are the same body, you know?
- 30:26SPEAKER_00: I'm her lifeline.
- 30:27SPEAKER_00: But I think Peter is like her love.
- 30:29SPEAKER_00: Like when Peter walks into the room, she is obsessed.
- 30:34SPEAKER_00: Obsessed.
- 30:35SPEAKER_00: It always makes me giggle.
- 30:36SPEAKER_00: I sit there and I'm just like, oh, okay, I'm old chop liver over here.
- 30:40SPEAKER_00: But to answer your question, I don't know how that'll make one of us more strict or not.
- 30:45SPEAKER_00: I think we'll both be a little strict in different ways.
- 30:47SPEAKER_00: Like I feel like Peter will be laying the hammer down and he'll be the one to discipline.
- 30:52SPEAKER_00: But I don't know.
- 30:53SPEAKER_00: I could see myself doing that too.
- 30:55SPEAKER_00: I have no idea.
- 30:56SPEAKER_00: That's such a hard question.
- 30:58SPEAKER_00: Ask me again this in like two years.
- 31:02SPEAKER_00: Maybe even a year, you know?
- 31:03SPEAKER_00: Maybe I'll know then.
- 31:07SPEAKER_00: Okay, another one.
- 31:08SPEAKER_00: What's one friendship red flag that you'll never want to ignore again?
- 31:13SPEAKER_00: Ooh, what's one friendship red flag you'll never want to ignore again?
- 31:16SPEAKER_00: Um friendship red flag.
- 31:21SPEAKER_00: Um, oh, this one's easy, actually.
- 31:23SPEAKER_00: I would just say someone who gets mad at you, period.
- 31:27SPEAKER_00: If you have a friend who gets upset with you and like has to tell you a few times that she's upset, I think that's a red flag.
- 31:35SPEAKER_00: My friends and I, my best friends and I are never mad at each other, like ever.
- 31:39SPEAKER_00: There's maybe like one or two times where we have called each other and just been like, hey, I was kind of hurt with that, but I love you and let's move on and whatever.
- 31:48SPEAKER_00: That's fine.
- 31:49SPEAKER_00: That's normal.
- 31:50SPEAKER_00: These are my friends for like 20 years, you know?
- 31:52SPEAKER_00: Some of my friends, even 10 years, we just don't get mad at each other like that.
- 31:56SPEAKER_00: But I've had friends where there's just like repeated hard times, repeated conversations where someone's getting upset with me.
- 32:03SPEAKER_00: I just with a guilty conscience already, like I cannot deal with that in a friendship.
- 32:08SPEAKER_00: Um, so for me, I would say that that's a friendship red flag.
- 32:11SPEAKER_00: If you are constantly having to think like, oh, if I do this, will my friend get mad at me?
- 32:15SPEAKER_00: Or like, oh, well, I have to do this because if not, she's gonna be upset with me, then like, no.
- 32:20SPEAKER_00: No, that's not how friendships work.
- 32:23SPEAKER_00: It everyone should be meeting everyone where they're at at all times, period.
- 32:26SPEAKER_00: You should never have any expectations for your friendships.
- 32:30SPEAKER_00: If your friend is like, hey, I'm gonna call you today, and they don't call you, great, that's how it should be.
- 32:36SPEAKER_00: Nobody should be mad at anything, you know?
- 32:38SPEAKER_00: It's just how it is.
- 32:39SPEAKER_00: Like, we're all just doing our best.
- 32:42SPEAKER_00: So a friendship that doesn't show you grace is a red flag.
- 32:46SPEAKER_00: Um, okay, I'm gonna do just a few more here.
- 32:50SPEAKER_00: What's your favorite clothing brand right now?
- 32:51SPEAKER_00: This is so hard.
- 32:52SPEAKER_00: I have not shopped.
- 32:53SPEAKER_00: I have not shopped.
- 32:54SPEAKER_00: I feel like I haven't shopped since before I was pregnant.
- 32:56SPEAKER_00: But I'll tell you some of my favorites.
- 32:58SPEAKER_00: I do love Epicrombie recently for some of their basic white tees and their tops, like their tank tops.
- 33:05SPEAKER_00: I've had a shopping cart in there for a while.
- 33:07SPEAKER_00: I love what Gap is doing with their pants.
- 33:09SPEAKER_00: If you're looking for like a non-denim pant to wear all the time, I feel like gap is a really good, affordable place to do that.
- 33:16SPEAKER_00: Same with Old Navy.
- 33:17SPEAKER_00: Like I have some of my favorite shorts are from Old Navy.
- 33:19SPEAKER_00: But I also weirdly love Brandy Melville.
- 33:23SPEAKER_00: I know they're not the best company, but they all their stuff is 100% cotton, which I really love.
- 33:27SPEAKER_00: It's one size fits all, which isn't the best for everyone.
- 33:32SPEAKER_00: But I personally liked it because if something doesn't fit me right, I just don't get it, you know?
- 33:35SPEAKER_00: It's like not the shirt for me.
- 33:37SPEAKER_00: But I love their white tees.
- 33:39SPEAKER_00: Like their t-shirts are some of my favorite in my drawer that I've worn nonstop since becoming a mom.
- 33:44SPEAKER_00: But other than that, like, hello, I could shop at Anthropology and Free People for the rest of my life.
- 33:48SPEAKER_00: Does anyone else feel that way?
- 33:50SPEAKER_00: I walk into both of those stores and I truly could buy anything.
- 33:53SPEAKER_00: Like anything.
- 33:55SPEAKER_00: I just haven't actually shopped there in a long time.
- 34:00SPEAKER_00: Oh God, I want to go shopping.
- 34:02SPEAKER_00: Sounds so fun.
- 34:03SPEAKER_00: Okay, another one.
- 34:04SPEAKER_00: I'm a full-time working mom.
- 34:05SPEAKER_00: How do I get my social life back?
- 34:08SPEAKER_00: This one's so hard.
- 34:09SPEAKER_00: Working full-time and being a mom.
- 34:12SPEAKER_00: I mean, you are in a very specific difficult category.
- 34:16SPEAKER_00: You're already leaving the house all day, every day.
- 34:19SPEAKER_00: So your time with your kids is short because it's at the beginning of the day or the end of the day.
- 34:24SPEAKER_00: And then on top of that, you also want to have a social life, which would be in those pockets of time when you're with your family.
- 34:32SPEAKER_00: That's really hard.
- 34:33SPEAKER_00: Okay, I think the only answer is to come up with some sort of a rotation with people that you like.
- 34:38SPEAKER_00: So the first part would be like finding a group of friends that you can hang with a little bit, even if they're not up to speed, like even if they're not in your specific category of working mom and full-time and same-age kids, all that.
- 34:53SPEAKER_00: But like find some people in your circle that you enjoy hanging out with, and then rotate whose house you go to.
- 35:00SPEAKER_00: Have them over one Saturday, and then the next month, you guys all go to Molly's house.
- 35:06SPEAKER_00: And then the next month, you all go to Jessica's house.
- 35:11SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 35:12SPEAKER_00: Doing something like that creates a little bit of a repeated camaraderie that feels really good and feels really intimate, but you're not doing an insane amount of work.
- 35:21SPEAKER_00: Like you're not bringing the kids into a restaurant and having to like not enjoy yourself.
- 35:26SPEAKER_00: When you go to a when you go to someone's house who also has kids, it's just an easier playing field, no matter what.
- 35:32SPEAKER_00: So you open your house up, like start at your house, have everyone over for like a little barbecue, a little grill out, or like a movie night or pizza, something like that.
- 35:42SPEAKER_00: Even if it's during the day, like have everyone over to go jump in the pool and just grill some burgers out, whatever.
- 35:48SPEAKER_00: And then slowly that'll start to happen at those people's homes as well.
- 35:51SPEAKER_00: And I feel like that's the best way to do it.
- 35:53SPEAKER_00: You just have to keep it in the home, but outside of your home, if that makes any sense.
- 35:58SPEAKER_00: Because it's the only way you can enjoy hanging out with your kids and your friends at the same time.
- 36:02SPEAKER_00: You just have to open up the door for both to be allowed.
- 36:05SPEAKER_00: I hope that made sense.
- 36:07SPEAKER_00: Okay, well, I have been talking far too long and I gotta run.
- 36:10SPEAKER_00: This is like the end of Andy's nap time.
- 36:12SPEAKER_00: I gotta go wake her up and Peter and I have to go run errands.
- 36:14SPEAKER_00: But this was so lovely.
- 36:16SPEAKER_00: Thank you for asking me so many questions.
- 36:18SPEAKER_00: There were a few more silly goose ones on here that I thought were so fun.
- 36:21SPEAKER_00: Peter is literally at the door, reminding me that I have 10 minutes until we have to leave.
- 36:26SPEAKER_00: My gosh, and by the way, I just have to say somebody asked me if I'm excited for Andy's first around the holiday.
- 36:31SPEAKER_00: It's like, yes, yes, I am.
- 36:32SPEAKER_00: I'm so excited.
- 36:34SPEAKER_00: The moment she was born, I started thinking about her first Christmas.
- 36:36SPEAKER_00: Like, what?
- 36:37SPEAKER_00: I'm not even one of those Christmas girls.
- 36:39SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm not obsessed with the holiday.
- 36:40SPEAKER_00: But now, having a baby, I'm obsessed.
- 36:44SPEAKER_00: Um okay, but I really could keep talking.
- 36:46SPEAKER_00: Like, I have to put a stop to it.
- 36:47SPEAKER_00: I love you guys.
- 36:48SPEAKER_00: Thank you so much for asking questions and just being a part of this community.
- 36:51SPEAKER_00: I am so, so, so grateful for it.
- 36:53SPEAKER_00: And I'll talk to you guys next week.
- 36:54SPEAKER_00: Hope everyone has a great weekend.
- 36:56SPEAKER_00: Talk to you guys soon.
- 36:57SPEAKER_00: Bye for now.
